In the days before Kada Scott's disappearance, she tells friends she’s being harassed online and over the phone. Kada goes to work at an upscale assisted living facility for a 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. shift. Shortly after arriving at work, Kada walks out, car still in the parking lot, and no cameras. Kada's phone goes straight to voicemail; the phone is possibly now dead, and there is no social media activity. Two weeks into the investigation,   investigators announced the arrest of Keon King, 21, for Kada’s kidnapping, but Kada is still missing.  Investigators beg the public for help to track down King’s 1999 gold Toyota Camry, Pennsylvania plate MSX0797.Hours after that request, a resident at Gypsy Lane Condos remembers a car matching that description had been parked in the lot for almost a week. Officers descend on the community, where King’s family lives, cordoning off the parking lot to search. The Toyota is towed when police confirm it belongs to King. Surveillance footage shows the car entering the gated Gypsy Lane parking lot 5 days before police tow it. A resident opens the gate for the driver, who sits in the car for about 35 minutes before leaving. It’s unclear if King was behind the wheel. Just two weeks before Kada’s disappearance, King listed the car for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Police are also spreading out from the last search at Awbury Arboretum. Acting on a tip, officers search across the street at the now-abandoned Ada Lewis Middle School. A Texas woman was arrested last week after her 11-year-old autistic son was reportedly found severely underweight and with other injuries indicative of abuse. Investigators believe they know the identities of the shooters who opened fire at a crowded South Carolina bar on Sunday, killing four people and wounding 20 others. Police are desperately searching for 23-year-old Kada Scott, a Miss Pennsylvania hopeful. Kada, a recent Penn State grad, was last seen at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, shortly after clocking in for an overnight shift at the nursing home on Saturday, October 4. Kada did not return home, and her car was found still parked at the facility.  Kada is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with long black hair. She was last seen wearing black scrubs.   Authorities in Arizona are desperately searching for 28-year-old Matthew Spencer, who disappeared on a cross-country road trip from Las Vegas to his new home in Houston. Matthew last spoke to his family on August 6. Matthew is very close with his family, his siblings, and especially his twin sister, Kara, and this is unusual for him not to contact his family. Over the summer, Matthew decides he wants to turn over a new leaf and makes a plan to move from California to Houston, Texas. Matthew is known for venturing out and moving to new locations. This time, he decides to make the trip in his 2006 Hyundai Tucson. Matthew doesn’t intend to make the 30-odd-hour trip all at once. He plans to stop in Las Vegas to see his sister Kara, then stop in Arizona and New Mexico along the way. Matthew arrives in Las Vegas on August 1st and stays through August 4, before continuing to Texas. Matthew plans to split the rest of the 20-hour drive into several days. On August 5th, Matthew’s car is spotted coming into Flagstaff, Arizona. On August 6, Matthew checks in with Kara, telling her he’s arrived in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. The two chat over text until 10:54. Matthew’s last message saying he’s ‘driving in the desert. On August 7, Matthew does not respond to his sister’s text messages, so after more than 12 hours Without contact, Matthew’s family reports him missing. Authorities found Matthew’s silver 2006 Hyundai Tucson on camera entering Flagstaff.  Matthew’s Tucson has not been located Matthew is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. A cold case that spanned more than three decades has finally been solved, thanks to new developments in DNA technology. Authorities in Jefferson County, Missouri, confirmed that remains discovered in the Mississippi River in September 1994 have been identified as Benny Leo Olson, a man from Illinois. His body was recovered south of Festus and later buried in an unmarked grave in 1995, after investigators were unable to determine his identity at the time. Early on a cold Friday morning, Samantha Stites hears the wood floors creak and footsteps coming down the hall. Sam calls her roommate's name, and getting no answer, quickly reaches under her bed for a hatchet. The intruder bursts in the door and, within a matter of seconds, is on top of her with his hands around her neck, places a ball gag in Sam's mouth, then wraps duct tape on her hands. The intruder then blindfolds Sam, loads her into her own car, and starts driving. This is when Sam immediately recognizes her attacker as her stalker, Christopher Thomas. Thomas tells Samantha the Netflix show, "You," inspired him and gave him the idea of also building a constructed 'soundproof' cell in a storage unit. Thomas shows Samantha how he'd been tracking her on his phone and tells her he plans to keep her for two weeks, then dispose of her body. Sam tries to count the turns while Thomas is driving her to her possible torture chamber. Despite her intense fear, Samantha, a therapist and social worker, keeps calm and uses psychological tactics to negotiate with Thomas. Samantha talks to Thomas like a friend and lets Thomas vent to her, knowing all along exactly what Thomas wants, but she gets out of him that he's also terrified of going to jail. Sam tells Thomas she will never tell anyone about the kidnapping and says the sex was consensual and will even be his friend going forward if he takes her home safely afterward. Thomas agrees to Sam's deal, but soon after raping her, he leaves her there, and she fears he is not going to go along with her escape plan. Fraser Bohm, the driver who caused a violent crash killing four Pepperdine college students,  hires high-profile celebrity attorney Alan Jackson. The lead up to James Craig’s trial was bizarre.....two postponements, three different attorney teams, five added charges, and a crazy action from an attorney, who allegedly set his own house on fire. Still, the Aurora dentist’s trial began and ended after jurors heard from four mistresses who said James Craig told them his marriage was over, but a divorce would break him financially.  Crag faced six felony counts:  Murder in the first degree  Two counts of solicitation to commit tampering with physical evidence  Three counts of solicitation to commit perjury in the first degree  Court documents show Craig, jailed on a murder charge of his wife, Angela Craig, still allegedly worked to convince inmates, a former mistress, and even one of his own children to tamper with evidence, to plant it to make it look like Angela Craig wanted to kill herself.  Prosecutors say James Craig even made a botched murder-for-hire attempt on the case’s lead detective just before a second attempt at trial last year.   Craig allegedly offered people cash and dental work in return for a cover-up.  Craig insists he ordered poison because she asked him to.  James Craig and his wife Angela were married for over 20 years. They created a beautiful family of six, loving, happy family, happy children. Between work and taking care of their children, the Craigs still manage to fit a workout into their daily routine. The husband and wife go for a run or hit the gym together almost every day, and when they return home, James Craig makes protein shakes or fruit smoothies for breakfast while Angela delves into getting the kids ready for the day.    Angela complains of having a really nasty headache, along with problems with her eyesight.  She goes to the hospital, saying she feels tingly and cold.   Doctors cannot figure out what's wrong with her.   Angela goes to the hospital multiple times, only to be sent home.  When she goes back for a third time, that's when she's checked in, and her condition deteriorates, coding quickly.  Angela passes away.  One of Summer Brooks’ dental assistants recalls opening a package for Dr. Craig that had potassium cyanide in it. She googles the symptoms of cyanide poisoning and is horrified at how closely they match Angela’s symptoms. She immediately calls Craig’s partner, Ryan Redfearn, hoping he has some other explanation for the contents of the package...but he doesn’t. While visiting Angela, Redfearn tells a nurse about the cyanide, explaining there’s no medical use for the element in their practice. As a mandatory reporter, the nurse calls the police.   With suspicions raised, Angela Craig is sent for an autopsy with additional toxicology screening. Tests reveal the otherwise healthy mom of six died of poisoning from both cyanide and tetrahydrozoline, a common ingredient in eyedrops. While investigators have no definitive evidence that Angela’s food and drinks were poisoned with cyanide, the tests reveal her cyanide levels increased while she was in the hospital.   Police then check Craig's computer, finding strange searches.  One of them was how to poison someone, how to make poison, and the top five or top 10 undetectable poisons that people won't be able to find after someone has died, and will not signal foul play. Less than 24 hours after his wife’s death, dentist James Toliver Craig is arrested for Angela’s murder and additionally charged with tampering with evidence. A 52-page arrest affidavit details Craig’s concerning computer searches, three poison orders, an ongoing affair, and proof that Craig took several measures to cover his tracks.   Police then learn the dentist allegedly tried to hire his cellmate to kill Aurora PD’s lead detective, Bobbi Jo Olson, for $20,000. Calling Olson the “worst, dirtiest detective,” James Craig tried to recruit Nathaniel Harris to take her out for cash or free dental work. Olson wasn’t the only person on his list. Kjersten Strang is a devoted mom to a young son, and her social media pages show it.  During a bike ride she was struck from behind by the driver of a Nissan Altima,   Xavier Rigby. Without warning, Rigby slams Kjersten from behind, throwing the 38-year-old mother into the air. The force knocked her into the windshield of Rigby's car, trapping her.   Rigby does not stop; he continues driving for a mile, to a nearby liquor store.  Police on the scene report Rigby shows multiple signs of impairment, including the smell of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, stumbling, and slurred speech. Rigby also refuses the roadside sobriety test, so police immediately arrest him and haul him off to the Pinellas County Jail. An arrest was made in the arson fire that burned down the Palisades earlier this year, killing 12 people, destroying more than 6,800 structures, both homes and businesses, and damaging over 1,000 more buildings.  After dropping off an Uber passenger in Pacific Palisades, 29-year-old Jonathan Rinderknech parked his car and tried but failed to contact a former friend. He gets out of the car, walks up a nearby trail, takes iPhone videos, and listens to a rap song. Its music video includes objects being lit on fire. Then, twelve minutes into the new year, a fire is started. With weak cell service, Rinderknecht walks back down the trail, continually calling 911 until he finally connects, only to find out other residents already reported the fire.   As Rinderknecht drives away, he passes firefighters and turns back to watch them on the scene. He records while firefighters quickly extinguish the blaze, or so they thought. The dense underbrush makes it difficult to see, and the roots underground continue to smolder. A week after the 911 calls reporting the Lachman fire, the Santa Ana Winds create an explosion of deadly fire, spreading the remains of the Lachman fire across LA, freshly named the Palisades fire.   Investigators question Rinderknecht as he repeatedly called 911 about the January 1st fire. During those calls, Rinderknecht asked ChatGPT, "Are you at fault if a fire is lit because of your cigarettes?"  Rinderknecht gives conflicting statements about whether he smoked near the trail that night and where he was when he called. Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, came to the United States with her family to escape her war-torn country for a better life. Iryna took English classes, had a job and was making a productive life for herself, but all her aspirations were cut short by an unprovoked violent attack from a man with a criminal history.  Video shows Iryna getting on the train in Charlotte North Carolina, taking a seat and looking at her phone quietly. Video shows a passenger sitting directly behind Iryna, who we later came to know as Carlos Brown Jr. A close-up of Brown's hands can be seen opening and unfolding the knife in order to prepare to stand up to stab Iryna. Although Iryna's hat covers a lot of her face, the shock in her eyes, along with the terror she silently expressed during her final moments of life, bleeding out, surrounded by panic is heartbreaking to watch.  Video also shows Brown, in an orange hoodie, walking the aisles of the train with blood dripping on the floor. In reaction to the shocking and violent death of Iryna Zarutska, North Carolina Governor Josh Stein just signed "Iryna's Law" into effect increasing checks on criminals getting out on bail and prohibits cashless bail for some violent crimes and most repeat offender. A Grand jury indicted Brown for murder of Iryna formally charging him with first-degree murder. Brown is being held without bond in the County jail, but an order was filed for him to be committed to Central Regional Hospital. Former Wall Street money manager Howard Rubin is busted by the feds at his Fairfield, Connecticut, home for a decade-long Manhattan sex-trafficking scheme. With the help of his assistant, Jennifer Powers, “Howie” Rubin is accused of luring women into BDSM sex sessions in exchange for cash, then exceeding their consent and torturing and raping his victims. Rubin is accused of luring victims to BDSM sex sessions, first in luxury Manhattan hotels and later in his $18,000-per-month penthouse apartment, equipped with a soundproof “sex dungeon.” Women were bound on a bed or a cross, beaten, and electrocuted. The pleas of those who weren’t gagged went ignored, and the torture often continued even when a woman fell unconscious.  Rubin allegedly paid the women several thousand dollars afterward, including for injuries that required medical attention, like a flipped breast implant.   10 Jane Does are listed as victims in the indictment, but prosecutors from the Eastern District of New York say there are dozens more and are asking the public for tips. Rubin is charged with 2 counts of sex trafficking, 6 counts of transporting women to engage in prostitution, and bank fraud.   Howard Rubin’s name becomes a Wall Street commodity in the 1980s while trading bonds at Salomon Brothers. Rubin is profiled in Michael Lewis’ 1989 book Liar’s Poker for his contributions to the development of a collateralized mortgage obligation market.  Rubin goes on to hold senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, and Soros Fund Management.  Rubin's successful life doesn't stop him from getting married to fellow financier, Mary Henry. After three children and 36 years of marriage, Henry divorces her husband when he is accused of sexual violence in a civil suit.   Rubin tasked Jennifer Powers, his “personal assistant,” with recruiting victims. Powers is arrested at her home in a Dallas-Fort Worth suburb, accused of running the “day-to-day” operations of Rubin’s sex-trafficking scheme and being paid handsomely. Powers arranged the victims’ travel and coerced them into signing NDAs. After nearly six decades, authorities in central Minnesota have confirmed the identity of human remains found in the Mississippi River as Roy George Benn, who went missing in 1967. Benn, then 59, was last seen at a café in Sartell early one September morning. He was reportedly carrying a large amount of cash, and his disappearance sparked a long-running investigation with no resolution—until now. On August 10, a fisherman using sonar near Sartell detected what appeared to be a submerged vehicle. Dive teams recovered a heavily deteriorated 1963 Buick Electra, registered to Benn, with human remains and personal items inside. Best friends Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas ride their bikes in front of Maria’s home. The speed limit is just 25, so the girls feel comfortable riding in the street, but with no warning, a black Jeep Compass barrels down Burnside Avenue at nearly three times the speed limit. The driver never braked, running Maria and Isabella down, and then sped off without stopping to check on the two girls. The hit-and-run driver doesn’t get far. Police find the suspect vehicle, a black 2021 Jeep.Compass, broken down from damage sustained in the crash just blocks away on Lincoln Avenue, with a bike still lodged in the front bumper. The 17-year-old boy behind the wheel is briefly detained and ultimately released to his family with 15 traffic tickets while police continue to investigate the crash. Meanwhile, at the crash site, witnesses call 911 and rush to the girls’ aid; one is declared dead on the scene, while the other passes away minutes later at a hospital.  The day after teens Maria and Isabella are killed in a hit-and-run, officers arrest the 17-year-old driver, now charged as a minor with 2 counts of first-degree murder. Union County prosecutors keep the driver’s identity private; however, traffic summons records reveal his name: Vincent P. Battiloro. Battiloro is familiar with law enforcement, his father being an officer with Chatham PD, and his uncle, Chief of Westfield PD. Fake German heiress Anna Sorokin conned her way into Manhattan society. Posing as Anna Delvey, a German heiress, she swindled banks, hotels, and friends out of more than $200,000. She forged checks to get money from banks and charmed people into paying for extravagant meals and travel. Sorokin was convicted on a handful of grand larceny and theft of services charges. After serving her time, the 31-year-old was released from prison and is now fighting against deportation, but once again, Sorokin has managed to land on her feet. First, she landed a deal with Netflix for the rights to her life story, then began selling her artwork, and then Sorokin said her home confinement and social media ban are “more restrictive” than jail. Sorokin is back in the headlines, saying the weight she gained in prison is "embarrassing." Delvey tells Page Six the food in prison is the worst. Sean 'Diddy' Combs, disgraced music mogul, 55, was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution over the summer and sentenced today to 50 months, 4 years, and 2 months in prison for those convictions. Subramanian required a more structured argument and that his attorneys pare down his wardrobe options before granting the request. The night the decomposed remains of Celeste Rivas Hernandez were found in David Anthony Burke's Tesla, police in Hempstead, Texas, were dispatched to Burke's parents' home. After receiving a 911 call of shots fired, a woman screaming in the background, and a report of a dead person at the location, officers approach the house with guns drawn. Burke's shocked parents open the door, and Burke's father says, "Someone is messing with us." The details adding fuel to the mystery of the death of the troubled girl as we learn  deputies were called to her home 11 times in one year, including three times, March 19, 2024. This is the day Celeste is seen on surveillance video near a liquor store on the same block as her house, walk-running around 7 a.m.  The investigation escalated as investigators seized electronics and computers from Burke's rented Hollywood Hills mansion. Their purpose was to locate signs of blood. Logan Federico, 22, takes a break from two jobs and classes at South Piedmont Community College in Waxhaw, North Carolina, to spend a weekend visiting friends who attend USC in Columbia, South Carolina. The aspiring teacher and her friends were returning from a night out just before three a.m. The young men and women quickly disperse to their rooms, planning to sleep late Saturday morning. Unbeknownst to them, a burglar is on the prowl in the quiet neighborhood, rummaging through nearby homes. Most of the neighborhood is home to USC fraternity brothers, and with frequent late-night house parties and each roommate on a different schedule, doors are seldom locked. The burglar gains access to the neighboring home no problem—walking right through one of the doors without a sound to alert anyone of his presence. Just after 11 a.m. Saturday morning, the brothers and their visiting friends are woken with a start—a gunshot just rang out inside their home. The panicked young men and women gather in the living room, but Logan hasn’t come out of the guest room. Her friends burst through the door to check on her and find Logan unconscious, lying in a pool of blood. It appears her belongings have been ransacked. After nearly three weeks of testimony, a jury takes just three hours to find 75-year-old Donna Adelson guilty of all three charges levied against her. Adelson is convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit killing, and first-degree murder in the hit on her former son-in-law Dan Markel. Now, Adelson has filed a motion for a new trial, claiming multiple instances of jury misconduct, bias from the judge, and a lack of evidence to support the verdict. The 18-page motion comes just two weeks after Adelson’s conviction and includes a request to interview two of the jurors who decided her fate. Adelson accuses the jury foreperson, juror number seven, of failing to follow the judge’s instructions on speaking about the case. Adelson claims Jacey Maxen Walker posted a TikTok about her selection to the jury on the third day of trial, then deleted the post. Adelson writes that Maxen Walker then went viral for her posts discussing details of the case immediately after the verdict. A Tesla key card allegedly found near David Anthony Burke, also known as D4vd, Hollywood Hills home, raises questions in the Celeste Rivas Hernandez murder. Conspiracy theories abound, with one suggesting Celeste died due to an overdose; those around her panicked and hid the body, fearing the death would expose Burke to scrutiny about her age. This could also explain why they wouldn't call 911. Or someone is framing Burke for the death of Celeste.  Multiple people are known to have been driving Burke's Tesla. Steve Fischer says a crime definitely occurred, as Celeste did not put herself in the Tesla. The Tesla has multiple cameras, including a front-facing camera, two cameras on the windshield, two cameras on the side fenders, and a rear-facing camera, for a 360-degree view of the vehicle's environment. While driving, the Dash-Cam feature uses the exterior cameras to record footage in a loop, continuously capturing the car's surroundings. The cameras send high-resolution images to the vehicle's onboard computer, which analyzes the data using a neural network. The data is combined with other sensors to create a comprehensive understanding of the environment. Burke's Tesla was not reported as "stolen" or "missing"; it was reported as an abandoned vehicle by a neighbor. This is the report that led to law enforcement coming out on August 27 and ticketing the vehicle the first time and marking the tires on the car to check for movement. On September 3, the Tesla was ticketed again and towed on September 5. Video from a liquor store near Celeste's home shows the teen just after 7a.m. on March 19, 2024, walking down the street wearing a black hoodie and white pants.  On the video, the teen is seen jogging around a corner and alternating between a walk and a run before vanishing. Thirty years after Susan Smith drove her car into a lake with her two sons strapped in their car seats, she sought parole. A parole board denied her request, and a suitor later revealed that Smith had dreamed of appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.” She is reportedly “devastated” that her bid for parole failed. Now we learn from shocking texts that Smith is being sent money by multiple men with whom she is in contact from behind bars.  After high school, Susan Leigh Vaughan married David Smith. They had two sons, but the marriage faltered despite the children. The couple separated multiple times. During one separation, Susan began dating Tom Findlay, the single son of a wealthy mill owner. Smith imagined a future with Findlay until she received a "Dear John" letter from him, stating he did not want an instant family. On the night of October 25, Susan Smith knocked on the door of a house near John D. Long Lake. Hysterical, she told the man who answered to call the police. She claimed an armed Black man had carjacked her at a red light, with her two boys—3-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alex—still in the car. For days, Susan repeated increasingly inconsistent versions of the carjacking story. Eventually, Smith confessed. There had been no carjacker. Feeling desperate, alone, and suicidal, she had taken her sons for a drive. At John D. Long Lake, she put the car in neutral, jumped out, and watched as it sank. Scuba divers later found the vehicle with the boys still strapped in their seats. Since her conviction and incarceration, tabloid reports have alleged that Smith told prison investigators about four sexual encounters with Lieutenant Houston Cagle, a supervisor at South Carolina’s Women’s Correctional Institution.  Cagle admitted to having sex with Smith and another inmate. In August 2000, he was charged with the offenses, pleaded guilty, and served three months in jail. Captain Alfred Rowe also pleaded guilty to having sex with Smith and received five years of probation. Over the years, several men have written to Smith, fueling her hopes for a life beyond prison. The infamous Tallahassee murder of Mike Williams is being retold in a new documentary series on Hulu. This four-part docuseries, "Mr. & Mrs. Murder," looks at the "twisted story" of two "close-knit couples" involved in the murder that took 17 years to solve. When police first found Mike Williams' clothes in a Florida lake, they speculated he had been eaten by alligators, but a deadly plot involving a cheating wife and a $1.75 million insurance policy eventually floated to the top of their suspicions. A new investigation surrounding Luigi Mangione. The retail giant Shein is trying to figure out who used a likeness of the accused murderer in an ad campaign on the company's website. It has now been removed but the image of Mangione was used to model a white, short-sleeved shirt.   A spokesperson from Shein says the likeness was provided by a third-party vendor.   Mangione has been indicted on first-degree murder in furtherance of terrorism.  He is also charged with two counts of murder in the second degree, with one of those counts also denoting Mangione murder of CEO Brian Thompson as an act of terrorism. Now the Federal government is seeking the death penalty. Attorney General Pam Bondi directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty which marks the first such directive by the Trump administration.   New York, where the murder occurred, has abolished the death penalty, and Mangione's lawyers are attempting to block the federal death penalty pursuit, arguing the move is a political stunt.  Police questioned Mangione's mom the day before he was captured. She told officers that the shooting 'might be something that she could see him doing.' Indicted for the first-degree murder of his wife, Suzanne, Barry Morphew has been held in jail with a three million dollar cash-only bond. After turning down Morphew's request to lower his bond to a $500 thousand dollar cash-only bond, Judge Amanda Hopkins changes the bond to allow Morphew to use a 'surety,' a bail bonds company, meaning Morphew would only have to come up with 10 to 15 percent of the $3 million. Friends and supporters provide the funds, and bail bondsman Richard Jordan of Denver's A-1 Bail Bonds gets Morphew out of jail to await his murder trial. Morphew's bond restrictions begin with a GPS monitor, a ban on leaving Colorado, and surrendering his passport. He is also under strict house arrest and can only leave his home for medical emergencies or meetings with attorneys. He's not allowed to consume alcohol or controlled substances. There is a mandatory protection order barring him from contacting witnesses or the victim's family, except his daughters, one of whom was with the bail bondsman to get Morphew out of jail. D4vd was living in a home leased by his manager, Josh Marshal, but since police served a search warrant looking for blood at the residence, the singer has decided not to live in the $20,000-a-month home. The home was leased from the owner, Mladen Trifunovic, who says Marshal signed the lease in February and he didn't know D4vd was living in the house. Regardless, after the raid on the home, Trifunovic says they didn't want to live there anymore and are breaking the lease. Trifunovic says he doesn't know what was found or what kind of tests were conducted in the house. Now, police are scouring the area around the home where the Tesla with the dismembered and decomposing body in the frunk was parked before being towed, and they are looking for video. The rental home has security cameras positioned at all entry points, in the backyard, and on the street so people can't go in or out of the house without being recorded.  Even as police investigate, photos are circulating alleging Celeste was with D4vd at his concert in Silver Springs, Maryland, on August 24. If true, these photos create a timeline from August 24 until her dismembered, decomposing body is found in D4vd's Tesla in an impound lot on September 8, one day after her 15th birthday. It is reported the Tesla was parked on the street for a month before it was reported abandoned on September 3rd and towed to the impound lot on September 5. The footage shows a person looking very much like Celeste Rivas on the balcony to the side and back of the stage. This is an area usually reserved for backstage pass access only. Her hair is the same style as Celeste's, and she is wearing a black tube top and ripped blue jeans. Sean Combs wants out of jail. His attorney suggested the judge release the convicted rapper on time served. Combs will be sentenced next week. Combs’ attorneys argue that the government’s case relied on extremely “inflammatory” evidence to obtain the convictions on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution that would not have been admitted to court had Combs only been prosecuted under the Mann Act. Prosecutors disagree that the issue warrants Combs a new trial, claiming there are no legal grounds for the judge to overturn the convictions, and Combs should be sentenced on October 3rd. Should attorneys fail to convince Judge Subramanian he should be acquitted or granted a new trial, Sean Combs will face sentencing on October 3. Combs could potentially be jailed for more than 20 years if the court adds aggravating factors suggested by the government. Prosecutors initially said they would suggest 4-5 years imprisonment, but later indicated they would be seeking a substantially longer sentence. Meanwhile, Combs’ attorneys argue he should receive no more than 14 months, amounting essentially to just time served. Diddy’s defense sentencing packet describes several reasons the music mogul deserves a light sentence. Diddy claims 6–12 months per count accurately reflects the severity of the crimes, and he’s already spent 13 months in deplorable conditions at the MDC. Diddy cites his incident-free stay, newfound sobriety, and founding an ‘entrepreneurship’ class behind bars as additional reasons for a short sentence. Combs also wants his freedom back as quickly as possible so he can return to supporting his seven children and 84-year-old mother.
