We start off on a tropical planet with crabs chasing wrecker, echo, and hunter, while tech and omega are in the ship keeping watch. She’s begun studying with Tech who’s got her learning all the imperial ships and their ins and outs. So it’s clear that each member of the bad batch will be coaching her on their respective specialties. Wrecker on strength training perhaps, tech on studious and electronics, hunter on hunting and combat, and Echo on…well..I guess a combination of everything. As the crew escape narrowly, Omega comes in clutch with her bow n arrow which is something the night sisters used in the clone wars, more info about this weapon will be revealed later on in the show I hope as it’s a cool one with a rich history. The crew get back to Cid and deliver the cargo, completing another job. As they enter the cantina, we see some arcade game with a phase 2 clone trooper helmet on it. I thought this was fun to see. They meet Cid’s new friend, Phee, a trustworthy pirate which doesn’t mean much. I wonder if we’ll get to see Hondo Ohnaka again now that we’re talking about pirates. Phee mentions the next mission and Cid explains further. Their next mission is to go to Serreno, particularly castle serreno, Count Dooku’s former home. Now some of you may wonder why Dooku lived in a castle, which doesn’t seem too humble for someone who used to be a jedi master. Dooku was royalty, and he was the count of serreno. When he gave up being a jedi, he resumed his official title of Count and went back to his castle. Cid explains the Empire is raiding his castle and taking all of his relics and riches. The Bad Batch are to take some of the treasure of Dooku’s castle which would be more money than all of their past jobs combined. Cid explains once the Empire makes their way over here to her, and shut her down, the boys won’t get anymore jobs, so this may be something worth risking, even though the empire is after them. as they head to Serreno, Echo mentions that hiding is not the way to live. Hunter explains that they’re living like this for Omega’s safety, and Echo blames everything on Omega, saying they have their own lives too. Which is true, but at the end of the day, Hunter is the leader of the crew, and he calls the shots. Omega is like a daguther to him at this point, so he’s not going to abandon her. Omega hears this and gets sad. Landing on Serreno, They notice Serreno is quite destroyed, and it’s because the Empire did the same thing here that they did on Kamino, destroy it. The Clones are already moving a ton of the cargo with imperial escort ships, this only happens when something of immense value is being transported that requires that level of security. The crew break into one of the containers and start to rummage through, as they find jewels and treasure. The boys say Dooku took all this from the worlds he conquered through his corruption, when Omega says isnt that what we’re doing. Which is true, from a certain point of view, however, another good point is made in response where she’s told it depends what they do with the treasure that defines their level of corruption or intent. As the Clones eventually discover a heist is happening, Omega, Echo, and Tech get separated from Wrecker and Hunter, as they the 3 are trapped in the container which is about to leave orbit. When Wrecker and Hunter try to catch a ride on it, they realize it’s a bad idea and jump off, landing them at the top of Dooku’s palace, getting them into his head quarters. This is very same HQ that we saw plenty of times in the Clone Wars where Dooku handled many of his affairs, including when he got that gnarly curse put on him by the night sister mother talzin herself. Omega Tech and Echo make their way through the ship, and one thing you’ll notice is that they put their blasters into stun only, whereas the clones executing order 66 are shooting to terminate. The Bad Batch finale is here. 16 weeks of episodes flew by and we were left with an ending that was heartfelt and happy...except nothing too exciting happened to keep us on the edge of our seats for season 2. I love this show, but tonight's finale was weak in my opinion. We left the season the same way we entered it, with Crosshair and Hunter making a decision and splitting up. Nala Se is tasked to make clones and work on experiments for the empire, most likely Snoke, Palpatine's body double, and more experiments with Grogu, connecting into The Mandalorian, most likely in some way. In The Bad Batch episode 15, we get such a huge cliffhanger. Kamino! It's gone!! Will Hunter and Crosshair make it out of there with the rest of the Bad Batch? Will they get captured by the Empire? In The Bad Batch Episode 14, we got to see Gregor, finally, and we learned that he really wasn't too down with what the Empire has going on. After he got blown up in Season 5 of The Clone Wars, we haven't seen or heard from him, until now (of course in Rebels but I mean before he gets old). Gregor doesn't seem to be as aggressive or dogmatic as the other Clones, and Clone Commandos. Why? Did he execute Order 66? What happened to his chip? Let's talk about it. The Bad Batch episode 14 finally put us back on track with the story and revealed to us Gregor's arc. We got to see the start of the stormtroopers as well as Scorch from Republic Commando! In the Bad Batch episode 12, we got to see a moment in history for Star Wars. A Clone stood up to his brothers and successfully turned them from order 66. He helped them understand what they were doing was wrong, and that the empire is wrong. Ryloth was a planet they were fighting for against the separatists, and now all of a sudden they're fighting against those they swore to protect. Some of the Clone Troopers dropped their blasters and joined their captain, while others remained loyal to the Empire. Why? The Bad Batch Episode 11 was decent, however for only having so few episodes left, I'm excited to follow the story of the Bad Batch whereas tonight's episode felt more like following Hera and her parents around. It was nice seeing them and Omega meeting Hera, but I'd really like to focus on the bad batch's point of view of things going forwards. Regardless, it was a nice episode. What did you think? The 10th episode of The Bad Batch showed us the commonalities between Separatists from The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch as they were sent to Raxus to save the senator. Meanwhile, Omega portrays her advanced strategic abilities in a game of Dejarik with Cid. Now that the debt is paid off, The Bad Batch can finally leave Pantora and Cid's cantina. In the Bad Batch episode 9 we finally learn that Omega is Boba Fett's twin sister. A direct clone of Jango Fett. Her only mutation as per the 5 mutated clones in the show, is that she was born as a female. I believe she has other abilities as well, which I assume we'll learn about soon enough. With Cad Bane in The Bad Batch Episode 8's reveal, I was not expecting his return at all! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Cad Bane's character in The Clone Wars is one that was supposed to end with a big duel with Boba Fett. That arc was never released despite being recorded. Could we get the long awaited battle in The Bad Batch? I'd love to see Boba Fett dawn the green Jango Fett armor and take on the notorious Bane. Bane against an enhanced clone like Hunter proved to us how skilled he is, but to see him against Jango's creation, Boba, will be a sight to be seen for sure. This episode was absolutely amazing. Cad Bane's return was something I didn't think I'd see so soon in the Bad Batch, if at all this season. It seems like the Bad Batch is really speeding up episodes, where last week we saw Rex return on Bracca as Wrecker executed Order 66, and this week we get the return of Cad Bane. Does this mean we could get the never before seen Boba Fett vs Cad Bane? That's how Boba got his dent in his helmet, from Cad Bane, so it would be pretty cool to see this happen...hopefully though, they keep Cad Bane alive for live action in The Mandalorian, that would be cool to see him, but it wouldn't align with the story (unless they change it). Crosshair was a big one in this episode, as well. Now that he's injured, will he be able to snipe? Will the Empire toss him away because of his inability to perform? Could this be the start of the Kamino uprising against the Kaminoans? Could Crosshair lead a rebellion with his Clone Trooper brothers? Hunter got bested by Cad Bane, that standoff was beautiful. It goes to show that even up against an enhanced clone, we see Cad Bane is still superior. This show is becoming even more intense and epic than I thought, with the incorporation of all these Clone Wars characters, it makes me more and more excited for each consecutive episode. This also means that the Kaminoans have hired bounty hunters like Fennec Shand and Cad Bane to retrieve Omega for their Phase 3 Clone Trooper in order to keep their business with the empire. I wonder if they'll give Omega the Grogu treatment like Moff Gideon wanted to do in The Mandalorian...you know...until Luke Skywalker showed up to fight the Dark Troopers and save the day. the Bad Batch episode 7 was AMAZING!!! This one felt like old Clone Wars with a better animation style. I loved Rex returning, it was such a nice touch. Seeing Wrecker go through Order 66 was terrifying, and showed us he is the most lethal Clone Trooper and member of The Bad Batch. Seeing Bracca was interesting, as this could lead into some tie in for Cal Kestis from Jedi Fallen Order. I think the Scrap yard guild will notify the empire which will lead to Crosshair hunting the Bad Batch down, possibly with Vader coming in the picture at the end (I think that would be epic). The Bad Batch Episode 6 is here and it came with some unexpected guests and happenings. I feel like Wrecker will eventually turn completely to the mercy of the inhibitor chip, falling in line with Order 66 protocols and joining the other Clone Troopers, possibly joining forces with Crosshair and the Empire. This is what could lead Hunter, Echo, Tech and Omega to find Rex and ask him how to save their brothers. This could be awesome because we'll finally, maybe, see just how Gregor and Wolffe got their inhibitor chips removed too, as we saw in Rebels after The Clone Wars. Do you think we'll see the struggle between Anakin Skywalker as he is turning more and more into Darth Vader by the day? I hope we'll see a glimpse of him, or at least come to know of him soon in the show. Mind you, the galaxy doesn't know of Vader, yet, as per the comics. I wonder when we'll see the transition between Clones and Storm Troopers, if at all this season. Let me know what you thought of the Martez sisters and how they will play into the show going forward (I think they'll have a more recurring role from the looks of it). The Bad Batch Episode 5 is here, so let's break it down. We learned of a new Jedi accomplice named Sid from before Order 66. We met the Rancor that Luke Skywalker fights in Return of the Jedi. We saw some easter eggs of Boba Fett's/Mandalorian helmet/Clone Trooper helmets in Sid's office. We witnessed another display of Omega using what I think is the force (when she knew who Sid was). In today's 4th Bad Batch episode, we enter the planet of Pantora where Tech scrambles the wanted signal for their ship. Here, we meet Fennec Shand, the assassin from The Mandalorian season 1, and later 2, who teamed up with Boba Fett. In tonight's episode we learned that Fennec Shand is hired by someone (I think Kamino or Boba/Kamino) to find Omega as she is going to facilitate in the third phase of Clone Troopers. The episode had a nice reminiscent scene of Attack of the Clones where Anakin and Obi-Wan chased Zam Wessell through Coruscant. How did you find the episode? Did you like it? In The Bad Batch episode 3, Nala Se tells Lama Su that Jango Fett's DNA is not very usable anymore, pushing them more and more to advance to phase 3 Clone Troopers. Why is Jango's DNA so important to begin with? In The Bad Batch, we now know we're going to get phase 3 Clones Troopers as a last ditch effort from the Kaminoans to stay in business with Palpatine's empire. From episode 3, I think this 3rd phase of Clone could be a mutated one, like Omega. In Star Wars The Bad Batch episode 3, we see another example of how Tarkin and the Kaminoans are increasing the inhibitor chip's power on Crosshair's mind. I believe this clearly shows that if the chip can be increased, it was also be decreased. The only problem is, how can you apply it to everyone? Is there a fail safe order? A switch? In Episode 2 of The Bad Batch, did you notice this quick scene with Omega? When she's super sad and takes off her head pendant from Nala Se? This scene shows me that she is sad she's lost the only mother figure she's ever had, and the only home she's ever known. Does she regret the decision? Is she just going through a rough time after almost being eaten by the Nexu? Could she try to go back to Kamino to save Nala Se? Will the Bad Batch try to reverse Order 66 in their brothers? The Bad Batch Episode 2 breakdown is here! The episode was slower paced compared to the first episode's 70 minute action packed pilot. I felt that this episode really helped us understand the massive change the galaxy is going under in regards to new laws and rule of the galactic empire under Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. The episode also helped us to understand where Cut has been during Order 66 and how he's been doing with his family. We know that Rex was just here a day ago (with Ahsoka?) and that everyone is now aware of the chips implanted in the heads of the Clone Troopers to make them execute Order 66 against the Jedi. The episode moved to build the connection between Hunter and Omega, like Father and Daugther, while building upon the other characters abilities slightly. The Bad Batch episode 1 has officially begun! The 75 minute episode gave us tons of new material to learn about Order 66 in Star Wars and how it impacted the Clones in particular. This show is essentially a continuation of The Clone Wars, and I am pretty excited to see where it goes. The start of the show with Kanan and Depa had me on the edge of my seat, but once he went away, it was a bit slower for me. I'm looking forward to seeing where it'll go in episode 2, maybe we'll meet up with Rex and Ahsoka? Will we see Vader and Palpatine? I like how it shows where we are at certain moments during the episode, relative to Revenge of the Sith. in the book The Secrets of the Jedi, we get to learn Luke's point of view of Anakin's return after being Darth Vader for so many years. It's interesting as we dive into Luke's thoughts of rushing to fight Vader during Empire Strikes Back, and then to his ultimate sacrifice at the end of Return of the Jedi where Anakin came back to save his son. Even after all the things Anakin Skywalker did during Order 66, killing Obi-Wan Kenobi, and betraying all the Jedi once he became a Sith Lord, he was still able to be redeemed by Luke, who as George Lucas always said, was merely the catalyst to help Anakin come back and fulfill the prophecy as the chosen one. In the canon book Secrets of the Jedi by Insight Editions, we get the thoughts and point of view of Luke Skywalker on almost every character. Today's episode will discuss and explain his thoughts on Kanan Jarrus and his Jedi Master, Depa Bilaba, who was Mace Windu's apprentice. She also had a seat on the Jedi Council, unlike Qui-Gon Jinn. I always found it interesting how Anakin had a seat but wasn't a Jedi Master, yet Qui-Gon didn't have a seat, yet was a Jedi Master. Kind of shows you how they were a perfect fit for one another if they came together as Master and Apprentice, Father and Son so to speak. This view of Luke Skywalker shows Kanan's journey through Order 66 and his memoirs during his escape.
