You’ve come to the right place with Relationship Coach, Roman Mironov as our guest co-host today. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Be accountable for fixing yourself. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:Website: https://romanmironov.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTpjfwxdtmsJ78QiPGMrsOQ/Podcast: http://romanmironov.libsyn.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/be20ofyourself/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/romanmironov/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/roman.mironov.10/ Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/AovEH1pM4To Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - I tell them that in my marriage, I was a workaholic. I focused on work single-mindedly. When we are overly focused, and a lot of men do that, we just ignore all the other areas. Very quickly, all those areas, start to deteriorate, including our relationships, health, and our friendships. They all need our attention. That's the point because our life is exactly that, it is everything is intertwined. It's just like our body. It's a feedback system. When we smile, we feel good. So it's a feedback loop.19:45 - You know, like the very first one I think I started with is people actually come into a relationship not to give, but to get.25:45 - Just a quick reminder, I am very big on this tip that I mentioned before, which is being missed by many. The value of having to have enough space is very important. The other thing is actually making sure that you have those daily intimate moments. Hugging, kissing, holding hands, these are all important and I recommend to them on a daily basis.30:00 - Another thing is being creative, really looking for ways to maybe scan your laptop and then go work outside for a few hours.41:00 - For me, the important part of coaching is accepting the person as they are. I'm not there to change them, if a guy feels happy by being addicted to porn, that's not necessarily my job to change him and to try to improve him in a way that I see things. Going back to your original question about the system that I use. My general idea is that I pursue using that system by setting goals and going into specifics about each goal that is to help the person achieve what they want. So for example, let's say a guy is addicted to porn, and at the same time, he wants better results in his career. I might think that these are both areas that we need to work on. He might think that he only needs to work on the career thing and if he wants that, I will help him with the career thing. I won't even engage in porn addiction because, again, it's not my job to "fix" people.51:00 - Fail Forward, there is, this is one good statement. The general idea is to be able to start with the very worst version of what you want. But as long as it works, if it works, it's fine. Like, start with a draft.53:25 - Final Words Shown Below… Our Final Words of the Show:We talked about all those different life areas, life zones, and relationship is one of them. So for example, if you spent eight hours working every day, so we spent eight hours on your career, the area of your career, you can't put any hours into your relationship. I mean, maybe you need to put some hours into the relationship area as well. It requires work it requires being intentional, it requires conscious effort, just like your work does. This is very important to understand because people have this, as the Iranian belief that they already know how to make relationships work. As if by default, they know it, and they are often wrong. So they think that their relationship will be great. Even if they don't, it doesn't really need any work and I think that's the main issue with our relationships today. They do require quite a lot of effort and if we ignore them, they tend to deteriorate. So like, try to use the same approach as you use it with your work. You read books, like in your profession, your career, your business, or whatever, read a book about relationships, and don't just read it, but also apply it. Positive Actions:Help us reach more listeners with a 5-Star Review on iTunes and Submit a ReviewPlease consider supporting our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP MindsetNeed brand growth?! You are responsible for your own condition, that 98%, but 100%. So you see people from all levels of society, from all areas of the world, and some people decide that I can make my life because I decided to do it. Some people decide that I'm a victim, and everyone else is responsible for my condition. If you want to be happy, the second one doesn't work. You know, hard work and keeping your moral code in play, surrounding yourself with good people, and having a purpose for your life, whatever it is. But it ought to involve helping someone else or somebody else.If you can live toward that end, you can enjoy the time that you have here and feel like for whatever purpose you were put here, that you did it. I think that the image I always have for myself, is I've been informed that at 120 years old, I have one hour to go and I am able to look back and reflect on my life. Did I do what I did and did I accomplish what I set out to do? Also, were other people glad that I was here and I did it. If you can answer those questions, there is a piece for yourself, no matter what's coming, you're going to be okay. If you're at that and you can assess that right now, then you create your own tomorrow so that you can decide. You can decide if I could be a little bit better here, I could have done that, or I've always wanted to do that.Tomorrow, you can decide to do that. Write it down in your goal book and look at it every morning and figure out if I want to end up here and if I'm here now. What are the steps to get there, maybe I need more education, maybe I need more influence in this area, maybe I need to meet new people. Whatever it is, you have the power to do it. You just have to decide and if you've been in a marathon or an Ironman or you've been running work in an 80-hour week, you've got what it takes to move your butt from where it is to where you want to go. So you might as well do it. Because you know, you're here and that's what life's about. You just make it into what you want. That's the connection of fire with the earth. It is regenerative, it is restorative and Mother Nature is built in. She's an amazing engineer. Like she's gonna kick our butts every single time if we think we can best Mother Nature. We are whistling dixie because we are unconnected with the truth of the fact that this earth and it is way more powerful than us. So it's being connected with what is. Here's a story I would illustrate it with from years ago. I attended a sheriff's academy in Ames, Iowa. I applied and I took it and it was fascinating Scott because what do you think I knew about being a sheriff? Most American's don't know what the role of Sheriff is.19:30 - Marketing is communication. Marketing is connecting. It's finding out who are your people, where are they at? How do they want to be communicated with, what is their rhythm? What's their style? What's their desire? What do they think they want? What do they know they need? That's the engagement of connection and when it hits, Whoa baby, it's magic! Yeah, like a full blast, let's go. But when it's not connected, when you are struggling, when you're forcing jokes, when you haven't honed your craft, I also delineate very much between public speaking and professional speaking. There's a huge difference.30:00 - Right now week to week, things are changing, it actually feels like day-to-day. You can have this great client who has been abused, who already has 15 flaming plates spinning in the air. They're already thinking, damn, I just need another damn thing. So how does she react, how do we help her? People like you and people like me, how do we coach? How do we lead? How do we teach so people can effectively lead their own lives in perpetual adaptation? Look, the world hasn't stopped. Oh, clearly, it has changed in a very remarkable and very, very condensed manner. This could have stretched out over 10 years, this could have stretched out over a millennium. But Mother Nature said alright, you're not paying attention. I'm going to really give you a wake-up call. So being connected with yourself first, always your why, it's the number one thing I teach. You got to know your why and your purpose!40:00 - I'll send you a list of 12 people or I'll do a bunch of connections because now I know you and I are here because of somebody else, right? Let's talk about what connectivity is here for a couple of minutes. Because we do need to delineate the N-word aka Networking and no judgment. Use what you want, simply know that there is a fundamental difference. The word network is a noun, it's something you built. Think of it that way. If you can envision a net, I don't care how you envision it, I just don't use it anymore. Because it's a noun, it's static. When you connect, you're actually in action. You're in motion. You're looking for something deep and it can happen pretty quickly, depending on how you approach it. Tha

This is a place that still exists and they still find human bones from 102 years ago. It's so surreal that you still have remnants from so long ago because the magnitude of mass destruction is beyond human comprehension when you have millions and millions of people that die in this kind of narrow, 450-mile line called the Western Front. So seven miles north of there, and I didn't, or did I know it at the time, I didn't know a whole lot about what I'm going to share with you now. So seven and a half miles north. This is a very important place out in the middle of nowhere in a farm field, which is sacred ground for America. This is one of the two parts of the Smithsonian show that I'm now part of, at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. So I'm honored to participate in a second Smithsonian show, and it will be up through September 6, 2020, if anyone's in DC. It's the big new Smithsonian Museum near the White House and they took out Oprah's exhibit and put this exhibit in, its' place.19:30 - I don't know if I'll ever find any more. But it shows us how these heroes felt about themselves and there was a reverence between the white officers and the African American soldiers. It's the opposite of what you would think from a racist South Carolina deep south. Even after the war for 10 years or more, they had reunions and you see letters back and forth and you see respect and love and a passion for this moment in time where they expressed what it was to be an American.28:00 - So now here's the really interesting part that puts it all together. Why? In fact, when we were talking before the show, you mentioned history repeats itself and people often say this. I say, well, yes and no, because this is not history repeating itself. It's new, in the last 125 years, it sounds like it's an underlying principle that, I guess, has been able to keep going. It's a technology story. We all can relate to how our lives and society have changed so drastically, because of the exponential increase of scale of communication with Google smartphones, and social media.31:00 - What is America? It's a place where we all can agree and disagree with each other. It's basically being different without killing each other. It's not about loving with each other or even liking each other. It's about defending the right of someone you cannot stand to be who they are, even with your life. That's what America is, in my view. That's what brings out all the altruism and the decency, because when that happens, society-wide, you enable the greatest human potential, and the ability to be free and to be who you are, and express yourself. You have that right, as an American, it's imperfect. It was always imperfect, it will always be imperfect.40:00 - If this is not paranoia, this is just human nature and checks and balances and what America is with transparency. So if you knew 102 years ago, there was a Supreme Court ruling written by Judge Oliver Wendell Holmes on free speech, and it was about shouting fire in a theater to create panic, was that allowed or

Something happens when we're a kid and all of a sudden, we're like, oh, this is a decision I'm going to make for life without really all the facts. This five-year-old probably shouldn't be making life decisions. But a lot of us, as we get older are still operating from the five or six-year-old thinking that was the truth instead of just a story we created.18:55 - I was fortunate. My brother in law when I was younger, said, look, investing is great. But any money you put in there, it's gambling. So only put in the amount of money that you're willing to lose and call it a day.21:00 - A great book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, talks really great stuff. Very good guy, a great book, all of that stuff. But at least if you're gambling, it's something that you are willing to take the risk and it's something you enjoy feels a lot better than just something like oh, I hope it works out.32:45 - I like talking about those simple things. This is something that happened to me a year ago. I mean, I'm sort of outing myself, but I was at a conference, and a workshop about social justice, equality, and privilege. I'm fortunate enough that I have a housekeeper because that's one of the things that I like having is clean sheets and all that stuff. So I'm sitting at the workshop and I noticed that my socks are mismatched. Okay, now, I always think people that have mismatched socks are really cool, but I don't do that on purpose. So right, a lot of people do it, but I'm not gonna count and so I'm not gonna take that risk and so living on the edge. Now, mind you, one sock was dark gray, and the other one was mildly dark. So nobody but me knew that my socks were mismatched and for about four seconds I was outraged that my housekeeper would mismatch my socks until I realized what an asshole I was being.40:00 - It's so interesting that you asked about the keyword of Nerve in my branding because one of the things that I find when I do workshops, live workshops with people is everybody wants to be rich. Me, me, me, me, I want to be rich. Cool, 10-minutes later, I ask what do you think about rich people? Rich people suck, they're assholes, they're jerks. Yeah, people, like them have no heart weight, and you want to be them. So already, we're not in alignment, because we're wanting to be the thing we hate, or that we have a judgment about, instead of actually, oh, some people that are rich, worked really hard. They put blood, sweat, and tears into it, and they didn't just get it. I think when people make a quick judgment to say you're rich, they miss you as the individual and they lump you in a group, which is what's going on right now in a lot of different levels of saying, oh, this is who you are without actually seeing the person.51:00 - We get into this comfort. I mean, I remember when I used to drive a pickup truck, I'm from Tennessee originally. So I was so happy to have my pickup truck and they were like, you can't drive a pickup truck, you're a CPA in LA. It's embarrassing in LA. So I finally got a nice car, and everybody treated me differently, which was annoying, but I got used to it. So then I had to have a new car every year because that was the image. You know, the car companies would be like, hey, we're gonna give you a new car, you don't have to do anything. Well, okay, that's sort of nice. I've sort of gotten used to it. But I really liked it when I didn't pay for a car and having to trade it in. So I'm actually leasing this car, when the lease finis

They really can't feel a lot of pleasure. They have a specific way that they self-pleasure and that's their one well-worn path. A lot of times when they get into the bedroom, they're in their head strategizing about giving her a great experience. They're overthinking.14:00 - Some people want to go back and rehash what happened and process it. Other people are better at saying, let's just have a do-over and start again and let that go. One of the things that I do notice is that there is a pretty big number of people, I'm thinking 15 to 20% of people, who have been betrayed or have had their heart hurt. It is very hard for them to open their heart again. I don't hear as commonly of people who have never opened their hearts, except for men who come to me and say, women, reject me. They don't like me. I am just terrible with women. They come in with a chip on their shoulder that they're not likable.19:20 - I started looking at the Venn diagram, the three circles that intersect of libido, desire, and arousal. So what you're really talking about is body, mind, and spirit. You're really talking about both your physicality as well as your emotional body as well as the knowledge that you bring. Then once you get really good, once you're like, okay, I understand how my genitals work, I understand the ways I can orgasm. I began to become more multi-orgasmic. I've had different kinds of orgasms. My partner and I now have the ability to feel really comfortable talking to each other. We're comfortable asking for what we need is changing. Just as we change and evolve, we acknowledge that every day is a new day and we're constantly maturing.30:30 - The minute you start to see any diminishment of size, or a reptile rigidity, a vacuum erection device, the one I like is called the Whopper. I've written a book called the pumping guide. I know it's a funny name because it does make your penis bigger as well, which is nice. A lot of guys want to have a little bit more girth and length. I have written a book called the pumping guide, which explains how pumps work, what to do, how to pump for maximum gain.40:15 - So prostate massage is super healthy and we've lost track of it over the last 100 years or so. But, in the old days, prostate massage was very, very common. So those are important parts for men being able to feel along with perhaps nipple stimulation, kissing, you know, tickling the chest, thighs, buttocks, belly, these are all spots that can be really sensitive and pleasurable for men, not just for women. You know, nobody thinks twice about playing with a woman's nipples.50:00 - Radishes are good, kohlrabi is a good deal and cabbage. The brassicas not so much. Homemade yogurt made in the right way is another great source for healthy gut bacteria and healthy gu biome for improved wellness.01:02:00 - Final Words Shown Below… Our Final Words of the Show:What the magic pill method does is it teaches you how to solve your problem yourself, that there is an answer to your problem. It might be a workaround, it might be a solution, it might be a compromise. But there is a way to remove the roadblock, to go from wherever you are to what you believe that you want. What you want is only the beginning of what you could possibly have if you just keep going. So the magic pill method is actually a four-step process for solving your own problem yourself with your sex life. Positive Actions:Help us reach more listeners with a 5-Star Review on iTunes and Submit a ReviewPlease consider supporting our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgJoin&nbsp

Ep 364Empowerment and Forgiveness with Derek Stone

E

Today We Talk Empowerment To Help You, The Listener, Re-tool and Change Your Life:After working to support his family as a struggling artist, Derek Stone chose to reevaluate his life and his way of thinking, and in three short years grew a small one-man show into a million-dollar company. This amazing transformation came about through a decision to forgive his father. Derek left the path of blame and began traveling down a path of forgiveness which led him to start living his best life. He is now on a mission to help empower others to make the same transformation by helping them take charge of their own lives.Quote: When you avoid conflict to keep the peace you start a war within. ~ Cheryl RichardsonFor years Derek Stone had dreams of becoming a musician. This road didn’t lead him to success, however, it led him to Nashville, TN. Struggling to live as a starving artist with a family to feed, it was then he thought “there’s got to be a better way.” He went through an early life crisis, changing careers with the help of mentors and watching YouTube. He took his God-given talent of Creativity and transferred it from being something you hear to something that you can see. As it turned out, the construction industry was his road to success, the “better way” he had longed for. In three short years, he grew a small one-man show into a company with $1.2 million in gross revenue. He credits his success to one decision as a senior in high school. He started looking back at his life to figure out what made him so different from his three siblings. The difference. . . he chose to forgive his dad and to take a different path than his parents. He blamed his dad for every bad thing he went through as a child: from being sexually abused and going hungry, to taking cold showers because the power got cut off. He was a bitter teenager and wanted a better life, so when the opportunity presented itself, he took it and chose forgiveness.36 years since the beginning of his story and he is currently living his best life. He enjoys hunting, fishing, knife making, and hanging out with his family. He loves empowering people to re-tool and change their lives. He loves God, loves his family, and loves people. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Understanding Resentment, Bitterness, and Anger.Self-Realization on Family and Life Balance. For whatever is your why choose to forgive. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:Website - https://www.derekstone.online/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/derek-stone-b342ab125/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Derekstone28Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/derek_f_stone/  Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/edkeS-fhmPA Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:45 - I would say the anger, which is derived from the bitterness, and once the anger matures, it becomes in bitterness, and then once those two mature, they become resentment.20:45 - So we were at this conference and this dude, Dave Park, was talking about bitterness versus forgiveness. He said, some of you need to forgive a parent or a sibling or aunt or uncle or grandparent and my blood pressure started going and all of a sudden, all these memories started flooding back through my head, like a time-lapse video, and I started getting angry. Then this voice came to me man and said, Derek, I want to use you, but I can't. Because you have this bitterness towards your dad.31:00 - I had a conversation with my wife that was very, very humbling for me because my pride is always kind of my pride it always just like she really just doesn't know. But she in fact did. I don't know how she did. It's like your parents when you're a teenager, they always know you're running around screwing around doing something. How do they know that?42:00 - That is a valid point, you know, not to look down on it now. But I'm just saying, it wasn't a necessity. I hated doing it. But I had to do what I had to do to get myself to a better place while I retooled, you know that's what was going on. Then the moment I stopped, the unemployment went right into a job doing construction, grunt work stuff, and bad stuff.50:00 - I guess where we are is where we are in life. You know, people do that look at us and say some of those things sometimes. I missed the whole first year and my first month of my second child's life.59:00 - Final Words Shown Below… Our Final Words of the Show:My wife wrote the last sentence in the book and it says "for whatever is your why choose to forgive." I think that sometimes you have to search in your heart for your why, what it is that you do, or maybe it's the why that you don't want to pass on something to your kids, or you don't want to pass stuff through to your wife. The people you love the most are next, they are the ones that are going to be hurt the most by your bitterness and your resentment. Yeah, for whatever is your why choose to forgive. Positive Actions:Help us reach more listeners with a 5-Star Review

Ep 363Video Production and Email Marketing with BombBomb

E

How To Speed Up Video Production and Increase Email Marketing Open Rates:A passionate storyteller by nature Steve Pacinelli serves as BombBomb's Chief Marketing Officer. Recently, Steve co-authored the definitive guide to better business communication, Rehumanize Your Business. Prior to leading the charge of the "relationships through video" movement, he led a sales team winning with BombBomb. He was a Sales Manager, Vice President of Events, and the National Speaker for Realtor.com, and presented to more than 1,000 audiences along the way.Quote: "The obstacle is the way"Thematically these presentations focus on online marketing, video communication, lead conversion, consumer psychology, and sales automation. However, craft beer, photography, motorcycles, and Steve’s family of five always made a cameo.Quote: "Be a value and abundance will follow" Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Facial recognition vs textual.Short visual videos vs faceless emails.Connecting Personally vs Personalized Automation. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:Scott's BombBomb Affiliate Link: http://affiliates.bombbomb.com/VQG9vwww.bombbomb.com/bookwww.linkedin.com/in/stephenpacinelli Our Mentioned Influencers:The Epidemic of Facelessness https://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/15/opinion/sunday/the-epidemic-of-facelessness.htmlhttps://www.fanocracy.com/Vanessa Van Edwards: oxytocin body language https://www.successpodcast.com/show-notes/2017/4/18/the-secret-science-of-lies-body-language-with-vanessa-van-edwards Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/0EnRS1gsk1g Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction02:30 - Garage office? It looks a lot bigger than it is. It's about six by eight feet in the corner of the garage. I built it with my father-in-law in like two days, just to be separated from the house. I want to redo the garage and put the gym in my office upstairs and build a second. My gym is in the basement for me right now.09:30 - I started using video for communication purposes, and again, there's marketing through video and relationships through video. Marketing is when you get the green screen, the drone, the high-end lighting, and the equipment and you record it. Relationships through video are more organic messages where someone's just taken out their phone, or they're using their laptop camera or something and they hit the record button. They know whatever message they have to deliver would be much better delivered in person but time or distance or technologies are keeping them apart. It's not suited for text-based communication either, it has nuance, it requires more clarity. Relationships need to be built and so back in 2011, I didn't work for BomBomb then, I was looking for a way to travel the country on a 48 city speaking tour.16:00 - There is a shiny authenticity, the shiny or that something, is a lot of times the less authentic and it feels that way depending on what you're trying to accomplish with your video. There's a time and place for shiny, for sure. Okay. But there's also a time and a place if you're trying to deliver a heartfelt message. The less production that you put towards it, the more it sounds like it comes from the heart and less from the mind.21:00 - I think, 25 years ago were the biggest shifts that we've had in the business world, as all of our communication was relegated to black text on a white screen. When you remove the messenger from the message, you remove the humanity, remove the emotion, you remove the tone, you remove the personal nature of the message, now we can personalize. That's all the crap that we get in our email inbox every day that has your name on it that's personalized. But there's a difference between personalized and personal. Personal is a message written specifically for you, personalized is that token or autofill that fills in the information that's not for you specifically. So I think that's part of the problem because we're relying on text messages, text-based email, text-based slack messages, etc.30:00 - The visual cues are as human beings, we are meant to read visual cues. We have been talking for hundreds of thousands of years, there's only been mass literacy for the past 500 years. So we're not great. It's not ingrained in us over hundreds of thousands of years of speaking face to face and reading, like reading people's expressions. If you weren't good at reading someone's facial expressions, reading body language 1000, 2000, 3000 years ago, then you didn't survive to pass on your genes to the next generation.41:30 - CTA, translated for the newbies is a call to action. So if I was, if I said Scott, you need to buy my book. I could have added a quick pop-up that would appear in the video when you play it. You click on it, it would go directly there. Then you see it within seconds. It just drops that video right inside the email. Now it comes across with that animated preview too and that's great to catch people's attention.50:30 - We just

Ep 362Biking, Rowing, CrossFit, & Swimming with Coach Lou of CrossFit Apex

E

Today We Talk Rowing, Mountain Biking, Kettlebells, CrossFit, and More:Coach Lou Williams: I am a father of three who grew up in the Harrisburg area, where I graduated from Central Dauphin East High School. For as long as I can remember I’ve been a lover of all sports, especially those that tested endurance and mental toughness. I was a YMCA national level swimmer, a competitive runner, and a soccer player growing up but also dabbled in basketball, baseball, rock climbing, and triathlons.I continued my education at Bloomsburg University, where I pursued a degree in Mass Communications (Journalism) while a four-year member and senior-year captain of the Bloomsburg University Men’s Soccer team. It was during this time at BU when I started coaching both soccer and swimming and realized that working with children in an athletic forum was something I really enjoyed.I moved to the Bucks/Montgomery County area in 2003 with my wife Lauren, who is a Pennridge HS grad. I spent a few years experimenting with different employment, including stints as the head swim team coach and youth sports director at the Ambler Area YMCA.More recently I’ve stepped into positions as the Aquatics Director at the Souderton Area High School, head coach for the 200+member Souderton Area Community Aquatic Club, head coach of the SAHS swimming and diving teams, and head coach of the Souderton borough summer swimming and diving teams. My CrossFit “Journey” began in April of 2013 when I was seeking a way to stay competitive in a non-contact sport. Many years of post-collegiate soccer were beginning to exacerbate injuries suffered as a young athlete and I needed a way to stay active. A recommendation from my sister to try CrossFit resulted in me checking out CrossFit Apex, a move that has honestly changed my life.Among other things, CrossFit has provided me with new knowledge of and excitement for fitness, a ton of new relationships, an outlet for my competitive nature, and a healthy environment to grow as a person. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Health and Fitness Life BalanceGetting Outside the Gym with Mountain BikingRowing, Kettlebell Training, and More. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:www.crossfitapex.comwww.crossfitapex.com/location---pa/trainerswww.log.concept2.comwww.alltrails.com/mobile Our Mentioned Influencers:Vinnie Tortorich of Fitness Confidential - http://vinnietortorich.com Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/xwwToIaepZU Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction02:40 - We probably have similar time domains here, Scott, my Level 1 was set to expire this past fall, and I did end up paying $1,000 and getting my L-2. This was important to my everyday workspace both with swimming and with CrossFit. So I started in 2013. So we're going on eight full years, it took me a year or two to get my Level 1, five years of that though is coaching extensively at the CrossFit Apex gym. So I just got my Level 2, so I guess it's about eight years in the CrossFit space, but I've been in the swimming coach role, in the fitness world too, similar to you and some other areas for a long, long time.16:40 - CrossFit Apex did a great job of lending out some equipment which I know a lot of gyms are doing which is awesome for them to kind of give that to their members so we can solve for them. So I got a couple of kettlebells from them. I love kettlebell work. I do swings every day, the rower is my go to right now, we've been linked into the concept2 logbook I don't know if you have that app on your phone. I would highly recommend it.25:00 - Let's talk some bike stuff. So let's take my 12-year-old son and then myself, which I would call myself a newbie. I've been riding my mountain bike since I was 16-years-old and it's done the trick for me. But we've been looking at different ways to be fit like mountain biking, getting outside, and biking seems to be something that is available right now. I've got two bikes. We've been doing some mountain biking in the area, and it has been super beneficial. I always tell people I love to hike. We've done some Ragnar trail races. I love to be outside in the woods whenever my kids get rambunctious.30:00 - I just leveled up, I turned 40 in February 2020. So I was anxiously awaiting all the summer comps for this year but that now looks like they won't happen too. The CrossFit regulations were two years ago and now it's 35+ for masters.33:30 - Every mount bike nowadays applied a standard, which all pretty much have a front shock, it's a no-brainer. The advantage of going to full suspension is you are going to gain some nice squish in the back so to speak. But I will tell you, I can't beat a beautiful hardtail for climbing. Because when you pedal up hills, that rear suspension is going to lag a little bit and you're going to lose some of that power displacement on the pedal stroke.42:40 - The extent of where I've been lately is basically Lake Nockamixon. But certainly, I'm familiar with some

He successfully handles business transactions across the United States and abroad in some cases - deals from 1 million to 25 million-plus. Peterson handles the transactions from start to finish with tenacity and results. He lives a wonderful life, traveling and making deals with movers and shakers throughout the world.Quote – "The world will try to make you what it needs. Only the bold make this life for themselves" Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Live deliberately with intentionality, your mindset drives everything.Take care of your health and believe in your health prevention vs medicine. The journey of the self-employed is often treacherous and nerve-rattling until you see the horizon of success. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:www.petersonacquisitions.com www.linkedin.com/in/petersonacquisitions.com www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1595690445 Twitter @Acquisitions_KC Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/6XY9tXNrBqY Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction09:30 - You have to decide right now. What stress can you take on and what is going to be more fruitful for you. Hold on to your personal life and your sanity right now or if expanding and adding to your business and money right now is more important. You have to decide that because you can put too much stress on your time and on yourself during these times20:30 - You have got to realize that this economy was worse than this, but not acutely that this is way worse than a way it was? Oh, but it's not going to be that way long term. In other words, a five-year effect. I believe that here in the next 30 days, I think you're gonna see this country just start roaring again. That's what I believe anyway, I don't think it's going to be maybe the hardest and shortest hit to the economy that we've ever seen.31:00 - If we the people state, hey, we're not gonna let you take our liberties away. You know, we're not going to take up some unsubstantiated evidence and let it ruin our lives in our economy. We've got to get outside, we've got to remain healthy. We've got to remain socially healthy too. We can't let our relationships fall apart. We've got to have friends, we got to maintain a social fabric.40:00 - That's good wisdom for all. You know, Jesus said, don't cast your pearls among the swine. That means, don't give people pearls of wisdom unless they ask for it. That's what it is.52:30 - I believe that I help people more than financial planners do, tenfold? Yeah, you come to me and you sell your business for three, four, or five million. I can convert your life to being a multi-multi-millionaire and change your lifestyle in 10 different ways. I mean, I've seen people have small businesses that are only making a couple hundred grand a year and I can get them into businesses that make millions a year.56:00 - Final Words Shown Below... Our Final Words of the Show:I would always try to tell people this, don't let the world tell you what to do. Make sure that you are telling the world what you're going to do. You know that this world somehow is designed in all meaning all well. Our parents do it, our teachers do it, our professors do it. People at our church do it. People on our sports teams do it, they're always telling you what you should do. It's their way, or it's a way or it's whatever and I just tell people to make sure it's you deciding what you want to do.That would be my lasting legacy of advice. That's what really grabs me about this whole COVID thing, is how easily everybody just was told what to do and everybody just followed it based on really, really insufficient evidence. So I would say that's my two cents. Make sure it's you doing what you want to do. Don't refuse good advice but be led by your own compass. Otherwise, you're going to be led by 30 other compasses, your own compass needle is going to be spinning all the time, and you're not going anywhere. You have got to follow your true north and it's easier said it's talking in bumper stickers, but it is so profound if you can just follow your own compass. That's a way to live a deliberate life, live intentionally by the way of your own being, rather than being swayed by several other faulty accomplices along the way Positive Actions:Help us reach more listeners with a 5-Star Review on iTunes and Submit a ReviewPlease consider supporting our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP MindsetNeed brand growth?! Ep 360Healthy Restoration, Telomeres, and Vi-Telometry with Dr. Darrell Misak

E

Anti-Aging, Telemomeres Health, and Naturopathic Medicine:Dr. Misak received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from West Virginia University in 1992 and gained 3½ years of university hospital pharmacy experience at Duke University Medical Center. During his hospital pharmacy experience, Dr. Misak’s primary focus was clinical rounding in Oncology and General Medicine. As he began to realize the pitfalls of traditional medicine and pharmacy, he started his continued search for truth in health, which directed him to naturopathic medicine. In 1996, he moved his family across the country to Portland, Oregon, where he received his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine. Additionally, while in naturopathic medical school, he was blessed with the opportunity to gain 5 years of compounding pharmacy experience at Lloyd Center Pharmacy.Quote: The day that you consume more energy than you get from your food is the first day of disease. ~Dr. Carey Reams Dr. Misak owns and operates Pittsburgh Alternative Health, Inc. in the south hills of Pittsburgh, where he focuses on health analysis and how to support optimal energy formation to result in natural health restoration. He has continued his search for truth in health with a goal to teach and change the world. He performs regular lectures and does YouTube shows teaching the concepts of bio-electric chemistry and how to optimize personal energy efficiency. In essence, his goal is to teach health and observe restoration. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Naturopathic Medicine vs Pharmaceutical MedicineTelomeres Health and Anti-AgingDaily Stress Impacts on Health Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:http://docmisak.comhttps://vitelometry.com/pages/meet-dr-misakhttps://www.facebook.com/vitelometry@vitelometry Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/AneZg4UHxjc Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction05:30 - In "traditional" medicine, they are studying theory, the catabolic state, cancer break down, this person needs certain B vitamins to generate the energy, their collagen swelling report, they need higher amounts of vitamin C, etc, etc.10:00 - Whatever you can't get away from toxins, check the Environmental Working Group, EWG.org, the Clean 15 or the Dirty Dozen, clean 15 foods. They did a study years ago on placental blood that babies right when they're born to have over 200 chemicals on average in their blood. So you're breathing it in and you're putting them on your skin.22:00 - The rich and famous are taking this stuff. Then you look at all the other ones and all they are, are glorified antioxidants, and basically multivitamins. If you look at what affects telomeres, in reality, it's stress. If you had a stressful childhood, you can't process your emotions and haven't figured out who you are or how to process those emotions. Then you carry that stress to your life, it shortens your telomeres.30:00 - I have seen some directly enhanced testosterone levels and guys having positive effects for fertility with women who are having fertility issues. This has been shown to balance out those hormones on women.40:30 - The higher the mineral content in the food, the more drought-resistant the food, the higher the energy of the food, the more sweet the food is, the longer that food is gonna last in your refrigerator. So you buy an organic zucchini that's rotting in 10 days in your refrigerator, I pick my organic, get into my organic zucchinis that I'm growing. I can leave them on my countertop all summer long, then cut them up, and they're still fresh as the day that I picked them.48:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I think you take it back to that awareness aspect. I think if you know who you are, and you know what you believe, then you have a tool that shows you how you can love yourself because if you don't like yourself, you're dealing with yourself for the rest of your life. You know, then you've got an issue, know yourself, find yourself and then let that belief guide you. It's going to lead you to do that aspect of truth that says, okay, if I really believe that, then what am I doing to make that difference and leaving that legacy? Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

Ep 358Algae, Oil, and Water Crowdfunding with OriginClear

E

Do it yourself water treatment, a Trillion $ industry, and much more: QUOTE: "City water is legal – but is it safe to drink?"Riggs Eckelberry doesn’t look like a bomb-thrower. And yet, he’s driving the disruption of a trillion-dollar industry that has fallen behind the times and is affecting the health of millions. That industry is Big Water. Simply, those billion-dollar centralized water systems aren’t coping with demand, and water quality is getting worse. The answer? Instant InfrastructureTM. Businesses are doing their own water treatment, using modular, prefabricated systems that are trucked right on site. They get better water quality, lower rates through recycling, and even improved environmental grades! Ten years after launching public company OriginClear, Riggs and his team are offering those truck-in-place modular systems in the USA, while licensees are building products internationally using OriginClear’s low-energy, chemical-free innovation.QUOTE: "Water is the new Gold!"Riggs Eckelberry is uniquely qualified to ride the huge wave of do-it-yourself water treatment that is transforming an industry, having learned management in the nonprofit space, captained oceangoing ships, and achieved several tech successes during the dot-com boom. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Crowdfunding Companies.Invest in water treatment.Water is a Trillion $ industry?! Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://modularwater.com/https://offering.originclear.com/https://www.facebook.com/OriginClear/https://www.instagram.com/originclear/  Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/x1C7ZVjojwc  Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - I was able to build real companies after that, I was involved with getting yellowpages.com its liquidity with my help. I wound up taking a company public called Cyber Defender.20:00 - We became specialists and decentralized, meaning that our line of modular water systems. The black box thing really appeals to the decision-making decentralized user who just wants to solve the goddamn problem?30:00 - He spent 30 years doing this stuff and we came along and say, okay, this is perfect to speed up the technology adoption cycle. Except that it's still really hard to get projects through, even before the virus.40:00 - The point, is that the investor normally has no way to get decent returns that are secure. By secure we mean, if you allow that water treatment plant to be built into the property, and now you become a claimant in a foreclosure or liquidation, then good luck, right? Major apartment networks are just falling apart because people aren't paying their bills, and you don't want to be the second or third or fourth in line on getting collection. So we realize it had to be something where we literally, it's like running a TV, in the poor part of town, you want to be able to go in and take it.50:00 - So what you have is, 20% overall, meaning in the US and the West, as Europeans, have it even better. It's more like 70-80% is treated and then other countries are at 5% or zero, but guess what, it's the same freakin ocean. So, you know, Bangladesh is doing whatever, well, it's stuff makes its way over to us too. So we were on the same bubble, and we've got it too. So what I finally feel so good about is the fact that we've been able to take the limiters off and the blinders have been taken off the industry. This is a model that can be adopted.59:45 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:It's really interesting because I came up through the nonprofit space and so it was all about saving the world and then, in the 80s, I ended up in tech and the reason I ended up in tech was I started feeling that Tech has the potential to change the world, right? For example, the self-driving car has the potential to eliminate that 14 fatalities per hundred thousand that we live with on a daily basis. It's also a double-edged sword technology that can be used to surveil people, whatever, but it's that net. I think we're never going to get a handle on climate change. Without tech, it's not gonna be done by legislating people to consume less. We have to literally leapfrog with technology and that's why I went through the.com and then I found myself in water.I feel that by applying the technology leapfrog to water, I can really help make a difference to the planet and that's what makes me work the crazy hours and deal with the nuttiness because, like you, I feel like what I'm doing is so important. I love the excitement that people have, I feel it on a daily basis and it just keeps me going! Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

Today we discuss Pandemic Triggers, Anxiety, Mindset, Healing, and More:Dr. Nima Rahmany, DC, CCWP is both a Chiropractor and an educator, specializing in helping individuals and professionals get to the ROOT CAUSE of their physical and emotional challenges, from stressed, depressed, and anxious to living Powerfully Aligned and on Purpose. After building a successful Chiropractic practice in Maple Ridge, BC, Dr. Nima sold his clinic in June 2016 to pursue his passion for teaching and coaching professionals who are stressed, depressed, and anxious to transform and have their best year ever— in both a private and corporate setting."The highest form of forgiveness is the authentic recognition that everything served and there is nothing to forgive." – Quote Dr. Nima Rahmany Dr. Nima has integrated all the mind-body tools in his quest for healing stress-related disorders into one, simple to follow a method called “The Overview Method”, which is “ the adjustment above atlas” that he teaches one-on-one and in groups all over the world in his engaging and “edutaining” lectures filled with inspired authenticity and “edutainment”.  Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Healing JourniesHealing MindsetBecome Triggerproof Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:drnima.com/vw1 promo code "triggerproof" https://twitter.com/drnima https://www.youtube.com/user/chironimz https://www.facebook.com/drnimarahmany/ https://www.instagram.com/drnima/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/drnima/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/236383917410506/  Our Mentioned Influencers:Book: "Man's Search for Meaning" by Austrian Neurologist, Victor Frankle on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3jUATvu Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/2idnMdhLFEI Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction09:10 - Essentially, that moment between stimulus, the trigger, and the response gives us so much information. It's that space between stimulus and response. It is how we naturally have a tendency to react unconsciously which is the code of all of our primary wounding that didn't start with us and it didn't even start with our parents. It's been going on from generation to generation.20:15 - I don't think everybody can think or talk about what you and I are talking about right now. Yes, but it's okay because I was there one time to where I couldn't talk about this. I had to learn these things and then I had to test these things. I had to then realize that first of all, I said I would never get married too So you're kind of energy, you're what they are called an Avoidant Attachment Style, which is the same as me, man, my heart was all locked up.30:00 - I have the freedom to make everything happen in my current state. I can actually attest to this because I've said I mentioned stuff like this on other shows, because that's part of the freedom, right? I don't care what the hell I say on my show these days because I love that freedom of not worrying about what anybody else thinks. My vulnerability is wide open and I've had people appreciate that I actually am this honest and transparent. There is true power in transparency.40:00 - So we have to unfuck your nervous system. It starts with that, and it goes into healing your codependent patterns. Even like in your euthanize case, Scott, where we were in that state of insecure avoidance. There's also the other type, which is the insecure kind of anxious attached. So to heal those wounds I discovered that I was going to be a dad. Then I put a ring on it, and we just decided to get married, we're going to have a baby. All of this is so that we can create a community of people around the world who are taking responsibility for using this time to heal their past attachment wounds. I created a website, a Facebook group called "Trigger Proof: Regulate Stress & Strengthen Immunity during a Crisis" to help show people how to regulate stress and strengthen immunity during a crisis. I give transmissions every day.50:00 - We have a huge spike in divorces and breakups are going through the roof. Why? Because we can't stop and nobody has been dealing with their shit. We can't bullshit any longer. The ability to take a conflict, let's say you and I are friends, and we get into a disagreement. Normally, I'll be like, Fuck you, I'm out of here. Like, I don't want to hear from you. Versus, okay, well this is what I came up for me, Scott, when this happened, and to take that conflict between us and create a deeper bond out of it, a deeper relationship out of it. Those two skills, if you can learn that, and master that and invest in the growth in the learning of that, not only will you come through the COVID pandemics, like a chain war gliding through, but throughout your entire life, the quality of every relationship, which is what makes your life experience so worth it will completely transform.58:47 - Final Words Our Final RAP of the Show:I'm gonna leave you with a little rap t

The tough part, Scott, as we know, is that since it's been 10 years since we've had a recession, I think we have all gotten kind of complacent. As a society, we've gotten a little arrogant. It's been pretty easy and we had a very smooth run.20:00 - Even if you're going in the wrong direction, maybe even some leadership in the wrong direction, at least we get some momentum and get people moving which is better than just sitting still and waiting.31:00 - They'd send me an Excel spreadsheet, $35,000 worth of equipment, and I'd be like, look, I can get you $1,000. The guy would be like, let me call you back. He'd come back an hour later and be like, if you overnight a cashier's check, it's yours.41:00 - The worst part Scott is that it wasn't even all at once. It was a series of 12 loans for about $20,000 each. That's how much I needed to make payroll every two weeks.50:00 - For me, for my spouse, we have already spent a lot of time talking about what's truly important to us. So we can go back to that, and we get some psychological safety from it. I'm not saying it's perfect, you know, we still have our issues.01:10:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I think people are, are focusing more on this now. And are starting pay attention. I think people understand that we're going to have an economic downturn. And so it's time to start to figure out how you're going to rock it, instead of getting rocked by it. Ep 354FAT, Oils, Obesity, Cytokine Storm and KETO with Dr. Cate

E

Author of the new book, The FATBURN Fix, Dr. Cate Shanahan joins us on today's new Health Podcast talking FAT, Seed Oils, and more: Dr. Cate Shanahan is the leading authority on nutrition and human metabolism. A board-certified Family Physician with over 20 years of clinical experience, and NY Times bestselling author of The FatBurn Fix, Deep Nutrition, and Food Rules, her expertise is fixing the underlying problems that cause metabolic damage and inflammation, leading to autoimmunity, weight gain, diabetes, cancer, and accelerated aging processes. Her passion is helping people feel their best.My training is in Family Medicine and my background is in biochemistry and genetics, having studied at Cornell. I've authored three books including Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Traditional Food and THE FATBURN FIX, with MacMillan, released in March 2020. In 2011 I created a nutrition program for the LA Lakers that many NBA and professional sports teams have emulated. This program, along with the 2008 edition of my first book Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Traditional Food is credited with helping spark the current bone-broth and collagen craze, as well as inspiring thought leaders in the nutrition and KETO space.Since 2018, I've assisted ABC Fine Wines and Spirits to optimize the health of their 1600+ employees and family members by providing concierge care and creating educational programs. Objective markers of success include biomarkers and the elimination of medications.I've served as an independent advisor or consultant to dozens of companies and organizations throughout the world including the LA Lakers, OKC Thunder, Villanova Basketball, beliv - CBC Beverages, & Natural Stacks.I have been featured in The Magic Pill documentary and The Real Skinny on Fat docu-series, interviewed by Good Morning America, Scientific American, Sports Illustrated, Men's Journal, CNN, US News and World Report, Prevention Magazine, Vogue, National Geographic, GQ, the New York Post, Woman's World, People Magazine among others as well as numerous radio talk shows and popular podcasts. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Avoid Seed Oils.Obesity and Diabetes rates are Excessive.Get back in the garden. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:HTTP://DrCate.comhttps://www.facebook.com/cate.shanahan.3https://twitter.com/drcateshanahanhttps://fatburnfix.com/#audiosamplehttps://www.amazon.com/s?k=catherine+shanahan&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss_1https://drcate.com/dr-cates-march-2020-book-the-fatburn-fix/https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3294426/ Our Mentioned Influencers:Vinnie Tortorich and Fitness Confidential at HTTP://vinnietortorich.com Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/Z4_TQkyG0c0 Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - Not all FAT is created equal. The kinds of fats that are in the seeds that we've all been unknowingly consuming, the seed oils are those called polygon stable, they should be called polyunsaturated, and they're unstable. So that's why they stay liquid in the fridge, that's why they're softer, right? That's why they add them because they're unstable.20:00 - PUFA aka Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid.30:00 - I was a doctor and I had the symptoms of hypoglycemia myself. I would have my cereal, Raisin Bran for breakfast with my skim milk. If I was really indulgent, I'd have 2%, and added sugar, of course, had to have more sugar on that. So that would be at seven AM and then by noon or one PM, whenever I got to my lunch, my fingers were cold and I'd be shaky. I would be kind of like, oh come on, just give me my lunch already. Those symptoms, that's hypoglycemia. So I was already on that diabetes spectrum, and I had no clue.40:00 - At the turn of the century, 50% of Americans lived on farms. Now I would be willing to bet that would also be that of our small business world. But that was America. What made America great was the fact that we were founded on small business farmers, we were self-sufficient people, we knew how to make good food. That's what made us great, that's actually, by the way, a huge reason why a lot of English people left England too.50:00 - So that's why I have two phases in the plan that talks about the baby-steps phase for folks who are more metabolically damaged and need to spend more time with taking those baby steps. If you're not quite so metabolically damaged, then you can jump right into a KETO diet. But the two phases are to fix your metabolism and then burn your body fat. If you have a really high-fat burn factor, you can just start right into cutting calories by intermittent fasting.54:30 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:The thought that I want to leave people with is that food used to be this holy transcendental sensation. It wasn't just about energy. It was about connecting with your family and your environment. It was about how good you can make something tasty and how much time you could spend in the kitchen. Ep 353Be The Change and Self-Care with Su Orosa

E

Today's Podcast is on Mindset, Fulfillment, Self-Care, and the importance to Be The Change:My next guest has a mission, to help busy professional women shift their mindsets and find fulfillment. Su Orosa is a mental health and wellness coach, who gives women the tools they need to manage their inner critic and put a stop to self-sabotaging behaviors. Providing her clients with a compassionate, safe space to really open up, Su encourages introspection and helps her clients to start living the lives they were always meant to live.Quote: "Be the change" ~ Gandhi  Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Shift your mindset and find fulfillment.Rebuilding a positive mindset. You are worth it! Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:www.suorosa.comwww.facebook.com/suorosa.mehttps://www.linkedin.com/in/su-orosa-9251b714/ Our Mentioned Influencers:Pending Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/FF7pK2I0uUA Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction08:45 - Yoga is really beneficial if it's done very actively as well. But this is the other side of yoga, if you talk about introspection, that's exactly where this Slow Yoga fits. It's a kind of going inward to look more inside your internal space to let the body breathe and to express itself.14:30 - That guilt of I need to be doing more because there's always more to be done. Because your job never ends. They'll say there's always something to do. At times it is a self-imposed feeling of actually I should be doing something.20:00 - It is about developing that self-awareness to realize, how am I feeling at any given point, and then allowing yourself some time to walk around the house, walk around kind of clear the air. Somehow go for a walk if you can, if it's your allotted daily walk, then go right now.30:00 - Relating to pescatarian or in Su's case vegetarian... So it's cool. I respect it. I tell people that listen, if you find something that works with your biology, your gut health, and you live a healthy, sustainable high energy life, then great!40:00 - Sometimes you have to go and not get so caught up with all of that, because life doesn't work like that. So it's kind of naming it as well to everybody knows this is a transition period, you know, things might look a bit different for now. Then we have to come together and reconnect. Same with clients. If we're online, and we never used to be online, maybe now we need to reconnect on what's okay, what's not okay.50:00 - Canceling of our prior course that I run with my husband, notifying everyone that they're all off while they've all been up for it, that was hard. But they've all got on board and the new course that I've just finished, that was for a college that I'm not working for anymore. A couple of those really strong students did really struggle, so that was harder. That was definitely harder because the lesson isn't for us all to just meet up, it's also how to meet yourself, where you meet yourself, and then try to come out with what you're familiar with, your comfort zones.59:59 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:Know that you have worth and that you are worth it. Basically, you're worth having a life, you're worthy of having a life that is lived on your terms, you're worthy of being you, the real you. Do not let anybody sway you differently or persuade you that you're not worth it. Ep 352Not Letting Low Self-Esteem, Abuse, and Trauma Dictate Your Future

E

Overcome Your Trauma, Defeat Your Narcissist, Rebuild Your Self-Esteem and Your Self-Worth:Sarah battled with low self-esteem in her younger years and suffered at the hands of an emotionally abusive husband. Refusing to allow her trauma to dictate her future, she now teaches others the methods she used to rebuild her life, bringing them fulfillment and helping them to fall in love with themselves again.Quote: Change your beliefs, change yourself, change your life.  Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:There is no excuse for accepting domestic abuse.Learn and understand who and what narcissists are.Motivate yourself to free yourself. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:facebook.com/sarah.griffiths.16144facebook.com/sallygcoachingfacebook.com/groups/HelpingYouHealAfterTraumaAndAbuse/http://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahgriffithssallyghttp://www.instagram.com/sallygrapidresultshttp://www.pinterest.ca/sallygRTT/http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA98T9QF9P226vP-NcgOV7g* Our Mentioned Influencers:Help Free Debbie from Domestic Violence on GoFundMe Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/wGRsTM33e58 Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - Shoutout to Debbie living with Domestic Violence and our GoFundMe to support here at bit.ly/freedebbie She's stuck in her current living situation, Sarah, with the guy who abuses her, not physically, but emotionally, psychologically, on a daily basis. He's an alcoholic, he's a drunk and clearly, somebody that I've ever met in the real-world since I might put him through a wall.20:00 - I realized that this was feeding into the existing issues, this was just confirming everything I thought I already knew about myself. The important thing is that I went to see a therapist, this is about four years ago now, who listened to me for a very long time. This was the first person to suggest that aside from my issues with my past, which I hadn't then dealt with, I was probably dealing with a narcissist.31:00 - What you see, what society teaches us, is this model of perfection and that we have to be perfect.40:00 - From there then he's got to do the work, the realization is just one thing. But then he's got all of these ingrained behavior patterns that he has to not just do something about, but recognize and uncover, and then do something about. There's a reason it's called doing the work, doing the inner work.50:00 - What we are talking about is motivation, because people will say at the moment, they don't want you to leave, and they probably don't want you to leave. Because that would be in your best interest. They're not thinking about you. They're thinking I don't want this person to leave. They'll see it as a failure in their life, not your life. Then they are thinking wait, I'm failing, because they're leaving me. That's gonna disrupt that perfection and some people don't want you to leave because they're addicted to the control. If you leave, they've lost control.53:40 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I think it's important for people to understand that they ARE a product of their childhood, but that they don't have to be who you were or who you were taught you to be. This does not have to define you and your past isn't your fault. There's a quote that is potentially relevant to a lot of people right now, which is that what obstructs the path becomes the path that I've always found incredibly helpful to remember. Another way to put it is that Ryan Holiday uses as one of the titles of his books is the obstacles away. In other words, what it is that we're facing is the thing that we're supposed to be facing. In The Face Of A Pandemic, Christmas City Spirits Launched Booze Sanitizer Ingenuity:IN THE SPIRIT OF HISTORY: Alcohol played a major role in colonial America. You could even argue that massive taxes on the trade were a trigger for the American Revolution. The Moravians bought their distilling knowledge to Bethlehem in 1741 and the craft has had a presence throughout the entire region ever since. A group of Lehigh Valley friends brings back the authenticity and history of this tradition with products made with local sources."We just felt like we were doing the right thing at the right time” – Quote ~ Brett BiggsCHRISTMAS CITY SPIRITS produces quality and authentic spirits, aiming to exceed the consumers’ expectations for a unique experience. You guys were listening and said, hey, we can't get bottles so let's go large volume and we'll go door to door truck style to the hospital to deliver it. So that's what we're doing.15:00 - You know, it's hard. I wish I had more hours in a day, to be honest with you about that. That's always a factor and that was the case beforehand. I'm a financial advisor by day I know, my clients need to talk through things and look at how their financial plans are dong. Which by the way, has been upended by a virus, which came completely out of the blue, it's crazy.22:00 - I think with success, America has become more divided. You know, for one reason or another, and this is a good reminder that, hey, we're all American. We're all in this together.29:00 - I've always loved the science of money and that's what I studied in school. It's fascinating to me, what it does, how it compounds, and everything else. From the simplest case of realigning somebody's debt and how to pay off credit cards and things like that, when working with their budget, to significantly detailed estate plans that involve very complicated mechanisms. It's all very interesting to me.38:20 - It's perseverance. A lot of people probably would just say, hey, we can do it once. Let's go home and do whatever. I don't sit still well and I don't like being told no. Which is so common for many of us. But there is always a way around it. You know, we've navigated legal systems and everything else to do what we need to do. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, they're tough to work with too, but within a week we figured out a lot of stuff with them. We're learning the processes there too.44:50 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I just see activity and you know, being forced, it is up to being an American and being able to start a business and work every day. If you're not happy with what you're doing in life, only you have the ability to change that. I think from a standpoint that this might be the opportunity, if you were working somewhere and got laid off, that it might be a time to start looking elsewhere. You need to be the backer of that change.Ask yourself, is it time to get educated in a different industry or whatnot? You just need to apply yourself, you know, the will to work will probably outpace almost anything, including even in jsome cases, education. You can easily outwork a lot of people. It just takes determination to do that. So get out there, do something positive, and we're going to get through this! Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Re

Ep 348Happiness, Health, Upskill Yourself, & Online Education

E

Health, Happiness, and Educational Upskills with Grant Aldrich of OnlineDegree.com:Grant founded OnlineDegree.com with a purpose-driven mission: make college more accessible and affordable for everyone. After graduating college with an overwhelming amount of debt, he was determined to change how students embark on their college education. Grant has spent his entire career working in startups with nearly 15 years of experience and 2 prior exits to a publicly-traded company. He has been a board member and donor to a number of non-profits, an advisor to many publicly traded companies, and a guest speaker at seminars and graduate school courses. He graduated with honors from the University of California Irvine in Economics."Know Thyself" – QuoteWhy The Project? We want to help millions of people go back to school who’ve been unable to take that first critical step. We believe in the value of higher education and the institutions of learning in our country. However, university and college education can still be too expensive and unapproachable for the majority of Americans. Normal distractions of work, bills, and home life often prevent someone from being able to dedicate the appropriate time and money to a traditional 4-year degree program. This has led to a rise in new marketplace offerings that attempt to bypass traditional universities completely…we think that’s a problem and unnecessary. Our solution addresses the issues of higher education’s accessibility and affordability and keeps students on a proper collegiate path.Student Debt…THE Crisis Of Our Time Student debt has now reached a level of epic proportions. At $1.34 Trillion in the United States alone, it’s larger than both Auto and Credit Card Debt. It places a crushing burden on young learners and often prevents working adults from getting the modern skills and education they need to improve their livelihood. We’re working tirelessly to alleviate that burden and help people get years back from their lives. It means someone could buy a home sooner, spend more time with family, or pursue the job of their dreams rather than working any job to meet their debt payments. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Cutting College DebtMillennials and Future EducationImportance of Health and Happiness Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://www.onlinedegree.com/https://www.onlinedegree.com/free-courses/https://www.linkedin.com/in/grant-aldrich/https://www.facebook.com/onlinedegreecom/https://twitter.com/onlinedegreecomhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/onlinedegree/  Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/bpTu6e7wO-U Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction07:45 - Yeah, I think that actually, the realization that education is going to go online was decoupled from coming up with the actual business model, because I knew for such a long period of time that online education is the wave of the future, just like it's changed every industry. It'll change dating. It'll change every facet of how we interact with one another and how we interact on occasion. I knew that was gonna happen and we see that in the data. I mean, higher education as a whole, it's a massive industry valued at around $700 billion.20:00 - You could literally possibly even get so successful, that you make more money than your parents while living in your mom's basement. There are all of these technological advancements that have created so much freedom. But to your point, I feel like we've lost some of the bricklaying as I kind of tried to connect with the whole highway bill, and then we've lost the foundation, right?28:00 - We have a ton of psychology and the mental side of that longevity factor of being healthy all the way up until the day you die. It's such a big factor. In fact, I wrote a, so I had children recently, I've got three kids under three and a half. One of the exercises I did was I wrote them a letter. I tried to incorporate this, that this is going to be for them although way down the road. I tried to incorporate a lot of wisdom into that letter. One of the key tenets, I'll boil some of it down, is that you have to live a life of happiness and one of the tenets of that is is health.40:00 - But things have totally changed. The community college system is really broken in so many ways because it's not so cheap and you still have to pay a decent amount. So it is not that accessible because it's a government institution and government institutions are always behind the times and they're not able to adapt quickly enough to make programs online.50:00 - It's sad too since there are good people in these organizations to that credit of that woman or a person who is with you. Yeah, there are excellent people and they're very determined. It's not their fault. The professors there, they may all be excellent. It's just the institution itself. I mean, it's government run and when we look at any other government run institution, the DMV, the Post Office, etc, the wh

Is Cancer Curable Now? Today's Health Podcast is with Marcus Freudenmann of Truly Heal:Marcus Freudenmann is the Producer of the documentary “CANCER is curable NOW” and the directors cut “TRULY HEAL from CANCER” and director of the TRULY HEAL academy. Marcus has dedicated his life to educating the public on how to perform therapies, which are proven to work in many international clinics and at home, saving patients money. Marcus travels regularly around the world determined to provoke change by educating on cause finding and alternative cancer therapies. Marcus offers Functional Medicine Health Coach education and support to thousands in the form of newsletters, webinars, courses and videos including the education of Ozone, PEMF and Hyperthermia treatments. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Pending Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://www.instagram.com/trulyhealwww.trulyheal.comhttps://twitter.com/Freudenmannhttps://twitter.com/TrulyHeal Our Mentioned Influencers:Pending Watch us on YouTube:Pending Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - Three different patients, three different treatment protocols, three different approaches to achieve the same issue, to get rid of breast cancer. That's when for the first time it dawned on me that instead of looking at the disease and trying to kill the tumor or trying to destroy the cancer, we look at the patient and actually look at their circumstances. That's when we started out to really make that big shift and put everything together. Since then, I've worked with the most outstanding doctors around the world who do functional medicine and we've put together a map. On our website, this map really shows all the different areas that we need to take. It starts really simple, like we've got health and gut health, which comes in so many different variations to graph too.20:00 - That's why if a patient comes in, they're in a critical situation, if I add on top of their critical, stressful situation, then a complete shift to a different diet. It may help but it also may not so that's why we are where we are in our approach, very scientific. You can just make blind recommendations, everybody does that today. All the internet is filled with blind recommendations though, it helps do this. Everybody tries out pretty much everything without considering their personal situation and that's why functional medicine goes a lot back into that area.30:00 - Let me just tell that one little story, if you go into a movie and you watch a movie, and there is an actor, and that actor gets into trouble, and then you stay with that actor and you wish for them, and you hope that they get through and then they overcome the problem and they come out at the end as the hero right? We love that in a movie! Well, if we look at our own life, do we love it? The same way if we get into trouble? Do we stand to our own character and say, well, we overcome the problem and we learn from it. We grow from it. No, we usually abandoned, we don't want to be associated with any of it. We want to push that away and that's something that I found as soon as we appreciate the problem. As soon as we embrace the problem and say, look, it is now part of my life and afterwards I'll be stronger and more powerful, well, then that's what we should do. Embrace the disease and not try to get rid of it.40:00 - The magnetic field that builds up, that is what protects our Earth from outside influences from the universe, from the radiation. It holds us on the surface. It's the magnetic field, and it's in moments between zero and 60 hertz. It's that natural rumbling of the earth and that is a frequency that we absorb. That makes our bones strong, that enlightens every cell, without EMF or without that magnetic field, we would not be able to survive. That's what they recognized when they went to space and the astronauts were away from the earth field of the Earth, and their health was going down, their white blood cell count was going down there, the whole body disintegrated. They're in a magnetic field that is increased in that ship to keep them healthy and they discovered benefits of pulsed electromagnetic fields. The static magnetic field doesn't have that influence. It needs to be that motion, that movement that couldn't see to enliven ourselves and that's what we recreate with the device.50:00 - Well, animals respond really well to PEMF, we do horses. There's no Derby winner, no race horse in the world that has not received PEMF, you know they are. If you have a whole site worth a million dollars, you will pay $20,000 for a device without a problem. Every racehorse is treated with PEMF, for example, you can correct that gate. You know, if they run a little bit sideways, one side, you know not in line. They can treat that by counter balancing the other side like repair sacral area which is very effective.56:50 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:We must learn to empower ourselves

She's got a valid point though, she's like, I already hear you in our home. You know, why do I need to listen to your show? I was like, it's not about me. It's about my great guest cohost like you Hilary. Then she's like, well, when you make it to Joe Rogan's level, I'll think about it.30:00 - Just let me be sick and feel guilty and do whatever. He's been amazing because we were going to Dallas one time, by the time we got to the airport, I was like, well, we're not going today. So he was like, well, can I can get a Starbucks before we go home. I'm fine to do that. So he has been an absolute dream and you just have to adapt in life.40:00 - I had to spend the next three months diving into shit, I took all my self-help professional development energies, and then bought all these online programs. Programs like, how to text your ex back and dumb shit like that. I'm not kidding.50:00 - You have to have a work ethic, you know, you have to have an attitude about being coachable. We have to have an alignment.60:00 - Three words I live by, if you remember from just skimming through the book, there was a hotshot creed that I learned. The three words, duty, respect, and integrity. They meant so so much to me that I tattooed them on my body.01:10:05 - He is like the acts of service category. That's what he is, acts of service love from the five love languages.01:39:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:So the meme that I was put, it was like a video really. So you want to be an entrepreneur or somebody said, I'm thinking about being an entrepreneur, and somebody else said it's gonna be like this. It showed this guy on an obstacle course, he's running across parallel bars, and he's walking on giant yoga balls. He's doing all of these crazy things like that show American Ninja Warrior. You are gonna get whacked off the podium and fly into a big vat of pudding. What it's like to be an entrepreneur, well, it's not that delicious at times. So you just have to get used to that idea. I'm going to continually be showing up to this obstacle course every day. I don't know what it's going to be and there has to be the thrill behind it. This ties into a good legacy message too and we talked about this kind of earlier too. Ep 344Healthcare or Universal Death Care and PTSD

E

Are We Getting Univeral Healthcare or Death Care?!As a Marine Corps Special Forces Combat doc fighting to save lives while dealing with mass casualty events and incoming rockets, to owning a busy medical clinic in the USA fighting to provide quality medical care while dealing with ill-advised government regulations, excessive profit driven policies by insurance companies, and price gouging by "big pharma,” Dr. Anderson has unique insight into what healthcare has become and what that costs each of us as patients.Quote: "of the people, by the people, for the people." When I turn my back on someone who needed my care and in trauma or something And tie all of that into American healthcare so that hopefully use them as parables if you will. Hopefully, we can start to understand the quagmire we're in especially now with this Coronavirus. I mean the best thing that you can do to protect yourself from the Coronavirus, maybe wash your hands and not be in the same room as someone. Next. Yeah. But after that, the best thing you can do is to be healthy, to have the right body mass index to not be overweight to eat. Well. Do you know last year they came out with a study that if you consumed more than four ultra-processed foods a day now that's your chips, your hot dogs, your sports drinks, your chocolates, your candies, frozen pizzas, those sorts of things? You had a 62% increased chance or increased hazard for all causes of death 62% and for every one ultra-processed food you added on top of that there was an extra 18 percent.14:30 - Between 50 and 85% of all healthcare costs in this country are spent on treating enormously preventable diseases. 50 to 85% of people say there's no money for universal health care in this country and they're 100% right with how things are with the fattest country in the world. We waste money on things that you and I were not a doctor and I didn't have the knowledge I had, if I went back in time, these are things I can handle. Most hate to admit that it's based on nutrition, just how I'm fueling my body, day in and day out could affect so much.19:20 - Physicians actually get paid less money if we do not prescribe a drug. We are incentivized to do so, so big pharma has bought the laws that say, hey, I can talk to you about peas and carrots, or maybe more carrots because they're more keto-friendly than I think a pea. But I'll talk to you more about what we should say, i.e. kale and carrots. Then if I were to write you medication for your blood pressure control, so the whole system I mean, if you look at the amount of money that's been spent on lobbyists for quote-unquote healthcare over the years it's astonishing. The cycle just keeps perpetuating and American culture, this entitlement culture of I can do whatever I want, I can smoke, I can drink, I can be 200 pounds overweight, and its somebody else's job to pay for it to make me healthy, and it's someone else's job to give me the right pill to make me help. That's not how it should work. It's about a lifestyle choice. It's about getting up in the morning and purposefully planning your day not just from a food perspective, not just from an exercise perspective, but also for how you're going to take care of your brain because that feeds the whole machine.25:00 - Listen, man, I have PTSD from Iraq and every single month I get up and I exercise, then I focus on how my day is going to go. I say, if this happens, this will happen, so it's a ritual now if you want to call it meditation if you want to call it prayer, whatever works for you, but I structure my day in that PTSD. Those really horrible stories, a lot of which I write in the book that

So what do you want to do? If they tell me I'd rather do a book than a blog post, then I know they're doing it for the fame because they want their name on the spine.20:00 - I remember reading a book a long time ago and it said just put on some lipstick and you'll be fine.31:10 - It's a brand, the red shield is a brand, the red Cadillac, a Christmas sign, that is all branding. So people who were in the marketing department help further that brand and then people give to that brand.40:00 - I don't like people spamming my inbox. So let's tell a story instead. That's what sells, you tell and sell but don't blast me. I'm gonna delete you.53:00 - For the listeners, they don't know that you have a cute little white puppy on your lap. Where you are going and who you are meeting matters, if you genuinely liked someone, like, I genuinely like Scott, make sure that you make those personal connections. Ep 342HRR Method with Wholistic Health Coach Dr. Andrea Blake

E

Wholistic Healing, LifeFORCE Energy Flow, and Chiropractic Care:Dr. Andrea Blake is the “Wholistic Health Coach” on an unrelenting mission to heal, restore, and recharge lives through the healing art of what she has coined as the “HRR Method.” Dr. Andrea empowers her community as a tireless advocate, speaker, and thought-leading healer.Quote: "Live life, love life, allow life, embrace life...just BE HERE FOR IT!"Sharing evidence-based truths, Dr. Andrea roots for everyone on their natural health journey, standing firm on her driving principle that God has equipped all people with “life force energy.” She charges forward to deliver her message that we are innately born with everything necessary to obtain and maintain health for living at our highest expression. It is the healing of not just our bodies but also our mindsets which Dr. Andrea strives for on her journey to heal, restore, and recharge lives. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Chiropractic Care vs "Traditional Medicine"Our Flow of EnergyWholistic Health Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:DrAndreaBlake.comFacebook.com/drandreablakeLinkedin.com/in/drandreablakeInstagram: @drandreablakeTwitter: @drandrablakePodcast: LifeFORCEnergy with Dr. Andrea Blake Our Mentioned Influencers:Public Relations with Pam Perry via PamPerryPR.com Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/w6w0Ogb9qec Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - I never really took a lot of Tylenol, Aspirin, Advil, and all these brand names of anti-inflammatories that we all just take for granted. The fact that we just keep pumping them down our gullets is not okay. It throws everything off, as you know, 70% of our immune system is in our gut. Our body is dependent on the proper healthy gut biome alignment and the body has to be able to handle anything that comes.21:30 - The most successful people out there can attest, if you're not embracing change, or remaining open to the influence of possible change for growth, you're not going to grow because you're just staying stagnant. It's like people are going to the MD day after day or week after week getting the same diagnosis. Then it becomes well, we haven't tried this yet, so let's try this drug and then let's try that other drug, etc, etc.30:00 - The wholistic side is definitely a big part of my business and brand because I believe healing is not just in one area. Chiropractic can't heal everything. It definitely sets the body up for better healing, it can set up the process to happen more optimally than without chiropractic. But there's also the nutritional factor and there is the physical factor the fitness and then definitely there's the mental game where everything happens. First, your mindset and then the spiritual comes in as well. So just being able to be aware of that healing and living holistically unhealthy optimally has a lot of different spectrums to it.44:00 - I like that broken wing concept. It's something that I guess it's a habit, but the mind is so powerful. It's whatever you say and think that's what's going to happen and especially with your body. I always say when I'm talking in my workshops, there are different areas, your cells are always listening, your whole body, your muscles, to whatever you say.52:50 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:Just thinking about Life, you know, holistically, taking it all in and letting it flow. Things have come to you and I believe in that the more that we allow our bodies to heal and you're able to let down resistance, we're able to think more clearly and set clear intentions. Really take care of ourselves in a radical type of way unapologetically. Things will just flow better and we don't have to work as hard to chase as much or worry as much. Life wants to kind of flow for us and to us, so we have to set ourselves up for that. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

Today we talked about Patriotic Entrepreneurship with Dyann and Jason of Skibinski Flag Company upon their delivery of my new Thin Violet Line wooden flags! This is a wife and husband dynamic duo who work the front lines of our respected medical profession. We love sharing the side hustle inspirations that turn entrepreneurial, especially from our local city of Bethlehem from the Great Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.Quote: "100% Handmade wood flags made by my fiancé and I." ~ Jason Skibinski Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Nothing comes easy.Learning to work together as married business partners.Life balance from jobs to a side hustle. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Skibinski-Flag-Company-473687793386642Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/skibinski_flag_company/Instagram: @skibinski_flag_companyContact Skibinski Flag Company: Phone- (610) 417-9616Contact Skibinski Flag Company: Email - [email protected]  Our Mentioned Influencers:Fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots: https://azstateparks.com/hotshots/the-hotshots/about-the-hotshotsOnly The Brave Movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3829920/Eric Marsh Foundation: https://ericmarshfoundation.org/ Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/eAlOvSC8J5k Watch us on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/livethefuel/videos/628878714513720/ Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - Our first flag was April of last year, 2019. Just getting around to a year at this. Not even at a year. You just fire you just finished your hundredth flag. Well, actually I'm actually at 103 right now.20:30 - We're going to be making the gun concealment flags and tables one day soon too. I made one coffee table that's in our apartment right now. When you're moving into a furniture price, that is another level.30:00 - I was hoping that was your shop. As soon as I saw that, I was like, look for the flag and you will find me. You have to peer through my patriotism to get into this building.40:00 - As of 2020 how many different flags are you making? I mean, I'm just gonna keep adding new ones. As you know, if anybody approaches me and they're like, hey, can you put this on, I just say yes. For example, like their department logos? I've done EMS ones with their custom logo. I have a guy actually in Arizona that makes the stencils for me. So it's one-time use until I start to get into that or I get Dyann into it.50:00 - That's again where she stepped into it when I was running myself dry in the beginning because I was going all over the place. If somebody lived two hours away and they reached out to me on Facebook, I'd be like, you know I can meet you halfway at an hour, right? So think about an hour there, an hour back, I was losing time and that's gas money. So she shut that down real quick.56:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:Jason:Honestly, I do provide for my wife and one day our kids, you know, I want to build something that they can be proud of. I want to be humble. I don't like to be like, hey man, these are the coolest flags, like yeah, you can find better flags out there too.Dyann:We came a long way and not even a year later he wasn't sure it was gonna come to anything. The first day he was like, hey babe, I want to do this, do you? A DIY project? I was just like, okay, and the first flag came out horrible. I won't lie. The blue was over here, the stars were all over the place. But his mom actually has our first flag. She kept that, she's gotta have the origins. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

We keep having this public policy debate and all these other things. There's some reality to that. But what we saw the real passion around was, as I mentioned earlier, flipping healthcare on its head. Instead of saying, why do we have to have people take care of people as patients, and disempower them, when what we can do is use this technology to empower people to actually self-manage their own condition. I mean, that's what you see people wanting to do.20:00 - So we think we are unique in that AI space. Absolutely. I won't be as bold as saying we're the only one because I'm sure there's some other app out there. I've never heard of. Yeah, but in terms of the people that we're talking to employers with and and the competitors are out there trying to do the same thing. Ep 338From Bankruptcy to becoming the FAIL Coach

E

Have Your Learned To Succeed Through Failure? Today We Chat With The FAIL Coach Himself, Miha Matlievski:One business coach has forged his approach to helping entrepreneurs and business executives by using a monumental personal failure and eventual redemption to help get others where they need to go to find their personal success and fulfillment. At just 18 years old, Miha Matlievski, a Slovenian high school dropout, dreamed of becoming a successful entrepreneur. And he pursued it with a passion, putting in 12 years of hard work that resulted in four successful businesses and a personal net worth of $15M.But in December 2009, an unexpected call from his bank, which had decided to foreclose on his real estate investments, brought his world crashing down around him. That one negative event instigated an avalanche of ruin for him and his businesses, resulting in his four, once-successful companies going bankrupt.QUOTE: Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value. ~ Albert Einstein Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Burnout AwarenessThe Power of SystemsThe Importance of Life Balance Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:Website: www.fail.coach Website FrameWork4Freedom program: www.framework4freedom.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/matlievski.miha Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/FailCoach Twitter: https://twitter.com/fail_coach Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/failcoach/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mihamatlievski/  Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/MnCPXZGW3eo Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - What you're building is a cascading effect of negative results because you can only go so long that way and then you're going to burn out. You're going to reach a point where referring to your website, "I was literally ready to throw myself over the balcony". I mean, that's a pretty strong statement!20:00 - The thing was, why all that happened to me, I was that crazy, winging it type of entrepreneur and not laying down any foundations. When I talk about those times, I always reference the Three Little Pigs story, and all my businesses were that first house made out of straws. When the first wind of crisis blew in, bam, it was a domino effect. Because of that, I went through depression, anxiety, darkness, suicide attempts, and so on. Until I had the aha moment and I was able to figure out that I had to take ownership of every mistake that I did in the past that led me to that failure. Then, I could start working on my personal goals and business development.30:00 - What I see with my clients is often, I see bigger things for them than what they can see. But that's because I was there where they weren't yet. So it's much easier to see and to set big goals, because, for me, eight figures, nine figures, etc, I was there. I know how to do that, I can do it again. That's the difference.40:00 - I was actually very stupid with my money, spending it like crazy because I could just keep making more at the time.50:00 - You are that momentum builder and you must create a system that can then move forward. If it relies on you 24-7, 365 days a year, then that's not scalable. You can't create the momentum to create a movement that can go around the world. You can't, you simply and physically can't. So I'm not expecting me to be the one who saves the world from failure. I just want to help. More people are talking about failure, yes, but they're still brushing it off too casually. This subject is very important.53:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I'm guessing a majority of your audience is entrepreneurs or future entrepreneurs. So I'll say this, the number one thing that you need as an entrepreneur is a healthy relationship with failure. That's one thing that you will be faced with a lot and you need to know how to deal with it. The second thing that's super, super important, is that you must build a foundation, and always go back to the foundation when you want to go to the next step. It's just like building a house. You start with a foundation, you don't start with the second floor. Then when you say, oh, now I want to make my house larger, you can always go back and make sure that your foundation(s) are in place for that bigger house. This same point goes for your business. I know it's boring, I know. It feels like oh, I don't need this. It's so, so, so important, especially if you want to have a sustainable, long-term, and profitable business. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

Ep 336BLUblox, Blue Light, and Aussie Health

E

Sleep Health, Eye Health, Infertility, Fatigue, and Blue Light Blockers with Andy Mant:In 2011, Andy began gaining a lot of weight, struggling with chronic fatigue, and always lacking energy. Traditional dietary approaches only worked to a certain degree. After stumbling across light and its relation to the body, Andy has since become a leading figure in managing light to improve health and wellbeing. Today, he is busy educating others on the science behind how light affects our diet, hormones, sleep, and even fertility, what we can do to take control and ultimately attain optimal wellness and health. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Put your health first.Ways to fight chronic fatigue.Blue light's negative impacts, along with green light. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://www.blublox.com/ https://www.facebook.com/BLUblox/ https://twitter.com/blublox1 IG: @blubloxofficial Our Mentioned Influencers:Mito-Hacker Dr. Jack Kruse - https://jackkruse.com/ Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/lEfke5dlgMc Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - So let me just think about sleep critically and so I dived into the literature and just found a lot of studies out there that show that specific frequencies of light after dark was messing up our sleep. A lot of the blue light frequencies are the focus but also the green light as well.20:00 - If someone sat in an office and there's artificial light on, you can't just put an app on. LED lights or progressive lights that are in your office are quite damaging. You have to take the appropriate action and wear blue light protection over your eyes as well in the office space. A lot of people want to wear yellow lenses in offices, but some companies don't allow it. They think they are sunglasses and advise that you can't wear those. They have no right though to determine your eye health. They're not sunglasses, so push back.30:00 - Ultimately, artificial light, light after dark aka after sunset is an inevitable thing these days. People don't want to just come home and sit around the campfire and talk to people. They want to watch the tele aka television or they might want to work on their laptops. Blue and green light are affecting us all these days and many people just say, well, I've got apps on my smartphones and all that.40:00 - So then what we did was we took 450 and we eliminated everything below it. So 100% is from 400 to 450, we completely eradicated that, and then we left 450 to 495 of the blue spectrum pretty much intact. So these are daytime glasses50:00 - I'm one of these guys that when I make a decision, I'm all in. I'm committed and I know that there are people out here hearing and watching this that aren't wired that way. But I have to remind people too that you can become wired that way you can get there tomorrow. It just starts by committing to make a decision.01:01:11 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I guess the final word for me is that we're an education brand first and that we just so happen to sell some products that can help with that education. We want people to not just rush out and buy glasses from anyone. We want people to research the science, have a look at the studies, have a look at the blogs that I'm writing, listen to the podcasts I've been on. Then make your own decisions as to whether you feel you need these glasses or what glasses you need.I don't want BLUblox to feel like it's in the industry, at the moment, as a company that's just selling blue light glasses. I want to come across as this empowering sort of organization that educates people and actually has passion behind its' products and its not just run by an entrepreneur trying to make a quick buck. I'm someone that wants to help and give back to those not just in need but those who have the ability to help themselves by listening and thinking critically about certain aspects of life and in this instance, obviously that starts with light. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

We went through all of that and narrowed it down to the basics. Then we hired an individual for us first. So we hired, gosh, tomorrow will be the anniversary, five years ago tomorrow.20:00 - So our clients had prepared two weeks' worth of work based on the individual, the American that this individual was replacing, and she went to Thailand. She thought she'd have plenty of time. Well on the first Thursday at 4 am the VA had done all of the work and she was like, oh my gosh, what do I do?30:00 - Their work ethic was through the roof and the guy was a self-starter. If he started running out of work, he would look at other areas of the business relationship to see what else could be done. I remember him, he joked around, he's like, there was some programming or some issues with the website and he just went and taught himself code and learned how to fix the website for himself. I didn't ask him to do that but he ran out of stuff to do.40:00 - What we do is have a client pick options. So I give you three. So let's say you're the client, Scott, if I give you three amazing people. Your general feeling is, oh my god, I love them. I like all three of them and a lot of times my clients will take more than one, one or two, but those three could do that job you need. So let's say you pick Jane. I'm going to work starting next Monday with Jane and we have different certifications. We've got customer service, front office, back office, we've got sales support, got accounting, it doesn't really matter. This certain person gets kind of a little bit caught up on the certification, but the reality of the certification is you can hide from somebody for eight hours, okay, you know, and you can put up a good front, you can't hide from me for 40 hours, you just can't. I'm going to find out you're a slacker. I'm gonna find out that you're not smart enough to do what we need to do.59:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I think if you've had a bad experience, don't let that stop you, don't let that fear hold you back. Yeah, we provide the easy button for people that want to do this. You don't have to learn to know everything, we do that, we've done it hundreds and hundreds of times, we have that great 97.2 success rate. We definitely know what it takes to be successful. I'm not afraid to tell a client that sometimes the problem is you, so let's fix it. We are very involved and if I think you need to do something different, I am going to help coach you through that so that you can have a better result, at least to the best of my ability. It's important to me, again from a kind of a personal place, that we provide amazing careers for the VA but we also provide amazing talent for our clients. The only way you can do that with human capital is to care and to be open to ideas and suggestions. Have a partner that really wants what's best for you. I feel Hiresmart, specifically, Mark and I, want our clients to experience what we know is possible because you've gone through it, as we've done it. It's never for us. It's never been about being the biggest, it was about being the best. So we're a boutique. We're not for everybody and we're not going to be the fortune 100 VA company. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

Ep 333Game Changers vs FAT Lifestyle Choices with Podcaster Trey Downes

E

This is a special reconnection session with Trey Downes of Your Superior Self Podcast:In this episode, Trey Downes returns and we discuss lifestyle choices, starting with diet. This is a jointly released podcast that he also shared on his own show back in February 2020. You can listen to me back on his show Your Superior Self on podcast episodes Scott is a repeat guest and you can listen to him back on episode #39. Visit https://www.yoursuperiorself.comQuote: There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self. - Ernest Hemmingway A super-condensed version of Trey's story: 3 years ago I was silently working in my career. Not really wanting anything different. It's funny, I'm not sure if the term is "woke" or "awaken", however; I became conscious of a burning need to be more. I can't really explain why, maybe its related to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, maybe I climbed the pyramid, and the last piece of the puzzle of the American Dream was self-actualization. Anyway, I started searching for external things to make me feel like I was growing. I started the podcast because I thought that I could grow it quickly and become rich and famous. I became "that guy" looking for sponsorships and quick ways to earn a buck for the podcast, to show that I was successful. I busted my ass and nearly lost everything, because of the need to prove myself. To make a long story short, I became aware of what I truly am, a source of higher consciousness. I became aware that "I" was creating goals, and those goals would never end. I would continue killing myself for the rest of my life trying to crush these goals that weren't "real". I mean "real" in the sense of fulfillment. The goals could produce physical rewards, but none would ever fill that bucket. The real reward is NOW. Right now. This sec. Can you be in this moment, with your body and mind, and just be. Can you create enough silence in your mind to hear your true self? My true self wants to be heard. The universe is helping me prepare my message. The podcast is my tool for growth. The podcast is teaching me how to be in the moment with some pretty righteous people from all walks of life. It's hard. To give yourself fully to someone you don't know, and to have an authentic conversation, where you show the other person who you truly are. No judging, just connection, and flow. These are some of the best conversations I've ever had. I really hope you enjoy them. There is no particular order, just find one that you like and binge the rest. Life is not about how much you obtain, it's about how much you learn. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Make educated and informed diet decisions. The Game Changers documentary film is bullshit.Veganism is barely sustainable without exogenous supplementation. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://www.yoursuperiorself.comhttps://www.yoursuperiorself.com/podcasthttps://www.instagram.com/tdownes80 Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/YfCcDbckZsE Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - He's like, why don't we take the scallops entree, the salmon entree, and my favorite, is the octopus tentacle because they roast it, it's amazing. So why don't we just put all three on a plate? I'm like, dude, you're talking my language, load it up. He's like, no sides, and I said you're damn right.20:00 - Obviously FAT A Documentary explains all of that around healthy fats. I wish Game Changers would have explained that better because fats are needed even in a vegan and vegetarian lifestyle. I don't eat fruit, let me clarify this. There are two pieces of fruit that I eat and they are fatty fruits, avocados, and olives. They're healthy fats. So they're not a sugar bomb from Mother Nature.30:00 - I've interviewed the biologists on that too. Again, they don't talk about this stuff in the Game Changers movie. They keep saying well plant-based proteins are just as good. Well no they are not, it's not biologically the same. I've interviewed the experts, so sorry, this lack of science points drive me nuts. When people just throw the surface level info out there and they don't back any of it up. They just move on to the next subject.40:00 - That's how we got this all started doing this month, two months, three months in crowdfunding fundraising. By pretty much two-three weeks, it was open longer, but I mean, we were ready to rip the lid off for like a good 60 to 90 days. Then as soon as they had enough money, he started hiring the film crew and getting everything in motion for FATDOC.50:00 - Think about it, if you go back 50 years, just think about how much sugar we actually had in our lifestyle back then. Look at the level of manufactured foods and preserved foods we have today on the shelves in a grocery store. The way my dad brought me up, it was simple eggs and bacon every day. My dad's now Type II Diabetic, he's overweight, and he's on diabetes drugs because he'

It was working for my uncle, picking up, and clearing off his farmland. I cleared off the land for him and I gave him my invoice for 20 hours and he gave me $100. I'm like no he's not very scalable out here, I'm never working for anybody else again including the wealthy you know entrepreneurial uncle I'm not doing it. I want profits which are way better than wages.20:00 - I think if younger generations are hearing this right now, and they will be, and watching this, we're not trying to criticize the parents here, the damage is already done. So if anything, there's a statement I learned from a company years ago was one of our missions or value statements, "We're all personally and collectively accountable for our results." So the keyword there is accountability. How are we going to take accountability for what we're going to do moving forward? Stop blaming the past, what are we moving forward?30:00 - We live with turnkey technology, within 18 months things are obsolete, if not 12 months. Especially if you just talk about computer hardware in general. I just spent $1200 dollars on an iPhone 11 Pro. What's up with that? $1200 dollars for a phone?! I just found that out at Christmas because I have a nine-year-old who told me that mine's obsolete now.45:00 - In reality we've taken all the costly mistakes, absorb them ourselves so that we're shielding the investor, the end investor from those times of costly mistakes they get to buy when they buy into our system. They're buying into all the knowledge and all the experience and all the mistakes that we've made over the last four years in this company. This is so they can buy a product that is third-party-inspected, twice, it's gone through multiple checkpoints to ensure quality.50:00 - There's is still a risk. I mean, there are still tenants in these places, and they're still human beings. There's no way you can accurately predict all human behavior. So really what we're doing is we're in the business of minimizing, not eliminating but minimizing the amount of risk that an investor would have, no matter where they live.57:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:Part 1: I'm just gonna use my, one of my favorite quotes is from Wayne Gretzky, a famous hockey player. You miss 100% of the shots that you don't take. I've learned this from my business partner who's very much probably more of a go-getter than I am. Just get out there and take your shot.Part 2: My last 23 years in business have been defined with failing forward So all of the young demographics out there, you guys better be listening. You're going to make big mistakes, you're going to fail, you're gonna up come up against things like you can't figure out. Statements like I don't know how to. You're gonna just get resourceful you're gonna figure it out, but be okay with failure, it's only permanent if you acce

Ep 331Scooch Back, Improve Your Eyesight, and End Myopia

E

Nearsightedness is increasing as a real problem with technology and our vision today:Jake Steiner (SHTY-nuh) is a passionate advocate for eye health with a unique perspective? that we can reverse myopia (AKA nearsightedness) naturally. After a billions-of-dollars revolution a decade of research, Jake compiled enough peer-reviewed academic data to back his hypothesis that we’ve been looking at myopia all wrong, that the 100-billion-dollar-per-year retail optometry industry is little more than a cash cow, that our eyes are not broken, and that myopia is reversible. He’s here to share his journey from a -5 diopter prescription to perfect 20/20 vision, as well as simple tips to help you naturally regain your perfect vision.Quote: As long as it’s not indifference. Indifference is myopia.  Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:Twitter: https://twitter.com/endmyopiaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jakeysteiner/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/endmyopia/Website: https://endmyopia.org Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/IBRMFAVlLRg Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - I was in the German national championships, I loved swimming, and my region was getting worse to the point where it was really really difficult to go swimming competitions because I just couldn't see anything. Right And back then like the goggles with the built-in correction weren't really popular at all also played water polo and that got killed because the ball just slowly kept turning into this yellow.20:00 - It's absolutely known that the wearing of glasses causes increasingly diminished eyesight. But if you go to an optometrist and you say, hey, what's causing my site to be bad? None of them will tell you this.30:00 - I can't stand when I see people at a family dinner and then you see the kids bring it with them to the dinner table. Then they get yelled at, well what do you expect? You trained them to depend on the iPad or that technology.40:00 - If there was a little bit more awareness because my only goal is to say, if you go to the optometrist, you realize you're making a choice. Like you're going to McDonald's, you're making a choice.56:20 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:Without realizing it at the time or without even being aware of it until somewhat recently, this pursuit of improving my eyesight is changing my life subtly, but kind of dramatically in the long term. Last month we spent time kite surfing in Vietnam. That's something I would have never thought that I'd be doing. Because over the years with glasses, I started believing that I'm clumsy and that I'm not really that athletic. This was a fear I developed, a kind of a fear of things and excuses. I lived in Nepal for a while paragliding too. Now I'm really into kite surfing and I'm enjoying aspects of like a physical connection to life, that for so many years I didn't have. It is all because I was in this long term pursuit of challenging my sight. It sounds silly because it was a nerdy thing. I wasn't trying to have a more interesting life. I was just like, I need to do things that challenge my sight, which led me to do these crazy things that now as I'm looking at it are really a defining part of my life. I'm doing awesome stuff because I'm enjoying my sight. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset

Garage Fitness, Learning DIY, Innovate, and Move Forward Together: Today's FUEL UP Saturday Podcast is a special live recording from your host, Scott Mulvaney's This Old Garage Project. Quote: “You can’t solve a problem on the same level that it was created. We all have a choice to find purpose and function for your family, for your friends, and yes, even for your business and your professional life. So if you allow all this negative energy to come in, you're only hurting yourself.09:00 - I'm hanging with you guys in my garage where I'm normally sweating, or teaching myself how to run new electrical or install radiant heaters or put my new workbench in or hang skis up. These aren't the reasons why I decided to record the show here in the garage. I didn't know how to do any of this. I mean, this is five years and I'm really proud of this.10:00 - Learning how to install these Rubbermaid FastTrack systems, I need to buy stock in this frickin company guys. All my tools are hung on these FastTracks, all of our bikes right here behind me, there are the shelves over there, etc. So these are all things you guys need to not look at me as an example, look at yourself, what can we do now to teach ourselves new things, to become bigger and better than we were before. If you allow yourself to be paralyzed by fear, or by what's going to possibly happen in the world, you're not going to get anywhere.13:40 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:I'll sum it all up, take positive action, and move forward. Stop holding yourselves back. Get innovative, get creative, and you too can create some positive change in this world. Because again, this pandemic will blow through and we're going to have a big problem with our economy. We need to recover and if you're not going to help do that, you're just gonna be in the way. Ep 329Stop Being a Selfish Bitch and the Blue Lotus Mind

E

Today We Discuss Blue Lotus Mind, Radical Love, and the Selfish Bitch: QUOTE: "If we were to do all the things we were capable of we would literally astound ourselves" -Thomas Edison You may know Tiffany Toombs as the international speaker and leading expert on rewiring the unconscious mind for success and tapping into your personal potential. For over 20 years, Tiffany has entertained, educated and transformed the lives of thousands of people across the world. She is the author of Stop Being A Selfish B*tch – A Comprehensive Guide To Living Your Best Life Through Radical Self Love, best-selling self-help.Tiffany’s clients and course participants experience undeniable results – showcasing over and over again that our unconscious mind can be our most powerful asset – when we truly understand how to make it work for us.Tiffany is a sought after speaker and has been invited to speak on numerous global podcasts and stages – including speaking at an event run by Marshall Sylver – the world’s most televised hypnotist. Through education, Tiffany empowers people to understand why and how they have become stuck in the past and how to take action in all areas of their life, in the present moment to completely change their lives in a positive way forever.Tiffany is currently focused on her personal life mission to change the world by empowering 1 million people to live an intentional life that is aligned with their deepest truth, every day. With this mission in mind, Tiffany has created a range of programs and products to help people around the world tap into their unconscious potential and create a positive ripple effect through their individual communities. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:www.bluelotusmind.comwww.facebook.com/bluelotusmindwww.instagram.com/tiffanytoombswww.youtube.com/c/TiffanyToombs Our Mentioned Influencers:Louise Hay of Hay House Publishing Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/VVhLaBCXoz4 Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction10:00 - I found myself having to deal with the fallout of that alone. Then as it came out that he was a compulsive liar and all this other nonsense, I actually ended up miscarrying the baby. So then that was like a whole new emotional depth that I hit. There was a point where I considered ending it all, I was literally seconds away from stepping out in front of a taxi to just because it was the only way I could think of to end my pain.20:00 - I have people whose parents gave them everything growing up, except their time. People who came from nothing, they got plenty of time but gained negative money beliefs. So we all have challenges that we have to face. They show up differently from one another and I think as a society we need to stop judging each other. Whether you were from the good side of the tracks or you were from the bad side of the tracks or you're this religion or your this political affiliation. When we strip it all away, we all have the same funnel, mental challenges, and stresses with fears that we have to overcome if we choose to do the work.30:00 - So some of the things that I like to recommend to people like if they're not able to work with a coach, such as myself, is to actually go through the process of offloading.40:00 - Ultimately, pain is our greatest catalyst for change. Sometimes it takes the painful moments, for me, it was more so the miscarriage for me that triggered it but also the infinite possibility with my ex to say, you know what, I don't want this type of relationship.50:00 - So maybe the virtual thing is the way to go. The Limitless League is probably the one that most people join.01:01:40 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:We are all here for a reason. I think that the most important part of a self-development and self-healing journey is figuring out what that reason is. It's going to be a little bit different than your why. I look at it as what is the legacy or what is your purpose in life. Because that gives meaning to everything else that you do. It makes decisions easier to make. It makes it easier to get out of bed in the morning. It makes Monday mornings more fun to look forward to. If life was a road trip, what is your ultimate destination? Like when you are on your deathbed, where do you want to have arrived? Because that's going to give intention and meaning along with energy and light to everything that you do. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a Review Join our private Facebook community The FUEL UP Mindset, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/fuelupmindset

Ep 328From Marketing To Health Enthusiast Turned DNA Coach

E

Karen Kelly Transformed from Marketing to Health Enthusiast, Turned DNA Coach:Karen is a former marketing professional, turned teacher, turned self-taught health enthusiast who has turned away from the standard American diet and lifestyle as well as the current model of Western medicine to treat and reverse a variety of medical conditions, some more serious than others, for both herself and members her family.Quote: "Just because something is common doesn't mean it's normal." (paraphrase of a Robb Wolf-ism)  Truth be told, she has no formal health or science education, so if she can tackle the mess that is our current state of health and wellness then so can the listeners of this podcast. She lives in Boston, MA with her husband and son and works as a DNA coach for Dr. Anthony Jay at his company, AJ Consulting, which is based in Minnesota. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Negative impacts of estrogenLearning more about EndometriosisDNA Coaching Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:linkedin.com/in/karen-kelly-741203185 Our Mentioned Influencers:Dr. Anthony Jay Ph.D. of AJconsultingcompany.com Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/12DXQXySAQg Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction04:30 - We had a lot of just table conversations about health and wellness. He knows my story pretty well. So when he started to grow AJ consulting he decided to add on the coaches so that people could get access to this. He gave me the opportunity to join in and I mean, if you think the guy is great, and you really respect what he does. He's remarkable and he's doing some great work and I'm psyched.12:35 - The truth is that we talked about this a little bit before, I love that he didn't go to medical school. I love that he became a biochemist, and it's doing things this way because it gets him out of that sort of rat race of like, prescribe and then kick them out of your office and prescribe and kick him out. He does great work and he's impacting people on a grand scale. He can't do it all and people were having to wait months to speak with Anthony.20:00 - I always pronounce it wrong as a shotgun but it's the chagrin progress. Chagrin meaning this is too bad and tonic being like this is how we solve it. So he does address the series which is called Chagrin and Tonic. He has more books under that series ready to come out. Estrogeneration is the title of this book.30:00 - People are sort of looking at the risks associated with IVF. All of the drugs that you're putting into your system to achieve that. Like we were just saying, of many people are suffering from infertility. People are willing to look at this thing called natural procreate.41:40 - So he basically did a revision on his software, and it does go a little bit deeper. So I have never seen any of the documents from his old software. I just wanted to say this to clarify the improvements. The look and feel of it looks the same as far as this is a style. I'd have to bring up the different report and put them up with side by side.48:45 - So it's just the sweat as long as you're sweating it out of the bike rides are probably the best because you're in the heat too.01:04:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:The only message I can give is for people to not be afraid to hold themselves and their medical professionals accountable for what's going on in your own body. You don't have to settle for somebody telling you something that you feel like is insufficient. But you do have to be accountable for finding the information yourself. A lot of it's out there. So you just be your own advocate. Action Steps:Support our 501c-3 non-profit and visit http://fuelfoundations.orgHelp us reach more people with 5 Star Reviews, visit iTunes and Submit a ReviewJoin our private Facebook community The FUEL Tank, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheFUELTank/

Ep 326Cancer Survival, Nutrition, and Microbiome

E

Today's Health Focused Podcast Hits Deeper on Nutrition, Your Microbiome, and Cancer Recovery:Cathy Biase is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Cancer Coach who is dedicated to helping people understand the power that lies at the end of their fork. A breast cancer survivor herself, Cathy specializes in the functional application of nutrition for root cause health improvement for chronic disease, with a particular focus on cancer care. Through TV, speaking engagements and working one-on-one, Cathy educates people on topics such as nutritional support for cancer patients, managing side effects of allopathic cancer care, the Microbiome and its links to health, immune support, improving gut health and cancer coaching.Quote - “I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” ― Carl Gustav JungCathy has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto with a major in Psychology. She is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is a Certified Professional Cancer Coach. She is also currently the host of The Health Hub, a radio talk show and podcast covering various aspects of Integrative Health. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Importance of NutritionDeeper Value on MicrobiomeSurviving Cancer and Recovery Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://cathybiase.comhttps://twitter.com/cathy_biasehttps://www.facebook.com/cathybiasenutritionhttps://www.instagram.com/cathybiasehttps://www.linkedin.com/in/cathybiasenutrition Our Mentioned Influencers:Vinnie Tortorich of Fitness Confidential at vinnietortorich.com Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/xEE6xGYdlT8 Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction05:55 - So I am not a doctor. I stay within my scope. I work on lifestyle and nutrition pieces, especially within the cancer realm. These pieces are not often seen in a medical allopathic protocol. So this is a huge piece that gives cancer patients ownership of a part of their protocol. If you've been through cancer and you've been through any disease, it sort of takes over your life. You are inundated with tests and results, you're pulled into a medical system and you can feel like you've lost control. So the integrative piece allows a person to work with their lifestyle with their nutrition, working in things like circadian rhythm and the microbiome and things like this to really impact their overall health. It's far beyond just nutrition.11:35 - With the coming of the understanding of the microbiome, in my opinion, since we're going down this path, there is a necessary avenue now for the medical profession to have to open up the idea of the impact of food and the impact of sleep. Not that they don't value those things, but the impact that it has on the microbiome is becoming more important. Now the camaraderie that we're seeing with so many diseases is improving too. Hopefully, the handshaking will be a little bit better as we move forward because we do need each other.10:00 - Some people are happy to get rid of symptomology. So we are educating people and some people won't feel comfortable going that way or talking to doctors, which is fine, too. But, you know, for those who really want to get deeper into their own health and really be the captain of their own ship, this is the way to go.20:00 - So I have four kids and I think within 10 seconds, I had gone through how they would be without me. I just wish I hadn't done that, it took me a couple of weeks to turn it around. I'm going to put my head down, I'm going to do the best I can and that's what I did. So a year later, I was finished and what I saw, you know, I had to line up for my appointments, I had to line up to check-in, I had to line up for everything. This was all in a line of cancer patients.25:00 - Was this one of the biggest inspirations behind you becoming a cancer coach? Yeah, I fought it too. I didn't think I wanted to go back when I was going through nutrition, I kind of went back and forth if I wanted to do it. So many things just aligned that I thought you know, this is where I'm supposed to be going with this.35:00 - I think that's the inspiration behind us doing all of this. This isn't about me patting myself or you on the back. It's about the fact that I'm trying to get the listeners to understand that we didn't plan any of this. None of it. Now we can actually pass on the knowledge that we are acquiring along the way.40:00 - When you're in the throes of a very harsh disease, there's a lot of complication going on. So it's one of the things that I do, I think when it's dealing with cancer patients, I think probably the thing that I bring most to the table for them is an understanding. A true understanding of being on that side of the field. So I know their fear. I know what's going on and I can relate. They're not just talking to someone who's been educated and I've been educated on their level.46:30 - I went from one family doctor that never tested anything and was all symptomat

You can work out in your basement, do it in your garage, you can do it in your driveway. Do it in your kitchen, borrow kettlebells, dumbbells, etc. I mean, the cool thing is, you don't even need that equipment. You could do bodyweight training too my friends!10:00 - This is something I'm gonna push hard in the coming weeks in the business sectors that I'm connecting with. One of the biggest sectors I work in is the HVAC industry and there's a lot of guys that aren't very tech-savvy. I'm happy to train them. I'm happy to teach them because it's time to level up man.15:00 - The waitresses and waiters, they're going to come in and clean the restaurant right now. He's the author of "The MaxCoders Guide to Finding Your Dream Developer Job." He started podcasting in 2008. The podcasts he produces reach more than 80,000 developers every week. Chuck lives in Utah with his wife and 5 children. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:With Risk Comes Success75 Hard = Mindset and FortitudeSet Your Goals High With Effort Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:NEW Book: The MaxCoders Guide To Finding Your Dream Developer Job - https://amzn.to/2Jrh5A8https://devchat.tvhttps://www.facebook.com/DevChattvhttps://twitter.com/cmaxwhttps://instagram.com/charlesmaxwood Our Mentioned Influencers:Andy Frisella: https://andyfrisella.com/pages/about-andy-frisella#75Hard: https://andyfrisella.com/blogs/mfceo-project-podcast/75hard-a-75-day-tactical-guide-to-winning-the-war-with-yourself-with-andy-frisella-mfceo291What is 75 Hard: https://75hard.com Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/uh5tFnSOoIc Timestamped Show Notes:00:30 - Introduction14:50 - I typically get the airfare and hotel covered. I wind up paying for the food for events.19:00 - Yes and no, the part that's the no is the fact that it involves effort, right? It's easy to say, and it's hard to do. Sometimes you really don't know what the right thing to do is? For example, I got a blister, but I'm not an expert. There are other experts out there that I can go talk to, there are solutions. There are ways to figure out what's going on. If you're in an industry like podcasting, it's still pretty young. So sometimes there are people out there and sometimes there is nobody out there.21:00 - Marathon training. At one point, my wife was frustrated because I went running at a time she wanted me to be doing something else. So we had a conversation about it. She's like, yeah, you need to keep running. So we worked it out. So then I was running longer and longer, my Saturday was running 16 miles. So then I did it and I completed the marathon.25:00 - So let's look at the book, right? I've been talking about it. Do I get the book do I not? What's gonna happen? I finally said you know what, if I put some money behind it, it'll force me to do something with it. That was my switch flip for me.28:00 - You also did something a little crazy beforehand to get yourself ready for the marathon. Something called 75 hard. It was pretty viral online. Your journey on the 75 Hard was not easy. Yeah, I think all told I did like 120 Hard after the restarts.34:03 - I had a month and a half's worth of money in the bank. I just told my wife, look, if we run out of money and we can't pay the mortgage, then I'll go take a job. I'll do a job search simultaneous with my client search and it just worked out. We never ran out of money.40:00 - I don't know why I didn't do it sooner, but eventually, I got around to changing my tweet to If you're finding me for the first time, go listen to the podcasts. At that point, the other thing that had happened was all of my defenders came out. So when things first went down, I had a few people come to me privately and say, look, I'm with you, but I can't get involved.50:00 - In this case, being quiet was actually the right course of action. A lot of these other folks came out, but it also made me feel better because I realized that I had all these people in my corner? I wasn't alone dealing with this, which made a big difference too.55:00 - Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:So I've kind of been joking that I kind of accidentally found my way into podcasting, and I kind of accidentally found my way into being a software developer too. But what it really boiled down to was I found the things that I really, naturally enjoyed and felt like I could succeed at. I guess if there's just one thought over the last, what 13-14 years that I've been either programming or podcasting is that every time I try and do something that's not who I am, you know whether it's not standing up for something I believe in or not going after something that I really want, or not trying to build something that matters. I'm not happy, right? So if there's one real message that I can put out there to people, it's hey, go out there and take a chance on the thing that you love. See if you can make it work. Because in a lot of cases, what happens is, you take a couple of steps into the darkness, and then you realize there's a whole path leading up the mountain to where you want to end upI don't know if that works for everybody. But it seems like most of the people that do extraordinary things, that's kind of where they end up, they find that place where they belong, they find that thing that really lights up their spirit. Then they go and do it. They stay true to themselves while they do it, and it pays off. I don't know how

Ep 323Firefighters, Gut Health, the Health Fix Podcast with Dr. Jannine Krause

E

Discussing Colorado, gut health, firefighters, wellness, and more:Dr. Krause is a doctor of naturopathic medicine, an acupuncturist and podcast host dedicated to empowering people to take charge of their own health. Her unique approach is simplifying natural medicine and healthy habit formation. My Favorite Quote This Week: "I just googled my symptoms and it turns out I need acupuncture". She believes that health starts with what we eat, how we move and how well we manage stress. She wants to help prevent little health issues from becoming big ones down the road. She's committed to slowing down the aging process and wants to help others with this too. There’s a lot of health information available out there, and she's here to help people focus on what’s important and sustainable for them. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Antibiotics and Probiotics in relation to Gut Health.Medical vs Naturopathic vs Functional Medicine.Write down your systems and pay attention to them. Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:https://doctorjkrausend.com https://www.facebook.com/docjkrausend https://www.instagram.com/drjanninekrause Watch us on YouTube:https://youtu.be/-D8N1CxFn3ATimestamped Show Notes:00:30: Introduction10:00: I started rock climbing this year and I thought that was a good idea. I decided that that would be part of my getting older and mobility. I love it because I was doing CrossFit too.20:00: So it's just strategic looking when someone is doing dry needling. They're going after the trigger point in the muscle. So they're going to take that needle, and they're going to go directly for the trigger point. It's not an acupuncture point, let's put it this way, some acupuncture points happen to be trigger points, but typically they're not acupuncture points.34:00: If you legit know something's wrong and none of your tricks are working, I usually would say it's time to go talk to somebody. It doesn't matter how tough of a guy you are, I know, I fight with the firefighters too. I see this in my practice, I'm like, I don't care. I'm not gonna make fun of you. You've got to pay attention to science because if you blow it off too long, it's gonna be a big problem. That's what I do, I try to save people from the big problems that come up.40:00: The top of antibiotics can be sensitive. My sister in law is on a really hardcore antibiotic right now. I know most people go into the grocery store and are making the guessing game on their probiotics. You should take something while you're on the antibiotic because you're just thrashing your gut bacteria and that is ravaging that.50:00: For folks listening out there, medical doctors can be functional medicine focused too. I think for a lot of people, we get a little confusion in terms of our medical doctors vs functional medicine doctors. Naturopaths can also be functional medicine doctors and actually, we can be both. It's just additional education. 54:00: Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:The two best things that I'd like to have folks hear and no matter whether they're my patients or anyone listening to your podcast, or my podcasts, anyone out there in the world paying attention to the little things, little symptoms that show up that are nagging you day in, day out... Write them suckers down and pay attention a little bit to when they're happening. Then either if you're not comfortable with the MD, find a naturopath, find a functional medicine doc or naturopath and ask questions. Why am I having these symptoms, investigate it further? I'm a fan of Google doctoring.

He says, there are only a few things or virtually nothing that will motivate humans as much as seeing progress. So you have to have a why. Then when you put in the effort, you want to be met with momentum and progress. Otherwise, it's very discouraging.20:00: We need to know what your body type and goal is, that's going to massively influence our approach. Just because two people are of similar stature doesn't mean that we're going to approach it the same way. They may have very different goals. I need to know about your lifestyle. So even as simple as carbs role in your diet are going to be influenced by your lifestyle.29:30: Just for representation, we'll discuss this based on thousand calories a day. That will help illustrate this well. Now on this island, are skinny people, fat people, men or women, young people or old people, everything. We're going to give them all 1000 calories a day. Then we pick them up a year later. Every single person that comes off that island, their new metabolic rate is 1000 calories a day they are burning exactly what they're taking in or they don't come on.42:00: They want to know, well Angelo, what is MetPro? Is it high carb or low carb? Is it a gluten-free or a dairy-free thing? Is it vegan? Is it vegetarian? So just so that all the listeners understand, we actually go right down the middle. We're diet agnostic.51:00: We have a lot of entrepreneurs, a lot of guys and gals in their mid to late 40s and into their 50s. They all have successful careers and they call me up saying, you know, what's important to me now is my health. I want fitness, I want health. It comes back to the old adage of the ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you recognize this is an area that you can improve in, oh my gosh, the rest gets easy. All of my business entrepreneurs, all of my people that attack their career with passion, they will all tell you they're more profitable and they are more productive with their health. They feel better about all areas of their life when they respect themselves and take care of their health and their fitness.53:00: Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:There is always the next step to keep learning. At its core, there's nothing that frustrates me more than when we are referred to as a weight-loss company. Yes, 85% of our clients are the reference that you made, with broken metabolism, that's exactly who we work with. But that's not what lit my fire and got me into this. I am edgy and I'm passionate about education. So, if you can learn more about how your body responds, you have the ability to accomplish things, strategies, techniques that can go with you a lifetime, so never stop learning.

You know, when a mosquito bites you, it hurts. You know, when somebody pinches you, it hurts. You know, it's very easy to cut yourself. We're actually delicate creatures.20:00: You got to physically survive, you have to understand how the world works and how to cheat other people better than you how you get cheated. All of the skills we learn for managing our physical existence on the planet, you're building up your senses.30:00: You have the possibility to change your program, and that deep place of peace, love, joy, contentment, and wholeness. That place has never been affected by what affected your body, your mind, and your emotions.40:00: So you can't be in your head in order to be fully present experientially, in all of your being and your surroundings. When you're fully present in all of your being and your surroundings, figuring out what to do when things happen. It's not complicated. Because you're doing it, you're filled with joy, you're filled with love, you care for life, whatever needs caring for whatever needs uplifting, whatever needs to be protected and saved.49:00: Final Words Our Final Words of the Show:You get this gift and if you don't unwrap this gift, you don't open it up and really get what you've been given, it's a wasted gift because nobody else can enjoy it for it. So this should be to me, the most normal, the most rewarding thing a human being can do in their life. I just say make time for it. Make time for you, make time for all kinds of crazy shit. Make time for this.
