Imagination is a tool God has blessed us with.Isaiah 46:10Imagination gives us the opportunity to see the end from the beginning and to form a vision.Imagination distorted leads us into a realm called Fantasy.Fantasy is setting your heart or your mind on something that is unrealistic, impossible, or improbable.The Realm of Fantasy is where we chase the satisfaction of life by our own means. Fantasy hinders us from experiencing the fullness of God’s goodness. What are some of the ways we get into the Realm of Fantasy?1 - THEY ARE BETTER2 - I AM BETTER3 - IF I ONLY HAD4 - CALLED BUT INACTIVE5 - THINGS AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAYGod created imagination and it has a purpose. Satan manipulates and pushes us towards fantasy, but God pushes us towards vision.Vision is the ability to see with our spiritual eyes the things that God has set for us.Proverbs 29:18 KJVVISION VS. FANTASYVision is something God gives. Seeing what God hasn’t given is Fantasy.Inspiration is the gateway to Vision. The Kingdom of Heaven upsets the world in major ways, and effects the world in major ways.If we’re going to walk in the fullness of our assignment in the kingdom of God, we cannot walk in step with the culture of this world.Flipping The ScriptColossians 3:1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
