This black suit is definitely a cool look for Boba. I hope we get to see some version of this in the Book of Boba Fett show, maybe to disguise himself or to be more stealthy. Today, let's begin a new comic series in canon, from the beginning of the run, Star Wars War of the Bounty Hunters PRELUDE. Boba is delivering Han Solo to Jabba, however Lucasfilm has created some stories that don't lead to the easiest delivery for Boba. Han Solo's carbonite freezing cell was breaking down, so Boba pulled over on Nar Shadaa and saw a friend to help him out. In order for his friend to help, he needed to pay...however Boba didn't have the payment...so...he needed to do a quest for Ragon. With The Book of Boba Fett and all the talk of Jabba, I think it's fitting we examine just how he became the leader of the Hutts in legends. There's tons of info on the crimelord, and I think it's great for us to know so we can compare it to what Boba Fett might do in the season as he makes his way up the crime ladder to become...THE BOSS. In the Book of Boba Fett, we see some thugs stealing water from people who have the same looking hut as Luke Skywalker's uncle Owen and Aunt Beru (it's not their house). These thugs are from Jabba's gang and they're taking a water tax. I think we'll see them in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Kenobi fought them to protect Luke. Learn more about your ad choices. What an episode, for me this was an 8 out of 10 because it showed the progression of where boba has been this whole time and made you want to enter the healing chamber because it gave us flashbacks. So, before we beigin, for newcomers this takes place right after Mando season 2. IF you haven’t seen the post credits scene from Mando season 2 finale, go do that and things will make more sense. The flashbacks take place during Return of the Jedi, which came out in 1983, this was the one where luke fights Vader and gets shocked by the emperor. As we open we see boba in a healing chamber on a batch. He gets flashbacks first of Kamino and slave 1 I believe from episode 2 before he fought obi-wan, then to when he was a little boy holding the head of his father in the genosian arena after the Jedi fought the separatists with the help of the clones in their phase 1 armor. Then, finally, we see a flashback of what happened to boba after he fell into the sarlaac pit in return of the Jedi. He was being digested, when he wakes up and sees where he is. The thing with sarlaacs is they digest their prey over 1000 years, so while the person may be dead, the armor takes longer to digest, as the stomach acid eats away at it. That’s why when he looks around he sees the corpse of stormtrooper, dead for probably a long time, partially digested armor as we can see with the acid burns. Now Boba’s armor won’t be as digested as easily because he’s wearing beskar iron, which is harder to melt than plastoid which is what stormtrooper arbor is made of. As he takes the oxygen cord from the lifeless trooper, who had unluckily fallen into the sarlacc god knows when, he uses it to breathe as there isn’t any oxygen left in his own suit. Punching through he blasts the sarlaaccs innards with his flamethrower and gets out on his own terms. Now in legends, Dengar, another bounty hunter which we see in episode 5, saves Boba. However now they’ve rewritten it in canon that he makes it out on his own. And you know what, I’m good with this, I think it just makes Boba more badass. As he’s left there until nightfall, the Jawas come to strip him of his suit, when he wakes up and they knock him out with the butt of their blaster rifle. I thought this was hilarious, that such funny little creatures take out Boba, and it would only happen in this state that he’s in. This lines up with Cobb Vanth’s story in the mandalorian season 2 with how he got the suit from the Jawas in the sand crawler. So now backstories are being visually explained. Boba is left for dead on the sands of Tatooine, only to be rescued by the sand people, the tusken raiders tie him up, awaken him with their equivalent of smelling salts or ammonia, and make him walk back to camp. We’ve seen this type of thing where they tie a prisoner by the hands and pull them while on horseback, only now it’s Tuskens on Banthas. Very Wild West vibes, very barbaric and you’d expect nothing less from the Tuskens. As he gets beat up by youngling tuskens, Boba wakes up again and is tied by the fireplace when he tries to work with the Rodian tied up next to him, who gives him away. and needs to make a break for it, he does so by pretending to break his ropes as the Mastiff sits watch. This was the dog equivalent to the Tuskens. Very rabid beats of Tatooine, however they were trained to be loyal to the Tuskens. Boba uses his smarts to lure the beast and knocks it out, using it’s fangs to cut his rope. This is all key stuff, Boba is very intelligent, he’s not just a good killer. As he’s chased into the desert, he has a fight with the kylo ren knights of red looking tusken who is ordered by the leader to fight Boba. Boba is tired and out played, losing. This episode was awesome. I give it an 8/10 for explaining how he got out of the pit as well as what he's going through now, coupled with flashbacks. Learn more about your ad choices. One person you may have seen in the Boba Fett tv spot the other day was this character, she’s new to the Star Wars screen, however she’s been around for a long time in Star Wars legends. This is most likely Arden Lyn. She was first seen in the game Star Wars masters of Teras kasi. She was basically a dark jedi. She and her boyfriend Xendor were leaders of a split faction of the Jedi Order, known as the legions of Lettow. They were evil jedi essentially. Legions of Lettow eventually were destroyed in a war later on with the Jedi. Her synopsis can be seen here from the 1997 game guide book -  Arden was thousands of years old. She was reawakened by the emperor’s inquisitors, which back in the 90’s weren’t the inquisitors we know today. These were like henchmen that Palpatine had. So, now that the emperor is dead, and Vader is dead, what will Arden Lyn’s purpose be? She at this point for all we know is autonomous and is bound by no one. Teras Kasi was a martial art in Star Wars that focused on mastering ones body. It incorporated meditation and some jedi traits and abilities, however they weren’t jedi. That being said, Plo Koon and Darth maul were proficient in Teras Kasi. It allowed the user to make their body a weapon. Kind of like bruce lee’s one punch and beyond. Their punches could compete with blaster fire in terms of lethal ability. Arden could punch through body armour, which makes me think she could take out Boba if they got in close quarters. I think she’s going to be a big character in the book of Boba Fett, and I’m honesty super surprised they’d bring this forgotten legends character into canon, I’m really excited for it and I wonder if she’ll work with boba or against him. The NEW Boba Fett trailer is out! Here is my breakdown There are a few things in particular that I noticed. Boba seems to be healing. I think he's learning from the B'Omarr monks hidden beneath Jabba's palace. We first saw these beings in The Return of the Jedi before Luke Skywalker showed up. Now we see them again. They were ascended beings (contious-wise) and they were proficient in the art of regeneration. I believe Boba could use their help. The rest of the trailer shows bits and pieces from what looks like the first episode, as to not give away too much. Jedi Survivor will apparently have a download regardless of a digital copy or disc copy. This has upset some star wars fans as no one wants to buy a disc then have to download stuff on top of that. Yaddle was the apprentice to the human Jedi, Polvin Kut, in legends, almost three centuries prior to the events of A New Hope. Yaddle and her Master were on a mission to the Mid Rim world of Koba to free colonies from an Advozse warlord named Tulak, who also happened to have been the one who had murdered Yaddle’s Master’s family decades earlier. While there, the two Jedi were betrayed and ambushed by Tulak’s forces. In the midst of the battle, Yaddle’s Master gave into his hatred for Tulak and fell to the Dark Side, but he was decapitated before he could take his revenge on the warmonger. Masterless and outnumbered, Yaddle was captured alive, interrogated and subjected to numberous forms of torture. When it became clear that the young padawan would never break, Tulak moved on. He left his marshalls in charge of the planet and imprisoned Yaddle in an underground dark chamber, deep beneath the ground. There the green-skinned padawan remained alone in the dark for a century. In today's fan fiction created by A.I. I want to see what happens with Yoda had gone to fight Count Dooku and Palpatine instead of Yaddle in Tales of the Jedi. Let's look at both scenarios where Yoda wins and where he loses and how it impacts the galaxy, mainly...Anakin Skywalker the chosen one. Learn more about your ad choices. So this is an interesting question and one that was raised at the end of tales of the Jedi when dooku told Palpatine that Qui Gon could have been a powerful ally, had he not died. Sidious said, for you, and the conversation started to shift. So today, let’s discuss the possibilty of qui-gon actually turning away from the Jedi and joining dooku. Now before we begin we need understand qui-gon a little bit better for those new to the channel and to Star Wars. Qui-Gon was a maverick. He went his own way. He wasn’t on the Jedi council by choice, he knew the decisions he made and his overall view of the force was what made him unfit in the council’s eyes. For example, many fans would argue that qui-gon jinn’s use of the force to manipulate the chance cube with Watto was an act of the dark side, or rather, more in the middle of light and dark, grey some would call it. I always saw it as him balancing the odds since Watto’s chance cube was rigged by Watto himself. Qui-Gon was all about trusting the force, and believing balance was key. This is why he would have literally been the best father figure and teacher to Anakin, preventing his whole downfall. Now, here’s an excerpt from the book master and apprentice which is canon. It’s a quote from qui-gon jinn to rael aveross who was once Dooku’s apprentice that Qui-Gon grew close with. "I don't turn toward the light because it means someday I'll 'win' some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light." This line right here, helps us all see how qui-Gon really thought. That he didn’t use the light side because he felt elitist or like it’s the higher level thinking way of using the force. He uses it because it’s the light, and there is no other option. While I do think Qui-Gon was growing very weary of the Jedi as time passed, including their poor belief in his reveal of fighting the first Sith Lord in a millennia, I don’t think he would have joined the dark side. Now, that’s not to say he wouldn’t have joined Dooku. Quite the opposite, I believe he would have joined dooku, however I don’t think he would have turned to the dark side. He wouldn’t have turned his back on obi-wan or anakin, I felt he was so deep in the light side that he felt using the force for anything that can be seen as the greater good while killing and causing turmoil against many innocents, would not be the jedi way, and for that reason I feel he would distance himself from his former master. He would for sure agree with Dooku when it came to how the jedi had become corrupt with politics and the dealings of the senate, but actually making decisions and collaborations with a sith lord like darth sidious, and knowing dooku was now darth tyranus, he wouldn’t ever accept such a title or position for himself. I think Qui-Gon’s ability to gauge what is the true meanin of the force and what is just the Jedi council bein brainwashed by politics and the senate, is what made him such an interesting character. During the 4th episode of tales of the Jedi, titled Sith Lord, we arrive at the moment where Qui-Gon’s funeral is about to commence. During this funeral, we didn’t see Count Dooku at all. Which is weird, considering he was qui-gon's master and the closest to him. In this episode we finally get the proper canon answer as to why Dooku didn’t go and what I think would have happened, if he had. Yaddle tells Dooku that the funeral is to be held on Naboo soon. Dooku says he doubts he’ll be pleasant company and she asks if he holds the council accountable. Dooku turns to look at her and callously says Qui-Gon has become one with the force, it’s time to let him go. So, from this we know two things. Dooku blames the council for Qui-Gon’s death, but more importantly, him not being there says a lot about what would have happened. Dooku would have probably tried to fight all of them, mainly Mace Windu and Yoda. I don’t think it would have ended well for him against Yoda, but with him tapping into the dark side, I believe he would have stood a fair chance against all the other Jedi. In tales of the jedi we saw the climactic end to yaddles life at the hands of count Dooku. It seemed Yaddle was one of the only Jedi who wasn't disillusioned with politics and disbelief that the Sith had returned. When she followed Dooku to the works which was a secret meeting spot for sidious and his apprentices, she learned of the true nature of Dooku and Sidious intentions to destroy the Jedi. It was here that Dooku was ordered to kill yaddle as a final test of loyalty to Darth sidious, his new master. Before defending herself, she gave Dooku the option to join her and kill sidious. During the funeral in both revenge of the Sith and tales of the Jedi, we saw padme’s lifeless body being mourned in Theed city on Naboo with hundreds of thousands of people there paying their respects. In tales of the Jedi we learned that Ahsoka was actually in the crowd as well, and while this of course wasn’t in revenge of the Sith, so don’t bother trying to find her like Waldo in the crowd, as she didn’t exist at the time since George Lucas hadn’t released the clone wars series yet. She was seen in her gown holding the japor snippet that anakin had given her when he was 9 on the ship and we see her as pregnant. It is confirmed in the Revenge of the Sith novel, that Yoda orders her to have a pregnant bump during the ceremony because he doesn't want the empire to think the children are still alive, and for Palpatine and Vader to come looking for what they think is just one child.
