To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Defected Records presents a series of extra special collaborative releases Together. For the second in the series, Defected enlists bona fide house legends Masters At Work to remix one of the label’s breaking talents YOURS, as Louie Vega and Kenny Dope revisit ‘DÓNDE ESTÁ’ by the collective. The duo behind some of house music’s most influential cuts, ranging from cross-over classics to underground staples, Masters At Work’s pioneering effect on club culture both sides of the Atlantic is indisputable. With the Latin feel of ‘DÓNDE ESTÁ’ appealing to the Nuyorican duo, they now deliver three stellar versions in true MAW fashion, across the Straight Beat, Rowdy Remix and Disco Dub.

With Sam Divine, one of Defected’s longest-running residents, radio show host and continual star of the label’s roster, Hannah Wants who is a firm favourite of Defected shows across the globe with a string of recent hits on the label, and Jem Cooke, one of house’s most in demand vocalists and songwriters, this dynamic trio deliver an unmissable launch single. Wolfram & Josh Ludlow’s Defected club hit ‘YoYo Disco’ receives a remix from international electronic favourite Purple Disco Machine. The eccentric original received support from top artists, including Parisian French touch expert Chloe Caillet on BBC Radio 1, Majestic on KISS FM, the Keinemusik crew and now Purple Disco Machine. The German connoisseur of all things house, deep funk and disco is a Grammy award-winning master remixer, adding his touch to tracks from A-listers like Elton John and Kylie Minogue to global tastemakers Fatboy Slim and Gorillaz to mention a small few. His signature sound is recognised globally thanks to his undeniable presence at major clubs as well as multi-platinum streaming and radio hits like ‘Hypnotized’ and ‘Fireworks’ from his critically acclaimed 2021 album ‘Exotica’ and ‘Substitution’. One of house’s most sought-after selectors, the prolific Darius Syrossian returns to Defected alongside US vocalist Jena for ‘E-Soul’. Grammy-nominated and internationally acclaimed producer Nic Fanciulli returns to Defected with ‘Vente’ in collaboration with Miami natives Calussa. The globally revered producer and Saved Records boss is no stranger to Defected success, with summertime anthem ‘I Want You’ with Butch and his edit of A’Studio’s ‘S.O.S’ garnering acclaim from house fans and choice selectors alike. Pioneering producers Bob Sinclar, A-Trak and Melé join forces for a reimagining of the 2022 Defected release ‘Deep Inside Of Me’. Chris Le Friant AKA Bob Sinclar previously collaborated with Grammy-nominated Canadian producer and one half of Duck Sauce, A-Trak, for ‘Deep Inside Of Me’ last year - now British house innovator and choice selector Melé joins the fold to give the production a modern twist. Together the three artists have been at the forefront of various electronic scenes over three decades, producing some of the finest house tracks in every DJs record box: Sinclar rose to prominence in the late 90’s, A-Trak in the late noughties, and Melé within the last decade. An international and generational collaboration, ‘Deep Inside Of Me’ begins with DIY timbres and complex patterns looped to create a sonic lesson in polyrhythms – what follows is a synth pad bridge that cushions the fall from the percussive drops of before; the combined talents of the acclaimed producers come together in a blissful haze before the almighty climax crashes down.
