The Everyday Sniper Episode 139 Weird Days, Rifle Set Up Welcome to the Everyday Sniper Podcast, just Frank in this episode, and I am getting back into the saddle of talking Precision Rifle. In this episode, I go over rifle set up and continue the discussion started by Philip V and myself from the last episode. I put up two online training lessons up in the forum regarding rifle set up with a bit more focus on how the stock controls scope set up. It's an odd week for me, I have some travel happening, and just coming off the interview podcasts it feels weird to me. The Everyday Sniper Episode 133 Paul Philips 6k Shot Show Interview We sat down with Paul Philips and his ELR Team including Mark Lonsdale and their FO Maurice to discuss the 6000-yard impact they had while doping their rifles. ELR is quickly becoming one of the growing segments of precision rifle shooting. Paul and his Team are at the forefront of this movement and it's great to be able to talk to them about it. The bullets in the title page are actually the bullets used and the one recovered from the site of the shot. So you can see just how little deformation takes place even hitting the steel target. The Everyday Sniper Episode 130 Pre Shot Roll, with Zero Compromise, Training, APO Pre Shot Show edition of the Everyday Sniper Podcast. We are wheels up in the AM to head to Las Vegas and attend the 2019 Shot Show. I will be working the range on Monday with MHSA and then we are on the show floor bringing you the best we find. We took the Zero Compromise optic out to the range on Thursday to give it an initial once over. Passed with flying colors. So I breakdown some of the better points of the Scope. I have a timeline for the APO Saber M700 SH Edition Rifle. This rifle will be ready for delivery at the end of February. We have everything finalized and the hardware is in production. The Everyday Sniper Episode 121 Philip Velayo Interview PHILLIP VELAYO Lead Shooting Instructor. Velayo is a 10-year Marine Corps veteran having served his whole career in the Scout Sniper community. During his time, Phillip completed 4 overseas deployments and served in all billets available to a Scout Sniper. His last three years of service were spent at the 1st Marine Division Scout Sniper School as the Primary Marksmanship Instructor. In 2016, Phillip was nominated for Scout Sniper Instructor of the Year for his meticulous instruction that resulted in institutional changes in the training of Marine Scout Snipers in both formal schools and unit level training. Phillip is also well known as a nationally ranked precision rifle competitor in the Precision Rifle Series and National Rifle League circuits. The Everyday Sniper Episode 117 Fundamental Frank talks NPA Natural Point of Aim, it's less influence recoil management. Its rifle pointed to the target, body pointed to the rifle. We can almost overlook it in the prone, but once you get to alternate positions it really makes a difference. By understanding how the fundamentals of marksmanship apply to each position, the cause and effect, you can then build better positions. The Everyday Sniper Episode 106 Sig BDX System with MGTS I am at Machine Gun Tours in Lakewood CO with Alan Samuel. Alan set up a day at the range with the new Sig Optics BDX system. We give you an informal BDX AAR. We were both very impressed with with the Sig BDX system understanding the limitation and use of the system. This is a Gen 1 MOA, Hunting System, but it has a ton of potential and we explore our thoughts on the system. While I think there are better ways to skin this cat, it is another tool in the toolbox. Toolboxes require work to fill they are not just an add water proposition. TRASOL, the new update to the software absolutely kicks butt. We used it today for the rollover stuff and since Desert Tech got the new developer the software has been a winner. The Everyday Sniper Episode 104 Angles When Shooting Talking about Angles in this episode. It starts off with body position and the elimination of angles in our form. But then it moves to Minute of Angles vs Milliradians. Mils vs MOA is a huge topic of discussion that is usually convoluted and wrong. It's someting a lot of people think they understand but the majority are off the mark by just enough to be dangerous. Mils vs MOA practically speaking is about communication and how your mind reads the reticle. The reticle is our point of interaction with the scope. How we can visual the unit of adjustment, the angle is based around that aspect of our shooting. I want marksmanship elements built into a rifle. I want grip adjustment, 3 position butt plates and hyper adjustable stocks that fit the rifle to the shooter better and easier.
