Ep 16How to fix Bowel and GI Issues on Carnivore Diet - let's talk about poop - Episode 16 - The Meat Medic Podcast

In today's episode we are discussing poop. That's right. GI issues on the Carnivore Diet. It happens and we have to acknowledge it. I believe many, if not most people get some issue with their bowels at the start, but usually it's pretty easily resolved. Like others I had a few issues when starting on the carnivore diet, particularly with constipation, but it was pretty easily resolved by adding in more fat. Here's a bit of background about why you might get some issues, and some simple tips to try to help yourself. If these tips don't work, it might be time to see a doctor to make sure there's no other issues happening. _Welcome to The Meat Medic Podcast. I'm your host Dr Suresh Khirwadkar. Ep 14Why do doctors seem to only want to prescribe drugs rather than spending time fixing? Episode 14

E

Why is it that doctors seem to only prescribe medications rather than try to actually fix the issues that people have? This may seem unfair on doctors, and some will be watching this thinking 'I don't do that'! Well that's often the take home message that patients get, whether doctors mean it or not. But why is this? Why can't doctors help more than just offering drugs to people? What about taking time to explore the issues, discuss other ways of treating their problems, or even preventative treatment?I discuss 4 of the main reasons:Lack of time spent with the patientLack of knowledge and trainingIncentives to prescribe and kickbacks from pharmaceutical companiesGuidelines encouraging us to only prescribe_Welcome to The Meat Medic Podcast. Ep 13Sugar addiction, menstrual problems, weight loss and carnivore diet: Special Guest Interview: Dr Adaure Osuji - Episode 13 - The Meat Medic Podcast

E

_Special Guest Interview: Dr Adaure Osuji_In today's episode I'm joined by my special guest Dr Adaure Osuji who is a GP in Australia and like myself likes to focus on helping patients with chronic diseases, chronic pain, chronic problems and has a holistic approach to her care. Like many others Adaure became somewhat disillusioned with the standard medical system, especially the habit of short quick consults and rushing for prescribing.Dr Adaure soon realised it was better for her to become a health coach and has left mainstream General Practice, in part due to the risk and fear of being punished for _daring to help patients_ by spending longer with them. This is a concern many of us doing this work share.Dr Adaure and I discuss many things in this episode including:- Weight- Hormones, menstrual health, painful periods and irregular periods- Restrictions on foreign doctors here in Australia- The downsides of short quick consults- Doctors being punished for speaking out on diet or spending time with their patients- Health coaching vs being a GP- Carnivore diet and how this helped her personally- Starting a low carb or carnivore dietDr Adaure Osuji is founder and owner of Adore Health Coaching - https://adorehealthcoach.com and can be found @adorehealthcoach on instagram. _Welcome to The Meat Medic Podcast. Ep 12Please stop doing this! The dangers of online advice - Episode 12 - The Meat Medic Podcast

Please stop getting advice from random strangers on the internet. In today's episode I discuss ... well this. Getting advice from random strangers on the internet. Like many people I'm on social media, of course, I'm on YouTube, but also Reddit, Facebook, instagram etc. And I stumbled across so many threads where people are encouraging each other to eat utter garbage, processed foods, and just blatantly dangerous food, telling each other it's good for them. Please just stop getting advice from people who haven't got a clue!(Yes I'm aware of the irony, I'm giving health advice on the internet)Welcome to The Meat Medic Podcast. Ep 10Have been lied to our whole lives? Episode 10

E

I've been carnivore for 4 months now. I wanted to share my latest blood test results, and I wanted to discuss the lie that we've all been sold - that a 'balanced' diet, aka 'everything in moderation' is perfectly healthy for us. It isn't!These food companies and governments know we can't moderate. They know their food is addicted. And they must know the food is bad for us. Yet they push it anyway.Listen in for the full story. Please subscribe and share if you found this episode useful.
