LONG PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine, The soft glow of blue, Hovering just above your chest. PAUSE… The warm glow beats softly, With the rhythm of your heart. PAUSE… Take a big, deep breath in now, Feeling the expansion of your chest and belly, And watching as the blue glow grows too. PAUSE… Hold the air in for just a moment… And then exhale, Releasing it all out, And feeling your body contract. PAUSE… Now ease into a gentle rhythm of breathing again, Letting the waves of your breath calm you, Relax you, Comfort you. LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of the blue light, Above your chest. And as you breathe, Feel it spread out into your right arm, All the way to your hand and fingers. Softening you. PAUSE… And then feel the warm blue glow, Spread down into your left arm, All the way down to your hand, And into your fingers. Relaxing you. LONG PAUSE… Imagine the blue light traveling slowly down your back, From the top of your neck, Down, Down, Down, Covering and softening your lower back. LONG PAUSE… The gentle blue glow now hovers over your stomach, Falls down your hips, Down your left leg, And then your right. Warming you, Calming you. LONG PAUSE… One with the rhythm of your breath, The blue light ascends up through your chest, Rising up your neck, Softening your face, And covering the crown of your head. LONG PAUSE… With its core at the center of your chest, The softness of the blue light radiates out, Covering your body in stillness, In deep relaxation. Life and world circumstances that are shifting and impacting you. Decisions that need to be made. And so much anxiety about it all. But my dear, you are unshakable. No matter how challenging things are. No matter how low you feel. No matter how much you’ve lost, nothing can diminish your shine. Nothing can shake your true essence. So the intention of today’s meditation is to remind you of who you are at your core, so you can transcend anything life is throwing at you right now, knowing that you are unshakable. So Let’s Begin… Go ahead and settle into any position that’s comfortable for you right now. As your eyes close, bring your attention inward, Becoming aware of your body, Letting yourself adjust and release any kinks or tension, And letting yourself drop deeper into comfort. Notice any noises or sounds you might hear around you. Feeling the rhythmic expansion and contraction of your body as it syncs with your breath. Breathe… PAUSE… You may be coming to this practice feeling heavy today. Perhaps even feeling weakened from things you’ve been going through, like the smallest things may break you. But rest assured, my dear, this is your time to heal. This is your time to reconnect with your power. And the best part is you don’t have to do anything. You just have to allow yourself to be. PAUSE… So just relax and come along with me as I tell you a story. A story about a girl who wanted it all. To live vibrantly, to live out her dreams, to laugh and love and feel without apology. She spent her days doing her best to go after all the things she wanted out of life. But every once in a while, life would knock her down. An injury, a loss, a wrong decision with big consequences, an event that would interrupt her progress. Or worst of all, the deafening noise inside her head judging, analyzing and criticizing. It would take her out. Steal her laughter, rob her dreams and leave her gasping for air on the floor. PAUSE… How can this keep happening to me? The girl wondered in despair. Why does life keep knocking me down? Every time this happened, she would eventually pick herself back up, learn all she could from the pain and continue her life, vowing she would never allow life to floor her again. But you know how this story goes… It kept happening. Again and again. Until one way, the girl found herself on the floor again, this time desperate to break the pattern. PAUSE… What do you want from me? She called out to life. Why do you keep throwing hard stuff at me when all I want to do is live vibrantly and lovingly? It’s so painful. She wasn’t surprised when she heard life talking back. My dear, I keep coming at you because when you are down, there’s a beautiful moment when you must reconnect with your essence, your true self in order to stand back up. In these moments, you realize who you truly are, and that you are unshakable. You realize that nothing I throw at you can shake your core. And it’s beautiful to see. LONG PAUSE Feel the soft sheets as they kiss your skin. You sink into their coolness, and pull your blanket up again. LONG PAUSE Breathe once more, deep, long, and slow, and as you exhale, let any last thoughts go. PAUSE Now imagine a gondola on a small waterway. It’s Venice, you see, bright and beautiful at midday. PAUSE You cast a quick smile to the gondolier in the back, wearing the traditional shirt of white and black. PAUSE The gondolier tips his hat as you continue to cruise. You marvel at the narrow waterways you are passing through. PAUSE There are houses and businesses right up to the water’s edge, all lovely, bright colors– their beauty’s unmatched. PAUSE And the gondola lets you off at St. Mark’s Square where a flurry of pigeons take to the air. PAUSE The sun’s warmth holds your face in its hands, as you stand before a palace ornate and grand. PAUSE And you marvel at the artistry, intricate designs and lattice, that adorn the outside of this magnificent palace. PAUSE You’re amazed by the wonders the palace holds within. There’s art and a gold ceiling that makes your head spin. PAUSE The art and history take your breath away. You wonder what it would have been like to live back in the day. PAUSE And as you leave the palace and return to the square, you find a bench to rest and take in the sights while you’re there. PAUSE A little girl with gelato comes and offers it to you. You say, “Grazie,” which is “thanks” as she spills some on her shoe. PAUSE She doesn’t seem to mind, as she dances in the sun. The gelato may be melting but you both are having fun. PAUSE And her laugh is contagious, as you giggle at her dance. You feel the magic of Venice coming over you at last. PAUSE The little girl runs off and grabs the hand of her mother. She smiles and waves at you, then dances off with her brother. PAUSE They pass the bell tower, standing proud and tall, before disappearing behind a wall. PAUSE And you notice that the sun is starting to droop. Night is falling soon, so it’s time to regroup. PAUSE So, you find another gondola and comfortably settle in, as it heads toward your home, you reminisce where you’ve been. PAUSE Then, you pause one more minute to take in all of Venice. You hear opera floating in the air and a magic voice wraps you in it. PAUSE And the opera fades to quiet, and the laughter drops off, too. It’s you and gondolier paddling through and through. PAUSE And as you paddle toward the stars You’re grateful you had the chance to see Venice at its best, It’s your Italian romance. PAUSE And the gondola dissolves, as the night runs deep, and you find yourself in bed again, at peace, and ready for sleep. Now, bring your awareness to your hips, Sensing a deep sense of relaxation settling in. Let go of any tension in this area, letting it melt away. LONG PAUSE... Feel your belly rise and fall with each breath. Picture a calm ocean within, gently ebbing and flowing. Sense the peace radiating from your core. PAUSE... Direct your attention to your chest and heart. Imagine a soft, golden light embracing this space. Feel your heart rate slowing and calming down. PAUSE... Now, shift your focus to your arms and hands. Breathe deeply again, becoming aware of your surroundings, aware of the present. LONG PAUSE Breathe in again, and as you do, let your body release its tension and let the soft folds of the bed blend with you. LONG PAUSE As you breathe in again, imagine a house on the edge of the woods, a house bathed in winter snow, with smoke dancing out of a chimney. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself standing in front of the house at nighttime, dressed in a warm clothes that hug you and keep you comfortable. PAUSE And as you stand outside, in the beautiful winter air, you notice the full moon above, a brilliant, shining orb that washes its silvery light over the house, the snow, the woods, and you. PAUSE And in the distance, you hear a noise, softly at first, but then it grows stronger, Whooo, Whooo. Whooo, Whooo. An owl calls to you from the woods. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself taking a step in the snow. It crunches beneath your foot, but gently gives way to you. So, you take another step and another. PAUSE And with each step you take, you draw closer and closer to the beautiful woods near the house. PAUSE And, as you reach the woods, you pause and hear the owl calling again. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. PAUSE For a moment, you look at the woods, deep into her heart, a heart teeming with life and mystery. PAUSE Slowly, you step into the woods, the crisp snow crackling softly beneath your feet again, the moon lighting a path for you to follow. PAUSE Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. The owl’s call is clear, a call that guides you into her woods. PAUSE With each step you take, deeper and deeper into the woods, a feeling of calm and a sense of knowing become stronger and stronger. PAUSE Standing in the woods, you take a moment to bask in the present. In doing so, you spy a deer and her fawn. PAUSE The doe stops and looks up at you, still, and all-knowing, You feel her understanding, After a moment, she and her fawn go on their way. PAUSE The owl’s call glides through the air again, and this time, you answer, Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. PAUSE Giant wings flap above you, and you crane your neck to see. PAUSE The moonlight unveils a magnificent owl sitting on a tree branch just above you. PAUSE Silently, you and the owl look at one another, connecting, understanding in wonder. PAUSE After a moment, the owl draws closer, and you look into her golden eyes. PAUSE For a moment, you see the world spinning in the owl’s eyes, filled with life and knowledge that the owl shares with you. PAUSE Imagine, now, that the world In the owl’s eyes becomes our galaxy, and then other galaxies– universes far away, all sharing their wisdom with you. PAUSE You breathe in the knowledge, then gradually reach out to the owl who steps on your arm. PAUSE For a moment, you both just look at one another. Then softly and gently, The owl wraps her wings around you like a feathery blanket PAUSE You snuggle in, feeling protected, understanding all there is from this incredible creature. PAUSE Together, you and the owl stand as One. One in all the forest, One in all of nature, One in all the universe. PAUSE And slowly, you breathe in, and as the breath sweeps into your lungs, you feel the owl and her wisdom nestle deep in your heart. It seeps into the darkest spaces and shines its light. So the intention of today’s meditation is to consciously let love expand inside of you. So you can heal. So you can grow. And most importantly, so you can share it. So Let’s Begin… Go ahead and let yourself settle into comfort, Allowing your body to be relaxed and alert. And just start noticing your breathing. The rhythmic motion of expansion as you breathe in, And contraction as you breathe out. The cool air on your nose as you inhale, And the warm air on your nose as you exhale. The natural slowing down and relaxing of your body. Breathe… PAUSE… Imagine with me that you feel a warm, soft energy inside your chest. It’s small and round and glowing with rays of warm, yellow light. This yellow ball of energy illuminates you from the inside, And as its light touches the spaces in your chest and your heart, You feel light. And filled with love. PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about one thought or feeling that may be causing you pain, discomfort or unrest right now. Identify where it’s living in your body. And as you take a deep breath in, imagine that you’re sending this little ball of yellow light to that place. And just notice the mighty ball of yellow energy illuminating that space. Casting out the darkness. Expanding the light. And letting love expand there. Feel the lightness. Feel the love expand with every breath in. PAUSE… Now for the next few minutes, imagine that little ball of yellow light traveling to anywhere else inside of you where pain, discomfort or unrest is living. And imagine this small, yellow ball of energy bringing light to the darkness. And let the love expand inside of you. PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your breath. Noticing the yellow light glowing everywhere inside of you. Feeling the warmth of love and gratitude running through your body. Now bring to mind a person or a situation that might be experiencing pain, discomfort or unrest. Imagine this person or this situation is a few feet in front of you now. With every breath out, imagine that your beautiful, yellow light leaves your body and embraces the person or situation you see in front of you with its energy. With every breath out, expand your light. With every exhale, expand your love. And watch as it engulfs the person or situation in front of you. Watch as it heals. Watch as it forgives. Watch as it seeks to understand. Watch as it opens and raises and deepens and strengthens. And feel as your own yellow light glows even brighter than before. PAUSE… Let love expand. Within you. LONG PAUSE… Now, bring your attention onto your lower back. Feel the muscles in your lower back softening and releasing tension. Allow the warm, soothing water to flow over you, Melting your body, Clearing your mind. LONG PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your belly and chest. Feeling the water softly pour over you, Loosening, softening, and melting you. PAUSE… Sink deeper into relaxation. LONG PAUSE… Come into your arms. Feel the muscles softening, loosening, and releasing. As the gentle, warm water covers them, And melts you further into the night. LONG PAUSE… Bring your attention to your neck and head. Feeling the calm wash over them, Softening you face, And relaxing every single fiber, As you melt and relax, Soften and release. LONG PAUSE… Your entire body is soft and smooth, Melted deep into the night, Floating away into your dreams, As you surrender to deep sleep. LONG PAUSE Now, draw in another breath, and trace its path as it opens and relaxes any tension in your body. LONG PAUSE Imagine yourself walking on a city sidewalk in the cool of the evening, in a city full of life. PAUSE And, as you walk along the sidewalk, you notice lights all around you, lights full of colors, pulsing in the night air. PAUSE And along your walk, you pass people sitting at an outdoor cafe, laughing, eating, and sipping cappuccino. PAUSE You give the people a smile and a gesture of “hello.” And the people smile in return and nod to you as you pass by. PAUSE Now, imagine something in the sky that catches your attention– lights and colors from fireworks burst across the sky. PAUSE You stop for a moment and take in the magic of the beautiful flowery shapes that open then cascade from the sky. PAUSE You look around at the people who “Oooh” and “Awww” in pure joy as each firework blossoms, one right after the other. PAUSE Then you continue along your walk, until you reach a bookstore, open and alive with people of the night. PAUSE You enter the bookstore and listen as a young couple reads poetry to each other, eyes smiling with love. PAUSE Your eye catches an older man, with a beard and black glasses, cozied up in a big, fluffy chair, turning the pages of a philosophy book. PAUSE And as you walk deeper into the store, you notice the shelves and shelves of books– books of all colors, shapes, and sizes. PAUSE While looking at the books, you pass a row where one book stands out, where one book calls to you. PAUSE You go to the book and remove it from the shelf. The book feels comfortable, familiar, so you open it. PAUSE As you look at the page, words pop out. They twist and turn until they form a message of encouragement just for you. What do those words say? PAUSE You pull the book to your heart and listen, as your mind whispers, the message again and again, until the message is nestled into your heart and mind. PAUSE And then, after a moment, you close the book and quietly thank it for the message, as you gently place it on the shelf. PAUSE Then you leave the bookstore and begin walking again. The cool air kisses your cheeks and you draw a sweater in tight. PAUSE You walk to another cafe where people laugh, eat, and sip cappuccino. And you order something to warm you inside, something you swirl, as the steam climbs from the cup. PAUSE While seated at the cafe, you pull out a pen and jot the encouraging words on a napkin. Then tuck the napkin in a pocket. PAUSE You sip your warm drink and put your hand on the napkin. And as the warmth from your drink spreads through you, so do the words on the napkin. They become part of you. PAUSE You draw in a deep breath, take one more sip of your drink, and then walk away in the night, knowing the words from the book are now your words of truth. And some of them are negative. And sometimes, for a variety of reasons, or even for no apparent reason at all, we cling onto those negative thoughts and let them take us down a spiral of negative thinking. This can quickly leave us feeling angry, sad, anxious and even depressed. So the intention of today’s meditation is to help you release the negative thinking you might be experiencing right now. Giving yourself permission to let go of negative thoughts that don’t serve you well. So you can find freedom and joy in the space it creates. So Let’s Begin… So invite yourself to settle into a position that’s comfortable for you, Where you can feel relaxed and alert. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in, inviting in the possibility of freshness and positivity. And exhale. Take one more deep breath in, And exhale all the way to the end of your breath. Bring your breathing to its natural rhythm, And as you find your cadence, silently say to yourself, breathe in, when you breathe in. And breathe out as you breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. PAUSE… Now imagine that you’re sitting on a big, soft rug in the middle of a spacious room. This is your room...a room in which you feel completely comfortable and safe. Feel your hands graze along the softness of the rug. Notice the light beaming in from all the windows, illuminating your space. You watch as the front door opens and a dog walks in. Immediately, you think nothing of it. The dog is minding her own business, sniffing around your room, not bothering you. Your attention is on her. Observing her. The door opens again and in walks another dog. The two dogs see each other and start barking. Out of excitement or threat, you can’t tell. But the barking continues. What was minutes ago just a curious dog is now a loud disruption. Again, the door opens and ten more dogs invite themselves into your precious space. They’re barking. They’re sniffing. They’re jumping. They’re running. They’re loud. They’re overwhelming. It’s all too much. So you take a deep breath in and rise from your rug. And you approach one of the dogs and tenderly place your hand on her head, gently letting your fingers caress her fur. Her barking stops. Her movement stops. She softens and relaxes and melts into your touch. You ask her to leave and feel immediate relief as she heads out the door. One by one, you approach each dog with a loving hand, caress her and ask her to leave. And one by one, each dog heads out of your room, until the room is once again, full of light and peacefully quiet. Imagine yourself sitting back on your soft, comfortable rug, drinking in the space. Enjoying the silence. Enjoying the peace. PAUSE… For the next few minutes, I want you to imagine this same scenario. And instead of dogs coming into your room, I want you to identify all the negative thoughts coming in. See them around you. And when you’re ready, imagine yourself approaching them gently and asking them to leave. Until your beautiful, peaceful room is all yours again. LONG PAUSE And as you find the perfect space in your bed, the perfect, most relaxing place in the sheets, take a moment and breathe. LONG PAUSE And as you breathe, invite your body yo let go and rest. Let yourself center for sleep. LONG PAUSE Now, draw in another long, deep breath, and imagine seeing a feather gently alight on your feet. PAUSE As the feather softly rests on your feet, It’s fluffy touch relaxes your feet and toes, deeply relaxes them. PAUSE Now, envision the feather floating toward your lower leg and then gently wafting down touching the legs. PAUSE Its warm feathery touch is so relaxing. It sends calming, healing energy through your legs while just resting on them. PAUSE The feather moves slightly across your legs. And with each touch, deepens the relaxation. PAUSE Breathe in, and imagine the feather moving toward your thighs. Once again, it lands gently on them, easing any tension, opening the thigh muscles, and relaxing them fully. PAUSE And now, notice the feather alighting on your belly, sending its relaxing, healing energies deep inside you. PAUSE And while the feather rests on your abdomen, feel its relaxing power sinking through to your lower back, helping your lower back release tension, and become just like butter. PAUSE Then the feather softly moves to your center, where it nestles against your core, brushing away tension and spreading relaxation all through the core and mid-back. PAUSE The feather floats to your chest, landing near your heart, where your perfect rhythm lives. And the feather relaxes you even more deeply. PAUSE Now, the feather’s energy reaches your upper back and your arms, softening those muscles and absorbing all the tension. PAUSE Now, the feather scoots just a few inches above, to your neck, where your throat and neck muscles give way to the feather’s relaxing power. PAUSE The feather pauses and you breathe Feeling warmed muscles that melt into relaxation, leaving you open and full of peace. PAUSE Now, Imagine the feather brushing your face, and with each touch, the muscles in your jaw, your cheeks, and your forehead soften with all the tension dissolving. PAUSE Now, the feather gently strokes the top of your head, relaxing your scalp and opening you to beautiful dreams. PAUSE Imagine, now, a soft purple light stretching for the sky from the top of your head. PAUSE And imagine Spirit gently dropping dreams into the light, happy, loving dreams that will carry you through the night. PAUSE And as Spirit gifts these dreams to you, your body softens even more and asks you to embrace these beautiful dreams and the sleep they now bring to you. So Let’s Begin… Allow yourself to settle, Snuggling into your favorite sleeping position, And close your eyes. Take a deep breath in, letting your body expand with fresh air, And exhale, allowing your body to melt deeper into comfort. It’s time to rest, beautiful. There’s nowhere you need to be, nothing you need to do. So come with me into dreamland. PAUSE… Feel the heaviness of your eyes. Feel your cheeks soften, Dropping your tongue from the roof of your mouth as your jaw releases. Let your shoulders soften and lower, Let your arms feel heavy, Your fingers melt. Feel your chest rising and falling as you breathe in just a little longer, and exhale just a little more. Relax your stomach, Let your legs let go and get heavier with relaxation. Let your feel release. And feel the cool air on your nose as you breathe in, And the warm air on your nose as you breathe out. Breathe, Just breathe. PAUSE… Now imagine that there’s a soft, blue energy floating above you. Like a soothing cloud of mist, this soft blue energy hovers above you. You feel safe and calm, so you invite it in. Now imagine that soft, blue energy pouring over your head slowly. You immediately feel it soften you, relax you, nourish you...release you. Feel the soft, blue energy on your head, relaxing your face, your shoulders, your chest. Melting your arms, fingers, stomach, hips, thighs, legs and toes. Imagine the soft, blue energy is now at your feet, patiently waiting. As you breathe in, let your breath search for any areas of unrest, any thoughts or discomforts that may be keeping you awake. Let every inhale help you find them within your body. PAUSE… And now imagine that with every breath out, you release them all to the soft, blue energy at your feet. Breathing those thoughts or discomforts down to your feet and out of your body. And watch as the soft, blue energy absorbs them all. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. PAUSE… Take one more look inside and release all that unrest on your outbreath. PAUSE… Feel the heaviness of your body. Feel the lightness of your mind. And notice the deep, relaxed comfort you feel. PAUSE… Now see that soft, blue cloud of energy at your feet. You can see all your thoughts and feelings of unrest swirling inside of it. They’re not yours to hold onto anymore. And every time you breathe out, You notice the soft, blue energy dissolve away. Bit by bit. Every time you exhale. A bit more disappears. Until you look down and see...nothing. Notice the relief you feel. Notice the lightness. Notice the freedom. Breathe in… Breathe out. LONG PAUSE And as your body relaxes, allow your breath to slow and deepen, with the warm, safe darkness gently sinking into your muscles. LONG PAUSE And after a few moments, you can feel the warmth easing tension in you and you relax even more. PAUSE As you breathe again, gently turn your focus inward, into that warm, safe darkness that rolls out from your center. PAUSE Now imagine a light rising slowly up in the darkness. A light that casts hues of rose, orange and purple all across the beautiful blackness, like a magical sunrise. PAUSE And the colors become more vivid, before giving way to a sparkling sun that peeks over the horizon. PAUSE The sun continues its ascent, casting amber rays across any trace of darkness, and lighting up a grassy savanna for you to see. PAUSE As you stand at the edge of this flowing grassland, this African savannah, you notice a tree in the distance, a brown, spindly-arm tree. PAUSE And so you walk toward the tree through the tall, golden stalks of grass that whisper your name as they bend in the breeze. PAUSE And as you approach the tree, you notice a lion, calm and relaxed, sitting next to the tree and nodding for you to come closer. PAUSE When you near the tree, the lion raises his mighty paw, honoring the strength he sees within you. PAUSE A smile forms on your face, and you nod at the lion, placing your hand against Brother Lion’s paw. PAUSE Breathe in, and hold your hand strong, as it touches the lion’s cushiony paw, where you can feel strength flowing between you, steady and strong. PAUSE As you bid Brother Lion “goodbye,” you walk through the savanna grass again, hearing it whisper “Strength, strength, strength” with every step. PAUSE Now, imagine seeing a zebra in the distance, black and white against the yellowy grass. A zebra that beckons you to move closer. PAUSE As you near the zebra, she nods and smiles at you, then kicks up on her hind legs and brays with joy. PAUSE Now, take a moment and visualize folding your hands in “Namaste” to Sister Zebra's free spirit. PAUSE And when the zebra draws close, you hold her face in your hands, and look eye-to-eye with her. PAUSE Together, you and Sister Zebra feel the freedom flowing between you, steady and strong. PAUSE And as you bid Sister Zebra “goodbye,” you walk through the savanna grass again, hearing it whisper “Free, free, free” with every step. PAUSE Now take a moment and visualize a giraffe in the distance, tall and majestic, rising above the savanna grass. A giraffe that Invites you to move closer. PAUSE As you near the giraffe, he nods and bends down, softly smiling, nuzzling his gentle face against yours. PAUSE And as you stroke the giraffe’s long neck, he licks your face with a long, warm tongue. PAUSE And, while you touch Brother Giraffe, you feel the kindness flowing between you steady and strong. PAUSE You bid Brother Giraffe “goodbye,” and walk through the savanna grass again, hearing it whisper “Kind, kind, kind” with every step. PAUSE As you keep walking through the savanna grass, the sun kisses your face, and peace and joy flow through you. PAUSE A breeze carrying the sun’s warmth brushes by you, and changes the whispers of the savanna grass. PAUSE With each step you take, you breathe in peace and listen to the whispers in the grass. Close your eyes and as you do, let yourself relax deeper into your position, Feeling your eyes get heavier, feeling your arms and your legs get heavier. And imagining your entire body melting as it relaxes, Dropping your shoulders, Softening your belly, Releasing your jaw. And just breathe. PAUSE… Let your breathing deepen, Inhaling just a little more with every breath in, And exhaling just a little longer with every breath out. Feeling the oxygen tingle inside your body. PAUSE… Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, let go of any tension or worries from the day. Allow your body and mind to gently release any tension, and bring your awareness to the present moment. PAUSE… Now, see if you can recall a recent experience where you felt disappointed. It could be a disappointment in yourself, others, or a situation. Allow yourself to fully acknowledge and feel the disappointment, without judgment or resistance. Notice where you feel it in your body, and gently breathe into that area, allowing it to soften. LONG PAUSE… As you breathe, imagine that with each inhale, you are inhaling soothing and healing energy, and with each exhale, you are releasing disappointment and any related emotions. Breathe in peace, and breathe out disappointment. PAUSE… Now, bring to mind any expectations or attachments that you had in relation to the situation that led to disappointment. Notice if there were any rigid expectations, unrealistic demands, or attachments to outcomes. Without judgment, simply observe them as they arise, and offer yourself compassion for holding onto these expectations. LONG PAUSE… Visualize yourself holding these expectations in your hands, and then gently release them, letting them float away like clouds in the sky. Allow yourself to let go of any need for things to be different, and simply be present with what is, without resistance or grasping. PAUSE… As you continue to breathe, imagine a warm, healing light enveloping you, comforting and nurturing you. Allow this healing light to fill any spaces within you that were occupied by disappointment, soothing and calming those areas with love and acceptance. PAUSE… Now, bring to mind any forgiveness that may be needed. Forgiveness towards yourself or others involved in the situation that led to disappointment. Offer yourself and others forgiveness, knowing that everyone makes mistakes and has their own challenges. Allow forgiveness to flow freely, releasing any lingering resentment or bitterness. LONG PAUSE… Take a few moments to simply rest in this space of letting go, Of surrendering to the present moment, and of cultivating self-compassion and forgiveness. Let go of the past, and be fully present in this moment, knowing that you have the power to release disappointment and create a fresh start. LONG PAUSE… As you prepare to drift off to sleep, allow these words to embrace your heart. I release disappointment and embrace the present moment with love and acceptance. I am worthy of forgiveness and compassion. You are deserving of peace and healing. Ready to connect to your calm. Ready to release the chaos of the storm. Ready to sleep. PAUSE… And then gently let your hand fall back where it feels most comfortable, As you snuggle into your bed. PAUSE… Breathe. In and out as your body relaxes. Surrendering to the circular rhythm of your body. PAUSE… Relax your cheeks, Lower your shoulders, Let your arms and your legs melt, And soften your belly. Breathe. PAUSE… Observe the storm. Maybe it's a swirling tornado of thoughts, picking up all your worries and fears as it travels across the land. Maybe it’s a giant ocean of dust and sand covering the deserts of your soul. Maybe it's a downpour of pain and suffering you see around you or in yourself that saturates you. Breathe, And let yourself observe this storm. Meditation: Let Go of the Shoulds

Find your breath. Let it bring you inward with its inhale, And its exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Let yourself be soothed by the rhythm of your body, Expanding with your breath in, And contracting with your breath out. Expanding. Contracting. Expanding. Contracting. Settle yourself into your body’s rhythm, Let it calm you. Let it slow you down. Let it bring you here. To this breath. To this moment. PAUSE… You may have heard it lately. The noise in your head. I should be doing more, it says. I’m not doing enough. You might be able to wave it away initially. But the noise persists. I should be doing this, I should be doing that. This noise can leave you feeling guilty, anxious or deeply judgemental about yourself. The noise gets louder when we compare ourselves to others. Or when we expect perfection from ourselves. PAUSE... But if you listen carefully, You’ll hear something beyond all the noise. It comes upon you in the most subtle ways. In the shower. Just before you fall asleep. In the loving words from a friend. It’s your inner voice. Your true voice. The true YOU. And your inner voice knows the truth. So take a deep breath in and let her words rejuvenate you. You are doing a great job, Beautiful. You don’t need to do anything more. You don’t need to be anything more. You are enough. You’re doing your best. And when there is an opening for more, I will guide you there with tenderness, excitement and energy...not with the stress and guilt of a hailstorm of shoulds. You are incredible. And you’re doing a great job right now. PAUSE… Bring your attention to your breath and with every breath in, imagine yourself breathing in grace, love and acceptance. And with every breath out, imagine yourself letting go of the shame, guilt or perfection you may have been holding onto. Breathe in love, Breathe out guilt. Breathe in grace, Breathe out perfection. Breathe in acceptance, Breathe out shame. PAUSE... You are exactly where you need to be right now. You are doing exactly what you need to be doing. You are doing your best. Trust your voice. LONG PAUSE Find the position that is right for you. And lets you melt into your bed Sinking slowly into it As you become one with it. PAUSE Then gradually inhale another breath, A breath of peace and calm, A breath that touches any area of tension in your body. And softens that area as you let go. LONG PAUSE As you breathe, imagine a curtain opening in your mind’s eye, red velvet with thick gold cords dangling at the end. PAUSE Behind the curtain are your dreams, the things you want to bring to life, These dreams stir your soul and spark your inner light. PAUSE These dreams are calling you Inspiring you to move with them, You’re their Creator With the power to make them true. PAUSE Imagine, now, stepping onto the stage Where they’re holding space for you. Like an orchestra, ready to play, Just waiting for their Conductor to guide them, to bring them to life. All together. Breathe in your dream’s power. PAUSE And now, set an intention for your dream, an intention you tell yourself you will remember when you wake, an intention that is your truth. PAUSE Across the stage is another dream ready to come to life, with an orchestra bathed in all vibrant colors of the rainbow. PAUSE As you approach the dream, The orchestra plays a lullaby. A distant, dreamy lullaby. Each note rises as a color, swirling above you. PAUSE Moving with ease and grace, the colors roll in the air, blending into shapes and pieces of the dream you’re ready to create. PAUSE Quietly, softly, your dream embraces you. The colors embrace you, Giving you a safe, gentle hug before melding into you. Becoming you. You and your dream are one. LONG PAUSE Now, allow your mind to let go, to release the stray thoughts weighing it down. And let your breath form a gentle, relaxing rhythm, breathing in… and out… In… and out… LONG PAUSE Your body relaxes more, and you feel yourself open, to the quiet magic of the night. A magic that lives and breathes in nature all around you, and is inviting you to come along. PAUSE Imagine an egret, regal and white, poised next to your bed, Angel-like wings spread wide readying for flight. PAUSE The egret beckons you to take to the air. So gingerly. you slide on his back, releasing your cares. And those cares tumble down as you give a cleansing heave. The bird turns his head, He's ready to leave. PAUSE You glide out the window and skim the tops of the trees. There's a rhythm to the wings’ flapping as they catch a breeze. PAUSE Above, the stars wink at you, those heavenly diamonds of the light Below, an owl hoots. Nature’s guardian of night PAUSE The egret circles ‘round the clouds. You pass over the moon like a wave with no sound. Then the egret flies gently– ever so gently– down, Until you both touch the forest ground. PAUSE And you notice these woods are different from woods you know. Instead of being cloaked in darkness this night, The flora and fauna glow. PAUSE You take a step, and leaves crackle beneath your foot. The ground shimmers in gold as you walk and look. PAUSE To each side there are flowers glistening like the stars– Purples, greens, pinks and blues And beautiful sparkles in trees and shrubs afar PAUSE A pine tree shines in green with its pine cones in silver. It looks divinely different, and yet, comfortably familiar. PAUSE And you pick a pine cone up Enamored with its glow Then set it back down gentle and slow. PAUSE Nearby, two raccoons chitter while peeking out from pink shrubs. In the distance, a snoozing mother wolf cuddles her drowsy cubs. PAUSE A doe and a buck pause, looking you in the eye. Then scamper away deep in the night.. PAUSE Now, the bird spreads its wings and calls you once more. Without hesitation, you climb aboard. PAUSE Fly past the moon and trees, back to your bed, with the nature’s magic night cozied up in your head. LONG PAUSE… As you sleep with Mother Nature, You realize one thing.
