709 | You Never See Their Actual Wins

In this episode, I wanted to share a message I heard last week and it sparked my thinking. You never actually see a person's wins, you only see what you think their wins are. "When we fail to acknowledge and celebrate small victories, we get discouraged and the flame inside us starts to dwindle." "Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and later, win a little more." "If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time." ~ Louis L'Amour In this episode, we discuss: 1) Never underestimate all the micro-decisions that you make every single day, the nutrition, sleep, mindset and nervous system support, not picking up your phone, choosing something positive to focus on. Life-giving habits that support you and the life you are creating. 2) Are you taking time to celebrate your small wins that happen on a daily basis. When I find myself being harder on myself, over critical, biting comments, I know that I am stepping over or ignoring what I am doing and that is coming from a place of comparison, or feeling like I am not doing enough. 708 | NLP Taught Me That I Always Had the Solution with Fallon Moran

In this episode, we speak with Chief Financial Officer, Fallon Moran. For 4 years from 2019 - 2023, Fallon racked up an incredible amount of high-interest credit card debt totalling $59,221 spending on business coaching and programs to grow her online business. Then in October of 2023, her 15-month-old daughter was seizing in her car seat on the way to the pediatrician's office. Fallon was paying off her debt consistently for the majority of 2023, however after her daughter's febrile seizure, she realized that the frame of mind she took into everything had to change if she was going to be able to change the trajectory of her business and her daughter's life. At the end of 2023, Fallon paid off a total of $25,547 of high-interest credit card debt, and that was her just getting started. Working through her NLP certification, Fallon has realized the importance and priority of putting the inner work first so that it can open doors she would have never thought possible for herself, her family or her business before. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Fallon's journey in the online space over the last 4 years, how she was searching for the answers and solutions outside of herself while racking up a large amount of credit card debt and it took a series of events in 2023 involving her 15-month-old daughter for her to decide that enough was enough. 2) Through incorporating work with her subconscious mind, Fallon has completely re-written her money story, now helps others to uncover the roots of the story, and has now learned how to connect to her own internal representation of the results she wants to feel instead of making decisions out of lack or FOMO. 707 | Cancer Taught Me To Appreciate The Moments with Ray Hartjen

707 | Cancer Taught Me To Appreciate The Moments with Ray Hartjen In this episode, we speak with Writer & Musician, Ray Hartjen. Ray is a writer, musician and songwriter living in Northern California. In a professional career that has spanned parts of five decades, he pivoted on many occasions, from investment banking to pharmaceuticals, from consumer electronics to SaaS software. One constant throughout his career path, however, has been storytelling. A cancer fighter every day of the week that ends in a 'y,' Ray shares his experience and raises funds for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation with his latest book, Me, Myself & My Multiple Myeloma. And, with life's soundtrack playing in his head, Ray also performs and records with his two-piece acoustic band, the Chronic Padres. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Cancer has become Ray's biggest calling and he shares his experience and raises funds for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation in his latest book, Me, Myself & My Myeloma. He has reframed his fight against cancer to focus on what makes life worth living. 2) Cancer taught Ray to not take life for granted, and the power of vulnerability and learning that his story could help others feel less alone in their story too. 706: You Can Tell Your Beliefs by the Words You Speak

In this episode, I wanted to share the quote I came across last week, The Persian poet Hafiz said, "The words we speak become the house we live in." Our words and thoughts are creating our beliefs which are creating our world. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Our words have the power to build people up and give them life or tear people down and bring them death. The words we speak can inspire and encourage others while, in the same sentence, deflating and discouraging ourselves and others. The words you speak become the house you build and the house you live in, it is either a prison or a cage, and both of these examples of how we speak to ourselves and others. 2) Whatever direction your words lead, your mind, body and environment will follow. When we communicate with others and with ourselves internally, we are constructing an imaginary "house". Then, we live in this house and experience life inside it. How we interpret the world around us, and how we perceive our identity comes from the house, or the cage that we have built for ourselves. 705 | How Long Can You Hold The Vision

In this episode, I want to share a few stories about holding the vision and how long you can hold the vision, no one can hold it for you, and no one can see it for you that it will make up for lack of belief in yourself. "Dreams have no limits. Only in our commitment to fulfilling our dreams, do we realize our potential" ~ unknown. In this episode, we discuss: 1) The vision is for you because there is a future version of you who already has this vision, she is already holding it and already celebrating it, it is not an accident or a coincidence. You get to choose what you do with this vision. It is important to hold onto your vision so that you feel how you would feel in the present moment. What do you see, what do you hear, what do you feel when you have what you are holding the vision of? Hold the vision and trust the process 2) Your subconscious mind will always strive to keep you safe and with what is familiar, so if you are striving for something new, expansive, and outside of your comfort zone, then you have to believe that you are safe to have it. For example, holding a program with 2 people when you want 10. 3) Sharing the vision of my husband qualifying for the World's Masters Weightlifting Championship in Finland in September, I have been holding this vision for months, not getting stuck in the how, and focusing on how will it feel, what will I see and hear when we are there. Every morning and night and sometimes multiple times a day. I have anchored it in and I can access that vision easily and effortlessly. Hold the vision and trust the process OUTSPOKEN https://www.marshavanw.com/outspoken2023 ***** BeSpoke 50% Bday Promo https://www.marshavanw.com/offers/kzgzFNBF?coupon_code=FASTACTION50 Marsha Vanwynsberghe — NLP Storytelling Trainer, Author, Speaker, and Podcaster Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of "When She Stopped Asking Why". 704 | Moving From Survivor to Thriver with Erik DaRosa

In this episode, we speak with Founder & CEO, Erik DaRosa. Erik known by friends as "Yoda," is the Founder and CEO of From Survivor to Thriver, a mental health advocate, speaker, author and Co-host of the popular From Survivor to Thriver podcast. Through his work and his own lived experience, Erik is upending the front end of the mental health space and building a bridge between those who seek resources and those who provide both help and hope. Each week on his podcast, he tackles different mental health topics through honest and relatable "kitchen table" conversations with real people who are helping to shatter mental health stigmas and find their voices. He aims to normalize discussions around mental health topics and remind his audience they are not alone, there is strength in community and "it's perfectly ok to not always be ok." In 2011, Erik traded in a successful career as a NYC finance executive when he moved to Colorado with his wife and two cats. Erik spent twelve winters as a ski instructor for the Aspen Skiing Company before retiring in the Spring of 2023. Born and raised in New England, Erik earned his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and his BA in Economics from Brandeis University. He lives in Colorado with his wife Amy and two cats, Lincoln and Taylor. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Erik's story, what it means to move from Survivor to Thriver, how he hid his story from everyone and what it was like to be able to learn how to share it and feel the release of the hold of his story on his life. 2) Erik shared his equilateral triangle of healing and how it needs all 3 components of Western and Eastern medicine and the component of nature and if one of the ends of the triangle collapses it all crashes. 703 | What This Podcast Has Taught Me

In this episode, I want to share some insights from recording over 700 episodes on this show and a combined number of over 1000 episodes between all the shows. In this episode, we discuss: 1) The vision is for you because there is a future version of you who already has this vision, she is already holding it and already celebrating it, it is not an accident or a coincidence. You get to choose what you do with this vision. Don't worry if others can't see it, they weren't supposed to see it, it was given to you, for you to hold onto. More on holding the vision in an upcoming episode. 2) It has reminded me to celebrate the journey, show the ups and downs, and how much of a long game podcasting is, it is the longest-standing thing I have done in my business without being directly paid for it. This podcast has taught me how to harness my voice, authentic voice, and how important our stories are, we're not alone, someone always has it harder than I do and they found a way out and are making a massive difference because of what they learned. 702 | Change the Meaning You Change the Story

In this episode, I want to share our perspective and how when you change the meaning you change the story. In this episode, we discuss: 1) You can't change your story until you change what you think things mean. Perspective creates meaning, meaning creates emotion, and the quality of our life is the quality of our emotions. It's not the events of our life that are the finest it is the meaning that we make or take from them. 2) It's the meaning that we take away from those events that change us, go back to your most difficult experiences and how can you change the meaning of them? What would I need to believe about that event so it could serve me? Not what do I believe, what would I need to believe so that it can serve me? 699 | What Are Your Reasons for Not Starting?

In this episode, I want to talk about the reasons why you are not starting whatever it is that is calling on your heart. Everything is a staircase model, like climbing a mountain. Your new life is going to cost you your old one. It's going to cost you your comfort zone and your sense of direction. It's going to cost you relationships and friends. It's going to cost you being liked and understood. It doesn't matter." ~ Brianna Wiest In this episode, we discuss: 1) Some of the emotions that are most strongly connected with self-sabotaging behaviours are important for us to better understand. It is not about simply 'getting over' them; it is about listening to what they are trying to tell us about our experience. 2) Break it down to the reasons why you are telling yourself you haven't started the thing you want to do yet. Then break it down to the steps that you can start today that will move you closer to where you want to be, and then how can you learn from someone else who's done what you want to do, and how can you find the answers that can help you bring your vision to life? 698 | The Small Wins Are Where Momentum Is Built with Ryan Penley

In this episode, we speak with Author Ryan Penley. With more than four years of hard-won sobriety, Ryan has transformed his life's adversities into valuable lessons for those still struggling with addiction. Today, he lives a life that is unimaginably blessed, exceeding even his own expectations. His debut book, "Man Up. Sober Up.," serves as both a testament to his resilience and a practical guide for those seeking to reclaim control over their lives. More than a survivor, Ryan is a beacon of hope for those still battling their demons. He demonstrates that from the depths of despair, it is indeed possible to forge a life filled with purpose and joy. In this episode, we discuss: 1) How important it is to celebrate the wins even when they seem really simple like 3 minutes of jumping jacks in one day and how that builds momentum to improving your health, continued sobriety and creating longer lasting change in your life. 2) How Ryan spent so much of his life pursuing happiness outside of himself, and how he finally learned it all came from within. 697 | NLP Has Taught Me Compassion

In this episode, we talk about one of the number one lessons I have learned from studying NLP these past 4 years. The tools of NLP, and subconscious reprogramming, these tools have changed how I operate in my life and business over the last 4 years. I don't even recognize myself, and I smile when I see those old versions show up again. Now this is not a slam myself moment, because that is not productive at all. I wanted to share how these tools have made a huge difference in my life and business and maybe you will see yourself in my story. In today's episode, we discuss: 1) NLP, neurolinguistic programming, came into my life around 10 years ago, although I had no idea what it was. Tony Robbins, his work impacted me tremendously years ago when I realized the words I was speaking had power in my life. It officially came into my life 3 years ago when I took my NLP practitioners, signing up while in the hospital trying to figure out how I was going to recover from back surgery. Let's keep this super simple, someone asked me on a recent podcast what the difference NLP brought into my life and business and I decided to visit that question and write it down. 2) Before - I did not trust my voice or my message, and deep down had that perfectionist/people pleaser message on repeat. I pushed super hard, to burnout regularly as though it was a badge of honour, I didn't listen and I was in the constant spiral energy of proving my self-worth. I made my thoughts, my results mean something about me and my self-worth. I believed the limiting beliefs were true and were predicting my success or lack of success. I was on a constant search for more strategy as I was convinced I was missing it and it would help me move my "blocks". Another coach and another program would have the answer I was missing. When you search for or sign up for these things from a space of lack, you will never find what you are looking for. These decisions need to come from a space of empowerment. 696 | Who Are You When You Can't See It Yet

In this episode, we talk about who are you when things are not working out. What changes in your values, your beliefs, your actions, how you take care of yourself, what you do or don't do, and where do you live? This is a spicy one that came up from a conversation with a client who was struggling and I could relate and have been there too. Which means I know that it is relatable! In this episode, we discuss: 1) Life can feel frustrating when we are focusing on what isn't working out, what is going wrong, the mistakes that we have made, and when we are stuck in comparison with everyone else and who is further ahead of us. 2) How can you double down on the things that you can't see yet, lead yourself and be ready so when the opportunities are available you are more than ready to receive them? Put your blinders on and focus on what you need, where you are going and what you will see when you get there. It is the journey of who you are becoming! After suffering through significant life events, she realized developing her curiosity muscle would help in her healing. Further, as a business consultant, she loves repeatable processes and procedures. "I'm known for simplifying the complex." She would tell clients that, ultimately, she was so lazy, that she wanted to find the most efficient and simplistic way to enhance their business systems. She did the same with her emotions and thus was born the premise behind Yucky Yummy Savory Sweet: Understanding the Flavors of Emotions. Here, she poses the question: What if instead of relying on comfort emotions (like comfort food) to get us through the day, we became 5-star Michelin Chefs of our experiences? Her unique approach to emotional awareness and emotional intelligence offers an innovative way to create a connection to our emotions by using something familiar to us, like food. She explores how we experience our emotions from a combination of senses, including what we see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. Her book suggests that just like the developed palate of a chef can distinguish the different flavours in food––we can increase our ability to capture the "flavours" of our emotions by enhancing our awareness of the sense of how we feel inside our bodies. She believes we aren't born with built-in emotional responses for every life event. However, we are born to feel emotions, and the emotion we feel is up to us. In this episode, we discuss: 1) We can become Michelin Chefs of our own experiences by understanding our emotional awareness and emotional intelligence to connect to our emotions by using something familiar to us like food. 2) Kim believes that we aren't born with built-in emotional responses for every life event; we are born to feel emotions and the emotions we feel are up to us. In this episode, we talk about superpowers, limiting beliefs and how they are interconnected. I am inviting you into a new way of thinking, it is not the right way, the only way, is my perspective and I want to share it with you. To determine your superpowers, think about what people come to you for, and check out your past performance reviews. Read the recommendations and testimonials people write for you. What themes emerge? These themes point to your strengths. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Take note of what people say about you. Notice strengths that carry through to different situations. Identify what gives you energy, what lights you up and make it your personal brand. Let that light shine bright, we are great at doing this for others, now it is time to do it for ourselves. 2) What a superpower is and how a limiting belief is blocking you from shining in your full light with your gifts and superpowers. 690 | Board Breaking to Release Your Limiting Beliefs

In this episode, we talk about the board-breaking exercise to release limiting beliefs and take a moment to celebrate how far you've come. Board breaking is a metaphor, an empowering exercise to break through your perceived limitations in your life. I have done this exercise a few times and it looks easy, but it is not. I wanted to share an experience of breaking a board I had in my NLP Master Practitioner over 18 months ago and how it shifted me to release those limiting beliefs. This is a reminder to look back at how far you've come. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Breaking a board starts with modelling and we can learn a lot about someone's behaviour through modelling. This is not copying someone else's behaviour, this is looking at their patterns, behaviours and communication to see how someone else is creating change and then modelling their behaviour. It is also about getting into the state and the power of our state changing our mood, energy and therefore our results. 2) I recently revisited my old board and was shocked to see what I wrote down as the limiting beliefs I held onto so tightly in 2022. 689 | Learning to Navigate When Life Is Rough with Liz Long

In this episode, we are speaking with Author, Liz Long. In 1968, Liz Long's life took a tragic turn when a close family member, Lynda White, went missing, pushing six-year-old Liz into a shitstorm of epic proportions. Five agonizing years later, Lynda's body was discovered. Her case stands as one of Canada's longest unsolved crimes. At fifty-eight, Liz confronted her adult depression by checking into an inpatient treatment center for healing. With unwavering grit and a touch of humor, Liz untangled the complexities of her past, realizing that childhood coping mechanisms were never meant to be permanent. Now, at the forefront of mental health advocacy, Liz shares her journey and introduces the world to "Victimtown" through her book, Navigating Shitstorms: How to Find Your True Path When Life Gets Rough. In this poignant narrative, she creates spaces like The Control Factory, The Guilt & Shame Café, The Denial Trails, and more, inspiring others to confront their own storms, discover resilience within and find their way to Freedomville. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Liz shared her story of the shitty life circle, how we cannot control what happens to us, we can't stop shit from happening, but we can learn how to respond better to what is happening to us, that is where we take our power back and how we move out of Victimtown as Liz calls it. 2) Childhood Coping Mechanisms Are Not Meant to be Permanent: Liz emphasizes the importance of recognizing that the coping mechanisms developed during childhood were adaptive responses to specific situations. However, these strategies might not serve us well in adulthood, and understanding this can be a crucial step toward personal growth and mental health. I recently heard a quote on the Growth Day App with Brendon Bouchard, the link to try it out is below. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Judgments and decisions saturate people's lives. Most people scroll past 1000 posts a day which means you have wired your brain for judgment comparison and contempt 1000 times over on a minimum per day. This is with 1-2 hours of scrolling per day. 2) How can you become more intentional with your time online and what you are consuming and continue to consciously interrupt your subconscious patterns so you do not wire your brain for all of the things that you do not want to wire it for? In this episode, we talk about how important it is to speak your vision to life, focusing on what do you see, what do you hear, what do you feel, and then detaching from how it happens and comes to life. The how is not up to you. I share a personal example of how I blew past my Q1 goals for 2024, even after I almost felt like quitting. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Speak life into where you are going as opposed to where you have been. Feed your energy into your future and what you are creating, and set your goals with who you will be or who you are becoming in the end not who you are today. 2) Don't be afraid to let things incubate until they are ready to be released. 685 | Belief Will Take You Further Than Talent

In this episode, we talk about how belief will take you further than talent. Even more, than this, it requires that you have belief to get started. It is our job to raise our beliefs to match our vision, not just the belief but also the identity of the person who can bring that vision to life. I heard this Henry Ford example, he could have said I can't build cars because if they break down, we have no mechanic shops to fix them, no idea where we will make the tires or the parts to fix them, he could have said: "there's no point in starting." There has to come a moment where you will believe in yourself, and your ability to be resourceful enough to figure it out when you get there. And Mike Tyson's quote, "Everyone has a plan: until they get punched in the face", your plan will only take you so far. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Your job is to raise your beliefs in yourself to match or surpass your vision, and no one can tell you how to do that except practice, trying something, feedback, etc. But what happens when you surround yourself with people who lower your beliefs in yourself? Don't let the underperformers pull you down. 2) We all know lots of athletes with tons of talent and no belief or work ethic. Talent isn't enough, so don't use your belief in yourself for having talent as the reason to start or not to start moving toward your vision. In this episode, we talk about your feelings, your emotions, and what is facts and what is true. Feeling causes thoughts, emotions are unconscious, they occur first, are not facts, In this episode, we discuss: 1) The reality and sensation were a mismatch, the sensations were influenced by an old trauma or a trigger. Your feelings and emotions are coming from your subconscious mind/body and you are reacting to something that may be unrelated to what you are experiencing at the current time. 2) How can you change your words from a statement to a question? A statement is closed, and it signals to your subconscious mind that you are looking for proof so it will respond and find it for you. When you ask a question it is open-ended and your subconscious mind will go looking for possibilities. It will find what it is looking for. This is the basis for NLP, which means living at cause is greater than living at effect. This means we can live as a victim of our life or it's not our fault because x,y,z, or we can say based on our circumstances we choose to do this and live at cause. 2) There is no magic answer, perfect scenario, or solution that is going to fix your situation, but coming back to living at cause will set you up for success in realizing that you have more control in your life than you think you do. 679 | It Will Kick Your Self-Confidence, Not Your Self-Worth

In this episode, we talk about the difference between self-confidence and self-worth, and I am fully supported in this content by the book "Worthy" by Jamie Kern Lima. The content in this book fully supported me as I walked through a very challenging situation in my business. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Your self-worth is your foundation, and self-confidence is the house you build on top of it. Your house will only be as secure as the foundation you build it on. When you have a strong foundation of self-worth, "it can ensure these 3 important things, First that you don't stay stuck because you feel unworthy or not enough to go after them. Secondly, that you don't sabotage your success along the way, and thirdly, that when you do achieve the things you want in your life, you can enjoy them and feel fulfilled in the journey." 2) Your self-worth is independent of what's happening on the outside. It's independent of your strengths and weaknesses. It's independent of your successes and failures. Your self-confidence will fluctuate easily based on what you are experiencing and walking through. Your self-confidence can shatter when you face a painful failure, a setback, or a rejection. 678 | Anxiety Is Draining Your Self-Care Cup

In this episode, we talk about anxiety and how it's affecting your self-care cup. Anxiety is a real thing, especially in the entrepreneurial space. Anxiety is worry about something that hasn't happened yet. "If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present." Lao Tzu In this episode, we discuss: 1) These feelings are amplified as an entrepreneur because it is your responsibility to plan ahead, see what can go wrong or right, and anticipate the things that need to be shifted. It's a lot of responsibility, and it can feel very isolating and scary. Combine that with not enough self-care, how you lead yourself is how your business has the potential to grow. 2) Visualize a cup for me, make it a measuring cup because you can actually see metaphors when you're looking at it and you're thinking of how long am I going to feel anxiety for something that hasn't happened yet, how much energy how much time how much emotion For something that might turn out completely differently OUTSPOKEN Self-belief audio bundle https://www.marshavanw.com/offers/pApGMinw Marsha Vanwynsberghe — NLP Storytelling Trainer, Author, Speaker, and Podcaster Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of "When She Stopped Asking Why". 677 | I Changed My Life With $25.47 and A Dream with John A. Brink

In this episode, we are speaking with CEO, John A. Brink. John A. Brink was born in 1940 in Nazi-occupied Holland during the Second World War. From the time he could walk, his days often consisted of foraging for food with his brother and sister during harsh warlike conditions, surrounded by death and hardship, especially during the hungry winter of 1944/45. John's mother was left to raise her three kids alone when their father was drafted into the Dutch Army. They wouldn't know if he was dead or alive until the liberation of their village, by Canadian soldiers, on April 12, 1945. This was the exact moment when John determined he would one day move to Canada - the land of his heroes. He was only five years old when this decision was rendered. Like many others who lived through that time, John has lived his entire life with the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), resulting from being in a warzone. After serving in the Dutch Air Force for two years, John subsequently emigrated to Canada in July 1965, arriving in Prince George with $25.47 in his pocket. John's other lifelong dream of owning a sawmill came to fruition 10 years later in 1975 with the creation of Brink Forest Products, which has since become North America's leading secondary manufacturer of value-added wood products. At 83, John continues to succeed in his role as President and CEO of the Brink Group of Companies and 10+ other companies. John is the author of three books and the host of the ON THE BRINK Podcast series. He is also a fierce advocate for erasing the stigma surrounding ADHD, something John has lived with his entire life. In his spare time, John enjoys riding dressage, body-building, philanthropy, writing, public speaking, and spending time with his family, wife, and animals. In recognition of John's lifelong achievements, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree by the University of Northern British Columbia. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Inner child healing, how it took decades to learn what this was, and how powerful this work was in impacting John in his life. 2) The topics of PTSD, ADHD, and the power of using our voices to share and heal our stories, and when we do we learn how connected we all are from our stories. John shares his journey as a published author, health enthusiast and his upcoming goals for his health in his 84th year. 675 | An Opportunity To Celebrate And Honour Women

In this episode, we talk about the energy and experience of International Women's Day, and the theme of 2024 is Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress. It is an important day because women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, or political. Now do I wish it was celebrated more often and in other ways, the answer is yes. I have a few thoughts to share on this. In this episode, we discuss: 1) The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. It is an opportunity to celebrate women's accomplishments, highlighting the work that still needs to be done and connecting women from all over the world. 2) I feel like corporations are celebrating this and there's more room for female entrepreneurs to celebrate each other. 674 | Your Voice Goes Further Than You Think with Kristina Coccoluto

In this episode, we speak with Speaker and Patient Advocate Kristina Coccoluto. Kristina is a previvor, born with the BRCA1 mutation, leaving her with an 87% lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer and a 60% risk of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She took her circumstances into her own hands and began her marathon journey as a distraction before having a risk-reducing double mastectomy. Raising funds and awareness for the cancer community for almost a decade, she knew she could serve others on a deeper level, but didn't quite know the direction to take. And last year, as she crossed the Boston finish line, 28 weeks after a complete hysterectomy everything she had endured began to make sense. Kristina is a wife, mom of 3 kiddos, melanoma survivor, and a 3 star Abbot World Major Marathoner and she's not done yet. Kristina is stepping into her purpose by using her voice as a motivational speaker to empower others, advocate for change, and provide hope for those facing their own mortality. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Kristina's story, the choices she had to make concerning her health and her risks, and how it was a gift to have choices as so many prior generations didn't have the gift of these choices. 2) How this journey has been so healing for Kristina, how she is learning to see herself differently and realize the impact and the reach her voice and story can have to help others who've felt alone and isolated in their journeys. 673 | You Think And Act Like It's Further Away Than You Think

In this episode, we talk about our thoughts how far away we think something is, and how our thoughts, beliefs, and actions are keeping it further away. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Your actions will show up according to and be consistent with how far away you think "it is". If you tell yourself that something is far away, your energy, actions, and how you respond will be as if it is far away. A lot can change quickly when your actions show up and match that. 2) I heard Ed Mylett say that most of us have a depth perception problem. Because you think it is further away than what it is, you have created patterns, beliefs, thoughts and processes, actions steps, habits, rituals, and ultimately results that keep what you are working towards further away than you think and keep it further away. 672 | Resiliency Is Never Fun In The Moment

In this episode, we talk about resiliency and how it is never a fun lesson to learn in the moment. "Resilience is the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands." In this episode, we discuss: 1) Resiliency is never fun in the moment and you don't realize what you are building until later, until you come across another situation, maybe a similar one and you recognize that you are acting or responding differently, and you see that you are building your resiliency muscle. It is a muscle and much like a muscle in the gym, it requires you to break it down, for it to rebuild during rest. You don't see your work in the time you did your workout or when you go to the gym, you see it later when your numbers go up or your strength increases. 2) Can you build resiliency without building a hardened heart? I believe it is entirely possible and it starts with the practice of self-compassion and honouring how far you have come. 670 | What Would Your Future Self Say?

In this episode, we talk about what your future self would say. Let's play a fun game, and look at one year from today, February 2025, and what would your future self say to you? How would you look back with pride for how you showed up for yourself, what you said yes and no to, the boundaries you put into place, how you honoured your energy and joy, and how you showed up for yourself? In this episode, we discuss: 1) The idea for this episode came from the sharing of recent episodes, if you don't take the time to enjoy the steps, actions, and mundane steps in between you will never enjoy the final destination and sometimes as humans, we have to work backward first to see how far we have come instead of always looking forward. 2) Life is teaching us lessons every single day. What am I saying yes to today that I now have new information and wouldn't say yes to it? You will never reach a bigger goal than you can dream of. How big can you allow yourself to dream, think, show up as, or even surround yourself with people who can show and inspire you to stretch yourself? You aren't that version of yourself YET. 666 | Put Your Freakin Blinders On

In this episode, I want to talk about blinders and how a lot in your life can change when you put your freaking blinders on. Comparison is a very slippery slope, it will take you off your game, and block you from using your gifts. There are people who will expand us and allow us to grow and other people that will trigger us and block us from moving. In this episode, we discuss: 1) I continue to have conversations with clients and people who are constantly stuck in a spiral of comparison. 2) Shifting comparison starts with practicing gratitude for what you already have, focusing on your strengths, celebrating others, learning to stand in the gain and comparing yourself to your past self, and not stressing over how others are doing it in their business and life compared to you. 664 | It Takes More Than Writing Your Gratitudes

In this episode, I want to share a quick continuation of what changed in January of 2024 and how I decided to stop writing my gratitude and feel it. Sounds woo-woo doesn't it, yet it has been a huge shift for me and I knew I was being called to share it with you. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Focusing on your gratitude is more than checking a box, doing the thing, and "saying you are committed to your personal growth." If you are only concerned with checking a box, then you are in the process of doing more and not experiencing it. 2) A tool we learn in NLP is called anchoring, and this is a method of anchoring in emotions. Much like we anchor in triggers and stressors, we can also anchor in the positive, higher vibration emotions too. Anchoring allows you to feel any state or emotion any time you want, it is anchored in the work of Ivan Pavlov. The best states to anchor are naturally occurring states, vivid and highly associated states. 3) January was such an incredible month that we anchored it in with a trip at the end of the month to Toronto and it was about so much more than buying a hat, thank you Lillyput Hats! 662 | A Healthy Body Doesn't Die with Ian Clarke

In this episode, we speak with CEO Ian Clarke. At 46, Ian was bankrupt and given 1000 days left to live. 5 years later, he survived and built a raw supplement business direct to consumers from his basement which reached hundreds of thousands of people in 2 years. He hopes to share this wild story of how it happened, what the business did, how he used it to escape early death, and how others can learn how to manage and heal their own body. Ian is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Activation Products (Can) Inc. and has built a solid reputation for valuable research in the natural health space developing the most effective protocols and products that support natural healing. Now at the age of 65, his health and energy levels are better than when he was 25 years old but this was not the case in 2004. At the age of forty-six, two significant life-threatening health issues hit him in the same year! It was during 2004-2007 that as a husband and father of seven children, he sought out the most effective health products for natural healing to avoid medical operations and drugs. In 2007, Activation Products was founded with his wife and seven children. Over the last 16 years, he has enjoyed a wonderful health transformation for himself, his family, and literally hundreds of thousands of Activation clients internationally, and more need to know how to heal their own bodies. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Ian shares his incredibly powerful story about healing himself, and escaping an early death with a myriad of health issues by getting curious, asking questions, becoming a seeker, and implementing the changes to amplify his quality of health and his life overall. 2) When you change your physiology, you change your emotions, which is energy in motion, this changes your thoughts, which changes your beliefs, your behaviours, your results, and in turn your physiology, and that continues to repeat the cycle. In this episode, I want to share a personal story that has been tough to share and how I almost threw in the towel on my business on December 31st, 2023. 660 | Change Is Not Meant To Be Comfortable

In this episode, I want to squash a belief that we all seem to have that when things are uncomfortable we must be going the wrong way. In this episode, we discuss: 1) Your subconscious mind is wired for safety. It is its primary #1 job. So unknown is scary and fear is real, so how can you prime yourself that fear is just a sign that you are doing something new? 2) A belief is a thought you keep having and perceptions are a collection of beliefs, so it requires conscious interruption of your subconscious thoughts and patterns, and to interrupt the patterns and perceptions, your thoughts have to be so hardwired that you override the subconscious thoughts on loop. You change the story of what uncomfortable means.
