You'll see a high of 53 degrees, with southeast Pennsylvania sits in the middle at 56 degrees. Moving on. But the wind is the first sign of what's coming. Rain arrives overnight. The heaviest downpours hit between 11 P.M. and 2 A.M. It's a soaker. Monday brings the main event, a strong cold front sweeps through. We're facing an Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms, the timing looks to be late afternoon into the evening. The primary threat is damaging wind gusts over 60 miles an hour. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out, mainly near and east of I-99. Temperature-wise. Once that front clears, reality sets in, tuesday brings a massive temperature crash. Highs drop into the 30s and low 40s, that's a 30-degree swing from Monday. Rain may change to snow showers Monday night in the mountains, with a dusting possible. Looking ahead. Looking at the week ahead. Tuesday stays windy and cold. We slowly recover toward normal by Thursday and Friday, with highs in the low 50s. Another chance of rain returns next Saturday. Charge your phones now and keep them handy — you might need alerts tonight. See you this afternoon.

Pennsylvania Weather 3/10 Morning - 30° Above Normal
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll feel something wild, it's 78 degrees in Philadelphia right now. That's May weather showing up two months early. We're running 30 degrees above normal across the entire state, the kind of warmth that makes you question your calendar. Some patchy fog near the coast burns off by 9 A.M., then sunshine takes over. Philadelphia hits 78. Central Pennsylvania reaches 76, pittsburgh starts cloudier but climbs to 72 by afternoon. Light southwest winds keep things comfortable. As the sun sets. Tonight stays mild. Lows in the low to mid 50s statewide. Partly cloudy skies. The warmth hangs on. Wednesday brings more record heat — mid 70s again — but the story shifts by evening. A strong cold front barrels in from the west with showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could turn severe Wednesday night, especially across western and central Pennsylvania. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk for much of the state. Temperature-wise. Thursday morning, that front clears out and temperatures crash, highs only reach the upper 40s to near 60. Rain showers change to snow in western Pennsylvania. Northwest winds gust to 30 miles an hour, making it feel even colder. Looking ahead. Looking at the week ahead. Friday stays chilly — highs in the 50s — with partly sunny skies and breezy conditions. Saturday and Sunday bring a gradual warm up back into the 50s and low 60s. Mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers returning late Sunday into Monday. Enjoy this spring preview today. But keep one eye on Wednesday night. Looking ahead. See you this afternoon.

Pennsylvania Weather 3/9 Midday - 30° Above Normal
Good afternoon. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you'll think someone reset the calendar. It's 46 degrees. That's not a typo — we're starting the day warmer than most March afternoons. Sunshine owns the entire state today. Southeast Pennsylvania climbs to 70 degrees by late afternoon. Central PA hits 68. Western PA reaches 69, with southwest winds gusting to 13 miles an hour. Here's the catch — humidity drops into the upper 20s. That combination of dry air and gusty winds creates fire weather concerns. If you're thinking about burning brush today, don't. Tonight stays mild. Southeast PA drops to 46 with patchy fog developing after 4 A.M. Central PA cools to 43 under mostly clear skies. Western PA bottoms out at 52 — warmer than this morning's low. Tuesday pushes even higher. Southeast PA reaches 74 after morning fog clears. Central PA tops out at 75 under sunny skies. Western PA hits 72, though a slight chance of rain develops after 8 A.M. Here's where it gets dramatic. Tuesday and Wednesday bring record-challenging warmth — 30 degrees above average. Wednesday stays in the low to mid 70s statewide, but a strong cold front barrels through Wednesday night into Thursday. Parts of central and western PA face a slight risk for severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and hail are possible. Behind that front? A temperature crash. Thursday's highs only reach the upper 40s to near 60, with rain possibly changing to snow showers across higher terrain. Gusty northwest winds make it feel even colder. Friday through the weekend settles into more seasonable March weather — upper 40s to mid 50s with occasional chances for rain or snow showers. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts. The weather gods are about to remember it's still March. See you this evening.

Pennsylvania Weather 3/9 Morning - 25° Above Normal
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll wonder if someone flipped the calendar ahead two months. We're waking up to 45 degrees statewide. That's not a typo. Sunshine owns the day. Southeast sees patchy fog between 8 and 9 A.M., then clears to brilliant blue. Philadelphia climbs to 70 degrees. Western Pennsylvania hits 69. Central areas reach 68. Southwest winds gust to 10 miles an hour, just enough to remind you they're there. In Here's kicker, we're running 30 degrees to 25 degrees above normal for early March. This feels like mid-May crashed the party uninvited. Tonight stays mild. Partly cloudy skies develop statewide. Patchy fog returns after 2 A.M., especially in the southeast. Lows drop to the mid-40s to low 50s. Light winds persist. Tuesday cranks the heat even higher. Sunny skies push central Pennsylvania to 75 degrees. Southeast hits 74. Western areas reach 72. Some spots could challenge daily records. Light winds make it feel comfortable, not oppressive. Then Wednesday flips the script. Morning starts warm — mid-70s again — but a powerful cold front barrels in by evening. Rain showers develop, with thunderstorms possible Wednesday night. South of I-80 and west of the Susquehanna River, some storms could turn severe. Damaging winds and hail are the primary threats. Behind that front? A dramatic crash. Thursday morning lows plunge to the 30s. Rain changes to snow showers in the mountains. Northwest winds gust to 30 miles an hour. Highs struggle to reach the upper 40s. Friday through the weekend brings typical March weather. Highs in the low 50s. A few rain or snow showers possible Friday and again Sunday. Nothing significant expected. Enjoy this warm stretch. Spring equinox is just 11 days away. And we're getting a preview today. See you this afternoon.

Pennsylvania Weather 3/8 Midday - 30° Above Normal
Good afternoon. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside this morning and thought you were walking through a cloud, you weren't wrong. Dense fog blanketed the state early, but that's lifting as a cold front sweeps through. By mid-morning, you'll see blue sky again. Here's where it gets interesting. Philadelphia hits 70 degrees today — running 30 degrees above normal for early March. Pittsburgh sits at 61. Central Pennsylvania splits the difference at 65. These are May-like numbers, folks. If you've got outdoor plans, this is your day. Tonight brings mostly clear skies. Lows drop to the low 40s statewide under light winds. Perfect sleeping weather if you crack a window. Monday kicks off a gorgeous stretch. Sunshine dominates with highs climbing into the upper 60s. But Tuesday? That's when things get wild. We're talking low to mid 70s — 30 degrees above average. We could challenge daily records. Mid-May temperatures in mid-March. Wednesday stays warm, but clouds build as our next system approaches. Rain showers develop by evening, with thunderstorms possible across western Pennsylvania late Wednesday as a strong cold front bears down. Thursday brings the dramatic shift. That front crashes through with rain — possibly mixing with snow in the northwest — and gusty winds. Temperatures plunge from the 60s and 70s back to the 40s and 50s. A 30-degree temperature crash in 24 hours. Classic Pennsylvania weather. Friday stays breezy and cooler with partly sunny skies. Highs reach the low 50s. One more thing — clocks spring forward one hour tonight. You'll lose an hour of sleep, but we're gaining daylight. Spring equinox is just 12 days away. See you this evening.
Pennsylvania Weather 3/8 Morning - 30° Above Normal
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside early, you walked straight into a wall of fog. Visibility dropped below a quarter mile in spots — the kind of thick soup that makes your headlights bounce right back at you. That fog should lift by mid-morning as a cold front sweeps through, bringing drier air behind it. Down in Philadelphia and the southeast, you're hitting 70 degrees today with morning showers wrapping up by noon. That fog clears as west winds pick up around 10 miles an hour. Central Pennsylvania — Harrisburg and State College — partly sunny skies take over after the fog burns off by 9 A.M. Highs around 65 degrees. Pleasant afternoon ahead. Out west in Pittsburgh, mostly sunny after early clouds. You'll reach 61 degrees with west winds gusting to 24 miles an hour behind that front. Tonight, clear skies return statewide. Lows drop to the low 40s — 43 degrees in Philly and Pittsburgh, 40 degrees in Harrisburg. Now here's where things get interesting. Monday brings wall-to-wall sunshine with highs climbing to the upper 60s. It'll feel more like late April than early March. Tuesday pushes even warmer — highs surge into the low to mid 70s statewide. Some spots could challenge daily records as temperatures run 30 degrees above normal. Wednesday, a strong storm system arrives with showers and possible thunderstorms. Severe weather is possible, especially across western Pennsylvania. Highs still reach the low to mid 70s before the front crashes through. Thursday turns sharply colder behind that front. Rain and snow showers, gusty winds. And highs only in the low 50s southeast, low 40s west. Classic Pennsylvania — from record warmth to snow showers in 48 hours. Enjoy the quiet morning once that fog lifts. See you this afternoon.
Pennsylvania Weather 3/7 Morning - Fog Flip Flop!
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside this morning and you'll feel that damp chill clinging to the air — classic early March in Pennsylvania. We're waking up to 40 degrees statewide, with fog still lingering in spots after that overnight low of 37. But here's the twist: this gray, quiet morning is just the calm before a wild weather ride. Western Pennsylvania is bracing for our first severe thunderstorm threat of 2026. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the region under a Slight Risk, with Pittsburgh and points west facing potential damaging winds, hail. And even an isolated tornado this afternoon. Temperatures will soar to 78 degrees — that's 30 degrees above normal for early March — before storms roll through between 4 and 8 P.M. The National Weather Service warns that any tornado that forms could be stronger than usual for this time of year. After the storms, temperatures crash back to 50 overnight. Central Pennsylvania sits in the middle of this weather sandwich. You'll start with areas of fog this morning, then watch temperatures climb to 57 degrees. But by late afternoon, showers and thunderstorms become likely as that same cold front moves through. Tonight stays unusually warm, with lows only dropping to 56 degrees — that's more like May than March. Southeast Pennsylvania gets the milder version of this system. Philadelphia and surrounding areas will see patchy fog burn off by late morning, with highs reaching 50 degrees. Rain showers arrive after 7 P.M., but the bigger story is what happens overnight: temperatures actually rise to 59 degrees by Sunday morning. That's right — you'll wake up warmer than our afternoon high today. Looking ahead, we're in for a temperature rollercoaster. Sunday brings a brief break from the rain, with highs jumping to 68 in the southeast and 61 in the west. But then we warm up even more — Monday and Tuesday could challenge record highs, with widespread 70s statewide. By Wednesday, another storm system arrives with more rain and thunderstorms, followed by a sharp cooldown. We'll drop from the 70s back to the 40s by next Friday. In Here's your sunshine update, we're gaining 2 minutes and 38 seconds of daylight today, with sunrise at 6:26 A.M. and sunset at 5:59 P.M. The spring equinox is just 13 days away — though with this week's weather whiplash, it might feel like we're skipping straight to summer before remembering it's still March. See you this afternoon.
Pennsylvania Weather 3/7 Morning - Fog to Flash Flood
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you might think someone fast-forwarded the calendar to late May. **Pennsylvania** is absolutely baking today. Pittsburgh is threatening to smash the 1983 record of 76 degrees—we could see 78 this afternoon. That's a staggering **30 degrees above normal**. But here's the catch: this warmth comes with a price. Western Pennsylvania is under the gun today. You hit the upper 70s, but keep one eye on the sky. Thunderstorms fire up right around **4 P.M.** The worst of it rolls through between **7 P.M. and midnight**, bringing torrential rain and damaging winds. There's even a slight risk of a tornado—that's rare for March, folks. By Sunday, you calm down to 61 degrees. Central Pennsylvania, you're dealing with a different start this morning. Monroe County is under a Dense Fog Advisory until **10 A.M.**, so take it slow on the roads. Once that burns off, you reach 57 degrees with a few showers. Tonight brings some rumbles, but nothing severe. Sunday rebounds beautifully with sunshine and 63 degrees. Down in Southeast Pennsylvania, it's a bit murkier. You hold in the 50s with patchy drizzle and fog. But here's a weird twist—temperatures actually rise overnight tonight. You'll wake up Sunday morning to 68 degrees and sun, feeling almost summery. Looking ahead. Monday and Tuesday keep flirting with record highs in the 70s. A cold front sweeps through Wednesday, knocking us back to the 50s with widespread rain. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight today, but spring isn't here quietly—it's arriving with a bang. Keep those umbrellas handy today. See you tomorrow. See you this afternoon.
Pennsylvania Weather 3/6 Morning - 38° Above Normal
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll feel it. Damp, gray, foggy. We picked up a quarter inch of rain overnight. And that soggy feeling is sticking around. Southeast Pennsylvania wakes up under thick clouds and patchy fog. High near 48 degrees. Light drizzle possible, but nothing you can't handle. Northeast winds around 10 miles an hour keep things feeling raw. Tonight drops to 39 degrees with more fog rolling in. Now here's where things get interesting. Western Pennsylvania is living in a completely different season. Currently 56 degrees, climbing to 70 degrees by mid-afternoon. That's a 38 degrees-degree split statewide. Fog clears by 8 A.M., then partly sunny skies take over. A 30 percent chance of light rain pops up late morning through early afternoon. Tonight stays mild at 59 degrees. Central Pennsylvania splits the difference. High near 47 degrees with fog before 9 A.M. and a slight chance of light rain this afternoon. Cloudy skies stick around all day. Tonight dips to 42 degrees with more fog developing after dark. Here's your heads-up for the weekend. Saturday brings an even bigger temperature divide — the west hits 77 degrees while the east struggles to reach 58 degrees. Rain and thunderstorms arrive Saturday night, some possibly severe in western areas. Damaging winds are the main threat. Sunday clears out beautifully with highs in the low 60s statewide. Monday turns gorgeous — sunny skies and highs near 70 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday bring unseasonable warmth, with highs climbing into the low to mid 70s. That's 38 degrees above normal for early March. If you're heading out this morning, take it slow. That fog can drop visibility without warning. See you tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast See you tomorrow.
Pennsylvania Weather March 5 Midday - Rain Starting 11 AM
Good afternoon. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. That damp chill you felt this morning? Light drizzle's been falling since overnight, leaving us with about a tenth of an inch. We're sitting at 43 degrees right now. But this drizzle is just the opening act. In the next 24 hours. Down in Southeast Pennsylvania, rain wraps up by mid-morning, but the fog hangs around like an unwanted houseguest. You'll hit 48 degrees with northeast winds gusting to 25 miles an hour. Tonight, rain returns around 9 P.M. With widespread fog. Lows drop to 39. Western Pennsylvania gets the main event. Rain likely before 1 P.M., then steady rain with a slight chance of thunderstorms. You're the warm spot today — climbing to 65 degrees. Rain continues tonight until 3 A.M., then patchy fog rolls in. Lows around 57. Central Pennsylvania sits right in the middle. Rain through the afternoon with highs near 48. Tonight, rain intensifies, peaking around 6 P.M. Expect a half to three quarters of an inch before lows fall to 40 by dawn. Friday brings relief. Patchy fog clears by 7 A.M., then cloudy skies stick around. Highs range from 47 in the east to 71 out west. Here's your week ahead. Saturday starts cloudy with showers, then rain after 7 P.M. Highs from 60 to 77. Sunday sees morning showers, then partly sunny with highs in the low 60s. Monday turns sunny, climbing to upper 60s. Tuesday pushes into the low to mid 70s — warmest temperatures since late fall. Wednesday brings a chance of showers with highs in the mid 70s. Spring warmth is knocking on the door. The equinox is just two weeks away. And we're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight each day. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
Pennsylvania Weather March 5 Morning - Dense Fog Advisory
Good morning. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll hit a wall of gray. Dense fog has swallowed most of the state this morning, cutting visibility to a quarter mile or less. That Advisory runs until 10 A.M. For western Pennsylvania. Mix in steady rain. And yeah. Give yourself extra time this morning. In the next 24 hours. Now here's where Pennsylvania gets weird. The state is split down the middle today. And I mean dramatically split. Out west. Pittsburgh is having a full-on spring preview. You're climbing to 65 degrees — nearly 39 degrees warmer than normal for early March. There's even a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, especially south of I-70. March thunder. That's not something you hear every day. Push east and it's a different planet. Central Pennsylvania stays locked in the cool air, topping out at 48 degrees with rain and fog hanging around all day. Southeast Pennsylvania? Same story. Highs near 48, rain likely through the afternoon. The fog doesn't quit. Tonight, rain continues statewide. Lows hit 39 in the southeast, 40 in central areas. And hold in the mid-50s out west. That's a 39 degrees-degree spread across the Commonwealth while you sleep. Friday brings some relief. Rain tapers off, though clouds and patchy fog stick around. Highs reach 47 in the southeast, 50 central. And a mild 71 out west. Here's your heads-up for the weekend. Saturday could bring severe thunderstorms to western Pennsylvania, with record warmth possible — highs near 77. By early next week, much of the state could see 70s. We're talking the warmest temperatures since last fall. Spring's coming early, folks. Tonight's full moon? Hidden behind all these clouds. But sunshine returns next week with that warmth. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
Pennsylvania Weather March 4 Evening - Rain Starting 9 PM
Good evening. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. That light rain you heard overnight? Just a preview. After one of the driest winters on record. Pennsylvania is about to get the soaking it needs. But the warmth will be anything but evenly distributed. In the next 24 hours. Here's the setup. A stalled front across the state is creating two very different weather stories. Down in Southeast Pennsylvania, you're sitting at 51 degrees under gray skies. A slight chance of rain around 7 P.M., then fog rolls in overnight. Lows dip to 42. Thursday stays cool and damp with rain likely — highs only near 50 degrees. Head west and it's a different world. Western Pennsylvania surges to 66 degrees Thursday. That's nearly 39 degrees warmer than normal for early March. Rain moves in after 9 P.M. Tonight and falls heavy at times, with even a rumble of thunder possible. Central Pennsylvania sits in the middle — 43 degrees now, rain developing after midnight. And Thursday's high only reaches 51. The reason? Cold air damming. That's meteorologist-speak for cold air getting trapped east of the mountains while warm air floods in from the southwest. Looking ahead, the warmth wins statewide by Saturday. We're talking highs near 70 in central areas, mid-70s out west. That would be the warmest air since late last fall. Showers and thunderstorms accompany the warm-up, then we dry out early next week. Tonight's full moon won't be easy to spot through all those clouds. But the spring equinox is just two weeks away. And this weekend, it might actually feel like it. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
Pennsylvania Weather March 4 Evening - 41° Above Normal
Good evening. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. You heard that steady dripping overnight, right? After one of the driest winters on record, the skies are finally opening up. We picked up about a sixth of an inch of rain across much of the state. And frankly, we're just getting started. In the next 24 hours. Here's how your day unfolds. Southeastern Pennsylvania sits at 51 degrees under gray skies. Patchy fog is lingering through mid-morning, but keep that umbrella handy — light rain returns by late afternoon. Tonight, that rain becomes steady as temperatures slip to 41 degrees. Head west and the story shifts. Western Pennsylvania actually warms up to 55 degrees this afternoon. But the real headline arrives tonight. Rain moves in after 9 P.M. and intensifies toward dawn. By Thursday morning. Pittsburgh could see three-quarters of an inch of rain. Temperatures hold in the lower 50s overnight. Central Pennsylvania sits right in the middle at 45 degrees. Expect fog and drizzle to develop this evening, with steadier rain rolling in overnight. Lows bottom out near 43 degrees. Thursday keeps the taps running statewide. The southeast stays cool at 51 degrees. But out west?
