#1 Deficiency Behind POOR EYESIGHT
By the age of 45, most people need glasses! They're known as corrective lenses, but they don’t actually improve eyesight. Is it possible to improve eyesight naturally? Find out how to improve eyesight and eye health in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to improve eyesight naturally 0:38 Contrast sensitivity loss 2:05 Carotenoids 2:55 Light to improve eyesight 3:19 How to improve eyesight 3:52 The sun and eye health 4:24 Zeaxanthin and lutein for eyes 5:25 Avoid these foods for healthy eyes 5:43 The best diet for eyesight improvement 6:19 Important vitamins for the eyes DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Did you know that the more you wear your glasses, the stronger prescription you’ll need? Contrast sensitivity loss is an eye problem doctors don’t commonly check for. This condition affects the ability to differentiate between shades of grey, causing blurry vision, especially in low light. Carotenoids are antioxidants that protect the eyes against blue light, chemicals, damage from diabetes, and more. However, as we age, carotenoids decrease, so eye protection also decreases. Full-spectrum light can be helpful but will not solve the problem. To improve eyesight, you need to increase the efficiency of the retina. Sunlight is vital for eye and retina health. It allows UV and infrared light into the eye and can also help build up the eye’s melatonin. You can increase carotenoids in the eye by consuming foods with lutein and zeaxanthin. Both carotenoids are found in egg yolks. If you choose supplements with lutein and zeaxanthin, look for one with at least 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxanthin. Research has shown significant improvement in macular degeneration and contrast sensitivity loss in people who took lutein and zeaxanthin for 12 weeks. Ophthalmologist Dr. Chris Knobbe stresses the importance of removing seed oils from the diet and moving towards an ancestral diet for improved eyesight and eye health. Fatty fish like salmon contain omega-3s, which support eye health and reduce inflammation. DHA is vital for the brain and retina and is found in fish oil and cod liver oil. Vitamin D is critical for every part of the eye and can help with conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinopathy. Take at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D every day. Vitamin A is essential, especially for night vision. Zinc can also help! #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching! Growing MUSCLES over 50 Years of Age
Did you know that weight loss can sometimes shorten your lifespan? But how can that be? In this video, we’ll talk about muscle mass and longevity and preserving muscle as you age. Not all weight loss is good weight loss! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 00:00 Introduction: How to prevent muscle loss 0:22 Ozempic for weight loss 1:25 Sarcopenia 1:56 How to avoid age-related muscle loss 3:07 Sleep and muscle recovery 4:47 The muscle reserve 5:23 Other types of muscle loss 5:36 Top anti-aging tips 7:22 The #1 anti-aging secret! Losing weight should help you live longer, but it’s not always that simple. As you age, it’s vital to maintain a healthy amount of lean muscle mass. Ozempic is very popular for weight loss, but trials have shown that it can cause muscle loss, not just fat loss. One study compared the use of Ozempic to a decade or more of aging. Preserving muscle mass is one of the best things you can do for longevity. Your muscles help regulate your blood sugar and support your metabolism. Sarcopenia is the term for age-related muscle loss. When you develop sarcopenia, your risk for diabetes, immune problems, and your mortality rate increases. Exercise is the best thing you can do for your muscles. Protein is the raw material for muscle-building, so it’s essential to ensure you’re getting enough and spreading your intake throughout the day. Grass-fed red meat is the best source of protein. Poor sleep drains muscle mass more than poor diet because muscle recovery occurs when you’re sleeping. In summary, focus on the following as you age: •Increase lean muscle mass •Ensure adequate protein intake •Consume collagen •Increase magnesium glycinate, vitamin D, zinc, selenium, copper, B vitamins, and coenzyme Q10 •Consume iron from red meat L. reuteri is a microbe with many fascinating benefits and has been shown to increase muscle stem cells. Burn fat and get shredded without doing anything? Is it too good to be true? 0:00 Introduction: The truth about V Shred 1:45 Understanding weight loss 2:42 Why is it harder for some people to lose weight? 5:25 It’s not just about weight loss 6:25 The best diet for weight loss 7:10 Learn more about how to do keto! You’ve probably seen advertisements offering a program that can help you burn fat and get shredded without doing keto, paleo, or even exercise. This diet only requires you to cut out added sugar and processed foods. But is this program too good to be true? The short answer: for most people, yes. Fat burning and weight loss are about what you eat and when you eat. It’s really tied to insulin. If you lower your insulin, your body can stop storing fat and will start burning fat. The lower your carbohydrates, the more fat you’re going to burn. It’s harder for some people to lose weight than others because they have insulin resistance. Some people can lose weight by only reducing their carbs because they don’t have insulin resistance. But this is rare. About 70% of the population has insulin resistance. The two main things that increase insulin are carbs and frequent eating. The more insulin resistance you have, the more you have to reduce your carbs and do intermittent fasting. The problem with the V Shred program is that it focuses on a very small percentage of the population that can lose weight by reducing junk foods and processed sugar. The majority of people will need to at least do fasting to experience results. It’s also important to remember that it’s not just about weight loss. It’s about getting healthy and looking good as you lose weight. I believe the best way to get healthy and lose weight is to get on the Healthy Keto® diet (lower your carbs and increase the quality of your food), do intermittent fasting, and do the right exercise. What Would Happen If You Used RICE WATER on Your Hair for 2 Weeks
What would happen if you used rice water on your hair for 2 weeks? Rice water for hair is an ancient secret used in Asia for centuries. Could rice water be the key to hair growth, stronger hair, and a healthier scalp? Find out in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Rice water for hair 1:23 Fermented rice water benefits 2:50 How to make rice water for hair 4:31 How to use rice water for hair 5:03 Share your rice water hair growth results down below! Today, we’re going to talk about using rice water for hair growth. Fermented rice water is the best rice water for your hair. It takes 48 hours to make probiotic rice water! Rice water contains B vitamins and amino acids essential for the hair. Fermented rice water contains pitera, a byproduct of fermentation often used in skin care. Pitera helps brighten the hair and also helps with dandruff and itchiness. Fermented rice water contains lactic acid, which decreases dullness and frizziness. It also contains magnesium and selenium. Fermented rice water increases nitric oxide, which helps bring oxygen to the hair's root. To make fermented rice water, combine 2 cups of organic rice in a bowl with 4 cups of water. Massage the rice with water and drain. Add 2 cups of water to the wet rice and allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 2 hours. Strain the liquid into a glass jar and cover lightly. After 48 hours, cover your fermented rice water with a lid and store it in the refrigerator. The cold temperature will slow down bacterial growth. To use fermented rice water for your hair, apply it to your hair and scalp, leave it on for 20 minutes, and then rinse. Do this twice per week for hair growth and healthier hair. Fermented rice water helps repair the hair and puts beneficial microbes back into the hair. It can also be used on your face! You can be insulin resistant for 15-20 years before you develop diabetes! Chronic sugar consumption can lead to insulin resistance, but seed oils can be equally problematic. Seed oils cause damage to the cell membranes (which contain insulin receptors) and damage to the mitochondria. There is evidence that unsaturated fatty acids can reduce the risk of diabetes, but this is not the case with rancid, oxidized seed oils. These highly refined seed oils are full of toxic byproducts such as aldehydes, which create irreversible damage in the insulin receptor. The average person consumes 25%-30% of their calories from seed oils. You can have high insulin and normal blood sugar for many years. Over time, this overworks the pancreas, causing the beta cells that produce insulin to become overworked and eventually stop producing insulin, leaving the body without a mechanism to regulate blood sugar levels. Normal blood sugar should be around 80, which is equivalent to a single teaspoon of sugar in the blood, even though the average person consumes 81 to 131 teaspoons of sugar every day! If you have diabetes or you want to avoid it, avoid these foods: 1. Fast food fries and fried chicken 2. Deep-fried restaurant foods 3. Chips/crisps/corn chips 4. Doughnuts and pastries 5. Sweetened drinks 6. Frozen breaded foods 7. Commercial salad dressing and mayo 8. Instant noodles 9. Granola/protein bars and cookies 10. Microwave popcorn To detox aldehydes, consume more of the following nutrients: •Carnosine: grass-fed red meat •Sulfur-rich vegetables: onions, garlic, broccoli •Polyphenols: green tea, dark chocolate, pomegranate Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. The Corrupt Food Industry Hiding In Your Child's School Lunch
Over 70% of your child’s diet comes from ultra-processed foods. Refined sugars, starches, and seed oils are destroying their brains. Watch this fascinating interview with Hilary Boynton, founder of School of Lunch, who aims to halt this junk food epidemic. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The ultra-processed diet in children 0:36 Welcome, Hilary Boynton 3:38 The benefits of a healthy diet for children 6:06 Hilary’s training program 9:41 Please donate to Hilary’s GoFundMe! 11:02 Food and health, a vicious cycle Hilary Boynton is the founder of the organization School of Lunch. She has developed a training program to teach schools around the country how to create healthy, nourishing meals for our children. Hilary’s family health journey led her to develop School of Lunch. Hilary is a mother of 5 who’s dealt with infertility, eczema, epilepsy, speech delays, cancer, and Alzheimer’s. Hilary’s family moved to California during her husband’s battle against cancer. There, she teamed up with a local school and began working on their lunch program. She started as the snack coordinator, then became the consultant to the lunch lady, and was finally given the keys to the kitchen. Inspired by Dr. Weston A. Price's works, Hilary began exploring the importance of traditional, ancestral foods and our health. She familiarized herself with the gut-brain and gut-body connection. After implementing these dietary changes, kids no longer felt the ups and downs of their energy and mood throughout the school day. Kids and their teachers, who followed the same diet, were satiated and energized throughout the day. These benefits trickled into the children’s home lives, encouraging parents to join in after seeing the visible improvements. Hilary realized that more schools needed this information. Improving their food could greatly benefit schools, hospitals, churches, community centers, and more. If you’re able, please donate to Hilary’s amazing cause! Doctors do not factor in food when treating chronic illnesses caused by an ultra-processed diet. Hilary’s program aims to turn this vicious cycle around not by simply changing the diet but by empowering children to understand the power of food. Why Do Most Indian Men Have Potbellies?!
I have surprising new information about the causes of belly fat that goes beyond eating too many carbs. Watch this fascinating interview with Dr. Roshani Sanghani as we discuss health problems that stem from diet. ROSHANI SANGHANI, MD Website: https://reisaanhealth.com/ Watch the Part 1 Here: ▶️ • Why Do Most Indian Men Have a Protruding P... Please join me in welcoming endocrinologist Dr. Roshani Sanghani. Dr. Sanghani explains the different health problems in India, including insulin resistance, diabetes, fatty liver, and protruding bellies. These problems are starting to occur in young children—1 in 3 Indian children have high triglycerides and a fatty liver. Endocrinologists do not focus on carbohydrates triggering insulin while in medical school. Dr. Sanghani tells us that she spent very little time on the lifestyle aspect of disease and much more time learning about prescriptions. Dr. Sanghani explains that endocrinologists prescribe insulin according to the patient's carbohydrate intake. It finally dawned on her that by lowering the patient’s carbohydrate intake, they could lower their insulin. She traveled to India, determined to share this information with her patients. India has been badly affected by low-fat, low-calorie dietary marketing. Dr. Sanghani explains a typical day of eating in the Indian diet consists of snacking, high carbohydrate intake, and very little protein. Many Indians are vegetarian, making it very difficult for them to meet their protein requirements. Many Indian vegetarians are okay with dairy and consume yogurt, milk, and paneer cheese for protein. She also recommends whey protein for her vegetarian patients. Although not a whole food, it’s an ideal way for a vegetarian to increase their protein intake. Some vegetarians are fine with adding eggs to their diet, although some are concerned about dietary cholesterol. There’s no proven link between dietary cholesterol and bad cholesterol in the blood. Tofu and tempeh are also protein options for vegetarians in India. Dr. Sanghani helps her patients learn to read labels and understand the problem with processed grains and starches. She focuses on first increasing protein, then decreasing carbs while increasing salad intake. Some of her patients wear continuous glucose monitors to understand the effects of carbohydrates. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Let’s talk about the #1 nutritional deficiency behind constipation: a vitamin B1 deficiency. A severe vitamin B1 deficiency is called beriberi. Constipation is essentially a problem with peristalsis—it’s not working properly, and you’re not pumping waste through the body. But if we look even deeper, this issue is related to the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is intimately involved with the gut. When you don’t have enough vitamin B1 (thiamine), a lot of things can go wrong with the autonomic nervous system—which then affects the gut. A thiamine deficiency can also cause other problems in your gut that may lead to constipation, including: • Low stomach acid • Decreased gastric mobility (gastroparesis) • Decreased pancreatic enzymes • Biliary dyskinesia A diet high in refined carbs and sugar is one of the primary causes of a B1 deficiency. I’m not against herbal laxatives, as long as you’re also trying to correct the root problem—this means getting enough B1. Make sure you consume a natural vitamin B1 (thiamine) supplement, not a synthetic version. American Heart Association Opposed Banning Junk Food
The American Heart Association is supposed to work to prevent heart disease, the #1 killer worldwide. Surprisingly, the AHA openly opposed the SNAP reform bill, which would prevent the purchase of junk food with SNAP. Is the American Heart Association really trying to keep us on a “heart-healthy” diet? Find out in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: AHA exposed! 0:30 The American Heart Association and the SNAP reform bill 2:00 Big food and AHA 2:21 American Heart Association Certified 3:15 Government subsidies and the junk food industry 4:20 Should we have SNAP reform? VITAMIN D TEST KIT: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/3RsFicb Dr. Cicero Interview: ▶️ • HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! DATA: https://www.leefang.com/p/sugary-soda... https://www.heart.org/en/healthy-livi... Most people know that the American Heart Association receives funding from the junk food industry, so it may not have come as a surprise that they openly rejected the SNAP reform bill. After much embarrassment, they retracted their statements and claimed to no longer oppose the bill. Soda is the most frequently purchased item under the SNAP program. Soda lobbyists argue that the SNAP reform bill violates the liberty of choosing what you want to eat and drink! Junk food companies are paying social media influencers to oppose the SNAP reform bill and focus on food insecurity. Government subsidies for food first started during the Great Depression, but they have since become much more corrupt. Today, the system continues to make the junk food industry richer. Big Food and Big Pharma continue to benefit from this system at the expense of taxpayers and the health of the American people. The SNAP program should allow people to purchase nutrient-dense foods and prevent the purchase of ultra-processed foods. This would reduce chronic disease and save people money on prescription medications. Junk food companies oppose SNAP reform because a tremendous amount of money is at stake. 80% of Heart Attacks & Strokes Happen Because of THIS
Over 80% of heart attacks and strokes are not caused by arterial plaque, cholesterol, or calcium blocking the arteries. Find out about the true underlying cause of heart attacks and strokes so you can support your heart health and prevent them. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: What causes a heart attack? 0:36 Blood clots and heart attacks 2:50 Excess calcium and heart attacks 4:18 How to prevent heart attack by preventing clotting 5:09 Supporting heart health 6:10 Supplements to prevent heart attack More videos on Teeth and Heart Disease: ▶️ • Could Heart Dysfunction Come From an Infec... ▶️ • The Hidden Source of Heart Attacks/Strokes... If someone dies from a heart attack or stroke, their death is typically the result of a clot. A clot can form in less than 5 seconds! Usually, your body should form a clot, fix the hole in the artery, then dissolve the clot, but this doesn’t always happen. Clots can be caused by the following: •Smoking •Pollution/chemicals •Alcohol •Birth control pills •Stress •Surgery •Endurance sports •Refined starches •Infection •High blood sugar •Inflammation Excess calcium in the arteries can also trigger clotting, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke. Postmenopausal women who take large amounts of calcium are at a much greater risk for blood clots. Calcium is involved in over 15 different clotting factors. Vitamin K2 prevents calcium from building up in the soft tissues and arteries. It is found in dairy, butter, and other fatty foods. Always take vitamin D with vitamin K2. Magnesium is another important calcium regulator. It helps prevent calcium from entering the soft tissues, as well as arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation. Nitric oxide can reduce clotting. Vitamin D, L-arginine, and sunlight can increase nitric oxide to help prevent heart attack. Polyphenols, vitamin C, and omega-3 fatty acids all support heart health and may help reduce your risk of clotting. Keto and intermittent fasting can help reduce clotting by reducing inflammation in your arteries. Regular moderate exercise is vital in preventing clotting. Garlic and onion are also essential. Nattokinase, serrapeptase, and bromelain can be taken as supplements to prevent clotting. #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching!
Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) DONATE HERE: https://www.gofundme.com/f/p2h7j3-pla... Check out their website here: https://www.schooloflunch.com/ 0:00 Introduction: The ultra-processed diet in children 0:36 Welcome, Hilary Boynton 3:38 The benefits of a healthy diet for children 6:06 Hilary’s training program 9:41 Please donate to Hilary’s GoFundMe! --- Learn more about your ad choices. CRITICAL: Detoxify Your Brain from Microplastics
The brain accumulates the most microplastics out of all the organs in the body. Today, I’m going to tell you how to detox microplastics from the body to reduce the dangerous effects of microplastics on your health. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to detox microplastics from the body 0:20 Microplastics and forever chemicals 0:45 Plastic recycling 2:10 How to detox microplastics 3:36 More tips to reduce microplastics Did you know that the brain accumulates 7 to 30 times more microplastics than the liver and the kidneys? In this video, I’m going to tell you how to detox microplastics and forever chemicals that can wreak havoc on your health. Forever chemicals can bind with proteins in your blood, creating problems as they bioaccumulate in the body over time. One report found that the average person has 7 grams of plastic in their brain! Plastic recycling is a scam! Only 9% of plastic can actually be recycled, and the majority sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Scientists are working to develop microbes, fungi, and enzymes that can eat plastic, but until those are developed, there are only two things you can do to detoxify your body of microplastics. First, avoid plastic! High-quality deep sleep is vital to detox microplastics from the brain. Inducing autophagy can also detox microplastics. Fasting for at least 18 hours is one of the best ways to induce autophagy. Plastics and forever chemicals create oxidative stress in the body, which can be countered with strong antioxidant systems. Foods high in sulfur, such as garlic, onions, and cruciferous vegetables, can help strengthen your body’s antioxidant networks. NAC and milk thistle are great for detoxification. Try these tips to reduce microplastics: •Use a water filter •Eliminate plastic cutting boards •Avoid dishwasher pods •Switch to biodegradable coffee filters •Use sea salt from an ancient seabed •Choose natural tea bags without plastic •Avoid plastic baby bottles •Use a stainless steel water bottle •Use plastic-free sponges •Avoid canned food and liquids •Use bamboo toothbrushes •Avoid Teflon •Use glass Tupperware •Avoid plastic dental floss •Use 100% organic cotton tampons Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The #1 Most Dangerous Carb in the World
You could be consuming the world’s most dangerous carbohydrate without even realizing it. This hidden carb spikes your blood sugar, even more than actual sugar. Find out about the #1 most dangerous carb in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: The #1 most dangerous carb in the world 1:58 What is the worst carbohydrate? 2:20 What is starch? 5:20 Refined carbohydrates and chronic disease 6:08 Hidden sugar foods 8:31 Food vs. ultra-processed foods It’s no secret that ultra-processed carbs can take a serious toll on your health. Consuming this dangerous carbohydrate can have the following side effects: •Development of type 2 diabetes and a fatty liver •Insulin resistance •Visceral fat •Feeds pathogens in the gut •Inflammation •Increased LDL cholesterol Products containing this ingredient can be marketed as zero sugar, even though it quickly turns to sugar in the blood. It’s incredibly cheap, at about 20 cents per pound, and has no health benefits. It’s used as a filler, and the average person consumes between 60 and 250 pounds per year. You can find this ingredient in gluten-free foods, baby formulas, baked goods, and other refined foods. Surprisingly, many athletes also consume this product. The carb we’re talking about is industrial starch, such as modified food starch, corn starch, and maltodextrin. Starch is a string of glucose molecules. When a starch is modified in a lab, its bonds become very weak and fragile, causing it to turn into sugar very quickly in the body. Industrial starches are processed with chemicals such as sodium trimetaphosphate, vinyl acetate, bleach, and octenyl succinic anhydride. These chemicals are considered GRAS (generally recognized as safe), but they are self-regulated. Industrial starches are directly responsible for the complications associated with type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, brain plaquing, and fibrosis of the liver. People rarely consume starch alone. Most junk foods are composed of starches, seed oils, and sugar. Consuming starch with seed oils is a deadly combination! Hidden sugars are also consumed in much higher quantities than actual sugar. Food is defined as “that which is eaten to sustain life, to promote the growth and repair of tissues.” By this definition, starch is not food! Doctors Missed This for Decades: The Real Root of Chronic Illness
Could the root cause of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension really be the same? In this video, I’ll show you how to prevent chronic illness by effectively addressing the root cause, rather than just the symptom. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) The right “prompt” to analyze your DNA report: If you were asking ChatGPT to analyze your DNA from an ancestral mismatch lens, a great prompt would be: “Based on my genetic report, identify which genes show adaptations to ancestral diets (hunter-gatherer, farming, natural). Then, explain how these same genes may create a mismatch with modern diets and environments. For each, show practical consequences and strategies to thrive today.” Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: The #1 root cause of chronic disease 0:20 Medicine ignores the root cause of health problems 1:23 What causes chronic disease? 4:45 Genetics and chronic disease 10:16 Tips for chronic disease prevention Medicine aims to label a disease and treat the symptoms with medication. Genetics plays a role in disease and immunity, but there’s more to it. Genetics can provide clues about potential health issues we may encounter if our diet and environment are not quite right. Try these chronic disease prevention tips to overcome genetic predispositions and address the root cause of your health problem: 1. Go outside for sun exposure within 60 minutes of waking up. 2. Today, we're going to talk about the most dangerous food you can eat and what makes it so dangerous. Factors that make this the worst food in the world for your health: 1. It combines starch and fat under high heat • This creates advanced glycation end products, which affect your eyes, brain, heart, and kidneys. 2. Hydrogenated oils • This contains trans fats, which affect your cells, harden your arteries, and may increase your risk for cancer. 3. Acrylamide • This is a neurotoxin that has been linked to Alzheimer's. 4. Sugar • Sugar can lead to many different health problems. This food may contain sugar, beet sugar, dextrose, or maltodextrin. All of these types of sugars are very dangerous. 5. Glyphosate • I believe glyphosate can potentially alter a person's microbiome and may lead to negative health effects. 6. Seed oils • These oils are very inflammatory. 7. Ketchup • Ketchup contains high fructose corn syrup, which can lead to fatty liver and insulin resistance. It also has corn syrup, modified corn starch (MSG), and soy oil. You probably guessed it—the most dangerous food in the world for your health is French fries. Let's talk about the real reason why you lost your butt and gained a belly: high cortisol. Excessive cortisol can break down the quadriceps and the gluteus maximus. Cortisol is a stress hormone and a survival hormone. It tends to keep your sugar levels available for quick energy. It can also rob amino acids from the quadriceps and the gluteus maximus to convert to glucose. The sugar is then converted to fat with the help of insulin. During this process, you can develop muscle atrophy. Muscle atrophy can look very similar to cellulite, but it's really a loss of muscle fiber. Top causes of high cortisol: • Prednisone • Menopause • High stress • A tumor • Birth control pills • Sarcopenia • Inactivity • Low back pain What you can do: 1. Talk to your doctor about a natural alternative to prednisone (adaptogens and vitamin D) 2. Reduce your stress (do physical work or exercise and avoid overtraining) 3. Do the keto diet and intermittent fasting 4. Get plenty of key nutrients (potassium, magnesium, and vitamin B1) 5. Get plenty of sleep 6. The #1 Anti-aging Hack
Are you aging too fast? Too much iron can cause premature aging both inside and outside the body. Find out how to slow down aging and reduce oxidative stress by eliminating excess iron. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Iron and aging 0:44 Side effects of excess iron 1:40 Too much iron and disease 3:43 What causes iron-deficiency anemia? 5:00 Increasing your antioxidant reserve DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... People with iron-deficiency anemia often have dysfunctional iron, which means it’s unavailable to the red blood cells. This could be why we are not seeing a decrease in anemia even though we've increased iron in the food supply. Iron overload may increase your risk for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, cancer, heart disease, and more. Excess iron causes oxidative stress and increases inflammation. As we age, we naturally accumulate more iron. Around 70% of our iron is stored in protein in the blood that helps carry oxygen. Ferritin should be inside your tissues to protect you from free iron and control when iron is released. This very efficient system recycles iron in the body. Certain pathogens, microbes, and infections use iron as fuel. This is why the body protects free iron. Some people feel better after donating blood, indicating they have too much iron. Too much iron without enough copper is a big problem. If you think you have this problem, limit iron exposure before taking a copper supplement. Iron is found in enriched flours, grains, and refined carbohydrate products. Shellfish, organ meats, sunflower seeds, and dark chocolate are good sources of copper. To combat oxidative damage caused by iron and other factors like alcohol, smoking, pollution, and junk foods, you’ll want to build up your antioxidant reserve. Glutamine found in red meat is vital, but protein is the most important! It’s especially important to consume enough protein as you get older. Zinc, manganese, magnesium, and selenium can increase antioxidant networks to help you regulate excess iron. Quercetin, curcumin, black tea, and increasing melatonin are also very beneficial. Lactoferrin is the most powerful chelator for iron. It’s found naturally in dairy and can be taken as a supplement. INSTANT Plantar Fasciitis Fix
Have you tried everything to fix your plantar fasciitis, but you’re still experiencing foot pain? In this video, I’ll show you how to fix plantar fasciitis with one simple plantar fasciitis stretch. Find out how to get foot pain relief at home! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to fix plantar fasciitis 0:35 Plantar fasciitis pain 0:51 Plantar fasciitis stretches 1:43 Low-carb diet for plantar fasciitis pain 1:57 The best plantar fasciitis remedy 5:03 Plantar fasciitis pain relief testimonials Videos on Healthy Keto and Intermittent Fasting: ▶️ • Dr. Berg's Healthy Keto® Diet Plan - Inter... ▶️ • Dr. Berg's Guide to Healthy Keto® Eating: ... If the bottom of your foot is inflamed, you don't want to stretch it! Stretching the calf or massaging the bottom of the foot can make plantar fasciitis pain worse. Before you perform this plantar fasciitis stretch, rate your pain on a scale of 1 to 10 when putting pressure on your foot. To perform the stretch, sit down and bend your toes downward. This shouldn’t hurt! This exercise stretches the opposite muscles and fascia. After performing this stretch, rerate your foot pain. Another surprising solution for plantar fasciitis is a low-carb diet combined with intermittent fasting. Inflammation that can cause plantar fasciitis occurs when your carbs are too high. The root cause of plantar fasciitis is too much calcium. Magnesium controls calcium in the body and can get rid of excess calcium. Cramps and plantar fasciitis are common signs of a magnesium deficiency. Try taking 400 mg of magnesium glycinate each day to combat plantar fasciitis. Vitamin D helps with many calcium-related issues and has potent anti-inflammatory effects. Consider taking 20,000 IU of vitamin D daily for plantar fasciitis pain. Magnesium won’t work well without vitamin D and vice versa. If you take too much vitamin D without magnesium, you’ll end up with a magnesium deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency can contribute to plantar fasciitis, but you may also notice other problems, such as lower back pain, decreased immune function, and muscle achiness. Always take vitamin D with vitamin K2, which helps remove calcium from the soft tissues. Do these plantar fasciitis stretches several times daily until your foot and heel pain goes away. Vitamin D, K2, and magnesium combined with keto and intermittent fasting may significantly reduce plantar fasciitis pain in the long term. --- Learn more about your ad choices. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!
What would happen to your body if you were put on 48 different medications? This is the average number of medications a person takes in an assisted living home in the United States. Hal Cranmer, owner of A Paradise for Parents, and Claud Covaci, CEO of Synkwise, weigh in on the true cost of healthcare. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Welcome, Hal Cranmer and Claud Covaci! 2:00 Hal’s protocol in his assisted living homes 3:48 Dementia in assisted living homes 6:13 The truth about medication vs. food 7:22 Healthcare encourages medication 8:54 Raising awareness 11:15 What do you think about this problem? DATA: https://aparadiseforparents.com/ Please join me in welcoming Hal Cranmer and Claud Covaci! Claud is the CEO of a software company that manages the medications people take in assisted living homes. In a sampling of 100 residents, the average resident is on 48 medications. Some residents were even taking up to 91 medications! This isn’t healthcare. In Hal’s assisted living homes, he implements programs to help people get off their medications. Many of his residents have seen a 50% decrease in medication usage. Hal focuses on diet and doesn't serve ultra-processed foods in his facilities. Dementia is the top problem in assisted living homes and is extremely expensive, costing an average of $800,000 to $1.5 million per person. Hal explains that dementia starts in your 30s and 40s, so it’s a very difficult condition to reverse. Under Hal’s protocol, he has seen improvement, even in people with dementia. The US healthcare system is focused on medicine, not food, but food is the most significant contributor to your health! Medications treat the side effects of junk food consumption, and the side effects of medications are then treated with more medication. The ultimate goal should be to decrease medications, get people off them, and hopefully help them regain independence. The current healthcare model does not support these goals. One record for a single patient shows they’re on medication for high blood pressure, cholesterol, tremors, blood clots, stool softeners, antidepressants, seizures, insulin, schizophrenia, runny nose, nausea, prostate enlargement, and more. This is insane! Failing to address the diet before prescribing these medications misses the root cause of the problems. Today I want to share some new interesting information on how to put diabetes in remission. If you fix insulin resistance, you can fix your type 2 diabetes. But, if you have a fatty liver, you can't get rid of insulin resistance. If you have insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, or diabetes, you need to focus on removing fat from your liver. You can develop insulin resistance with less than two percent of the liver being fatty. The good news is that the brain and body love to run on ketones instead of glucose for fuel. It’s crucial to start running your body on ketones to fix insulin resistance and other health concerns. When you decrease your blood glucose, the body starts using ketones. Within six days of running the body on ketones, you can significantly improve the effects of insulin resistance in your liver. The ketogenic diet has been shown to decrease 50 percent of the fat in a person’s liver within two weeks. Key things to start doing right now: 1. Get on the ketogenic diet 2. Consume a moderate amount of protein 3. Consume apple cider vinegar (one to two tablespoons in water) 4. Let your appetite dictate when you eat (eat less frequently) 5. The Forgotten Hormone
Progesterone is often associated with women, but what about progesterone in men? A hormonal imbalance caused by low progesterone can be just as problematic for men as it is for women. Find out about the importance of progesterone for men in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Progesterone in men 0:15 Progesterone benefits 1:37 What causes low progesterone levels? 2:22 Pregnenolone 3:00 Cofactors for pregnenolone 3:54 Factors contributing to hormonal imbalance 6:00 Vitamin D and hormone balance 6:45 How to boost testosterone In this video, we’re going to talk about progesterone in men. Progesterone is a precursor for testosterone and helps maintain healthy testosterone levels. Potential progesterone benefits for men include the following: •Anti-inflammatory •Decreases inflammation in the brain •Increases neurogenesis •Protects against dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's •Anti-depressant effects •Helps increase the production of sperm •Helps maintain muscle mass •Supports the immune system •Prevents the enlargement of the prostate •Helps reduce the risk of breast tissue in men Cholesterol is the raw material for all steroid hormones in the body. Statins block cholesterol and can inhibit your ability to make important hormones, leading to hormonal imbalance. Sardines, organ meats, fatty meat, and whole milk cheese are the best sources of cholesterol. Cholesterol is turned into pregnenolone, a “happy” hormone that helps increase other hormones. Pregnenolone is the precursor to progesterone. These 3 cofactors allow you to turn cholesterol into pregnenolone. 1. Magnesium Many people are deficient in magnesium. Increasing magnesium can often solve low testosterone. Avocados, leafy greens, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, or magnesium glycinate supplements are good sources of magnesium. 2. Zinc Zinc can increase testosterone levels. Shellfish, oysters, and red meat are the best sources of zinc. 3. Vitamin B3 Nutritional yeast supplements are the best source of niacin. Chronic stress, insulin, and endocrine disruptors can interfere with the biochemical pathways that support healthy hormone balance. Alcohol also decreases testosterone. Inflammation can negatively affect progesterone in men. Vitamin D can indirectly increase progesterone and testosterone by decreasing inflammation. You need at least 10,000 IU per day! If you have low progesterone or low testosterone, you’ll need around 20,000 IU per day. If you want to boost testosterone, you need to consume quality protein. Grass-fed red meat is the best source. High-intensity interval training and resistance training stimulate the body to make more testosterone. Avoid overtraining! --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

My Vitamin D Levels SUCKED for Decades

Did you know you could have normal blood vitamin D levels but still have a vitamin D deficiency? Vitamin D resistance interferes with vitamin D levels and vitamin D absorption. Genetic problems, Lyme disease, and certain infections downgrade the vitamin D receptor. A deficiency in zinc, magnesium, or vitamin K2 will inhibit vitamin D function in the body. High cortisol, darker skin, diabetes, obesity, and other health conditions will also affect vitamin D absorption. The RDA for vitamin D is only 600 IU when you actually need 8,895 IU every day! Research has shown that low vitamin D levels increase your risk for viral infections. People with tumors and cancer have been found to have low vitamin D. New research has shown the benefits of vitamin D for autoimmune conditions. Dr. Coimbra from Brazil has used high vitamin D levels to treat patients with autoimmune conditions, and the results have been amazing. Another doctor using high doses of vitamin D3 has over 900 video testimonials of improvement in people with autoimmune diseases. One eye doctor in Germany wrote a book about using high doses of vitamin D3 for glaucoma and other eye-related problems. “The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics 4th Edition” addressed vitamin D resistance and vitamin D dosage of 50,000 IU to up to 500,000 IU! Vitamin D allows you to absorb more calcium, so when you take high doses of vitamin D, make sure you’re not consuming calcium supplements. Take vitamin D with magnesium because it helps regulate calcium. When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Today I’m going to share the best way to grow strong, healthy eyelashes. I’m also going to explain why you could be losing eyelashes. There are tiny mites that live among our friendly bacteria. These mites are neutral—they don’t help us or hurt us. However, an overgrowth of these mites can cause problems. An overgrowth of mites within your eyelashes can cause your eyelashes to fall out. If they overgrow on your skin, they may cause rosacea. These mites are also known to cause alopecia in certain cases. The top medications that are given to people who lose their eyelashes actually kill these mites. However, there are natural alternatives that are antimicrobial and may be beneficial. The best natural remedy to stop the loss of eyelashes and support the growth of eyelashes is a combination of tea tree oil and castor oil. Be very careful not to get these oils in your eyes because they can cause eye irritation. To try this natural remedy for eyelashes: 1. Mix two drops of tea tree oil into one tablespoon of castor oil. 2. Use a cotton swap or Q-tip to very carefully apply a tiny amount to the roots of the upper eyelashes before bed. 3. In this video, I’ll show you how to stimulate stem cells naturally with 7 safe stem cell therapy alternatives. A stem cell is a reserve cell that can become any cell you need. Stem cell research has shown positive results for people with fibrosis of the heart, liver fibrosis, and damaged brain cells. Stem cells can also be beneficial for the following: •Stimulating new cartilage in the joints •Autoimmune conditions •Rejuvenating skin cells •Cancer Here's how to keep your stem cell population at the highest level. 1. Fasting Prolonged fasting can boost stem cells naturally. If you can fast for 72 hours, you can boost stem cell production primarily for the gastrointestinal tract, brain, and immune system. 2. Exercise Intense exercise is the best way to boost stem cells for your muscles and brain. Exercise also stimulates BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), which allows you to make new nerve and brain cells. 3. Deep sleep Sleep increases melatonin, which stimulates stem cell regeneration in your brain. Sleep also increases immune and cardiovascular stem cells. 4. Green tea Green tea contains the phytonutrient EGCG, which has potent anti-inflammatory properties and can increase stem cells for your brain and liver. 5. Omega-3 fatty acids Decreasing inflammation can boost stem cell production. Omega-3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and can increase stem cells for your bones, cartilage, brain, and skin. 6. Vitamin D Vitamin D and the sun help maintain blood stem cells that are involved with the immune system. Vitamin D increases new immune cells, prevents the exhaustion of stem cells, and can even increase longevity. 7. Cold therapy The cold stimulates brown fat stem cells, which support muscle repair and the mitochondria, decrease inflammation, and increase blood flow. Barriers to stem cell production include: •Inflammation •Stress •Lack of sleep •Junk food •Alcohol •Smoking •Pollution Our normal cells have at least 50 genes that help cope with dehydration. Cancer cells have none of these genes. This is why dry fasting may be destructive to cancer cells. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ashwagandha: The Adaptogen on Steroids
Lower cortisol naturally with ashwagandha, the powerful adaptogen for anxiety and stress. In this video, we’ll discuss the health benefits of ashwagandha, the ultimate adaptogen. Find out how to use ashwagandha for better sleep, stress relief, mental clarity, and more! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Ashwagandha benefits 1:06 How ashwagandha works 1:48 Ashwagandha review compared to other herbal remedies 3:42 How ashwagandha can lower cortisol naturally 4:03 More health benefits of ashwagandha 5:49 How to take ashwagandha Ashwagandha is a potent adaptogen that helps you adapt to stress. It’s a cortisol modulator, so if your cortisol levels are too high or too low, ashwagandha can help bring them to normal levels. Ashwagandha benefits include the following: •Helps lower cortisol naturally •Supports sleep •Improves exercise endurance •Anti-inflammatory •Boosts testosterone •Protects the brain against stress •Supports hormones, including the thyroid hormone •Anti-cancer properties Siberian ginseng is beneficial for mood and physical endurance but does not compare to ashwagandha’s hormone-balancing effects. Panax ginseng is also helpful for exercise endurance and cognitive function, but ashwagandha is better at dealing with stress-related anxiety, especially when dealing with a chronic problem. Rhodiola is good for stamina and is a natural energy booster, but doesn’t reduce stress or anxiety. Holy basil helps calm the body and improves sleep, but ashwagandha has more benefits. Matcha root improves energy and sexual function, but ashwagandha has these benefits plus more stress-reducing benefits. Reishi mushrooms improve cognitive and immune function and also provide a calming effect, but unlike ashwagandha, they don’t affect cortisol. Ashwagandha has a comprehensive cortisol regulation effect and can help people with chronic cortisol stimulation and the problems associated with it. Ashwagandha is best taken in the evening with your last meal. It’s also beneficial to cycle your ashwagandha use. Try using it for 6 weeks at a time, followed by a 2-week break. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)
What happens when you fast for 5 days? Will you starve? Find out about the benefits of prolonged fasting and how it can be one of the most powerful things you can do for your health. Discover expert tips to make the most of your 5-day fast! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Fasting benefits 0:49 How prolonged fasting works 2:32 Prolonged fasting tips 4:52 Autophagy explained 5:44 Day 3 of a 5-day fast 10:47 Day 4 of a 5-day fast 13:35 Refeeding 14:50 5-day fast benefits Discover 25 ways to induce autophagy with this free resource: https://drbrg.co/45VOz3B Learn the basics on intermittent fasting with this FREE mini course: https://drbrg.co/47si1Ag Refuel your body the right way with this comprehensive list of nutrient-dense foods: https://drbrg.co/4oyfdHV On day 1 of fasting, glycogen is eliminated from the body. Your insulin drops on your first day of fasting, allowing you to tap into your fat reserve. Electrolytes, trace minerals, and B vitamins can be very beneficial during prolonged fasting, especially if you haven’t built up a reserve of these nutrients. You can drink tea and coffee without cream or sugar and have water with lemon during your 5-day fast. Plenty of sun, long walks in nature, hot and cold therapy, and HIIT can also enhance the benefits of prolonged fasting. On day 2 of prolonged fasting, you get deeper into ketosis, which means your body burns fat for energy. Autophagy typically begins on the second day of prolonged fasting. This is the process in which the body recycles damaged proteins and uses them for fuel and new tissues. On day 3, brain function and mood continue to improve. BDNF is stimulated, which helps support brain cell regeneration and increases your learning capacity. You also enter a state of deep autophagy, which helps repair mitochondrial damage and clean up intracellular pathogens. On day 3 of a prolonged fast, your immune system essentially resets. Prolonged fasting supports the growth of the thymus gland and allows the gut lining to regenerate completely. People often experience a massive spike in growth hormone on day 3, which protects against muscle loss. On day 4, hunger is gone, and maximum fat burning occurs! Bone broth can be beneficial if you’re struggling through a 5-day fast or experiencing a stressful event. Longevity and protective genes are heightened, and your antioxidant networks are strengthened during prolonged fasting. It can also help diversify your microbiome. Slowly begin the refeeding process with around ¼ of your typical calories. Try an egg with sauerkraut, and then wait a few hours before consuming something like a small amount of soup with avocado. After a few more hours, consume berries and nuts. Wait before introducing a full meal and avoid sugar and carbohydrates. High-quality food is vital at this time! After a 5-day fast, your skin, muscles, joints, and brain will show significant improvements! Regular intermittent fasting can help prepare you for a 5-day fast. It turns out that the food most people crave has some interesting benefits. Find out more! 0:00 Introduction: What is the most common craving in the world? 0:38 What this food does 2:20 The most common craving in the world 3:14 Is dark chocolate healthy? 4:30 What you need to know when you consume chocolate 5:30 Check out my video on sugar! Let’s talk about the most common craving in the world: chocolate. Potential benefits of chocolate: • It helps increase energy • It may provide cognitive improvements (clarity, concentration, focus) • It can help improve your mood and decrease stress • It makes insulin more sensitive and may help improve insulin resistance • It contains magnesium • It may help reduce coughing • It may help reduce blood pressure I’m not opposed to consuming chocolate as long as it’s keto-friendly. If you consume chocolate that contains sugar, the sugar can counter the positive effects of chocolate. Because chocolate contains certain stimulants, you may also want to avoid consuming it later in the day. Dark chocolate has the least amount of sugar and the most concentrated phytonutrients. Chocolate is also fermented, and much of the flavor actually comes from the help of microbes. When you consume chocolate, make sure: 1. It’s keto-friendly (it contains an alternative sweetener, like xylitol, monk fruit, stevia, erythritol, or allulose—not sugar, honey, or coconut sugar) 2. It doesn’t contain soluble corn fiber 3. It doesn’t contain tapioca fiber 4.
