Red Markets Beta: The Brutalists episode 7
The workers of the abattoir need medication to continue their work and it is up to the Brutalists to transport the drugs. Unfortunately, the shipment also contains dangerous narcotics that could wreck havoc with the community. The takers may be mercenaries but the fallout of addicting an allied enclave with these drugs and getting them into debt with a drug cartel is quite dangerous. Those narcotics are worth a lot of bounty though, so someone must pay for them.

Of course, justice is more about politics and keeping the peace out here. If the innocent have to die in order to appease the masses, so be it. They take on a new team member and take a side trek in order to make even more profit. Of course, no endeavor is without its risks. The side trek may cost more than just profit if their gamble does not pay off.

Because the enclave of Le Corbusier is close to the Recession, every once in a while tourists from the zombie-free part of the country visit to go on a 'safari.' Specifically, they hire takers to guide them out into the Loss so they can shoot as many zombies as they want. The Brutalists are taking a father and son out for just such a safari. The father also hired out a latent bodyguard, who seems to have his own agenda. This is no simple run and gun job though. Nothing is that simple in the Loss.
Eclipse Phase: Forced Retirement
A group of Firewall agents awaken in a remote underground bunker built on a distant exoplanet. Firewall has built a sanctuary to restart humanity if the TITANs destroy everything else. It is hidden to the best of Firewall's capabilities and designed with their most extreme safeguards. The team is one such safeguard. They are an erasure squad tasked with reclaiming the facility from rogue Firewall agents. Instead of following the standard wake up protocols, the first wave of agents have turned on each other. The team must stop them before they destroy the facility. They have no communication or news from the outside universe. Has humanity fallen? Was this a test or an error gone awry? Did an enemy of Firewall sabotage the base? As the team prepares for battle, the questions rattle in their heads... (Please note that the first 20 or so minutes of the AP are missing due to a technical error on my part. I re-summarized the game, so you won't miss any important details. Sorry!)

Another day, another job. The Brutalists get some help for their latest job, a mysterious driver named Drift. They will need his skills and car if they are going to have a chance to complete this job. The takers must travel to an overrun enclave, release the undead horde inside and herd them to a slaughterhouse, where they can be disposed of and their clothing processed into grime-cloth, the only fabric available for the poor now. There's a long road ahead and countless hazards to navigate or demolish. There's only one solution and that is apparently quoting Fury Road. Will it work? Find out!
Elder Godlike: Beyond the Limits of the North
Elder Godlike is a new crossover RPG that combines Achtung! Cthulhu with Godlike - in other words, superpowered Allied soldiers fighting Nazi super soldiers AND Nazi sorcerers! I playtested the game in 2014 and the game has finally come out. Beyond the Limits of the North pits an Allied commando crew against the Black Sun cult, an insidious Nazi organization devoted to exploiting the Cthulhu mythos as a weapon of war. They have taken over a small fishing village in Norway and the Allies are worried about what they could be doing up there. So worried they send a crew of superpowered commandos to stop them, at any cost. As the landing force draws near to the coastline, the huddled soldiers wonder what horrors they will find in the village. If you liked this game, consider picking up a copy of Elder Godlike.

Fear Itself: Burner – A Delta Green Shotgun Scenario
A woman, blood seeping through her suit, staggers to the door of Red-Talk Phones. A gun is in her hand. She is strong enough to yell out not to bother calling the police. She just needs a clean phone, a burner. It is coming and it would be better if it did not have more victims to attack. The employees of the strip mall huddle behind the counter of Red-Talk Phones. Burner is a Delta Green scenario in which the PCs are civilians thrown into an Opera without warning. I used Fear Itself (a Gumshoe system) to playtest the engine because I thought it suited the scenario more and I wanted to introduce one of the players, Shaun, to Gumshoe. Burner won second place in the 2015 Delta Green Shotgun Scenario contest. You can read all of the entries here, including the winner Die Nachtbruder.
Eclipse Phase: Prophet’s Hope
A group of gatecrashers are sent on a scouting mission to an exoplanet relatively near to our own solar system. The planet has favorable atmospheric conditions and life, but something is off about it. There seems to be a human settlement on the planet, one unknown to transhumanity. They have medieval technology but are otherwise healthy. Furthermore, there are strange four-legged beasts roaming the nearby wilderness. What secrets does this world hold? Is it a TITAN trap? No trace of their technology or the Exsurgent virus has been found, but who knows what secrets lie hidden, just waiting for the gatecrashers to find?

Red Markets Beta: The Brutalists episode 1
The Red Markets beta campaign has begun! This session covers enclave generation and the first job. In case you weren't aware, Red Markets is a work-in-progress RPG created by Caleb. We discuss its creation in detail on the Game Designer Workshop series on RPPR. Set in the near future after a massive zombie infection has wiped out millions, the USA is divided into two regions: The Recession (mostly east of the Mississippi) and the Loss (the rest of the country). The undead have been cleared in the Recession, so the grueling work of rebuilding civilization has begun there. The Loss is still overrun with 'casualties', the new term for zombie. Still, communities of refugees band together in settlements called enclaves. Life in the enclaves depends on groups of desperate but armed survivors called Takers who risk life and limb to perform dangerous freelance jobs for pay. If you need something done in the Loss and you have the money, you hire a group of Takers to do it. This campaign concerns a group of Takers called the Brutalists in the ruins of Chicago. In their first job, they must travel to a small dam far from the safety of their enclave. What secrets are hidden within the structure? Eager for work, the Takers agree to the job and head out, uncertain of what they will find...

A group of Base Raiders find themselves trapped in the Graveyard of Giant Robots. Built by the Ideal, it is a state-sized cavern in the mantle of the Earth. The old heroes used it to store dead kaiju, wrecked alien spaceships, and decommissioned giant robots. Access is only through teleporters found in various Ideal safehouses but getting in is a lot easier than getting out. Paying for a teleport back to the surface is quite expensive, so the base raiders decide to take a job. Alien refugees want a particular computer back, which is somewhere in the depths of the Graveyard. Finding it in the thousands of square miles of kaiju corpses, swampland, car-sized kaiju parasites, and malfunctioning armed robots, is easier said than done. Who will they find in the Graveyard? Why is the alien computer here? Who is using it? Find out in this special one shot!

It's down to a crazed engineer who thinks he's a robot, a genetically engineered creature, a former Nazi turned dinosaur and a somewhat reformed mad scientist. Dying Earth: The Grand Hotel Perdusz
Dying Earth is a fantasy RPG based on the works of Jack Vance. Bill ran a game using the rules from the Revivification Folio. A group of travelers finds themselves trapped in a magical hotel, possibly forever, unless they can find a way out of a wizard's contract that binds them there. Witty banter, intrigue, and skulduggery are to follow! The Revivification Folio rules get players started within minutes. They set aside the extended, decision-heavy character generation of the original version for a system based on the random distribution of cards, which together take the place of a conventional character sheet. Players step more readily outside their established comfort zones when you can get them playing right away. When they spend less time creating their characters, they’re more open to seeing them meet the ironic comeuppances the game so often demands.
Trail of Cthulhu: Masks of Nyarlathotep – Shanghai – episode 18
The campaign goes full circle! Only a few of the original team survived from their initial investigation of a murdered priest, but after a long and harrowing journey, they have returned to the Pearl of the Orient. Now they know what the cult to the Crawling Chaos plans, at least to some degree, but can the heroes find the location of their secret lair? The occult is not the only threat - gangsters, spies, revolutionaries, and corrupt cops also pose a risk. Furthermore, the Yithians have received what they want - without their aid, the investigators are in more danger than ever. Will Shanghai swallow up our stalwart fighters of the unknown? The saga of the fugitive Tesladyne scientists has led to a submarine chase and now an underground base! The heroes must travel to the base, overcome its defenses, and learn what their enemy is doing with the mysterious energies locked within the facility. Majestic 12 goons, weird monsters, conspiracies within conspiracies, and possibly an undead Thomas Edison? Who knows what our brave and slightly insane heroes will face? A former Nazi dinosaur, "android" engineer, reformed mad scientist, and a Biomega creature are all that stands between us and total Armageddon!
Monster of the Week: Good Stories for Nightmares
Monster of the Week is a PbtA (Powered by the Apocalypse) system game that emulates TV shows like Supernatural, X-Files, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It encourages collaboration between players and GM so this particular game is set in a small town in New Mexico called Taos. Dwight, a Professional from Tartarus Inc. an esoteric-security firm, Tué, a Spell-Slinger, and William, an Expert in the occult, team up to investigate a series of strange events. It begins with teenagers burned to cinders outside of town, but who knows where this mystery will lead to? This episode's art was taken from a public domain book. Atomic Robo: The Fighting Scientists of Tesladyne – Episode 5
After confronting an evil AI, the scientists of Tesladyne realize the stakes are higher than ever. Now that they know who is attacking them, our heroes have to find out where it is located, so they can take the fight to them. Tracing the AI requires specialized gear, which is only available in a single safehouse. Visiting the safehouse may be a trap, but the scientists have no choice.

Synopsis: Fifteen years after an unfortunate night at a lonely orphanage, five haunted men reunite to deal with the aftermath of their actions. A horrendous crime has been uncovered and someone must be made to pay for it. More importantly, the Program wants to know what happened and what danger it poses. The agents must clear their own names and track down what set this chain of events into motion... Synopsis: January 2001: Agent Clove calls Agent Locksley to meet in a shuttered gas station kitchen. As the events chronicled in Through a Glass Darkly ripple through the whole conspiracy, it looks as if Delta Green won't survive the month. If they do, the group's priorities are certain to change. But Clove has a mission that can't be allowed to fall through the cracks. It's up to Locksley to bring four friendlies into the fold at the last possible minute and get the job done. But what kind of job is too small for DG, yet only fit for a DG agent? Nothing but nightmares and hard choices face the group as they go forth and learn why they've really been chosen...and by what.

When a truck in the Catskills Mountains hits a bizarre ape-like creature, Delta Green is notified. Similarities between the creature and specimens retrieved by the Nazis from the Congo spark the idea for an investigation. A team of three agents with Delta Green clearance are sent to the Catskills to find out the truth behind the creature. Using a beta version of new Delta Green rules, this game showcases some of the changes between baseline Call of Cthulhu and the new game. DRACULA HAS TOO DAMN MUCH GOLD. Also he's been kind of a jerk lately, what with the blood drainings and whatnot. So a group of peasants march on his castle to deal with him once and for all. They hope their superior numbers will result in victory, jamming death traps with their corpses, and overbearing any guardians. But before they slay Dracula, the peasants hope to loot the castle and thus gain a way out of the grinding cycle of peasant life. Of course, between the traps, monsters, and ancient artifacts held in the castle, who knows what will happen? Let the carnage begin!
