Ep 141RBTP150: Rams vs. Seahawks Full Game Recap, Players who Outperformed Expectations, TNF Raiders Preview & #MondayPain
The Seahawks beat the Rams, 27-23 and improve to 7-5 while the Rams drop to 3-9 and have lost 6-straight games, which is the worst start for a reigning Super Bowl champion in NFL history. The Rams now have to do some continued digging and look at their current roster to see how they're going to approach the offseason. While a handful of players outperformed our expectations, the end result wasn't what we wanted to see (after being in position to win), but there were some signs of life on both sides of the ball. #MondayPain is continued & we sneak in a Raiders preview as well on a short week. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 140RBTP149: Rams vs. Seahawks Game Preview, Geno Smith's "Historic" Season, Commit to the run and win with Perkins & Nick's Picks
The Rams are back at home this weekend to face a familiar foe in the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are struggling, too, after failing (in Munich) to beat Brady, resting for a bye week, then losing a tough game in overtime to Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders. But that three-week stretch is nothing compared to the Rams' 5-game losing streak they're currently battling against, and another winless November's in consecutive seasons. HOWEVER, it very much feels like Seattle's defense against the run (and defense in general) is suspect and taking away Geno's favorite weapons on third down could be a recipe for a Rams victory. Also, Nick's Picks chooses another handful of winners for this weekend after going 3-0 on Thanksgiving and 4-0 on the weekend. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 139RBTP148: Rams vs. Chiefs Game Recap, top players to watch develop, who could leave the core, #MondayPain
The Rams' recent struggles aren't a huge surprise to #rams fans, knowing how decimated they've been by injuries. But to lose 5-straight and fall to 3-8 after winning the Super Bowl is a massive fall from grace. We dug into how the Rams' core can stay intact, players we've been watching closely to see if they can cut it on next year's roster and featured 5 fans on the new weekly segment of #MondayPain. #podcast #nfl Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 138RBTP147: Rams vs. Saints Game Recap, Keeping the core together, Stafford's concussion situation, #MondayPain & Nick's Thanksgiving picks!
Plenty to unpack after another loss against the Saints, as the Rams now drop to 3-7 on the season. With Matthew Stafford now dealing with multiple concussions in a three-week span, it seems the Rams' season is fading quickly. There's plenty to watch for, though: specifically looking for a large handful of players to show they belong on the roster for next year. We also discuss what the potential pitch would sound like to keep the core intact, we go through the contributions from the fans on #MondayPain, go through Nick's Pick's of the Week (for Thanksgiving), and preview the Chiefs match-up next weekend. Ep 137RBTP146: Rams vs. Saints Preview, Cooper Kupp's Replacement, Rams/Saints Freefalling Equally, Nick's Picks
The Rams travel to New Orleans this weekend to play the Saints -- in a game that both teams need to win desperately. The Saints seem like they're in complete disarray after their loss to Pittsburgh, but the Rams have lost 5 out of the last 6 games and are freefalling in a very similar fashion. The important questions are: who's going to replace Cooper Kupp, how will the offensive line hold up, and will people still be blaming the defense if the offense is incapable of moving the ball? Luckily (as we mentioned before) -- the Saints are dealing with ALL of the same problems. Who comes away with a win this weekend? We're both leaning towards the Rams. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 136RBTP145: Rams vs. Cardinals Full Game Recap, Cooper Kupp's injury, Why the Rams' massive SB hangover is continuing, #MondayPain
There's no question about it - the Rams are struggling mightily. In a game that didn't feature Matthew Stafford or Kyler Murray, the Rams managed to put 17-points on the board (7 of which were in garbage time) and lost their most important offensive weapon in Cooper due to an awful throw by John Wolford, and a questionable hit by Marco Wilson. In the 27-17 loss to Arizona, the Rams' offense (once again) looked like a shell of what it once was, and it's obvious that they need a massive overhaul going into next season in order to keep the window any sorts of open. There are too many pieces (moving in the wrong direction) for the Rams to fix their issues immediately -- it's going to require a deep evaluation from some of the best, and most proven guys in the business. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 135RBTP144: Rams vs. Cardinals Full Game Preview, Stafford/Kyler Injuries, Rams' Offensive Re-Vamped, Cardinals' Struggling Defense & Nick's Picks!
The Cardinals (3-6) are traveling to SoFi Stadium to face the 3-5 Rams on Sunday. Many would argue that the whole season (for both teams) comes down to this game, and both may be without their starting QB's. The Cardinals are coming off a really tough back-to-back losses to the Vikings, and then the Seahawks this past weekend, and have lost 4 of their last 5 -- which means they're as desperate and as hungry as ever to beat up on the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. We dig into the injuries on both sides (and potential impact), why we wish McVay drafted and developed a QB over the past couple of years, how the Rams' offense could potentially simplify the gameplan and win by keeping the ball on the ground, the Cardinals' defense without Budda Baker -- and we jump around the league for Nick's Picks of the week (featuring a NEW theme song). Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 134RBTP143: Rams vs. Buccaneers Full Game Recap, Offensive Struggles Continue, #MondayPain
The Rams' struggles continue as they drop another game on the road to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 16-13. Record is now 3-5, and we're all forced to ask ourselves as fans - what's next for this team? In this episode, we dig into the Rams' stale, inconsistent and frankly boring offense (which is now ranked dead last in the league) and the "bend don't break" defense that seems to be criticized more than it should be - based on how McVay's offense has been recently performing. How do you get out of this mess, and what changes between now and the matchup with Kliff Kingsbury's Cardinals next weekend? Also, a brand-new segment called #MondayPain with 5 great listeners. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 133RBTP142: Rams vs. Buccaneers Preview, Tom Brady's Digression, Cam Akers' Return
The Rams are currently 3-4 and are heading into Raymond James Stadium to face-off against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. The Bucs are coming off a 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and are currently 1-3 at home and Tom Brady is coming off his first 3-game losing streak in 20 years. Is this a good sign for a struggling Rams team, who was dead silent during the deadline? We think so. That, plus the latest on Cam Akers re-joining the team, additional moves around the league and Nick's Picks (with a new theme)... Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 132RBTP141: Rams vs. 49ers Recap, highlights + key mistakes, roster turnover and #OverreactionMonday
The Rams fell short in their home stadium in what was their second chance this regular season to beat the 49ers. In a situation that we believed was plenty winnable (with the 49ers dealing with a handful of injuries) - the Rams squandered away a 14-10 lead and ended up allowing 21 unanswered points in the second half of this game. We discuss some of the key moments that could've swung momentum in our favor: Ramsey's forced fumble, Higbee's drop, etc., as well as how we underestimated the severity of our roster turnover and overestimated out ability to out-scheme our biggest rival. Additionally, we welcome a new segment called "Overreaction Monday" where fans commented in, we read their tweets and see if their reaction was justified. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 131RBTP140: Rams vs. 49ers Preview, Game Plan with Allen + Jefferson Back From Injury, 49ers' Vulnerabilities And Nick's Picks
The Rams are hosting the 49ers in SoFi Stadium this weekend, as they get ready to face off against their biggest rival for the second time in less than a month. There's no doubt that the Rams have come off their bye week much healthier, as the 49ers are currently struggling with injuries to some key players on both sides of the ball. We get into how the Rams could potentially set themselves up for victory in this game (hint, don't completely abandon the run early) and utilize the pieces that were missing in the first match-up against these two teams. Both teams enter the week with .500 records or below, but this is a game that will identify weaknesses for the Rams, and how they can go about handling the trade deadline on November 2nd. If they can figure out a way to win AND identify where they need help for the rest of the season, that's a big week for our squad. Oh, and Nick's Picks has his new (and best) theme song tee'd up for this episode. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 130RBTP139: Bye Week Special, News/latest odds on OBJ, Akers, McCaffrey, Burns (and more) + Nick's Picks of the Week
The Rams are on a bye week, but that didn't stop us from speculating trade scenarios around the league, and how they could potentially unfold to benefit the Rams. The latest odds/news on Odell Beckham Jr., Cam Akers, Melvin Gordon, Christian McCaffrey, Brian Burns, Robert Quinn, Bradley Chubb and any other potential trade scenarios that could happen before the trade deadline. The Rams may only be a few pieces away from putting the puzzle together again, so we spent some time speculating and staying optimistic prior to prepping for 49ers week. Additionally, Nick's picks has a new theme song, and helps you select your winners for the week. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 129RBTP138: Rams vs. Panthers Recap, Getting healthy into the bye week, Potential adds to the roster
The Rams defeated the Carolina Panthers, 24-10 in SoFi Stadium to snap their two-game losing skid against San Francisco and Dallas. Going into the half losing 10-7, Rams fans were boo'ing the Rams as they jogged into the home tunnel. There was a lot of animosity, based on the fans' expectations of this team coming off a Super Bowl victory. But after the half, the Rams' offense adjusted and came out firing with a complimentary and evenly dispersed effort by Matthew Stafford & the Rams' receiving core. The defense allowed their lowest point total (3) since 2017. The pieces are starting to come together a bit while starters who were injured are getting an extra week to rest-up for 49ers week. Are the Rams a finished product at this point in the season? Not even close. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 128RBTP137: Rams vs. Panthers Preview, Hekker & Corbett's reunion, how to get back to 3-3
The Rams are currently 2-3, with the Panthers looming on Sunday. We preview the 1-4 Carolina Panthers, who've just lost their head coach and (seemingly) their starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield. Long behold, their interim head coach (Steve Wilks) has been around quite some time, and there's plenty of reasons to get behind P.J. Walker, who we've seen play well in this league before. If the Rams can attack the left side of the offensive line and keep Walker uncomfortable, they may find themselves back in the win column. It's difficult to sustain a legitimate pass rush when each of the two quarterbacks you've faced get rid of the football in 2.5 seconds, but this one's a bit different. Ep 127RBTP136: Rams vs. Cowboys Recap, Offensive struggles continue, what to expect next from McVay & Snead
The Rams have dropped their second straight game -- this time to the Dallas Cowboys, who seemingly had something to prove defensively all game. They knew there was a major weakness upfront (due to a boatload of injuries), and they immediately took advantage. Outside of additional offensive line help, it's fair to start questioning some of the play calls, player usage and schemes, considering how badly bruised this team is upfront. Their offense was forced to change, but at times -- it still tries to revert back to what it once was last year. There's a major identity crisis going on, and it's one that we believe McVay and Snead are willing to solve (with a little help from their "friends"). Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 126RBTP135: Rams vs. Cowboys Preview, slowing down the Cowboys' defense, offensive scheme adjustments
Full Cowboys game preview is live, starting with the Cowboys' offense (lead by Cooper Rush). If the Rams are able to implement the same type of defensive gameplan the 49ers used against us (allowing Kupp to get his and limiting others), does the offense have enough to win this game and get back to a winning record? Cowboys fans are calling their defense this year: "the best they've ever seen", and with the amount of star-power and speed they have, it may cause issues for the Rams' offense. Creative ways to get the offense jumpstarted is necessary (with limited personnel upfront), but suggestions are to be had in this episode. Nick's Picks also lists off his three weekly winners and his lock of the week to try and win us all some cash. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 125RBTP134: Full Rams @ 49ers Recap, the Missing Pieces, Injuries Upfront & more
The banged-up Rams didn't fare well against the 49ers in their home stadium for the long-awaited NFC Championship rematch, as they were defeated 24-9. With three legitimate opportunities to score in the redzone, the offense wasn't sharp enough to convert and made a crucial mistake down the stretch on telegraphed screen to Cooper Kupp. The defense did what they could, considering defense back depth was hurt and Jimmy G was getting rid of the ball in 2.23 seconds (on average). Aaron Donald finished with 5 tackles and 2 for a loss, but they weren't able to generate any sacks or turnovers in crucial moments. We'll see them again in 4 weeks! Ep 124RBTP133: Rams @ 49ers Preview, Robinson & Wagner's Potential Break-outs, Nick's Picks
The NFC Championship rematch is finally here. The Rams' biggest rival, the 49ers, are hosting them on Monday Night Football - in a game where there are no true implications except ownership over the NFC West, and pride. We take you back to the three match-ups against the 49ers last year, what went wrong in the first two and how the Rams went onto hoist the Lombardi in Los Angeles. Additionally, we'll dig into who the 49ers are throughout the first 3 games of this season, who the Rams have become so far and why we believe this game could resemble a combination of what we saw in last years match-ups. Nick's Picks will also introduce a new theme song and take you through a handful of winners this week, after coming out of last week winning 4 of 5 bets. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 123RBTP132: Rams @ Cardinals Recap, McVay's Offensive Evolution, The Bend Don't Break Scheme
The Rams took care of business against the Arizona Cardinals and improved to 2-1 on the season (and have won 10 of the last 11 match-ups against Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals). McVay's offense continues to evolve and add new layers - specifically in the run game, where we saw players like Cooper Kupp and Ben Skowronek lead the way as blockers, pass catchers and threats to beat you on the ground. Cooper Kupp comes away with his first-career rushing touchdown, and Aaron Donald comes away with his 100th sack. Additionally, we'll dig into the "bend don't break" methodology that Raheem Morris has instilled, and why it worked to perfection against Kyler & Kliff. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 122RBTP131: Rams @ Cardinals Preview, Kyler's Game, Rams' Offensive Evolution & Nick's Picks!
In the latest, we preview the 1-1 Arizona Cardinals, who have lost to the Chiefs in Arizona, 44-21 and miraculously beat the Raiders in overtime, 29-23 (1-1 record). The objective for both teams is to attempt to start fast, and keep your foot on the throttle. The Cardinals have been outscored 40-7 in the first half and opponents have scored on 8 of their first 10 first half possessions. There's a legitimate opportunity for the Los Angeles Rams' "new look" offense to expose Arizona early, and hold on to the lead... IF they can continue to find ways to marry the run & pass game and progressively implement a true run scheme that controls possession/keeps the ball out of the hands of Kyler Murray. Nick's Picks also comes with a brand new theme song, and a fresh slate of WINNERS. Brought to you by Liquid Death. Ep 121RBTP130: Falcons @ Rams Recap, the Good, the Great & the Highly Unusual
The Rams win 31-27 at home in a game that was full of unnecessary stress towards the end. In a full Falcons @ Rams game recap, we'll take you through each series, where we saw improvements, and where there was room to make corrections. The Rams' offense was near perfect in the first half, but the offense and special teams unit made crucial mistakes down the stretch and the defense had to take over when it mattered most. The combination of Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and smart coaching in the last few minutes led to a 1-1 record for the Rams, with the Cardinals on the schedule next weekend. Ep 120RBTP129: Bills @ Rams Recap, Robinson & Akers Usage, Rams' 2nd Half Defense + Ramsey's Comments
Detailing what happened in the Bills @ Rams game, why Matthew Stafford isn't successful when only four pass rushers are getting home, Allen Robinson and Cam Akers' usage, the offensive line woes + their depth that we'll see on display vs. Atlanta. On the other side, we dug into Aaron Donald, the Rams' lack of pressure on the front, Bobby Wagner's debut and Ramsey's post-game comments about focusing on man late in the game vs. zone. Additionally, we looked into how Akers' usage and Ramsey's post-game podcast are examples of why Sean McVay may have to answer some tough questions over the next few weeks. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 119RBTP128: Full Bills @ Rams Preview, Key Matchups to Watch, Nick's Picks of the Week
The season is upon us. J.B. Long said it best in the latest Rams post on social media “Defending champs cling to past glory, while reigning champs dictate the future”. How will the Rams respond to the "Super Bowl Hangover"? Well, we feel like big media is discrediting the Rams, solely based on their roster losses from last year. But when you dig into the detail and preview the match-ups, you start to wonder why there isn't the same kind of talk in Buffalo. With the Bills being the unanimous Super Bowl favorites - isn't the pressure now on them to win in the same house where the Rams live and won Super Bowl LVI? That remains to be seen, but there's plenty of reason why to like the Rams in this game. Nick's Picks also goes through the full slate, and picks out his winners (inclusive of NEW theme music). Ep 117RBTP126: Preseason Debrief #2 — Texans @ Rams
The Rams hosted the Houston Texans last night for their second preseason game. Both the Rams’ offense and defense faced the Texans first-team offense and defense — consisting of players like Davis Mills, Nico Collins, and Obo Okoronkwo. The backup QB controversy continues, but how are other players progressing this preseason — specifically guys like Logan Bruss, Brycen Hopkins, Kendall Blanton, Daniel Hardy, and Lance McCutcheon (to name a few). What we’re seeing from the Rams’ offensive line depth may be troublesome, but they’re certainly making up for it with depth in other areas. Specifically, at defensive back. Today's episode is brought to you by our friends at https://busr.ag! Bet With Confidence! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 116RBTP125: First Preseason Debrief — Rams @ Chargers
The Rams kicked off their season with a preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers. There were a ton of unknowns going into this game, particularly if we were going to see players like John Wolford, or Tutu Atwell on the field. Instead, we got a steady dose of Bryce Perkins, who (when paired with Lance McCutcheon) showed that an incredible play is just right around the corner. Additionally, we dug into the 4 Rams RB's who received carries on Saturday night's game, how rookie Logan Bruss faired in his first-ever live game action, how the rookie DB class rallied around each other and created a solid foundation to build on, why Daniel Hardy has a legitimate chance to earn snaps this season, and so much more. Featuring special guest Ryan Dyrud of LAFB Network! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 115RBTP124: Training Camp Standouts, Bobby Wagner's Impact, Fantasy Outlooks with Sosa Kremenjas
Van Jefferson Injury Update, the WR Room with or without OBJ, the impact of Bobby Wagner + Raheem Morris' comments on the defense holistically, how specific Rams players should be evaluated in this years Fantasy Football draft with Sosa Kremenjas of Underdog Fantasy! Ep 114RBTP123: Cam Akers, Jordan Fuller & Joe Noteboom taking leadership strides, Behind the Grind extras, Roster Health, & Uncle Nick's Gambling Advice
With only two weeks to training camp and 1 month until the Preseason kicks off, we discuss three players in particular that are poised to take massive leaps in the 2022-2023 season. Additionally, we discuss the Rams' training staff (why players are so trusting of them), the Rams' roster health going into training camp, and unsolicited gambling advise from your favorite uncle, Nick. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 113RBTP122: Rams Brothers: Behind-the-scenes on Kupp's Super Bowl MVP honors, Tomlin on Morris, McVay on Goff's departure
Focusing on a behind-the-scenes look on why Cooper Kupp truly deserved Super Bowl MVP honors, Mike Tomlin's latest remarks on why Raheem Morris deserves to be a head coach in this league, Sean McVay's comments as to why he wished he handled the Jared Goff situation differently, the latest on OBJ, and much more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 112RBTP121: 2022 Draft Recap, the Rams Methodology + Scouting Process, Troy Hill Acquisition & More!
The Rams capped off their 2022 draft weekend with 8 total draft picks and a familiar face in Troy Hill. The Rams have made headlines with their unorthodox methodologies: whether it's scouting, the draft house, or their press conferences. They've created a brand that is willing to go against the norm, and it's been met with mixed reviews across the league. We went through all 8 picks, why the Rams deserve more credit than they got for their 2022 draft selections, Troy Hill re-joining the squad, and why the tandem of Sean McVay and Les Snead deserves a closer look (at all times). Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 111RBTP120: Reacting to the Woods trade, Robinson signing, Stafford Extension, Rewinding the Week + More!
The Rams are going through a difficult offseason where they've had to say goodbye to players like: Andrew Whitworth, Robert Woods, Johnny Hekker, Von Miller and Darious Williams. When it comes to the business side of football, though, the Rams seem to be poised to put themselves right back in the drivers seat where they belong. We discuss the full weeks timeline of events (3/14 - 3/20), as well as any other upcoming moves that may be made, the salary cap, and a lot more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 110RBTP119: The Offseason Begins as CHAMPIONS, Von Miller's Next Move, Free Agent Priorities
Los Angeles Rams fans have been enjoying the Super 56 victory, while the Rams' staff is hiring replacements for members who've left, and some of the Rams' players are still deciding their own future in the league. Regardless, it remains business as usual for the Rams, as they're navigating through their next handful of decisions with March 14th (first day of negotiations) quickly approaching. A majority of this episodes focus is on Von Miller's recent social media posts, Aaron Donald's future, and which unrestricted free agents should be prioritized over the next week or so. With the Super Bowl now being in the rearview mirror, this Rams team is primed to repeat, IF they can get themselves off to a good start by re-signing their priority players. All in, PART 2. The Rams are 3 short days away from Super Bowl glory, so we decided to bring one of the biggest Rams fans in the world back onto the show to help us preview the Cincinnati Bengals. While we're concerned over Joe Burrow and the Bengals' receiving core, we've overconfident in our ability to win at the line of scrimmage, and the intelligence that lives within our secondary. The stars seem to be aligning, and all of your favorite storylines are in place. Ep 106RBTP115: SUPER BOWL BOUND! Full Rams vs. 49ers NFC Championship Recap
The Los Angeles Rams finally ended the 49ers season in SoFi Stadium (final score: 20-17, Rams) in one of the most dramatic NFC Championship games of all time. Being able to advance and overcome adversity was important for so many reasons. It ended the doubt we all had about Sean McVay against Kyle Shanahan. The Rams ended up keeping the 49ers away from playing a Super Bowl in their home stadium, while simultaneously keeping them around long enough to kill as many tough opponents along the way. The Rams needed to re-engrain themselves in Los Angeles, and with a potential Super Bowl win looming, it's safe to say that all of our chips are still on the table. The trip to get there, though, is one to never be forgotten. Ep 105RBTP114: NFC CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND! Full Rams vs. 49ers Preview + Nick's Picks
The Rams are hoping that the third time is a charm as they prepare for the 49ers to head into SoFi Stadium on Sunday for the NFC Championship game. Despite going 0-6 over their last six match-ups against the 49ers, Aaron Donald and the Rams feel like they have no other option but to end the team that's given them the toughest time. The story can't possibly write itself better: not only has Matthew Stafford been playing the best football of his career - but Cam Akers is out for redemption, and Sean McVay has every weapon in his arsenal to keep the 49ers defense guessing. We can predict what the 49ers will do offensively, but it'll take an elite effort from the Rams' pass rush, a dedicated effort on the ground from the Rams' offense and some big momentum swings to defeat the team (and coach) that has had our number for three years. Ep 104RBTP113: NFC CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND! Full Rams vs. Buccaneers Recap
The Los Angeles Rams are advancing to the NFC Championship. In the process, they've ended Tom Brady's season, and have presented themselves with an opportunity to host the team that has given them nightmares over the past three seasons. Regardless, this episode was focused on what the Rams were able to accomplish during the most relentless weekend of football the world has ever seen. Not only was Matthew Stafford, Sean McVay, and the Rams' offense prolific (when they weren't coughing the ball up), but the Rams' defensive front (primary Von Miller and Aaron Donald), left Tom Brady with a bloody lip and a ton to think about this offseason. Later this week, we'll be previewing the 49ers with a handful of special guests. Ep 103RBTP112: Divisional Round Special - TB Buccaneers Preview, Nick's Picks
The Rams are coming off an explosive 34-point performance against the Arizona Cardinals that has even convinced some of the talking heads in the national media that the Rams are here to stay. Matthew Stafford had one of his best games of the season in the Wild Card Round, as well as going back to Week 3 of this year, when the Rams broke Tom Brady and the Buccaneers 10-game winning streak (dating back to the year prior). Fast forward to today, and despite the Buccaneers dealing with injuries to key players, there are still plenty of reasons why the Buccaneers could win at home. Regardless, we elaborated on which portion of the Rams' defense Brady will look to expose, and how to end his season properly. Ep 102RBTP111: Arizona Cardinals Wildcard Monday Massacre
The Rams were able to silence a ton of hate on Monday night. Specifically the hate geared towards players like Matthew Stafford, and Odell Beckham Jr., who've never won a playoff game over a combined 21 years. All of the negativity ended in a big way against the Arizona Cardinals, as the Rams exploded to a 34-11 victory at SoFi Stadium. Not only were the Rams dominant when they had the ball offensively, but their defense (specifically their front-7, led by Aaron Donald), was next-level dominant. The game was in control of the Rams from start to finish. Now, they'll look to carry over the momentum into Tampa Bay to give themselves a shot at the NFC Championship. Ep 101RBTP110: Wild Card Weekend with the Arizona Cardinals & Nick's Picks
The Rams were dealing with the very beginning of a COVID outbreak the last time they faced Arizona, and were still able to come away with a win on the road. Without Ramsey, Higbee, Havenstein and Brian Allen, Sean McVay called a game that was led by a true run-first mentality, along with well-timed play action that allowed Stafford to throw touchdowns to his three receivers: Kupp, Beckham and Jefferson. Fast forward to Monday night, and the Rams will be facing off against an Arizona Cardinals team that has to travel back to SoFi Stadium, and has very limited playoff experience. The biggest storylines will be focused on Matthew Stafford and Kyler Murray specifically, but what does Sean McVay have to do in this game to get his quarterback in rhythm, and the Rams back on track for a deep playoff push? The answers lie within this episode. Also, Nick's Picks are coming off of its first undefeated week of the year, and there are a couple of plays that he would love to see you make some money on. Ep 100RBTP109: 49ers Recap, The "Body Bag" Mentality, McVay's Shortcomings
The Rams had an opportunity to end the 5-game losing streak against the 49ers at home, with a chance to lock up the 2-seed in the NFC and win the division simultaneously. A Cardinals loss still allowed the Rams to clinch the NFC West, but this specific loss to the 49ers seemingly shattered any hope of a deep playoff run and extended our losing streak to Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers to 6 games total (3 years of regular season games). While there is still plenty of hope to be had, we'll discuss McVay's conservative playcalling in big moments, Stafford's shortcomings, the interior offensive lines bad day, why the defense doesn't deserve a ton of criticism, and what to expect from the Rams moving forward. Ep 99RBTP108: 49ers Preview: The "Body Bag" Game, Nick's Picks
The Rams are facing a pivotal Week 18 match-up against the 49ers. They've lost 5-straight to Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers, and have an opportunity to win the division/lock up the 2 seed with a win on Sunday. With home field advantage and plenty of momentum on the line, the Rams will have to flip the 49ers' game plan on their head, and prove to themselves that they can put their biggest division rival away. Additionally, we'll discuss 5 reasons why the Rams are in a better situation to beat the 49ers (opposed to when they faced them in November), specific match-ups to watch, what to expect from the Rams' defense, and Nick's picks of the week! Ep 98RBTP107: Baltimore Ravens Recap, NFC Playoff Scenarios, The Number "5"
The Rams won their 5th game in a row at M&T Bank Stadium this past Sunday, improving to 12-4 over a now 8-8 Lamar Jackson-less Ravens team that was fighting for their playoff lives. We were able to make the trip up, enjoyed every second of it (including the time spent meeting fans), and things continue to look up for us Rams fans as we head into a pivotal week 18 match-up against the 49ers. "5" is now the magic number as we look ahead. It’s the amount of times the 49ers have beaten us in a row. It’s the amount of games we’ve won in a row, as well as the current spread (favoring the Rams). 5 is also the number of games that remain if the Rams have true Super Bowl aspirations. In this episode, we discuss some of the big takeaways from the win in Baltimore, Matthew Stafford's tale of two halves, the star-power stepping up in big moments, and dig deeper into potential playoff scenarios and seeding. Ep 97RBTP106: Vikings Recap, Ravens Preview & Nick's Picks!
The Rams are now 11-4 heading into the last two weeks of the season, with the Baltimore Ravens and the always tricky San Francisco 49ers to finish up. They're coming off of a huge road win against the Minnesota Vikings that featured three interceptions by Matthew Stafford, another 100-yard performance from Sony Michel, a punt-return touchdown from Brandon Powell, Travin Howard's resurgence (in the absence of Ernest Jones), and the star-trio of Ramsey-Donald-Miller shined brightly. The month of December was a great month of football from the Rams, and what they were able to overcome (injuries/COVID) is what's considered to be most impressive. As they look ahead to January, their tallest tasks are right around the corner. And the first step is taking care of former-MVP Lamar Jackson in Baltimore this weekend. Ep 96RBTP105: Seahawks Preview, Impact of COVID, Nick's Picks
The Rams play host to the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday night, after a massive COVID outbreak affecting up to 25 Rams players PLUS staff members forced the league to postpone the game from Sunday to Tuesday. While many Seahawks fans believe their team is now at a disadvantage, the Rams have been preparing virtually over the last couple of days and will expect to get a large chunk of players back over the weekend. Regardless, Sean McVay has to make sure his team is prepared, entering a very difficult stretch of games and the NFC West division title on the line. Ep 95RBTP104: Arizona Cardinals Recap, Offensive Evolution, Stars Dominant
The Rams were able to improve to 9-4 last night in a Prime Time win over the top seed in the NFC, the Arizona Cardinals, who’ve now fallen to 10-3. Last night wasn’t just any old win for the 2021 Rams. They’ve now strung together back-to-back wins and have created a brand-new, balanced identity offensively, combined with a dynamic pass rush that's packed with star power, and a young linebacker in the middle who the whole roster seems to trust. December football hasn't always been kind to the Rams and Sean McVay, but even in the midst of a COVID outbreak, they still seem poised and well-coached enough to make a deep playoff run. Ep 94RBTP103: Jaguars Recap, Dissecting McVay's "New" Offense
The Rams hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars, and were able to improve to 8-4 with a brand-new look offensively, and a new star of the show: Sony Michel. Michel was the Rams' first 100-yard rusher this season, and McVay was able to incorporate a more physical approach at the line of scrimmage, which paid dividends for the Rams on both sides of the ball. Dene & Nick dug into the new scheme, and if it's sustainable moving forward. Ep 93RBTP102: Jaguars Game Preview, Deep Dive into McStafford, Raheem Morris' Defense
The Rams will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at SoFi Stadium on Sunday afternoon. With the Rams looking to put the entire month of November behind them, the Jaguars present a unique opportunity that should allow for McVay and Stafford to get back on track. Dene & Nick dig into Sean McVay's tendencies, habits, and play calling ability, the lack of run game, why fans are calling for Raheem Morris to be fired, and the opportunity to improve on Special Teams. Ep 92RBTP101: Green Bay Packers Preview, Nick's Picks
The Rams (7-3) are heading into Green Bay for what feels like a playoff game against the 8-3 Packers. The biggest storylines over the past couple of weeks have been opponents injuries, and the Rams' true identity heading into the back-half of the season. While the injuries the Packers are dealing with are certainly crucial, it's up to Sean McVay and the Rams' offense to come out more prepared than they have in previous weeks, and with a game plan that features a little of what Tennessee and San Francisco did to beat them. While Matthew Stafford has struggled in Prime Time, it'll be very simple for him to to take his foot off the gas, and take what the defense is giving him. If you combine that with an established run game, it'll allow for the Rams to possess the ball longer and will keep the defense rested.
