Well, the 93rd Academy Awards happened, it seems. The ratings for this once-celebrated award show took a nosedive, and we think we know why. We’ll discuss the issues this last broadcast had, we’ll briefly talk about the winners of each category (and not have Best Picture as the last category, for some reason), and we’ll tell the Academy what they need to do to recover some of the dignity they once had (and perhaps gain some viewers). A lot has changed since our last Sundance film festival recap, including the festival itself. This year, film geeks around the world streamed (strom?) indie movies from the comfort of their own home, making snide remarks to an empty room. Kent watched 26 of these films in six days! Baconsale is ready to pop a lot of trouble because, once again, we’re going to rank popular tabletop games. If you were able to pick a soundtrack to represent various times in your life, which songs would you pick? That’s the question we’re answering on this episode of Baconsale. They are, in chronological order: The Wizard of Oz (1939), Psycho (1960), The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), Jaws (1975), Rocky (1976), Star Wars (1977), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Ghostbusters (1984), Jurassic Park (1993), and The Matrix (1999). Let’s get down to business to discuss Mulan. Disney had made another live-action remake of a 90s animated classic and decided to make this one a little more realistic. Or did they?
