Charles Cooper previously looked at the pre-, mid-, and post-tribulation positions on the timing of the rapture in the book of Revelation. Now, Charles turns his attention to a synthetic view regarding this critical question. There are points of truth in all of the rapture positions, but their error prevents any one position from being universally accepted. Ron Wallace answers the question, "What is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?" Is there a sin that cannot be forgiven? In this episode Ron will show that there is indeed one sin that cannot be forgiven: it is the sin of unbelief. That is, the sin of rejecting Jesus as your Savior. The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the attitude and expression that rejects the Spirit's testimony that Jesus is the Messiah. When Jesus performed miracles such as healing and casting out demons, this was the ministry of the Holy Spirit bearing witness that Jesus was indeed the Messiah and Savior of the world. If a person denied that the Holy Spirit was working in and through Jesus, this was the same as denying that Jesus was the Messiah. Rejection of Jesus as the Messiah is the sin of unbelief. The sin of unbelief is the only sin for which Jesus could not die. It is a "forever sin" that results only in condemnation to the lake of fire.

Jake McCandless, with Stand Firm Ministries, continues celebrating the Christmas season in this episode as he visits one of the most quoted “Christmas” passages, Isaiah 9:6-7. This is the “unto us a child is born” verse, but strangely in this perfect Christmas greeting card passage, there’s a seemingly strange mention of this child having the government on His shoulders. This seems to “mess up” the perfect Christmas passage, but Jake argues that is because in modern Christianity we present just a sliver of the complete Biblical narrative. This sliver causes us to miss the importance of prophecy, the return of Jesus, the Millennial Kingdom, and God’s continued plan for Israel. The seemingly odd phrase in Isaiah 9 bridges all of these things. Jake takes the opportunity of Christmas to point to the larger narrative of the Gospel. He reveals also how many popular Christmas hymns touch on the larger narrative as well.

Bob Hunt of Zion’s Hope Ministries in Winter Garden, FL bases today's teaching on Revelation 13:11-13. In this passage a second beast is introduced by John. The first beast (Revelation 13:1-10) is easy to identify: he is the Antichrist to come. We see in Daniel 7 a fourth beast who is the same figure as John’s first beast of Revelation. Thus, support outside of Revelation can be found for this first beast. But who is this second beast? We can search the Scriptures and it is hard to find any corresponding figure. But nonetheless this person plays a key role in Satan’s attempt to over throw the Lord as Supreme over the earth. This second beast will partner with the first beast and be driven by Satan to do his will. This second beast is also known as the False Prophet. The False Prophet will proclaim a false doctrine and lead the earth into the worship of the first beast, The Antichrist. He will perform wondrous and amazing acts to validate the first beast's claim to power and authority over the world. Deception will be his greatest tool as he leads many away from the Lord. This session highlights the deceptive nature of the second beast.

Charles Cooper continues his study of the timing of the rapture in the Book of Revelation. He argues that the location of the rapture in the Book of Revelation is notoriously difficult due to the absence of an explicit reference. Another complicating factor is the inability of scholars to agree on the structure of the book. One cannot place the rapture in the book if he or she does not understand the structure. Before we look at the PreWrath timing of the ethereal reunion of the saints with her Lord, we will examine the structure of the Revelation. Chapter 1 through chapter 11:15 is the first prophetic half of the book based on our understanding of Revelation 10.

Charles Cooper now turns our attention to the MidTribulation Rapture position, which teaches that Revelation 14:14-16 depicts the rapture of the Church. Because of the harvest of the earth by the “one like a son of man,” many see this as a clear reference to the rapture. In fact, both pre-tribbers and post-tribbers have also argued for this passage representing the rapture of the Church. Let’s see if this is so.

Throughout Christianity, we develop “ologies” for every subject. We have Theology the study of God, Christology the study of Jesus, Pneumatology the study of the Holy Spirit, Soteriology the study of salvation, Ecclesiology the study of the Church, Eschatology the study of last things, and many more; but rarely is an Israelogy mentioned. It is very concerning that we fail to develop a personal, systematic understanding of God’s continued plan for Israel and especially the Gentile church’s relationship with Israel. Developing a Biblical foundation is essential in understanding the current conflict and the coming end of the age. Charles Cooper examines the Pre-Tribulation Rapture position. For many decades, Revelation 4:1 was argued to be the clear reference to the rapture in the book of Revelation. This interpreation was held by many because of the absence of the term “church” in chapters 4-19. The argument further asserts that the Apostle John represents the Church caught up to heaven, after the church age represented in Revelation 2-3. Only until recently have many pretribbers abandoned this interpretation. Yet, many continue to maintain the pretribulation position. Many reasons are given to support their conclusion, and in this eposide we will examine a few of them.

The body of believers known as the Church has been given the Kingdom of God, and as disciples of the Kingdom, have the privilege and responsibility to proclaim God's truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ until He comes.

Jake McCandless turns to the current conflict in Israel. Hamas’ brutal attack and Israel's retaliation has set the world on fire. Horrific scenes have filled our newsfeeds, but Jake shares from the prophets how the current tragedy pales in comparison to the end of the age. Though this current conflict isn’t the end of the age, Jake shares how it is a microcosm of the end. The full elements prophesied at the end of the age are on display now and we need to take notice. David Rosenthal, President of Zion's Hope, explains the real reason Israel is under siege as the world continues to watch the war in Gaza. The Jewish people believe, as right-believing Christians also believe, that God gave land with definite boundaries to Israel as an everlasting inheritance. The conflict over that land is rooted in who sovereignly gave the land. David also examines the historical account of God's covenant with Abraham, and how that covenant goes beyond land to the redemptive purpose of God through His covenant people Israel.

Michael Ufferman, one of Zion’s Hope’s teaching staff, discusses the appearance of the Angel of the Lord to Gideon. Gideon initially discerned the person he was talking with was a normal person. However, at a certain point, Gideon realized he was likely talking with God Himself. This “person” was the physical manifestation of our Triune God. In Gideon’s case, he was communicating with the third nature of God, the physical nature. This would have been the physical manifestation of God before He condescended to be born of the Virgin Mary. Highlighting the current war in Israel, together they address the spiritual battle that has been raging against Israel for generations.

Michael Ufferman, a member of Zion’s Hope’s teaching staff, digs deeper into the physical manifestations of God (the pre-incarnate Christ) as seen in God’s first testament (the Old Testament). In this episode, Part 4, Michael identifies situations when God did not appear to His people as the Angel of the Lord, and yet His appearance was clearly God in a physical form. Jake McCandless continues from his previous episode in which he shared a comparison using Charles Dickens’ famous quote from A Tale of Two Cities, about the best of times and the worst of times during pre-revolution London and Paris, with the end-of-the-age Church. Scripture gives many details of the Church at the end of the age, most of which is heart-breaking and negative. But during such desperate times the Church rises to new heights. Jake calls these heights a second heroic age of the Church. Jake walks through two passages that express this double-edged sword of the Church at the end of the age. In Revelation 6:9-11, followers of Christ are described as being slain; but in that same passage, the heroics of a Church maintaining their testimony and standing firm in such a time is celebrated. The same dichotomy is seen in Daniel 12:1-3, where it is said that the greatest distress to hit the world will happen at the end of the age, but in the same breath there will be wise followers of Christ that will lead many to righteousness. Jake shares that the Lord is preparing those wise ones now. He also exhorts that a faithful and powerful remnant should be expected, over a massive revival at the end of the age.

Bob Hunt, from Zion's Hope, takes a look at Revelation 13:1-4 and considers what it means to “Worship the Beast”. What will it look like? Who or what is the world worshipping? Bob begins by building a profile of what or who the Beast is. He will pull at least eight characteristics or points from this Scripture text that will help define who or what this beast is. Finally, he will discuss how and why the world will come to worship the Beast. If the Beast is so evil, why will the world worship the Beast? The world is being prepared for the Beast's rising. Our current culture will open its arms to this beast, follow him, and worship him - all the while being totally deceived. No wonder Jesus in Matthew 24 kept repeating, “Do not be deceived.” As Christians we need to be prepared to know the truth and share the truth, with a world prepared to fall for the lie.
