Professor Alice Roberts is and academic and presenter who has presented more than a hundred television documentaries, ranging across human biology, history and archaeology. Her longest running series, BBC Two’s Digging for Britain has been going strong for more than ten years. She first appeared on television in 2001, as a human bone specialist on Channel 4’s Time Team. Larry Dann is a British actor best known for his roles in the Carry On... Series and for appearing as Sergeant Alec Peters in over 200 episodes of The Bill. His first appearance on screen was in Adam and Evelyn at age 5. Afterward, he would appear in Carry On Teacher, Trouble in Store and The Bulldog Breed. Ricky Sim is a lawyer-turned-comedian originally from Kuala Lumpur and currently living in New York City. Rob Auton is a stand-up comedian and writer who has written seven five star rated Edinburgh fringe shows. He has performed his unique brand of comedy on The Russell Howard Hour and on Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central. Rob released his book I Strongly Believe in Incredible Things with Harper Collins in 2021 to critical acclaim and has had three collections of writing and illustrations published by Burning Eye books and has had his poetry turned into short films and shown on Channel 4. As an actor he’s been in ITV’s Cold Feet, The End of The F***ing World on Netflix/Channel 4 and Miracle Workers on TBS. Rob also starred in and co-wrote the short film The Peamaster which was nominated for best short film at the Milan Film Festival. Rob was a finalist for The Arts Foundation Spoken Word Award and a winner of a Three Weeks Editors Award. BAFTA-winning comedian Iain Stirling is best known as the voice of the hit reality show Love Island, which is now in its 8th series. Lemn Sissay is a a BAFTA nominated International prize winning writer, broadcaster and poet who has had the MOST extraordinary life. Please listen to his intro to find out more! Dave Cohen is a comedy writer who has written on shows including Not Going Out, Have I Got News For You, Spitting Image, My Family and Life of Riley. On Radio he’s written for shows including, The News Quiz, Dead Ringers, Sunday Format and 50 episodes of the Radio 4 show 15 Minute Musical with Richie Webb and David Quantick, which won the Writers Guild Best Comedy 2009. Laurence Rickard is best known from BBC sitcom Ghosts where he plays the ghosts Robin the Caveman and Humphrey, the headless ghost. Laurence also co-created and co-writes Ghosts alongside his Horrible Histories group, which is the show they all met working on. He was a principle writer and star of children’s historical sketch show Horrible Histories, which won two National Comedy Awards, four successive BAFTAs and the Prix Jeunesse for the best children's show of the last 50 years. The same team also created the sitcom Yonderland which ran for three series on Sky 1 and the feature film Bill, a comic take on Shakespeare's missing years. Fiona Allen is probably best known as a member of Smack the Pony, the Emmy winning sketch show alongside Doon Mackichan and Sally Phillips. All three series were nominated for a BAFTA. Remi Adekoya is a writer, journalist and academic. Before joining academia, Remi was a political journalist for The Guardian, Sunday Times, Washington Post, Politico and Spectator. He has provided sociopolitical analysis and commentary for CNN, BBC, Sky News, Al Jazeera, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, South African Broadcasting Corporation, Talk Radio and Times Radio. He was a regular columnist for Business Day, a Nigerian daily, and a former political editor of the Warsaw Business Journal. Remi also sits on the Home Office Strategic Race Board as an external expert. Remi has written a number of books including Biracial Britain, what it means to be mixed race, and his latest book, It's Not About Whiteness, It's About Wealth: How the Economics of Race Really Work. Roger Black is the former athlete who represented Great Britain at the highest level, both as an individual 400m runner and as a member of the 4x400m relay team. He won 15 major Championship medals including World, European and Commonwealth Gold medals and Silver and Bronze Olympic medals. Roger was also British Men's Team Captain. His greatest achievement, he says, was winning the Olympic 400m silver medal in 1996 in Atlanta, beaten by the great Michael Johnson. Since his retirement from Athletics he has worked as a motivational speaker, talking to people all around the world about the many similarities between high performance in the worlds of sport and business.
