The World of Gog and Magog
Chris White, in this 6th edisode of his study on the war of Gog and Magog, dives into the context of the passage with an attempt to discover what can be known about the people and political situation during the war.
Prophetic Lessons from Covid for the Watchman: “Own It”
Jake McCandless continues his series, "Prophetic Lessons from Covid". In this series Jake reflects on the Covid-19 pandemic and the faith-fallout with it, seeing it as a “test run” or “shot across the bow”. For those tracking in Bible prophecy before the pandemic they had the unique experience of being warned, being called to try to warn, and then seeing it come to pass in some way. Very few prophetic voices have been able to see such a hint of what they were warned about come to pass. It’s time we reflect on the possible prophetic lessons from that time. What lessons can be learned prophetically from Covid? This episode is for those who have been tracking prophecy and those new to it. Jake shares his greatest regret from the start of Stand Firm to Covid. This is a regret he doesn’t want to repeat again. The regret comes from a battle every prophetic voice has had to battle. Jake calls on watchmen to "own it"—to own their weird. This is what all the Biblical prophets had to do. Also check out the Last Days Overcomer Conferences at https://lastdaysovercomer.org.
The Meaning of Dispensations
Ron Wallace teaches about "dispensations". This study is crucial for understanding God's plan for the entire human race and how God communicates His promise of salvation from sin to all people. The word dispensation is a good old English word from the King James translation of the Bible. Its presence and meaning certainly must be examined. While Ron suggests that the fact of dispensations cannot be Biblically disputed, he also suggests that his perspective on dispensations will be challenging to both dispensationalists and non-dispensationalists.
The Gog Magog War: Armageddon Theory Refuted?
Chris White, in this 5th instalment of his Gog Magog War study, deals with the theory that the Gog-Magog war is to be equated with the battle of Armageddon.
Prophetic Lessons from Covid: Keep Seeking
Jake McCandless continues his series, "Prophetic Lessons from Covid". In this series Jake reflects on the Covid-19 pandemic and the faith fallout with it, seeing it as a “test run” or “shot across the bow”. For those tracking in Bible prophecy before the pandemic, they had the unique experience of being warned, being called to try to warn, and then seeing it come to pass in some way. Very few prophetic voices have been able to see such a hint of what they were warned about come to pass. It’s time we reflect on the possible prophetic lessons from that time. What lessons can be learned prophetically from covid? This episode is for those who have been tracking prophecy and those new to it. Though the previous lessons drawn from "Covid for the Watchman" have been encouraging, this third lesson is a warning. We all want more details, and we have a tendency to fill in the blanks. Providing extra details can hurt the credibility of the watchman and the Biblical message. Jake provides examples and explanations concnering the danger of prophetic voices filling in the blanks. Refuting the Theory of Imminence
Ron Wallace will revisit the theory of the "imminent return" of Jesus Christ and show that the Bible indicates there are at least 9 separate factors that refute that theory. The theory of imminence has been taught by others and clearly refuted: The disciples did not expect the Lord's return in their lifetime; Nor could the Lord return until several major events would occur first; The return of the Lord will not, and cannot, be imminent UNTIL the antichrist arises and begins the tribulation at the midpoint of Daniel's 70th week; It is after that event that it can be said, "no one knows the day or hour."
Why El Shaddai Implies New Jerusalem’s Shape
Janet Willis discusses how God’s name El Shaddai can mean “God of the Mountain.” In a previous podcast Janet explained how Ezekiel 28 connects Eden and the holy mountain of God. The fact that the name for God, El Shaddai, is used early in biblical history forms a significant word picture. But it also is used in relation to our future. We will examine these critical clues from all over the Bible and see how they point to the concept that God’s city New Jerusalem is shaped like a mountain. Janet has also authored an article on this subject in Biblical Prophecy Magazine, which can be downloaded here. https://www.alankurschner.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/2.1-Biblical-Prophecy-online-FINAL.pdf
Preparation for Coming Persecutions Upon the Church
Ron Wallace focuses on the urgency for spiritual growth. While a lot has been written and taught about being prepared for the coming persecutions upon the Church, many Christians simply do not have the knowledge and faith to handle the normal everyday pressures that are encountered every day. It is crucial for each believer to be especially honest with themselves. If you cannot handle the everyday pressures of work, home and society in general, without "fuming" within your soul and/or outwardly towards others, you will surely be unable to handle the extreme persecution that may very well come in the near future. As the Apostle Peter writes in 2 Peter 3:17-18 (ESV), "You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unscrupulous people and fall from your own stability, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."
Daniel 9:24-27 – Past, Present or Future?
Bob Hunt begins a consideration of the timing of the events described in Daniel 9:24-27 in this verse-by-verse examination. Are these events entirely in the past? If they are, then many of the Premillennial or Futurist views of end-times stand on very shaky ground. What arguments are used to support a past tense view? How should a Futurist respond? The importance of this issue is enormous. It will impact much of a person’s understanding of the end-times. In this part one episode, Daniel 9:24 will be examined. Daniel’s Seventy weeks will be explored and an explanation of why a literal 490 years is the best way to look at this time period. The argument for symbolism will be presented (i.e., why 490 years is symbolic) followed by the literalist’s response and defense of taking the 490 years literally.
Defining End Times Terms: The Mark of the Beast, its Timing and Implications
Dr. Michael Weis continues in part 2 of his discussion addressing the timing of when the Mark of the Beast will be put in place, what the mark is stated to be and what it may be in the future. He also addresses what happens to those who get the mark, and challenges us to share the gospel while there is yet time.
Eschatological Geography: “Where are the Assyrian People Now?”
Charles Cooper continues his discussion of Eschatological Geography and the world map at the beginning of Daniel's 70th Week. The importance of the Assyrian people, for both the beginning of the end-time sequence and the millennial reign of Christ on this earth, is critical. The fact that there is no geographically designated land called "Assyria" should warn men and women from making predictions about the imminent return of Jesus Christ. The historically-significant role the Assyrians played in Israel's history, and God's promise to hold Israel, Egypt, and Assyria as the unique peoples among all the tribes of the earth, warrants pause about the beginning of Daniel's final week until Assyria regains its geographical homeland. Where are the Assyrian people now?
The Great Commission According to NAR: “Binding and Loosing Prayer as the Missing Key”
Holly Pivec explains “binding and loosing prayer” and how New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) leaders view it as the key for establishing God’s kingdom on earth. In a previous episode, she explained NAR leaders’ peculiar take on the Great Commission — as a commission to take dominion of the nations and “bring heaven to earth” — which closely relates to their novel interpretation of the Lord’s Prayer.

What lessons can be learned prophetically from Covid? This episode is for those who have been tracking prophecy and those new to it. Jake calls watchmen back to what led them to be warned in the first place, and shares his journey. The lessons from this journey provides a core foundation for watchmen to trust their message and share it with confidence. Defining End Times Terms: The Mark of the Beast and its Significance
Dr. Michael Weis defines one of the hottest and most controversial subjects when it comes to the study of eschatology, and that is the Mark of the Beast, introduced in Revelation 16. In this Part 1 discussion, Dr. Weis will explore its significance, who gets it, what it means, and applications for us.
Eschatological Geography: “Who are the Assyrian People?”
Charles Cooper continues his discussion of Eschatological Geography and The World Map at the Beginning of Daniel's 70th Week. The world map is a far greater indicator of where human history is in connection with eschatological fulfillment than any other predictor. Just as the necessity for National Israel to be back in the land with a national ruling government was absolutely necessary for the end-time sequence to begin, which did not occur until 1947, we see the exact same necessity for Assyria. Yet, the absence of National Israel having a geographical footprint did not prevent William Miller from being one of the great delusions in modern history. The prediction of our Lord's return between March 1843 and October 1844 could have been prevented by recognizing this one fact. Let's learn together!
The Great Commission According to NAR: “Bringing Heaven to Earth”
Holly Pivec explains New Apostolic Reformation leaders’ peculiar understanding of the Great Commission, which relates closely to their novel interpretation of the Lord’s Prayer.
Prophetic Lessons from Covid for the Watchman: You Were Right
Jake McCandless begins a series in which he flips the field. Typically, he approaches his episodes providing help and encouragement to stand firm, but in this episode, he speaks to co-laborers—you. Often on this podcast, and in pre-wrath prophecy circles, we talk about the need to prepare and what needs to be prepared for. This is needed, but a discussion on being a “preparer of others” has been scarce. Most students of Bible prophecy want to share their findings with others, warn them, and help them prepare. Whether they use the term they are a watchman—you are a watchman. Jake talks about the call and responsibility of being a watchman or watchwoman. As watchmen, we should desire to see, warn, and help others prepare as well as we can. Unlike most prophetic voices in history, watchmen today have had a “test run”. They’ve had a “shot across the bow”. That test and warning shot was the Covid19 Pandemic and the faith fallout from it. Those who were tracking in Bible prophecy beforehand had the unique experience of being warned, called to try to warn, and then seeing it come to pass in some way. This warning shot is extremely valuable and needs to be reflected upon. In this series Jake just does just that. What lessons can be learned prophetically from covid? Jake dives into one lesson that though awkward to articulate needs to be to help us be better watchmen. This lesson is that you were right. If you were right then leaning into the same seeking of the Lord should lead to you being right again. Also check out the Last Days Overcomer Conferences at https://lastdaysovercomer.org.
Who or What Is Gog?
Chris White does a deep dive on who “Gog” is in Ezekiel 38 & 39 and Revelation 20.
Defining End Times Terms: ‘The Image of the Beast’
Dr. Michael Weis continues to explore End Times terms and define them according to the Bible. In this episode, he defines "The Image of the Beast," what it is, and what it could be in the end times. He challenges us to serve and worship our Lord as well.
Peace and Security
Ron Wallace discusses that future time when there will be severe affliction and hardship unleashed upon the world by the evil personage the Bible calls the "Beast". This affliction and hardship will be directed upon anyone who chooses not to worship the Beast. However, for those who do choose to worship him, they will be able to participate in a vast and technical economic system that will ensure, for them, an experience of peace and security. However, because of this security, these beast-worshippers will be shocked and traumatized when Jesus appears in the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. Their peace and security will be suddenly interrupted, as they must then face the impending wrath of God and the judgments of the trumpets and bowls.
The Wise Men and Jesus’s Second Coming
Marquis Laughlin teaches us what we can learn from the timing of Jesus’ first coming. Even though many were watching for the coming of the Messiah, only wise men from the east knew the signs well enough to take a month’s long journey to visit the newborn king. How did they know? And what can we learn from them about the timing of Jesus’ second coming?
Which Nations are Involved in the Gog Magog War?
Chris White does a deep dive into which nations are said to come against Jerusalem in the Gog Magog War. This is a continuing study by Chris on the subject of Gog and Magog.
The Ministry of the Church Was Prophesied in Isaiah 65
Ron Wallace shows that the church is prophesied in the Old Testament. Isaiah 65 gives a unique summary of Israel's failure to represent God properly. The prophet also prophesies of the group of elect servants who will temporarily replace Israel as the representatives of God on the earth. After God freed the people of Israel from Egypt, He established them as a unique nation and appointed them to be the official evangelistic agent and representatives of God's truth to the rest of the world. However, through the subsequent years, except for a few individuals, the nation as a whole failed to fulfill God's plan for them. As a result He had to discipline them at various times in order to steer them back to faithfulness. However, they continued to fail and ultimately rejected the very presence of the promised Messiah in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Because of this, God temporarily set the nation aside and removed them from being His representative on the earth. And since God never leaves Himself without a witness on the earth, He established the church to proclaim His character and word throughout the world. This new evangelistic agent would later be designated as an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God's personal possession.
The Great Falling Away
Marquis Laughlin teaches on the Apostle Paul’s prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 about a great falling away from the Faith. Paul calls it “the rebellion”. And it’s an event that Paul believed must happen before we believers are gathered together to be with the Lord. Marquis examines the timing of this event, the events surrounding it, and the stern warnings included in scripture that encourage us to stick with scripture as our only source of truth.
NAR “Declaration Prayer”; “Wake Up, Olive”; “Perfect-Health Zones”; and Other Declaration Fails
Holly Pivec explains that the way people in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement pray is noticeably different. In her previous episode, Holly explained controversial NAR teachings about “declaration prayer” and the role they allegedly will play in bringing God’s kingdom to earth and ushering in Christ’s return. She also revealed the differences between declaration prayer and biblical petitionary prayer. In this episode, she shares three notable examples of prayer declarations made by NAR leaders that failed. And she shows that their teachings about prayer cannot be supported by Scripture.
Understanding the Bible – Ruling on the Field
Jake McCandless continues his discussion on understanding the Bible through hermeneutics and shows how a principle in professional and college football could help us correctly interpret Scripture. Yes, football! The “ruling on the field” principle can help you be confident in your interpretation and can help you examine interpretations you hear or read. To show how this principle works, Jake tackles the question of the Millennial Kingdom. Is it literal or is it spiritual? Check out how the “ruling on the field” principle can help conclude that argument as well as the argument on the timing of the rapture.
New Jerusalem’s Connection with Ezekiel 28:11-19 and Pyramids Around the World
Janet Willis gives evidence, both biblical and extra-biblical, about the shape of New Jerusalem. Ezekiel connects Eden, the Mountain of God, and Satan’s fall (Ezek 28:11-19). It is possible that Adam and Eve. and even Noah. knew what the exterior of the Mountain of God looked like. This might have been part of the motivation of post-Flood people groups to construct Babel and later pyramids. This possibility connects with extensive biblical evidence that our future home, New Jerusalem is shaped like a mountain. This podcast is based on the article “Why the New Jerusalem Is Shaped Like a Mountain” from Biblical Prophecy Magazine, published by Eschatos Ministries (The entire aticle is available free online: click here). A chart comparing the New Jerusalem with Ezekiel’s city can be seen below: An illustration comparing the layout at Mt. Sinai and Ezekiel’s Holy Allotment can be seen below:
The Church in the Old Testament
Ron Wallace shows that the believers of the Church are mentioned in the Old Testament. In Daniel 11:33-35, Church-age believers are seen as the "wise ones" who will give understanding specifically to the people of ethnic Israel. They will teach knowledge designed to refine and purge the people of Israel right up until the end of the age. The result will be that, after Christ returns, many of Israel will call upon the name of the Lord and be saved!
NAR “Declaration Prayer”: The Key to Bringing God’s Kingdom to Earth?
Holly Pivec explains controversial NAR teachings about “declaration prayer” and the role they will allegedly play in bringing God’s kingdom to earth and ushering in Christ’s return. She also reveals the differences between declaration prayer and biblical petitionary prayer.
Understanding the Bible – Get in Neutral and Read
Jake McCandless talks about understanding the Bible through hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is the discipline of interpreting the Bible, moving from reading Scripture to concluding the meaning and application. This subject is not talked about nearly enough, and may be one of the most important factors to rightly dividing the Scriptures: especially Bible Prophecy. Relaying his own personal journey, Jake shares the importance of having a hermeneutical system and knowing how the teachers we’re listening to and authors we’re reading are approaching Bible interpretation. Jake closes with giving what he says is the number one advice for having a right hermeneutic for Bible prophecy. His answer will surprise you.
The Wrath of God: When Does It Begin?
Michael Ufferman, Bible teacher from Zion's Hope, continues to build the case that the final seven-year period of time – commonly, but erroneously, called the Tribulation – is not entirely God’s wrath against unbelieving humanity. Michael gives ample evidence that God’s wrath begins well into the second half of this final seven-year period of time.
Defining End Times Terms: ‘The Great Tribulation’ and ‘The Time of Jacob’s Trouble’
Dr. Michael Weis defines two crucial End Times terms...Biblically. One in particular has been incorrectly defined for generations and that is The Great Tribulation. He explains how this is not the entire 7 years of Daniel's 70th Week. He then connects another important term: The Time of Jacob's Trouble. Dr. Weis' application is challenging and timely in this encouraging podcast.
Eschatological Geography & Imminence
Charles Cooper talks about the signs of the Lord's return, and how His return was not imminent prior to 1947 because the prophetic geography necessary for the return of Jesus simply did not exist. Eschatological geography demands that when Jesus returns, the Jews must be in their own land with a governing authority in place that allows a representative to enter into a covenent agreement on behalf of the Jewish people. Charles argues if that was true before 1947 it is true now, and Christians should not have anxiety that Jesus is going to suddenly appear before the eschatological, geographical puzzle is set.
When Does God’s Wrath Begin?
Michael Ufferman, Bible teacher from Zion’s Hope, lays the ground work in Part 1 of this 2-part podcast to clearly identify when the Wrath of God actually begins. Scripture says God will use fire as a devastating part of His judgment against unbelieving mankind. That fiery judgment comes exactly when proponents of the Pre-Wrath Rapture would expect.
Downstream Effects of the Pretrib Rapture Theory
Chris White talks about how the belief of pretribbers, that the rapture takes places before the covenant, leads to downstream errors about how the rest of the end times plays out.
What is the Unforgiveable Sin? And How This Relates to the Antichrist’s Great Delusion
Marquis Laughlin discusses what Jesus may have been referring to when He mentions the unforgivable sin. What is blaspheming the Holy Spirit? Why are we warned about it, and why is it unforgivable? How does this sin fit into the falling away of the Church, the Antichrist’s plans, and the great delusion?
Defining End Times Terms: ‘The Abomination of Desolation’
Dr. Michael Weis continues to explain various end times terms...Biblically. In this episode he explores both a historic and prophetic term and event - The Abomination of Desolation. He also touches on 70AD, while asking and answering how the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple fits in to this prophecy. He then challenges us to smash the idols in our lives in today's episode!
Hermeneutics 101 and Biblical Prophecy
Charles Cooper presents a study on hermeneutics: the rules for understanding a written document. Your hermeneutic is the key to understanding biblical prophecy. Bible study with discernment should be a goal of every Christian, and an accurate understanding of the biblical text is required for a proper interpretation of the author's intended meaning.
Expectation for the Second Coming of Jesus
Ron Wallace previously taught about the expectation of the Church concerning the Second Coming of Jesus. In this episode, he amplifies that expectation by looking at the various things Christians will encounter as they live here on earth not only during the period of beginning birth pains, but also during the time of persecution by the antichrist during the future tribulation.
Why Revelation?
Marquis Laughlin talks about how understanding the purpose of the Book of Revelation changes the way we see everything. It not only changes how we interpret it, but it changes how we see Jesus and the rest of the Bible. God is sovereign over all creation. His plan to restore all things prevails against all that evil can try to do to thwart it. God has given us His servants everything we need to know to endure until this is accomplished.
Luke 21:36 – A Tricky Passage
Chris White discusses Luke 21:36, which implores us to pray to “escapes all these things.” Is this passage talking about the Great Tribulation, the Day of the Lord, or both?
New Jerusalem Is Shaped Like a Mountain
Janet Willis presents evidence that New Jerusalem is shaped like a mountain. God graciously gave believers a stunning picture of our future home (Rev 21:2). A whole city will come down from the sky. Nothing in the visual experience of humans quite compares to this. But can we know the overall contour of God’s city? Most assume God’s city is shaped like a cube like the Holy of Holies. But when we examine the whole of Scripture, we see many clues that the shape of New Jerusalem is more like a pyramid. Throughout the Bible, God’s dwelling place is often called “the holy mountain of God.” The case for a pyramid-shaped New Jerusalem gets even stronger when we take a close look at what occurred at Mt. Sinai in the book of Exodus. Then we’ll see how the book of Hebrews compares the mountain of Sinai with the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb 12:18-24). We will then compare the full layout of Ezekiel’s vision (Ezek 48), including the city and compare it with the layout at Mt. Sinai. The harmony is amazing! Comparing Scripture with Scripture provides compelling evidence that the city John saw, New Jerusalem, is shaped like a mountain. See her magazine article on this topic here.
Clues for Spotting NAR’s Counterfeit Revival: “24/7 Prayer Rooms, Revival Hot Spots, and Shady Prophets”
Holly Pivec reveals seven more clues for spotting a NAR counterfeit revival. In her previous episode, Holly identified six, of 13, clues that indicate a song, sermon, or event is promoting unbiblical NAR revival. These include practices like “fire tunnels” and “prayer declarations,” the preaching of NAR's distorted “gospel of the kingdom,” and prophecies about the “Seven Mountain Mandate.” In this episode she shares seven more clues that a NAR counterfeit revival—in contrast to true, biblical revival—is afoot, including "24/7 prayer rooms", "revival hot spots", and shady prophets.
God’s Prophesied Blood and Fire
Michael Ufferman, from Zion’s Hope, talks about God’s “Blood and Fire” as prophesied to occur during the Day of the Lord Wrath. He shows how, if the Rapture of the Church is supposed to be “Pre-Tribulational”, the Pre-Tribulational Rapturist cannot account for the timing of this prophetic text. Mid- and Post-Tribulationists also cannot account for the timing of this prophesied occurrence. Yet it fits perfectly within the Pre-Wrath Rapture Chronology.
Salvation After the Rapture
Ron Wallace teaches that salvation will still be available after the rapture to anyone who has not taken the mark of the beast. There needs to be Jew and Gentile believers alive on the earth after Armageddon in order to populate the earthly Davidic kingdom. The everlasting gospel will be proclaimed by the Two Witnesses and the 144 Jewish servants of God, exhorting all to reverence God, give Him glory and worship Him who created all things.
Defining End Times Terms: ‘The Tribulation’ and ‘Daniel’s 70th Week’
Dr. Michael Weis helps us understand what the Bible means about various End Times words and phrases in this helpful series. In this message, he dives into The Tribulation and Daniel's 70th Week. One is a very common phrase, and the other is not quite as known. However, what does the Bible say about them, if anything at all? Listen and find out!
The Millennial Kingdom: Heaven is More Complicated Than We Make It
Jake McCandless talks about the Millennial Kingdom by looking at the location of the “dead” throughout the different ages. The goal isn’t to argue points about Heaven, but to show that one of the reasons believers aren’t standing firm or living sold-out lives is because we have oversimplified Heaven. Scripture reveals that the dead are in a different location throughout the unfolding of the different ages. Jake also mentions his new children’s book, Jesus and His Kingdom, available at www.standfirmstore.com
Revelation 14:14-20
Ron Wallace presents the view that Revelation 14:14-20 portrays the initiation of The Day of the Lord judgments that will begin with the Trumpets and conclude with the 7th Bowl and the battle of Armageddon. This is in contrast with the view that Revelation 14:14-16 portrays the rapture of the church. Our differences on some of these details should never be a cause for disharmony but should simply encourage all of us to study carefully and fine-tune our own understandings of the entire context of Scripture.
Defining End Times Terms: ‘Imminence’ and ‘Expectancy’
Dr. Michael Weis explores two words in Defining End Times Terms… Biblically. He first covers the popular doctrine or teaching of imminence, or the belief that Jesus could come "at any moment." Is it a Biblical teaching? Or, does the Bible teach something very different, which is defined as expectancy? Listen, as these two terms are defined, explored and as we learn which one the Bible teaches.
Remember Lot’s Wife
Marquis Laughlin speaks about what we can learn from the example Jesus gives us of Lot’s wife. Why did Jesus tell us to remember her when He spoke about His return? What does the story of Sodom and Gomorrah reveal about The Day of the Lord, the timing of the rapture, and God’s Wrath? What does Jesus specifically tell us to do to avoid her fate?
