Episode 116: Discomfort Is For You, Not Of You
Today we’re talking about feeling uncomfortable on purpose. Have you ever considered how discomfort is the price of growth or the idea that you cannot develop as a person while in your comfort zone? I bet you’ve heard this saying or versions of it many times. It is not a new concept – but it is still an undeniably true one. But why is it that discomfort is the price of growth? Many people say it but fail to explain why this is so. Today, I walk you through the idea that discomfort is nothing but an experience of the body. There is no substance to discomfort and it is not an ultimate reality, so why we are giving it so much power in our lives? There is no doubt that we have all experienced discomfort, even though it is illusory. It is helpful to recognize the appearance of discomfort while simultaneously separating that appearance from reality. As real and material as discomfort may seem, you must recognize it for the illusion it is. When you do this, you can work through the discomfort and ultimately grow. On the other hand, if you avoid discomfort and the pain that goes along with it, it is easy to return to buffering as a coping mechanism and you end up simply pushing the problem further along in the future. Conversely, when you confront the discomfort head-on, you end up transcending the problem and you will not have to return to it again later on. Episode 115: Commitment In Relationships
Hello and welcome to another episode, my brothers. Today I am talking about one of the most misunderstood facets of the human experience, that\'s right, today\'s episode is about relationships. Specifically commitment in relationships, and what it means to commit and stay committed. The reason we have so much difficulty with this area of our lives is our misalignment with the truth, something I want to aid you in correcting! In order to experience healthy relationships and bear the fruit of our commitments, we need a better connection to the inner world. We need to more closely align with the commitments we make to ourselves because in the end, a relationship is more of a commitment to the self than to another. When our commitment turns into expectations around stories we tell ourselves, we are headed for disaster, brothers. I am here to explain how you can relinquish fear and control and allow trust back into a meaningful connection. It is asking the impossible of someone when we make and take vows. This is not what commitment means! Actions and thoughts that lead to guilt and anger have no place in a healthy relationship, and this ties into the role of boundaries and what we are prepared to provide for a partner. Episode 114: What About Anger?
Welcome back to the show, brothers. Today I will be addressing an important part of anyone\'s emotional landscape, and especially for a man looking to elevate his alpha. Our topic for this episode is anger, a subject that I have received many questions about, and one that is vital in your journey towards accessing your true purpose. To set the stage, we look at the three tiers of emotions. These categories help us to see how our emotions impact us and how we interact with them. Now, anger can fall into any of these tiers, and that is part of what we explore in this episode. If we become the anger that rises in us, the results of it will be very different from allowing and processing angry feelings we experience in a healthy manner. An important lesson from this discussion is that there is nothing wrong with anger in itself. But we all have better and worse ways of dealing with anger and the more we are able to exercise healthy habits around it and the array of emotions we feel, the more we master our world. Anger may occupy a useful place in your internal selves, and there is nothing wrong with that per se. You are the one who needs to choose your emotions and how you relate to them. Your anger can be powerful and even necessary, but remember, brothers, it can only be as strong as the control you have over it! Episode 113: The Tools Part 3: The Matrix
In light of the election and many people’s strong emotions about the outcomes, today’s teaching comes at a great time. Whether you experience a sense of victory or loss – depending on who took the presidency – what you’ve got to understand that the outcome really has nothing to do with how you are feeling. The data is neutral; it’s all about how your thoughts are shaping the emotions you have. What I’m diving into today is the topic of creation. It is not about the created but the power of creation; the power is in the process itself. With people coming to me to lose weight, find a girlfriend, or quit drinking, it is clear that they are hoping for a change that happens from the external to the internal. But it doesn’t work that way and it perpetuates your suffering, my brother. You have to focus on the cause – not the effect. The cause is your belief, and this is what will ultimately determine the outcomes you get. The matrix is always a result, and it keeps you trapped in your beta condition. Remember that, in the realm of form and matter (the created), nothing is ever added or taken away. How the form and matter are presented is the only thing that changes. To us, it seems like ‘real’, tangible distinctions when, in fact, it is just a flux of energy. The created as we perceive it is thus temporary. Creation is the only aspect of importance. When you understand that the process of creation is in your hands, you step out of the matrix of the created and begin to change your life. Tuning in today, you will learn how you can tap into your identity as a creator and contributor. You no longer have to be satisfied with what comes your way – you can determine what you get by having the right thoughts. Episode 112: The Tools Part 2: The Alpha
Welcome back to the podcast my brothers, as we continue this important journey together! Today\'s episode is part two in our series on the tools of alignment and is all about what you need to get into touch with your Alpha and relinquish the control that the beta condition can exercise over your life! So what are we talking about here? The first part is about allowing the Alpha to determine your actions and teach the beta, in order to reach that all-important alignment. This comes with the power of knowing, and I really want to underline how this works and how we come to \'know something\'. As usual, this relates to getting away from fear and accessing that true Alpha state. This is a process episode and I will be trying to keep everything as concrete and actionable as possible for all of you! We even talk about the questions many of you might be asking around the possibility of reverse engineering this process from the results that you already know. Episode 111: The Tools Part 1: The Law
Today’s podcast is the first of three where we will be exploring some basic tools that you can use to help you see the truth of who you are and what you are capable of – which is exactly what you believe you are capable of. One thing we all need to understand is that the universe is governed by natural laws. For example, in the law of electricity, watts divided by amps equals volts, and volts times amps equal watts. There is also the universal law of cause and effect, and it is this law that governs the relationship between our thoughts and our lives. The law of cause and effect does not judge our thoughts. Like any law or system, it takes certain inputs and produces the appropriate outputs. Like a math equation, the law of cause and effect produces precisely the results that are appropriate to the force and frequency of the thoughts it receives as inputs. This law also creates a feedback loop, where the more we see how thoughts produced real events, the more we can believe that specific things will happen when we think specific thoughts. This law of cause and effect can be seen in action as it governs the results our thoughts produce, and today we go through some exercises that you can do to help you understand it better. These exercises are named the thought download and the unintentional model of alignments. Using them, we study how neutral stimuli that we receive through our five senses are interpreted by our thoughts, thereby producing feelings that drive action. Tune in to learn how to use these exercises to rewire your responses so that you can produce the actions required to change your life forever.

Episode 110: The Alpha State: Unconditional Love
To expand on the ideas of indomitable self-confidence that we explored in the last episode, I will be explaining the importance of unconditional love and how it fits into the model of alignment. The alpha state we are reaching for is within your grasp and this is just another piece of the puzzle for you to get closer to your goals. That version of yourself that you know you want to attain, the one with confidence and stability, honesty and power, contains, without a doubt, elements of unconditional love. This love can be directed at oneself, but importantly as you will hear, is also a means to deal with other people in our lives. When we accept the parts that make up the model of alignment, and we begin to see that none of us are our reactions or emotions, our mistakes, and successes, then it becomes that much easier to approach external forces and particularly people, with unconditional love and understanding. In this way we are non-judgmental and it is just another element of cognitive mastery. Episode 109: The Alpha State: Indomitable Self-Confidence
We are entering into new territory on the podcast today, breaking down indomitable self-confidence! By taking control of the three pillars I lay out in this episode, you can access never-before-seen realms of power and agency in your life. Indomitable self-confidence leads to our next topic to be discussed, which is unconditional love, to be explored further as we go deeper into the subject. Stay tuned for that! The first pillar of indomitable self-confidence lies in our cognition. This is the story we tell ourselves and how our thoughts interact with the raw data of the world around us. As soon as we start being able to separate our thoughts from the inputs we receive and make a choice around how we think about things, we begin to tap into unlimited potential. Our feelings make up the second pillar, brothers. I want you to understand that self-confidence relates to the way we handle our emotions and indomitable self-confidence means the strength to handle any emotions that arise in us. It\'s okay to feel sad or angry or joyous, but when you face the array of emotions you experience with the knowledge that it is under your control, those emotions lose their ability to run your life. The final pillar of this idea of indomitable self-confidence is around your actions. I have spoken about actions many times before and today is no different, it is how you show up, set boundaries, and follow through on your intentions. By standing strong in these three pillars we access courage we may not have known we had!

Episode 108: Show Me The Money Part 3: The Business
Following on from the first two parts of this series on money, today I will be unpacking what we can call \'the business\'. This is the part that is predominantly feelings and actions, and fits into the material circumstance and thoughts that we discussed in the previous episodes. These ideas are mainly geared towards those of you with your own business and projects — there is plenty of value here for everyone, but that is the focus of the \'business\' we talking about. To start off, brothers, we will be getting into the removal of limiting beliefs around your work and the value you have to offer. What matters here is the belief and the result, how you do it is just the equals sign, but what you think about it and manifest as a result, are what really count. Your business is a simple equation: Your offer, minus the number of nos you receive, will give you the business you do! It sounds obvious, but do not be fooled! This is the numbers game of business and it is no different from dating or any other time you may make an offer and wait for a response. What I want you to understand here is that in order to have a business and to make progress, you have to be making the offer. We get into what you are offering and who you are offering it to, and important aspects of your success such the knowledge of your value. There are so many great ideas for you here; why the nos you will inevitably receive have nothing to do with you, why quitting is the only way to really fail, how to go about accepting change and success, and how to get into an abundant mind frame around money. EP 107: Show Me The Money Part 2: The Budget
Guys, today we get into part 2 of the Show Me The Money series, and it’s all about budget. Now, before you switch to another episode, this one is not the normal budget talk – it will actually change how you view money. The first thing you’ve got to do is establish what your beliefs about money are and what your beta condition is telling you about it. You may be surprised to learn what kind of lies you believe. Then you want to look at the numbers and data, and this is where many people stop paying attention. We only want to look at money in terms of income, but it is vital to look at it in three ways: what are you creating, what is your spending, and what is your having (the total in your account). Then you are going to track your money and be intentional about it. What you’ll learn from this episode is that it is your belief about money, not your actions, that determine your money situation. Even if you do all the right things, if your thoughts are still in the beta condition, you will not see better results. You should look at your finances first from two main positions: responsibilities and abundance. The first is about your basic living expenses, such as food, mortgage, rent, and insurance, which makes up 90%. The abundance position involves giving a portion of your money (10%) intentionally to other people, and you will hear how this opens you up to receive in return! Later on, you can add other positions such as growth, experience, freedom, reward, and fun. When you decide only to experience joy when it comes to money, it makes paying for your groceries and home a delight, because you see how these things serve you. EP 106: Show Me The Money
Today I respond to a common question asked by students and listeners, and it is all about money. The first thing you’ve got to understand is that money is a circumstance and it is completely neutral. Money doesn’t affect your feelings or determine your character or value: It is how you think about money that can change your experience of these things. You have to power to choose how you see and what you believe about money, and this will determine the results you have with it. Many of the common beliefs we have about money are untrue and just perpetuate the negative outcomes we keep getting. But having positive thoughts about money are not enough – thoughts have to be accompanied by actions. Guys, you can’t sit on a beach somewhere are think yourself into wealth; you need to do the work and create the right vibrations for everything to fall into place. That’s what it means to say that faith without work is dead. I was also perpetually broke and stuck in debt for a long time, but when I changed my beliefs about money, things in my physical world started changing. You’ll hear all about it today. Remember that actions are like the equal sign in mathematics. Your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs go on the left side of the equation, the actions in the middle, and on the right is the results you get. So, when the right beliefs, feelings, and thoughts and combined with actions, you get the results you want. My brothers, don’t wait for a second longer. EP 105: The Universal Truth 2.0
Today we are revisiting the concept of the universal truth and building out our understanding of it, but be prepared that what you are going to hear is not common sense. We are conditioned to fear things, and this negatively impacts our lives because it results in us having victim mentalities and, turns out, a host of other problems. In this episode, I explain the universal truth of how life works, and it comes down to understanding that all circumstances are neutral and that it is we who ascribe meaning to them. We give meaning to situations by having thoughts about them; thoughts that come from our subjectivity. Our thoughts impact our body and emotions, which then dictate our behavior and actions, in turn determining the results we get! What then happens is that the results always somehow reinforce our beliefs, setting the process in motion again. What you have to understand is that the law of mind and belief is completely neutral. It acts according to the objective law and your subjective will, desire, and choice. The law, therefore, works according to your decisions and is a natural power that you can leverage for your benefit. But if this is true, why don’t we all have massive wealth and optimum health or the relationships we want? Because of the fear we have been conditioned into and our limiting beliefs. Even if you have all the right thoughts, if you fail to cultivate the beliefs, your aspirations will not come to fruition. Join me for discussions on all of this, and more!

EP 104 What Remains?
Today we are talking about what comes after you regain control of your habits and break the cycle of unconscious actions and buffering. We have spent a lot of time in previous episodes on the subject of buffering and how important it is to live with intention rather than through fearful and avoidant reaction. But when we are able to get a hold of our choices and live more consciously, what remains? The first thing you may notice is more time and energy available to you. This should come as no surprise, as cutting out time-consuming and draining activities would clearly lead to an increase in those valuable commodities. Another, probably less attractive, the result will be discomfort. Again, this is foreseeable, as our buffering habits are ways to avoid and protect ourselves from certain types of discomfort in our lives. If we are able to accept this reality and grow strong in that discomfort, which is an essential part of being alive, it is then that we are able to step into our purpose. It is then that we are able to truly exist and to begin to create with our true selves. This need to create is central to what it means to be human, and the connection between our thoughts and our creative actions is what makes us what we are. EP #103: How to Stop Buffering
As we enter into a new phase for the Alpha Male Coach, it is a great time to go back to the beginning and start with the basics once again. A huge part of elevating your alpha is about removing the need to buffer, in that unconscious and instinctual way that we condition ourselves to. So today we are getting into the process of retraining the brain, liberating ourselves from reliance on buffers and taking control of our actions! Whatever your buffer may be, from sugar and alcohol to video games and pornography, every time we unconsciously turn to that behavior as a form of escape we are training the mind to rely on that action. The buffer is not the action but rather the relationship your brain has with the action, and this is what we want to change. In today\'s episode, we break down three different methods for regaining control from your animal brain and putting the power in your prefrontal cortex, thus allowing your best, elevated self to make decisions. There is the \'buffer plan\', the \'exception plan\', and the \'upcoming event plan\'; and all three frameworks can help you on this journey, brothers, so make sure to tune in and elevate your alpha!

Ep #102: The Motivational Triad
What is it that allows some guys to achieve their goals and perform optimally while others keep falling short of their aspirations? Today we talk again about buffering and how it prevents you from becoming the man you want to be. We are all inclined to buffer but we do it in different ways – some of which you may not even be consciously aware of. While you don’t have to stop buffering to improve, you will not be able to achieve your alpha state without removing the barrier of buffering. In this episode, I walk you through the program that the beta system is built on and that keeps men trapped in their primordial, survival-oriented mode of existence. The system is called the motivational triad, and while it was meant to keep the body alive, it now perpetuates the beta condition in the 21st century when we no longer need to be running away from wild animals. The thee corners of the motivation triad are seeking pleasure, avoiding pain, and efficiency. When something in the environment elicits pleasure or pain, it signals to the brain to either repeat or avoid the activity. If we didn’t have those triggers, we wouldn’t have sex or eat food, which would cause our species to become extinct. And this is where buffering comes in: certain activities trigger your pleasure center and make you repeat the behavior, and this is detrimental to your journey of becoming an irresistible man of confidence. The good news is that we can leverage the motivational triad to reprogram our brains. By flipping the motivational triad on its head, you can rewire your brain and regain control over your thoughts and behaviors, becoming the alpha male you know you can be. We have gone over buffering quite a bit in many of the previous episodes. Today we are going to dive a little deeper into why this is so beneficial. We all have our methods of \"coping\" with emotions we don\'t want to experience, but does this really help us process the emotion? If you do not process the emotion, you will never actually move past it. Kevin talks about why we buffer, and how we can move past it.

Today we are going to talk about how to use direct experience, and how to use this concept to move from an unintentional belief system that doesn\'t serve you, to a more intentional/deliberate belief that you choose. We mistake our stories about circumstances, for the actual facts of the circumstance. In reality, we only really know our own thoughts about the circumstance. We will go over how to understand a direct experience in neutrality, and how to move into a positive thought to change the way we feel about our past.

In July we are going to be talking about the past. Your past only exists in your mind, all you have is the now. When we relate to the present from the past, we are creating a moment based on who we were. Your past is over, and doesn\'t effect you. The current thoughts you think about your past do effect you. If you feel that your past causes you pain today, know that it\'s only your thoughts about your past that is causing the pain. Your thoughts are optional, you can tell the story about your past in a light that describes you today.

Ep#94 What Does Confidence Feel Like?
In this last podcast of the indomitable self-confident month, we will be talking in detail about fear. Do confident people feel fear? When you feel courage, you feel fear. Consistently applying courage leads to more confidence. Fear is necessary to feel in able to understand the feeling of confidence. There is a healthy relationship you can have with fear, today we will be discussing how you can use this to your advantage instead of buffering.

We will be finishing indomitable self-confidence month with looking at the A line in the model this week, and then the F line next week. To illustrate this, we will be making a comparison of Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Steve Rogers (Captain America.). This episode we will be going over the thoughts that each of these alpha males are having to display indomitable confidence. They both display confidence, and have thoughts that create their actions, but are actually thinking very different thoughts. Find out which one resonates with you!

Last week we covered Indomitable Self-Confidence, this week we will be covering the opposite idea. If we allow our fear of rejection to be our dominant thought, we will never be able to understand what confidence feels like. Building confidence is actually about being able to put yourself out there for all to judge, and allowing yourself to feel the emotions that come with it. Do you process them, or run away from them? We are going to discuss mindset and some exercises you can do to move away from your fear of rejection.

It\'s June, and we have a big month ahead! We are diving right into indomitable self-confidence. Self-doubt is innate, and many of us are not actively trying to build confidence. What is it about self-confidence that makes it such a sought after feeling? We want to be liked by other people, we want to have more friends, be attractive to women etc. You can\'t teach people how to feel about you, people think the way they think, that is the universal truth. The only move you can make to influence people to like you, is to like yourself!

Do you lose control of your emotions when someone disagrees with you, or do you listen calmly? In this episode Kevin goes over the difference in beta and alpha disagreements. We can have a difference in opinion, viewpoints and everything without having conflict. We are living in a time where there is more disagreement than ever, but we as alphas can learn to navigate around this to get the result we want to achieve.

We are entering the month of May and the theme is: relationships. The human condition is the relationship we have with ourselves (know thyself.) The only 2 things we actually control directly are our thoughts and emotions, everything else comes indirectly. Trying to control everything else is futile. In this episode we talk about starting to let go of some of the control that we are trying to have over others.

Ep#85 Boredom
Today we\'re going to talk about boredom: what it is, and whether it is or isn\'t an actual problem, and how you can handle it. Is boredom a thought, circumstance, or feeling? Its only your thoughts that make something boring, or not boring to you. As long as you have a human mind, you don\'t ever have to be bored. One thing to also remember is that there\'s nothing wrong with being bored. On the other side of boredom is creativity.

Ep#84 The Abundant Truth
In the final part of this week\'s 3 part series, we will be talking about the Abundant Truth. This is the next 20% of cognitive mastery and emotional ownership and it combines with the last 2 lessons. We want to see this with no duality, no judgement, positive/negative etc. Our beta condition is viewing the world from where we are, instead of from what is. That\'s where judgement comes in, and we think that our beliefs are facts. First we have to know that we are having these beliefs. When we separate ourselves from duality, so we can see the abundance of what is neutral. When we see that, we can create anything!

In part 2 we are going to be talking about the emotional truth. Human beings are emotional junkies, our actions always come through our emotions. We think we are after a result, but we are after the feeling we think it will give us. We run from, and run TO emotion. Everything in life is an emotional experience, good or bad. You have control over the quality of your life.

Today will be the Archipelago truth, Wednesday the Emotional Truth, and Friday will be Abundant Truth. In today\'s episode we are going to use the archipelago analogy to understand a truth about ourselves. The island is your potential, and there are 2 types of people: one who sit and wait on shore, and those who explore the island. Which one are you? There is no wrong or right choice.

Ep#81 Purpose - Worthiness
In part 3 of 3 this week we are discussing worthiness as it pertains to your purpose. We want to make the shift from selling our value through our time (to others), to using our time to create value for ourselves. When we are giving our time to others, and we are not in a state of passion, we often end up buffering after our job is over. Now is the time to work on ourselves, FOR ourselves. Stop trying to arrive to the place where you are \"good enough\", there\'s nothing you can\'t be/do/have that will make you feel more complete! We are already good enough, no one\'s life is more important than ours.

Ep#80 Purpose - Value
In part 2 of this week\'s 3 part series, we\'re going to be talking about Value. Understanding value is a big reason why this course was created. A lot of people have the idea that their purpose was created by them, that it is something they have to be told or discover. Purpose is defined by the reason that something exists, our brain searches for people who give us these examples. The truth of it is, we DECIDE what our purpose is! And one way we can start to decide is to figure out what value we want to add to the world.

In the final part of the Training for Chaos series we are going to be talking about time. This is the best time to talk about what our brains are trying to tell us about time! Humans are a very tough species, and we are going to get through this. It\'s not the first virus we\'ve been through, and it won\'t be the last. Because we are all at home, we have more time than ever to work on our thoughts. What thoughts do we want to focus on at a time like this so that we can still produce value? When we are all going back to work, what can we do to add more value than we did before?

In part 2 of this 3 part series, we will be discussing money and scarcity in the economy. Many have slipped into a scarcity mindset in these trying times. Abundance mentality isn\'t about what\'s happening externally, it ALWAYS comes from the internal dialogue we have with ourselves. There are many examples in life where opportunity was created in times of lack. None of the people who capitalized on this could create opportunities if their thoughts were focused on fear, the economy, or scarcity. Ep #74: Thinking vs. Believing
Continuing with beliefs this week, we\'re discussing how thoughts turn into beliefs. We use the brain to practice thoughts, in order to turn them into beliefs. We then use our belief to drive our actions, which will then reinforce the belief that gives us an emotion. In this episode we learn a technique called \"ladder thoughts\" and why it works better than positive affirmations. An overly positive affirmation is often rejected by the brain. Thinking a thought that\'s further than where you are, but close enough to your current thought will help transition your thinking into more positive thoughts.

Continuing the belief series, we look at the benefits of believing in the model. The model reveals what our beliefs are, no matter how the beliefs affect us. We look at the idea \"thought-swapping\" and how it leads to different feelings, actions, and results. Our life doesn\'t happen to us, our thoughts happen to us. This thought-model is based on an international best-selling book, yet it is clear as day that there are flaws with the thinking it’s based on it. While this is not a book review, we look at the ways that this type of thinking leaves you stuck in the beta condition. As the love language theory places our ability to feel the love in the hands of someone else, it immediately takes out of the alpha state. It not only abdicates emotional power, but it also does not fundamentally acknowledge that love comes from what we think, not someone else’s actions.
