Why Are We Doing This to Our Kids?

Why are we feeding our kids ultra-processed foods? In 1948, the childhood obesity rate was less than 1%, and food allergies, asthma, and autism were virtually non-existent. Discover the detrimental health consequences of the ultra-processed food diet in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Obesity, disease, and diet in 1948 3:46 Obesity in children 4:10 Ultra-processed foods 4:34 The problem with the ultra-processed food diet 6:07 Ultra-processed food calories today 6:29 Seed oils 7:00 Refined starches Download the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App here: https://drbrg.co/4ngJiL1 Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/3JwV70J Android Download: https://drbrg.co/4mv0Bbd When my father was a child in 1948, he recalls a different way of life. Sugary cereals like Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch, and Fruity Pebbles did not line the aisles of the grocery store. Children did not have mid-morning snacks at school and were told not to spoil their appetites by eating before dinner. Saturated fats were not demonized as they are today. Lard and tallow were found in every kitchen, and red meat was a dietary staple. Most people had gardens and relied on the skill of canning to get them through the winter. Obesity and chronic disease in childhood were uncommon, while childhood obesity, food allergies, asthma, and autism plague the children of today! The largest category of ultra-processed foods are snack foods. The problem with snacking is that you spike insulin every time you eat. Carbohydrates create the most significant spike in insulin. Not only are we snacking, but we’re snacking on the worst foods! The pancreas is constantly working to pump out insulin to remove sugar from the blood. This eventually leads to insulin resistance, which is behind almost every chronic illness, including a fatty liver, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, inflammatory diseases, mood disorders, dementia, and more. In 1948, we did not have not have ultra-processed food calories. Today, 65% of the teenage diet comes from ultra-processed food calories. This number is around 50% for adults and 45% for toddlers. Seed oils, such as soy, corn, cottonseed, and canola, are the worst ultra-processed food ingredients. Around 25% to 30% of all our calories come from seed oils. Grain-based starches generate 220 billion dollars per year! Highly processed industrial starches such as modified food starch, modified cornstarch, and maltodextrin spike blood sugar—often higher than consuming sugar does! --- Learn more about your ad choices. So, let’s talk about longevity. Of course there are common signs of aging like wrinkles, gray hair, or loss of hearing. But these aren’t actually good indicators of how old someone is or how long they might live. I believe the best indicator to determine longevity is muscle strength. As a person ages, they lose muscle mass and strength. There is a strong association between the loss of muscle strength and mortality. The muscles that are affected first are the anterior thigh muscles (the quadriceps). One test that is used to determine if someone has sarcopenia (muscle atrophy) is the sit-to-stand time test or a chair-to-stand test. You can also try the hand grip strength test. The best ways to support longevity: 1. Take vitamin D 2. Do resistance-type exercise 3. Consume nutrient-dense foods 4. Do fasting 5. Keep your cortisol low 6. Improve your state of mind 7. Consume an adequate amount of quality protein 8. Take HMB (if you have sarcopenia) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Ugly Truth About Yogurt (You Won’t Like It)

Yogurt is touted as a health food that can help support the gut microbiome, but really, how healthy is yogurt? In this video, discover all the things you didn’t know about yogurt. Your gut health depends on this! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Is yogurt bad for you? 0:10 Fermented foods 1:00 Yogurt side effects and benefits 3:10 Commercial yogurt vs. homemade yogurt 5:11 Unhealthy facts about yogurt 6:45 Processed yogurt ingredients 8:59 Probiotics, kefir, and sauerkraut The benefits of yogurt and other fermented foods do not lie in their ability to reseed the gut. The real benefit is the change in environment. Fermented and cultured foods change the pH and oxygen levels in the gut. They also provide food and metabolites for the gut microbes, which can also help activate dormant microbes. Many microbes have been suppressed by antibiotics, junk food, and other factors. Many of them are keystone microbes, which are vital for your gut health. Unless your yogurt says it contains live and active cultures, it’s been double-pasteurized. Commercial yogurt typically ferments for 1 to 2 hours, whereas traditional homemade yogurt ferments anywhere from 8 to 36 hours. By the time you eat commercial yogurt, there are significantly fewer CFUs of bacteria than stated on the label. Sugar in yogurt can kill the friendly bacteria and feed pathogens in your gut. Added ingredients, such as pectin, gels, and guar gum, inhibit bacterial movement. Yogurt fermented for only 1 to 2 hours will not have the right texture or thickness, so ingredients such as modified food starch, carrageenan, and polysorbate 80 are added. These ingredients can destroy the mucosal layer of the gut, leading to leaky gut and inflammation. Many commercial yogurts contain artificial sweeteners, which are known to alter the gut microbiome. Many processed yogurts contain bioengineered food ingredients that may contain traces of glyphosate, a patented antibiotic. This means the very product you’re consuming to support your gut health could be destroying your gut microbes. Probiotics contain significantly more microbes than yogurt. These freeze-dried microbes are often able to reach the large intestine and reseed the gut, especially when taken repetitively. Kefir, which contains both bacteria and yeast, is also a better option than yogurt. Sauerkraut is an excellent food for gut health. It contains polyphenols, postbiotics, SCFAs, sulforaphane, organic acids, glutamine, and the compound s-methylmethionine. Egg Prices Are NOT by Accident

What’s really behind the price and scarcity of eggs? Today, I’m going to interview Clayton Baker, M.D. to discuss the recent bird flu outbreak. Egg prices are not random, and the outbreak is not an accident! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Welcome, Dr. Clayton Baker! 2:47 The bird flu outbreak 5:44 The effect on farmers and the food supply 7:20 The cost to the American taxpayer 8:18 Bird flu vaccines 9:15 What can we do? DATA: https://brownstone.org/articles/bird-... Please join me in welcoming Dr. Clayton Baker! Dr. Baker points out the similarities between the current bird flu outbreak and the COVID-19 outbreak of 2020. The media creates fear, followed by a pandemic, to gain control. This eventually leads to civil rights violations, including lockdowns and work bans. Next, people are coerced into taking profitable yet toxic vaccines as a countermeasure against the outbreak. We are witnessing this once again with the current bird flu outbreak. There are two labs in the US: the Southeast Poultry Research Lab, funded by the USDA, and the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School, which conducts gain-of-function research on viruses. This involves manipulating a naturally occurring virus to make it more deadly and able to jump from species to species. Farmers are encouraged to perform PCR tests on their flocks, which are known for false positives. If any of their birds test positive for bird flu, they are paid to slaughter their entire flock. The increase in egg prices is not due to bird deaths from bird flu but rather the mass slaughter of birds. Over 1.25 billion taxpayer dollars have been used to fund this mass slaughter. Ultimately, the goal is to mass vaccinate chickens in the food supply against bird flu. Gain-of-function research is dangerous and must stop! We can also help combat this problem by purchasing eggs from smaller farmers at farmer’s markets. #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching! I hope this increases your awareness about the bird flu epidemic. I’ll see you in the next video. --- Learn more about your ad choices. I used to be a professional procrastinator, so what changed? Dieting slows your metabolism a little bit more each time you do it, especially if the diet is low-calorie or high in carbohydrates. Dieting and losing fat go against our body’s natural survival mechanisms—your body doesn’t like to give up fat. When diets don’t work, people tend to mislabel themselves as lazy or as a procrastinator. But they’ve just been on the wrong diet plan. When your diet program is working, you’ll see results, and you’ll stick to it. If you’re on the right diet and you’re burning fat, you may not notice weight loss at first, but you will notice two things: 1. Your cravings will go away 2. Your appetite will go away This happens because you’re burning fat even when you’re not eating, which makes it much easier to stick to the keto plan. If you’re not losing weight right away on keto, you need to consider this key weight loss principle: you don’t lose weight then get healthy—you have to get healthy so you can lose weight. Various health conditions affect weight loss and also take time to heal. But, if you’re cravings and appetite go away, the diet is working. If you think you don’t have enough time to put into diet and exercise, you may want to take a closer look at your daily routine. As you plan out your day, put exercise and preparing healthy meals at the top of your to-do list as necessities. You may also need to change up your workout to fit your body's needs. What Happens If You Take Collagen Every Day?

I’m sure you’ve heard of using collagen for skin, hair, and anti-aging, but does collagen really work? It does, but in more ways than you think! Find out about the real benefit of collagen you’ve probably never heard about. Learn more about collagen absorption to maximize the benefits! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters:- 0:00 Introduction: Collagen benefits 1:04 What is collagen? 2:45 More benefits of collagen 4:10 Collagen peptides 7:58 The best collagen sources 9:22 Improving collagen absorption and function Collagen is often used for hair, skin, nails, and joints. It’s been used to prevent wrinkles and as a beauty product, but the real benefit of collagen has nothing to do with beauty! Our ancestors ate animals nose to tail. This means they included organ meats, bone marrow, cartilage, and skin as vital parts of their diet. Around 30% of the protein in your body is collagen. It makes up the connective tissue of the body. Your tendons, ligaments, cartilage, fascia, and even a portion of your bones are made of collagen. In modern times, most of our meat doesn’t contain much collagen. Only 1% to 3% of the protein we eat is collagen. This can lead to deficiencies in glycine, a key amino acid. When you’re 17, you have the most collagen of your entire life. As we age, we lose a significant amount of collagen, leading to skin sagging, wrinkles, joint issues, and increased overall fragility. Here are some of the surprising benefits of collagen: •Antioxidant properties •Helps increase glutathione •Gut lining repair •Glycine for sleep and detoxification Most of the collagen from the diet breaks down into amino acids. Only 10% remains as collagen peptide chains. Peptides are signaling molecules that tell the body to repair and rebuild connective tissue. These peptides trigger specific genes that activate the fibroblast cells in the body to produce collagen and elastin. When you consume muscle meat, eggs, and whey protein, you’re only getting amino acids, not the signaling molecules for repairing and rebuilding. To increase your collagen intake, you can try a collagen supplement. You can also consume collagen-rich foods, such as the skin on chicken or fish. You can use bones, joints, and cartilage to make a variety of stews and soups. Bone marrow is an excellent source of collagen! Grass-fed, grass-finished beef has more collagen than conventional beef. #1 Best Food to Unclog Arteries

Find out about the #1 best food in the world to help unclog arteries and prevent a heart attack or a stroke. This food works to clean arteries naturally and doesn’t come with negative side effects. Find out how to clean your arteries and improve your cardiovascular health with this one food today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The best food for clogged arteries 0:10 Aspirin to prevent heart disease 0:56 Blocked arteries and heart attacks 2:11 How to clean arteries naturally with EPA 2:50 EPA benefits 4:30 The best food for clogged arteries 5:03 Vitamin D benefits DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Aspirin helps prevent heart attacks by thinning the blood and reducing clot formation. A blood clot causes 80% of all heart attacks and strokes. While Aspirin has helped people, it does come with side effects and may not be for everyone. Surprisingly, 50% of all heart attacks occur between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., likely due to higher levels of cortisol in the morning. Both cortisol and adrenaline can increase clotting. EPA, an omega-3 fatty acid, acts as a natural blood thinner without the negative side effects. Research has shown that EPA can thin the blood comparably to low-dose Aspirin. EPA can stabilize vulnerable arterial plaquing by decreasing inflammation. One 2019 study found that people who consumed EPA experienced a significant decrease in plaquing, decreased inflammation, and decreased cardiovascular events. It can also positively affect your mood by reducing cortisol and adrenaline. EPA helps prevent blocked arteries by making your platelets less sticky. Salmon, mackerel, fatty fish, and fish oil contain EPA, but there’s a better source! Cod liver oil or cod liver is the best food to unclog your arteries naturally. Along with EPA, cod liver oil contains vitamins A and D. The active form of vitamin A, retinol, helps to repair the body’s internal tissues. It’s also a potent anti-inflammatory and can help decrease atherosclerotic plaquing. In one study, out of 1000 compounds, vitamin D was the most effective at preventing damage to the internal layer of the arteries. Vitamin D increases nitric oxide and the stiffness of the arteries. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory, stabilizes plaque, prevents rupture, and decreases arterial calcification. Sciatic nerve pain can be caused by a protruded disc, scar tissue on the nerve root, arthritis, an injury, or extended periods of sitting. Poor posture, excess driving, and aging can also contribute to the problem. Inversion uses the weight of your upper body to pull down on your lower back, creating negative pressure and increasing blood flow. This also breaks up adhesions and scar tissue. For the quickest lower back pain relief, try intermittent inversion traction. This involves inverting your body for 1 to 2 minutes and then repeatedly returning to an upright position. It can significantly reduce sciatic nerve pain by targeting the nerve, disc, scar tissue, and blood flow all at once. Research has shown that inversion therapy increases flexibility, reduces the risk of surgery for sciatica, and can relieve lower back pain better than medication. If you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or heart problems, check with your doctor before doing inversion therapy. Start slow with inversion therapy. Begin with a gentle angle of 15–30 degrees for just 1–2 minutes, once or twice a day for the first week. Gradually work up to 5 minutes at a time (in 1-minute intervals) at a 60-degree angle over the next 1–2 weeks. After 3–4 weeks, you can try full inversion for 15–20 minutes, broken into 2-minute intervals, three to four times per week. Intermittent inversion traction will leave you feeling taller with less sciatic nerve pain. You’ll also feel like you’ve had a fantastic stretch! Other ways to eliminate sciatica pain include: •Following a low-carb ketogenic diet •Take 20,000 to 30,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 400 mg of magnesium glycinate (include vitamin K2) •Eliminate omega-6 seed oils from your diet •Perform myofascial stretching You can also perform sciatica stretches without an inversion table! Try the child’s pose with blankets, a wall-assisted leg-up stretch, or lying spinal decompression with a stability ball for sciatic nerve pain relief. Swimming can also be very therapeutic. Breakfast is a Lie

What you eat for breakfast affects how you feel for the rest of the day. Discover the best breakfast foods that boost morning energy and improve cognitive function throughout the day. Find out how a healthy morning breakfast can significantly change your overall well-being. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How breakfast affects your day 1:22 The problem with carbs for breakfast 1:30 Collagen Peptides 4:09 Protein for a healthy breakfast 4:30 Eggs for breakfast 4:53 What to eat for breakfast 7:48 The importance of sleep Download the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App here: https://drbrg.co/4mqiYxH Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/47EBkXd Android Download: https://drbrg.co/3Jrgj8x Check out the NEW Collagen Peptide product here: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/3PzIjGJ Fix your gut health with this free guide: • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe What you eat for breakfast affects your ability to focus, your creative ability to solve problems, and how well you sleep at night. A carb-heavy breakfast promotes insulin resistance, which inhibits your ability to absorb fuel. The first place you’ll notice this is in your brain. Ketones are a much better fuel for your brain than sugar. To make ketones, you need to lower your carbs and sugar. You can also produce ketones by fasting. While fasting, your body must convert to making ketones for energy. Carbohydrate breakfast foods leave you hungry within an hour-and-a-half of eating. Sugary cereal is a poor choice for breakfast. Magic Spoon or keto-friendly granola without added sugar is a better option. Oatmeal is generally one of the most ultra-processed foods. If you want to eat oatmeal for breakfast, look for regular oatmeal without sugar. The best option for oatmeal is steel-cut oats, although they take longer to cook. Oatmeal and wheat are heavily sprayed with glyphosate, which has been shown to cause cancer and problems with your gut. Choose organic to avoid this problem. Replacing your breakfast food with protein such as meat, bacon, and eggs can significantly change your energy levels and cognitive function. Eggs and bacon are the perfect healthy morning breakfast. You can also add avocado or cheese. Cheese is very nutritious, a good source of protein, and has good bacteria due to the fermentation process. Yogurt is a great breakfast option. Choose organic Greek or Bulgarian yogurt without added sugar, or make your own yogurt. Instead of giving your kids Wonder bread, try a sprouted bread like Ezekiel bread. Add peanut butter for extra protein. Red meat and pork sausage are also great breakfast foods. It’s important to prioritize sleep! Losing just one hour of sleep can significantly affect your blood sugar and cognitive state. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... https://www.nia.nih.gov/news/changes-...https://alz-journals.onlinelibrary.wi... https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/s... Surprisingly, one of the earliest signs of dementia involves the retina. There is a high correlation between problems in the retina and problems in the brain. Problems with night vision or central vision, floaters, and light sensitivity issues are the earliest signs of dementia. Some people develop amyloid-beta plaquing on the retina and may experience problems differentiating shades of grey and other colors. Researchers have found high levels of microbes, typically found in the mouth, in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. When people die from dementia, it’s usually caused by an infection such as a UTI or lung infection. For some people, surgery can be too much on the body and lead to death. Some people with dementia have a slow, progressive degeneration of the brain to the point they’re bedridden and stop eating and drinking, which ultimately leads to death. Focus on cleaning your brain and reducing inflammation for dementia prevention. The glymphatic system cleans the brain, mainly at night, which is one of the primary purposes of sleep. This system removes malformed proteins and plaquing and rejuvenates the brain. Anything that inhibits sleeping may increase your risk for Alzheimer’s, heart attacks, strokes, cancer, blood sugar issues, and type 2 diabetes. Sleep apnea can also be problematic. You need 8 to 9 hours of sleep! Alcohol significantly interferes with REM sleep and is very damaging to brain health. To prevent Alzheimer’s, you must flood the brain with oxygen. Exercise is one of the best ways to do this! Exercise stimulates the growth of brain cells and the hormone BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). Adequate sun exposure and high amounts of vitamin D can help support healthy sleep. A diet high in sugar and carbohydrates can starve your neurons. Brain cells love ketones! To get into ketosis, you must lower your carbohydrate intake. If you have any early signs of dementia, try taking ketones as a supplement or MCT oil. Niacin may also be helpful. Take 50 mg daily, slowly increasing to 500 mg per day. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Check out this interesting interview with Manuel Suarez! Check out Manuel Suarez's YouTube Channel Here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ManuelSuarezNinja 0:00 Introduction: Understanding type 1 diabetes 0:10 What is type 1 diabetes? 0:30 Low-carb and type 1 diabetes 1:06 Welcome, Manuel Suarez! 1:32 Manuel’s story 10:13 His transition into keto 17:16 His exercise routine 22:32 An important tip for type 1 diabetes We have a wonderful guest with us today! Manuel Suarez is going to share his incredible story and how he uses the keto diet and intermittent fasting as tools to deal with type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a situation where you can’t produce insulin, which means you can’t regulate your blood sugar. A person with type 1 diabetes depends on insulin medication to keep their blood sugar from going too high. But, if you lower your carbohydrates, you can decrease your need for insulin. High blood sugar is unhealthy, but so is high insulin. The goal is to take the least amount of insulin possible to have normal blood sugar levels. Before keto and fasting, Manuel was taking around 40 units of fast-acting insulin a day and 25 units of long-acting insulin a day. After being on the keto diet and intermittent fasting, he only takes two to five units of fast-acting insulin daily and ten units of long-acting insulin daily. One of the components he attributes his success to is exercising regularly. What works best for him is a high-intensity workout for 30 minutes three to four times per week. A key tip to take away is that if you’re doing OMAD, try having your meal between 2 pm and 3 pm to maximize your results. I think this interview will encourage you and help answer some of your questions about type 1 diabetes in relation to keto and fasting. Enjoy! Is chicken really healthy? Learn the truth about chicken. 0:00 Introduction: Is chicken healthy? 0:18 The truth about chicken 6:40 Beef vs. chicken 7:40 Check out this video on beef! Let’s talk about chicken. Chicken is the most genetically manipulated animal protein that you can consume, and there are consequences when you alter the natural process of growing a chicken. Chickens are typically raised in a very inhumane and unhealthy environment. Many issues with the chicken you buy from the store are present because of the conditions the chicken was raised in. Store-bought chickens even have added coloring, which is used to make them look healthy and appetizing. But, the need for this coloring can be traced back to the chicken’s environment. Another big problem with chicken is that it’s very high in omega-6 fatty acids, which means it’s very inflammatory. Chickens are also fed inflammatory ingredients, like used cooking oil, that is in chicken feeds. This contributes to chicken meat being inflammatory. Chicken is also low in nutrition. When comparing beef and chicken, beef is much more nutrient-dense and contains less omega-6 fatty acids. Vitamin B12 The best forms of vitamin B12: • Methylcobalamin • Hydroxy B12 2. Folate (vitamin B9) The best form of folate: • Methylfolate 3. Vitamin D3 4. Vitamin B1 (thiamine) 5. NEVER Drink Baking Soda Until You Watch This!

Is baking soda safe to drink? It has been used in countless natural remedies, but are there any baking soda dangers you should be aware of? Watch this video before drinking baking soda or using a baking soda remedy! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Is baking soda safe to drink? 0:39 Baking soda health benefits 0:49 Baking soda for an acid stomach 2:49 Baking soda for teeth and oral health 4:33 How to safely use baking soda 5:11 Other natural remedies using baking soda Sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline compound made naturally by the pancreas to help neutralize stomach acid as it enters the small intestine. A poorly functioning pancreas can result in bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Baking soda can work as a temporary solution for an acid stomach, but not for indigestion! Indigestion is caused by low stomach acid, so baking soda would only worsen the problem. Apple cider vinegar and betaine hydrochloride can help with indigestion. GERD and acid reflux are also related to low stomach acid, but baking soda can help temporarily. ACV and betaine hydrochloride are better long-term solutions. Baking soda can also help with gastritis, but it should be taken with zinc carnosine for this problem. Stomach acid should be highly acidic with a pH between 1 and 3. Drinking baking soda for long periods can neutralize your stomach acid, inhibiting your ability to digest protein, absorb B12, and absorb minerals. Low stomach acid can also lower your ability to kill microbes and pathogens in your food. Baking soda neutralizes the acid in your mouth and is an excellent addition to toothpaste. It can also help relieve itching related to a kidney problem and enhance athletic performance! Baking soda consumption can help prevent kidney stones and can also be helpful if you have a UTI. Baking soda can be used topically for certain insect bites, especially for fire ant bites and bee stings. It can also be used as pest control for insects like cockroaches. Don't take baking soda with vinegar or lemon juice! This creates a significant amount of carbon dioxide, which can leave you feeling bloated. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to lose weight without dieting 0:10 Exercise for weight loss 0:51 Ice baths for weight loss 2:55 Can you lose weight without diet changes? 3:45 Fat-burning tips 4:13 Reducing insulin to lose weight 4:48 Weight loss on the carnivore diet 5:09 Intermittent fasting and weight loss 6:00 Carbohydrates and fat-burning It's very difficult to lose even one pound of body fat without changing your diet. If you eat junk food, you’ll have to burn even more calories to burn extra fat. Weight loss is 15% exercise and 85% diet! You have to change your diet if you want to lose weight. There’s no way around it! Exercise improves fitness, muscle tone, and health, but it is not the key to weight loss and certainly won’t help you lose weight fast. If you want to lose fat and not just water weight, you have to keep insulin low. Decreasing insulin will also decrease your appetite and cravings. To reduce insulin, you must go on a low-carb diet! The carnivore diet involves eliminating all carbohydrates and eating meat, eggs, fish, and cheese. This simple diet can help you lose weight fast! Intermittent fasting is the key to fat loss. It can also help with other health problems, such as inflammation, high blood pressure, diabetes, and depression. Remember, carbs block fat burning. You can lose weight without changing your diet, but it won't be much! Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. One Simple Shift for Lasting Weight Loss (Better Than Ozempic)

Keto and intermittent fasting can help you lose weight and lower high insulin, but there’s something even more important for weight loss. In this video, I’m going to share my number one best weight loss tip. Don’t overcomplicate weight loss! This simple tip is the key to your success. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Dr. Berg’s best weight loss tip! 1:20 What is the problem with high insulin? 2:45 Intermittent fasting 3:27 Addictive ultra-processed foods 4:24 Download my new app! 4:50 Protein and weight loss 7:32 More weight loss tips Here’s the secret! Don’t eat until you’re hungry! People often eat for emotional reasons. This trains the body to associate food with stress relief, happiness, and pleasure. Many people will also keep eating even after they’re full. Constant eating leaves you constantly bloated and turning to antacids for relief. It overwhelms the microbes, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and stomach, causing them to work overtime. If you’re eating when you’re not hungry, you’re constantly spiking insulin. Insulin is the hormone that causes fat storage and removes sugar from the blood. When you have chronic high insulin, you develop a protective mechanism called insulin resistance, where insulin no longer works. This leads to more hunger and cravings. If you only eat when you are hungry, your body will tell you how long you should fast. Fasting allows you to burn your own fat for fuel. Other than fat burning, other intermittent fasting benefits include brain cell growth, elevated mood, improved cognitive function, and decreased inflammation. Self-control and willpower are developed if you only eat when you are hungry. Food companies came up with the slogan, “There is no bad food.” This is a lie! Ultra-processed foods are bad foods. Junk food companies have worked to create the bliss point. This is the ultimate pleasure sensation you receive from eating junk foods. This maximum dopamine rush is caused by the perfect ratio of sugar, salt, and fat. My new app can help you easily navigate the grocery store and quickly discover the starches, sugars, and seed oils hiding in your food. Junk foods do not have protein. This causes you to continue to eat them because you will continue to eat until your protein needs are met. They are also devoid of nutrients. Focus on nutrient-dense, high-quality protein to keep you feeling full. Avoid mindless eating and snacking. If you’re not hungry at breakfast time, skip it and only have lunch and dinner. Stay busy throughout the day and ensure that your environment supports healthy eating. The HUGE Mistake Counting Carbs on Keto (Ketogenic Diet)

Free PDF Guide - Keto Strategy Tips 👉 https://drbrg.co/4baO3iO Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. All you need to do is focus on lowering your carbs, right? Wrong. Find out how to avoid this huge mistake when counting carbs on keto. Healthy Ketogenic Diet Basics Step 1: Intermittent Fasting and Fat Burning ▶️https://youtu.be/vMZfyEy_jpI Healthy Ketogenic Diet Basics Step 2: WHAT TO EAT ▶️ https://youtu.be/mBqpaAKtnXE 0:00 Introduction: One of the biggest keto mistakes 0:25 Counting carbs on keto 0:52 Protein and insulin 1:32 Foods that don’t trigger insulin 1:55 The insulin index explained 9:12 Check out this video on the glycemic index and glycemic load! Let’s talk about the biggest mistake you can make when counting carbs on keto. Understanding this crucial information will help you achieve better results on the keto plan. On the keto diet, you reduce your carbs to below 50 grams. We do this because carbs increase insulin, and insulin blocks ketosis. If you’re not in ketosis, you’re not doing the ketogenic diet correctly. But carbs aren't the only factor to consider. You need to remember that protein can also increase insulin, especially if you have insulin resistance, prediabetes, or diabetes. It doesn’t affect insulin as much as carbohydrates, but it can still raise your insulin. Only two foods don’t trigger insulin: fat and fiber. When combined with other foods, fat and fiber can also help buffer the effect of insulin. A blood sugar level between 70 and 80 is ideal. If your blood sugar is too low or too high, you’re going to experience a range of symptoms and potential health problems. But, if your blood sugar level is perfect, you’re going to feel fantastic. The insulin index is the scale of foods that trigger insulin. Understanding the insulin index is crucial—it’s one of the most important things to focus on when trying to achieve health. The lower the food is on the index, the better it is. Stick to consuming foods lower on the insulin index for more success on keto—don't only focus on counting carbs. The Most Dangerous “Therapy” in the World Still Used in America

Stop this barbaric treatment! Sign the petition here: https://stopect.com/email-congress Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) This barbaric medical treatment is still being used to treat depression and mental illness in the US. Find out about the dangerous side effects of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), one of the most controversial mental health treatments that exists. You won’t believe they’re still doing this! 0:00 Introduction: ECT for depression 0:41 Electroshock treatment background 2:11 Is ECT dangerous? 2:23 What is electroconvulsive therapy? 4:22 More side effects of electroconvulsive therapy 4:38 Trauma from electroshock therapy This barbaric mental health therapy costs around $2000 to $2500 per treatment, and is covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and the VA system. It’s a multibillion-dollar market! The average treatment plan includes 12 sessions in the first month, followed by maintenance sessions every 3 weeks. This treatment has never been scientifically proven to work! There have been no official trials, and it has even been performed on children and pregnant women. The UN calls this treatment a human rights abuse and compares this forced treatment on minors to torture. In China, it’s actually used as a form of torture. In addition, this treatment has never been FDA-approved and was merely grandfathered in. In 2018, the FDA downgraded it from a high-risk classification to a moderate-risk classification. This dangerous treatment causes structural brain damage, creates swelling and inflammation in the brain, and even kills brain cells. Electroconvulsive therapy involves putting 150 volts through a person's brain to induce a grand mal seizure. ECT treatment comes with many side effects, has 60 documented adverse events, and can cause permanent brain damage, memory loss, and heart attacks. This treatment uses enough energy to stop the heart, and there is nothing stopping the voltage from traveling to the rest of the body. This can lead to cardiac arrest! People who use this treatment are also at an increased risk of suicide. I’ve seen firsthand in practice that people who’ve had this treatment lose their personality, humor, creativity, and more. ECT treatment can lead to death, destruction of cells and mitochondria, and shrinking of the hippocampus. Neurologist Dr. John Feinberg noted in 1977 that ECT caused structural brain damage, indistinguishable from head trauma. If you have depression, diet and lifestyle changes may help. Increasing vitamin D levels, B-vitamin levels, and omega-3 levels, along with a low-carb diet and intermittent fasting, can significantly improve your symptoms. #1 Best Meal to Prevent a Heart Attack and Stroke

The best meal to prevent a heart attack or stroke will also help clean your arteries! Support cardiovascular health naturally by consuming the top foods for stroke and heart attack prevention that also help prevent blocked arteries. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to clean arteries naturally 1:12 Clot formation and blocked arteries 4:10 Excess iron 5:57 Leaky gums, leaky gut, and cardiovascular disease 6:42 Foods that unclog arteries and prevent heart attack 10:56 More tips to prevent a heart attack or stroke Did you know that clots cause 80%-90% of heart attacks and 87%-91% of strokes? This is why the top foods for stroke and heart attack prevention also help clean your arteries. Typically, when a clot forms, it dissolves within minutes or hours. This is a normal survival mechanism and does not cause heart attacks or strokes. When the normal clotting process becomes dysfunctional, you can develop blocked arteries. Dysfunctional clotting typically starts from a leak in your gums or gut when endotoxins enter the body. Excess iron can contribute to the problem. Pathogens need iron to survive. Excessive free iron can feed and amplify endotoxins, thereby awakening dormant pathogenic microbes. Excess iron typically comes from fortified foods, such as bread, pasta, cereal, and ultra-processed carbs. If you need iron, it's best to get it from red meat rather than a supplement. Stress increases adrenaline, which can amplify the effects of pathogens and cause them to consume more iron. The following factors can cause issues in the gut, which can in turn affect the clotting process and contribute to blocked arteries: •Gluten •Alcohol •Smoking •Seed oils •Ultra-processed foods •NSAIDs •Antibiotics To prevent a heart attack naturally, try the following meal. It’s composed of the best foods for clogged arteries! •Wild-caught salmon or fatty fish •Salad: Arugula, beets, extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar •Garlic •Sauerkraut •Green or black tea •Dark chocolate After the meal, go for a 10-20 minute post-meal walk, focusing on nasal breathing. How to Get Thicker and Shinier Hair

This one superfood is the key to hair growth and healthy hair! In this video, we’ll cover 4 superfoods for hair growth, including the most important food for hair health. Add these nutrient-rich foods for hair to your diet today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The best foods for hair growth 0:50 Vitamin D3 and hair loss prevention 2:24 The #1 food for hair growth 2:54 Iron and hair health Today, we’re going to talk about the top foods for hair growth. Number 4 is the most important! 1. Bamboo shoots are high in trace minerals, potassium, and silica—essential for building hair protein. Silica makes hair strong and elastic and also prevents breakage and brittleness. Silica supports skin, joint, and bone health as well! 2. Wild-caught salmon is an excellent source of protein and is loaded with nutrition. It’s also one of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Wild-caught salmon is a potent source of vitamin D3, which can improve nearly every problem with hair loss. Vitamin D controls the hair follicle and can activate dormant hair follicle stem cells. 3. Egg yolks are loaded with biotin, vital for keratin production. They also contain all of the fat-soluble nutrients that are essential for hair growth and hair health. Egg yolks are a rich source of cholesterol, a precursor for the hormones necessary for hair growth. Cholesterol increases hair shine and luster and strengthens the hair shaft. Egg yolks contain vitamin D and sulfur, which supports a healthy scalp. 4. Grass-fed liver contains concentrated amounts of almost every nutrient. It’s high in iron, vital for oxygen transport to the scalp. One of the most common causes of hair shedding is iron deficiency. An iron deficiency can be caused by low iron or a copper deficiency. Copper is vital for the proper function of iron, and beef liver is loaded with it! It also contains zinc, which is essential in the appropriate ratio to copper. Zinc is necessary in the formation of hair and protein synthesis. Beef liver also contains folate and vitamin B12, which can reduce graying. The nutrients in beef liver are bioavailable, so your body can easily absorb them. Beef liver contains the active, bioavailable form of vitamin A and biotin. It’s best to get biotin from a food source rather than a supplement. Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988.
