Ep 191Rams vs. Eagles Week 5 Preview: Stafford vs. Hurts, Kupp's potential debut, Eagles' front-4, Nick's Picks & more!
The Rams are finally back home after a 2-week stretch of AFC road games. When they enter SoFi Stadium on Sunday, they'll be met with the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, led by Jalen Hurts. The Eagles' offense may not be quite where it was last year, but their defense front is much improved and are ready to put pressure on Matthew Stafford, his injured hip, and the remainder of the Rams' offense. We listed off three very important keys to victory (as 4-point underdogs), and of course tackled Nick's Picks for the week (on a very difficult week to judge). Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 190Rams vs. Colts Week 4 Recap! Puka's walk-off TD, Richardson & Steichen tough to defend late
The Rams walked into Indy with a purpose: avoiding a 1-3 record and getting back on track. They seemingly did that with ease throughout the entire first half, but the second half was a completely different story. The combination of Anthony Richardson and Shane Steichen's new offense was overwhelming for the Rams late in this game, but a few missed FG's may have led Sean McVay to be more aggressive with his play-calling down the stretch. The Rams relied on their playmakers and were able to finish the job with a walk-off TD by the heroic Puka Nacua. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 189Rams vs. Colts Week 4! Game Preview, Shane Steichen's offense, protecting Stafford & Nick's Picks
The Rams are faced with another difficult task: a second-straight road game against an AFC opponent that is playing really good football. Under new head coach Shane Steichen, this Colts team is nearly unrecognizable. Anthony Richardson should be healthy enough to start, and their offense is full of well-designed plays and really good situational play-calling. Their defense is playing way above what people expected of them and have plenty of veteran presence to show for. How will the Rams get back to .500, and more importantly, correct the mistakes they made in Cincy, as well as keep their QB upright? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 188Rams vs. Bengals Week 3 Recap! Live reaction, McVay's play-calling issues, offensive line injuries & much more
The Rams lost on MNF to the 0-2 Bengals mainly because of self-inflicted wounds. They were 1-11 on 3rd down, 0-3 in the Red Zone, and became more and more one-dimensional as the game progressed. Sean McVay seemingly called a game that went against the Rams' core offseason principle: which was keeping his QB1 upright, and protected throughout the entirety of the season. The offensive line was banged up in this game, but is that any excuse to neglect the run in a one-score game (on the road)?! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 187Rams vs. Bengals Week 3! Full Game Preview, Joe Burrow Injury Update, Nick's Picks & More
Finally, the Super Bowl 56 rematch we've all been waiting for. I think if it were up to Joe Burrow, he would have this game pushed back on the schedule after re-aggravating his calf against the Baltimore Ravens late in the fourth quarter of a 27-24 loss. In parallels of Joe Burrow's calf, the new-look Rams are poised (as 2pt underdogs currently) to go into Cincinnati and come home with a win. A continuation of what we've seen on offense (a true marriage of the run/pass, legitimate/effective blocking schemes in the run game, improved pass-pro, etc.) and continuous pressure upfront should be a recipe for a win. You never know though, that Joe Burrow always seems to have some magic up his sleeve. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 186Rams vs. 49ers Week 2 Recap! Puka Nacua Makes History, Matthew Stafford is still Top-10 & more
The Rams have now lost 9 straight regular season games to the 49ers. But this one was different, as we mentioned on the preview episode. We believed that to be true because of the Rams' much improved offensive line, the unbelievable introduction Puka Nacua has made to the league, and the young, talented defensive players we have that are currently starved to stay on the field. We left this game thinking about how well the Rams' offense executed on third down, how well they protected Stafford (before the 49ers adjusted their front), and why there should be a ton of optimism amongst Rams fans for the next 3 seasons. A few mistakes were left on the field, but they were all teachable moments for promising young & talented players. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 185Rams vs. 49ers Week 2! Game Preview, Purdy vs. Donald, the Rivalry's Current State & Nick's Picks
The Rams' record against the 49ers over the last 4+ seasons doesn't tell the full story. This season, a brand-new opportunity awaits for the Rams to put their handful of regular season losses to the 49ers behind them. It's the very first time we're getting to see Brock Purdy stand back in the pocket with Aaron Donald creeping down on him, with a healthy Matthew Stafford and fully rejuvenated offensive line protecting him. With the 49ers coming back to SoFi Stadium, all expectations are that it's the 49ers season to lose. But if the Rams are able to handle business at home, how much of that will actually be true? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 184Rams vs. Seahawks Week 1 Recap! Puka's Historic Day, Offensive Line Revamp, Perfect 2nd Half Defense
The Rams seemed like they were on a legitimate mission at Lumen Field yesterday. They made the opening game vs. Seattle personal, and used all of the outside noise as motivation to prove the talking heads (and remainder of the league) wrong. Their defense absolutely dismantled Seattle in the second half, and their offense throughout the whole game progressively got more efficient. We were also able to see the relationships grow in real-time between Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell. Aaron Donald is doing the same on the other side of the ball with the young interior players & pass rushers. All around, phenomenal start to the season with a 30-13 victory on the road against Seattle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjTXOBKq5zs&t=13s Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 183Rams vs. Seahawks Week 1! Full Game Preview, Cooper Kupp Injury Update, Nick's Picks & More
We've finally made it, Rams fans. The long-awaited regular season is here. To kick us off, we're facing a familiar opponent: but without one of our weight bearing walls in Cooper Kupp. How are the Rams (offensively) going to replace Kupp's production, and how can they find a way to exploit Seattle's weaknesses upfront? Also, Nick's Picks of the week are BACK, so we worked our way around the league throughout the last 10 minutes (or so ) of this episode. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 182RBTP191: Preseason Quick Hitter Pt. 2 Raiders @ #Rams, Players who WILL be 2023 contributors
The Rams' second preseason game against the Raiders is in the books, and there are some key takeaways on both sides of the ball that we made sure to note within this episode. We've been identifying the players who could be contributors to the 2023 regular season, and a handful of them are starting to shine in recent joint practices/preseason games. Specifically, guys like Steve Avila, Quentin Lake, Tre Tomlinson and Bobby Brown. We truly feel that four or five guys will help shape out the starting roster and make this team feel more complete (both on offense and defense), and that's exactly what the preseason is for! A lot of fun and optimism to be had heading into the final preseason game next weekend. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 181RBTP190: Preseason Quick Hitter Chargers at Rams [Preseason Week 1]
The Rams' first preseason game against the Chargers is a wrap. In this quick hitter episode, we wanted to make sure to focus-in on the three areas that we felt were most notable (for a multitude of reasons): and to us, that was the defensive line (in its entirety), a handful of offensive lineman, and the special teams unit. If all three of these elements aren't working in your favor, any game is likely to get lopsided - and fast. Additionally, there were a handful of players who stood out, and could be legitimate contributors in this upcoming season: so we made sure to highlight them, as well. Enjoy! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 180RBTP189: #Rams 2023 Preseason Depth Chart Released, #Chargers Preseason Preview [Saturday, 8/12]
The 2023 Rams' training camp in Irvine, CA is officially a wrap, and it featured just a few minor injuries to some of our key players (nothing major, thankfully) and a fully rejuvenated Sean McVay. The combination of the two, plus a healthy dose of "freshness" when it comes to who's in the building and some of the methodologies they're trying to install from the top-down has us feeling optimistic about the upcoming season. We went through the release of the pre-season depth chart, any surprises/major callouts we noticed (hint: the position battles we've been monitoring) and got a feel for who we're going to see in the opening preseason game against the Chargers! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 179RBTP188: Rams 2023 Training Camp News & Notes!
The Rams have officially kicked off their 2023 training camp, and there's never a shortage of story lines as we're anticipating yet another fun year of Rams football. Specifically this year: it's focused on the new faces, and specifically, how those new faces are going to cause disruption (in a positive way) and influence the position battles that are currently going on. The WR position (for the third spot) is very intriguing, there's the LT position (Jackson vs. Noteboom), Center (Allen vs. Shelton) and RG (Bruss vs. Shelton vs. Anchrum)? And defensively, how are the rookies & new faces in the secondary meshing with Aubrey Pleasant, who is back on his second stint with the Rams? How is Aaron Donald playing a positive role not only for his companions on the defensive line, but his quarterback, as well? Find out in the latest! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 178RBTP187: Sean McVay's "Perfectly Called" Games from 2017 - 2022, #Rams Training Camp Preview for 2023-2024
Does it feel like there's an overwhelming amount of GREAT football offseason content to consume? Well, that's because there is -- between the Playcallers (Jourdan Rodrigue's masterpiece), Netflix's "Quarterback" and Behind the Grind, we were inspired to take a deep dive on Sean McVay, and what has made him (and the Rams) so special over the last handful of years. Going back to 2017, we chose just one regular season game to focus on as an example of his offensive evolution over the years, and why certain moments in time either made his play c0alling look unstoppable one week, and very beatable the next post 2018 Super Bowl. The most important part being how it was corrected to bring them back to glory, and how McVay will use everything he has learned over the years to carefully craft his 2023 offense. All of that, plus a 2023 training camp preview and players we have our eyes locked on. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 177RBTP186: #Rams' Training Camp Schedule, Behind the Grind Ep. 3 reactions, UFA's on our radar, UNIFORM NEWS?
The Rams are in a little bit of a down period right now for roughly the next three weeks as they start preparing internally for training camp. While we wait, we figured it was a good opportunity to address any of the latest uniform rumors, discuss the training camp schedule + what we're watching for (joint practices will be mixed in but haven't been announced yet), the latest from "Behind the Grind" (the Rams' personalized version of Hard Knocks), and talk through any potential free agents that are still very much on our radar. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 176RBTP185: Full #Rams 2023 53-man Depth Chart Projection
The Rams have so many difficult decisions coming up, as it pertains to the 53-man roster that has to be finalized by August 29th. While there's plenty of time, between mini-camp (happening this week), additional practice/joint sessions + pre-season, it's never too early to start determining who's not going to make the cut. Based on their previous roster decisions from years prior and the position each player currently stands in, we carefully crafted a 53-man depth chart, inclusive of every player that's currently in the building, and the 53 that we believe will help this team get to where they need to be. Enjoy, and let us know which decisions you agree/disagree with! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 175RBTP184: Updates coming out of OTA's, 3 players to take on "Leadership" role in 2023-2024
The Rams have been working through their new plan and getting to know plenty of new faces over the past 2-3 weeks with OTA's beginning on the 22nd of May. It's interesting to hear their approach, how challenging it is to onboard a multitude of players, and the updates we're getting from OTA's (which are always overwhelmingly positive). From there, we wanted to look past the month of June/July and evaluate which 3 players we believe are poised for a much larger role (leadership role) in 2023. The three players listed all could be massive contributors for this team, will indefinitely guide the younger players and have a ton of upside for 2024 and beyond. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 174RBTP183: The Rams' 2023-2024 Gambling Guide, Roster Updates & more
The Rams' 2023 season feels like a gamble in its own. They're going to roster a boat load of rookies/undrafted free agents and expect their players who've been in the system for 2-3 years to step up significantly. Vegas only has the Rams listed as favorites in 5 of their 17 games regular season games, and two of them are against the Cardinals. But what about the following: Rams to make the Playoffs? Aaron Donald to win his 4th DPOY, making him the only player in league history to do so? Cooper Kupp to lead the league in receiving yards? How about the odds on MVP of the league: and where does Matthew Stafford sit? All included in the latest. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 173RBTP182: Full Analysis of the Rams' 2023 Schedule Release + Opponent Previews
The Rams' 2023 schedule was released yesterday, and it's considered to be somewhat difficult after the Rams finished in 3rd place in the NFC West last season. 4 of their first 5 matchups are against playoff teams and are only slated to play in two prime time games, which is the same amount as: Carolina, Tampa, Cleveland and Tennessee. We took the time to go through each opponent, inclusive of their performance in 2022, how they've managed so far in free agency/the 2023 draft, and their expected win/loss totals. From there, we determined a final record prediction that is most likely dependent on a few balls bouncing our way. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 172RBTP181: Full Analysis of the 2023 Los Angeles Rams' Draft Class + UDFA's
The Rams' 2023 draft class will certainly be one to remember -- even if it's just for the fact that they made a total of 11 picks on Day 3. With a total of 14 picks after trading back four times and trading up once, the Rams came away with some really good value in later rounds, and definitely opted towards finding foundational players/building the roster inside to outside vs. risking top picks on skill players (like they have done in the past). We'll have to see how some of these players look once they're on the field with Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp, but we have a lot of confidence in their methodology for this draft specifically, and believe a handful of these players will be legitimate contributors in the very near future. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 171RBTP180: 10-minute FINAL 2023 Rams Mock Draft (Mock Draft 3.0)
Our 3rd and final mock draft is LIVE with only 2 days left before the #nfldraft! We came away with 13 total players after trading back with the Carolina Panthers to get into the 4th round and stockpile more later round picks, featuring big names like: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Tank Dell and Payne Durham. With this being the final mock, we tried to compile a mix of players that would check off BOTH boxes, coming off our latest episode where we featured both the Shiny Toy and Future Core draft methodologies. Knowing the Rams, a trade back and focus on offensive skills players are almost a given. But, what else will they end up doing that nobody is expecting? Link to the big board, follow along with us this weekend! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 170RBTP179: Allen Robinson TRADED, Ramsey's deleted tweet and Mock Draft 2.0: "Shiny Toy" vs. "Future Core"
Allen Robinson was traded earlier this week and the Rams will take on a majority of his salary for next year and only a 7th-round pick swap in return. It's considered to be a really bad free agent signing (OTC calls it one of the worst) and then, a day later, we find out Jalen Ramsey would've re-structured his deal with the Rams (per a deleted tweet of his). Additionally, with the 2023 NFL Draft only a week away, we dug into the big board and produced TWO mock drafts, one of which is called "Shiny Toy" (heavily focused on offensive skill players early) and the other is "Future Core", which is focused on building a sustainable roster with talent at multiple positions (moving away from the top-heavy methodology). We believe we'll get some mix of both. Follow along on our Rams Big Board for more #nfldraft updates: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k5KQkuGp-Wl5rxRIy9gb3Czficax_u89Fw6U2zAyqQ8/edit#gid=0 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 169RBTP178: Rams Mock Draft 1.0 - Priorities on Defense, Offensive Line and Skill Players
Our very first mock draft(s) are live within this episode, featuring what we know about who the Rams have already met with (either virtually or in-person) and how the Rams should go about prioritizing as they're working their way through the draft board. We also put together some hypothetical trades that we could see before/during the draft which could bridge the Rams' rather large draft gap in between picks 77 and 167. With only 17 days to go until the draft, the Rams really have to start focusing in on who it is they want to take, and if/when that specific player will be available once they make their selection! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 168RBTP177: The Rams really need to CRUSH the 2023 Draft, adding to the BIG BOARD and more LATE-ROUND STEALS
The Rams are in a solid position when it comes to setting themselves up for 2024. But where does that leave them in 2023? Well, for starters, they need to really execute on the upcoming draft. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being overly prepared, flooding your big board with talent and drafting players that can help mold the state of your franchise for the next 4+ years. Additionally, as this big board continues to be carved out, there are a really good amount of late round steals that the Rams could execute on if they play their cards right late in the draft. And in that situation, with the experience they have: we have all the trust in the world. Well, at least for right now. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 167RBTP176: The 2023 NFL Draft Big Board 1.0 (Rams Brothers Edition) HAS ARRIVED!
Your suggestions were heard via Twitter, and we listened (for the most part). As a result, a Rams Brothers Big Board was born -- the first ever of its kind, and it's packed with insight. Once the two of us really started putting our heads together and started taking into consideration how many defensive players the Rams have recently lost, coupled with players they've already had a chance to meet with and some of the other characteristics they like to focus on in the draft, the board started coming together fairly quickly. And with that, we pieced together a long list of players that we'd like to see the Rams pursue in rounds 2-7. This "Big Board" is a working file and will continue to be revised over the next 3-4 weeks as we prepare for the 2023 draft: in the meantime, feel free to access and add your insights! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1k5KQkuGp-Wl5rxRIy9gb3Czficax_u89Fw6U2zAyqQ8/edit#gid=0 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 166RBTP175: Kevin Demoff writes a letter to Rams fans, recent Rams FA news/compensatory picks for 2024, prepping for the 2023 NFL Draft
The Rams' front office has been very forthcoming of the Rams' recent transactions. Les Snead addressed the Rams' media team 3 weeks ago to lay out the blueprint for 2023-2025, and Kevin Demoff followed up over the weekend with a letter to all Rams fans, addressing the recent departures, the organizations mentality over the past 6+ years, and their willingness to fight for long-term, sustainable success after winning a Super Bowl in their home stadium. Some believe it's admirable and trust the organizations decision-making, and others are overly cautious of what's to come. Additionally, we cover off on the most recent former Rams who've departed to new organizations, as well as the compensatory pick process and how it affects the 2024 draft. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 165RBTP174: Aaron Donald and the Rams' defense NEEDS HELP in the 2023 NFL Draft, other moves around the NFL
The Rams have lost almost everyone to free agency, with the exception of Coleman Shelton. The others (Matt Gay, Nick Scott, Greg Gaines, Baker Mayfield, Matt Orzech, etc.) have found new homes across the league -- and the Rams aren't financially in a position to bring any of their main defensive talent back in 2023. With that being the case, the Rams need to nail the draft in 2023, with a HEAVY focus on EDGE and interior defensive line. One way to incentivize Aaron Donald to stick around (outside of the $60MM+ the Rams owe him over the next two years) is to surround him with young talent. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 164RBTP173: Jourdan Rodrigue joins to discuss the Rams’ 2023 approach, the window they’re opening for 2024/2025 & more!
Jourdan Rodrigue of the Athletic joins the show to discuss all of the Rams’ moving pieces over the last 2 months, as well as their approach moving into 2023 and beyond via the draft and free agency. As it pertains to the offense, is there an update we should expect to hear on Allen Robinson being moved, and is the addition of Hunter Long (plus a very deep TE draft class in 2023) signaling the end of the road for Tyler Higbee? Is the offensive line, made up of shaky depth and late-round draft picks enough to protect Matthew Stafford this year? And flipping to the other side of the ball – is there another team in the league who’s going to be dealing with this much defensive turnover? All of the latest Rams news is right here! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 163RBTP172: Jalen Ramsey traded, others likely to cut/traded as the Rams prepare for 2024-2025 & who IS Hunter Long?
Jalen Ramsey has finally been traded after 3 weeks of drama for a 3rd round pick and Hunter Long, as the Rams prepare for their roster re-model in 2024-2025. Ramsey won't be the last of their moves prior to the league year beginning -- look for players like Tyler Higbee and Allen Robinson to be either traded or released in the coming days as the Rams need to create roughly $10M in cap space before Wednesday of this week. Whether you're a Hunter Long fan or not, you have to find a way to be confident in the Rams' process and intent towards building a sustainable roster with less top-heavy contracts and a boat load of picks over the next few years. Little did we know that Sean McVay retiring would've led to a full-on organizational re-build. Which I don't think any of us were mentally prepared for. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 162RBTP171: Matthew Stafford isn't going anywhere, how the Rams are planning to re-model in 2023 and beyond
De-funking the Matthew Stafford trade rumors with a Les Snead press conference was exactly what us Rams fans needed to hear today. Not only was Matthew Stafford the center of Michael Lombardi's discussion on the Pat McAfee show this morning, but he was claiming that the Rams themselves were reaching out to see if they could trade Stafford. While Snead proved that to be true, he mentioned there are many teams around the league calling them to see what their plan is with their roster. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford was rumored earlier this week to be retiring, and having Tommy John surgery on his elbow. Don't believe everything you read on Twitter, kids! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 161RBTP170: Allen Robinson, Leonard Floyd on their way out? How will the Rams continue to "re-tool" the roster?
Allen Robinson and Leonard Floyd were given permission to seek trades, as of this morning. Leonard Floyd was also told if a trade can't be made prior to the league year, the Rams will be releasing him to save on the 2023 cap. Although the salary cap increased over the past year, the Rams have some immensely difficult decisions to make: across free agency, and across their own roster BEFORE the league year begins on March 15th. How will they do it, and what are some moves that feel like they're bound to happen in time? They've certainly cut their losses and made some really tough decisions in years prior -- but this year, they really have their work cut out for them. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 160RBTP169: Is Jalen Ramsey on his way out of Los Angeles? Re-visiting some of the biggest blockbuster trades in NFL history
The Jalen Ramsey trade rumors are CONTINUING to circulate, and it's starting to feel real. Based on Ramsey's IG post today (drawing comparisons to Iverson's final days in Philadelphia) and the comments Ian Rapoport made on Pat McAfee's show today, the reports are very conflicting thus far. We take you through what a trade featuring Jalen Ramsey may look like by going back over the last 30-40 years and reviewing some of the biggest trades in NFL history. If the Rams are going to deal Ramsey, it has to be for a massive return, and an opportunity for the Rams to "re-tool" their core/roster. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 159RBTP168: Bobby Wagner and the Rams decide to part ways, chances of a Robert Woods reunion in LA, nearing end of the staff build
The Rams and Bobby Wagner have mutually decided to part ways, in effort to provide Wagner with a full offseason in pursuit of his next destination. There are a few places that may be a fit for Wagner, but cutting ties really begs a much deeper question: how important is the middle linebacker position in today's NFL? Additionally, we dive into the potential for Robert Woods to come back to Los Angeles, and look at proven LT's who've been recently released to get a better understanding of IF the Rams should eventually look to upgrade the position that protects Matthew Stafford's blindside. All of that, plus some detail on when the Rams expect to finalize their coaching staff. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 158RBTP167: Rams 2023 Unrestricted Free Agents - who should stay, who should go & who else are we looking at?
The Rams have until March 15th (roughly 2.5 weeks) to decide on which unrestricted free agents they're planning on having return for the 2023-2024 season, and there are roughly 5 or so that we'd plan on prioritizing. The others will either be commanding plenty of $$ in free agency, or just haven't produced enough in their time with the Rams. Additionally, we look at the other unrestricted free agents throughout the league, and what position groups need the most help -- are the Rams in-business to make another huge free agency splash at a key position of need? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 157RBTP166: Jalen Ramsey trade rumors circulating, Aubrey Pleasant hired as Rams DB coach/pass game coordinator
The Jalen Ramsey trade rumors are starting to circulate -- but do we believe any of it to actually be true? Based on Kevin Demoff's most recent remarks, it seems the Rams may start thinking about moving Ramsey in the right situation. Additionally, we list three names that we really would like the Rams to bring on (Aubrey Pleasant being one) to help round out the coaching staff, and why Sean McVay's 6-year ride has been made increasingly difficult because of all the coaches that have been a) poached, or b) asked to leave on their own terms. Ep 156RBTP165: Raheem Morris is STAYING with the Rams, Super Bowl LVII Recap & next year's Super Bowl odds
After hearing the news that Shane Steichen is expected to finalize his deal as the next head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Rams fans can rejoice over the fact that their favorite defensive coordinator (Raheem Morris) is staying put. We also recapped the Super Bowl, what makes the Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes duo so great, why the Eagles and Jalen Hurts are destined to return (and put on the best show fans could ask for) and looked at the upcoming Super Bowl odds for next season to see where the Rams are sitting. Ep 155RBTP164: Rams hire OL Coach Ryan Wendell, the frontrunner for the ST Coordinator job, the 2023 jersey/helmet release, Nick's Super Bowl Picks
Rams hire OL coach Ryan Wendell from the Buffalo Bills, who spent his entire playing career with the New England Patriots. Now, the Rams are staffed up with two names who are familiar with the "Belichickian way" in Nick Caley and Ryan Wendell, and an offensive coordinator in Mike LaFleur who is very familiar with Kyle Shanahan and his system. The offensive staff is coming together, but where does that leave our defensive coordinator, who is being held hostage by Jim Irsay and the Colts, and our special teams coordinator? Additionally, we look at potential options for the new jersey/helmet combo in 2023, and lock in our picks for the Super Bowl. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 154RBTP163: Rams hire TE coach Nick Caley, Eyeing John Benton from NYJ & why losing Raheem Morris would really HURT
The Rams narrowed in on Nick Caley from New England, where he has 7 years of experience coaching TE's, FB's, and will act as an assistant to Sean McVay (which is similar to how Sean rose to be a top head coaching candidate). They're also looking at adding John Benton, who has coached in the NFL for over 20 years, and actually started his professional coaching career with the St. Louis Rams, coaching guys like Orlando Pace and Kyle Turley. Years later, he could be coming back to the Rams. Additionally, we dive into the handful of reasons why it would really hurt to lose Raheem Morris at this point, and go through the poll that was casted on Twitter -- leaving the option for fans to vote if they wanted him back or not. Ep 153RBTP162: Coaching changes impacting the Rams, re-tooling the Offensive Line & building the next winning phase
Coaching changes around the league and how they're impacting the Rams (focused on Raheem Morris and where we think he'll end up), figuring out a way to re-tool our offensive line (and comparing to the way the Chiefs overhauled their unit upfront after the 2021 Super Bowl loss), and how the Rams are going to build their next phase of winning with a re-vamped offense under McVay/LaFleur. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 152RBTP161: The search continues to fill McVay's staff, SF's next move at QB, NFC and AFC Championship Recap
The Rams’ coordinator search is continuing – as plenty of moves around the league are being made. We have our eyes on Raheem Morris’ next potential move, as he seems to be one of the favorites for the Colts’ HC position. Ejiro Evero is another name we’ve continued to watch, as he continues to be requested for interviews as a head coach. Outside of that, the Rams have to fill their special teams coordinator role, as well as their offensive line coach – which are two jobs that are going to matter immensely down the stretch. We also took some time to recap the AFC & NFC Championships, as we sat back and enjoyed the pain that San Francisco (and their fans) had to endure in Philadelphia. The Super Bowl is without a doubt going to be fun to watch – and will be an opportunity to keep “Nick’s Picks” alive and well, as they’ve been on fire recently. Ep 151RBTP160: Narrowing in on TWO coordinators to join Sean McVay's coaching staff & Nick's Championship Picks!
There is a ton of speculation circulating around Mike LaFleur, the former Jets offensive coordinator, potentially joining the Rams' staff. Because it seems so likely (and the perfect match overall), we dug into what our offense may look like after installing some of LaFleur & Shanahan's philosophies. On the defensive side of the ball, we explore what the world might look like if Raheem Morris becomes the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, while Ejiro Evero comes back to Los Angeles and joins forces (again) with Sean McVay, but in the DC role. Additionally, we previewed championship weekends and provided our LOCKS for each game in "Nick's Championship Picks". Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 150RBTP159: Rams "re-tooling" process has begun, Big UFA's to focus on/positions to upgrade, Recapping the Divisional Round & more
The Rams' re-tooling process has already begun, with general manager Les Snead addressing some of the big vacancies that the Rams will inevitably have on the staff, as well as on the actual roster. Outside of recapping all of the divisional games, we addressed the pain the Rams' players & coaches must be feeling after watching SF go back to another conference championship game, while everyone is watching from home. The Rams can find a few UFA's, re-sign a few key players, bulk-up the depth on the offensive line and be right back in the driver's seat in no time... it just has to happen. And in time, we very much believe it will. Nothing seems to be off the table with this group -- and the fact that the core is still intact speaks to the lengths they'll go to re-create magic. Ep 149RBTP158: Sean McVay's coaching search continues, Why Morris should be appreciated, UFA's to focus on, Upcoming 2023 Draft Picks, Nick's Picks (Divisional Round Special)
Starting off with the divisional round preview (Nick's Picks), then diving into Sean McVay's continued coordinator search, which has now expanded into a position-group coaching search as the following have not been asked to re-join the staff next year: OL coach Kevin Carberry, Special Teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis, DB Coach Jonathan Cooley, Assistant DL Skyler Jones and Defensive Assistant Lance Schulters will not be returning, per source. We evaluate who could fill those roles, take another look at the upcoming UFA class, and the Rams' upcoming 10 draft picks in the 2023 draft (including compensatory picks), per Les Snead. Ep 148RBTP157: Sean McVay's Coaching Search Continues, Unrestricted Free Agents, Wildcard Weekend Recap & more!
Wildcard Weekend is almost wrapped up - kicked off with a full weekend recap on the 5 games that were played across Saturday & Sunday. Then, we dug into Sean McVay and the really interesting decisions he has to make when it comes to his coaching staff, whether it pertains to current staff members like Zac Robinson and Thomas Brown, or outside candidates to fill the offensive coordinator role, like Mike LaFleur, Frank Reich, Brian Johnson, Scott Turner & others. Additionally, if Raheem Morris leaves to become a head coach, that will leave a second coordinator job up for the grabs, and a few familiar faces may be in play. From there, we transitioned to Baker Mayfield and the unrestricted free agent class, comparable contracts, and who we'd potentially prioritize when the league year starts on March 15th. Ep 147RBTP156: Sean McVay is BACK as the Rams' Head Coach, Offensive and Defensive Coordinator Potential Replacements, Nick's Picks (Wildcard Weekend Special)
After a very confusing 48 hours or so -- Rams fans were at peace when we heard the news that Sean McVay would be coming back as the Rams' head coach. He made this announcement 24 hours AFTER permitting his assistants to seek other job opportunities, and is now working to replace the members that he is (pre-emptively) going to lose. Additionally, we look into potential replacements at Offensive Coordinator with Liam Coen on the run back to Kentucky with names like Frank Reich, Mike LaFleur and Kliff Kingsbury, and replacements at Defensive Coordinator if Raheem Morris is poached by a different team to be the head coach. For Nick's Picks this weekend, we dug into each Wild Card round match-up and selected our winners of the week, also. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 146RBTP155: Rams vs. Seahawks Recap, Ramsey, Wagner & the defense impressed, Sean McVay's next career move
The Rams fell 19-16 to the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle, ending their season with a 5-12 record and a TON of questions heading into the offseason. While a lot of younger players certainly stepped up in hopes to be along for the ride next year (Quentin Lake, Russ Yeast, Ernest Brown, etc.), there are a handful of veterans who have a very uncertain future. Aaron Donald, in particular, seems to be the one player who's linked to the core that still seems very undecided about playing next year. In the coach's room, Sean McVay and the Rams have a massive decision to make about Sean's future with the team. He's dealt with adversities in his personal life along with in his career that has led to a very exhausting existence. All in all - we want to know McVay isn't completely burnt out and is capable of coming back to coach. But first, he'll take a very long and well-deserved vacation to think it all through. He mentioned many times in his presser that "he's never been in this situation before", but very much believes he's not done coaching in this league. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 145RBTP154: Rams vs. Seahawks Preview, Bobby Wagner's Redemption Game, Sending Goff & the Lions to the Playoffs, McVay's potential career change, Nick's Picks
Rams vs. Seahawks is always a must-watch game. There always seems to be SOMETHING on the line, even if one of the two teams are completely eliminated from playoff contention. This one is particularly interesting, because the Rams can simultaneously do the following things with a victory in Seattle: keep the Seahawks OUT of the playoffs, and potentially send Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions to the playoffs IF they're able to take down the Packers in Green Bay. Eyes will be focused on players named Bobby Wagner, Jalen Ramsey, Cam Akers, Baker Mayfield, Geno Smith, Kenneth Walker, D.K. Metcalf, Tariq Woolen and a handful of others. Additionally, we discuss Sean McVay's (potential) career change, our betting record through the season, and Nick's picks closes us out with his locks for the weekend. Ep 144RBTP153: Rams vs. Chargers Recap, Cam Akers' Resurgence, Defensive Inefficiencies, Chargers' Perfect Game
After a short break, we're back to cover the Rams' 31-10 loss at SoFi Stadium (considered an away game for the Rams), which now brings them to 5-11 on the 2022-2023 season. It's the most losses by a defending Super Bowl champ in NFL history, while the Chargers improve to 10-6. But does it have the same feeling of a normal 5-11 season? To us, the priority at this point is putting together a legitimately competitive group, while still evaluating some of the younger players to see what they're capable of for next year. At the same time, there's still reason to be critical of the schematic side (especially defensively) - and how the Rams' final game of the season can impact the NFC playoff picture. Ep 143RBTP152: Rams vs. Packers Full Game Preview, Look of Rams' Offense after more Baker time, Rodgers' Future, Packers' Defensive Inefficiencies & Nick's Picks
The Rams have to travel to Lambeau Field this upcoming Monday night to play the 5-8 Packers in what's expected to be the Rams' coldest game since 1992. When weather plays a factor and both teams are trending in the wrong direction, what are some of the elements that help propel you to a victory? Smart coaching, winning at the line of scrimmage, a solid commitment to the run game and a little bit of what we saw with Jared Goff in 2017 & 2018 (schematically). Keep the gameplan simplified, capitalize on where the Packers are weak defensively, and bring them down into the depth of no postseason with us. Nick's picks are coming off a tough week, but had a shirt made in honor of his segment (that he shows off) and feels confident in this weekend's slate of games. Ep 142RBTP151: Rams vs. Raiders Full Game Recap, Baker Mayfield's Heroic Debut, Raiders have the worst coach in the NFL, Nick's Picks
The Rams defeated the Raiders in dramatic fashion in SoFi Stadium last night, 17-16. It wasn't only Baker Mayfield's debut... but it was his debut after getting claimed 48 hours prior by Sean McVay and the Rams. In miraculous fashion (and after only putting up 3 points in the first half) the Rams' offense began clicking halfway through the fourth quarter and the Raheem Morris' defense simultaneously decided to play the best form of complementary football possible - while only allowing 67 yards in total in the second half. In one of the more thrilling games we've seen all season, it was the Rams who came away on top - and it was equality in part due to Josh McDaniels' coaching style down the stretch. Only one way to define it: "scared". The Rams meanwhile took plenty of risks - and they all paid off. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
