How to Get Thick and Shiny Hair

If you want thick, shiny hair, this video’s for you. Find out how to get thicker hair with the best vitamins for hair health. Incorporate the best foods for hair growth into your diet today for shiny, lustrous locks. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to get thick and shiny hair 0:20 Biotin deficiency and hair health 2:07 How to make hair shiny with vitamin A 2:30 How to get thicker hair with omega-3 fatty acids 3:10 L. reuteri for healthy hair 3:47 Copper deficiency and hair health 6:44 Foods for hair growth Magnesium Videos: ▶️ • The BEST and WORST Forms of Magnesium ▶️ • The Unique Benefits of Magnesium Glycinate... How to Fix Your Gut: ▶️ • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe Soil, Grass and Cancer: https://www.amazon.com/Soil-Grass-Can... Today, I’m going to tell you how to get thick and shiny hair naturally! Biotin is a B vitamin that many people take for thick, shiny hair. It can come from the diet, but it can also come from the gut microbiome. The good bacteria in your gut make biotin. This is why a common side effect of antibiotics is hair problems. When you stop taking biotin, you may notice that the problem comes right back, so it’s vital to address gut health when dealing with biotin deficiency. Liver and egg yolks are the best sources of biotin. Nutritional yeast and salmon also contain biotin. Alcohol, raw eggs, and magnesium deficiency can interfere with biotin absorption. Zinc and copper are essential for biotin absorption and function. Retinol, the active form of vitamin A, is only found in animal foods. Liver and egg yolks are the best sources, but you can also find vitamin A in shellfish and cod liver oil. Vitamin A helps control sebum, so it’s very beneficial for thick, shiny hair! For healthy hair, reduce your omega-6 fat intake and increase your omega-3s. Omega-3 fatty acids are vital for healthy hair. Fish oil and cod liver oil are excellent sources of omega-3s. L. reuteri is a microbe missing in 96% of the population. It increases sebum, which makes hair shiny, and it may also increase hair growth. Copper is used in many different enzymes, including the enzyme that helps prevent iron accumulation in your tissues. Iron is vital for hair growth, but we need the right balance. NPK fertilizer in our foods is a common cause of copper deficiency. If the grass is deficient in copper, the animals that eat the grass will also be deficient. Animals with copper deficiency have very dull hair. If this can happen to sheep and cows, it can definitely happen to us! Overconsumption of iron, often from fortified wheat products, can lock up your copper and contribute to copper deficiency. Other contributors to copper deficiency include high fructose corn syrup and high zinc intake. If you want healthy hair, add the following foods to your diet: •Fermented foods (i.e. kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi) •Liver •Egg yolks •Cod liver oil/cod liver •Organic foods •Trace minerals --- Learn more about your ad choices. The Benefit of Apple Cider Vinegar That NO ONE KNOWS

I’ve done many videos on the amazing health benefits of apple cider vinegar, but I’ve never mentioned this. Many people use apple cider vinegar for immunity, digestion, and weight loss, but there’s more! Discover some fascinating ACV benefits you’ve probably never heard of. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Apple cider vinegar benefits 0:29 Understanding microbes 1:58 Apple cider vinegar for gut microbes 3:35 The benefits of microbes 5:16 What wakes the bad bacteria? 6:40 How to use apple cider vinegar Recommended Apple Cider Vinegar: https://www.fairchildsvinegar.com/ Most people are familiar with the more popular benefits of apple cider vinegar, including the following: •Supports digestion •Decreases bloating •Improves indigestion and acid reflux •Supports healthy blood sugar levels •Helps make insulin more sensitive •Decreases a fatty liver •Decreases inflammation Both good bacteria and bad bacteria can go into a dormant state. Microbes in a dormant state are protected from many environmental stresses and chemicals, especially antibiotics. Dormant microbes can survive for decades or even thousands of years! A change in environment, like a change in pH, can wake good bacteria or cause them to go dormant. Most good bacteria thrive in an acidic environment. Apple cider vinegar acidifies the environment for good microbes. Things like kombucha, pickle juice, sauerkraut, and kimchi have similar effects. Certain microbes create butyrate, which helps with insulin resistance. These microbes thrive in an acidic environment. We have a synergistic relationship with the microbes in our gut. We provide a home, and they provide immune protection, help with digestion, vitamin production, and more. By making their environment more acidic, you help activate them. H. pylori releases ammonia, which alkalizes the stomach acid. This allows it to do its damage, causing ulcers in the stomach and small intestine. C. diff, E. coli, and salmonella go into a state of dormancy when the pH drops below 6. When your immune system is suppressed, bad bacteria can come out of dormancy. Antibiotics, stress, Prednisone, and vitamin D deficiency can all suppress the immune system and activate pathogenic microbes. Adequate vitamin D in amounts of at least 10,000 IU daily may help keep pathogenic microbes in remission. Try drinking 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water every evening with a straw to support your beneficial microbes. Fairchild’s Apple Cider Vinegar is an excellent option. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today we’re going to talk about what causes kidney stones. It’s odd that kidney stones even form in the first place, but calcification can occur in many parts of the body. 97.2% of the people with kidney stones in a certain study also had tiny bacteria (nanobacteria) in the kidney stones. These nanobacteria eat calcium and form bone-like crystal structures—a type of calcium that’s in bone. They’ve also found nanobacteria in calcium deposits in other parts of the body. The problem is that the immune system has a difficult time detecting nanobacteria because they protect themselves with biofilms. But, the immune system will detect a problem and will trigger an immune response. An immune response can create a lot of inflammation, leading to complications. Before using any natural remedies to break up biofilms, take TUDCA and have activated charcoal on hand. How to help prevent kidney stones: 1. Drink 2.5 liters of fluid per day 2. Take calcium citrate and consume lemons 3. Take potassium citrate 4. Take garlic 5. Get on Healthy Keto® and do intermittent fasting 6. Onion Juice for Extreme Hair Growth: Stop Hair Loss

Did you know you can use onion juice for hair growth, especially if you’re struggling with hair loss? Find out how to stop hair loss naturally with onion juice! Don’t worry, this home remedy for hair loss works without leaving you smelling like an onion! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Onion juice for hair loss 0:30 Onion juice health benefits 1:32 How to use onion juice for hair growth 2:48 Superfoods for hair 4:15 How to ferment onion juice for hair 5:50 Hair regrowth tips Onion juice is a natural hair loss remedy for many different types of hair loss. Whether autoimmune, nutritional, or fungal, onion juice can help stop hair loss naturally and stimulate natural hair growth quickly. Onions are loaded with sulfur, an essential building block for keratin, the protein that builds your hair. Onions have a high amount of quercetin, which is beneficial for autoimmune hair loss cases caused by alopecia. Quercetin helps increase the growth hormones of the hair follicle. It’s also a powerful antimicrobial, so it can help protect the scalp against the overgrowth of yeast, fungus, and mold. To use onion juice for hair growth, chop one red onion and blend it in a blender. Put the blended onion through a cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the pulp. Massage the liquid into your scalp for a few minutes in the shower. Don’t rinse! Allow the onion juice to sit in your hair for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Rinse your hair and shampoo twice to remove onion odor. Do this twice per week for 4 to 6 weeks. You should notice hair growth after week 3 or 4! To increase the benefits of onion juice for hair, add 5 drops of rosemary oil. In a 2015 randomized trial, rosemary oil was found to be as effective as one of the top medications for alopecia. Rosemary oil has several anti-inflammatory and antioxidant phytonutrients that increase blood flow to the scalp. While onion juice for hair has been proven effective, fermenting it can increase its effectiveness! To do this, combine onion juice, 8 ounces of water, a teaspoon of sea salt, and a ½ teaspoon of raw honey in a glass or mason jar. Cover the mixture with a cheesecloth and allow it to ferment at room temperature for 72 hours. This enhances the quercetin in the onion juice, increasing hair growth. Put the mixture through a cheesecloth to separate the liquid. If you’re experiencing hair loss, taking 10,000 to 20,000 IU of vitamin D daily is very beneficial. A healthy diet is also imperative! The Battle of the Cabbages

Sauerkraut and kimchi are two variations of fermented cabbage. They both have amazing benefits for gut health, but is one better than the other? In this video, we’ll compare the health benefits of sauerkraut to the health benefits of kimchi to see how they stack up. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Sauerkraut vs. kimchi 0:13 Health benefits of kimchi 0:30 Sauerkraut benefits and gut health 1:19 More on kimchi 3:01 Fermented cabbage and gut health 4:17 Is kimchi healthier than sauerkraut? 5:11 Sauerkraut vs. kimchi for fat loss Kimchi and sauerkraut are 2 of the top probiotic foods. Both are made of fermented cabbage. Sauerkraut has a mild taste, while kimchi is spicy and contains other vegetables. Kimchi is made from napa cabbage, radish, garlic, chili pepper, ginger, and salt. Because kimchi contains more vegetables, it has more phytonutrients. It also has a higher diversity of microbes. The dominant microbe in sauerkraut and kimchi is Lactobacillus plantarum. It can survive harsh environments, including the acid in your stomach. This microbe contributes to beneficial gut bacteria and can also increase serotonin. Kimchi helps cultivate a unique microbe not found in sauerkraut that inhibits pathogens such as listeria. It’s also protective against fungus, yeast, and mold. Sauerkraut has more of the microbe L. brevis, which benefits gut health and the immune system. Sauerkraut and kimchi both make bacteriocins, which are natural antibiotics. Sauerkraut and kimchi are both made of fermented cabbage, a cruciferous vegetable with the following beneficial properties: •Rich in phytonutrients •Loaded with glutathione •Contains anthocyanins that support longevity •Potent source of vitamin U, which protects against ulcers •Contains glutamine, which is very beneficial for a leaky gut Not only does kimchi have more diverse microbes, but it also contains fermented garlic, which has potent antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. It’s also very beneficial for your immune system. There’s a compound in ginger that turns into several other anti-inflammatory molecules when fermented. Ginger is beneficial for digestion and can be an effective remedy for nausea. Compounds in chili pepper are also enhanced when fermented and are beneficial for pain, inflammation, circulation, metabolism, and fat loss. Kimchi is better for weight loss because of its beneficial properties for blood sugar and insulin resistance. It also has more vitamin C. Look for raw sauerkraut or kimchi for the most benefits! The Simplest Way to Balance the Omega-6 to Omega-3 Ratio

Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/44iVWke Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. Balancing your omega-6 fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids can be complicated, but it's crucial for your health. Let me break it down for you. Check out Dr. Berg's Cod Liver Oil Here: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/3pzzjUZ OR https://amzn.to/3K9hrtN DATA: https://www.bmj.com/content/346/bmj.e8707 https://www.jeffnobbs.com/posts/death-by-vegetable-oil-what-the-studies-say https://www.bmj.com/content/353/bmj.i1246 0:00 Introduction: Understanding the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio 1:07 Are omega-6 fatty acids bad? 3:00 How to balance your omega-fatty acid ratio 5:25 Learn more about cod liver oil! Let's talk about how to balance your ratio of omega-fatty acids and why you need to do this in the first place. The average person's diet is way too high in omega-6 fatty acids and too low in omega-3 fatty acids. The ideal ratio of omega-6 fatty acids to omega-3 fatty acids is 1:1. However, the average ratio of these fatty acids for Americans is about 20:1. If you're deficient in omega-3 fatty acids, you could have cognitive issues or problems with your eyes. Men may also experience problems with low testosterone and fertility. Having high omega-6 fatty acids and low omega-3 fatty acids may potentially lead to: • Stiff red blood cells • Thick blood • Obesity (visceral fat) • Insulin resistance or diabetes • Inflammation • Thrombus • Vasospasm • Vasoconstriction The best and easiest way to balance your omega-6 to omega-3 ratio is to increase your omega-3 fatty acids. Adding omega-3 fatty acids to your diet is even more important than removing the omega-6 fatty acids. Both fish oil and cod liver oil are great sources of omega-3 fatty acids. But, cod liver oil also has vitamin D and vitamin A. Algae is an excellent vegan source of omega-3 fatty acids. Here are a few more ways to balance this ratio: • Replace your salad dressing with olive oil • Avoid fried foods from restaurants • Consume fatty fish 2 to 3 times per week • Consume grass-fed beef • Limit the amount of chicken and grain-fed animal products you consume • Consume walnuts Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Do NOT Make These Mistakes (Especially After 50)

Are these unhealthy habits sabotaging your health? Learn about the top common health mistakes to avoid, especially for people over 50. Even if you’re under 50, you’ll want to avoid these mistakes! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Unhealthy mistakes to avoid 0:32 The top common health mistakes 1:53 Vitamin D 2:54 Magnesium 3:14 Zinc 3:29 Avoid these mistakes with supplements 5:20 The worst diet advice for menopause 6:33 Dietary health mistakes to avoid 8:13 Frequent eating 9:03 Autoimmune diseases 10:34 The importance of gut health Simple choices could be the reason why you’re not healthy. These unhealthy habits can be especially problematic if you’re over 50. 1. Don’t take health advice from inexperienced people. 2. Don’t be too quick to accept a diagnosis. 3. Avoid solutions that create more problems. 4. Avoid excessive stress. The most important nutrient for people over 50 is vitamin D. Vitamin D influences 10% of your genes. You need at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D or more to produce a therapeutic effect. Doctors worldwide are using vitamin D3 for many health concerns, including autoimmune diseases, eye problems, and fibroids. Magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D work together in a synergistic relationship. Magnesium is vital for heart health and energy. Avoid calcium and iron supplements as you age. It’s very difficult to rid the body of excess iron. You don’t need to avoid salt! Opt for sea salt and make sure you’re getting plenty of potassium. Sodium deficiency can cause increased cortisol levels, which can interfere with sleep. Cholesterol is an essential building block of sex hormones, so you must get enough after menopause. Cholesterol is essential for our brain, bile salts, and other hormones. Butter, eggs, dairy, and shellfish are the best dietary sources of cholesterol. Focus on removing carbs from the diet and prioritizing quality protein. Grass-fed beef or lamb is the best source of protein. Frequent eating stimulates insulin, which is the root cause of many chronic illnesses, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and a fatty liver. Autoimmune diseases are related to low vitamin D and the microbes, viruses, and other pathogens that downgrade the vitamin D receptor. After severe stress or shock, your immune system becomes suppressed, leaving you vulnerable to autoimmune disease. It’s vital to understand the importance of the microbiome as an organ, especially when you’re over 50. When you take an antibiotic, your microbes don’t always return. Gut health supports immune function, neurotransmitter production, mood, cognitive function, digestion, nutrient production, sleep, and even protects us against cancer. DATA: https://pescience.com/blogs/articles/whey-protein-insulin-spikes-and-how-to-avoid-them 0:00 Introduction: Is whey protein healthy? 0:23 Understanding whey protein 1:35 Is whey protein keto-friendly? 1:48 Whey protein for weight loss 2:25 Will whey protein create insulin resistance? 3:20 Is whey protein powder bad for you? 4:32 Learn more about dairy on keto! There is one type of protein that can raise your insulin even more than white bread or glucose: whey protein. White bread can increase your insulin by 87%. But whey protein can increase your insulin by a whopping 139%. However, whey protein has an interesting effect because even though it raises insulin, it doesn’t spike your blood sugar level. Some studies have even shown that consuming whey protein after a meal could help lower your blood sugar. Whey protein also increases glucagon, which helps neutralize some of the bad effects of insulin. But will whey protein knock you out of ketosis? Yes. Anything that increases insulin will kick you out of ketosis. Will whey protein powder increase weight gain? I don’t think it does. It’s unknown whether or not whey protein can lead to insulin resistance. While whey protein stimulates muscle growth, it also creates a hormonal effect and stimulates other organs. There has also been data that it’s beneficial for the liver, but other data says that it can damage the liver. There are a lot of mixed opinions on whey protein powder right now. Personally, I don’t take it. I consume higher-quality protein sources, like eggs, meat, and fish, which also have additional nutrients. But, for certain people, whey protein can create some positive effects. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. SHRINK an Enlarged Prostate (And Fix Urine Flow)

Prostate enlargement has become increasingly common in men over 50. In this video, I’ll share the best diet for prostate health and the foods you should avoid to prevent or reverse an enlarged prostate. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: 11 foods to shrink the prostate naturally 0:30 Enlarged prostate symptoms 4:34 Natural remedies for an enlarged prostate 7:23 Insulin resistance and the prostate 8:33 The best foods for prostate health 11:20 Foods to avoid with an enlarged prostate A healthy prostate should be the size of a walnut, but an enlarged prostate can grow to the size of an orange! An enlarged prostate pushes against the bladder, reducing its capacity, which is why one of the most common symptoms of an enlarged prostate is frequent urination at night. Frequent urination at night, or polyuria, can also be caused by the following: •Type 2 diabetes •Prediabetes •High-carb diets •Excess water intake at night •Alcohol •Caffeine •Certain medications •Kidney damage •Sleep apnea Most medications for an enlarged prostate work by reducing DHT, a powerful form of testosterone. The following natural remedies inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which converts testosterone into DHT: •Saw palmetto •Milk thistle •Stinging nettle root •Pumpkin seed oil The prostate has a lot of vitamin D receptors. Vitamin D regulates the growth of the prostate and helps prevent excessive growth. To increase your vitamin D, get more sun exposure or take at least 20,000 IU of vitamin D daily along with 350 mg of magnesium glycinate. As testosterone decreases, that can sometimes leave you with too much estrogen. DIM is an excellent remedy for hormonal imbalances related to estrogen. One of the most common contributors to an enlarged prostate is insulin resistance. Too much insulin can trigger the hormone IGF-1, which can increase the size of the prostate. Insulin is triggered by the consumption of carbohydrates and frequent eating. These 11 foods can help shrink the prostate 1. Low-carb foods 2. Wild-caught salmon/sardines 3. Arugula 4. Beets 5. Pumpkin seeds 6. Dark chocolate 7. Green tea 8. Tomatoes 9. Cod liver oil 10. Apple cider vinegar 11. Watermelon Avoid these foods for the best prostate health: •Sugar •Starches •Seed oils •Alcohol •Milk •Soda •Fried foods •Artificial sweeteners Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The BEST Way to Burn Fat and Build Muscle Naturally

Growth hormone supports anti-aging and can boost fat loss, but human growth hormone supplements don’t always produce the best results. In this video, I’ll show you how to boost growth hormone naturally by up to 2000% for the most growth hormone benefits! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: How to increase HGH naturally 0:21 Growth hormone function 1:18 Growth hormone and IGF-1 3:50 How to boost growth hormone by 2-3x 6:20 increase HGH by 5-10x 7:45 Boost human growth hormone by 10-15x 8:05 The best way to boost growth hormone naturally Growth hormone is vital for fat loss, muscle building, repair, and recovery. However, it declines with age—so it’s something you want to boost naturally. When growth hormone levels decrease, we lose muscle mass, gain body fat, experience a decline in bone density, our skin becomes thinner, and insulin sensitivity decreases. Growth hormone works by signaling the hormone IGF-1 through a conversion process in the liver with the help of insulin. Although insulin is necessary for this process, excessive insulin can inhibit growth hormone. Obesity, sugar, stress, alcohol, overeating, low vitamin D, and poor sleep can also block growth hormone. To boost growth hormone naturally by 2 to 3x, try the following: •Increase GABA and melatonin •L-glutamine •Arginine (Avoid taking this close to a workout) •Cold therapy •Alpha-GPC •Hypoxia training •Keto diet •High-protein diet Deep sleep and intermittent fasting can significantly increase growth hormone levels by up to 5-10 times. To boost growth hormone by 10-15x, try prolonged fasting. The best way to boost human growth hormone is through high-intensity exercise. Try working with heavy loads for the best natural HGH booster. Squats, deadlifts, sprinting, and CrossFit can further boost growth hormone levels. This Will Piss You Off!

Less than 1% of beef sold in the U.S. is truly grass-fed. Misleading food labels and industry loopholes surround the grass-fed beef marketing lies. Find out about the grass-fed scam and what you can do to make healthy choices. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Grass-fed beef exposed 1:36 Grass fed vs. grain fed 2:52 Antibiotics and grass-fed beef 3:29 Feedlots in the U.S. 4:41 100% grass-fed beef In 2016, the USDA dropped the official definition of grass-fed. Technically, all cows are grass-fed until the last 3 to 6 months of their lives, when they’re typically fattened with grains. However, despite misleading food labels, over 99% of beef in the store is not truly grass-fed. Cows are fed grains to quickly fatten them up, but these aren’t “healthy” grains like many people assume. Cows in feedlots are fed DDGS (dried distillers grain with solubles), a cheap waste product of GMO, inedible dent corn used for making ethanol. This is incredibly profitable because it causes the cows to gain weight quickly for very little cost. Fiber, limestone, and synthetic vitamins and minerals are added to this corn byproduct. Monensin, an antibiotic, is also added. Antibiotics are regularly used in feedlots in the U.S. to quickly increase weight gain in animals. Beta-agonists are also used to enhance muscle growth. Some studies have shown that the use of this medication in animals can cause anxiety in the humans who consume them. There are two types of feedlots: open and closed. In closed feedlots, the cows only get 24 square feet of space and around 150 square feet in open feedlots. For truly grass-fed beef, look for 100% grass-fed. Support small farmers for the healthiest meat and to help put an end to the grass-fed scam! Today, we’re going to talk about what causes shingles and the best natural remedies for shingles. Shingles is a condition caused by a virus called varicella-zoster. Ultimately, there is a weakness within your immune system. But you can control the virus if you understand a little bit about the immune system. Certain things can trigger this virus and cause it to come out of remission. These things can include: • Vitamin D deficiency • Certain medications • Stress • Radiation • Sunburn • Pesticides A vitamin D deficiency makes you especially susceptible to having this virus come out of remission. Vitamin D controls and supports your immune system in hundreds of different ways. Many different things can lead to a vitamin D deficiency, including a genetic weakness. It’s common to have a genetic weakness that can decrease your ability to absorb vitamin D. If you have this weakness, normal doses of vitamin D won’t be as effective. Vitamin D is more like a hormone than a vitamin—it’s very similar to cortisol in its anti-inflammatory effects and what it can do for your immune system. The best natural remedies for shingles: 1. Should you really be consuming fruit—is it even healthy? Find out! 0:00 Introduction: Is fruit healthy? 0:47 The truth about fruit 1:55 Low-sugar fruit 3:00 Understanding fructose 4:45 Check out this video on the glycemic load! Today I want to cover some interesting things about fruit. Fruit contains vitamin C, phytonutrients, and fiber. But does the bad outweigh the good? Fruits have at least 5 times more sugar than vegetables. In fact, 85% of a piece of fruit is sugar. If you’re eating fruit for health reasons, you may want to get your nutrients from a different source. Fruits have very low amounts of many nutrients that your body needs, including: • Protein • Fat • Iron • B vitamins • Calcium • Zinc • Omega-3 • Vitamin D Certain fruits have lower amounts of sugar and are fine to consume in small amounts, including: • Raspberries • Blackberries • Blueberries • Strawberries Fruit contains glucose and fructose. Fructose might be low on the glycemic index, but it’s not a healthy alternative to sugar. Only the liver can metabolize fructose, which means it can overload the liver and cause a cascade of issues. Other problems with fructose: • It causes you to feel less satisfied • It increases cortisol • It decreases insulin sensitivity • It contributes to a fatty liver Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The REAL Reason Food Dyes are Still Legal in the US (But Banned in Europe)

Toxic drugs are classified as pharmaceutical grade, but what about artificial food coloring? Food dyes are certified for use, but often contain more toxic byproducts than pharmaceutical medications. Find out about the dangers of food dyes! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Food dyes classification 0:13 The dangers of food dyes 0:53 Food dye side effects 1:43 Natural food coloring 2:32 Are all synthetic food dyes bad? 2:45 Methylene blue vs. artificial food coloring 3:53 The problem with artificial food dyes There are more toxic byproducts in food dyes than in many drugs. These synthetic food colorants have never been tested long-term for biological effects in humans! Many food dyes have been banned in Europe, but are still used in the U.S. Junk food industries that sell products with food dyes are heavily self-regulated, so the FDA allows them to perform their own studies. In 2021, there was a petition to ban red dye number 3 in cosmetics because it's a carcinogen even in small amounts, but it can still be found in your child’s cereal. Artificial food coloring has been shown to cause hyperactivity in children and other neurological issues. Food dyes are often used for their psychological effects. Studies have shown that people will choose to eat more of a food because of its color. Natural pigments in our food have antioxidant properties, anti-inflammatory effects, help protect your cells, and protect the mitochondria. You can also get these phytonutrients when you consume grass-fed beef or lamb. Methylene blue is a synthetic, petroleum-based food dye that benefits your health. It was one of the first drugs ever developed, and unlike other artificial food dyes, methylene blue is pharmaceutical grade. It’s been used for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, bladder infections, cancer, and more. Methylene blue is chemically different from other artificial food dyes. It helps give the body energy, even when there’s damage to the mitochondria. It’s beneficial for degenerative neurological disorders and reduces oxidative stress associated with cancer and mitochondrial damage. Artificial food coloring does not have the benefits of the pigments found naturally in food. They don’t act as antioxidants or reduce inflammation in the body. They damage the mitochondria, and they don’t have nutritional cofactors. Artificial food dyes have been linked to ADD and tumors in rats. They can cause leaky gut, and their effects are worsened when combined with preservatives and other food chemicals. Some food dyes are bioaccumulative, which means they build up in the body. The kidneys effectively eliminate methylene blue, so it doesn’t accumulate. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. We've Been Eating Fake Cheese

Parmigiano Reggiano contains the highest amount of one important nutrient! In this video, we’ll compare Parmigiano Reggiano and Parmesan cheese to see how they stack up. Which is better? Why is Parmigiano Reggiano expensive? Is it healthier? Watch and find out! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Parmigiano Reggiano vs. Parmesan cheese 0:53 Grass-fed cheese 1:40 What is Parmigiano Reggiano? 1:52 U.S. Parmesan cheese ingredients 2:54 Parmigiano Reggiano and the benefits of high-quality cheese 3:51 Vitamin K2 benefits Parmigiano Reggiano is a cheese made in Parma, Italy. It’s a grass-fed cheese made with high standards not seen in American Parmesan cheese-making. Grass-fed cheese is loaded with microbes that come from the soil. Cows need the help of microbes to digest the fiber in the grass they consume. These microbes produce byproducts from the grass that help nourish the cow. The process of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese-making also involves microbes! Parmigiano Reggiano is made from 3 ingredients: high-quality cow’s milk, salt, and an enzyme that turns the milk into cheese. U.S. Parmesan cheese also contains potassium sorbate. Parmigiano Reggiano is a raw product without fillers or preservatives that's aged at least 12 months. There are no aging requirements for Parmesan cheese. Some Parmigiano Reggiano is aged for 14 to 24 months, or longer. Microbes consume lactose during the aging process, so the finished product is often lactose-free. Parmigiano Reggiano has the following health benefits: •High in glutamate •Contains bioavailable calcium and phosphorus •Helps build glutathione, a potent antioxidant that supports liver health •Reduces blood pressure •Contains butyric acid, which supports brain health Parmigiano Reggiano has the highest amount of vitamin K2 compared to all other cheeses. Vitamin K2 redirects calcium in the arteries and joints to the teeth and bones. Parmigiano Reggiano contains MK-7, the most bioavailable form of vitamin K2. Oxytocin is a hormone typically associated with reproduction. But, recently, I learned it's also involved in countering stress. Oxytocin is actually the most important hormone in counteracting cortisol and the fight or flight mechanism, and it's a major hormone involved in regulating anxiety and stress. Oxytocin is also involved in social biology and helps prevents atrophy of the hippocampus. The best ways to trigger oxytocin and reduce stress: • Bonding with people and pets • Volunteering • Donating • Sharing • Storytelling • Hugging This goes beyond diet and exercise. It's clear that helping others is something you can do to increase oxytocin and manage stress. But a few other factors are also at play. Vitamin C, magnesium, and cholesterol support healthy oxytocin levels, and estrogen increases the receptor for oxytocin. Check out my other videos to learn more about the best diet for stress and how to reduce stress naturally. The REAL Cause of Neck & Shoulder Pain

If you’re experiencing unexplained neck pain, shoulder pain, or upper back pain issues, it could be referred pain from your liver or gallbladder. Discover the connection between your gallbladder and shoulder pain. Find out if you’re dealing with referred pain and what to do about it. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Your neck pain is not spine-related! 0:47 Gallbladder, liver, and neck pain connection 2:30 What causes neck pain? 3:30 How to get rid of chronic neck pain and shoulder pain 4:06 How to determine if you have referred pain Eliminate junk food with the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter app: https://drbrg.co/457AcIO Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/4l8Wtw4 Android Download: https://drbrg.co/4lMZyCQ Discover nutrient-dense foods that support liver and gallbladder health here: https://drbrg.co/45kPiMh Try these 5 strategies to cut ultra-processed foods: https://drbrg.co/4f9yYS6 Your neck pain might not be spine-related. Your gallbladder is a small sac that hangs beneath your rib cage and connects to the small intestine and liver. When you eat, the gallbladder releases bile into the small intestine to help you break down fat. Bile is made of cholesterol and bile salts. You can develop gallstones when cholesterol is high and bile salts are low. Before the development of gallstones, you’ll have bile sludge that clogs the ducts, applying pressure to the phrenic nerve that extends to the neck. This causes referred pain in the neck and shoulder area. Any congestion in the liver or gallbladder can cause unexplained neck pain and shoulder pain. This can’t be fixed with surgery, drugs, a chiropractor, physical therapy, or massage! You must address the root causes: bile deficiency, liver damage, alcohol, and junk food. Address these issues to get rid of referred pain. Bile salts are a powerful remedy for referred pain from the liver and gallbladder. TUDCA can help thin bile sludge and reduce fat on the liver. It’s also good for the eyes, brain, and pancreas. Increasing taurine is also beneficial, but dietary changes are the best remedy for this problem. To determine if you’re dealing with pain from the gallbladder or liver, manually massage the area to eliminate congestion. If this is the source of your problem, you’ll feel instant relief from right-side neck pain and shoulder pain. There is no real estrogen or progesterone in birth control pills. Instead, there are synthetic versions of estrogen and progesterone that have been altered to mimic these hormones. But, there can be side effects. Increased risks associated with birth control pills: • Heart attacks • High blood pressure • Stroke • Blood clots • Breast cancer • Dementia • Depression • Acne • Mood swings • Lupus • Weight gain • A deficiency in zinc and selenium • Melasma • An alteration of the microbiome Birth control pills shut down the production of estrogen and progesterone, which can have long-term effects on your health. It may even affect longevity. However, there is a hormone-free option that is FDA cleared and is 93-99% effective, depending on how well it’s implemented. This form of birth control is called Natural Cycles, and it doesn’t involve any medication whatsoever. If you’ve been on birth control pills or decide to continue taking birth control pills, it may be beneficial to do things to counter some of the chemicals in your liver. You can do this by consuming more cruciferous and fermented vegetables. You may also want to take zinc, selenium, B12, magnesium, and a good probiotic. There are different hormones involved in a communication circuit that are constantly adapting to various factors, including the environment, your diet, and stress. This communication circuit is what tells the ovaries to release estrogen and progesterone. Many of the symptoms you might have are potentially occurring because of the dramatic changes related to estrogen and progesterone. For example, if your estrogen is too high or too low, you could have a lot of different issues. Black cohosh contains phytonutrients that have very interesting effects on the hormones involved in the communication circuit—helping to balance the circuit. It also helps balance estrogen. Doctor Reveals The MOST Overlooked Medicine on Earth

You don’t need to spend a fortune on infrared devices to get plenty of infrared light. Check out this fascinating interview with Dr. Roger Seheult, an expert on sunlight and vitamin D, as we discuss the powerful health benefits of sunlight. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Welcome, Dr. Roger Seheult 4:05 The abscopal effect of light 4:58 What does light do in the body? 10:24 Infrared light and nature 12:06 The Green Heart study 13:45 Infrared light and sleep 21:24 Indoor lighting and your health Please join me in welcoming Dr. Roger Seheult, quadruple board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. Dr. Seheult shares some fascinating new research about the ability of sunlight to penetrate the human body. It’s been previously thought that the sun could only penetrate a few centimeters into our bodies, but recent research has shown that it can penetrate the entire body and can even be measured on the other side. Surprisingly, randomized, placebo-controlled studies have shown that light can affect parts of the body that were not exposed to sunlight. This phenomenon is known as the abscopal effect. This means that mitochondria from one part of the body can communicate with each other and upregulate, even if they are not directly exposed to light. Infrared light can stimulate the mitochondria to produce more melatonin, which can reduce oxidative stress. It’s not significantly affected by the atmosphere, so you can get it almost any time of the day. UVB light, which you need to make vitamin D, is more abundant when the sun is at its highest. Green trees, leaves, and grass reflect infrared light. To maximize infrared light absorption, head to green spaces where nature can reflect infrared light back to you! The Green Heart study measured the HSCRP, which correlates with the risk of stroke or heart attack, in residents of south Louisville, Kentucky—a region characterized by concrete and a lack of greenery. Approximately 8,000 trees were planted in a 4-square-mile area, and the HSCRP was remeasured. This resulted in a 13% to 20% average drop in HSCRP, which correlates to a 10% to 15% reduction in stroke and heart attack risk, without any changes in diet or exercise. Dr. Seheult also explains that daytime light exposure helps with sleep by supporting the circadian rhythm, while nighttime light exposure can have an opposite effect. What Happens When You Eat 3 to 4 Eggs Daily?

Eggs have gotten some bad press, but what’s the truth? Are eggs bad for you? What about eggs and cholesterol? In this video, find out about the unique nutrition profile of eggs and the benefits of eating 3-4 eggs daily. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How many eggs should I eat a day? 0:18 Eggs and cholesterol 0:40 Egg benefits 4:26 Egg nutrition 7:37 What type of eggs should I eat? 8:30 Pasture-raised eggs 10:35 Healthy eating tips Why eat eggs? Eggs are the most absorbable form of protein, which sets them apart from other sources of protein, such as meat and fish. Protein is an essential building block for muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It’s vital for repair, hormone and enzyme composition, and can even be used as a fuel source. When you consume animal protein, you can only use 10 to 20 percent for fuel. In comparison, 65% of an egg can be used as fuel! Eggs also contain anti-microbial proteins and have iron and biotin-binding properties. Eggs have all the amino acids, including leucine, which is the key amino acid in muscle building. Eggs are the second-highest source of choline, which prevents a fatty liver and helps make up bile. Choline is also essential for a process called methylation. Eggs contain lutein and zeaxanthin, powerful antioxidants that support the health and function of the retina and brain. They contain phospholipids, which further support the membranes of the brain and other bodily tissues. Eating eggs can even help lower blood pressure! Eggs contain vitamin K2, which helps transport calcium and keep it out of the soft tissues, directing it instead into the teeth and bones. They contain the active form of vitamin A and also contain vitamin D. Approximately 65% of all eggs consumed are conventional, which come from caged chickens. Cage-free is a better option, but it doesn’t guarantee the chickens have outdoor access. Organic pasture-raised eggs are the best option. Organic refers to the feed that’s given to the chicken, and “vegetarian-fed” does not necessarily mean the egg is better. Conventional eggs come from chickens that are fed GMO corn and soy, so the eggs have a higher omega-6 content. Try pairing your eggs with these healthy foods for the most nutrient absorption: •Arugula •Onions •Black pepper •Tomatoes •Avocado •Olive oil/butter Don’t overcook your eggs! If you can’t afford organic, pasture-raised eggs, conventional eggs are still a healthy option. DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... Explore more home remedies that really work with this free resource: https://drbrg.co/44DNzBq Today, we’re going to talk about some of the underlying causes of pain, along with the best natural remedies for pain relief. Joint pain and inflammation don’t always signify arthritis! It’s important to understand that natural joint pain remedies will not work if you continue to consume foods that cause inflammation. To avoid joint pain and inflammation, it’s vital to avoid the following foods: •Sugar •High-fructose corn syrup •Seed oils •Gluten •Oxalates •MSG •Maltodextrin •Nightshades (Potatoes, peppers, tomatoes) •Lectins (Beans, peanuts, wheat, soy) Healthy Keto is a great option to help avoid these inflammatory foods! If you’re sensitive to oxalates, it may be caused by past antibiotic use. This can make you more susceptible to joint pain, especially when you consume spinach, chocolate, almonds, and Swiss chard. Increasing magnesium intake can help significantly. Add a teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of half water and half coconut milk for the best joint pain remedy. Add a pinch of black pepper to increase absorption by 2000%. You can also add a scoop of collagen powder for even more joint pain relief! This drink is delicious for most people, but you can add a couple drops of liquid stevia if necessary. Drink this daily. It can also be served warm. This drink works anytime, but try drinking it in the morning for pain relief that lasts all day! Turmeric has been shown to have similar effectiveness to ibuprofen and other NSAIDS. If you’re taking a turmeric supplement for joint pain relief, take 1000 to 1500 mg daily. Turmeric inhibits at least four major inflammatory pathways. Coconut milk has beneficial properties and also helps with turmeric absorption. Collagen helps build up the joints. Boswellia serrata is also an amazing supplement that research has shown to be as effective as NSAIDS without side effects. Walking is the best exercise for joint pain relief, and it has no side effects. It can also extend your life! 7 Foods to REVERSE Kidney Damage (Must Watch)

Restoring kidney health could be as easy as adding these foods to your diet. In this video, discover the 7 best foods to help prevent kidney damage, protect the kidneys, and support kidney health. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Recommended Olive Oil Link: https://sanmicheleorganic.com/product... 0:00 Introduction: The 7 best foods to help prevent kidney damage 0:45 Potassium and kidney health 1:16 Common causes of kidney damage 1:59 The 7 best foods to prevent kidney damage 6:25 Intermittent fasting for kidney health Today, we’re going to talk about kidney health. A big myth is that potassium is bad for the kidneys, but this isn't true! Our bodies require 4700 mg of potassium each day. The only time you’d want to avoid potassium is if you have advanced-stage kidney disease. Potassium protects kidney health in several ways. It helps lower high blood pressure, which damages the kidneys and protects against kidney stones. Too much sodium can be hard on the kidneys, but the remedy is more potassium. Many factors can contribute to kidney damage, including the following: •High sugar consumption •Alcohol •NSAIDs •Certain medications •Pesticides •Heavy metals •Food dyes •Phosphorus from soda A proper diet with adequate vitamin D, potassium, and magnesium can significantly improve kidney health. The following foods protect the kidneys from damage and support kidney health: 1. Vegetables: asparagus, celery, bell peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, garlic 2. Magnesium-rich foods: pumpkin seeds, leafy greens, avocadoes, magnesium glycinate 3. Probiotic-foods: kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi 4. Moderate amounts of high-quality protein 5. High-antioxidant foods: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, beets 6. Quercetin: onions 7. Extra virgin olive oil Consuming tea is a great way to stay hydrated and support kidney health. Polyphenols found in tea are very beneficial for the kidney. Green, nettle, dandelion, turmeric, and decaffeinated black tea are all great options. Frequent eating can overtax the kidneys' filtration system. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting are very beneficial for kidney health. Intermittent fasting can decrease the stress on the kidneys and significantly reduce insulin. Too much insulin can be damaging to the kidneys. Is oatmeal bad for you? Let’s talk about it. The small packets of flavored oatmeal contain a lot of sugar, and even though they may be marketed as healthy—they’re not. But what about unsweetened oatmeal? Here are three things you might not know about unsweetened oatmeal: 1. Certain studies show a significant improvement in blood sugar and cholesterol. However, the control in one of these studies is white bread. The study also only showed an improvement in blood sugar right after the meal. Part of the study referring to cholesterol was only on consuming beta-glucan, which is an isolated compound in oatmeal. In a different study, the participants all had diabetes, and they didn’t see a change in their blood glucose levels. 2. Oats contain a type of gluten called avenin. This protein has been known to increase cytokines. 3. Oat products have often been treated with glyphosate. The World Health Organization classifies glyphosate as a carcinogen. It may be beneficial to skip breakfast altogether and give intermittent fasting a try. If you do consume breakfast, eggs would be a healthier choice than oatmeal. Depression Has NOTHING to Do With Your Brain

What causes depression? Surprisingly, depression has nothing to do with your brain and everything to do with your gut microbiome. In this video, we’ll take an in-depth look at the brain-gut connection and the often overlooked relationship between depression and gut health. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Depression explained 1:17 Side effects of SSRIs 1:32 St. John’s wort and depression 2:27 The brain-gut connection 3:22 Depression and gut health 3:40 Depression and gut inflammation 3:51 Antibiotics and depression 4:33 L. reuteri and mental health Depression has consistently been viewed as a chemical imbalance, but it's actually related to a problem with the gut. Depression is often treated with SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), but many studies show normal serotonin levels in people with depression. SSRIs do not fix depression and have even been called placebos by some medical professionals. They also come with serious side effects, including sexual dysfunction, decreased libido, inability to experience emotion, and worsening depression. St. John’s wort affects both serotonin and dopamine. It’s an anti-inflammatory and reduces cortisol, but doctors and the medical world often recommend against it despite its very few side effects. Serotonin and oxytocin are made in the gut. Oxytocin is a powerful hormone that can help with depression and stress, so gut health is at the core of mental health. The vagus nerve works as a highway that orchestrates the brain and gut connection. If you have a problem with your gut microbes, this can lead to depression. Studies have found serious microbes missing in depressed people! Gut inflammation can also alter your mood. One of the side effects of antibiotics is depression. Antibiotics erase the good bacteria that control your mood chemicals. Once wiped away, microbes don't always come back, and you could be left with an imbalance. L. reuteri is an amazing microbe that many people are missing. Dr. William Davis has shared an expert technique for cultivating L. reuteri using half and half to increase its potency. People have consumed this probiotic mixture and experienced significant health benefits such as improved sleep, muscle tone, and reduced stress. L. reuteri acts as a natural antibiotic without side effects and is found naturally in breast milk.
