BIG EPISODE! The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 4 dove into the lore of Star Wars. The theories are true! Baby Yoda, The Child is being used for his force sensitivity, to transfer that to another body. While all tests haven't succeeded, Moff Gideon and Dr. Pershing are committed to making it happen. This is interesting as I think they could even search Luke Skywalker for his force sensitivity and high midichlorian count. I was happy to hear about the M-Count which we haven't heard of since Qui-Gon Jinn mentioned them in The Phantom Menace when he tested Anakin and sent the sample to Obi-Wan Kenobi. This episode took a lot of elements from Jedi Knight II which was interesting to see. Cloning force sensitives is a hard feat, something that Palpatine and Dooku could not do with General Grievous. Something Vader couldn't do with Galen Marek in The Force Unleashed II. It seems, though, that Snoke was created via this process, and maybe his force sensitivity was granted from The Child, which feels weird. Or perhaps, it's from someone else...Luke? Ahsoka? Jango Fett, the man who created Boba Fett and the rest of the Clones. Jango has a deep connection to Death Watch, not as a member, but as a rival. Jango, in the Clone Wars wasn't recognized as a true Mandalorian, at least, not that Almec knew of, so it leads me to wonder if that will be developed by Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 2. Not only was Jango Fett the template for the Clones, hired by Count Dooku, but he was also the best Bounty Hunter in the galaxy, known to have defeated many Jedi. The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 3 was my favourite episode yet. Spoilers!! Bringing in Bo Katan into this episode was incredible. Katee Sackhoff did an outstanding job as playing Bo Katan (who she voices in The Clone Wars and Rebels). I can't wait to see the next episode and hopefully Ahsoka Tano played by Rosario Dawson! There were tons of important things in this episode that I hope to breakdown with you. Something super important to mention is that Bo says Din Djarin is a child of the watch, children of the watch are a cult of religious zealots who broke away from mandalorian society, their goal is to re-establish the ancient way she’s talking about death watch who were the ones who saved him as a kid. Death watch were hellbent on making Mandalore what it once was, they were very purist and elitist and led by Pre Vizsla during the Clone Wars who died to Darth Maul in trial by combat. Maul had the dark sober and Bo Katan and the other members of clan Kryze were pushed out. She says that Mandalorians are stronger when together, and he says it’s not part of his plan, as he’s been quested to bringing this child to the Jedi. Bo says she knows of one she can introduce him to, if he helps them with their mission (Ahsoka Tano). We see an awesome few minutes of pure action where the 4 Mandalorians make stormtroopers look like…well…stormtroopers. Now in regards to the Dark Saber for those who need a quick recap - The dark saber is basically the Key to uniting Mandalore and the Mandalorian people. Think of the Dark Saber as a key to the planet. Whoever possesses it, rules Mandalore. The only way to take it, is to kill the possessor of the blade, or challenge them to a trial by combat, like Maul did to Pre Viszla. So it makes me wonder how Giddeon did it to Bo, did he take it from her, if so then how is she alive? At the end of Rebels, Sabine gave the saber to Bo to take back Mandalore under her rule, so the gap has yet to be filled in. As they move their way up to the bridge, Moff Gideon talks to the captain via holo, where he learns that it’s the Mandalorians who have attacked the Empire’s other vessels, calling them, pirates. I'm excited to know what Ahsoka Tano is up to. Has she had any kind of communication with Anakin Skywalker in the force now that he's a ghost again? Learn more about your ad choices. George Lucas original sequel trilogy has been revealed from writer Paul Duncan, someone who knows George Lucas personally and has written some Star Wars books, including The Star Wars Archives Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy (which I have now ordered to extend my research on this matter). We are trying to get him on the podcast which would be really cool to learn and listen to his stories/experiences. The original sequel trilogy treatment, according to the book and Paul Duncan, was to have Darth Maul return with his apprentice Darth Talon to fight Luke Skywalker who banded together the remaining Jedi from Order 66 who had still survived after all this time. The Bounty Hunter Code Book, which sadly is no longer part of canon, explains everything it takes to become a Bounty Hunter and enter the guild. The details in this book literally make it feel like a handbook guide to becoming a Bounty Hunter and all the rules that must be followed, down to even entering Death Watch. Tons of cool info to be discussed here, and best of all, Leland Chee worked on it! One of my favourite parts about this book, is how Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk and even Jango write in the book to give notes on things. Yoda, the ancient Jedi Grand Master that we all saw with Luke in the originals, then again in the prequels with Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace and the rest of the Jedi Order on Coruscant. George Lucas has stated that Yoda was a mystical character. Like a Wizard. He comes and goes and you don't really know much about him. You don't know his species or his previous life, you don't really know anything about him at all. Baby Yoda raises all the same questions, maybe more, and I hope we'll see them explained in The Mandalorian Season 2. The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 2 is out, so here's my breakdown and easter eggs episode about all the moments you might have missed. The Mandalorian sets to find other Mandalorians to reunite The Child with its kind, and after Season 2 Episode 1 where Boba Fett watched him leave the Krayt Dragon scene with Cobb Vanth and the Tuskens, we all hoped to see Boba more in this episode. While we didn't, I feel we will see Boba Fett much later on in the season as he looms over each episode in the back of our minds. Mando set on an adventure that led him to breaking the Razor Crest in the process of finding new Mandalorians, coming into contact with some massive White Spiders which are taken from Ralph McQuarrie's original drawings from The Empire Strikes Back. In the end, The New Republic (Dave Filoni) saved the day, and he got off the ice planet to continue on with his mission. The episode added to Din and Baby Yoda's relationship, further connecting their strong bond of Father and Son. Other than that, as far as the plot line goes, it didn't do all that much, which leaves me excited for next week where the mission continues back on track. Learn more about your ad choices. The Mandalorian Season 2, Chapter 9, the Marshall, has tons of Easter eggs and things missed in this one that I can’t wait to explain to the best of my abilities. We start with Mando on Nevarro 7, I think, as he walks through a grungy spray painted place, now on the walls there’s tons of cool stuff. We see a BX-Battle Droid, what looks like Vader, we see Grievous, We se snow troopers, what looks like c-3PO but what could be a CZ3 droid, but even that I don’t think it is. Right here we see Chewie and the giant worm thing, there we see Vader, honestly I could keep going on these spray painted walls which I might in another video, but for now, let’s move on. Wampa, Watto, maybe. Mando has a run in with Gor Koresh at this gladiator style event where Gamorreans fight each other, they’re actually slaves with owners. Got Karesh plays it like he’ll tell Mando where to find more Mandos so that Baby Yoda can be reunited with its kind, until he turns on him and a brawl breaks out. Some Zabraks fight Mando, who were the species Maul was, until Mando pulls out his vibro blade which I’ve done a full video on by itself. Mando takes em down and leaves Gor Karesh to be eaten by some Hounds, Flying to Tatooine, he meets up with Cobb Vanth, who is wearing Boba Fett's armor. How could this be? Boba Fett died to the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi, right? Could he be alive, still? Mando and Cobb team up with Tusken Raiders to take down the Krayt Dragon and in doing so, Cobb vows to give Mando the Boba armor. The Dragon is defeated, and the Tuskens find a pearl within the Dragon. This was directly taken out of KOTOR. As The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda speed into the twin suns of Tatooine, a mysterious man is looming from afar, watching their every move... BOBA FETT! HE LIVES! Learn more about your ad choices. Star Wars The Mandalorian Episode 4 is out! Here's my extensive review and breakdown of it, along with my thoughts and theory on the next episode(s). What did you think of this one? A bit slow, and a bit of a Clone Wars style episode. You know, where the heroes team up on a recluse planet with a primitive civilization as they save them from a bigger local threat. It was cool, but I feel like it didn't progress the main story much, just worked on the character arcs of Cara Dune (who was really cool).
