280. How to Relieve Headaches and Stomach Issues With Reflexology, Massage and Castor Oil

YouTube: https://youtu.be/zg_HBGDESwA Gaby Piccirilli is a holistic health professional and founder of Regenerative Pathway Therapy. Gaby who specializes in treating ailments from the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional sides sat in with the Heal Squad for a special two part episode. Life is always on our side as well as one giant school. Feed your mind, daily. Build the life you want through thought. The 62 page book written in 1903 entitled 'As a Man Thinketh' can give you all life's answers just by reading one page everyday. Journaling, being alone in nature, improved diet, volunteer work, giving to others and giving them foot massages could be all the therapy you need. You don't need to spend a lot of money on therapy - you mainly have to be in this state of mind. Castor oil, cloth and hot water bottles can heal you and supplements may not always be the answer. Your mind is there to protect you but doesn't have the answers to your healing like your body does. It's easy to guess why Gaby Piccirilli and all her info, tips and tools had to appear in two episodes. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 17: Post Pandemic Behavior Awareness and How Caring What Others Think is Proven Illogical

Hey Regular Guys and Gals, we fooled em again - made it through another week! And what a week it was as Kev and Kels host the show from separate coasts (thank you zoom and technology!) You can never go home and every time you go on a trip you come back a different person. We need to be there for those who suffered loss without them knowing we are there. It's all about perspective and owning the positive truth in order to get more of the same. You don't know a homeless person's story and when you come back into this new world, you may want to check yourself. Oh, and there is proof as to the illogic and insanity of caring what others think - today more than ever. Kev's fave age group are millennials. Kels IS a millennial. 2 star Apple podcast ratings can kill RGF. If you don't get say Bye Betches right the first time, just say it again. Nick sat in with the Heal Squad for a two part episode to share a near endless list of life lessons and tools to achieve success and fulfillment. Part Two: Perfectionism is the lowest life standard. Perfectionism is the procrastinator's way to be successful. The past doesn't define you, only the present. Love family and friends but choose your peer group. It's not lack of resources, it's lack of being resourceful. Victim mindset gives you love and attention....at first. The brain is always trying to prove itself right. Stand guard at the door of your brain. Visualization and neuron mirroring. Fearful states lower your life. Here in part two, Latham discusses how to achieve mindfulness, morning rituals and breathing. Then she got serious! We learned how fences keep good neighbors, external messages that turn us away from ourselves and becoming our own masters. We learn why bubble baths and mommy juice (wine) may not be enough for true acts of self care. Most importantly, perhaps, we learned about 'callings' in life. How do we find our callings and purpose? 274. Maria Menounos’s 1st Time Opening Up After Mom’s Passing; Talks Caretaking & Her Grieving Process

YouTube: https://youtu.be/rOvbXo3wH00 Our fearless leader Maria returns to open up about her mother Litsa's passing for the first time. In this emotional episode, we learn about Maria’s journey of caregiving, grief and self-growth. Maria discusses her own health issues as well as her intervention from none other than Heal Squad friend, Gabby Bernstein. Like many caregivers, Maria not only tirelessly grinded day and night to make Litsa as comfortable as possible, but also never slowed down her work schedule, leading to health issues of her own. Only recently did she have the life-changing revelation that she was a gas tank running on empty. So, under the strict instruction of her friend Gabby Bernstein, Maria shares the importance of taking mental health breaks, standing your ground when working with other caretakers, accepting God's plans, coming to peace with death, and understanding that there is no right way to mourn. Maria opens up about trusting your instincts, even when medical professionals tell you otherwise. Maria also shares a lesson that brought her immense peace: the soul is eternal and ever-present and therefore, even those who have passed will always be with you. Maria discusses her gratitude to this show's audience for standing by her and the show as well as what the future may hold. Whether you have lost a loved one, are losing one, or just want to be there one day someone you love does fall terminally ill, this is an episode you do not want to miss. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

David discusses the importance of finding meaning in passages, and in grief, to help cope. He also shares there is no means to fix grief because grief is not something that is broken. He also discusses the things to say and do when helping others cope and how anger is pain's bodyguard and what to do with anger. The notion we have become 'judgement machines' is covered, as is the very real concept of afterlife and why people on deathbeds see loved ones who have passed. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

272. Psychic Jae Rae on What to Expect During The May 2021 Supermoon and How To Prepare For It

YouTube: https://youtu.be/TN_L8RzlY3M Clairvoyant and psychic to the stars, Jae Rae, sat in with the Heal Squad for the second half of our two part interview. Jae Rae shares the recipe for disaster in looking to others to find our own happiness. She explains 'Destination Happiness', how many of us buy into it and the MANY pitfalls involved when doing so. We learn about not stepping into other people's karmas and, often, our trying to help and fix people is only interrupting their life lessons. Instead of being a victim post dilemmas and bad news, realize there is a lesson the universe wants you to learn. Find that lesson and apply it. The first 4 minutes of your day can affect whether you're going to have a good one or bad one. Bad news finds you fast and if someone isn't in jail or dead and hasn't called you, then they don't want to talk to you. Replace the word anger with fire, the arts lift us all, supermoons and crazier days are coming and after that: fun and harmony. Jae Rae opens up about her own journey: her father's heroin addiction and why his own psychic gifts led him to succumb to said addiction. She discusses how dark entities can enter our bodies and what we can do to thwart them as well as how dark individuals, generally, either avoid her OR attempt to glom off her power. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 15: NEVER Interfere in Other's Lessons, Try to Go Home or Deny Being a Kween

Hey Kweenz! Happy Regular Guy (& Girl) Friday. We fooled 'em again - made it through another week. Kev and Kels were joined by new Gen Z staff member, Pooja, to cover the usual array of topics. An impromptu "Kween and Greet' is proposed for this Saturday Night up in Boston. A startling 'Krisis of Kweenz' ensued where Kev revealed how him being a Kween was recently called into question. Pooja relayed new, Gen Z vocab terms to maintain your inner Kween: Gas, Choogey, Cap....Soggy, Krisp. Kels went deeper on how to salute with 'bunny ears.' The trio also talked about a ghost (Kev's dad) visiting an interview they did this week. When the subject came up, we kid you not, a sign mysteriously fell in the studio. Is Kev's Dad a Regular Guy Friday fan, too? The first few minutes of the morning dictate your happiness. Steve McGarret from the original Hawaii Five O a fine model but only to a degree. 20th century vs. 21st century work practices. College graduation is something to grieve but not fear. Grief is something all are entitled to BUT with grief should come perspective. 'Post-Prom' events should be a thing for the classes of 2020 and 2021. There's advice for college graduates entering this wonky employment environment. You can NEVER go home yet many of us spend our lives trying to 'go home' like addicts chasing their first great high. Do not interfere with others' lessons or karma. And while Pooja proved she can school Kev and Kels on many of the kewl Kween lingo of the day, she signed off with a Bye "BITCHES." Luckily, Kels made the save, reminding her that it's 'Bye BETCHES!' before asking for more itunes comments and then leaving us all on a cliffhanger: will there be a Boston Kween and Greet Saturday night? Regular Guy Friday Ep. 14: The Art of 'Non Negotiation' and Being Krisp

Hay Kweenz! We did it again. We Regular Guys and Gals made it to another Friday to discuss the usual variety of important and not so important topics. This week's RGF included discussion on seeing friends differently when you begin to evolve and other challenges involved. Kev shared a spark-note therapy session and formula to apply to 'said friends.' Winston Churchill taught us how we negotiate with others when we don't even know it and they do! The tale of the scorpion and frog came up as Kev and Kels bantered about those who just can't help but be who they are (scorpions) and how to be aware of the scorpions lurking in our own lives. Kelsey discussed acupuncture and seeing light. Just when it seemed like smooth sailing, Kelsey confessed to creating the term 'bish' (short for bitch) which horrified Kev who reminded us of 'Kweenz Rules' and the amendment that Kweenz don't lead, they follow! Kels recovered by offering a new, popular Kween term and re-taught us about snapping, roses, thorns and bunny ears. Kev discussed what being 'Krisp' means and how popular the term is with the kids on IG. The two debated the need for adding a Gen Z Kween to RGF to help them with Kween speak updates as well as an expert in Kween studies, overall. Exacerbated, Kev revealed he only has two RGF shows left of content in him and how moving to Vegas to drink oneself to oblivion may not be the worst option. Yes, it was one of the most relevant, clear and important RGF episodes to date and no, Kels and Kev did NOT screw up their sign off: Bye Betches. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

YouTube: https://youtu.be/DJYcQQG-R9s On today’s episode, Keven, Kelsey, and our new team member Pooja discuss the role reversal that occurs when the child begins to look after the parent. Both Maria and Keven have experienced this first hand, having taken care of their own ailing parents. Though, their cases are not unique and at one point or another, most of us will have to take on the role of caretaker. However, as Keven reminds us, those that have good, loving parents have a responsibility to be there for them, especially in times of need. And lastly, if you are lucky enough to still have your parents around, show them some love. Call them, give them a hug, or do anything that shows your parents that you appreciate everything they do. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

Greg taught us how overthinking leads to clutter and less mental energy, and emphasized that we must declutter our brains. We discussed burnout and how there are only two types of people in the world right now, those who are burnt out and those who acknowledge they are burnt out. Greg gives us tools on how to spot burnout and teaches us that past a certain point, working harder leads to negative results...it’s not worth the burnout. We learned that through journaling, making our chores fun and giving them purpose, being more present and CHOOSING to take the lighter vs the heaver path we can all start to live a more effortless life. Greg teaches us that instead of saying “how can I work harder to get better results?” say “how can I achieve better results by making it more effortless?” We also discuss the power of having the ‘courage to be rubbish’ or not being held down by perfectionism, which is crucial to living more effortlessly. YouTube: https://youtu.be/hh4AvdT_JU0 Vanderpump Rules fan favorite, Lala Kent sat in with the Heal Squad to discuss her new book, Give Them Lala. The book, which she dedicated to “those courageous enough to be themselves” is a raw and vulnerable look into her life - from her younger years to now. Born Lauren Burningham in Salt Lake City, Utah, this talented girl always had big dreams. Even though she was constantly picked on and bullied throughout adolescence, Lauren didn’t let that deter her from her end goal - to be an actress. Lauren made the move to Hollywood where she would face her fair share of difficulties, including her own awful “Me Too” moment from a slimy agent, an abortion, slut shaming by her own Vanderpump cast members and fans, and more..It wasn’t long that dropped the name Lauren and took on the name and persona of Lala Kent, Lala which she viewed as her “armor” that would protect her from all the hate. Regular Guy Friday Ep. 12: How to Help You and a Loved One Pass On

Hay Kweenz! We made it through another week. It's another edition of Regular Guy Friday. The episode may be a bit of a downer as the Kweenz discuss the dying process. It's a subject we rarely wish to discuss or face, even though it's the surest reality we will experience in life. From taking ego out of the process to remembering who the final days are about (the person passing) the duo share actions that have helped them and loved ones. The truth is revealed about the purpose of funerals: funerals are for the living not the dead. They also discuss the best means of preparation and the best means to honor those who have passed, along with why gravesites may be of value to those alive. The Western 'Disney' view of death is covered vs. a perhaps more healing, mature and healthy means that other cultures subscribe to. Our life here is brief, our loved ones never leave us and we will see them again soon enough. Kels and Kev discuss this and how they coped with their losses. On a lighter note, Kelsey teased a Saturday of 500 Kweenz up in Boston with Kev's family and how we should view more tasks and periods in our lives as adventures rather than duties we dread. We were reminded AGAIN that 50% of life is showing up an that the other 50% is knowing your a Kween. Actually, whose kiiding who, it's 100% about knowing you're a Kween, Keenze. Bye Betches. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 11: Do As They Say, Not as They Do

Hey Kweenz, we Regular Guys and Gals made it through another week. Kels is back from LA discussing her newly elevated lips (thanks to our new bffs at Younique Med Spa @realdryou) while Kev discusses receiving his second shot and how the recovery briefly ignited anger and his shadow self. The conversation led to a discussion on how many healers and experts don't walk the walk and why that's perfectly okay. Soon the duo revealed the greatest tool, one can have in life and why and how that tool will keep you young. They segwayed into cosmetic surgery, gave tips on how to get the very best service and discussed how paying more doesn't always mean you're getting the best..PLUS talked how cosmetic surgery is often looked down upon, but if it's something that at the end of the day makes you feel good/better, that's what it's all about! The episode ended on a positive note with the two agreeing that we are all born "Kweenz" and one last reminder/lesson in the proper way to say 'bitches' (i.e. Betches). The Regular Duo ended as a united front, reciting, in unison, a perfectly synced 'Bye Betches...' Bye Betches! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/better-together-w-maria/support
