Why did obi wan lose to count dooku in episode 2 attack of the clones? While it’s heavily debated that Obi Wan lost to Dooku twice, however defeated Anakin who killed Dooku, circling back to our original question and not really making much sense. While I don’t have to say that Lucas wanted to create more of a character development towards Anakin leading into episode 3, there is lots of unknown information here for just the regular Star Wars movie watcher. General Grievous, the famous and powerful Jedi exterminator. His ability to track down jedi and kill them was one of his most highly esteemed skills. Having originally been a reptillian creature from the planet Kaleesh, Grievous was later turned into a cyborg at the request of Sidious and the oversight of Dooku. Using Jedi Mater Sifo Dias’ blood to circulate through his veins. As he adorned his tribal mask to complete his robotic appearance, he was one of the most gifted Jedi hunters in the galaxy. Having defeated countless keepers of the peace, and taking their lightsabers as a token for his collection. With such ability, including his 4 dangerous lightsaber wielding arms, it makes one question, how did Obi Wan defeat him? Don’t get me wrong Obi wan was a skilled jedi, but he was not the best in relation to master windu or yoda. That’s what we will discuss in today’s episode of star wars theory. Why did Mace Windu Lose to Palpatine in revenge of the sith? Now while I know many windu fans are thinking, hey, he didn’t lose, he just got blind sided by Anakin. I couldn’t agree more with you, but there’s more to it than just that. While some say Palpatine was toying with him until Anakin showed up, and others think he merely just made a mistake, we’re here to once and for all, with canon evidence, state the facts. First, we need to know a little about Mace’s fighting style. Master Windu used Vaapad, a personal variation of the 7th form of lightsaber fighting styles, this was the same form Darth Maul used. Aggressive attacks, always on the offensive, and using acrobatic moves to finish the fight. While Vaapad used all of these, its main purpose was to draw on dark side energy from the opponent and use it against them until they ran out of steam. Mace was a master of Vapaad, as well as his purple lightsaber was indicative of his abilitye to harness both the light and darkside powers. His other ability, was called shatterpoint. This allowed him to see the world around him in exactly that, a shattered glass view. Allowing him to pin point the weakest part of a structure of opponent, and attack there. Qui-Gon Jinn was one of the finest swordsman in the Jedi Order, he had frequent sparring practice and experience with the most talented duelists such as: his mentor, Count Dooku, Mace Windu, the creator of Vaapad which harnessed darkisde and lightside energies, Master Yoda, and Jedi Weapon Master Anoon Bondara. Jinn was a master of the fourth form of lightsaber combat, Ataru. The same form Yoda used and focused highly on aggressive acrobat maneuvers. In combat, his bladework was wide and powerful, marked by heavy, two-handed strikes, followed by a quick parry to cover his vulnerable spots. Despite the form's weakness to blaster fire, Jinn's mastery of Ataru was so good that he could easily defeat blaster-wielding opponents. Learn more about your ad choices. The book informs us that Skywalkers actually refer to powerful Chiss women who could navigate through starfields using their third eye, or in other words, the force. Count Dooku is one of the coolest and most underrated characters in Star Wars. Trained by Master Yoda, and Master to Qui-Gon Jinn who taught Obi-Wan Kenobi, to teach Anakin Skywalker...he's kind of like Anakin's great grandfather so to speak. But that's not why I think he's awesome. He was just so different than the bland and dry Jedi who acted like robots. He felt the Jedi should adhere to the force, not the politics of the republic.
