Let’s talk about why you feel sleepy after eating. If you consume a high-carb diet or even a high-protein diet with a lot of carbs, you elevate blood sugar and insulin levels. This leads to insulin resistance. When you have insulin resistance, your cells resist insulin and fuel. This means that when you eat, the fuel isn’t going into the cells, causing the cells to lack energy. Other causes of fatigue after eating include: • Overeating • Low hydrochloric acid • Lack of sleep • Snacking • Reactivated virus What to do for afternoon sleepiness: 1. Run your body on ketones (get on the keto diet and do intermittent fasting) 2. Fix your sleep 3. Delay drinking your coffee in the morning by 90 to 120 minutes after waking up 4. Take apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride right before you eat Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Microbe That Changes EVERYTHING
The most important microbe can amplify the immune system, increase your muscle mass, and even help you live longer, but most people are missing it! Watch this fascinating interview with Dr. William Davis as we discuss this missing microbe. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Welcome, Dr. William Davis! 0:26 The importance of L. reuteri 3:45 The missing microbe 7:30 L. reuteri and oxytocin 12:15 L. reuteri and empathy 16:26 Antibiotics and restoring gut health 20:42 Gut health and food allergies 25:56 The best way to use Florastor 29:10 How to make L. reuteri yogurt Please join me in welcoming Dr. William Davis, author of “Super Gut” and pioneer in research about the most important microbe called L. reuteri. Rats given L. reuteri stayed young, active, and slender, and their fur remained thick and healthy as they aged. Their immune systems were amplified, and wound healing time was cut in half. Increased testosterone and growth hormone were observed in elderly mice, and the thymus was restored to its original size. Dr. Davis has seen all of these amazing benefits in humans! Many people are missing this microbe! L. reuteri, like other Lactobacillus species, are very susceptible to antibiotics. Dr. Davis estimates that 96% of the population is missing L. reuteri, a major factor in the SIBO epidemic. L. reuteri is a keystone microbe, which is important for the entire body’s ecosystem. It’s been found to increase the hormone oxytocin, traditionally regarded as the hormone of love and empathy. Oxytocin also influences body composition. Many people experience increased muscle mass after consuming L. reuteri, which can be very beneficial in combating age-related muscle loss and many other side effects of aging. You can make your own L. reuteri “yogurt” for its amazing benefits! 1 Tablespoon a Day Burns Belly Fat
Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/3WS8gGo Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. Could 1 tablespoon per day of a potent polyphenol be the natural belly fat solution you’ve been searching for? Watch this video to find out. DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30421960/ 0:00 Introduction: How to lose belly fat 0:24 Do you have a slow metabolism? 1:22 Mitochondrial uncoupling 3:05 Resveratrol benefits 4:01 Other ways to increase mitochondrial uncoupling and burn fat 5:06 What blocks mitochondrial uncoupling? Today, I’m going to tell you how to lose belly fat and burn stubborn fat fast. If you have a slow metabolism, this solution is for you! People who think they have a slow metabolism actually have an efficient metabolism. This means their body requires less fuel. To lose stubborn fat, you must get your body to waste more fuel. The mitochondria are the body's “energy factories,” turning food into stored energy, known as ATP. Uncoupling occurs when the mitochondria make less ATP and more heat. Resveratrol is a natural mitochondrial uncoupler. It’s found in grapes, cranberries, blueberries, dark chocolate, pistachios, and Japanese knotweed. Resveratrol is also made into a powder supplement. One tablespoon per day can help reduce belly fat by encouraging mitochondrial uncoupling. Ketones can cause mitochondrial uncoupling and improve the function of the mitochondria. Cold therapy, exercise, fasting, green tea, saunas, and jacuzzis also cause mitochondrial uncoupling. The following factors can hinder mitochondrial uncoupling, making it difficult to burn fat: • Excess calories • Aging • Sedentary lifestyle • Heavy metal exposure • Certain medications (statins, beta-blockers, Metformin, antibiotics) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. End Dry Cough in 5 Minutes – Here’s How!
Today, I’m going to show you how to get rid of a dry cough in 5 minutes or less! Find out how to stop coughing for good with these effective home remedies. We’ll also look at some of the dry cough common causes to address the root of the problem. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to stop a dry cough 0:38 Dry cough causes 1:35 Vitamin D for asthma and coughing 3:42 How to take vitamin D3 4:01 Other common causes of coughing 4:20 The best dry cough remedy 5:04 NAC for cough 6:32 Other dry cough home remedies More videos on GERD: ▶️ • The Fastest Way To Rid HEARTBURN, GERD and... ▶️ • The Two Causes for GERD – Gastroesophageal... ▶️ • #1 Remedy for Heartburn / Acid Reflux / GE... Today, I’m going to show you how to stop a dry cough, but these home remedies will also work for a mucus cough. Most dry cough remedies involve medication that suppresses the cough. However, suppressing the cough is not always best because coughing is one of the body’s vital defense mechanisms. A cough can result from a post-nasal drip caused by an allergy, cold, virus, or fungal infection. It can also be a side effect of certain medications or be related to GERD or asthma. Many children have asthma because their mothers did not get enough vitamin D during pregnancy. Vitamin D is essential for lung formation. If a cough is caused by croup, vitamin D is also an excellent home remedy. Some coughs are caused by low humidity. In this case, try a humidifier. Laryngospasms can also cause a dry cough. These spasms are often caused by low calcium in the blood. A deficiency in vitamin D3 can cause low blood calcium. Take 20,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily if you’re dealing with a cough related to laryngospasms. Always take magnesium and vitamin K2 with vitamin D3. Chronic dry cough can also be caused by perfumes, smoke, new furniture, or tic disorders. NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine) is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that breaks up mucus in the lungs. To use NAC for a cough, dissolve ¼ teaspoon of NAC powder into 4 ounces of water. Once dissolved, add ⅛ teaspoon of magnesium in the form of Epsom salt. Add this liquid to a nebulizer and breathe in for 5 minutes, 1 to 2 times daily. • Be sure to use food-grade Epsom salt. • Make sure the NAC and Epsom salt are fully dissolved before nebulizing. • Use sterile or distilled water to prevent contamination. • Consult a healthcare professional before nebulizing any homemade solution. Black seed oil and white horehound are also good home remedies for a cough if taken with vitamin D3, K2, magnesium, and zinc. #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching! The #1 BEST Remedy for Dental Plaque (TARTAR)
This is a game changer! Find out how to get rid of tartar naturally with a combination of natural remedies that support tooth health. These dental plaque remedies can also prevent cavities, whiten teeth, and prevent bad breath. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The #1 top remedy for dental plaque 0:20 What causes tartar? 1:23 How to remove plaque 2:03 Clove oil for tartar removal 2:20 Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite is the top remedy for tartar 3:16 Chewing gum for teeth 3:34 How to prevent dental plaque with grass-fed butter Plaque and tartar are biofilms, which can be described as a protective shield against the immune system in your mouth. Biofilms are produced by a microbe called Streptococcus mutans, which also causes cavities. Surprisingly, this microbe has been found in other parts of the body, including the valves of the heart and the plaque in your arteries. Sugar consumption is one of the leading causes of tartar, but consuming sugar with starch is even worse! This can form a glue that sticks to your teeth. You must stop eating starch and sugar to prevent plaque and tartar from forming. To make a natural toothpaste that can effectively remove plaque, combine the following: •1/2 teaspoon 3% hydrogen peroxide, food-grade •1/2 teaspoon baking soda •3 drops of clove oil •1/2 teaspoon microcrystalline hydroxyapatite Combine 3 teaspoons of water with this mixture and brush your teeth with the mixture once daily. Hydrogen peroxide helps break down biofilms and whiten teeth. Baking soda has mild abrasive properties to clean teeth and alkalize the mouth. Clove oil is the best essential oil for oral health. It breaks down tartar and can even help decrease oral pain. Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite can enter the small crevices of the teeth and remineralize the bone tissue. It also prevents acid from breaking down the tooth. You can also chew certain types of gum that can help repopulate the friendly bacteria in the mouth and protect you against the formation of biofilms. Friendly bacteria in your mouth can help prevent tartar, bad breath, and cavities. Grass-fed butter is one of the healthiest foods for teeth. It’s a potent source of vitamin K2, which pushes the calcium in your body into your bones. Butter also contains vitamin A, which strengthens your enamel, and butyrate, which supports the brain and colon. Guess Which Percent Of Chemicals in Your Food Are Self-Certified and Not FDA Approved?

Detoxify 1000s of Chemicals From Your Body Just With Food: ▶️ https://youtu.be/HN0yEn4vbRw 0:00 Introduction: What is GRAS? 0:25 The truth about GRAS 1:20 A deeper look at certain chemicals 5:50 Learn more about detoxification! Let’s talk about the term GRAS (generally recognized as safe). GRAS applies to chemicals that are in our environment and food. GRAS implies that the chemical is regulated and has been through a lot of safety studies. However, the FDA allows companies to self-certify their chemicals as safe. There are about 10,000 chemicals in our food supply, and 99% of them have not been reviewed for safety. GRAS is more of a loophole that companies use to imply that their chemicals are safe despite outside testing. Six chemicals that are generally recognized as safe: 1. Nitrates: • Help preserve meat • Increase shelf life • Increase the risk of cancer • Could be in your drinking water 2. BHA: • A preservative • An endocrine disruptor • A carcinogen 3. BHT: • A preservative • An endocrine disruptor • Toxic to the liver and kidneys • Increases cancer risk 4. Potassium bromide: • A dough conditioner used in many flour products • A carcinogen • Can inhibit iodine 5. Brominated vegetable oil: • A flavor stabilizer in beverages • A flame retardant • Can harm the nervous system and brain • Can affect your memory • Can interfere with iodine 6. Titanium dioxide • Gives candy a smooth texture and brightens colors • Can cause DNA damage • Increases cancer risk • A heavy metal Our bodies have the ability to get rid of a lot of these poisons if we don’t consume too many. However, some people have a problem with their detoxification genes. This means that they have a lessened ability to get rid of these poisons. The best thing to do is to try to avoid these chemicals and consume foods that support the detoxification process, like cruciferous vegetables. The #1 Most Dangerous Ingredient in the World
The most dangerous ingredient is not what you think! In this video, I’ll tell you how to avoid this dangerous ingredient because you won’t find it on a food label. Discover the connection between acrylamide and cancer and find out how to identify dangerous foods that contain acrylamide. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Acrylamide health effects 1:00 Acrylamide in food 3:18 Acrylamide foods to avoid 3:44 How to avoid acrylamide 5:35 Acrylamide in coffee 6:01 What is acrylamide? 7:27 Acrylamide and cancer DATA: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/abou... Today, we’re going to talk about a dangerous ingredient that’s worse than high-fructose corn syrup, sugar, starches, and seed oils! It’s a potent neurotoxin, damages reproductive organs, and is classified as a Class A carcinogen by the EPA. You won’t find this dangerous ingredient on a food label because it’s a byproduct, not an ingredient used to make the food. Acrylamide is created when you combine a specific protein with refined sugar such as glucose, dextrose, glucose syrup, or maltodextrin under high heat. Saturated fats prevent the formation of acrylamide. If junk foods were made with saturated fat like tallow, this could significantly reduce cancer risk. Here are some foods to avoid that contain acrylamide: •Corn chips •Potato chips •French fries •Baked goods •Crackers •Cookies •Cereal •Bread crust •Roasted coffee To avoid acrylamide, cook with tallow, coconut oil, or butter, and use natural sugar like honey or sugar cane. Slow cooking reduces the formation of acrylamide. Focus on consuming whole foods and avoid refined and processed foods. If you eat junk food, pair it with something to counter the effects of acrylamide. Cruciferous vegetables contain protective compounds that protect against acrylamide. Garlic, sprouts, sauerkraut, citrus, bell peppers, green tea, and spirulina also have protective effects. Organic dark-roasted or espresso coffee is heated to 400 degrees, destabilizing acrylamide. Light-roasted coffee has 10 times more acrylamide than dark-roasted coffee. When the amino acid asparagine combines with refined sugar and is heated over 285 degrees Fahrenheit, a Maillard reaction produces the byproduct acrylamide. Acrylamide creates another byproduct called glycinamide, which is more deadly than acrylamide! Cancer is the second leading cause of death, and acrylamide may dramatically increase cancer risk. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

ChatGPT is BS (Dr. Berg Proves It)
Watch as Dr. Berg challenges ChatGPT’s health tips, testing its credibility. You may think twice about trusting ChatGPT’s health tips after this ChatGPT vs. Dr. Berg face-off! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: AI vs. health guru 0:40 ChatGPT vs. Dr. Berg on weight loss 1:16 ChatGPT vs. Dr. Berg on diet tips 4:15 ChatGPT vs. Dr. Berg keto 5:14 ChatGPT health tips for cholesterol 6:18 ChatGPT vs. Dr. Berg nutrition and seed oils 7:07 ChatGPT vs. Dr Berg on diet for diabetes 8:37 ChatGPT on red meat 10:40 ChatGPT vs. Dr. Berg on diet for chronic disease To lower cholesterol, ChatGPT claims you should lower dietary cholesterol, increase unsaturated fats, and replace animal proteins with plant proteins. Plants do not have complete protein, and if you reduce your dietary cholesterol, you could end up low in bile and vitamin D. Cholesterol is a vital component of your cell membranes, hormones, and brain. ChatGPT falsely claims that seed oils are not “that bad” when used in moderation. Balance and moderation allow you to continue eating bad food without worrying about the consequences. If you have a chronic disease, you can not simply “balance” your diet. If you have diabetes, you do not want to spike insulin with carbohydrates. ChatGPT recommends legumes and grains for people with diabetes and small, frequent meals. This advice would continue to spike insulin, and would not help reverse diabetes! A fibroid is a growth on the uterus that is not cancerous. Research has shown that vitamin D may help shrink the size of fibroids. If you’re vitamin D deficient, your risk of developing uterine fibroids is much higher. Vitamin D naturally inhibits the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgens to estrogen. Vitamin D can also affect the fibroid itself. If you have enough vitamin D, certain tumor and cancer cells will commit suicide. Dr. Bruce Hollis has done extensive research on the benefits of vitamin D but says a lot of research on vitamin D has been rejected by top medical journals! Around 50,000 IUs of vitamin D daily may help shrink fibroids in the uterus. You’ll also need to take the following vitamin D cofactors: •500 mcg vitamin K2 •800 mg magnesium •50 mg zinc •Vitamin B6 and boron (recommended dose on the bottle) More tips to help shrink fibroids naturally: • Get on the ketogenic diet • Increase your consumption of cruciferous vegetables • Limit dairy consumption Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. DON'T EAT THESE IF YOU'RE OVER 50!!!
Find out about the worst foods for aging adults that can put your health at risk. Avoid these diet mistakes after 50 for health and longevity! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Foods to avoid after 50 0:53 Forever chemicals in the water supply 1:22 Zinc-depleting foods and aging 3:33 Seed oils 4:15 Soy protein and refined soy products 5:21 Low-fat foods and aging 5:56 More healthy aging tips Our bodies become more vulnerable as we age, so what we eat and drink is vital to our health. Here are the foods to avoid after 50! 1. Unfiltered water I noticed that my tap water is high in a chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid. The amount of this chemical in my water supply exceeds the acceptable level by 98,650%! This increases my risk for cancer, liver problems, and kidney problems. Most of the water supply contains forever chemicals that don't break down and accumulate in the brain. Find a good water filter that filters out forever chemicals! 2. Foods that deplete zinc Zinc supports testosterone, which significantly decreases in both men and women with aging. Testosterone is essential for muscle mass and supports thymus function. Zinc is also involved in making hydrochloric acid. Refined carbohydrates and starches deplete zinc. 3. Seed oils Seed oils can become stored in the membranes of cells, including the cells in your brain. Instead, use butter, tallow, lard, or olive oil for cooking. 4. Refined soy products Soy protein isolates are used in many products, such as protein bars that are marketed as healthy. You do not want to consume refined, unnatural protein like soy protein isolate. 5. Low-fat foods Vitamin K2 is vital as you age, and it’s only found in fatty foods. If you follow a low-fat diet, you’re depriving yourself of an essential nutrient that can keep your bones and joints healthy. Magnesium supports good quality deep sleep, which is crucial as we age. Taking a magnesium glycinate supplement before bed is one of the best ways to increase your magnesium intake and improve sleep. Instead of focusing on salt restriction, focus on increasing potassium and incorporating high-quality sea salt into your diet. #1 Best Remedy for POOR Eyesight (Especially Over 50!)
Around 1 in 4 people over 65 have cataracts, and by 80, that figure jumps to 1 in 2. Many people go blind because of this! Find out how to help prevent cataracts naturally with an effective natural remedy. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Cataracts explained 0:17 What causes cataracts? 1:34 The best remedy for cataracts 3:44 NAC for cataracts and eye health 5:04 How to use NAC for cataracts 5:55 Cataract risk factors NAC Product Link: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/43jGdCW BOOK LINK: https://www.amazon.com/Cataract-Cure-... DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12001...https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26084... All it takes is a small amount of oxidative stress to the eye's lens to develop a cataract. A healthy lens is composed of an organized protein called crystallin. When this tissue becomes damaged, it is not replaced. Glycation can damage the lens of the eye. It results from sugar connecting to a protein and then becoming stuck and unusable to the body. Steroids like Prednisone can also increase the risk of cataracts. Not all surgeries can eliminate cataracts, and they can come with complications. According to “The Cataract Cure” by Dr. Marios Kyriazis, there is a safe, effective remedy for cataracts. Carnosine is a unique compound that can penetrate the lens of the eye and help with cataracts. Carnosine is a potent antioxidant that can dissolve damaged proteins. It can also activate your own antioxidants. NAC (n-acetyl carnosine) eye drops are one of the best remedies for cataracts. In an experiment conducted at the Moscow Helmholtz Research Institute of Eye Diseases, scientists used NAC eyedrops at 1% concentration on rabbits. They found that NAC could reach the inner parts of the eye within 15 to 30 minutes. No side effects were reported during this experiment. The author concluded that NAC is a proposed eye treatment for eye disorders, including cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disorders, inflammation, and complications from diabetes. The same group of scientists who performed the rabbit studies also tested NAC on humans. They selected 49 volunteers with an average age of 65 who had established age-related cataracts. After 6 months, researchers found that: •41% of people presented a significant reduction of clouding in the lens •90% showed a gradual improvement in vision •89% showed up to a 100% improvement in sensitivity to glare NAC for cataracts must be used for at least 3 to 5 months. Antioxidants such as those found in onions, egg yolks, leafy greens, and grass-fed red meat can protect you against cataracts. Vitamin A is vital for eye health and can be found in cod liver oil and grass-fed liver. B vitamins, especially B2, B6, and folate, are also essential. Find out why gallbladder removal isn’t the only solution! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Do not get your gallbladder removed! 0:15 Gallbladder surgery 0:53 Gallbladder function 3:12 Gallbladder stones 3:56 Gallbladder removal lies 6:25 Problems from gallbladder removal 8:30 What causes gallstones? 10:58 How to increase bile and prevent gallbladder stones DATA: https://lifewithnogallbladder.org/https://surgeonadamharris.com/underst... The gallbladder is a small sac that sits below the liver with the following important functions: •Bile storage and concentration •Regulation of bile release •Cholesterol regulation •Antimicrobial functions •Hunger and blood sugar control •Detox support •Helps trigger the antioxidant glutathione Bile is vital for the breakdown of fats, so you can absorb fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D, K1, K2, and omega-3 fatty acids. Bile can also help thyroid hormones work more efficiently. Gallbladder removal surgery is often the result of gallbladder stones. Gallstones come from a lack of bile. People are often told the following lies and convinced into gallbladder removal surgery: •There are no other options. •A diseased gallbladder causes gallstones. •You can’t prevent gallstones with diet. •Gallbladder removal does not cause complications. •Post-cholecystectomy is controversial. •Gallstones that result from pregnancy require gallbladder removal surgery. Gallstones can be caused by high levels of estrogen, being overweight, and diabetes, but one of the biggest gallbladder stone causes is high insulin! Insulin resistance resulting from chronically high insulin levels can prevent the liver from producing adequate bile and weaken the gallbladder. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting are the best solutions for gallbladder stones. Your microbes also produce bile, so anything that destroys them can affect bile. Antibiotics and low-fat, low-cholesterol diets increase the risk for gallstones. Fatty fish has the most potent effect on bile production. You can also increase bile with cholesterol foods such as butter, eggs, shellfish, seafood, and liver. Egg yolks and liver are high in choline, a key nutrient vital for bile production. Bitter greens, arugula, radish, celery, and sauerkraut can help make additional bile salts. Citrus, betaine hydrochloride, and ACV can increase acidity to trigger the release of bile. Herbs like turmeric, ginger, milk thistle, parsley, and cilantro are also beneficial. Chronic stress increases cortisol, which suppresses bile. Let’s talk about fake meats—like meatless burgers, for example, and why they’re bad for your health. As people are testing out alternative animal products like fake meat, cheese, and eggs, their health will suffer because the ingredients are not actually healthy. Plant-based, fake animal products are not sustainable for your health or the environment. On the other hand, 100% grass-fed beef is a very healthy food and is great for the environment. Cows that live on the land and eat grass are fantastic for creating fertile soil. Cow manure is the ultimate fertilizer because it adds essential factors back into the soil, including microbes. The concentration of microbes in the soil is what makes plants and animal products nutrient-dense. To maintain a healthy body, we need nutrient-dense foods. However, many ingredients used in plant-based meats, cheeses, and other products are GMO and inhibit microbial growth. The only way to get nutrient-dense foods is to consume food grown on nutrient-dense soil. The BIG Zinc Mistake
Taking too much zinc or too little can lead to unwanted side effects. Discover 4 common zinc mistakes people make that can interfere with its effectiveness. Avoid zinc dosage mistakes when taking supplements to maximize the amazing health benefits of zinc! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: 4 common zinc mistakes people make when taking supplements 0:20 Taking too much zinc 1:49 Not taking cofactors with zinc supplements 3:20 Not knowing when to take zinc 3:55 Foods high in zinc and trace minerals 4:19 Taking not enough zinc 6:10 Zinc sources and zinc supplements Did you know that without enough zinc, you will die? Over 200 to 300 different enzymes in your body require zinc! Avoid these 4 big zinc supplement mistakes! 1. Taking too much zinc Zinc and copper work together and compete for absorption. Always take copper with zinc to avoid a copper deficiency. Some parts of the immune system benefit from high doses of zinc, while others thrive with just the right amount of zinc. Taking 100 to 200 mg of zinc for 3 days is beneficial if you have an inflammatory infection, but high doses of zinc for extended periods can also be damaging. Know when to take zinc and avoid high doses for long periods. 2. No cofactors taken with zinc Cofactors are vitamins and minerals that work together to allow our biochemistry to work. For zinc to function properly in the body, you need adequate magnesium, vitamin B6, and folate. 3. Not knowing when you’re deficient White nail spots can sometimes indicate a zinc deficiency, but how can you know for sure if you’re deficient? Try the zinc test! Take a small amount of zinc in your mouth and swish it around. If you can taste the metallic taste, you are not deficient. If you can’t taste anything, you need more zinc. 4. Taking too little zinc Taking too little zinc is just as bad as taking too much! Carbohydrates contain phytic acid, which blocks zinc. This is why zinc deficiency is so common in children. Diarrhea can deplete zinc and other minerals, and low stomach acid can inhibit mineral absorption. Alcohol, pregnancy, and high estrogen from birth control pills can also increase your demand for zinc. Red meat, shellfish, liver, and oysters are the best sources of zinc. If you opt for supplements, you must take at least 30 mg of zinc daily for a therapeutic effect. Zinc works best when taken with food, but it still works on an empty stomach. This Was DESTROYING My Life
Insomnia is torture! In this video, I’ll share several sleep tips to address the real reason why you’re waking up at night. Find out how to sleep better at night and eliminate sleep problems for good. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How can I sleep better at night? 0:57 Magnesium for better sleep 2:11 Low blood sugar and sleep problems 2:50 Tips to sleep better at night 3:46 Salt and sleep 4:39 Increasing melatonin to sleep better at night 5:22 Liver health and insomnia Cortisol should be at its lowest point at 2 a.m., but for some, it’s at its highest! This can cause night waking and other sleep problems that can really interfere with your day. Sleep medication can worsen this problem by causing your cortisol to rise even more. Magnesium glycinate before bed can help lower cortisol, which can help you sleep better at night. Twitching and cramping can signify a magnesium deficiency. Low blood sugar can increase cortisol and cause you to wake up at night. If your diet is high in carbs, your blood sugar may decrease while sleeping, and your body will increase cortisol levels to normalize your blood sugar. If you’re waking up at 2 a.m., evaluate what you ate the day before. Refined starches, MSG, alcohol, snacking, and eating late can disturb sleep. Salt cravings can signify a sodium deficiency. Sodium helps lower cortisol, so add more sea salt to your meals throughout the day if you’re having salt cravings. Here are a few other sleep tips that can help you sleep better at night: •Avoid suspense and action movies before bed •Avoid blue light before bed •Get plenty of sunlight during the day •Go for long walks •Exercise to release excess energy The liver detoxifies the body between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Night waking during this time frame could signify a problem with the liver. Milk thistle before bed can help. Restless legs syndrome can be related to a B1 or magnesium deficiency. Lower your carb intake and increase your consumption of these nutrients. A high pulse rate could signify a potassium deficiency, which can also interfere with sleep. Apple cider vinegar before bed can help stabilize blood sugar for better sleep, but make sure it’s diluted. How to Remove Skin Tags and Warts Overnight
I’m going to show you how to get rid of skin tags overnight. This will not only get rid of skin tags and warts, but it will also prevent them from coming back! Discover the best home remedy for skin tags that makes skin tag removal at home a breeze. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Wart or skin tag removal at home 0:20 Differences between skin tags and warts 0:52 Insulin and skin tags 2:49 Lowering insulin to prevent skin tags 3:13 Warts and vitamin D 5:13 How to get rid of skin tags and warts Today, I’m going to share two effective home remedies for skin tags and warts. A wart is caused by the HPV virus, while skin tags usually occur in areas of friction. High insulin can increase one's susceptibility to skin tags. People with diabetes, overweight people, and women with PCOS are at a higher risk of developing them. When you produce too much insulin over a period of time, you can develop insulin resistance. Too much insulin is caused by eating too many carbs or frequent eating. Insulin resistance makes it difficult to absorb glucose. Over time, this deprives your brain cells of fuel, leading to memory problems, concentration problems, and early dementia. The solution is to give your body an alternative fuel source, such as ketones, fatty acids, and protein. To do this, lower your carbs and do intermittent fasting. This will lower insulin and prevent growths like skin tags and warts. A virus that comes out of remission can create warts if your immune system is compromised. Sufficient vitamin D can support the immune system and put these viruses back in remission. Take 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily, especially in winter. Povidone iodine is an excellent remedy for skin tags. It has potent antiviral and antimicrobial properties, so it’s also good for warts. Iodine dissolves the protein in the skin tag and acts as a dehydrator. Garlic contains allicin, a powerful antiviral compound effective against warts. Because it’s often difficult to differentiate between warts and skin tags, add garlic to ensure your remedy is effective. Crush one clove of garlic and combine one drop of garlic with one drop of iodine. Apply the mixture to your wart or skin tag and cover it with a band-aid. Repeat this every day until your skin tag or wart is gone. Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. Reducing insulin can potentially help: • Decrease inflammation • Improve diabetes • Improve insulin resistance • Decrease fat in the liver • Decrease your risk for obesity • Improve metabolic syndrome • Support the autonomic nervous system Fasting is fantastic for many other hormones as well, including: 1. Leptin 2. Thyroid stimulating hormone 3. Androgens 4. Estrogen 5. Testosterone 6. Cortisol 7. Growth hormone 8. Prolactin Fasting can help support your circadian rhythms. Breakfast is a Lie
What you eat for breakfast affects how you feel for the rest of the day. Discover the best breakfast foods that boost morning energy and improve cognitive function throughout the day. Find out how a healthy morning breakfast can significantly change your overall well-being. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How breakfast affects your day 1:22 The problem with carbs for breakfast 1:30 Collagen Peptides 4:09 Protein for a healthy breakfast 4:30 Eggs for breakfast 4:53 What to eat for breakfast 7:48 The importance of sleep Fix your gut health with this free guide: • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe What you eat for breakfast affects your ability to focus, your creative ability to solve problems, and how well you sleep at night. A carb-heavy breakfast promotes insulin resistance, which inhibits your ability to absorb fuel. The first place you’ll notice this is in your brain. Ketones are a much better fuel for your brain than sugar. To make ketones, you need to lower your carbs and sugar. You can also produce ketones by fasting. While fasting, your body must convert to making ketones for energy. Carbohydrate breakfast foods leave you hungry within an hour-and-a-half of eating. Sugary cereal is a poor choice for breakfast. Magic Spoon or keto-friendly granola without added sugar is a better option. Oatmeal is generally one of the most ultra-processed foods. If you want to eat oatmeal for breakfast, look for regular oatmeal without sugar. The best option for oatmeal is steel-cut oats, although they take longer to cook. Oatmeal and wheat are heavily sprayed with glyphosate, which has been shown to cause cancer and problems with your gut. Choose organic to avoid this problem. Replacing your breakfast food with protein such as meat, bacon, and eggs can significantly change your energy levels and cognitive function. Eggs and bacon are the perfect healthy morning breakfast. You can also add avocado or cheese. Cheese is very nutritious, a good source of protein, and has good bacteria due to the fermentation process. Yogurt is a great breakfast option. Choose organic Greek or Bulgarian yogurt without added sugar, or make your own yogurt. Instead of giving your kids Wonder bread, try a sprouted bread like Ezekiel bread. Add peanut butter for extra protein. Red meat and pork sausage are also great breakfast foods. It’s important to prioritize sleep! Losing just one hour of sleep can significantly affect your blood sugar and cognitive state. Why Your Vitamins Are Not Working
Does it seem like your vitamins aren't working? In this video, I’ll tell you how to increase vitamin absorption in the body. Find out how to take vitamins correctly to increase vitamin effectiveness. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Do I need to take vitamins? 0:36 Low stomach acid and vitamin absorption 1:35 The best vitamins for absorption 2:43 Fillers in vitamins and supplements 3:16 Vitamin effectiveness and diet 4:00 Multivitamins 4:29 Vitamin D3 5:36 Vitamins and chronic illness 6:34 Increasing dose to increase vitamin effectiveness You may be wondering, do I need to take vitamins? Your body needs around 180 nutrients, and it’s often difficult to satisfy these requirements, especially for vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin B3. You can not always identify nutrient deficiencies in the blood. Low stomach acid interferes with vitamin and mineral absorption. If you have low stomach acid, you might also experience problems breaking down food with vitamin B12. Indigestion, heartburn, and SIBO are common symptoms of low stomach acid. Synthetic vitamins aren't the same as natural ones. Do not take synthetic vitamin B12 or B9! Some nutrients need other nutrients to function properly, so taking them in isolated forms rather than a complex can cause problems. Many vitamins contain fillers like maltodextrin that compete for nutrients such as vitamin C. Vitamin B1 is essential for breaking down sugar and carbs, so when you consume maltodextrin, it’s easy to become deficient. Poor diet could be a reason why vitamins aren’t working for you. If you’re diabetic, prediabetic, or have insulin resistance, vitamin absorption will be greatly inhibited. Fix this by going on a low-carb diet. Poor-quality supplements often contain calcium carbonate, which is limestone! Multivitamins with calcium and magnesium are poorly absorbed because these two minerals compete for absorption. Vitamin effectiveness is greatly influenced by dosage. The RDA for vitamin D3 is only 600 IU, but you need around 10,000 IU daily. If you have a chronic illness, you need therapeutic doses of vitamins, not small amounts. Always pay attention to the milligram dosage when choosing a supplement! Taking too little of a supplement significantly reduces vitamin absorption and effectiveness. Never take iron supplements! Iron is the most toxic mineral that you can consume. In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the dangerous side effects of iron supplements. Find out why iron deficiency anemia may not be related to iron deficiency at all. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Why you shouldn’t take iron supplements 0:10 The dangers of iron supplements 0:34 Side effects of too much iron 1:13 Iron toxicity 1:23 What causes too much iron? 1:37 Side effects of iron supplements 3:53 Hidden iron 4:22 Iron and copper 5:40 Copper deficiency 6:36 Iron deficiency anemia explained Too much iron over time can cause iron accumulation in your organs and tissues. Some people have a genetic problem that makes it difficult to eliminate iron if it accumulates too much. Potential side effects of too much iron include the following: 1. Cancer 2. Liver disease 3. Heart disease 4. Low testosterone 5. Low libido 6. Diabetes 7. Chronic fatigue syndrome 8. Infertility 9. Neurodegeneration 10. Inflammatory diseases Iron deficiency is one of the most common mineral deficiencies, but iron can also be dangerous if you’re getting too much. Iron toxicity is one of the most underdiagnosed and overlooked conditions. When you take iron supplements, you don't absorb very much. The excess iron accumulates in the digestive tract, causing constipation, nausea, diarrhea, bloating, and irritation of the colon. The type of iron in iron supplements feeds pathogens. Red meat is a better source of iron. Heme iron from red meat and fish is absorbed much more easily. It goes straight into the bloodstream. Red meat also has other nutrients like B vitamins, zinc, and selenium. High-quality protein also helps to balance iron. Many processed foods contain added iron in the forms of ferrous fumarate, ferrous sulfate, and ferrous gluconate. The most common sources of iron are supplements, fortification, and cooking with cast iron cookware. Liver damage will also cause you to accumulate iron. A lack of copper is a common cause of dysfunctional iron because copper helps control iron in the body. Many enzymes dependent on copper relate directly to the control of iron. The first enzyme involved with copper converts iron into a less accumulative and less toxic form. Copper also allows you to transport iron through the body. Copper is involved in a powerful antioxidant that reduces oxidation caused by iron! Glyphosate, antibiotics, high fructose corn syrup, and wheat products can cause copper deficiency. Iron deficiency anemia may really be iron dysfunctional anemia, which is often related to a copper deficiency. Oysters, shellfish, and organ meats are the best food sources of copper. The current medical model of cancer says that it's a spontaneous mutation of your DNA, and the solution is to kill cancer cells with chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. The metabolic viewpoint on cancer says cancer starts with mitochondrial damage that leads to a mutation later on. A cancer cell is a cell that has lost proper mitochondrial function. The #1 BEST Meal to Reverse Heart Disease & Type 2 Diabetes
Is there a perfect meal to reverse metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease? In this video, I’ll share the best foods for diabetes and heart health that can also help with chronic kidney disease prevention. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: The best meal for type 2 diabetes, heart, and kidney disease 3:02 What causes diabetes and other metabolic diseases 3:50 Insulin resistance 5:12 Hidden sugar 9:08 What is the best meal to reverse chronic disease? 19:18 How to prevent kidney disease, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes, Metabolic disease is caused by a problem at the cellular level. Your cells can no longer get energy, even with an abundance of fuel. People with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease represent 25% of our population! According to research from Harvard, 93% of US adults have at least one abnormal risk factor, such as high blood sugar, high blood pressure, high blood lipids, visceral fat, inflammation, fatty liver, sleep apnea, or being overweight. Mitochondrial dysfunction is at the root of the problem. On average, people consume 31 teaspoons of sugar per day! Sugar isn't the only problem. Industrial food starches such as modified food starch, modified corn starch, and maltodextrin spike blood sugar more than sugar. The average American consumes 56 teaspoons of starch per day! Insulin removes sugar from your blood and stores it as belly fat, liver fat, or high triglycerides. During this process, the mitochondria are damaged. This could go on for years before blood sugar problems begin. A fasting insulin test would be the only way to detect the problem, but these are not routine. To reverse chronic disease, you must eliminate refined carbohydrates and eat less frequently! Here are the best foods for diabetes and heart health: •Salad: Arugula, ACV, extra virgin olive oil, pumpkin seeds, nutritional yeast, sunflower seeds, avocado •Protein/fat: Grass-fed, grass-finished hamburger with no bun •Dessert: L. Reuteri yogurt with sugar-free dark chocolate and/or cinnamon For your best health, practice the following healthy habits: •Follow a low-carb diet •Intermittent fasting •Get plenty of sunlight •Go on a post-meal walk •Avoid ultra-processed foods Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. The #1 Worst Protein in the World!
This toxic protein is one of the worst foods for your body. Find out about the worst protein in the world that’s often marketed as healthy, despite being one of the most dangerous protein sources. This is the protein you should never eat! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Protein you should never eat 0:49 The worst protein for your health 3:37 Ultra-processed proteins 8:17 The worst protein in the world 8:55 Toxic proteins to avoid The EAT-Lancet planetary health diet aims for a plant-based world where red meat is replaced with plant-based protein. Surprisingly, the one protein you should never eat is plant-based! So what’s the worst protein in the world? Here are 11 facts about one of the most dangerous protein sources: 1. The industrial extraction of defatted soy flour involves fat removal from soy flour using hexane, a component of gasoline. This ingredient is considered GRAS, or generally recognized as safe. This is a legal loophole that allows a company to classify its own product as safe. 2. This ultra-processed protein is a byproduct of the soybean oil industry. 3. It contains heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, and lead. 4. It’s thermo-mechanically restructured, which means high temperatures and machinery are used to restructure the product so that it mimics the texture of meat. 5. This product makes around $1.39 billion per year. 6. It’s marketed as healthy and has been around since the 1960s. 7. It contains sodium hydroxide, which changes the pH, chemically altering the protein. 8. It contains hydrogen peroxide and titanium dioxide used as bleaching agents. 9. It’s composed of sponge-like chunks of artificial meat that’s rehydrated with additional seed oil. 10. Artificial flavor and color are added to mimic the taste and appearance of meat. 11. The protein is dried at around 347 degrees Fahrenheit, so by the time you cook it, it’s been heated twice. The estrogenic effect of soy is not destroyed by heat! The protein I'm referring to is textured vegetable protein, made from the “vegetable” known as soy. This highly refined, ultra-processed protein contains heavy metals and is GMO, so it may contain traces of glyphosate. The REAL Reason Why Your Arteries are Calcifying and Turning into Bone

Today we’re going to talk about the top cause of artery calcification. The body becomes more calcified with age. But, our goal is to keep the bones calcified and the other tissues from becoming calcified. A CAC test is a great way to determine if you have calcium in your arteries. There are two types of cells in your bones. Osteoblasts are cells that build bone, and osteoclasts break down bones. If there are too many osteoblasts in your arteries, the arteries can start turning to bone. There are stem cells in the inner tissue of the arteries that have the potential to turn into a certain type of cell, depending on what the body needs. If someone is developing bone tissue in their arteries, there is a problem with the differentiation of these stem cells—they’re turning into the wrong thing. Sufficient amounts of vitamin K2 may help inhibit calcification. Vitamin K2 helps keep calcium out of the arteries and in the bones, making the bones strong. Your good bacteria make vitamin K2. Causes of a vitamin K2 deficiency: • A fatty liver • Gallbladder issues • Gut problems • Not consuming enough fermented foods • A low-fat diet Foods rich in vitamin K2: • Natto • Sauerkraut • Cheese • Butter • Kefir • Egg yolk • Liver • Sausage If you take vitamin K2 as a supplement, consider taking the natural form called MK7 and take it with vitamin D. Do NOT Make These Gut Mistakes (They’re Ruining Your Health)
Avoid these mistakes for a healthy gut! These 8 common gut health mistakes could be destroying your digestive health. Discover the habits and foods that ruin gut health, along with my expert gut health tips to improve your digestion and overall health today. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 00:00 Introduction: 8 bad habits that destroy gut health 0:23 Fiber for gut health 1:29 Gut health tips and the best gut health foods 7:54 Antibiotics and the gut microbiome 13:00 Foods that ruin gut health 1. Trying to improve gut health with fiber Increasing fiber is one of the worst things you can do for your gut, yet it’s commonly recommended. If your gut is damaged, fiber can exacerbate the issue, contributing to gas and inflammation. If you have gut inflammation, the carnivore diet can help! The carnivore diet helps increase glutamine, an amino acid that promotes gut healing. Zinc carnosine and butyrate, found in butter, are excellent for a healthy gut. Intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting are crucial for maintaining digestive health. Approximately 40% of the population has SIBO. L. Reuteri can help reduce SIBO and has many other amazing benefits. It increases oxytocin, lowers stres, and even increases social capacity. Ensure you have strong stomach acid for healthy digestion and protection from microbes. 2. Commercial probiotics and yogurt The amount of probiotics in these products is so low that it won’t make a difference in gut health. Many commercial yogurts are low-fat and contain added sugar and starch. 3. Colon cleansing This eliminates beneficial gut bacteria, which can ultimately lead to constipation and other health issues. Avoid detoxing and focus on a healthy diet. 4. Antibiotics Your gut microbiome does not fully recover after taking antibiotics. Bacteria that survive antibiotics can become antibiotic-resistant superbugs! If you have to take antibiotics take a good probiotic simultaneously. 5. Antacids Acid reflux is a valve problem caused by low stomach acid. Weakening your stomach acid worsens the problem. Strong stomach acid is vital for digestion, protection against pathogens, and mineral absorption. 6. Low-fat diets Low-fat diets are bad for digestion because fat stimulates the gallbladder to release bile. Low bile leads to constipation and the inability to kill off microbes in the small intestine. 7. Balanced diet Everything in moderation is the worst advice! Lowering carbs from 45% to 65% of your calories to 10% can significantly improve digestion. 8. Superfood shakes Superfood shakes and smoothies with kale, spinach, and fruit can overload the small intestine with fiber. Red meat is the best superfood! The #1 Breakfast Mistake That Almost Killed Me
This #1 worst breakfast mistake nearly killed me! Ditch the unhealthy breakfast foods and dangerous breakfast habits that spike your blood sugar, leaving you hungry and tired in the morning. Find out what NOT to eat for breakfast! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The biggest breakfast mistakes 0:12 Coffee at breakfast 0:57 High sugar breakfast dangers 1:38 Breakfast foods that spike blood sugar 1:57 Why you feel tired after breakfast 2:49 Healthy breakfast tips 3:24 Is fruit a healthy breakfast? 4:42 Hidden sugars in breakfast foods 5:24 The #1 worst breakfast mistake Today, we’ll discuss how to break bad breakfast habits with 9 healthy breakfast tips! 1. Some people drink too much coffee in the morning, but that's not always the problem. Coffee beans are one of the most sprayed crops behind cotton and tobacco. Adding sugar and non-dairy creamer with seed oils worsens the problem. The simple solution is to always choose organic coffee. 2. Most orange juice is pasteurized, which destroys the vitamin C. If you’re drinking orange juice for breakfast, it’s likely that you’re just drinking sugar water. 3. Carb-heavy breakfast foods significantly spike blood sugar. Your body produces insulin to lower the spike, causing low blood sugar, leaving you feeling tired after breakfast. Switch to a protein breakfast! Opt for eggs, bacon, cheese, whole-fat yogurt without sugar, steak, or burger patties rather than the typical muffins, pancakes, cereals, etc. 4. Consuming fruit and nuts for breakfast will likely leave you feeling hungry midmorning. This leads to snacking, which raises blood glucose and spikes insulin throughout the day. 5. Peanut butter is often consumed for breakfast, but many contain sugar and hydrogenated oils. Always check the label! 6. Avoid cooking with seed oils for breakfast. Opt for healthy cooking oils such as butter, olive oil, coconut oil, or lard. 7. Check the labels on your breakfast meats. There are many hidden sugars in breakfast foods, especially breakfast meats! 8. I used to recommend drinking kale shakes with fruit for breakfast, but this is a mistake. A healthy breakfast should always contain high-quality protein. 9. Eating when you’re not hungry is the #1 worst breakfast mistake! We’re often taught that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but this isn’t true. You’re fasting while you sleep, so most people aren’t hungry when they wake up. Try pushing your first meal to lunchtime to increase the duration of your fast. This can help you tap into fat-burning, boost weight loss, reverse insulin resistance, improve mood, and decrease appetite.
