A mother and father both arrested Friday, August 22 from their Cabazon, California home and booked in the Riverside County jail without bail. Father Jake Haro, 32 and Mother Rebecca Haro, 41, are charged with murder and making a false report in the disappearance of their 7-month-old son Emmanuel Haro. Baby Emmanuel was reported missing Thursday, August 14 around 7:47pm and was last seen wearing a black Nike onesie.  Jake Haro has a public defender who enters a "not guilty" plea for him at the arraignment and Rebecca Haro's court appointed private counsel, Jeff Moore, enters a plea of 'Not Guilty" for her as well. Moore, from the firm Blumenthal and Moore, previously represented Louise and David Turpin - well publicized and high-profile trial for the parents who were sentenced to life in prison for abusing their 13 children. Moore gained attention as the attorney for the Turpin parents accused of abusing, starving, imprisoning and hiding their 13 kids from society by stripping away their rights to learn to read, write,  eat,  and speak.  The Publics outrage was well documented for the horrific living conditions those innocent Turpin children endured for years, some never even allowed to leave the home. After years in captivity,  bravery took a hold, giving courage to escape the home and run for help.  Jake and Rebecca Haro, were brought in separate doors through opposite sides of the courtroom. The couple did not appear to look at each other, Jake Haro kept his eyes on the judge and Rebecca Haro was kept out of direct view by her private attorney appointed by the court. After less than 10 minutes of the hearing, the Haro's were taken back to their jail cells where they will sit until September 16 for their "Felony Settlement Conference", commonly called the "pre-trial hearing". Jake and Rebecca Haro' s arraignment is not being streamed but cameras are in the courtroom. A 21-year-old college student and cheerleader from the University of Kentucky is accused of hiding her newborn inside her college apartment closet. Laken Snelling is arrested after her infant is found dead in a trash bag inside the closet. An autopsy report only deepens the mystery surrounding the infant's death because the results are found to be inconclusive. Snelling posted baby bump pics before her infant was found dead.  Authorities allege Snelling gave birth in secret, wrapped her baby in a towel, placed him in a trash bag, and left him in her closet. According to an arrest report, Lexington police were called to a home on Park Avenue for an unresponsive infant on Wednesday. Police said they found a baby's body in a closet, wrapped in a towel inside a black trash bag. The UK cheerleader is now charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant. Court records show Snelling was released on bond and must remain on house arrest and live with her parents. Young mom, Sara Ebersole, vanishes without a trace and her family is still searching for answers. On March 31, 2023, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office post a release about Sara’s disappearance. According to the post, Sara was captured on security footage on March 2, 2023, at around 10:00 p.m., in the area of the Circle K gas station located at 17980 N Highway 441 in Reddick, Florida. The release also states Sara willingly left the convenience store in a black pickup truck with two unknown males. The then-26-year-old Ebersole was given a ride from the convenience store to a residence located off Highway 441 in Reddick. She was dropped off at the home with another individual. Sara spent a portion of that night with a male, who lived in one-half of a subdivided residence. The sheriff’s office states that at around 1:25 a.m. on March 3, 2023, that male known as James Robinson begins texting a man identified as Morman. In those messages, Robinson mentions Ebersole is “hanging out” at his home. During the conversation, Morman asks if Ebersole would be interested in meeting him and asked if he could come to Robinson’s residence. Robinson agreed, and Morman arrived shortly thereafter.  According to Sara's family, she goes missing on March 3, 2023, from Reddick, Florida and Sara's Gmail timeline was viewed and deleted and her iCloud location shows on and she's using YouTube until 240am. Someone also attempted to get on Sara's snapchat, at 1:47pm. Sara is not just missing; she is classified as an endangered person.  Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information from the public that may help find Sara. Dr. Hamid Mirshojae's widow is suing the his ex-wife, who is now accused of planning his murder.   Mirshoje was ambushed, shot in the parking lot of his medical office. Prosecutors say this murder-for-hire plot was organized and funded by ex-wife, Ahang Mirshojae. And according to a new lawsuit the plotting did not end with the doctor's death.  The lawsuit claims  the ex-wife is plotting to get real estate and other properties,  for herself and the three grown children the former couple had.   New wife and widow, Ghazal Simorgh,  has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Ahang Mirshojae and the others accused in the killing.   Dr. Hamid Mirshojae and his new wife have a six-month-old daughter. He also has the three children from the first marriage, which ended in an ugly divorce and legal battles that have continued for 15 years. Dr. Hamid Mirshojae and his first wife, Ahang Kelk Mirshojae, began divorce proceedings in 2009 when he applied for a restraining order to keep her away from their $6 million marital home. In the petition, he cited "physical violence," accusing Ahang of repeatedly punching him. Legal disputes have continued since. Ahang Mirshojae managed the office of the Woodland Hills Medical Clinic and remained an employee there until 2016, when Dr. Mirshojae reportedly caught her embezzling substantial sums from the clinic. Dr. Mirshojae continued his standard practice. An hour after closing Woodland Hills Medical Clinic and Urgent Care for the day, he was ambushed by a masked gunman near his SUV around 5:30 p.m. The LAPD arrived 42 minutes later to find the 61-year-old primary care and emergency physician with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a single gunman fled on foot. The investigation led officers to his ex-wife. Donna Adelson, accused mastermind in the shooting death of her former son-in-law, Dan Markel,    was arrested at Miami International Airport in an alleged attempt to flee to a non-extradition country. Investigators believe Adelson had Markel killed after a failed push by ex-wife Wendi to move their children to  South Florida, closer to her family. Donna Adelson is the fifth person charged in the murder-for-hire plot of her former son-in-law, a Florida State University Law Professor and well-known throughout Tallahassee. The first person brought to justice Luis Rivera, agreed to a plea deal. Rivera testifies he and his lifelong friend, Sigfredo Garcia, drove from Miami to Tallahassee to carry out the hit and Garcia was the triggerman. Rivera, once a Latin Kings gang leader, accepted a 19-year prison sentence in exchange for flipping on his close friend. 1:30 am,  August 23, 2025, surveillance footage shows Dacara Thompson parking her car in Hyattsville. A person who father believes is Dacara is seen walking away from the car, which is facing the wrong way and in is front of a fire hydrant. As she walks away, she uses the key fob to lock the doors as the lights on the car blink.  Dacara appears to be alone, nobody is seen walking with or near her as she walks out of frame.  That's the last time Dacara was seen.  Now a bombshell arrest in the case after police discover more surveillance footage. According to PGPD,  Thompson is seen approaching a black SUV in the early morning hours of Aug. 23. After speaking to the driver, Thompson enters the SUV. The so-called "missing minute" from the security camera video of the jail tier where sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein died has been found and made public. This as new New Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell survivors speak out.  The survivors say they are compiling their own list of Epstein's associates, forming their own black book to distribute to the public, even as they call for lawmakers to release more files. On Tuesday evening, 33,000 pages and several videos were made public by the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, which had subpoenaed the DOJ. Two members of the House, Republican Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Democrat Ro Khanna of California, are trying to force a vote on compelling the DOJ to release all documents.  Speaking at an event in Washington DC, the survivors called for the release of all Epstein files as victims describe the 'disturbing world' of Jeffrey Epstein. Annie Farmer, now 46, says she was taken to New Mexico at 16 and her sister reported the abuse, but nothing was done. During the presser, victims stood in front of a sign that read: "Epstein Files Transparency Act," the name of a bill that some lawmakers want to pass in Congress. Kristi and Steve Goncalves were outraged a plea deal was struck with four-time killer Bryan Kohberger. Bryan Kohberger attended Washington State University for a little over three months, and in that time, 13 complaints were filed about his bad behavior. The complaints related to the nature of being homophobic, ableist, xenophobic, and misogynistic. Kohberger was just days into his first semester of the doctoral program when administrators received their first formal complaint; 12 more came over the next three months, according to newly unsealed documents. Included in the release are photos of the apartment Kohberger left behind in Pullman. The photos are filled with textbooks, graded papers, and a refrigerator partially full of food. The families of Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin are suing the city of Moscow over therelease of hundreds of these crime scene photos and videos of the first response to 1122 King Road. Their attorney claims many of the photos constitute an “unwarranted invasion of privacy.”Leander James says ‘blurring’ on the images is an ‘ineffective’ redaction, and blood is stillvisible on floors and walls of the home outside the blurring. Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, file lawsuits in California, suing Meta and TikTok for kicking the pair off their platforms in 2022. The lawsuits allege defamation and unlawful deplatforming.They claim the banning of their accounts was a politically motivated campaign to suppress and destroy their reputations and livelihoods, not a neutral enforcement of platform rules. They also claim Meta and TikTok defamed them by making "reckless and inflammatory statements portraying Tate as a sex trafficker—without evidence, without trial, and without due process."  The brothers are seeking over $50 million in compensatory damages from each company.  This is in the midst of new assault claims against the Tate brothers. Lauren Southern, a right-wing Canadian political influencer, writes in her Substack that she met Andrew Tate on a trip to Bucharest.  At 22, Southern approached Tate with a business proposition. A California mom's husband pleaded for her safe return, and now he faces charges months after her disappearance. Nikki Saelee-McCain, 39, vanishes in May 2024; after texting family members she was heading home, she never arrives and has not been heard from since, and her husband, Tyler McCain, is arrested as a suspect in her murder. Nikki's Chevy Avalanche is located near the Shasta and Tehama County line a week after she vanishes. The truck's bed enclosed cover was opened and had an overwhelming odor of decomposition. Inside the vehicle, more evidence is recovered, providing strong evidence her husband, Tyler McCain, is the primary source of the DNA on the items. McCain previously faced felony domestic violence charges, but the case was dismissed when Nikki disappeared because she couldn’t testify. Based on the evidence gathered, information learned from interviews, and the fact no one in Nikki's family has seen or heard from Nikki since her disappearance, the detectives determined Nikki is a victim of homicide. Detectives also further conclude Nikki's husband, Tyler Scott McCain, is responsible for Nikki's death and disappearance. Detectives recently obtained a murder arrest warrant for McCain.  McCain was booked into Shasta County Jail, and prosecutors allege he killed Nikki to prevent her from testifying in the domestic violence case. Donna Adelson, accused mastermind in the shooting death of her former son-in-law, Dan Markel,    was arrested at Miami International Airport in an alleged attempt to flee to a non-extradition country. Investigators believe Adelson had Markel killed after a failed push by ex-wife Wendi to move their children to  South Florida, closer to her family. Donna Adelson is the fifth person charged in the murder-for-hire plot of her former son-in-law, a Florida State University Law Professor and well-known throughout Tallahassee. The first person brought to justice Luis Rivera, agreed to a plea deal. Rivera testifies he and his lifelong friend, Sigfredo Garcia, drove from Miami to Tallahassee to carry out the hit and Garcia was the triggerman. They are also charged with making a false police report. However, Rebecca, during a jailhouse interview, maintains her story that she was knocked out and her 7-month-old son, Emmanuel, was abducted. Jake Haro's lawyer, Vincent Hughes, says he doesn't know where the statement that his client stopped cooperating with detectives came from because he continues to offer Haro to investigators. Hughes also says Jake Haro wants to cooperate with investigators. The father of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro was pulled out of jail in his orange jumpsuit and taken to a remote area of Moreno Valley and was seen in the field with law enforcement. The department implies that while Jake Haro was at the scene, he was not helping in the search. Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, a hairstylist, and her police officer boyfriend broke up after dating for nearly a year. The relationship had been contentious, with both filing protective orders. After the breakup, Diiorio began dating again and turned to Tinder. During conversations with a match, Diiorio said she wanted her ex dead and asked if he could carry it out, noting that her ex was a Philadelphia police officer. The Tinder date was a police informant and contacted county prosecutors. Detectives notified Philadelphia police, who then informed the officer and identified him as the target. Prosecutors have already implicated Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen," who sold the drug involved in Matthew Perry's death, and now her guilty plea proves her involvement.  She is also connected to other customer deaths, and prosecutors believe there are likely more victims given the volume of drugs Sangha sold. Sangha remains in custody without bond in connection with Perry's death. Drug dealer Eric Fleming, who reportedly served as a program director at the Bel-Air rehab Red Door, also had a resident die of an overdose while under his watch. Additionally, Brooke Mueller’s close connections to suspects Fleming and Sangha have emerged. Mueller spent time with Sangha during one of her rehab stints, and Fleming is reportedly a godfather to one of Mueller’s children. Mueller is said to have pressured her then-boyfriend William Cooney to join Fleming’s rehab program, where Cooney overdosed and died. Mueller may have introduced Fleming and Sangha to Perry as a means to facilitate his addiction. Federal prosecutors report that Mueller is cooperating with the investigation and is not facing any charges. Court documents reveal the close ties between Sangha, Fleming, and assistant Kenneth Iwamasa. Iwamasa told Fleming he "cleaned up the scene" by disposing of ketamine vials and syringes and "deleted everything." Fleming then informed Sangha that he believed they were protected since he never dealt with Perry directly, only through Iwamasa, who would be considered Perry's "enabler." In their communications, Sangha and Fleming refer to Perry using the code name "Chandler." The jury took two minutes from entering the courtroom to announce the verdict: Richard Allen, guilty on all charges. Allen was convicted of felony murder for Abby Williams and Libby German, as well as for knowingly and intentionally killing both girls. Judge Gull maintained order in the courtroom, where there were no outbursts, but outside on the streets of Delphi, shouts of "Guilty on all charges" echoed.  The jury, composed of seven women and five men, heard 17 days of testimony, including dozens of witnesses, disturbing jailhouse videos of Richard Allen, and photos of Abby and Libby as they were found at the crime scene. They deliberated for 19 hours over parts of four days to reach a unanimous verdict. Richard Allen was found guilty of four counts: two counts of felony murder and two counts of knowingly and intentionally killing Abby Williams and Libby German. Delphi residents tell reporters that they are still in shock after learning that local pharmacy tech Richard Allen has been charged in the 2017 murder of teens Liberty German and Abigail Williams. Photos of Allen in a local bar with the police sketch of the murder suspect posted on the wall behind him have surfaced. Killer Bryan Kohberger has no trouble admitting to violently killing four people with a knife in a sneak attack in the middle of the night, but after just one night in J-Block at the Idaho Maximum Security Prison, he is begging to be transferred out. He submits a handwritten note telling the deputy warden he is being subjected to minute-by-minute verbal threats and harassment and asks to be transferred out of Unit 2 on J-Block because he says, "J-Block is an environment I wish to transfer from."  In his first note of complaint and begging, Kohberger violates a cardinal rule of prison: never rat out your fellow prisoners. Kohberger writes he is "not engaging in any of the recent flooding/striking...." "Flooding" in prison jargon refers to inmates intentionally causing water to overflow in their cells, creating a disruption on the block, and by saying he isn't taking part, he is pointing his bony finger of righteous indignation at others on J-Block.  After sending his first note of complaint after his first night in prison, Kohberger follows it up a few days later with another note, this one given to a guard and claiming he is the victim of sexual harassment. In the note, Kohberger claims one inmate is threatening to rape him, while another inmate says, "The only ass we'll be eating is Kohberger's." Kohberger offers up the name of a guard he says heard the threats and harassment, so his claims can be verified.  An incident notification report is filled out by the guard who received the second Kohberger note, and the guard named by Kohberger is questioned about the claims made by the admitted quadruple murderer. In a report filed three days later, the guard says he recalls vulgar language being used and directed towards Kohberger, but he doesn't know which inmates made the threats. In his note, Kohberger tells the deputy warden that he wants to be transferred to B-Block immediately. Immediately. Kohberger also wants to speak to the deputy warden soon. In response, Kohberger is told J-Block is "generally a fairly calm and quieter tier," and the flooding is a relatively rare occurrence. Authorities search for a 7-month-old boy reported kidnapped outside a California store by his mother.  Rebecca Haro is outside her vehicle, changing her son's diaper, when she is assaulted from behind and knocked unconscious. When she regained consciousness, baby Emmanuel was gone. San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies used helicopters and K-9s, and the family handed out flyers, looking for Emmanuel Haro, outside Big 5 Sporting Goods in Yucaipa. As the parents plead for their son to be returned, police find inconsistencies in the mom's initial statement. Investigators say they are unable to rule out foul play.
