Her family says she was upset and going through a rough patch. The movement of her phone has been tracked but not found. Her family is still hopeful. Dr. John and Susan Hamilton were a well-known and socially prominent couple in Oklahoma. Even though they had been married for nearly 15 years, romance seemed to surround the couple. On Valentine's Day, Dr. John Hamilton is late for surgery, saying he had been delayed while buying his wife a gift. Before heading from the hospital to his practice, Hamilton calls one of his employees to let the practice know he’d be a few more minutes. He planned to stop by his house to pick up his appointment book. The home was only six or seven minutes from the hospital. At 11:05 am, 911 gets a call from Hamilton. The family of 21-year-old Allison Rice lays the college student to rest today. Rice was found shot dead in her car, just three miles from campus. The LSU student was stopped at a railroad crossing for a train when witnesses say the killer or killers walked up to Rice's car and started shooting. Police say she may have been in the middle of turning around when the shots were fired. Police also say there’s no sign anything was stolen from Rice's car. No suspect has been named. The man accused of kidnapping and killing 18-year-old Naomi Irion will stand trial. Troy Drive has been found competent to face charges. Driver is accused of abducting Irion from a Walmart parking lot. Police find the body of missing teen Naomi Irion after receiving a tip that leds them to her gravesite. 18-year-old Naomi Irion was last seen on security footage, sitting in her vehicle while waiting for the shuttle she takes to work at Panasonic in the Reno-Sparks area. The footage also shows a man walking from the direction of a homeless camp and lurking among the parked vehicles. Naomi’s brother, Casey Valley, says that security footage seemed to show the suspect saying or doing something that made Naomi move from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat. Irion was in the passenger’s seat as the man drove away. Investigators later found Naomi’s blue 1992 Mercury Sable at the Fernley industrial park. An autopsy revealed Irion was shot multiple times. Driver faces six charges in addition to first-degree murder, including sexual assault, robbery and destroying evidence. For 12 years, Emmy award-winning actress, Eva La Rue lived in fear of an unknown stalker. The actress received hundreds of letters addressed to her and later, her daughter, that detailed threats of rape, murder, dismemberment, and more. The stalker signed the letters as "Freddie Kruger," the fictional serial killer. LaRue and her family moved several times, even out of the country, in the hopes that the stalker would not be able to find them, but the letters seemed to resume mere days or weeks after each move. The stalker even called Kaya's school, posing as her father, in an attempt to kidnap her. Investigators identified DNA on the letters and cross-referenced that material with DNA information from commercial genealogy providers to identify relatives of the stalker. FBI agents were able to narrow down their suspect to 58-year-old James David Rogers, and a DNA sample collected from a discarded straw confirmed he was the stalker. Rogers was sentenced to 40 months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of mailing threatening communications, one count of threats by interstate communications, and two counts of stalking. Mason Herring splits with his wife due to his cheating, but the couple attends counseling to work on their relationship. During a session, Herring's wife reveals she is pregnant with their third child, which Herring is not happy to hear. He has plans to leave his wife for his mistress and now fears appearing to be a "jerk" for leaving his pregnant wife. So, he tries to slip an abortion-inducing drug into his wife's drinks. First, Herring brings his wife a glass of water and insists that she drink it to "stay hydrated." She becomes violently ill, ending up in the hospital for her symptoms. The woman becomes suspicious of Herring and begins keeping the drinks he offers her, like orange and cranberry juice, as evidence instead of drinking it. Herring's wife then installs surveillance cameras to catch Herring in the act and searches through the trash, discovering a prescription for Cyrux, a medication that contains Misoprostol — a drug that induces abortions. Two days later, the woman catches Herring on video dumping a powder into a glass of water for her. She calls police, who arrest Herring for assaulting a pregnant person and assault-force induction to have an abortion. A single father and his 2-year-old daughter are left with nothing after Dad's new girlfriend burns their Texas home down. Tommy Garay has been in a relationship with Senaida Soto for about a month when Soto calls Garay, and a woman picks up the phone. The woman is Garay's cousin, but Soto believes Garay is cheating. Soto goes to Garay's home in the middle of the night, breaks in and steals several items, then sets the house on fire. Soto then FaceTimes Garay to show him burning furniture in the home and says, "I hope your stuff is going to be okay," before hanging up. The home is devastated by the fire, but thankfully no one is injured. Soto is charged with burglary and arson and is now held on a $165,000 bond. Austin Lee Edwards poses as a 17-year-old boy to talk online with a 15-year-old girl. He then drives across the country to her Riverside home when she stops responding. Edwards parks in a neighbor's driveway and goes inside the Winek home. Edwards kills the girl's mother and grandparents, sets the home on fire, and leaves with the girl. A neighbor calls police after noticing Edwards leading the girl, who "appeared distressed," into his car. Another neighbor also calls 911 after seeing flames coming from the home. When police arrive, Edwards and the girl are gone. Brooke, Sherie, and Mark Winek's bodies are found inside the home; Brooke Winek's other daughter is not home. Police get Edward's license plate from cameras in Winek's neighborhood and track him into the Mojave Desert. A helicopter spots the car and cops pursue Edwards, who fires at the officers. Edwards turns the gun on himself and crashes the car. The girl was unharmed during the kidnapping and is now in protective custody. Shanquella Robinson, 25, died on October 29, one day into a girls' trip to Cabo with six friends. Police records, Robinson's death certificate, and the stories told by Robinson’s friends all give conflicting accounts of her death. The friends initially told Robinson's family she died from alcohol poisoning in the presence of a doctor, who had been on the scene for about three hours. But the death certificate said that she died from a severe neck injury about 15 minutes after receiving the injury. A video surfaced after Robinson’s death that appears to show one of Robinson's companions beating her. Robinson does not fight back, and in fact, a voice is heard on the video asking her to do so. Mexican authorities and the FBI are investigating the case, and Mexico issued an arrest warrant and extradition request for one of Robinson’s traveling companions. The U.S. Department of Justice and, ultimately, the Secretary of State will make a decision on whether the extradition will be allowed. No arrests have been made. Dr. Christopher Osborn is found and pronounced dead in his home in Dublin, Ohio on July 18th, 2018, just after 7:30 a.m. He had been shot in the head three times in his sleep. His wife, Holli Osborn, drunkenly calls her father to tell him that her husband is dead. Her father calls the police and shortly thereafter they arrive at the house. Legal battles are not over for Amber Heard. Johnny Depp was awarded $8.3 million dollars in court after a jury agreed that his former wife, Heard, defamed the 'Pirates of the Carribean" actor. Heard's insurer sued saying the actress' policy does not cover any of the $8.3 million because it doesn't cover "willful" misconduct. That is what the jury found Heard was liable for. Initially, a judge agreed saying the insurers do not have to cover any payouts. Now Heard is countersuing New York Marine and General Insurance Co. that it promised to pay her defense costs and judgments against her up to a million dollars, no matter what. An Atlanta teen is shot dead at a reported birthday party. Hundred of teens from high schools across Metro Atlanta attended. Police receive a call about a person shot and find the 15-year-old victim near the entrance, unresponsive. Investigators say an individual was removed from the party but returned with an accomplice. They fired multiple shots into the building. So far, no suspects have been named. Detectives are now sifting through eight hours of surveillance video from a Moscow gas. A clerk there spotted the now infamous white Hyundai Elantra that police identified as being seen near the home where four University of Idaho students were stabbed. An overnight assistant manager from the station told Fox News Digital that she's been reviewing the tapes over the past few days during her downtime on the graveyard shift. She recognized the white sedan passing by at 3:45 a.m. on the night of the murders. She said the car drove by "real quick" and turned down a side street off Highway 8. The clerk sent a photo of the car and video to an email address police set up to receive tips, and a few hours later, detectives gathered the footage. Aeris Hammock leaves her home on a Friday afternoon. As afternoon turns into evening, Charles and Leila Hammock set out to find their daughter. The family tracks Aeris' phone to a cul-de-sac. Once the car is found, things don't add up. Hammock's car was unlocked with the keys inside. Her ID and credit cards were in the car, and her phone was in the glove box. The parents then discover information on the phone for the last six months has been erased. Surveillance video shows Hammock wandering up and down the cul-de-sac and through a nearby alley. It's been more than a month since four University of Idaho students were found stabbed to death in off-campus housing. Families of the victims have complained that they are not being kept informed by Moscow Police. An Atlanta teen is shot dead at a reported birthday party. Hundred of teens from high schools across Metro Atlanta attended. Police receive a call about a person shot and find the 15-year-old victim near the entrance, unresponsive. Investigators say an individual was removed from the party but returned with an accomplice. They fired multiple shots into the building. So far, no suspects have been named. Steve Goncalves, the father of Idaho victim Kaylee Goncalves, says he is so frustrated by how his daughter's and the other murders have been handled that he is looking at hiring a private investigator. Police say Athena Strand was dead within an hour of her abduction. The 7-year-old was taken from her family home by a FedEx delivery driver. Authorities say a contract FedEx driver who was delivering a package to Strand’s home kidnapped the girl. Investigators say Strand got off a bus around 4:15 p.m. and was missing from the residence at some point before 5:15 p.m. after an argument with her stepmother. An hour-long search ensued, but when Strand could not be found, 911 was called. Dozens of law enforcement and hundreds of volunteers joined the search effort. Police received a tip about the FedEx Driver Tanner Horner. When approached by police, Horner confessed. Police have not said whether Strand was sexually assaulted. It's been over a year since Michael Vaughn vanished from his family home. Tips lead police to the home of a neighbor, Sarah Wondra. The 35-year-old was charged with failure to report the death of 5-year-old Vaughan. Police then spent more than a week excavating the home's backyard and announced their findings. FPD Chief JD Huff says police believe Vaughan's body was buried in Wondra's backyard and then moved to another location. All the cadaver dogs used in the search "alerted" in the yard. Ground penetrating radar also detected "anomalies." Additional evidence was found in the home, but that information is not yet being released. Huff also announced the identities of two other people thought to have knowledge in Vaughan's disappearance, Brandon Shurtliff, 30, and Adrien Lucienne, 32. Both men are now out of state. Idaho police taking a step back from their comments that the four University of Idaho students killed in their bedrooms, were targeted. Originally, comments were made by investigators that the public "will just have to trust us," that the evidence collected indicated that the students were the intended victims of the murders and that the public at large is safe. Now, in a released statement, the Moscow Police Department says these comments came from a miscommunication with the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office, and that "detectives do not currently know if the residence or any occupants were specifically targeted but continue to investigate."
