In order to properly analyze this, we need to do more than just switch roles, we need to really understand the psychology and personality of each character (Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, Yoda, Obi Wan Kenobi, Palpatine) Let's dive right into it. Two of the most powerful force users of thei era, Darth Sidious and Master Yoda. People waited decades to see the ever waited duel between the two, and finally in episode 3, we got a taste of it. Let’s get to the point, who was stronger? I’ll firstly address, It is extremely debated who had the upper hand in episode 3’s battle? Yoda and Sidious seemed to be drawn in a stale mate, with both showcasing their force powers, acrobatics, speed, and dueling techniques, however it didn’t seem like either one was victorious. So let’s go into the comics, novelizations, and expanded universe for answers that the movies don’t give us. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Do you think Anakin Skywalker was stronger? Stronger than Master Yoda even? In revenge of the Sith obi wan went to Mustafar in Padme’s ship to confront anakin and defeat him, as per orders from Yoda. Yoda went to the emperor to do the same and hopefully put an end to the Sith. Now, if it weren’t for Anakin’s arrogance, losing his fight with Obi-Wan, and if it weren’t for Sidious unable to find Yoda to finish him off, the galaxy would be a different place for sure. No Jedi would have survived, and Padme would have been taken with Anakin to give birth to Leia and Luke. Things would surely look differently, let’s begin. Don’t try it! Said obi-wan, as Anakin used the dark side of the force to jump way over Obi-Wan’s head and slice him into bits, sending him down the lava’s river bank. Anakin looked at what’s left of his master, as he force pushed the remains into the lava, burning away any last bit of love that was left for his former Master. The hatred swelled in him now. Anger was his ally, and it felt overwhelming. Every moment that passed made him more powerful in the dark side, and soon, even more powerful than his new master. Learn more about your ad choices. Sith eyes are the super saiyan of Star Wars. The power up. The full power mode. When a sith showed his sith eyes, it was on like donkey kong. Anakin developed his first set of Sith eyes after eliminating the Separatists on Mustafar. Once he saw Padme, his eyes returned back to normal blue. But as he fought Kenobi...why didn't they flicker back and forth, or stay yellow orange? They only turned back to their sith colour once Anakin lost to the high ground, as he drew upon the powers of the darkness to sustain his life through the immense pains he felt. YOU WERE MY BROTHER ANAKIN could this moment have been skipped? Had Anakin used the full powers of the darkside in order to fight Obi-Wan Kenobi? Could he have increased his abilities if he used all of his new powers and drew upon that anger and hatred without conflict of the light? Vader had conflict, let alone while still in Anakin's body. I'm sure the conflict would have been much greater at this moment during Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith. Do you think sith eyes are relative to power if one is a Sith Lord? If not, why? The most powerful being in Star Wars: Anakin Skywalker who lost to Obi-Wan, ruined his chances at reaching his peak. This resulted in him becoming a lesser version of himself: Darth Vader. In Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, Anakin desperately wanted to become a Jedi Master, however he was not granted this status by Mace Windu and Yoda...why? What did he NEED to do to become a Jedi Master? The chosen one, surely destined to become one eventually, to bring balance to the force just as Snoke is obsessed with, was destined to bring order to the Galaxy. It's too bad he didn't before everything went 'wrong'. I wonder what would have happened in Anakin stayed in the Council chambers when Mace Windu and the 3 other Jedi went to fight Palpatine. Have you ever wondered what power levels each Jedi from the Star Wars prequels would have been? I have found an excerpt from Star Wars Archives by Paul Duncan regarding a quote by George Lucas, followed by Nick Gillard (swordman choreography and stunts for prequels) who confirms that George Lucas had a power level system. These characters include, Anakin Skywalker in episode 2-3, Obi-Wan Kenobi episodes 1-3, Palpatine Ep 3 Revenge of the Sith, Yoda ep 3 Revenge of the Sith, Mace Windu episode 3 Revenge of the Sith, and more which I'll discuss from the originals (Luke, Vader, Sidious, Obi-Wan). I find this levelling system to be quite interesting as it puts into perspective how powerful each character was in comparison to one another. Learn more about your ad choices.
