Ep 199Suddenly - The Problem With Suddenly

Suddenly Week 03 - The Problem With SuddenlyThe God of the Bible is a God of “suddenly’s.” “No Matter What” A delay doesn’t mean denial.Hebrews 12:12 Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on JesusGod is not an on demand God. Hebrews 6:12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:1. Find It2. Feed On It 3. Act Based On It4. Fulfill All The Necessary ConditionsGod is not a respecter of persons but He is a respecter of conditions. #1 Worship Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth 1. God is worthy2. Your worship helps keep your faith engaged 3. It will keep the spirit of heaviness from crushing us Isaiah 61:3 The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;#2. Ask For WisdomJames 1:4 Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.Liberally = freely and generously. 1 Kings 3:10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.#3. Incline Your Ear Proverbs 2 1-6 My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Proverbs 4:20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.Proverbs 22:17 Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise,And apply your heart to my knowledge;#4 Take Your StandEphesians 6:13-14 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, W A I T#1 Worship #2. Ep 198Suddenly - The Peace Of Suddenly

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] His peace was a heart untroubled and unfearful in spite of all the suffering and conflict ahead of him.As oxymoronic as it sounds that we have to FIGHT for PEACE. Ephesians 6:12 We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places.Acts 16:16-18 One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her to tell the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes. She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.Acts 16:18 This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her. What are you allowing to follow you around day after day and is it something you want to be associated with as a believer? “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.”Luke 10:17-19 “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!” “Yes,” he told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. (FOOTBALL REFEREE PICTURE)Our authority does not come from a formulated phrase. Acts 19:13-16 A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!” Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered. If you want to use your God-given authority, you must be under God's feet.He is not asking for our opinions, He is asking for our obedience. You is kindYou is smartYou is importantBut you is not God1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as [serious as] the sin of divination (fortune-telling), And disobedience is as [serious as] false religion and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you as king.”Because you said NO to God’s command, he says NO to your kingship. Rebellion causes God to say no to your kingship.
