Trish Walraven is a dental hygienist, blogger, and software designer. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas Woman's University, she spent almost 25 years practicing full-time clinical hygiene, including 5 years in the private practice of the Dallas County chief forensic odontologist, and 17 years in the office of Dr. David Rossen of The Colony, Texas, which was featured in a Dental Town office visit a few years ago. Marc Novak graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2018 and is now a practicing dentist between two practices in Northern New Jersey. While applying to schools his undergraduate research advisor convinced him to continue his work and stay for a Master's degree. His research project focused on increasing the chemical stability of proteins that could be used for functional purposes. He published several peer reviewed journal articles pertaining to the increased functional stability of Glucose Oxidase, acting as the building blocks to a biocompatible glucose sensor that has the potential to send electrical Bluetooth signals through an app to register live blood-glucose readings and limit the pain and annoyance of patient's using drops of blood from their fingers. Dr. Karim ElMofty is a practicing dentist in Egypt where he was born and raised and graduated from Dental school, Cairo University in 2009. He is interested in Egyptian history, etymology, farming and open sea fishing. He believes that the scientific fields behind oral health promotion has matured, giving rise to a range of services to complement dental treatment everywhere. He moved to Canada with his wonderful wife and baby daughter and they currently live in Burlington, Ontario. So, his interests now in summer became touring parks, splash pads and Canada's beautiful nature and in winter touring indoor play areas. His clinical training focused on Pediatric Dentistry while his master's degree research work in Dental Public Health was testing different oral health education methods. He had brief trainings in China and California and was part of the team who broke the Guinness WR for the largest oral health promotion session in 2015. He started KnowDental in Egypt and travelled around Egypt's deserts, countryside and metropoles reaching as many people as he can with his team of KnowDental Ambassadors. He recently started KnowDental in Canada and is restructuring it to better serve his new community while working to obtain his license to Practice Dentistry. A native Lexingtonian, Dr. William E. Lee graduated from Henry Clay High School in 1973, Vanderbilt University in 1977, and the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1981. He started a private dental practice with his wife, Dr. Janet Faraci Lee in 1984 and then merged practices with Dr. John Thompson in 1990. Very active in organized dentistry, Dr. Lee is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the Blue Grass Dental Society. He is honored to be a fellow in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Having served many roles in organized dentistry, Dr. Lee is currently the President of the Kentucky Dental Association and a delegate of the American Dental Association. He has also served on many boards for organizations in the Lexington area mostly associated with his children's activities. An avid learner, Dr. Lee attends numerous continuing education courses throughout the year.

Hernan Varas is a Clinical and Practice Development Executive for Arrowhead Dental Laboratory and the Dr. Dick Barnes Group. He has been in the dental industry for over 30 years. Originally from Chile, Hernan moved to Utah to attend Westminster College in Salt Lake City for a bachelor's degree. After completing his degree in marketing and communications, Hernan continued his studies at Westminster and received a Master's in Business Administration, with an emphasis in international management. Since working at Arrowhead, Hernan has visited and worked with hundreds of dental practices alongside Dr. Dick Barnes—including every state in the contiguous United States. From 1990 to 2003, Dr. VanArsdall practiced dentistry with her father in Carlisle Kentucky. In 2003, she became a full time faculty member at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine teaching anatomy to medical, dental and nursing students. In 2009, she became full time faculty in the College of Dentistry eventually becoming a Professor and Academic Dean. In 2016, she stepped away from academics. She moved in with her mom and dad and took care of her father while he was dying of cancer. This was a pivotal point in her life. After he died, she was determined to find ways to avoid cancer. Pam has a Masters in Public Health and she already knew to avoid tobacco and to not drink excessively but she wanted to see if scientific evidence could offer anything more. She used the research skills she learned as a professor and dug into the research on ways to prevent cancer from lifestyle, and she found an avalanche of information on foods that fight cancer. It is now her passion to share this information with others. This has led her to become a certified health coach through the Wellcoaches School of Coaching, to become certified in Professional Plant Based Culinary Arts and to begin speaking at events and conferences on what she has learned about "Foods that Fight Cancer."

Dr. Jacobi graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1975. After running a successful solo general practice for 36 years, he transitioned to a different type of dentistry. Over the last eight years, he has made 15 trips to areas in the U.S. and 13 countries in Central and South America, the Caribbean, India, Africa and the Philippines. He has traveled with the U. S. Navy, as well as with civilian, university and non-government organizations. In addition, he serves as a mentor to the Pre-Dental Society at the University of Louisville and has taken many students to Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinics in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia, as well as to Louisville Dental Society community clinics. Dr. Jacobi also serves as the volunteer Director of Manufacturing and Technology Development at WaterStep, a Louisville-based nonprofit that responds to critical needs for safe water and infection prevention in developing countries and disaster situations by evaluating and implementing simple solutions and teaching people to use those tools. He has helped build water treatment systems in Central and South America, India, Africa, the Upper Amazon and Puerto Rico. Dr Jacobi lives in Louisville, Kentucky, is a Life Member of the ADA, and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Depp was born in Lakeland, Florida and developed a surprising interest in dentistry at the age of five. Her delight in driving two hours to Jacksonville every six months for her check-up's led to a life-long interest in helping people achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. As a PK (preacher's kid), she moved around as a child, eventually landing in Owensboro, KY where she spent most of her youth. She attended undergrad at Georgetown College, where she met her future husband, Rob. She attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Depp graduated in the top 10% of her class in 1993. Her early commitment to dental health came to life in her founding of the Delta Dental Oral Cancer Screening Program at the Kentucky State Fair, which currently screens thousands of fair-goers for this serious disease. This program has been in existence for 25 years now and is a legacy she is very proud of. She continued her education with a general practice residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center where she cared for emergency and indigent patients across Central and Eastern Kentucky. Dr. Depp moved to Northern Kentucky in 1994 to join a practice as an associate dentist where she developed an affinity for the Greater Cincinnati area. She started her own practice in 2001 to provide her patients with the dual benefit of general dentistry for healthy smiles as well as aesthetic dentistry to provide cutting-edge smile design. Dr. Depp is active in the state dental organization, serving as President of the Kentucky Dental Association, a past president of the Northern Kentucky Dental Association and member of the Kentucky Dental Association Executive Board. Todd Hanna is a double board certified, dual-degree (MD, DDS) Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeon. Dr. Mario Romero is an Associate Professor and Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University; he is a 1995 graduate from the University of Guayaquil School of Dentistry in his native country of Ecuador. He maintained a private practice with emphasis in Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry for 15 years prior to joining AU in 2013.
