Let that breath move through you like a peaceful song. LONG PAUSE And through your body, This relaxing song plays, Bringing you to a place where healing awaits. LONG PAUSE So, stay with song, And your breathing as well, Until you’re open and relaxed, And your body just melts. LONG PAUSE Now, visualize, if you can, A diamond shimmering at your feet. It’s radiating warmth and healing, And you welcome the regenerative treat. PAUSE After a minute, The diamond moves to the ankles, Where it alleviates all stress, And then in a gentle motion Lets the muscles rest. PAUSE Now, your feet and ankles, Feel deeply relaxed. Your foundation for standing is healing to the max. PAUSE The diamond journeys farther, Up to your calves, Where it loosens that tension, As it moves on its path. PAUSE Now, the diamond shines in the center of your knees, Taking away pain and creaking, So they move with ease. PAUSE And slowly the diamond moves, To the hamstrings from the calves, Weaving in calm and cooling inflammation, Like a healing salve. PAUSE Next, the diamond shines Right on top of your thighs, Giving them strength and energy, With the relief it supplies. PAUSE Now take a minute and feel, How your lower body is healing. It’s more peaceful and calm, And positively affecting your whole being. PAUSE The diamond’s energy, Circles around your hips, Melting away pain and pressure, Then continues on its trip. PAUSE Pivoting through the abdomen, The diamond radiates its therapy, Restoring balance and creativity, And bringing greater healing clarity. PAUSE To your center, your core, The diamond lights up who you are, Healing self image and self worth, Changing your thinking to you’re a star. PAUSE You pause for a moment, While breathing in the rejuvenation, The diamond works its healing magic, On your body’s situation. PAUSE To the chest the diamond circulates, Easing tension and opening the heart, Healing grief and hurts, And bestowing you with a new start. PAUSE The diamond parks atop your neck and shoulders, Sending heat into them, So they release and relax, And no longer feel like boulders. PAUSE Rising to the throat, The diamond settles in deep, Healing your ability to speak your truth, With peace and ease. PAUSE Now, your forehead and cheeks, Experience the diamond’s warmth heal, Opening your third eye to dreams, And relaxing you more still. PAUSE Now, the diamond moves To the top of the head, Shining your light divinely, As you continue to rest. And your whole body is the diamond, Filled with healing light, Keep it and share it, In the day and at night. Meditation: Release the Thoughts

Turn off the thoughts inside your head and let your body fall deeply into the comforting arms of sleep. Close your eyes and invite your body to relax into your most favorite sleeping position. Bring your attention inward. Noticing the weight of your body on your bed. Feeling the softness of your sheets or blankets. Hearing the soft whispers of your breath as it enters and exits your nose. Observing where your body may be tight and inviting those areas to relax. Relaxing your cheeks and jaw. Lowering your shoulders, Softening your belly, Relaxing your arms and legs. Surrender to the soothing rhythm of your body, And breathe. PAUSE… One by one, the thoughts may bubble up to the surface of your consciousness. Begging for your attention. They tease you with a false sense of importance, Making you feel like you have to give into their cries. But you don’t. Their dramas don’t need to be played out right now. Now is your time for sleep. Your time to restore your mind, body and soul. Your time to be embraced by the loving arms of the night. Nothing needs to be done. Nothing needs to be figured out. Just breathe… PAUSE… The thoughts will continue to arise and that’s normal. They may be helpful thoughts, trying to manage or organize your days. Or maybe they’re excited thoughts, swirling with people, ideas and experiences that make you smile with hope and exhilaration. Or maybe they’re anxious thoughts, soaked in worry, fear and stress. They could even be seemingly random and strange thoughts, depicting memories or insights that don’t make much sense. Whatever is coming to the surface, See if you can imagine each of these thoughts as a small glowing ball of light, floating in the air around you. And every time you breathe out, Imagine that your breath extinguishes the light on one of these thoughts, one of these balls of light. Breathe out and turn off the thoughts. One by one. With each breath out. Darkening the space around you as each ball of light turns off and vanishes into the night. Breathe out. Breathe out. PAUSE… As another thought comes up, imagine it again as a glowing light around you, And as you exhale, blow out the light, and watch it dissolve into the night. Breathe in, And blow out another light. Breathe in, And blow out another light. PAUSE… What was once bright with all the glowing lights of thoughts, Is now dark. Empty. Peaceful. Quiet. Inhale and feel the fresh air filling your belly, And exhale into the darkness. PAUSE... Anytime another thought comes up, Just see it as a small, glowing light, And then blow it out on your exhale. This is your special space of stillness. Where your body can relax, And your mind can clear, So you may drift off into deep sleep. Breathe so you body fills that space, and you feel safe, comfortable and happy LONG PAUSE Pause, and take a few minutes to really bask in and enjoy the wonderful serenity all around you. PAUSE So turn your attention to that sacredness, and imagine comfortably sitting on the beach. PAUSE The temperature is perfect, not too hot or too cold. And a light breeze gently strokes your face. PAUSE And, as you sit on the beach, you are aware of yourself and your connection to this all that is around you. PAUSE Your thoughts follow the seagull, soaring without boundaries into the billowy clouds, and then diving back down to the water. PAUSE And as your mind traces the bird’s flight, feelings of freedom and openness flow through you. PAUSE After a moment, a splash in the water slides into your awareness. And you envision a beautiful manta ray lifting its wings above the water, high into the sky, before falling back into the waves’ embrace. PAUSE You continue listening with the sun kissing your cheeks, and relaxation swimming in you. PAUSE After a moment, the sound of dozens of tiny splashes catch your attention. You know that silver bait fish are being chased by something else. PAUSE Moments later, a child’s voice rings out, “Look at the dolphins.” In your mind’s eye, you see a school of dray bottlenose dolphins looping through the water in search of bait fish. PAUSE The quiet settles in again, and you listen as the seabreeze whistles and sings through the air. PAUSE Moments later, your attention moves to the waves, gently dropping before you, and the tide tickling your toes. PAUSE Your awareness illuminates the rhythm of the tide. A wave gently laps onto the shore, followed by the bubbling of the foam as the tide sinks back into the water. PAUSE Another breeze rolls by. This time, it kicks up sand, followed by a long rumbling. A summer storm approaches. PAUSE You take a deep breath, and bring your awareness back to you. Then you fold your hands in gratitude for the sacred sounds, and the sacred time in this sacred place. LONG PAUSE And as you relax into the serenity, your mind opens, and you ready yourself for a relaxing journey. LONG PAUSE Imagine sitting on the deck of a slow-moving ship crossing the ocean near Iceland. PAUSE The airs is infused with a chill that is both energizing and comforting, and you’re wrapped in a snug, puffy jacket and a cozy blanket. PAUSE And, as you sit on the deck, your attention is pulled to the sky, where a concert of lights is playing. PAUSE Blues, pinks, greens and yellow lights wiggle and flash between the stars. The colors ignite clouds in amazing bursts of beauty. The aurora borealis is on full display for you. PAUSE After a few moments, the lights change from seemingly random light bursts to a coordinated stream of light waves raining down from the sky. PAUSE The rain waves shimmy and skip, moving across the sky like a parade, and then, disappear into the midnight canvas. PAUSE Someone brings you hot chocolate, with tiny pink and green marshmallows, and as your stir the steamy drink, the marshmallows melt, leaving streams of color like the night sky. PAUSE A half moon is shining, peeking out from behind the clouds of light, while still casting its glow on the waves below. PAUSE As the ship moves through the dark waters, tiny diamond waves ripple beneath it, as if choreographed to move between the colored reflections of the sky. PAUSE A whale cuts through the inky water, pausing long enough for his face to be caught between the dancing light waves. PAUSE The whale spouts through his blowhole, then sinks beneath the dark watery landscape, only to reappear ahead of the ship, and sink again. PAUSE The night returns to its stillness, with the symphony of colors still flashing and pirouetting in the sky. PAUSE After a few moments, the ship passes a glacier. The icy glacier is aglow with the dreamy colors of Aurora borealis. PAUSE You take in the glacial lightshow, playing like a movie on a majestic white screen, while also streaming in the sky. PAUSE A nippy breeze kicks up, and the ship rocks gently for just a moment, as the breeze softly echoes among the glaciers. PAUSE A shooting star interrupts the lights, but only for a minute, between the black horizon. PAUSE As the light show plays on, you feel the arms of sleep wrapping around you, Ever so gently. You know your time at the dancing sky is drawing to a close. PAUSE You stay for just a minute longer, long enough to catch The neon green light show spectacular. PAUSE Then you snuggle more deeply into your coat and blanket, and find your way to a warm and cozy bed, Dreams of the aurora borealis, Dancing its light around you. Close your eyes and wait for the message, For the wisdom you might not expect. PAUSE… We don’t always give the heart credit For knowing as much as it does. We’re told that’s where the irrational stuff sits, The emotions that take us by storm. PAUSE… But why do we fear the feelings? Why do we work to avoid their grasp? What if they just appear over the top Because we’re trying too hard to play it cool? PAUSE… Strong emotions are not unfounded, Not senseless or groundless or dumb. In fact, they are likely the clearest clues To the choices we most need to make. PAUSE… We’re taught that our head is the place to go, Whenever we’re feeling in doubt. List the pros and the cons, we’re often told, As if wisdom requires neat lines and charts. PAUSE… But the head is so full of the world’s noise, So polluted and overstuffed. It’s hard to sort out what’s real and what’s not, Which can make the final result such a mess. PAUSE… By contrast, the heart is inherently pure, At least it is when we get out of its way. It will tell us the truth, even when it’s hard to hear, And it knows when we’re leading it astray. PAUSE… The heart isn’t only for matters of love, Though that is a true specialty. But we love many things in this life of ours, So its reach is much longer than it appears. PAUSE… You can consult with your heart about anything, For it will rarely steer you wrong. And when it does get confused, your gut keeps it in check, As it steps in to make the path clear. PAUSE… Breathe deep once again and listen well, Hear whatever your heart wants to tell you. Sometimes the messages are hard to hear, But they can save you from pain in the end. PAUSE… Though the mind has its place in many things, And it’s always worth examining your logic, The heart is so much better at making the call, When truth is at stake above all. PAUSE… It’s important to trust all the voices within, Since they tend to work as a team. But never write off the heart as foolish or fickle Without taking time to find out what it knows. But let this be the beautiful moment that reminds you, That not everyone made it here, Not everyone was able to soak in the softness of their sheets tonight. Resist the urge to feel sad, And instead let intense gratitude fill you tonight. For your life is precious, my love. And every moment of it is a gift. So let tonight’s meditation soothe your soul, And deepen your love and appreciation for this amazing life you get to live. So take a full, deep breath in, Filling your entire body with fresh air, As your arms and your legs stretch out as far as they can. And as you exhale, Ease your body into your favorite position, Deep within the comforts of your bed. And all those details you want to organize, float away. As you sink deeper into the night. PAUSE... Your life is precious. A truth the night knows well. She knows how fragile it all is, How quickly it can be broken, And therefore how important it is to honor each moment. So nuzzle deeper into her arms, my love, Surrendering yourself into her loving care, As she whispers the truth into your ears. You are so special. Your life matters. Your life is precious. PAUSE… Let the night cover you in her tender embrace, And feel yourself relaxing into her, Letting go of it all with every breath out. PAUSE… She carries you into the magical spaciousness of your dreams tonight, Inviting you to remember the miracle that you are, And the extraordinary journey you are on. PAUSE… You feel her gentle hand caressing your face, And are infused with precious memories, Pictures of moments from your life, Dancing all around you, Like light, refreshing bubbles. PAUSE… So I take a deep breath, And fight the loud voice, That says I have too much to do. You don’t have time, To go in your cave, But deep down I know that’s not true. PAUSE… So I ask for some help, From others who’ll hold, My responsibilities for just a bit. I free myself up, And shut down the screens, And eventually, I finally sit. Settle in for the night and take a breath, Try to pull evening’s calm within. PAUSE… It can be so very difficult, To reach for what we want. To bend and stretch and push beyond The rigid lines we’ve drawn for ourselves. PAUSE… At first, it feels impossible, Like something will break or split. We fear the pain and stop too soon, Before change can truly take root. PAUSE… But staying the same is painful too, And sometimes we even lose ground. We close our eyes and look away, Then pay the price farther down the road. PAUSE… But why are we here, if not to change? Life itself means constant motion. From bones and cells to hearts and minds, Transformation is how we survive. Breathe in and think about how far you’ve come, and how much that journey means. Breathe out and imagine how far you could go, how much more you have waiting inside. LONG PAUSE… Stretching comes in different forms, Testing both body and mind. Sometimes it’s our choice, and sometimes not, But resistance shows up either way. PAUSE… Even if we want to change, Discomfort can make us worry. It can make the choice seem like a mistake, And send us running for an easier path. PAUSE… Escape is often the true dead-end, And hiding just makes us weak. No matter how tight our muscles feel, They yearn to do more than exist. PAUSE… Our promise lies not in what we do, But where we can go from there. So when we choose to hold our place, We miss out on whatever we might dare. PAUSE… There’s a secret you need to remember, A trick that might ease the way. When some part of you starts to protest the stretch, Just breathe and see it through. PAUSE… Like so many things in this world, The answer is not what you’d think. Rather than stopping when resistance shows up, Let your breath push it out of the way. PAUSE… Holding your course may be scary at first. It may make you feel ill at ease. But in the moment after you take that breath, Relief will come your way. PAUSE… The stretch will start to feel natural, Something you were meant to do all along. You may even crave another breath, A chance to push for even more. PAUSE… The only way out is through, they say, And that’s true of growth as well. There is no shortcut to strength or gain, You must put in the time to change. PAUSE… That change can begin with just one breath, One bold moment that causes a shift. From there, the stretch gets easier, As imagined obstacles fade. PAUSE… Once you learn to embrace the difficulty, Whether body, heart, or mind, You can breathe your way through other things, Finding freedom in the challenge. PAUSE… So practice now as you fall asleep. Push your thoughts away with your breath. Then sink into that fresh, clear space, And hold it open for serenity to come. PAUSE As you land in the breathtaking land, you notice green, rolling hills that flow across the countryside like a sheet gently blowing in a breeze. PAUSE And as your eye travels over the land, you are taken in by a symphony of wonders to your senses. PAUSE You breathe in the fresh air, and with it the subtle woody scent of olive trees blooming in the distance. PAUSE As your eye catches sight of the trees, the beauty of the tiny white blossoms moves you, making a spiritual connection to you and the stunning countryside. PAUSE You draw in another breath rich with the fragrance of grapes on the vine. The honey scent lulls you into a state of deep calm. PAUSE After a few minutes, your ears are treated to the delightful sound of a bird singing. PAUSE Moments later, other birds begin chirping, letting their songs ring through the countryside. PAUSE As you walk through the hills, a brown rabbit hops before you on the path. He pauses, looks cautiously at you and then hops along. PAUSE Then, your eye catches a number of stone towers guarding the countryside, old towers built by medieval nobles for protection. PAUSE As you approach one of the towers, you feel its ancestors welcoming you and its protective energies building a fortress around you. PAUSE Along your walk, you notice an area where the sounds of bubbles call out to you. You follow the call to a natural mineral spring. PAUSE Gingerly, you step over the stones leading the gently bubbling spring until you can dip your feet iInto the healing waters. PAUSE The air is moist with hints of sulphur from the spring and the sweetness of grapes from a nearby winery. And the sound of the spring gently burbling relaxes you. PAUSE A velvety breeze brushes against your cheeks while the warm Tuscan sun alights on your face. PAUSE After the mineral bath, you decide to visit the winery nearby, and are awed by the array of chianti flavors dancing on your tongue. PAUSE There are woody and dried fruit flavors tickling your palate, along with smoky and herbal tastes, all blended into delicious elixirs. PAUSE The winery offers lodging, so you decide to stay the night and are treated to a feast of breads and olive oils, wines, sharp cheeses, pasta rich with tomatoey flavors, and chocolate, smooth and luxurious. PAUSE Before bed, you stretch out on a chair in the garden, watching Italy’s golden sun drop below the horizon, and seeing a silver full moon bathe the countryside in light. PAUSE The moon rises high and large in the sky, casting its light across the rolling hills, vineyards and olive trees, painting a picture more beautiful than any art.. PAUSE And as the Tuscan night unfolds around you, you close your eyes and let the magic of Tuscany flourish within you and your dreams. You feel the wind gently swirl through your branches, Inviting them to dance slowly with its embrace. In and out, Side to side, Back and forth. Dance and release. Dance and release. And breathe... PAUSE… The wind softly touches your leaves. Those thoughts and emotions that have been a part of your day, Holding onto your branches, Desperate for your attention and energy. But you are not fooled. You know your leaves cannot accompany you into the night. That you must leave them behind, So you can be lulled into peaceful sleep. So breathe in deeply, beautiful tree, And decide that you will let them go, And let them float far away from you tonight. PAUSE… Breathe out, And feel the soft break of one of your leaves. Your tasks left undone. It drops from your branch until the gentle wind slowly carries it away. Down, Down, Down to the ground. And then another leave breaks away, Those are the worries filling your head. Watch as it floats into the arms of the wind, And slowly falls to the ground. Down, Down, Down. Breathe, And feel the release. Now one by one, More leaves follow. Your fears, Your plans, Your memories, Watch them all release themselves from you, And float away and onto the ground. PAUSE… Your people, Your circumstance, Your anxieties, Feel the peace flood in as each one slowly falls off of your branches, And settles into the ground beneath you. PAUSE And the wand pulls the dark thoughts, Out of the you and the air, Changing them to light, And making them disappear. PAUSE Then the wand passes over, Both of your ears, And transforms the negative words, That you might hear. PAUSE The last pass the wand makes, Is at the chakra of your crown, Where it clears a pathway for energy Before it sets down. PAUSE And the wand rests on the bed, Just for a minute, Then dissolves into mist; Its work is finished. PAUSE And the work of the wand, On your heart and mind, Is intriguing to think about, Because they’re both entwined. LONG PAUSE Now clear your mind of all thoughts that take you away from the present moment. If they appear, just watch them dissolve. LONG PAUSE And draw in one more deep breath and let it go, centering on your third eye, the space between your eyes. LONG PAUSE As you breathe, let your third eye open and transport you to a new realm, a realm of dreams and imagination. PAUSE And as you travel to this realm you are surrounded by a cool, calming mist on either side of you. PAUSE After a few moments, the mist begins to move away, and streaks of sunlight pierce the air, making their presence known. PAUSE The sunlight illuminates your surroundings, and you find you’re standing on a rock, safe and secure, near a cascading masterpiece– a waterfall. PAUSE A symphony of water tumbles from high above into a blue-green pool below, PAUSE Mist and foam dance together amid the tiny rainbows that blink in and out with the sun’s light, all while turquoise bubbles pop. PAUSE As you look around, you notice an eagle perched on a branch nearby, and as the eagle spreads his wings, two beautiful, fluffy wings genty form on you. PAUSE You take a moment and just think about your silky plumages flapping in the breeze, and, like magic, they do. PAUSE You decide to test the wings, jumping up just a little off the rock, and feeling the air catch in your flapping wings. PAUSE And with each little jump, you feel a swell of confidence, of inner power gather within you. PAUSE You rise easily above the rocks, again and again, high enough to grab a branch from a tree. . PAUSE As you alight on the rock again, you draw in a deep breath, lift your head to the sky and leap off the rock. PAUSE The wings carry you effortlessly, suspending you before the majestic waterfall. PAUSE Splashes of water kiss the bottoms of your feet, as you glide from one side of the falls to the other. PAUSE Then you close your eyes and ask your wings to carry you behind the waterfall so you can know its secrets. PAUSE Your magic wings obey your wishes and lift you past the pool of water and in between the fall and a rock formation. PAUSE From behind the waterfall, you run your hands over the gray-black rocks that are cool and smooth to the touch. PAUSE You listen to the rush of the water, a curtain of strength cascading before you. PAUSE The wings draw you closer to the waterfall’s embrace, close enough that you prepare to feel its magic wrap around you. PAUSE As you move into the water, you feel completely comfortable as you absorb the strength embedded in every droplet of water strength that both relaxes and rebirths you. PAUSE And as you emerge from the other side, you turn to face the waterfall once more. PAUSE You hover above the turquoise pool, catching a glimpse of your face reflecting in the water. PAUSE At that moment, you feel the waterfall’s strength within, and know that, like the waterfall, you, too, are a masterpiece. PAUSE After a few moments, your wings deliver you back to your bed, and fold up like fans before magically disappearing. PAUSE You breathe and then melt into your bed, basking in tranquility and strength that you are a vessel for– now and forever. LONG PAUSE Feel the energy flowing, calmly like a stream. It’s moving through your body, carrying you to your dreams. LONG PAUSE And allow your body to just let go. It’s time to care for you, time to rest, you know. LONG PAUSE Take in another breath and imagine a bronze sun opening in your core– the healing has begun PAUSE And the rays of the sun stretch out to heal, starting at your head, the warmth you can feel. . PAUSE And your warm sun glow moves to your throat and chin, healing with its rays, healing from within. PAUSE The sun chips away at the rocks and leaves your shoulders free and moves to your chest where your life pulse will be. PAUSE And the glow gently touches your heart with softness and with peace, and circles the heart slowly, just like a beautiful wreath. PAUSE Then your sunshine nestles in your back between the shoulder blades, opening them and warming them with vibrant, healing rays. PAUSE Your sun settles in nicely to its favorite place–your core where it radiates its healing light before moving on for more. PAUSE Now, imagine the sun cozying up to your lower back. It’s healing and nourishing as it continues on its track. PAUSE Now the sun sits in the abdomen your chakra number two, filling you creatively, so you can always express YOU. PAUSE The sun moves to the top of the thighs to take away the pain. Its rippling rays outstretching helping tension go away. PAUSE The sun then creeps heat into the knees, where stress and pain are fully released. PAUSE And the calves feel the warming salve of the sun, with tension unwinding and knots coming undone PAUSE The more healing warmth the sun gives the legs, the better they’ll support you in the coming days. PAUSE Now, the ankles need care for all the hard work they do. They’re often a forgotten part of all that is you. PAUSE So, the sun takes some extra time to renew the ankles and heels, so they’re ready for what you do without any pain to feel. PAUSE And the last stop for the healing sun are the feet and toes, that embrace the warm healing power before it's time for the sun to go. PAUSE Now, your body is relaxed and healed from the warm sun shining in you, and it returns to your center and melts deeply into you. PAUSE Still, the sun can return– all you need to do is call– and the sun will radiate its healing, to any area, whether big or small PAUSE So, take the night and sleep in peace, your warm sun is nearby, for any healing you need. PAUSE… It was a magical experience, And I hope to give you a bit of that magic during this meditation. So allow yourself to settle, Inviting your body to lie down comfortably. PAUSE… Now take a moment to stretch your arms as far above your head as possible, And then stretch your legs in the opposite direction, Elongating your spine, Stretching your body. PAUSE… Now as you exhale, Release your arms and legs, And relax yourself into comfort. PAUSE… Feel what’s beneath you, The floor, Or your bed, Or the couch, And just become aware of the weight of your body on top of it. PAUSE… Now breathe in deeply, Expanding your belly as far as you can, Holding it for a moment, And then exhaling, Contracting the belly, And letting all that air go. PAUSE… Relax even deeper, Melting just a bit more with every breath out. LONG PAUSE… Savasana, or corpse pose, Gives us a chance to practice stillness. To practice the art of being, And not doing. To practice clearing our minds, And softening our bodies. PAUSE… There is nowhere for you to be, Nothing for you to do. So surrender yourself to the pose, Breathing yourself deeper, And deeper into this moment. LONG PAUSE… Allow your feet to part, Your legs to soften, And relax. Open your hips, And soften your belly. PAUSE… Feel a warming energy travel slowly up your spine, Beginning at the bottom of your back, And rising, Rising, Breath by breath, Melting you, One vertebrae at a time. All the way up to the top of your neck. Breathe… PAUSE… Let your heart open, Your arms get heavy, And your neck and face, Soften and relax. PAUSE… Stillness is here within you, Behind the movement of thoughts, Past the highways of fear. Deep within the center of you. Right here. Always. LONG PAUSE… Now slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes, And when you’re ready, Bring yourself to a sitting position. PAUSE… Bring your hands to your heart, And take a moment to honor this body, The space, This practice. The light in me honors the light in you. Close your eyes and invite yourself to nuzzle into your favorite sleeping position. Moving around a bit to release any pain or pressure, As you ease into your bed. Let’s start by taking 3 deep breaths, Bringing the air deep into your belly, And then releasing it all out on the exhale. Again, deep breath in, And breathing out any tension you might have. And last deep breath in, And breathe it all out Now bring your breathing to its normal rhythm, And feel your body relax deeper into your bed. PAUSE... Dear Universe… Today has been so full, And before I transition into sleep, I come here to you to slow down, to center myself and to connect with you, to connect with me. And I start with gratitude. Tonight I’m grateful for all the incredible people I have in my life, For the love that blossoms all around me, For the air in my lungs, And the gift of living this day. I’m grateful for the challenges I’ve had in the past, as they’ve shaped me into the incredible woman I am today. And I’m even grateful for the challenges I’m currently experiencing, because I know I become better as I move through them. There is so much to be grateful for. PAUSE... Dear Universe, You know I crave more. More love. More money. More joy. More connection. More impact. More peace. And yet I also crave less… Less stress. Less responsibilities. Less worry. Less pain. So please help me find my center, So I know when to strive… And I know when to be still. So I know when to do, And I know when to be. So I know when to take action, And I know when to surrender. So ultimately, I can be present to it all. PAUSE... Dear Universe, Help me shine. Help me tap into the deepest parts of myself and live vivaciously, bravely, and authentically. Help my external actions align with my internal wisdom. Help me show up as my best self, And allow me to evolve with all the messiness it entails. PAUSE... To be in mindful awareness of your thoughts and your body. To let your breath relax you for a night of deep rest. And to shift your attention onto all the things that make you feel good rather than on those that darken your mood, as you ease into sleep. Let’s begin by settling into a comfortable position, Closing your eyes and taking your first deep breath in. Let your belly expand as far as it can with all that oxygen, And release your breath out through your nose. Take another deep breath in, Filling your belly with just a little bit more air than before, And when you can’t breathe in anymore, Exhale it all out. And one last deep breath in, Imagining the air coming in cleansing your body, cleansing your mind, And letting it all go as you breathe out. Now bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm. And just take a moment to feel into your body. Noticing it rise and fall with the motion of your breath. Noticing if you feel any lightness from increased oxygen. Noticing if you have any kinks or tension you need to release. PAUSE… Bring your awareness to your breath. Notice how good it feels to breathe in and out, How the air can make your body tingle ever so softly with life, How the rise and fall of your chest creates a relaxing rhythm for your body, How each breath in is a renewing moment. And say a silent thank you to your body for doing this work for you as you relax it deeper into your bed. PAUSE… You may notice thoughts coming up. And if they do, imagine that any of those thoughts or emotions that are heavy with stress or worry or fear begin to dissolve with every breath out, Vanishing into the space around you, And releasing their hold on you. Watch them dissolve as you breathe them out. PAUSE... Now notice if there are any thoughts or emotions that come up that make you feel good. Imagine yourself placing them into a beautiful basket beside you. Maybe you see yourself placing thoughts about your healthy body in the basket, Or the work you do, The people who bring joy to your life, Or even the events that took place today that brought a smile to your heart. Place them in that basket and imagine a smile widening across your face as you do. PAUSE… Feel the calm happiness inside of you as you look at your basket. This pile of goodness that warms your heart and reminds you of all the blessings in your life. Breathe them in, And surrender deeper into your bed, deeper into the arms of sleep. PAUSE… This moment is a gift. No matter what happened today, No matter what tomorrow brings. This moment right now, this breath, is a miracle. And you are pure magic, A being of love and light who is flooded with blessings. So relax and surrender to the night, As you swim in the goodness of it all.
