'It's Mental' Chelsea FanCast #455

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Tony Glover and ESPN's Liam Twomey to look back at the defeat against Everton and the win against Dynamo Kiev. Just an average week in the life of a Chelsea supporter...On the show tonight we discuss a game of two halves if ever there was one; Chelsea firing blanks again; Chelsea’s poor defending again and Chelsea losing away again. In part two we ask have the players reached their limit or has Sarri and what is it about mentality? Has Sarri run out of excuses and why can’t Chelsea bounce back from setbacks? And with Chelsea’s terrible away form, is it more realistic to aim for winning the Europa League than finishing in the top 4.In part three we look back at last Thursday’s Europa Cup tie against Dynamo Kiev and look at the Quarter Final draw against Slavia Prague and a route to the final via Benfica or Frankfurt which could see a final against either Arsenal or Napoli. We’ll also talk about the announcement that the Club have frozen season ticket prices but have increased ticket prices for members and general admission. In part four we have four absolutely superb emails to read out and all the usual parish notices. Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Clayton Beerman join Johnny Burrow to look back at the win Europa Cup win against Dynamo Kiev the draw against Wolves last weekend and this weekends match against Everton.Liam Twomey, ESPN's Chelsea Correspondent joins us on the phone to talk about Sarri's comments after the win against Dynamo Kiev; the reaction to the Europa Cup draw where Chelsea play Slavia Prague in the quarter finals and his thoughts on the match against Everton this weekend. It was a great performance against Kiev but are they no more than a pub team? Does Giroud deserve more credit for his perfect hat-trick and a regular starting place? Ruben Loftus Cheek & Callum Hudson-Odoi both started and got 90 mins. Do Chelsea look quicker, more threatening & direct when they play? Is Kovacic more suited to be Jorginho’s understudy and did Sarri miss an opportunity in not playing Ampadu?Chelsea have been drawn against Slavia Prague in the quarter final which seems like a good draw in a fantastic City? Although Slavia are massive underdogs they shouldn’t be underestimated having beaten Sevilla and if we beat them Chelsea could still meet Arsenal or Napoli in the final so are the team confident? After last week’s draw, is the match against Everton this weekend a must win to get a Top 4 finish? Everton away is often a tough match, are they a bogey side for us? Everton parked the bus at the Bridge in the 0-0 draw, will they be easier to break down at Goodison and is Chelsea’s away form still a worry? In this week's opposition view we ask an Everton writer and fan has Everton’s season & Silva disappointed and given the expectations will Silva survive this season? And we ask how he sees the match going and what his score prediction is.To wrap up we give our predictions for the Everton v Chelsea match, and answer this week's Chelsea FanCast Quiz: Who played for both Chelsea and Everton? 'Opportunity Knocked' Chelsea FanCast #454

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Joe Tweedie to look back at Chelsea's last gasp draw against Wolves and the routine win against Dynamo Kiev.On the show tonight we rue Chelsea’s missed opportunity to get in to the top four while considering the fact that Wolves are a decent nuggety side. But are teams genuinely difficult to break down or does possession-based football without penetration simply not work?In part two we discuss Sarri’s change to 4:2:3:1; ask is Hazard a blessing or a curse and argue that Loftus-Cheek, if fit, should start every game. With key positions and players not working on the pitch we ask should the players or Sarri be blamed. And why are the fans so unhappy at the moment and is this the main reason why the atmosphere is so poor at the moment? We'll also explain how you can vote Chelsea FanCast for Best Podcast in the Football Blogging Awards! In part three we look back at last Thursday’s Europa Cup tie against Dynamo Kiev and look ahead to the second leg in Kiev this week. We ask what’s the best route to the Champions League – top 4 or Europa Cup and does Sarri have to do one or the other to survive? In part four we have four absolutely superb emails to read out. Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd join Johnny Burrow to look back at a the wins against Fulham in the Premier League, Dynamo Kiev in the Europa Cup and look ahead at a potentially tough fixture against Wolves this weekend.Dom Fifield, the London Football Correspondent of The Guardian joins us on the phone to talk about the news that FIFA has denied Chelsea's request to freeze the transfer ban while they appeal against the punishment handed out. Does this mean Chelsea will be unable to sign players from this summer's window or will the ban ultimately be delayed as it was for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid? Will the ban mean Chelsea will have to blood their youth players and how safe is Sarri in his job?Chelsea supporters were frustrated with Sarri's team selection against Dynamo Kiev on Thursday night, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi left on the bench, But with Pedro on fire and a stunning Willian free kick Chelsea strolled through to win 3-0. Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi combined well to score the third so was Sarri right to bring them on late in the game or should they have started? With a 3-0 lead to take in to the second leg, is the tie done and dusted?Chelsea made hard work of beating neighbours Fulham last weekend, in part due to the fatigue of the players after a touch week but it also revealed the conundrum for Sarri in whether to defend deep but not create or press high and pose more of a threat but looking vulnerable defensively. At least Jorginho and Higuain, his main Sarriball disciples both found the back of the net.Wolves beat Chelsea 2-1 back in November and are a dangerous side, so can we expect Sarri to start his tried and tested line up, many of whom got a rest on Thursday. How should Sarri set up - high press or defend deeper? With the battle for top four now back on is this a must win game for Chelsea and what would it mean for Sarri should they lose? This week's opposition view is with Harry Mansell from the Wolves 77 Club and we has this season exceeded his expectations? Does he worry that Espirito Santo will get poached? Who have the stand out players for Wolves been this season and which Chelsea players does he think will be the threat to Wolves on Sunday? Finally we ask Harry how he sees the match going and get a score prediction out of him.To wrap up we give our predictions for the Chelsea v Wolves match, relive some memories of past matches against Wolves and answer this week's Chelsea FanCast Quiz: Who played for both Chelsea and Wolves.Plus a plug for your vote for Chelsea FanCast as best podcast in the Football Blogging Awards! "Freya'd Nerves" Chelsea FanCast #453

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Alex 'the Girl who likes Balls' Churchill to look back to a great and ever so funny victory against bitter rivals Spurs and a more tense than it should have been win against Fulham. On the show tonight we applaud Kepa’s man of the match come back; question Chelsea’s defensive fragility and ponder Sarri’s dichotomy with defending and attacking. In part two we check that we were not hallucinating when we saw Jorginho score; applaud a proper striker’s goal with Higuain opening up the scoring; ponder why Sarri won’t give the youth more game time when he has a squad full of knackered players and breathe again as Chelsea look be in a better position to finish in the top four. But how difficult will it be? We look at the comparative run ins for Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Utd to see how it might pan out.In part three we look back at a great and ever so funny 2-0 defeat of Spurs last Wednesday and look ahead to this Thursday’s Europa Cup tie against Dynamo Kiev.In part four we have four absolutely superb emails to read out. Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge and Clayton Beerman join Aaron Paul to look back at a great win against Spurs in midweek and look forward to this weekend's match against neighbours Fulham.Oliver Harbord Chelsea correspondent for Football.London, joins us on the phone to report back on Friday's presser with Maurizio Sarri talking about Claudio Ranieri getting the sack; will Kepa be back in action against Fulham having been on the naughty step; will Sarri change his tactical approach for each game and what are his thoughts on Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Gonzalo Higuain and club Captain Gary Cahill?Look back at the match against Spurs on Wednesday, it doesn't get much better than Trippier's comedy goal, but has Sarri been listening to the players about how to set up tactically? Should Harry Kane have been punished for his 'headbutt' on Cesar Azpilicueta? While Chelsea were outstanding defensively, is the fact that we only had one shot on target a cause for concern and has victory over our biggest rivals given Sarri a stay of execution?Chelsea came up just short against Man City in the Carabao Cup Final last weekend, losing out on penalties, but all the post-match talk was about Kepa refusing to be substituted for Willy Caballero. We discuss the fall out about 'Kepa-gate' and ask whether the resolution of it has actually galvanised the squad and strengthened Sarri's position.Looking ahead to this weekend's match against Fulham we discuss whether we should be concerned by yet another match against a team who have sacked their manager and may benefit from 'manager bounce'. How should Sarri set up tactically and which team will he pick and is there any way Fulham can win against Chelsea? This week's opposition view is with Jack Kelly from the Fulhamish podcast. We ask Jack whether Ranieri should have been sacked and what are his expectations of Scott Parker? Can Fulham get anything out of the game and how does he see it going? To wrap up we give our predictions for the Fulham v Chelsea match and answer this week's Chelsea FanCast Quiz: How many goals did Peter Osgood score against Fulham? Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio 22/02/19

Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd and Alex 'The Girl Who Likes Balls' Churchill join Aaron Paul to discuss a trilogy of Cup matches where Chelsea were humbled by Man Utd in the FA Cup, beat Malmo in the Europa Cup and take on Man City in the Carabao Cup final.Liam Twomey Chelsea correspondent for ESPN, joins us on the phone to report back on this weeks press news starting with the report on a Transfer Ban for Chelsea; Sarri's comments about Callum Hudson-Odoi in the post match presser after the Malmo game and the rumours that Steve Holland might be in the frame to take over from Sarri.Talking of the match against Malmo, Chelsea were dreadful, clueless and nervous until they scored and then the confidence seemed to flow back. But were they playing Sarriball? Plus N'Golo Kante showed us again why he is one of the best and Hudson-Odoi had arguably his best performance in a Chelsea shirt.Did the limp defeat against Man Utd in the FA Cup on Monday night mark the beginning of the end for Maurizio Sarri? His tactics were picked apart by United; his substitutions were criminally insane and the players played with no belief. Is it any wonder then that the supporters have lost belief in him and his 'football'?Long time listener to the Chelsea FanCast, Fredric Karberg, joins us in the studio to talk about following Chelsea from Sweden and to talk about the support Chelsea gets from the Swedish Blues.Looking ahead to the Carabao Cup final against Man City, we ask will it be another disaster if Sarri doesn’t change? Is there any way Chelsea can win and if Sarri makes the same mistakes and we get hammered will he be fired & will it be deserved? We also have Dave Walker joining us on the phone from 'Read but never Red' to give us the City fans perspective on the match. To wrap up we answer this week's Chelsea FanCast Quiz: Name the Chelsea scorers in all of Chelsea’s League Cup finals? 'Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City' Chelsea FanCast #451

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Liam Twomey, ESPN's Chelsea correspondent to look back at a very disappointing and somewhat mutinous night at Stamford Bridge where Man Utd knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup.On the show tonight we discuss the nightmare at Stamford Bridge, Sarri’s shortcomings, the substitutions and the increasing toxicity and vitriol aimed at the manager by the supporters who he seems to have lost. In part two we ask does Sarri have to go now? Is his position untenable? Is the situation worse than it was with Rafa, AVB and Scolari? What must happen to limit the damage and what potential replacements are there longer term. Zidane and Laurent Blanc have been mentioned in dispatches but what about Frank Lampard? In parts three and four, as you can imagine we have had loads of emails with Chelsea supporters venting their spleen at what’s going on with the club so we have dedicated two parts to read them all out! It's all part of the therapy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio 15/02/2019

Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd join Aaron Paul to look back at Chelsea's first away win of 2019 against Malmo in the Europa Cup and much as it pains us we revisit the horror of last weekend's 6-0 defeat against Man City. We also look forward to Monday nights FA Cup tie against Man Utd.Ollie Harbord, Chelsea correspondent for Football.London, joins us on the phone to report back on Friday's press conference with Gianfranco Zola. Why was Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck at Sarri's press conference and watching the warm up against Malmo from the touchline? What does this bode for Sarri's future at Chelsea and what too of the future for Callum Hudson-Odoi who didn't get a place in the starting line up against Malmo? The win against Malmo, while not completely convincing, was at least an away victory. Annoyingly Chelsea switched off allowing Malmo to score and get back in to the tie, putting more pressure on Chelsea for the return leg than they would have liked. But does it underline Chelsea's defensive issues and is it a question of concentration or Sarri's tactics. The shocking defeat to Man City heaped more pressure on Sarri and suspicions that he may get the sack sooner rather than later, but is he solely to blame for Chelsea's 'up and down' form or should the players and the Club shoulder the blame too? Is Sarri stupid, arrogant or both? Will the Board pull the trigger if it looks like Chelsea will miss out on Champions' League qualification? Will anything ever change in terms of managers being wasted unless changes happen in the Boardroom, a willingness to spend the money need to revamp the squad and the hiring of a Director of Football?Looking ahead to the FA Cup tie against Man Utd we recognise it's importance as a classic cup tie, but how important is it for Sarri's future? Martin Blackburn from the Sun joins us on the phone to give us the 'Opposition View' and believes that Utd's loss to PSG in the Champions League will make them more determined against Chelsea on Monday as their last chance to win a trophy this season. To wrap up we answer this week's Chelsea FanCast Quiz: Since 1945 how many times has Chelsea lost 6-0 and what year and against which teams did they lose?Chelsea Fancast is broadcast on Love Sport Radio every Friday from 7.00-9.00 pm. Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Alex 'The Girl Who Likes Balls' Churchill and Joe Tweeds to look back at the horrific 6-0 hiding dished out by Man City on Sunday (from behind the sofa of course). On the show tonight we discuss the goals that hit Chelsea for six. Could they have been avoided? Was it just a bad day at the office or have the warning signs been there for months and how much of it was down to City just being phenomenally good? In part two we try to give some historical context to the defeat – just how bad was it; and with many Chelsea supporters calling for Sarri to be sacked we mount the case for the prosecution and the case for the defence and ask is there a realistic solution to the perpetual chaos Chelsea find themselves in. In part three we have an interview with this month’s Hyundai Extra Mile competition winner who is an 8-year-old girl called Beth and to give us some perspective and to prove there are more important things in life than football we’ll be plugging Kenny Rice’s forthcoming do in aid of Leukemia and wishing the best to Chelsea cult hero Mickey Thomas who faces his own battle with cancer. Finally, Jonathan has some great emails to read out this week and I wrap up with the usual Parish notices. Stamford Chidge, Clayton Beerman and Jonathan Kydd join Aaron Paul to look back at the 2-2 draw with Mol Vidi in Hungary, last week's superb 2-0 win against Man City and look ahead to this weekend's match against Brighton & Hove Albion. In a somewhat meaningless 2-2 draw against Mol Vidi, at least some of the youth got a run out, but why were Chelsea going through the motions? And with Morata going off injured, will it hamper a potential transfer and will we need a replacement? We also discuss the fall out from the anti-Semitic chant heard during the match and where Chelsea and the supporters go from here.Looking at the fantastic 2-0 win against Man City, something which none of us expected we ask do the players just raise their game for a big match and why can’t they bring this mentality, energy, determination and commitment every week? With such a massive statement by Chelsea, is this a vindication for Sarri and proof that he does have a Plan B? And with a superb atmosphere, it was a timely reminder of what football is about; suffering the lows to enjoy the highs. With Chelsea facing Brighton in Sussex-by-the Sea on Sunday, we beat them 4-0 last time out, but Brighton may not be push overs this season. We ponder what will Sarri’s starting XI be and will he go for Giroud up front or Hazard?Ady Packham from Albion Roar joins us on the phone for the 'Opposition View' and discusses Chris Hughton's management; Glen Murray's goal scoring; Brighton's impressive home form and which players will cause Chelsea problems. To wrap up we reveal the answers to this week's quiz - name the Chelsea players who have double barreled or hyphenated surnames. With City visiting this weekend, has Sarri raised the white flag? What is it about Blackouts, mentality and leadership and why Alonso and not Emerson. While the 2-1 defeat to Wolves was beyond disappointing, Chelsea actually played quite well and had they put away the chances they had it would have been a different result. But, the lack of cohesion after Wolves scored is clearly very worrying. The same could be said about the Fulham match where had it not been for Loftus Cheek scoring after coming on as a sub, we may have seen a similar result as we did at Molineaux.Ryan Dellinger from North Carolina, USA, joins us in the studio to talk about supporting Chelsea from across the pond. Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Clayton Beerman to look back at Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday. On the show tonight we’ll be asking whether Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ready for the first team and why do Chelsea seem to be going backwards at the moment after a good start to the season and indeed to this game? And are both Alonso and Azpi culpable for the poor crosses and delivery at the moment. In part two we doff our cap to Kepa who is establishing himself as a very fine keeper; the next in a long line of decent Chelsea keepers. We ask is Hazard being overburdened and should we be more patient with Sarri and the players. And what is going on with the atmosphere, which at times was as turgid as the football yesterday. In part three we discuss what the prospects for Chelsea are against Wolves on Wednesday and against City on Saturday; plus a couple of great emails for Jonathan to read out with questions for us to answer. In part four we have a few more emails for Jonathan to read out plus the usual round up of worthy Chelsea causes. 'So Far, So Good' Chelsea FanCast #441

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Clayton Beerman to reflect on Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri's start to the season, plus an interview with Neil Smith about his book 'The A to Z of Chelsea "Where Were You When We Were Shocking?'On the show tonight we’ll be pondering whether Chelsea and Sarri’s start to the season has been a case of ‘so far, so good’? Who has impressed and who hasn’t? What are the critical success factors to ensure a successful season? With Gary Cahill looking certain to leave in January will there be any other departures and arrivals and what would be the measure of success this season? In part two and three we have the full interview recorded with Neil ‘Smiffy’ Smith a couple of weeks ago about his book 'The A to Z of Chelsea "Where Were You When We Were Shocking?' Neil’s book covers his reminiscences of 23 Chelsea away games from 1974 to 1995, taken from his personal diaries, the days when Chelsea were often, indeed, shocking. Evocative and heartfelt, funny and honest; from defeat at Queens Park Rangers to defeat at Zaragosa, via Tottenham, York, Fulham, York, Everton, a 6-0 defeat at Rotherham and many more. He tells us what it was actually like to travel to away games 30-40 years ago when heavy police escorts were the norm, and real ingenuity was needed to get a pre-match pint. (You can buy Neil's book from Amazon or from the cfcuk stall)In part four, we have a couple of emails for Jonathan to read; we look at the 'Americanisation' of Football and give a tribute to Joe Cole who retired last week and we have our usual Chelsea Specials. Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd and Clayton Beerman are joined by Love Sport's Aaron Paul to have a look back at Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Bate Borisov in the Europa League and last week's 3-1 win against Crystal Palace as well as looking ahead to Chelsea v Everton this weekend.Rounding up the Chelsea news this week, we discuss why a European Super League will be a disaster for English football; Chelsea in the market for Callum Wilson for £35m in January; Ruben Loftus Cheek being recalled to the England squad and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba announcing his retirement.Looking back at the Europa League match against Bate Borisov, we ask was this Chelsea's worst performance of the season? With Bate hitting the woodwork 4 times, when will Chelsea’s luck run out? With Giroud scoring his first goal since May will this be the confidence boost he needs to find the onion bag more regularly? And with qualification secured and the job done, will Sarri look to rest players in the final group match? We have an interview with Neil 'Smiffy' Smith, author of "Where Were You When We Were Shocking", who's first Chelsea match was in 1966, since when he has been to over 2,000 matches. Neil gives us an insight in to what it was like following Chelsea in an era when we lost more than we won and reveals that thanks to the bond between the supporters, it was the pre and post match that more than made up for it.Re-visiting the win against Crystal Palace last weekend, we praise Morata, Jorginho and Sarri for the great team spirit he is building. To wrap up we take a look at Chelsea v Everton on Sunday with the 'Opposition View' from Tom Clarke from the Toffee Blues Podcast and discuss Sarri's chances of breaking the record of match wins as a new manager and Chelsea's excellent record against Everton at home over the last 24 years before revealing our predictions. All this plus calls from Kendall, Mark and Dan.Chelsea Fancast is broadcast on Love Sport Radio every Friday from 7.00-9.00 pm. The Kerry Dixon Show 08/11/18

Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea, Kerry Dixon, to look back at Chelsea's 3-1 win against Crystal Palace and ahead to the Europa Cup match against Bate Borisov and Sunday's Premier League clash against Everton.Chelsea finally got their just deserts against Crystal Palace on Sunday but the South Londoners didn't make it easy and the match was only really settled by Eden Hazard coming on as a sub. Kerry was encouraged by Morata scoring two goals and putting himself about a bit, but still thinks it's too early to pass judgement on the Spaniard. With Sarri's Chelsea pushing Man City hard and still to be beaten in any competition, Kerry believes that as well as the quality of football improving, Sarri has generated a great team spirit.Looking ahead to Bate Borisov, several key players have been rested including three quarters of the defence and Alvaro Morata, however, Hazard, Kante and Jorginho who probably need a rest have made the trip. Kerry believes that whoever Sarri picks should be capable of beating Bate pretty much ensuring qualification to the last 32. Hopefully Ruben Loftus Cheek will get another chance to impress.Everton visit the Bridge on Sunday and although they had a poor start to the season, Silva their new manager seems to be getting them performing much better recently. Another opponent not to be taken lightly, Kerry still believes that Chelsea will have enough to beat Everton and keep the unbeaten run going. Hosted on Acast. Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd and Alex Churchill are joined by Love Sport's Aaron Paul to have a look back at Chelsea's 3-2 victory over 'Frank Lampard's' Derby County and Burnley v Chelsea and look ahead to Chelsea v Crystal Palace this Sunday.Ollie Harbord, Football.London's Chelsea correspondent, joins us on the phone to report back on Sarri's press conference on Friday: Hazard fit for 45 mins? Kante mentally ready; the good start being unexpected; Gary Cahill is the Captain; Barkley is important and Ruben Loftus Cheek has improved but needs to keep improving & won't go on loan. Looking back at the Carabao Cup match against Derby County, we discuss the great reception for Frank Lampard & Jody Morris; a bonkers match where Derby played well and were unlucky not to win. Was the dodgy defending from Emerson, Cahill, Christensen, Zappacosta a question of being not good enough or just rusty? Are Frank & Jody a future Chelsea management team? We have former Chelsea player and Manager, John Hollins on the phone to share his memories of colleague Ken Shellito who sadly passed away at the age of 78 this week. Ken, one of 'Docherty's Diamonds', played for Chelsea from 1959-1965 and also managed Chelsea from 1977-1978.Chelsea Chadder joins us on the phone to talk about his new book '100 Memorable Matches' delving in to some of Chelsea's greatest and not so great matches from 1905 to 2018. The Kerry Dixon Show 03/11/18

Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea legend Kerry Dixon to look back to the wins against Derby County and Burnley and look ahead to this weekends match against Crystal PalaceThere was a great reception for Frank Lampard & Jody Morris as Chelsea took on Derby County in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday in a somewhat bonkers match – Derby played well and were unlucky not to win. Was this in part due to some dodgy Chelsea defending with the B team defence of Emerson, Cahill, Christensen and Zappacosta - are they not good enough or just rusty? On the plus side we had more minutes for Loftus Cheek and Willian continuing his recent good form. What did Kerry think of the performances of Mason Mount & Tomori? With Chelsea still unbeaten in all games and Bournemouth next in the quarter finals, can we smell another trophy? How important is it for Sarri? Was it performance of the season against Burnley or were Burnley just poor? Should we be considered serious title challengers?Did the win against Burnley prove that Chelsea can play well, score and win without Hazard? With Chelsea playing Crystal Palace on Sunday, we hope that Hazard will be fit. The rest of the team picks itself but will Barkley to start ahead of Kovacic? Finally Chidge and Kerry discuss the need to keep the unbeaten run going; keep pressure on at the top and show no complacency. Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs could all drop points this weekend and we have tougher games against Everton at home and spurs away next.Apologies, but there is a technical fault on the recording this week with an echo on Kerry's contribution. And with Chelsea purring without Hazard, can we envisage a future without him?In part two we give the plaudits to Ross Barkley; Willian and Alvaro Morata and pick up on Sarri’s comments that Barkley and Loftus Cheek could play together. In part three, we look back at the Bate Borisov match and Ruben Loftus Cheek’s hat-trick and look ahead to the return of Frank Lampard and Jody Morris on Wednesday when Chelsea play Derby County in the Carabao cup. We also give you another chance to enter the competition to win a very rare DVD of the Bobby Tambling film – Bobby Tambling 202 – signed by the great man himself. In part four we have a roundup of all the Chelsea supporter news and we’ll be reflecting on a grim weekend for football supporters with the news of the death in a helicopter crash of Leicester City’s owner and Glenn Hoddle being seriously ill with a heart attack.
