For a film thats supposed to be this big love letter to the DC movie universe, the film doesn't quite have the epic scope to pull off this feat.

Rise of the Beasts continues this clear storytelling with a straightforward narrative, entertaining characters that you care about, and solid action.

The Godzilla movie where earth is finesse by Planet X. A plan that has us give up Godzilla and Rodan for a cancer drug. Sounds fair but it ain't.

CJ and Prime go over the latest toku news including the recent Lightning Collection drops. Also they dive into Return of Ultraman and the greatness that is Ultraman Jack.

With the big time success of Into The Spiderverse with it getting an Oscar, it was only natural that a sequel happen. This film hits you with all the right kinds of emotions and even with all the additional characters, it still manages to tell a very solid story that picks up from the first film. Great characters, excellent animation, and a damn good soundtrack makes for Sony going 2 for 2 with animated Spiderman films.

We jumping out the plane for this one guys. Wesley Snipes chases down Gary Busey and his teeth through the skies! This podcast gets unhinged quickly. We go teeth first into this underrated movie.

Remakes of old films are often caught in a quandry. On one hand they serve to update an older film that might not have aged well. On the other hand they ultimately serve as nostalgic cash grabs that end up not being better than the original. Unfortunately the latter is the case for this film. Much like with the House Party remake, this movie doesn't hit the highs that the original film hit that made it such a beloved classic. Despite the characters having somewhat of interesting backstories, the charm that the original film had is not here in this remake.

For the first time in the franchise our heroes are getting challenged big time by a villain that doesn't let up. And tbh thats a good thing because that part alone represents what this film is from beginning to end. Crazy amounts of action mixed in with the usual melodrama the franchise is known for.

Just your typical serial killer hiding from the cop's movie. We have all seen it before. The guy transfers his soul into a doll. Now the doll is pushing women out of windows and stabbing voodoo priests. The same ol' same ol' from Hollywood. We talk about this silly horror classic with all the love 3BG usually gives one of its favorites.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 manages to do something rare in that it sticks the landing on this film journey that we've gone on with these characters in the MCU. Everything from the visuals to the music to the story is very well done and keeps you engaged to see where its all gonna lead up. Definitely worth the watch in theaters.

You can always tell when an anime is a featured film. The detail and the care that goes into it...(chef's kiss). This movie is undoubtably a classic. Coming off the 90's film, it was hard to imagine Mario Bros. getting another shot at a movie. So here we are in 2023 and Illumination, the studio behind the Despicable Me franchise, comes in and gives a very solid film. Yes the movie hits on story beats we've seen before but thats perfectly fine. Overall what you have is a good movie that kids will enjoy.

Coming off the previous Metacast episode on Black Sun, CJ & Prime decide to tackle OG Kamen Rider Black to cleanse the palette. This is a damn good show and is the first and only Kamen Rider series to have an actual sequel series.

The John Wick franchise has managed to accomplish this and John Wick 4 encompasses everything that we've seen from the franchise. The film is a full circle moment that started with the first film and never lets up. The action setpieces are phenomenal, the characters are fun & interesting, the story is simple & engaging, and the cinematography work is fantastic. And with a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes, the film is paced so well that you don't feel the length at all. Definitely go see this film, you won't regret it.

A staple in the podcast world is to review the movie Commando. The movie where Arnold is an unstoppable force, causing massive infrastructural damage to the city of Los Angeles. Bodies of unnamed goons and soldiers everywhere, bloody and full of holes. All because they took his daughter...so he can join in on a military coup. You know, Army guy stuff.

#Creed3 #MichaelBJordan #JonathanMajors #Rocky Simplicity is always good especially if its your first time directing a film. Creed 3 marks the directorial debut of Michael B. Jordan who also stars as main character Adonis Creed. What helps MBJ craft a solid and simple film is that he's already been the character the previous 2 times and anime influence meshes well with the sports drama mainly with the story of Adonis and Damien. We've seen this kind of story before and yet it never gets old. Overall definitely worth the watch.

After Drago beat the CTE into Rocky, he decided to retire. But then Life metaphorically beat the CTE into Rocky's finances too. Rocky is rebuilding himself, teaching a new boxer, and watching his son slowly become a Philly scumbag. This movie is unhinged.

Chris and Jackie team up again to make a monster hit that was so good the next movie went into developmental hell! Meanwhile, Rush Hour 2 was a mega-hit.

I don't think anyone figured that Antman as a character would be able to ride out as a solid franchise and yet here we are on the third film. Kicking off Phase 5, Quantumania has alot going for it. Its bigger in scope than the previous two films, it has a big villain in Kang the Conqueror, and it also sets up the bigger stakes for the upcoming Avengers film. 3BG Rating- 4 out of 10

It's not everyday a movie that was made just to fulfill a contract and was mid at best turns into a beloved cult classic. No his best but one that gave us great moments.

What happens when M. Night just does a straight-up adaptation with a not-so-crazy twist? You get this film. This is probably one of M. Night's most straightforward films which will either make people like it or not like it depending on your expectations.

Perhaps its fitting that on Black History Month we talk about Kamen Rider Black Sun, a show that tries to mix in the currect political climate of the BLM movement with a reimagining of the Kamen Rider Black show. Overall the show is a bit of a letdown and we go into it on why that it is.
