#KamenRider #KamenRiderHibiki #Tokusatsu #Toku Kamen Rider Hibiki stands out amongst the other Kamen Rider shows especially during Heisei Era Rider shows. From the Kamen Rider designs down to the enemies, this show initially stood out as being very unique. But in typical business, the show ended up pivoting into a different direction that was in line with previous rider shows. What you end up with is a show that has two different pathways tonally and a movie that in a way brings the show back into its old form.

3BG are back at full power for this one. In a giant sized episode, the critics talk about a movie special to many blacks. Django Unchained may be the best slave movie of all time. And with that orange guys in the white house right now, this review is very illuminating.

The Program was the gritty 90's football movie that was breaking many rules of college sport movies. Showing drug use, corruption and high stakes college administrative business! Do The Right Thing is one of the most important films ever made. It is the story of a hot day in Brooklyn that dives into race relations, community love, and just regular people having a regular day. The movie was great then and is still great now.

Many folks had trepidations about this film given the background, thankfully Brave New World is a solid watch. From solidifying Sam Wilson as Captain America with confidence to the Winter Soldier'esque Political thriller vibes, it's a very entertaining watch. It addresses story beats from MCU movies of the past in a way that doesn't deviate from the story it's telling. Definitely see this film. Black History Month deserves HIGH Black Cinema. This week it's A Soldier's Story. It's a movie every black military has seen at least once. A film that tackles Racism, Black Self-Hate, Colorism, the treatment of black soldiers in the Jim Crow South, and what it's like to see yourself in a position of power for the first time. This a Black All-Star movie and it isn't talked about enough.

Our first of many reviews of the man, the myth, the legend Jim Varney! Dee and Cj have a fun conversation about this loveable redneck. We talk about the movies, Jim's acting, the shenanigans of the film, how black kids viewed him, and of course, likable white folk.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste or to be toyed with. This movie has split up fans for years and has a bigger following. Martin Scorsese directs another amazing movie that's actually out of his wheelhouse. Psychological Thriller that is heavily metaphoric and symbolic. We begin 2025 with Metal Gear! The 4th game will go down as the one people didn't like but is probably the most protected by the fans. It was a game Kojima didn't want to make but made it because he loved us so much. A game that looks gorgeous and the gameplay is like a dream but overshadowed by nearly 9 hours of cutscenes. #Dracula #Nosferatu #Horror A remake of the 1922 film, Nosferatu is a movie that nails horror noir vibes of the original film top the bottom. Bill Skarsgård is unrecognizable as the Count and he really builds on the characters motivations as he's psychically stalks Lily Rose-Depp's character of Ellen. Great cinematography, great performance, brooding music that matches the films vibes. Definitely go see this film.

The last 3BGPodcast of the year and it's our Christmas Movie! This year we talk about the Dark Knight again! Tim Burton's second go at Batman was met with praise and controversy. The Geeks talk about it all, the toys, the acting, and even Burton's career. It's a perfect way to cap off an excellent year for 3BG!

Director Jeff Fowler really has a good grasp on the world of Sonic the Hedgehog and does a phenominal job of making you care on the plight of the characters. In this instance, he nails everything about Shadow top to bottom. And even past that character, just expanding on the worldbuilding of the first 2 movies is great to watch. Go see this film immediately.

#SpiderMan #KravenTheHunter #Kraven #Sony #SpiderVerse This movie is standard action fare in line with the sort of Direct to Home Video throwback from the 80's/90's. The added bonus is this movie using Kraven as the basis of said action film. While the character in the comics does have lore that you could build a movie on, this film scratches the surface in ways that could've been better. You ultimately get a film that ends up being very middle of the road despite it being the best of the SpiderMan spinoff set of movies. Thank God Sony is ending this.

Heist Cinema Winter continues with us redoing our second episode. 13 years ago we tackled the Jet Li movie "High Risk". We return to is as seasoned film critics and guys looking back out our youth in the late 90s.

While it doesn't hit the same highs as say Top Gun Maverick, Ridley Scott does in a way play it safe. Not a bad thing per se but same time the film hits the same story beats of the first movie. Denzel ends up stealing this movie top to bottom and he's worth it alone to go see this movie.

After a 7 year break, Don Mancini and the gang construct a new Chucky movie made for "The New Millenium". That's 90's Boomer talk for "Gen X is gonna love this!". This time Chucky is resurrected by his hot goth serial killer girlfriend Tiffany played by the ultra MILF Jennifer Tilly. Also, the great John Ritter is in this, NICE! Katherine Heigel is in it to. I know, neat. This movie is a piece of crap, but it's a cult classic and the 3 brown guys get all up in it.

In practicality, the first Joker movie should never have gotten a sequel especially with how standalone the film was and its ending. But typical of Hollywood, money talks so a sequel was greenlit. This film doesn't do a good job overall of justifying itself for existing despite the great acting, great cinematography, and good music. The story is what sinks this film on top of the juxtoposition of trying to be a musical and drama.

It's amazing how movie franchises start off so tame and heavy, then turn into action porn two movies later. Well, the Rambo series did the same and had an ACAB storyline too. The man was just passing through until the big bad sheriff wanted to treat a Nam Vet like a black man in the 1950s. They weren't ready for that Vet to be RAMBO! Just think, there are racist and Blue Lives Matter people who love this movie and learn NOTHING!

The last movie of the trilogy, while not the best in the series its still pretty awesome. Everything wrapped up perfectly and time paradoxes close...sort of. We talk about it all in the final installment.

On the front end the film presents itself like a horror movie of sorts with how they go about the "Mother in law from hell" trope and yet at every turn the movie goes opposite of what we thinks its gonna go. This may throw off some folks and this also makes for a funny film of sorts. Funny in the way it leans on the goofiness of the dialogue and the scene setups.

Like yeah the OG movie got a cartoon series but that was to be expected. This movie overall is fine and does the job of getting in and out with its straightforward plot. Everyone in this film came to have fun and Keaton is at the forefront of it playing Beetlejuice and its like he never left. Add on William Defoe stealing the film at time and you got a film thats a good time.

The third movie was supposed to be separate from the previous two. Well, things change. This movie went from being mocked to somewhat loved by the fanbase. ...somewhat. This was Justin Lin's first try at the series and he made the greatest character ever, HAN. We talk about cars, the 2000s, South Koreans, weeb culture, wooden acting, and J-Rap.

Somewhere in the Australian Rain Forest, there is a land of fairies. Fairies who talk with American accents help protect and grow the rainforest. That is until...(grunt)...MAN...shows up destroying the forest. In doing so they release the evil spirit, Hexxus. The evil-chad-looking spirit that can SANG! The 3 Brown Nerds sit down to talk about this movie that wasn't a classic but every 90's kid remembers.

For the first time, 3BG talks about a Z-Grade horror movie. A movie that was made during post-covid mania, is about a killer who is just as equally late to the party. DjTsu and Dee...try, to talk about this movie. At least Angela from Sleepaway Camp is in it.

Its a simple action, comedy movie that hits on the same beats that we've seen before with some deviations here and there. Also helps that Damon and Affleck have a good comradery and the supporting cast(including Ving Rhames and Ron Perlman) do a great job in the roles. Solid little Sunday afternoon flick that doesn't overstay its welcome.
