A North Carolina man has been charged after telling police he wanted to mutilate a woman and leave her body in the street. The suspect and his victim met at a gas station. The two exchanged numbers, then Hunter Nance invited the woman to his home. At the home, the woman claims Nance attacked her with a knife. She managed to escape. People in the community called 911, reporting a woman with bloody hands was walking down the road. The victim was able to direct the deputies back to Nance's home. Nance told police he chose the woman at random and wanted to kill her for the thrill. A Texas woman calls police and says she has been locked inside a trailer for four years. The unidentified victim said all the exits to the home were blocked. There were burglar bars on the windows and padlocks on the doors. Police unsuccessfully tried to use bolt cutters, but ultimately, the fire department had to use power tools to get the woman out. Investigators are looking for a prior connection between Bryan Kohberger and his four murder victims. Authorities submitted several search warrants to TikTok and Google, asking for user history dating to January 2021 for the three female victms, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20. The search is on in Ocklawaha, Florida for a killer. Three teen victims, reportedly friends, were found shot. The first victim, Layla Silvernail, was found in a dumpster. She was still alive but later died at the hospital. Hours after finding Silvernail, a 17-year-old boy was found dead, miles away. He had also been shot. The last victim, a 16-year-old girl, was found in Silvernail's vehicle, partially submerged in a pond. All three were shot. Felicia LoAlbo-Melendez, 11, was being bullied in school. On top of this, she had just lost her father to pancreatic cancer. By all appearances, the little girl was handling it all as best she could. Felicia told her mother, teacher, and the school administrator about the bullying that she and other students were subjected to. In fact, she wrote emails suggesting solutions to the school, like a "Trauma Club" where bullied kids would have a safe place to what was going on. No one replied. Felicia then reminded the adults that there were laws in place to protect the children and that the school was "breaking the laws" by not taking action. Felicia LoAlbo-Melendez was found by another student in a bathroom stall. Her death was ruled a suicide. Cohasset man Brian Walshe has been indicted for the murder of his wife, Ana Walshe, who vanished in early January after a New Year's Eve party. Prosecutors say the 48-year-old husband dismembered Ana Walshe and discarded her body in multiple trash cans in the area. Police have recovered blood-stained items from the home, including a hacksaw. Stephen Smith died mysteriously in 2015 in South Carolina. Though his death was initially ruled a hit-and-run, it has more recently gained attention following the 2021 murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh, which lead to the reopening of his case two years ago. The Murdaugh family was mentioned in the initial investigation, but no charges were filed. Smith was found dead with a large gash on his forehead, a partially dislocated shoulder, and cuts and bruises on his hand. Authorities initially thought Smith had been shot, but no bullet or fragments were found. In March 2023, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) officially ruled Smith's death as a homicide. A judge sentenced Aiden Fucci, now 16, to life in prison after his conviction of first-degree murder for stabbing a 13-year-old girl over 100 times. Fucci entered his guilty plea earlier this year. During the investigation surveillance photos show the mother of teen murder suspect Aiden Fucci washing his clothes the day Tristyn Bailey was murdered. Crystal Smith was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence in connection to the 14-year-old's death. The former classmates had grown up in the same neighborhood but it does not appear that Fucci targeted Bailey specifically, though friends later said Fucci claimed he would kill someone in the near future. Surveillance video appears to show the pair walking together early the morning of May 9. Fucci is later seen running, alone, from the same area. Shommaonique Wickerson goes to work, leaving her 6 children in the care of her 31-year-old cousin, Paris Propps. Hours later, Wickerson gets a call from Propps saying "your kids are missing." Three of the girls in his care have gone missing. The three sisters were then found dead in their neighbor’s private pond. Officials first reported the deaths as tragic drownings. As a Colorado dentist faces murder charges connected to the poisoning death of his wife, new information shows James Craig asked his church for help in cleaning his basement, while his wife lay dying in the hospital. Police say James Craig bought arsenic and cyanide and secretly poisoned his wife's protein shakes. Angela Craig had made many recent hospital visits, and checked into a hospital again, complaining of a severe headache and dizziness. At around 2 p.m. she had a seizure. Craig was then moved to ICU and placed on life support. Her condition quickly declined and she died. After Craig's death, one of James Craig's co-workers told a nurse that the dentist had ordered potassium cyanide which was delivered to the office. There was no medical reason for the order. Police seized the husband's computer and found disturbing searches. A female shooter shot through the glass doors of a church school to gain access to the building. After breaking the glass, the shooter crawled through the lower portion of the door. The 28-year-old transgender person is seen pacing the hallway, heavily armed, as alarms are blaring. Six people were killed; three 9-year-old students and three faculty members. Police storm the building, then exchanged fire with Audrey Hale. Hale was killed. A manifesto was recovered, as was a map of the school detailing camera locations and surveillance entry points. It's a "he said, she said" situation in court, during testimony in the lawsuit filed by a retired Utah Optometrist against actor and lifestyle influencer Gwyneth Paltrow. Terry Sanderson accuses Paltrow of crashing into him on a beginner ski slope, leaving him with brain damage and four broken ribs. Paltrow has countersued saying Sanderson caused the crash. Emergency services are called to a New York home after reports of an unresponsive 8-year-old boy. His father says he fell in the driveway. Medical technicians and cops are suspicious considering the boy's body temperature is just 76 degrees. Thomas Valva dies and his policeman father and the stepmother are charged. Investigators say the couple left him overnight in a cold garage. The outside temperature was 19 degrees. Former NYPD Officer Michael Valva was convicted in his son's death and sentenced to 25 years to life. Edward LeClair, aged 57, was on trial in Denton, Texas for five counts of sexual abuse. While being read his conviction, he chugged an entire bottle of water in the courtroom. LeClair was then transported to a holding cell and later when checked on by the bailiff was found unconscious. Angela Craig had made many recent hospital visits, and checked into a hospital again, complaining of a severe headache and dizziness. At around 2 p.m. she had a seizure. Craig was then moved to ICU and placed on life support. Her condition quickly declined and she died. After Craig's death, one of James Craig's co-workers told a nurse that the dentist had ordered potassium cyanide which was delivered to the office. There was no medical reason for the order. Police seized the husband's computer and found disturbing searches. It also came to light that James Craig had multiple affairs and a longstanding addiction to pornography, authorities said. It has taken eight years but teen Stephen Smith's death will finally be investigated as a homicide. The Smith family has never believed that the 19-year-old's death was a hit and run as determined by a previous investigation. In just a week, the South Carolina mom raised more money through a GoFundMe account than what is needed to pay for the exhumation of Smith's body. Now, all that's needed is court approval. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Chief Mark Keel notified Smith's attorneys that the agency now officially considers Smith's death a murder. Smith's body was found miles away from his car and lying in the middle of the road. At first, responders thought he had been shot in the head, but the death was designated as a hit-and-run. Attorneys Ben Crump and Sue-Ann Robinson have sent a letter to President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken calling for the White House to take action in Robinson's death. The attorneys, on behalf of mother Salamandra Robinson, encourage the U.S. to extradite Shanquella's killer to Mexico or the U.S. takes jurisdiction of the case. An FBI investigation is underway. Shanquilla Robinson traveled from North Carolina to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with friends. It is one of those friends who stand accused in Robinson's death. According to a Mexican police report, a doctor was called to assist Robinson around 2 p.m. The doctor insisted on taking her to the hospital, but her friends refused. According to Robinson's death certificate, she died from a severe spinal cord injury and a broken neck. Doctors call the injury an internal decapitation. A video surfaced after Robinson death showing her being beaten by one of the traveling friends. The documents submitted to the White House named the friend and calls for her to be extradited to face charges.
