Mary is a picture of what happens when the Spirit of God moves in you: faith, surrender, and worship. 1. Faith is trusting that “nothing is impossible for God.” 2. Surrender says “behold, I am a servant of the Lord.” 3. Worship is our response to God. “My Soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”

Pride is spiritual cancer: it eats up every possibility of love and contentment. Jesus is the cure, He is truly our only hope.

An idol demands sacrifice. - When MONEY is your idol it will SACRIFICE your relationship with God, people, and peace. - When JESUS is Before ALL things in our lives, HE made the sacrifice and we receive a relationship with God, His people, and PEACE. “ He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Jim Elliot

FLEE sexual immorality. Repent = Run away from sexual temptation and run to Jesus.

God LOVED so God GAVE. If you BELIEVE, you RECEIVE eternal life.

It is not love to merely meet physical needs and neglect to share the good news of eternal life.

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11

Love accepts because at the cross of Christ God accepted us even when we were unacceptable.

Who is my neighbor? is the wrong question. It limits love. Be neighborly to whomever God puts in your path.

In a GOSPEL AWAKENING the Holy Spirit: 1.Initiates revival 2.Glorifies JESUS (not the participants) 3.Draws people to surrender their lives to JESUS.

Holiness is not a hindrance to our freedom, but true freedom is only found in being a slave to God. Revival will only come when we desire God with all of our heart, pray to God with all of our might, and live for God with all of our lives.

Humble prayer is a desperate cry to a merciful God.

One of the purposes of pain (and Psalm 42) is to ween us off the insecurity of hope in our circumstances and cleave us to our Sovereign Savior’s.

Don't be conformed to the pattern of this world. Do not fall into the trap by letting this world tell you who to be…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind; be the woman God created you to be. Jesus is our perfect Redeemer. - Jesus has the right to redeem: He became our “kinsman” by becoming a man. - Jesus has the resources to redeem: He lived a perfect life and died in our place. - Jesus has the resolve to redeem: He loves us and was willing to pay the price for His glory.

Spend less time looking and MUCH more time becoming. Instead of looking for someone to “complete you”, look to complete the mission that God created you for.

Are you grateful or entitled? You cannot simultaneously look up at what Christ did for you on the cross and look down on your current situation.

We work FROM favor, not FOR favor.

Sometimes we suffer pain because of us, sometimes because of the enemy, but always under the sovereign hand of God…but God is always good. He always has a purpose and a promise.

A small amount of faith in an infinitely powerful God is infinitely more powerful than enormous faith in a powerless “god”.

Don’t waste your life. Don’t waste your time, your talents, your treasure...but use all the treasures that God has given you to treasure Christ before all things.

Have you been flirting with Jesus on your own terms? Are you ready to follow Jesus on His terms?

God did not give you all that you have so you could have all you want, but so others could have all that they NEED.

Give glory to God; your joy depends on it. No one can give you what God has not and no one can keep you from what God has for you.

Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s not even thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more and more and more about the glorious nature of Jesus until we forget to even think of ourselves at all.

Prayer is about who you are praying to not just what and how you are praying. When we RIGHTLY see God for who He is, then we will rightly respond in desperate, persistent, humble prayer.

To be rich toward God is to GLORIFY GOD by leveraging your temporary RICHES for the building of God’s eternal Kingdom, not your temporary kingdom.

Forgiveness is the willful decision to cancel someone’s debt against you because at the cross Jesus canceled your debt.

It is the condition of the soil, not merely the delivery of the seed, that determines growth.

When Jesus says “follow me,” He isn’t offering a second chance at life. He is offering a NEW LIFE… HIS LIFE.

There is no celebration of the risen King without the crucifixion.

See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.

When Jesus is before all things, the RESCUED will stop at nothing to tell the world about the RESCUER. When we are in Christ His mission is our mission and His mission is: For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him ca stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11

Of all the parents in the entire world, God chose YOU to raise your kids. Are you raising God worshiping missionaries or culturally compliant citizens. Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children[a] of one's youth. Psalm 127

Your marriage is not about YOU. It’s all about declaring that Christ is BEFORE ALL THINGS. Therefore, in Christ: Wives, your job is to make your husband feel like the man. Husbands, your job is to make your wife feel like the most valuable thing in your world. Is Jesus before all things in your marriage? If not, what are you going to do about it?

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” - Colossians 3:23

A heart infected with the Gospel has 2 primary symptoms: Loving God and Loving people - “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” – Jesus (Matthew 22:37-40) Produce/fruit vs. manufacture…. If you want the “fruit” you gotta be “rooted” in Jesus. 4 "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me".- Jesus (John 15:4)

Kill the sin that is killing you by first loving the God that first loved you.

Religion says my activity earns a right standing before God. The gospel says Jesus' activity earns a relationship with God.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

At some point God used other people to reach us. Now God is using us to reach other people. The moment you are RESCUED you become a part of the RESCUE TEAM.
