One of the most consistently funny shows out there is FX's "What We Do In The Shadows." While the writing and performances have received praise, the show's costumes and how they blend period and modern aesthetics to place these vampires in a contemporary setting is an underusing element that contains many subtle details from costume designer Laura Montgomery. A Primetime Emmy Award winner for the show's third season, Laura's work on season 4 is just as impressive, if not more so. "Every Body," the documentary about the lives of three intersex individuals, had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival a few weeks ago, where it received positive reviews for filmmaker Julie Cohen's first solo outing as a director. "Elemental" had its world premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival and is now playing in theaters by Pixar. "Moonage Daydream" had its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and later went on to play at the Toronto Film Festival, get acquired by NEON, become the first documentary in over 50 years to be shortlisted for Best Sound and made the Academy's shortlist for Best Documentary Feature. It would go on to win Best Sound awards from the Cinema Audio Society and Cinema Eye Honors, and now it's eligible for this year's Emmy Awards over a year after it premiered.
