There is no greater pain that I have experienced or witnessed, on this earth than the death of a child, regardless of the cause or the age they left this earth. Using the word death in the same sentence with my son's name, even now makes my stomach come up in my throat. (You know that feeling all too well.) What is a habit? Webster says it's a regular tendency or practice. It's any regular repeated behavior. Why is that important for you? Because what you do in your daily life, that repeats itself over and over, allows the brain to make your actions automatic, this is also true for your thoughts. The repeated actions and or thoughts create a pathway in your brain that runs without awareness. This is important for you if.... you have developed some habits that are not producing the results you would like in managing your grief. It takes awareness to create a new pathway. God says how a man thinks in his heart becomes who he is. Proverbs 23:7. It is to my great sorrow, that a dear friend, Tom Franklin, left his earthly home this past week. Today, I'm replaying the podcast we did together and honor of his great example of living, loving and serving well. To honor Tom's memory donations can be made to New Life Christian Missions. Not once, not twice, but every time we had the privilege to speak to him. When I heard the news this past week. My heart sank for his precious wife and family. But I must say that my heart also smiled that he heard the words he's preached about his whole life. Well done my good and faithful servant! Welcome home. We will miss you, Tom. What a privilege to have walked this earth knowing you.
