The loved ones of 33-year-old Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra — originally from Carlow, Ireland — are calling for an independent autopsy after her body was discovered aboard a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club in East Hampton, New York, on August 5th. A Tesla key card allegedly found near David Anthony Burke, also known as D4vd, Hollywood Hills home, raises questions in the Celeste Rivas Hernandez murder. Conspiracy theories abound, with one suggesting Celeste died due to an overdose; those around her panicked and hid the body, fearing the death would expose Burke to scrutiny about her age. This could also explain why they wouldn't call 911. Or someone is framing Burke for the death of Celeste.  Multiple people are known to have been driving Burke's Tesla. Steve Fischer says a crime definitely occurred, as Celeste did not put herself in the Tesla. The Tesla has multiple cameras, including a front-facing camera, two cameras on the windshield, two cameras on the side fenders, and a rear-facing camera, for a 360-degree view of the vehicle's environment. While driving, the Dash-Cam feature uses the exterior cameras to record footage in a loop, continuously capturing the car's surroundings. The cameras send high-resolution images to the vehicle's onboard computer, which analyzes the data using a neural network. The data is combined with other sensors to create a comprehensive understanding of the environment. Burke's Tesla was not reported as "stolen" or "missing"; it was reported as an abandoned vehicle by a neighbor. This is the report that led to law enforcement coming out on August 27 and ticketing the vehicle the first time and marking the tires on the car to check for movement. On September 3, the Tesla was ticketed again and towed on September 5. Video from a liquor store near Celeste's home shows the teen just after 7a.m. on March 19, 2024, walking down the street wearing a black hoodie and white pants.  On the video, the teen is seen jogging around a corner and alternating between a walk and a run before vanishing. Thirty years after Susan Smith drove her car into a lake with her two sons strapped in their car seats, she sought parole. A parole board denied her request, and a suitor later revealed that Smith had dreamed of appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.” She is reportedly “devastated” that her bid for parole failed. Now we learn from shocking texts that Smith is being sent money by multiple men with whom she is in contact from behind bars.  After high school, Susan Leigh Vaughan married David Smith. They had two sons, but the marriage faltered despite the children. The couple separated multiple times. During one separation, Susan began dating Tom Findlay, the single son of a wealthy mill owner. Smith imagined a future with Findlay until she received a "Dear John" letter from him, stating he did not want an instant family. On the night of October 25, Susan Smith knocked on the door of a house near John D. Long Lake. Hysterical, she told the man who answered to call the police. She claimed an armed Black man had carjacked her at a red light, with her two boys—3-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alex—still in the car. For days, Susan repeated increasingly inconsistent versions of the carjacking story. Eventually, Smith confessed. There had been no carjacker. Feeling desperate, alone, and suicidal, she had taken her sons for a drive. At John D. Long Lake, she put the car in neutral, jumped out, and watched as it sank. Scuba divers later found the vehicle with the boys still strapped in their seats. Since her conviction and incarceration, tabloid reports have alleged that Smith told prison investigators about four sexual encounters with Lieutenant Houston Cagle, a supervisor at South Carolina’s Women’s Correctional Institution.  Cagle admitted to having sex with Smith and another inmate. In August 2000, he was charged with the offenses, pleaded guilty, and served three months in jail. Captain Alfred Rowe also pleaded guilty to having sex with Smith and received five years of probation. Over the years, several men have written to Smith, fueling her hopes for a life beyond prison. The infamous Tallahassee murder of Mike Williams is being retold in a new documentary series on Hulu. This four-part docuseries, "Mr. & Mrs. Murder," looks at the "twisted story" of two "close-knit couples" involved in the murder that took 17 years to solve. When police first found Mike Williams' clothes in a Florida lake, they speculated he had been eaten by alligators, but a deadly plot involving a cheating wife and a $1.75 million insurance policy eventually floated to the top of their suspicions. A new investigation surrounding Luigi Mangione. The retail giant Shein is trying to figure out who used a likeness of the accused murderer in an ad campaign on the company's website. It has now been removed but the image of Mangione was used to model a white, short-sleeved shirt.   A spokesperson from Shein says the likeness was provided by a third-party vendor.   Mangione has been indicted on first-degree murder in furtherance of terrorism.  He is also charged with two counts of murder in the second degree, with one of those counts also denoting Mangione murder of CEO Brian Thompson as an act of terrorism. Now the Federal government is seeking the death penalty. Attorney General Pam Bondi directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty which marks the first such directive by the Trump administration.   New York, where the murder occurred, has abolished the death penalty, and Mangione's lawyers are attempting to block the federal death penalty pursuit, arguing the move is a political stunt.  Police questioned Mangione's mom the day before he was captured. She told officers that the shooting 'might be something that she could see him doing.' Indicted for the first-degree murder of his wife, Suzanne, Barry Morphew has been held in jail with a three million dollar cash-only bond. After turning down Morphew's request to lower his bond to a $500 thousand dollar cash-only bond, Judge Amanda Hopkins changes the bond to allow Morphew to use a 'surety,' a bail bonds company, meaning Morphew would only have to come up with 10 to 15 percent of the $3 million. Friends and supporters provide the funds, and bail bondsman Richard Jordan of Denver's A-1 Bail Bonds gets Morphew out of jail to await his murder trial. Morphew's bond restrictions begin with a GPS monitor, a ban on leaving Colorado, and surrendering his passport. He is also under strict house arrest and can only leave his home for medical emergencies or meetings with attorneys. He's not allowed to consume alcohol or controlled substances. There is a mandatory protection order barring him from contacting witnesses or the victim's family, except his daughters, one of whom was with the bail bondsman to get Morphew out of jail. D4vd was living in a home leased by his manager, Josh Marshal, but since police served a search warrant looking for blood at the residence, the singer has decided not to live in the $20,000-a-month home. The home was leased from the owner, Mladen Trifunovic, who says Marshal signed the lease in February and he didn't know D4vd was living in the house. Regardless, after the raid on the home, Trifunovic says they didn't want to live there anymore and are breaking the lease. Trifunovic says he doesn't know what was found or what kind of tests were conducted in the house. Now, police are scouring the area around the home where the Tesla with the dismembered and decomposing body in the frunk was parked before being towed, and they are looking for video. The rental home has security cameras positioned at all entry points, in the backyard, and on the street so people can't go in or out of the house without being recorded.  Even as police investigate, photos are circulating alleging Celeste was with D4vd at his concert in Silver Springs, Maryland, on August 24. If true, these photos create a timeline from August 24 until her dismembered, decomposing body is found in D4vd's Tesla in an impound lot on September 8, one day after her 15th birthday. It is reported the Tesla was parked on the street for a month before it was reported abandoned on September 3rd and towed to the impound lot on September 5. The footage shows a person looking very much like Celeste Rivas on the balcony to the side and back of the stage. This is an area usually reserved for backstage pass access only. Her hair is the same style as Celeste's, and she is wearing a black tube top and ripped blue jeans. Sean Combs wants out of jail. His attorney suggested the judge release the convicted rapper on time served. Combs will be sentenced next week. Combs’ attorneys argue that the government’s case relied on extremely “inflammatory” evidence to obtain the convictions on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution that would not have been admitted to court had Combs only been prosecuted under the Mann Act. Prosecutors disagree that the issue warrants Combs a new trial, claiming there are no legal grounds for the judge to overturn the convictions, and Combs should be sentenced on October 3rd. Should attorneys fail to convince Judge Subramanian he should be acquitted or granted a new trial, Sean Combs will face sentencing on October 3. Combs could potentially be jailed for more than 20 years if the court adds aggravating factors suggested by the government. Prosecutors initially said they would suggest 4-5 years imprisonment, but later indicated they would be seeking a substantially longer sentence. Meanwhile, Combs’ attorneys argue he should receive no more than 14 months, amounting essentially to just time served. Diddy’s defense sentencing packet describes several reasons the music mogul deserves a light sentence. Diddy claims 6–12 months per count accurately reflects the severity of the crimes, and he’s already spent 13 months in deplorable conditions at the MDC. Diddy cites his incident-free stay, newfound sobriety, and founding an ‘entrepreneurship’ class behind bars as additional reasons for a short sentence. Combs also wants his freedom back as quickly as possible so he can return to supporting his seven children and 84-year-old mother. FBI Director Kash Patel has released a statement revealing the FBI is now investigating several “Conspiracy theories” about Charlie Kirk’s murder are circulating online. Patel was able to dismiss a theory, but says several others could be credible. They include theories about possible accomplices, the authenticity of the text conversation between Robinson and his roommate, the bullet’s trajectory, and even why Kirk, who normally wears black, was clad in white that day. Online sleuths are also hung up on the bullet's trajectory, since clear video of the shooting is still widely available online. Social media users of the younger generations are also questioning the authenticity of Robinson’s text messages to his “surprised” romantic partner. Gen Z influencers say most single 22-year-olds do not speak in full sentences over text and point out several examples of odd grammar from Robinson. They also question why Robinson writes his father was ‘MAGA’ like he’s mentioning it for the first time, and how Robinson’s roommate could have watched him engrave bullets and not ask questions.  Robinson and his roommate, Lance Twiggs, were known recluses, rarely seen leaving their home except for work and school. However, neighbors noticed an unusual amount of traffic on their street in the weeks leading up to the shooting; many of them were marked with out-of-state plates. Robinson earned an award on Steam for frequently playing ‘Furry Shades of Gay,’ a collection of ‘choose-your-own adventure’ sex scenes between humanoid animal characters. A nearly 50-year mystery in Oregon has just been solved. DNA technology has finally confirmed the identity of a young woman whose remains were discovered in the state’s mountains back in 1976. Authorities say the remains belong to Marion Vinetta Nagle McWhorter. She was just 21 years old when she disappeared in 1974 after a shopping trip in Tigard, Oregon—a suburb of Portland. Two years after she vanished, skeletal remains were discovered along a creek in the Central Cascades. Celeste Rivas Hernandez is just 13 when she is reported missing from her family home in Lake Elsinore, 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, the child was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray pants, and Hello Kitty sandals. Her mother says she has a boyfriend named "David." Residents in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood grow tired of a damaged and dusty 2023 Tesla Model Y with a Texas license plate parked on the street for a month and report the vehicle abandoned. The car is towed to an impound lot, where days later employees at Hollywood Tow notice a foul odor coming from the car and call police. Responding officers discover a decomposing body in a bag in the frunk of the Tesla. The Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, better known as the singer/songwriter D4vd. The car was never reported stolen. The severely decomposed, partially dismembered remains found in the Tesla are identified as Celeste Rivas, 15, but 13 at the time she went missing, more than a year ago, in Lake Elsinore, California. She was identified through forensics, and a cause of death has not been determined. A search warrant is executed on the house singer D4vd was living in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood, near where the Tesla containing Celeste's remains was abandoned. Investigators carry a computer and bags of evidence out of the home, and when the garage door is open, police are seen searching another Tesla vehicle inside the garage. Convicted socialite Rebecca Grossman demands a venue change in a wrongful death suit trial filed against her. The parents of two young boys killed when a drunk Grossman plowed into them  is civilly suing Grossman and her former MLB star lover Scott Erickson for wrongful death.  Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Huey Cotton threw out a motion to fast-track.  The judge’s decision means that trial won't start until the original December 1 date.  Just after 7 pm, on a September evening, Jacob and Mark Iskander, their siblings, and parents go for an evening stroll to a nearby lake.   The 6 member family is crossing in a crosswalk at a three-way intersection when mother Nancy hears a speeding car barreling their way.  The mom says her husband and daughter were father away from the street. She tries to signal to the two SUVs to slow down.  She tries to pull the children back, only managing to grab 1 of them and dive out of the way.  Jacob and Mark are hit.   Mark Iskander dies at the scene. Jacob dies later at the hospital. According to police, Mark was thrown 254 feet.   Nancy Iskander tells police that two SUVs  were  "zig-zagging with each other as if they were playing or racing.”  She says the drivers didn’t stop, at the intersection, not even when the 11-year-old was on the hood of the car. Deputies reportedly catch up with a white Mercedes with significant front-end damage a third of a mile from the scene.  Behind the wheel is Rebecca Grossman.  The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department says they believe that vehicle was traveling over 80 miles an hour. Grossman’s breathalyzer test after the crash showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.076% according to local news reports. The legal limit in California is 0.08%.  A blood sample taken three hours after the crash registered at the 0.08% mark. Rebecca Grossman was charged and convicted of two felony counts each of second-degree murder, vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and one felony count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death.  Grossman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Noah Presgrove's estate filed a wrongful death lawsuit in June naming Jack Newton, his father, Caleb Newton, and five others. So far, the only response came from Jack Newton and Caleb Newton.   The other defendants in the wrongful death suit include Avery Jo Howard, Carter Combs, Johnnie Trout Wilcoxson Jr., Stevie Howard and Logan Jernigan. Avery, Carter and Logan allegedly threw the party Noah attended on Johnnie's property, in a home owned by Stevie, according to the suit. On the morning of August 12, Ryan Borgwardt’s wife contacted authorities, reporting that her husband hadn’t returned from a kayaking trip on Green Lake the previous night and wasn’t answering his phone. The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office began a search around 5:32 p.m., focusing on Borgwardt’s last known location at Green Lake. Deputies soon located his vehicle and trailer parked near Dodge Memorial Park. About an hour later, authorities found a capsized kayak in the western part of the lake, where the water is approximately 220 feet deep. They discovered the life jacket still attached to the kayak, and volunteers joined deputies in the search for Borgwardt. Twenty-four hours into the search, crews deployed a drone and boats to perform a grid search of the lake. As efforts continued, Sheriff Mark Podoll announced that they were focusing on the lake’s deepest areas, covering hundreds of acres with the assistance of Bruce’s Legacy, a nonprofit specializing in search and recovery. The sheriff indicated they were now searching for a body, believing Borgwardt drowned in the lake. Three cadaver dogs and a dive team were brought in to assist with recovery efforts. Sheriff Podoll and his team then shifted their focus to reexamine the investigation from the beginning. They soon discovered that Canadian law enforcement had run Borgwardt’s name on August 13. Although Borgwardt’s passport was initially found at his home, investigators learned he had been issued a new passport on May 22 after reporting the original one lost. Borgwardt’s wife, Emily, provided his laptop for investigation. A digital forensic analysis revealed that Borgwardt had replaced the hard drive and cleared all browser history the day he disappeared. Investigators believe he is now in Europe. Further findings showed Borgwardt transferred funds to a foreign bank, changed his email address, and had been communicating with a woman from Uzbekistan before his disappearance. The investigation also revealed that he had taken out a $375,000 life insurance policy seven months before vanishing and had purchased airline cards. Sheriff Podoll stated, after all they had uncovered, that Borgwardt is “not in our lake.” Note: After our Crime Stories broadcast, the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office posted this message on its Facebook page: "We do not believe the TikTok video is Ryan. The search continues for Ana Walshe. The young mom of three was supposed to have commuted to Washington, D.C., for her new job. Walshe works in real estate. She never made it. In fact, it appears she never even got on the flight. Her husband, Brian Walshe, reported her missing three days after Ana Walshe's boss filed a missing persons report.  Police searched the family home and found blood and tools in the basement. Brian Walshe, who was already wearing an ankle monitor after an arrest for art fraud, was arrested again and charged with hindering the police investigation. Police also found that Brian Walshe bought $450 of cleaning supplies from a nearby Home Depot store the day after Ana Walshe was supposed to be on the DC flight.  Brian Walshe has now been charged with murder. As the case heads to trial a lawsuit has been filed against his mother.  The owner of the property the Walshes rented says Diana Walshe, damages  damages to the property, including loss of rent and psychological impact. A new trial date  set for Tyler McCain, the man charged with killing his wife, Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain.  McCain facing 12 charges and multiple special allegations, including one that he killed his wife to prevent her from testifying against him in court over domestic violence charges.   The jury trial was supposed to start on Nov. 18, but McCain’s lawyer, Michael Borges,  asked for more time  given the mounds of documentation provided by the prosecution.  Shasta Superior Court Judge Adam B. Ryan, set the trial date was set for March 17, 2026.   A trial readiness hearing will be held on March 11 to ensure both parties are prepared for the trial.  As of today, Nikki is still missing and presumed dead.  Redding Police detective Jeremiah Kessinger said Nikki's sister Chloe Saelee texted with Nikki regularly, and there was always a response until May 19th. Family members talked with Nikki on May 18, but on May 19, she never answered a text from Chloe. Nikki told Chloe about domestic violence in the relationship and McCain going so far as to point a gun directly at Nikki and threatening to kill her and her family members.  Detective Maul played an audio recording in court of Nikki McCain describing being assaulted by her husband, Tyler McCain. The recording was done in a hospital emergency room, where Nikki showed up to give the police a statement. Nikki says, "He pushed me on the ground. And he started hitting me. He was just enraged; he was so angry." Nikki estimates the attack lasted three hours.  Tyler McCain has pleaded not guilty to the charges. In an odd and creepy twist, Bryan Kohberger uses his phone to take selfies he never shares with anyone. The selfie photo shoot takes place inside his Washington State University apartment, standing in front of a closet filled with blue shirts. Shirtless and wearing earbuds, the cowardly killer flexes, poses, and makes a contorted face with an angry grin, showing off his yellow teeth, and at one point he salutes the camera, revealing a cut to the knuckle on the ring finger of his left hand that may have come from his murderous rampage in Moscow.  We also learn as investigators met with classmates, professors, and other university staff, they described Kohberger as creepy and domineering, with one classmate saying Kohberger would be the type of professor who would harass and stalk students. The interviews included individuals from all aspects of college campus life, from classrooms, offices, and hangout spots, and in each case the same result: Kohberger’s mere presence was enough to set people on edge. When Kohberger shows a “keen interest” in an undergraduate assistant, a WSU faculty member keeps a close watch. She witnesses the future killer standing at her assistant’s desk, directly behind her, looking over her shoulder as she works. Because of Kohberger’s behavior, another professor is asked to escort the assistant to her car after work. In a class where Kohberger is the teaching assistant, a female student says whenever she looks up, he is staring at her. He rarely speaks to students, but the co-ed says no matter when she would leave the class, he would time his exit to leave when she did and then follow her to her car. Another graduate student says she caught Kohberger “aggressively” staring at her 9 times in one class and followed her after class. State formally files to seek death penalty against Tyler Robinson during his initial court appearance, Correctional officers are going to extraordinary measures to make sure inmate 460956 Robinson  makes it to his trial alive. Robinson is under a physical watch in special housing. Prosecutor says, he does not take the death penalty decision lightly and made it independently based on evidence. State filed criminal information charging Tyler James Robinson, age 22, with the following crimes. Count one, aggravated murder, a capital offense for intentionally or knowingly causing the death of Charlie Kirk under circumstances that created a great risk of death to others. Count two, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, a first degree felony. The state alleging aggravating factors on counts one and two because aledgely the defendant targeted Charlie Kirk based on Charlie's political expression and knowing children were present and witness the murder. More arrest, disgusting pedophile, remember George Zinn, 71, the get away liar, who proclaimed he killed Charlie Kirk as audience members scrambled to safety. During Zinn's arrest and his charge with obstructing justice, admitted he only claimed to be responsible to allow the actual shooter a head start. Officers asked Zinn's to have his phone to search to prove he was innocent. What they found is horrific, you wont believe the ages of these kids. Now, Zinn also faces four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. A Utah judge, Judge Graff, along with Prosecutor Chad Gruner, has issued Charlie Kirk's widow, Erica, a pretrial protective order. The order bars Robinson from contacting Erika in any way, and warns of additional charges if he violates the order. There are number of individuals currently being investigated and interrogated and the number yet to be interrogated and investigated specific to the chat room. As more details are unveiled, Robinson's mom also recognized him in the surveillance images and confronted him. The Utah County Sheriff's Office reports that Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the Charlie Kirk shooting, has been placed in the county jail’s special housing unit for now. The county jail’s special housing unit for the time being. Robinson reportedly first told his father he would “rather kill himself” than go to jail, before agreeing to turn himself in to cops. The unit has ‘around the clock’ physical supervision, and Robinson will not be transferred elsewhere until he receives medical and mental health clearance. Tyler Robinson’s father isn’t the only one who recognized him in the FBI’s surveillance photos. A doctor resigns after loudly proclaiming Kirk got what he deserved. When a nurse reported the hateful message, she faced retaliation; however, the doctor no longer works there, and the nurse is back on the schedule. DC cancelled a highly praised artist’s comic book series after just one issue because she posted of Kirk’s death, “I hope the bullet’s okay.” As quickly as they ran to social media to celebrate Kirk’s death, many returned crying, sharing they were fired, some angry, but mostly in shock because they needed that job and loved that job. In Missouri, authorities have finally identified a man whose body was discovered in the Mississippi River south of St. Louis back in 1994. In Franklin Park, Illinois, just west of Chicago, ICE officers say they fatally shot Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez after he allegedly tried to evade arrest by driving his car at officers, dragging one of them. In New York City, authorities have apprehended a suspect in a brutal double homicide involving an elderly couple whose home was set on fire. Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, died Wednesday after he was brutally assassinated in front of his wife and two small kids during an event at Utah Valley University. He was speaking to a large crowd at an outdoor "Prove Me Wrong" debate, where he invites students to challenge his political and cultural views. Authorities shared a video late Thursday of the suspect climbing down from a roof following the shooting, after sharing images throughout the day of a "person of interest" and asking the public for help in identifying the individual.  Like many others, Thursday afternoon, Matt Robinson saw the FBI-released photos of Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter, and he was shocked to recognize his son, Tyler, as the suspect at large. When Robinson arrives home, he is confronted by his father and Tyler Robinson.admits he pulled the trigger. The father encourages Robinson to turn himself in, but the 22-year-old says he would rather kill himself. Matt reaches out to his son’s youth pastor, who also happens to be a U.S. Marshals fugitive task force officer. The officer convinces Robinson to turn himself in.  Neighbors describe Lance Twiggs as Robinson’s roommate. Twiggs, a student at Utah Tech University, showed police incriminating Discord chat messages from Robinson, basically snitching on Robinson and cooperating with authorities. Neighbors say the roommates were reclusive and always blasting music.  Robinson’s 20-person Discord group made up of gamer Pine Hill grads jokingly calls him out.One member sends the FBI photo and asks Robinson, “Where are you at?” Robinson shoots back, “It’s my doppelgänger trying to get me in trouble!” Another friend proclaims, “Tyler killed Charlie!!!” A third suggests turning Robinson in for the reward, and Robinson sneers, “Only if Iget a cut.” One pal quips, “Whatever you do, don’t go to a McDonald’s anytime soon.” Robinson agrees, joking that he “better get rid of this manifesto and exact copy rifle I have. lying around,” before insisting the shooter is “clearly” from California. Evidenced by his Twitch channel, Twiggs is also an avid online gamer.  Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, spoke out late Friday, vowing Turning Point USA will keep hosting campus events. Hours after Chris Watts made an emotional plea for help finding his missing wife and two young daughters, the Colorado man led police to their bodies hidden in oil tanks near where he worked. After being convicted for the three murders, Chris Watts labeled his pregnant wife, Shanann, a “control freak,” and claims that he sought refuge with his mistress. He says Nichol Kessinger  was “everything my wife wasn’t like with me.” Watts confided to a jail mate that his marriage to Shanann was unhappy but Nichol was just everything my wife wasn’t like with me. She was just nice, and not a control freak." After weeks of speculation,  the announcement finally came. The Teton County, Wyoming, coroner, Dr. Brent Blue, released that Gabby Petito died by strangulation. Petito’s boyfriend Brian Laundrie quickly became a person of interest.  News broke of a domestic violence issue in Moab where Gabby was made to be the aggressor.  Brian Laundrie returned to his Florida home on September 1 without Gabby, but with the converted camper van the couple had been traveling in on their cross-country road trip. He used Gabby's money to fund his cross-country drive back. No one told the Petitos where their daughter was or where she went missing.  Then Brian Laundrie went missing himself. His remains were later found after he committed suicide, still with no news about Gabby. Questions arose about what parents Chris and Roberta Laundrie knew about Gabby's disappearance and then death. The Laundries  were the subject of a civil lawsuit filed by Gabby Petito's parents, who alleged that the Laundries inflicted emotional distress by acting with knowledge of Petito's death and the location of her body, which the Laundries denied. Shots ran out as Charlie Kirk sat on stage at a Utah Valley University event. The conservative activist reportedly hit near his neck and killed. Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, just 23 years old, leaves her homeland to start a new life in the United States, along with her family. But one Friday night after work, things take a terrifying turn that could have possibly been avoided, according to some lawmakers.  After her shift, Iryna boards the Charlotte, North Carolina, Transit System, unknowingly sitting in front of Decarlos Brown Jr., a man with a violent past and rap sheet. Without warning, Decarlos Brown pulls out a pocketknife, stands, and lunges over the seat, stabbing Iryna in the neck. As he walks away, blood dripping from the knife onto the train floor, Iryna fights desperately for her life, clutching her neck but unable to call for help.  Passengers just watch, some recording the brutal attack and her bleeding out, as others flee in panic, doing nothing to help the dying passenger, Iryna. Decarlos Brown paces the train, changes his shirt, and calmly exits the train at the next stop. Her fatal stabbing has generated national outrage after the video of the killing was released, and the suspect was identified as having a history of violent crimes and should be in jail. The public questions how a repeat offender was free to roam. Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, was charged with committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system and is being held without bond. The FBI has released images of a person of interest in the Charlie Kirk shooting, offering a $100,000 reward for information. The killer is still at-large  Authorities say the shooter fired from a central building that houses the university's welcome center. Part of that building is just over 100 meters from the location where Charlie Kirk was speaking to an estimated crowd around 3,000.  A live stream of the video, with high-quality audio, captures the assassination. Many in the crowd duck, scream, and start to panic in the moments after the single shot is fired.
