By the way, the word of the day is уделúть внимáние, or to focus on. Literally, it is translated as to give attention to. Another useful collocation is уделúтьврéмя, т.е., to give time to smth.Кстáти, слóвом сегóдняшнего дня явля́ется уделúть внимáние, или to focus on. Буквáльноэто перевóдится как to give attention. Другóе полéзное сочетáние - уделúть врéмя, т.е., to give time to smth. But let us return to our today's topic of the lesson. Однáко вернёмся к тéме нáшего сегóдняшнего урóка. Let us start with defining what abbreviation is. Давáйте начнём с тогó, что определúм, что такóе аббревиатýра. Abbreviation is a shortened form of a written word or phrase.
