Alright, so, there are tons of debates in the Star Wars fandom, and of course, one of the main ones is between Mace and Palpatine. Who really won? Some people say Mace, some say Palpatine lost on purpose to just fake it until Anakin showed up so he can play the victim…now, in an interview with George, he did say that Mace beat him, however as much as I respect and love George, I think he says things sometimes in interviews just to shut the question down and move on. I say this because it just doesn’t make much sense with not only the scene, the character of Palpatine in general, but more importantly, this piece from the novelization right here. Baylan Skoll had a master once at the Jedi Temple...I believe it was Plo Koon, who also found Ahsoka Tano and was very close with her. I think Baylan holds feelings for Ahsoka and this is why he is conflicted with engaging with her in lightsaber combat. He had reservations when sending the KH droids after Ahsoka in the forest with Sabine in Episode 3 after Marrok and Shin Hati couldn't find her. Plo Koon would make sense! I wonder if it's him! Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader novel by James Luceno is an amazing book from when George Lucas owned Lucasfilm (no longer canon). I think the internal struggle of Kenobi learning that Anakin survived and is deeper in the dark side now as Vader, would be an interesting dilemma to see. Qui-Gon Jinn can be heard here in this scene to help Obi-Wan Kenobi cope with learning that Vader is alive and that Anakin's destiny will be decided by the force. This also shows us that Qui-Gon is very aware of what's going on with Anakin and how he has singlehandedly changed the fate of the galaxy, the Jedi via Order 66 and gave rise to Palpatine. Today, let's dive into a fan-fiction from Revenge of the Sith that I think would have changed the fate of Anakin's future, and the events of the galaxy as a whole. If Qui-Gon Jinn had showed up to Anakin to speak with him during his more pivotal and dire moment, I believe so many things could have been changed. Anakin would see that Jedi can live on beyond the living form. Anakin wouldn't rush to help Palpatine as he fought Mace Windu. He would learn all he could from his true Jedi Master. Palpatine would eventually be arrested and Luke and Leia would be born. Anakin would train Leia, and Yoda would train Luke, while the marriage and relationship of Anakin and Padme would be kept a secret for as long as they could. The children of Skywalker would just be strong force sensitives to the knowledge of the council, while many would suspect the truth, they would turn a blind eye until they were sure.
