Reading Exodus 7 for Thursday, March 23rd. Moses performs miracles as God commanded him, but Pharaoh’s magicians did similar miracles, and Pharaoh was still not willing to allow The Israelites to go.

Reading Exodus 6 for Wednesday, March 22nd. God tells Moses to ask Pharaoh again to let His people go, but Moses asks why anyone would care to listen to him.

Reading Exodus 5 for Tuesday, March 21st. Moses tells Pharaoh what God commanded, but Pharaoh only made the work harder for God’s people.

Reading Exodus 4 for Monday, March 20th. God prepared Moses to confront Pharaoh. Then Moses meets with God on the way to Egypt, and, to avoid their son’s immediate death, Moses’ wife Zipporah does an emergency circumcision on their son to confirm his also being set apart as one of God’s chosen people.

Reading Exodus 2 for Thursday, March 16th. Moses is born, hidden, raised as an Egyptian, and kills another Egyptian for beating an Israelite. He then flees as a fugitive to a place where he is accepted, and then is given a wife.

Reading Genesis 50 for Tuesday, March 14th. Jacob was taken to be buried with his relatives after being embalmed. Joseph had mercy on his fearful brothers. Joseph died at the age of 110.

Reading Genesis 42 for Saturday March 4th. Joseph confronted his brothers and gave them a hard time, even though they did not recognize him, and the predictions from his earlier dreams were fulfilled.

Reading Genesis 23 for Friday, February 3rd. Abraham’s wife Sarah dies at the age of 127, and Abraham buys a plot of land for a burial site for her.

Reading Genesis 22 for Thursday, February 2nd. God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac, but then stopped him before the slaying.

Reading Genesis 21 for Wednesday, February 1st. Abraham is accommodating to his wife’s demands. He gives up some of his flock to ensure Abimelech’s servants’ misdeeds are not repeated. He also obeys God’s command to circumcise his son from Sarah, Isaac.
