Multi-disciplinary collective YOURS return to Defected with ‘LOVE MIGHT MAKE ME BETTER’, their fourth original single with the London label. British icon, DJ and producer IDRIS returns to Defected with club belter ‘Go Deeper’, in collaboration with burgeoning South African talent Una Rams. Continuing a string of releases on the London label in 2024, including his Together series remix of Fish Go Deep’s iconic club anthem ‘The Cure & The Cause’ and infectious original ‘La Trumpeta’, Idris Elba’s house sound is currently dominating the club scene. The record continues to inspire dancefloors today, now receiving an update from acclaimed DJ, producer and longstanding friend of Defected, Larse. House icon Jack Back returns to Defected alongside CeCe Rogers for ‘Freedom 2024’, a fresh take on the record reworked for today’s dancefloors. One of the industry’s A-list names, David Guetta releases under his Jack Back alias as a reminder of his authentic house roots, partnering with Defected on many occasions since his chart-topping label debut ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’ in 2018. In 2024 the producer has already released twice on the label’s Together series - first remixing Dennis Ferrer’s legendary ‘Hey Hey’ then collaborating with South African house pioneer THEMBA for ‘Give Me Something To Hold’ – and now he returns to revamp one of his notable releases in Defected’s catalogue, ‘Freedom’. A DJ, producer and music mogul who has defined the sound of the underground for well over ten years, Nick Curly returns to Defected with the effortlessly modern ‘You’. The producer and vocalist team of Sam Divine and Josh Barry return to Defected once more with ‘Saved By The Record’. The collaboration follows 2023’s ‘Take My Hand’ which saw the pair quickly establish a rewarding working relationship and friendship, resulting in a dancefloor-ready track with striking vocals that dominated the summer and saw major radio play across BBC Radio 1, KISS FM, and Sirius XM in the US.
