Clues for Spotting NAR’s Counterfeit Revival: “Fire Tunnels” & “Prayer Declarations”
Holly Pivec reveals the first six, of 13, clues for spotting NAR's counterfeit revival. In this episode Holly shows six signs that indicate a song, sermon, or event is promoting an unbiblical NAR revival. These signs include practices like “fire tunnels” and “prayer declarations,” the preaching of NAR's distorted “gospel of the kingdom,” and prophecies about the “Seven Mountain Mandate.”
An End-Time Image for Our Mind
Jake McCandless talks about one image that, if we can have in our mind, we will not only know the final events of this age, but we will also know the trajectory of world events running from now until then. Jake takes five passages spanning the Old Testament and New Testament that all show one final end-time event. The five passages are: Zechariah 14:1-4, Ezekiel 38:1-21, Psalm 2:1-2, Revelation 16:12-16, and Revelation 19:11-20:4 . These four passages all build one image. This image isn’t unique to the end of the age, for it has occurred multiple times throughout history. Listen in and learn about this one image that can help you know the ebb and flow of world events now, and until Jesus returns.
The Church’s Expectation of the Second Coming
Ron Wallace discusses the expectation of the church concerning the second coming of Jesus. The expectation of the church was – and is – NOT that Christ can return at any moment! It is the FACT that Christ will indeed come again, but only according to the wisdom and timing of the plan of God. Jesus taught that there are things that must happen before He comes back. And UNTIL He returns and takes us to Himself, we are to proclaim the gospel message throughout the world, waiting with patience for the fulfillment of His promise.
The Father’s House Is Not the Temple
Janet Willis shows how Jesus tenderly prepared His disciples for the hardships that lay ahead for them (John 14:1-3). He wanted his followers to have a clear view of the long view. He said, “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places…. I go to prepare a place for you.” But, what did Jesus mean by the Father’s House? Where is it now? Where will it be in the future? In a recent podcast, Joel Richardson said, whenever Jesus refers to “My Father’s House,” He means the Temple. He said the place that Jesus was going to prepare for His disciples was the future Temple described in Ezekiel 40-48. Janet will give evidence that when Jesus said “the Father’s house” He did not mean that future Temple. The key is understanding that there are two separate places on the Holy Allotment, the Temple and the city (Ezek 37:26-27; 48:10-35). Janet presents evidence that Ezekiel and John were each given a view into the future, a view of the same city, New Jerusalem (Click here to see Janet's comparison chart). In Janet’s future podcasts, she will examine further the topic of timing, as well as the shape and the size of God’s city. There are amazing clues all over the Bible, hiding in plain sight!
Daniel’s Prayer in Daniel 9:2
David Rosenthal continues his discussion of Daniel’s Magnificent Prayer in Daniel 9:3-19. The prophet’s prayer is rooted in his understanding of Israel’s rebellious history, their breaking of God’s covenant, and the judgments that would befall them. Journey back with David to look at two often overlooked prophecies in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. You’ll see their connection to Daniel’s prayer and discover how these prophecies reveal a divine plan to chastise Israel for its rebellion by subjecting the nation to a perilous course of seven Gentile empires.
How to Share the Gospel in the End Times
Marquis Laughlin examines why sharing the Gospel is different in every age of God’s plan for mankind. What is the one key ingredient in every presentation of the Gospel recorded in Scripture? Are churches leaving that out? What can we learn about how we should be using that to share the message of salvation in the end times?
The Gog Magog War – Context
Chris White continues a study about the “Gog Magog” war in Ezekiel 38-39. In this podcast he talks about the context of Ezekiel 38 and 39 by studying the chapters that led up to it in the book of Ezekiel. Click here to see this study in video form. The Gog Magog War and Revelation 20
Chris White starts a new study about the “Gog Magog” war in Ezekiel 38-39. He begins by talking about a passage in Revelation 20. Click here to see this study in video form. Chris White’s website: https://bibleprophecytalk.com/
NAR’s ‘Billion-Soul Harvest’: The Doctrine’s Sketchy Origins and Dangers
Holly Pivec continues to talk about a New Apostolic Reformation doctrine known as the “Billion-Soul Harvest.” In the previous episode, Holly explained what exactly is this “billion-soul harvest”—a great end-time revival, under the leadership of NAR apostles and prophets, that will usher in Christ’s return. She also explained how NAR views of revival differ radically from the type of revival other Christians seek. In this episode Holly explains where NAR leaders got their expectations of this global revival fueled by miracles (which will fill stadiums and usher a billion souls into the kingdom). She also explains why their NAR teachings about revival are harmful.
Jesus the Prophet of the Kingdom of God
Charles Cooper discusses the lack of an explicit statement by Jesus that he was a prophet. While others saw and made this claim, Jesus did not. Perhaps, because Jesus was the Son of God, he knew that while prophecy receives a message from God, he, Jesus, would be the message of God. The centrality of our Lord's prophetic message was the Kingdom of God – the gospel or good news of God.
The Two Witnesses: The Timing of Their Ministry
Chris White looks at the question of the timing of the two witnesses in Revelation 11, in relationship to the seven year period.
Rubric for the Judgment Seat of Christ
Jake McCandless talks about the Judgment Seat of Christ. There are two judgments: a judgment of the Book of Life with question of salvation, and a judgment for believers in which the Apostle Paul calls the Judgment Seat of Christ. Archaeology and historical record have given us some insight into Paul’s intentions with the imagery of bema seat, but Jake presents new imagery that helps express the “rubric” or “scorecard” for this judgment. This rubric is drawn from Jesus’ parables, which give insight into the judgment.
NAR’s “Billion-Soul Harvest”
Holly Pivec talks about a New Apostolic Reformation doctrine known as the “Billion-Soul Harvest.” NAR has a skewed eschatology, known by the name given to it by some NAR leaders: “Victorious Eschatology.” It includes many bizarre and unbiblical teachings about the end time. One of those teachings is about a so-called “Great End-Time Revival”— also referred to as a “Billion-Soul Harvest.” What exactly is this “Billion-Soul Harvest”? And how do NAR views of revival differ from the type of revival other Christians seek? These are the questions Holly Pivec answers in this episode.
The Great End-Time Betrayal in Matthew 24:10
In this episode Marquis Laughlin talks about one of the most overlooked aspects of the end times: Betrayal. Jesus’ prediction of betrayal is such bad news that it’s easy to overlook because most of us just don’t want to hear it! We can barely imagine it to be true! But in Matthew chapter 24 verse 10 Jesus says: And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another”. Marquis takes a closer look at this picture of the future, its context and timing. What can we learn from Jesus’ betrayal about how to handle this part of the events leading up to His return?
Defining End Times Terms: ‘The Last Days’ and ‘Times of the Gentiles’
Dr. Michael Weis continues his series on defining End Times terminology from the Bible. He covers two phrases: "The Last Days", and "Times of the Gentiles" in this second session. He also reminds us to look to the future when Christ will return, and challenges Church leaders to proclaim His return.
The New Jerusalem and its Location
Prophecies about Jerusalem’s future abound, prophecies that are yet unfulfilled. They are like scattered puzzle pieces all over the Bible. Similar to assembling a giant jigsaw puzzle, categorizing similar pieces really helps. In this second podcast about God’s City, New Jerusalem, Today, Janet Willis is going to discuss the topic of “location”. Puzzle pieces about the location of future Jerusalem literally set the groundwork for this series about our future home. The prophet Ezekiel is given a prophecy about a Holy Allotment in Israel. He describes a structure that will be on that piece of real estate, and it is strikingly similar to John’s vision of the New Jerusalem. Ezekiel calls it a “structure like a city” (Ezekiel 40:2). We’re told “the name of the city from that day will be ‘The LORD is there’” (Ezekiel 48:35). The permanence of this promise cannot be ignored. This podcast is just the beginning of a fascinating comparison of what these two prophets reveal.
A Study of The Day of the Lord in the Old Testament Prophets
Chris White begins a study on themes of the Day of the Lord in the Old Testament prophets. Click here for additional notes for Chris' study today.
The Backbone of Prophecy: Daniel 9:3-19
David Rosenthal, president of Zion's Hope, discusses Daniel’s Magnificent Prayer in Daniel 9:3-19. The prophet’s prayer is rooted in his understanding of Israel’s rebellious history, their breaking of God’s covenant, and the judgments that would befall them. Thus, Daniel’s prayer is foundational to better understand the crucial 70-Weeks Prophecy revealed to him later in the same chapter. These 70 Weeks, which will be discussed in more detail in future episodes, are the backbone of Bible prophecy, providing the structural framework for understanding God’s future plan for Israel, and for bringing history to a righteous consummation.
Daniel’s 70th Week – Context and Purpose
In this episode Bob Hunt will explore Daniel’s seventy weeks as stated in Daniel 9:24. He will provide the context and purpose of this prophecy. The context reveals that this prophecy is a response to Daniel’s prayer for his people. The purpose is to give Daniel and the Jewish people hope: God has a plan for them. This plan will bring about the end of sin and the bringing in of everlasting righteousness. This will only happen at the return of their Messiah, our Messiah, Jesus Christ. After examining the seventy-year exile in detail, Bob will tie this to Daniel’s seventy-weeks. Leviticus will play a key role in developing this connection. Finally, he will look at the Israelites Year of Jubilee. A connection will further be made between the Year of Jubilee and what may be called the Ultimate Jubilee. The Ultimate Jubilee is when the Jewish people realize final forgiveness, redemption and complete freedom. This Jubilee will satisfy the six purposes laid out by the Lord by the end of the seventy-week prophecy. Their hope, our hope, the “Blessed Hope” will finally be realized.
The Message of Jesus
Charles Cooper discusses the significance of Mark 1:14-15, as Jesus explicitly declares the central message of his ministry. Few phrases have been more misunderstood than "The Kingdom of God." It remains greatly misunderstood and misapplied in the lives of saints. Let's get a better understanding as Coop discusses, The Good News of God.
End Time Image for the Soul
Jake McCandless talks about end time images that, if we “burn” in our minds, we can not only know that event at the end of the age, but we can know the trajectory leading to that event. Jake continues helping believers prepare for the challenges of the last days by zeroing in on what we actually need to prepare to face. Enough with the vague statements! It is time to drill down into what we need to actually prepare to encounter. When we are talking about preparation, Jesus’ words in Matthew 10, along with the prophesied judgments, should shape our preparations.
The “Explicit” Return of Christ
Today, Ron Wallace talks about the word “Explicit” and how it relates to the rapture of the Church. Ron will establish the Bible’s teaching that Christ’s second coming and the promised rapture of the Church will occur explicitly after the Last Days period of the tribulation administered by the Antichrist.
Defining End Times Terms: ‘The Day of the Lord’ and Why It Matters
Dr. Michael Weis, on staff at Zion's Hope, begins a foundational series for understanding the End Times. He goes to Scripture to define some common End Times terms, some of which have been misdefined for various reasons by Churches and Church leaders throughout history. In the first session he covers The Day of the Lord, what it means and what we can do to equip the Church.
Godlessness in the Last Days
Marquis Laughlin talks about what may be the most vivid prophecy describing the Last Days: The Apostle Paul’s description of what people will be like in last days. It’s found in 2Timothy chapter 3. It’s an amazingly detailed prediction that describes the condition of the church and the culture of the Last Days-the days just prior to Jesus’ return. This is a great podcast for anyone who has any doubts about the validity of Bible prophecy, or whether we are in the Last Days.
The Greatest Prophet
Charles Cooper discusses the New Testament proclamation that John the Baptist was the greatest prophet of the Old Testament prophetic era. How can this be? No book bears his name. Great prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel have books. Yes, Jesus and the people identify John the Baptist as a prophet -- Matt 11:7-15; Matt 14:1-5; and Luke 16:16. What are the Prophecies of John the Baptist?
Standing Firm Isn’t Enough
Jake McCandless talks about the need to spiritually prepare for the challenges ahead at the end of the age so that we will stand firm. But is standing firm enough? In this episode, Jake opens up Matthew 25 and Luke 19 to see how the Parable of the Talents and the Parable of the Ten Minas instruct about preparation. The truth from the parables isn’t what we typically think, but they do provide a rubric for the Judgement Seat of Christ and faithfulness.
Let’s Talk about the New Jerusalem (and an Exclusive Intro from Erwin Lutzer!)
Editor's note: Ewin Lutzer introduces Janet Willis for this episode of Bible Prophecy Daily™ Get his excellent book No Reason to Hide: Standing for Christ in a Collapsing Culture. This episode introduces Janet Willis's series on the topic of God’s city, New Jerusalem. Understanding what God says about this city can prepare us for difficult times that might lie ahead. The long view helped the heroes of the faith persevere. Abraham was “looking for the city . . . whose architect and builder is God” (Hebrews 11:10). Today, many hunger to know about the future, especially about heaven, but they often look in the wrong places. People tend to look to contemporary claims of supernatural experiences. Jesus warned us that signs and wonders are powerful and can deceive us. A correct understanding of what God’s Word says about our future home can protect us from this kind of deception. Jeremiah says dreams and visions are not trustworthy like Scripture. He says it’s like choosing straw instead of grain (Jer 23:28-29). When it comes to understanding heaven, specifically the New Jerusalem, we need to trust the grain, God’s Word. What we believe about Jesus certainly matters, but also what we believe about the Bible matters. John’s gospel records how Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word” (John 14:23). The book of Revelation highlights this by coupling these two doctrines six different times, particularly in relation to the perseverance of the saints. In this series, as we examine what the Bible says about New Jerusalem, we will see that God has provided far more details about our future home than most people realize. Many prophecies specifically about Jerusalem have yet to be fulfilled. For example, Ezekiel gives us important details about a city to come that will have three gates on each side named for the twelve tribes of Israel. He goes on to say, “The name of the city from that day will be ‘The LORD is there!’” (Ezek 48:35) This series presents a fresh careful look at the shape, the size, and the timing of when New Jerusalem will arrive. As we study and compare what both testaments reveal, an exciting harmony will give us a clear view of the long view. For more resources go to her website.
The Mark of The Beast
Marquis Laughlin talks about the most well-known prediction in all of the Bible, which comes with the sternest warning in all of Scripture. So just what is the Mark of the Beast? Satan’s best effort to disqualify mankind comes with severe and permanent ramifications. Marquis Laughlin examines the possible science and technology behind the “mark”, how the enemy is planning to tempt us in the same way he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and the connection between the “mark”, and what Jesus called the “unforgivable sin”.
3 Reasons I DON’T Think We Are in the End Times Yet

A Purpose of Prophecy
Charles Cooper discusses one of the oldest prophesies in the Bible: The Gospel of God. It calls upon men to live to avoid God’s wrath at the physical manifestation of God upon the earth. Enoch preached it (Jude 1:14-15). Revelation 14:6-7 rehearse the last sermon to mankind days before God's final wrath in the bowl judgments falls upon the earth: The Eternal Gospel!
2 Thessalonians 1, Tribulation, and Wrath
Ron Wallace talked about the Thessalonian church undergoing great affliction at the present time from a group of persecutors who are quite severe in their attacks on these believers. In fact, the affliction is so great that it resembles very closely the quality of persecution that will exist during the time of great affliction (tribulation) that Jesus taught about. The word for affliction here and for tribulation in Matthew 24:9 and 21 is the same word in the Greek, the noun - thlipsis; and the verb thlibo. At the time of writing to the Thessalonians, the world conditions are such that the events leading up to the Day-of-the-Lord return of Jesus could begin to take place at any time. In other words, the time of affliction that they are going through, could very easily escalate into the great affliction. If that were to happen, then they need to know that Jesus promised them deliverance from the severity of that time so that the vast majority of His believing brethren (the elect, church age believers, Hebrews 2:10-11) would not undergo the death blows from the beast. For he will try to kill all believers in Jesus (Revelation 12:17; 13:7, 15; Daniel 7:25), but will not totally succeed because the time of his oppression will be cut short (Matthew 24:22) by the return of Jesus. And that promise is exactly what Paul reaffirms to them in this letter. A very important point of introduction is to recognize that there is only ONE second coming. That is, what Jesus taught about His coming (the coming of the Son of Man) and what the apostles taught about His coming all refer to the one and the same return of Jesus in the clouds of the sky. At that time, the resurrection of ALL believers who have died since Adam will occur, and the resurrection of all living believers will occur; and all of these will meet with Jesus in the sky, and will be escorted to heaven where they will begin preparation for their home and function in God's plan for eternity. This passage before us is key to understanding that when Jesus comes back to gather His saints to Himself, as described at 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, it will be a visible, physical and glorious revelation of God's glory, accompanied by His angels, just as Jesus taught at every recorded mention of the event. This chapter is vital and pivotal for establishing the UNITY of all the second coming passages that occur in the New Testament. Concerning these believers, as indicated at 2thes 1:4, Paul often spoke about “your endurance and faith in the midst of your persecutions and afflictions which you are tolerating.” At verses 5-6, he wrote about God’s judgment upon the persecutors. He said, It is a plain indication of God's righteous judgment . . . since indeed, it is just for God to repay with affliction. He also mentioned the RESULT of faithful endurance. Continuing at verse 6 - with the result that you are considered worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which also you are suffering. This experience of affliction from those who are rejecters of God and of God's plan of salvation, is simply evidence that God is righteous and just in judging them. It is their own actions that condemn them. And at the same time it vindicates the faithfulness of the believers because it demonstrates that they are walking worthy of their place in the family of God. As the believer endures such persecution and affliction, he testifies to the reality of his salvation relationship with God. This faithful consistency in the face of tribulation (thlipsis) is a testimonial beacon to the believer's status as a child of God, and to God's GRACE provision for the believer, which is the basis for that believer’s faithful devotion and endurance. Continuing at verse 6 - Since indeed, it is just for God to repay with affliction those who are afflicting you, the construction, "since indeed," is eiper, which is a particle of recognized reality. Paul states here the certainty of God's repayment to tho...
There Is Only One Second Coming
Ron Wallace talks about the hope of the apostolic church concerning Christ's second coming and being founded in the very teachings of Jesus. Jesus made it perfectly clear that He was indeed going to come again and deliver His believing ones out from this world and take them to a heavenly home. There are some who believe that Jesus taught two distinct comings; one for the rapture, and one for the battle of Armageddon. Such a distinction is found only in theological assumptions that have no clear Scriptural support, rather than in the plain and simple language of Christ's words. By comparing passages from the Old Testament, the words of Jesus, and the epistles, it can be shown that there is only ONE second coming. There are 6 specific times recorded in the gospels where Jesus mentions His second coming. (Mat. 10:23; 16:27-28; Mat. 24-25; John 14:1-3; 21:22). At these times Jesus used the word erchomai. which indeed means a coming or arrival (Mat. 10:23; 16:27-28; Mark 8:38). At these times He made no indication that there was more than one ARRIVAL. The second coming mentioned at Mat. 16:27 is the same second coming mentioned at Mat. 24:30. And the coming and gathering of Christ's elect at Mat. 24:30-40 is the same coming and gathering of believers mentioned at John 14:1-3 (paralambano). And we thus see the same event in view at both places. There is no reason to think that Jesus had anything in mind other than His ONE and only second coming to the earth which will initiate the events of the day of the Lord. At Matthew 24:3, the disciples ask the question, "what will be the sign of your coming. The Greek word for coming is parousia. It means arrival and subsequent PRESENCE, which involves an extended period of time. It should be obvious that Jesus had previously taught the disciples about His parousia, for the nature of the question indicates they are familiar with the term. So it seems to me that at those times when Jesus mentioned "the coming of the Son of man" the disciples understood that He was talking about His parousia - His presence. And in the mind of the disciples, there was only ONE parousia, which they designate as YOUR parousia in their question. When Jesus answered their question, He in fact called it THE parousia of the Son of Man (Mat. 24:27, 37, 39). And in His answer He EQUATES erchomai and parousia.(at Matthew 24:30 with vs. 27, 37, 39). The second coming is both an arrival (erchomai) and a period of time (parousia). After Jesus arrives He will then remain PRESENT in the vicinity of the earth to carry out God's day of the Lord agenda. In Peter's second letter he wrote about what he was taught. He EQUATES the "coming" (erchomai) of the Lord at Mat. 16:27-28 (17:1-8) with the word parousia. Matthew used the word erchomai: Mat. 16:27-28 "For the Son of Man is going to come (erchomai) in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every person according to his deeds. “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming (erchomai) in His kingdom.” and Peter used the word parousia: 2 Peter 1:16-18 "For we did not follow sophistical stories when we made known to you the power and coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty." Peter knows of only ONE second coming. He mentioned it again at 2Pet. 3:4, in the complaint from the mockers, "where is the promise of His coming?" And then he directly related that ONE second coming to the term, "day of the Lord" and "day of God" at verses 3:10-14. He clearly indicated that it is that ONE and ONLY second coming that we believers should be looking for and be READY for. Verse 14, "Therefore beloved brethren, since you are looking for these things, be diligent to be found in Him in the sphere of peace, spotless and blameless." When Paul wrote about the second coming of Jesus, he used the word,
New Apostolic Reformation and the End Time: What Is NAR’s ‘Victorious Eschatology’?
Holly Pivec explains the skewed eschatology of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), including many bizarre and unbiblical teachings about the end time. NAR is very end-time focused since the goal of NAR is to bring God’s kingdom to earth. And many NAR leaders believe the dominant views of the end time, the views held by the majority of Christians today, need to be overturned because they are holding back the church from seeking to establish God’s kingdom. They think many Christians’ beliefs in a future Antichrist, great tribulation, and rapture are too negative and are distractions. They frequently ridicule those beliefs. And they’re calling for a major paradigm shift, where the church adopts a new NAR understanding of the end time: one that doesn’t include an Antichrist or tribulation—or, if it does include them, it minimizes the magnitude of those threats to the church. Some NAR prophets even claim that God has spoken to them directly about this new, more optimistic NAR doctrine. In other words, their NAR view of the end time is presented as new revelation for the church. So, what, exactly, is this NAR view of the end time held by many NAR leaders? That is the question Holly Pivec will answer in this episode. See yesterday's episode on the main beliefs of NAR.
What Is the New Apostolic Reformation?
Holly Pivec, NAR researcher and author, unpacks the New Apostolic Reformation—a popular, fast-growing movement among Christians that is infiltrating many churches throughout the United States and around the world. NAR leaders emphasize miraculous signs and wonders, and teach that God is giving new revelation through an end-time movement of new apostles and prophets who will equip the church with supernatural powers to transform society, take dominion, and prepare the way for God’s kingdom to be set up on earth and Christ’s return. As Holly explains, a lot of destruction has been caused by NAR’s controversial teachings about the end time, miracles, healing, spiritual warfare, prayer, new revelation, and the authority of today’s apostles and prophets. She identifies the most well-known NAR church today—Bethel Church in Redding, California, home to Bethel Music—as well as other NAR churches and organizations. She also pinpoints the core teaching of NAR and shows how NAR beliefs differ radically from those of classical Pentecostals, historic charismatics, and other continuationists. Holly traces NAR’s history going back to the Latter Rain movement of the late 1940s. She also shows how NAR leaders misuse Scripture to support their distinctive “fivefold ministry” teaching. And she concludes by presenting three common, but inadequate, responses frequently given by NAR leaders to their critics. In tomorrow's episode, Pivec will cover the aberrant eschatology of NAR.
Be a Spiritual Prepper
Jake McCandless talked about how there is much debate and details to dive into on aspects of the end of the age and we will on this program, but is that truth moving us to action? We can get wrapped up in the knowledge and debate and forget to be moved. The events of the last days should call us to action. They should call us to prepare, but what is the best way to prepare. In this episode, Jake asks what is the greatest danger for our lives and what is the greatest risk. Knowing the greatest danger can help us reverse engineer our lives and preparations.
Two Resurrections: The Choice Is Yours, Part 2 of 2
Michael Ufferman continues with this two-part series, first reviewing briefly what was covered in Part 1 and then speaking about the second resurrection, which is clearly associated with the second death. The second resurrection and the second death will have no power over those who were part of the first resurrection.
Two Resurrections: The Choice Is Yours, Part 1 of 2
Michael Ufferman talked about the Bible speaking clearly of two resurrections—one to Life and one to Death. In this first episode of a two-part series, Michael Ufferman introduces the topic and focuses on what is meant by the phrase, “This is the first resurrection,” written by the apostle John in Revelation 20:5.
The Last Trump, The Silver Trumpets, and the Accordion Theory
In this episode, Chris White talks about why he believes that the “Last Trump” in 1 Corinthians is a reference to the silver trumpets in Numbers 10 and not the rams horn trumpets associated with Rosh Hashanah. In the second half of the podcast, he details why he believes that the seals, trumpets, and bowls of Revelation must occur in succession.
The Wise and Faithful Servant
Marquis Laughlin talked about the second longest teaching Jesus shared concerning His return. It’s recorded in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. He concludes with a riddle for His disciples: “Who then is the wise and faithful servant whom his master has put in charge of his servants to give them their food at the proper time?” The disciples knew the answer, but do we? What can we learn from the answer to this riddle about being prepared for Jesus’s return?
