S3 Ep 54How To Increase Your Impact and Visibility by Landing Dream Publicity with Selena Soo

It's hard to know where to start when it comes to getting publicity. You hear about all these amazing people who have become successful, but you don't know how they did it or what the steps are. In today’s episode, Selena Soo tells us her story of how she was introduced to publicity and the events that led up to her creating her company, Impacting Millions. Despite Selena being a natural introvert, she discusses overcoming the fear of putting yourself out there and the amazing benefits that come with it. Throughout the episode, she lays out the framework for her high touch, one year program that provides a shortcut to landing amazing visibility opportunities. She walks you through each step of the process, from creating your message to finding the right media outlets, to pitching yourself successfully. What are you waiting for? Download Selena’s Free Publicity Calendar:12 Months of Story Ideas to Win Over the Media: www.impactingmillions.com/allisoncalendarMemorable Moments:I find with the people that I work with, the reason why they're pursuing media is that they know they have something really important to share with the world, whether it's a really powerful story, a message, a product or a service that could really transform someone's life. So it's so important to remember that you're doing this, not for you, but to really make an impact in the lives of others.I am a perfectionist so I can understand overthinking things. But when I do a podcast interview, at the end of it or any kind of media interview I ask myself, did I show up generously? Was I present? Did I share information, stories, advice that could really help someone improve their life? And if the answer is yes, then I know that I've done a great jobI think there's nothing more inspiring than what I call a role model. But someone who really embodies a message of possibility and hope, who has maybe gone through the challenges that you are going through and has come out the other side of it and can show you how you can do the same.I think that sometimes we can feel so alone in our pain and our challenges, but the reality is that some of the things that we experience are experienced by thousands or even millions of people, there is a universal thread there. And it can be very healing for other people, it can help them kind of let go of some of the shame. So whenever we work with people in Impacting Millions and publicity in general, we just have them get really clear on what their goals and intentions are and make sure they get the right kind of publicity that matches their offers and business model.if you are never putting yourself out there, then I can kind of guarantee that you're not going to get those opportunities.Download the calendar: www.impactingmillions.com/allisoncalendarConnect with Allison: ⭐ Connect on Instagram @allisonwalsh⭐ JOIN THE SOCIETY: www.shebelievedsociety.com (use code 2022 to access the Society for $22/month)⭐ JOIN THE COMMUNITY: https://www.facebook.com/groups/shebelievedshecouldcommunity Follow Selena on Social Media: Website: selenasoo.comFacebook: @SelenaSooInstagram: @selena_sooTwitter: @selenasoo Connect with AllisonJoin us for the SBSC Summit: https://www.shebelievedshecould.co/sbscsummitInterested in working together? Me playing small didn't make her feel better. In fact, she gained in strength and treated me worse.6:40 I'm a smart woman, Bank of America's executives have personal-facing brands. Huge companies in the U.S are doing this. Sheryl Sandberg, the President of Facebook has a personal brand. Why can't Heather Monahan, the chief revenue officer of a media company?10:58 I will always be proud that I'm the woman who will be at her death bed saying, "Yeah, my first book has three mistakes in it, and I am so flipping proud it's out there." Done will always be better than perfect in my life.12:41 It's my job and duty in the world to make the world a brighter place, a better place, and if I'm going to withhold information and not do it, that's selfish and crappy.16:58 it's like practicing anything. The amount of frequency of doing something to truly become an expert, you've got to put that practice in and just get up and do it.18:39 A lot of people in your life love you and they want to protect you, but they're going to project their self-limiting beliefs on you. She has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in land brokerage since 2005 and earning recognition by Land Advisors Organization as a top producer since joining the firm in 2015.Nancy is known for her expertise in transactional negotiations and marketing. Her in-depth understanding of the Tampa Bay land market and the objectives of the parties involved in the deals she is working with allow her to secure the best terms for her clients while ensuring the purchasers also value and trust her input. One of the important tools that Nancy has at her disposal is Land Advisors Organization’s proprietary technology, which maps growth trends, area transactions and land development. Combined with her knowledge of the market, technical understanding of transactions and communication skills, she stands apart from others in the Tampa Bay CRE sphere and has established herself as a trusted advisor, which has allowed her to successfully negotiate and close on many of the most significant land deals in the area.Nancy has become one of the most trusted land advisors in Florida thanks to her ability to not only anticipate and navigate complex transactions, but importantly, her ability to maintain the confidentiality of a deal as the parties are working it. Where many brokers may want to brag about being involved with a major deal, Nancy keeps it ‘close to the vest’ to protect the parties involved and give them the time required to work through the details and terms by keeping it confidential – she is keen on protecting her clients and the integrity of the deal first, rather than seeking notoriety for her involvement in high-profile transactions. If nothing else, create an additional stream of income for yourself.14:55: We wanted to have a healthy pipeline. We wanted to make sure that that business was going to be successful. And it was. 16:08: Watching other people be successful with what they set out to do actually lights me up more than my own successes do. And we were doing that over and over and over again, so I am sure you can understand that I was on fire all the time and it was phenomenal. S2 Ep 44How to Stay True, Get Paid, and Do Good with Rha Goddess

As a podcast host, it’s always amazing to meet a new champion, someone who roots for people’s greatness and helps people arrive in their truest form so they can make their highest contribution. My guest calls herself an entrepreneurial soul coach, a doula for your purpose, and your calling. I can’t wait for you to meet Rha. From multiple New York Times bestsellers to multi-million-dollar social enterprises, Rha is the entrepreneurial soul coach behind hundreds of breakthrough change makers, cultural visionaries, and social entrepreneurs.Rha’s unique methodology has empowered a new generation of conscious entrepreneurs to stay true, get paid and do good. Her company, Move the Crowd, is rooted in helping people stay true to who they are. In this episode, we cover:➡️ Find your source to become a champion, and learn to follow your path➡️ Learn to bet on yourself and celebrate yourself➡️ Give yourself permission to sift and sort➡️ Learn to grow, evolve, and experience yourself at your highest level I’m so excited to be sharing some of her wisdom with you all today. I loved this episode so much, it's not only on the podcast, but it's on youtube as well. Check it out! Memorable Moments:[00:11:00.12] 2021 is about permission. And our theme this year is permission granted, new life, new liberty. [00:13:06.22] I've never met anyone who has said to me, oh, I'm done, I don't need anything else. Every single soul that I interact with says, I know I'm here for more, I know I'm here to do more, I know I'm here to be more. And that is the nature of our souls. Our souls want to grow and evolve and experience ourselves at our highest levels. And that changes every day because we change every day. We're not who we were yesterday, we're not who we were five minutes ago.[00:15:38.06] The most important relationship we can ever be in is the one with ourselves. And yet often that's the one that is last on the list. We take care of everybody else. We tend to our babies, we take care of our beloved partners, our extended families, our parents, for many of us, if our parents are elderly or aging, we're there, our nieces our nephews, we're there, right? Our fellow co-workers, we're there. And we don't carve that sacred time to be in intimate and loving and nurturing relationships with ourselves.[00:27:26.18] Fear is fascinating for me. And I want you all to know that I'm not someone that teaches people to overcome their fears. I'm someone that teaches people to dance with their fear in service and honor what's greater.[00:30:29.00] The intention and the desire in writing the book was to give you a step-by-step practical blueprint to get from where you are, to wherever it is that you want to be. And so I shared the sections, the stay true, the get paid, the do good, which is the three fundamental shifts.[00:33:24.09] So important steps for re-imagining, re-envisioning, where is it that we want to go? What is it that we want to believe? Who is it that we want to be? What is it that we want to do? And so in each section, there's the opportunity to reimagine and re-envision. From re-envisioning, we move to align right, action. So it's not enough for us to just be efficient. We now need to show up, consistent with the new speaking, with the new language and we get to do it as a practice, over and over again.[00:37:05.29] But the magic is really in those little things, that little extra step that we take is what ultimately becomes the game-changer. And so our capacity to see that, to recognize that, to honor that, and to celebrate that, that's everything. S2 Ep 40Why You Should Give Yourself Permission To Promote with Rebecca Cafiero

Rebecca, also a TEDx speaker, top-ranked podcast host, best-selling author, CEO, and Founder of the Pitch Club, helps female entrepreneurs increase their credibility, visibility, and profitability in business. She is passionate about helping women ensure they are seen, heard, and valued as experts in their field. Her amazing tips have been featured in NBC News, ABC News, and publications including Forbes, Reader’s Digest, and Women’s Health, to name but a few. Her bestselling book, Becoming You, is a guide for women who are tired of the never-ending to-do lists, empty milestones of achievements or constant searching for the key to their happiness. She believes women need to stop buying into the beliefs that doing more will make them happier or more fulfilled. In this episode, we cover:➡️ Learn how to step into your genius and own your magic➡️ Achieve the confidence that allows you to create boundaries➡️ How women can put a megaphone to their message➡️ How to feel good about putting yourself out there Memorable Moments:[00:05:39.06] We really help women put a megaphone to their message. We help them with their visibility, their credibility, and profitability. And I like to call it the expert triangle. And it's that...the credibility is the trust, it's the authority, it's the expertise or the visibility as the audience, right, so that we can grow our customer base. It's being seen by new eyes. Sometimes that visibility is also even being more visible to our current audience. And then of course the profitability.00:10:37.04] And the other thing though, I call it permission to promote, and I find this holds so many women back, but the idea of permission to promote is that it's this idea of stepping into our genius and owning our magic. And one thing I found is most women that I know that aren't successful in their business, it's typically the reason. [00:18:54.13] And when you have that confidence it allows you to create boundaries. It allows you to not discount your value. It allows you to not take on the client because you're not in desperation mode, that isn't really a fit. [00:19:59.20] But it's this idea that there are four zones. There's our zone of incompetence, competence, excellence, and genius.[00:25:23.12] There's one other, you could add, automate, delegate, delete, and it's looking at, okay, what can I automate? So things like social media, right? You can automate those. You can automate using Calendly. So you're not going back and forth on booking times. And then delegate is really the thing saying, like, what am I incredible at that also brings me joy, right. That I create the biggest impact, that I'm not replaceable. So, for me, that's speaking, training, and coaching, almost anything else. S2 Ep 39How BioEnergetic Business Coach Aleya Harris Helps Others Unlock Their Potential

As a podcast host, it's always fun when a guest has an awesome message and cool personality, which is exactly what I experienced in this interview with BioEnergetic Business Coach and Marketing Maven, Aleya Harris! In this episode, we cover:➡️ How to show up as your authentic self and prevent burnout➡️ Why we need to realize that your personal health = your professional health➡️ How to understand when you are heading towards burnout and what to do about it➡️ How to relate emotional and professional struggles to unlock your potentialAleya spreads actionable “ah-ha” moments as a professional speaker and podcast guest to help audiences leave an enduring, positive legacy. I’m so excited to be sharing some of her wisdom with you all today.Memorable Moments:[00:03:56.17] If your vision is not clear in your own life it's not going to translate into your business. Create a company, not a job. Create a life and a business that you love. If you're exhausted, take a nap, because naps are powerful. There's often some energy alignment that needs to happen, some emotional excavation and replenishment that needs to happen as well before you can truly get back to that vibrancy that you need to drive the vision of a company.[00:06:27.07] Realize that you need to be vulnerable. You need to realize when you’re not okay. Do some excavation and replenishment. Give your unconscious voice a voice! There are also forgiveness exercises that you can do…Light a candle…Forgiveness is a journey, not a destination. Keep that forgiveness process going until you feel complete. Remind yourself of who you are. Go back and read your client testimonials! Remember your journey and where you are now versus where you were before. Look what you've been through. You're still the strongest version of yourself that you have ever been, which means that more strength is on the horizon. [00:13:41.13] If you feel maligned, if you feel like people are out to get you, if you feel like no one's thankful for you and you've slipped into a victim mentality, you're on your way to burn out, or you're already there. Get yourself a ‘WOOP’ plan…Wish, Objective, Obstacles, Plan. And always have an OUT in your contracts! [00:20:13.19] Keep on track, adjust your crown, and keep on ruling. Have a goal and a ‘why’ that actually matters to you. You are 1000% worthy of every single dream you ever want to accomplish or attain. Once you anchor that within yourself, your ‘why’ becomes your way, and there's no other way to accomplish your goals.Follow Aleya:https://www.instagram.com/aleyaharris/https://www.flourishmarketing.coConnect with Allison:https://www.instagram.com/allisonwalshconsulting/Download your 2021 Goals Workbook: https://bit.ly/2021AWCgoalsAbout Aleya:Aleya, a strategist, educator, and an award-winning marketer has over a decade of experience. S2 Ep 38How Jessica Thiefels Lives An Empowered Life and Helps Others To Do So Too

In today's episode, we're talking with Jessica Thiefels - a published author, host of Mindset, Reset Radio, CEO of Jessica Thiefels, and co-founder of Don't Ask How. She's been writing for more than 10 years and has been featured in top publications, including Forbes and Entrepreneur. She is republishing her book on Amazon next month – “10 questions that answer life's biggest questions” and she's on a mission to empower women to make their own rules and live with intention, so that they wake up every day excited about the life they get to live. And I am so excited for her to share some of her great words of wisdom with you all today. Memorable Moments:[00:04:15.11] Stop accepting the status quo. The status quo is meant to keep us on a certain track, doing what our parents wanted us to do or what we think we should do. Question the status quo, so we can really start to build that extraordinary life we really see for ourselves. Why do I need to work nine to five? Why do I need to work for someone else? Why can't I create my own business? You can![00:06:56.03] Don’t wait until something massive, traumatic, or terrible happens to make an important change in our life when we have the opportunity to do that all the time. Ask yourself that question constantly to make sure that you are living in your values and that you are moving towards what you want. [00:09:34.24] Make your own rules. Surround yourself with people who are thinking these really big things because it reminds us that we can make our own rules. It's so easy to get stifled by people who are triggered by our ambition or too scared to dream big or make their own way. Take risks and be fearless.[00:12:42.08] Live an empowered life and know that in the doing is how you're going to change your life. S2 Ep 34How ESPN's Laura Rutledge Navigated Her Climb to the Top, Embraced her Femininity, and Overcame Perfectionism

In today's episode, we're going to discuss all of the super valuable lessons she's learned on her climb to the top of the sports broadcasting world. She's going to share how she created unbelievable opportunities for herself along the way, how her rise to the top was definitely not linear, and how she's learned to lean into her femininity while embracing the whole concept of not having to be perfect all of the time. This episode is packed with really valuable information. Most importantly, I can’t wait for you to meet her! She is an amazing person, and so down to earth. And I am so honored to call her one of my friends.Memorable Moments:14:01: I finally just decided that I'm going to just be who I am.14:29: It's not like you can just snap your fingers and say, "let me just push all the anxiety aside and just be myself on TV." It's not that easy, you know? It takes time. It takes experience, but just not being so hard on yourself and understanding that people will extend you grace.19:54: One of the things that I've figured out is that by showing up every day and by continuing to try to handle myself with class and to set the best example that I can, hopefully in some way, just my presence alone, being a woman, being a mother, being a wife, on TV, having a family, I'm hoping that that helps the next generation. S2 Ep 31Food Blogger Maxine Sharf On How To Grow An Engaged Online Community Doing What You Love

Maxine Sharf is a food blogger and recipe developer. She started @maxiskitchen on Instagram and has grown an engaged following of food lovers who enjoy her healthy recipes and authentic passion for cooking. She gives valuable advice regarding the challenges of growing an online community and why it’s important to lean into your passion. Memorable moments:14:45: Get over the mental hurdle of just starting. Just start putting out content, even if it's just one thing. 15:02: Lean into your passion. For me, I know that cooking is my passion because the world tends to kind of melt away when I'm doing it and I get into sort of a flow state.15:14: There's a hundred percent going to be a big community of people out there who are also interested in that thing, even if it's a really niche random thing that you're like thinking “am I the only person out there that likes this?” That's probably going to be a more diehard following. 16:03: When you combine the medium that you're the most comfortable with with the passion that you truly care about, you're going to create great content. S2 Ep 303 Areas You Cannot Ignore When Building Your Personal Brand

Over the last decade, Allison’s worked with hundreds of talented individuals to create, define, and uplevel their personal brands so they can go after huge opportunities for themselves and their careers. While each of them has understood, or grown to understand, the importance of investing in themselves, nearly all of them have struggled with one of the areas discussed in this episode as they’ve focused on building personal brand awareness, enhancing their authentic professional presence, creating valuable relationships, and identifying incredible opportunities to stand out from the crowd. Memorable Moments:4:05: The dialogue that happens between our ears is by far the biggest challenge that my clients and team members have struggled with as we’ve worked on their personal brands. It’s really easy to get in our own way, not fully invest in ourselves and fail to completely put ourselves out there in a bigger way. 4:33: We get in our own way for more than anyone else does. 6:56: Remember that the most important element is that you are consistent, clear, and cohesive. If you deviate, you will dilute your impact. Don’t do that. 7:16: Personal branding is far more than the aesthetic elements of your brand. It’s about your total package and how you share that message with the world.7:32: Never forget that people follow you, in both business and life. S2 Ep 30Is It Your Time To Shine?

In this episode, Allison discusses her journey over the last 19 years and how everything started with her learning how to tell her story and building her brand with the goal and desire to help others change their lives. She talks about how her messy story became her message and how she's been able to make an impact throughout her life and career, and how you can too. If you're wanting more out of life, and you know your story is powerful, this episode is for you!MEMORABLE MOMENTS:4:38: Every single person has unique experiences, but shared experiences at the same time. And if you can figure out how to pull all those elements together, you can really do amazing work in this world and feel so fulfilled, feel so in alignment, and feel like you're living on purpose.5:58: Ninety-nine percent of what I do at AWC is help people learn how to share their stories, how to leverage them, how to build beautiful personal brands, and put themselves out there. Because if you're hiding under a rock and you're not sharing what you're doing, how does opportunity find you?6:53: If you've got something burning in your soul and you know that you have this bigger purpose, this bigger mission, this bigger opportunity in your future, if you would just double down on yourself and make the most out of what it is that you bring to the table, you can live the most incredible, beautiful fulfilled life while making an impact and changing the lives of others.7:33: I didn't even realize the opportunities there were out there to monetize what I was doing. I didn't realize that I could literally have an entire professional career around sharing my story.9:22: When you can really leverage all of the lessons learned and help others and really do it in the heart of service, you can make such a huge impact. S2 Ep 29Leila Sabet on the importance of lifting women up, challenging workplace bias and being a role model

Leila was selected by audience vote as the cover story for the most recent issue of Savvy Girl Magazine which featured the Top 25 Under 25. She’s a PHENOMENAL young woman who’s worked her way up at Amazon, created initiatives to support women in the workplace, and is involved in multiple female empowerment organizations. In this episode, Allison and Leila talk about the importance of mentorship, challenging ourselves to pave the way for others to be successful, and navigating challenging situations.Memorable moments:5:17: I believe in diversity of thought and the critical need for inclusive leadership. I want to see more women in positions to make decisions, controlling resources, shaping policies, and perspectives and Lift, and Be Uplifted follows the idea that a gender-balanced world and workplace benefits everyone.9:52: Not every girl has a relatable role model that they can identify with in their lives. It's hard to be her if you can't see her. 11:46: Not giving up and quitting was winning. 12:39: Go for it, try it out. Don't give up and take yourself out of the game so early, because you're going to impress and really shock yourself. 14:54: I'm not sure we really understand the true meaning of authenticity and what it means to be authentic. It's no matter how uncomfortable it is or how much self-doubt you hold onto you, how you show up fully as the real, you, all of you, no matter what others may say or think about you, that is authenticity.15:13: I always tell women when I speak to them that sometimes the one thing that makes you different is the one thing that sets you apart.Book recommendations:Moment of Lift: https://amzn.to/3l79HfkThe Most Powerful Woman in the Room is YOU: https://amzn.to/3chCNV2Bio:As an advocate for women gaining seats of influence in non-traditional women careers, Leila Sabet has made her mark in the workplace by stepping up to serve as a leader women need most. Her upbringing in a dual-cultural household was key to her mission being rooted in equality with the larger narrative on diversity. Understanding that unconscious bias is built into our culture, Leila has made a point to hold the door open for young women who come after her through her initiative, Lift & Be Uplifted: Increasing Women’s Influence in the Professional World. She is on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc, shares involvement in the Girl Up Campaign, and many University-based leadership organizations, as well as serving as a champion for UN initiatives that support women and girls globally. S2 Ep 28Hindsight Is 20/20 - Four Things I Would Change In My Entrepreneurial Journey

Allison shares four really valuable lessons she's learned over the last decade building businesses and brands. As a huge advocate leveling up, Allison challenges listeners to invest in themselves, get visible, monetize their brands and create multiple streams of income. Most importantly, she discusses not letting fear (or yourself) get in the way of your potential. Memorable moments:3:14: Go after opportunities and make sure that your business is well equipped to handle the successes along the way.4:21: When you limit your ability to serve and show up in the world the way that the world needs to see you, you also limit the opportunities and possibilities for your future.4:31: We've all been blessed with so many talents, so many skills and gifts, and all the good things that need to be shared, but if you're hiding under a rock because you're afraid of what others might think, or you're fearing failure, you've got to move out from underneath that because it absolutely is your time to shine.5:44: Since 2009, I've had multiple streams of income, and that's because I nearly lost everything back then. I realized I was never going to ever put myself in that position again. And I think as women, we've got to start to have more open and honest conversations about money because I think if ever there was a year where it proved to be financially prudent to have other sources and streams coming in it was 2020. S1 Ep 17How to Get M.O.R.E. During Q4 and Set 2021 Up for Success

As you know by now, I LOVE to get things done and nothing lights my fire more than helping my clients start new projects, initiatives, nonprofit and for-profit businesses, and see them take off and exceed expectations. During COVID, I’ve heard time and time again, how much everyone misses being together, learning from one another, and attending events. I’ve also heard WAY too many people say that their goals are on the backburner til 2021 or that they can’t wait til 2020 is over. And to that, I say we still have an ENTIRE quarter of the year left! That’s SO much time to make awesome things happen! So I created an INCREDIBLE program to Get M.O.R.E. out of Q4. It’s a 12-week group coaching program where we will take a project, initiative, personal brand or business idea that you have from concept to creation while learning from THE BEST in the biz! If you’re not quite ready to go “all in” at this time, it’s still an AWESOME way to learn how, and from, people that have done it successfully so that you’ll do it the right way the first time when the timing is right.M.O.R.E. stands for:✔️ Mindset - We’re going to make sure your confidence and mindset are in check and that you’re motivated to get this goal across the finish line, with the clarity and focus you need to make it happen.✔️ Opportunities - We are going to get crystal clear on the opportunities that you want to pursue and ensure you're organized and prioritized! This makes a HUGE difference so you can keep your blinders on, and mindset strong!✔️ Road Map - Designing your success road map will provide you with the structure you need to know what to do, and when so you can prevent overwhelm and stay focused on your goals!✔️ Execute - It’s one thing to have the idea and create it, it’s another thing to execute and launch. We’re going to make sure you nail it, and then, of course, we’re going to evaluate how to take it to the next level! Not only will you receive bi-weekly instruction from yours truly with additional Q&A sessions to make sure you’re making progress, but you will also learn from AMAZING experts that will open your eyes to new possibilities. As you know, I’m all about taking you to the next level! The program will kick off in October and will be on Saturday afternoons. And don’t worry, if you miss a session, you will be able to watch the recording in the brand new portal for this program 💕.As a quick reminder, this program helps those that are motivated to take a project, initiative, business or personal brand from concept to completion. It’s also great if you’re just looking for an awesome experience and to learn, grow and uplevel your life too! There is a lot more information over on the AWC site, https://www.allisonwalshconsulting.com/more but please feel free to reach out with any questions. And remember, I believe in you 1000% and my goal is that you do too!xo, Allisonp.s. Even if you’re not able to join, I would be super grateful if you would share this with anyone who you think would benefit – just remember, #positivevibes only please!
