GunFreedomRadio EP379 Things You Need To Know with Paloma A Capanna
Our guest today is Paloma A Capanna. Paloma has been speaking and writing about the Second Amendment as the modern civil rights movement for nearly fifteen years. In more than 25-years in state and federal courtrooms, Paloma has represented plaintiffs in ground-breaking civil rights litigation. An award-winning activist and writer, Paloma chases truth until it’s treed. The truth she has been hunting down most recently is what really happened on January 6th 2021. And her latest work is a book titled "January 6 x 20 Things You Need to Know". 1) Before we dive into your newest book, can you help us better understand the significance of some breaking news from last week? One of the “J6” defendants was acquitted of the charges against him. Could this be a good sign of other acquittals coming? 2) Now let’s dive into your newest book. How does this book differ or expound on your previous work? Synopsis: Walk through the twenty most important aspects of January 6 that the media and the prosecution and the FBI don’t want you to get right in their quest for a narrative that conveniently blames the day on the American people. When you cut through the noise, there is a simple set of facts. The Capitol was open. Rallies were permitted to go off on all four sides of the building. Plus eighteen more truths, all with the supporting arguments and analysis." 3) The more we unpack that day, the events of January 6th 2021 seem master-planned - but by who and how? And then once put into motion, a myriad of individuals simply became caught up in it all? 4) What is on the horizon for all of this and the people who are still being held in prison?

GunFreedomRadio EP378 Navigating the Political Battlefront with Stacy Washington
Our guest today is Stacy Washington. Stacy is the host of ‘Stacy on the Right” on SiriusXM The Patriot Channel 125. Stacy is a decorated Air Force Veteran (and the fourth generation to serve in the armed forces in her family). In 2018 Stacy earned the Second Amendment Foundation’s Journalist of the Year award. And Stacy just authored a new book titled “Eternally Cancel Proof: A Guide for Courageous Christians Navigating the Political Battlefront”. 1) Let’s dive right into your new book. The title alone sounds like it is perfectly timed for the challenges many across the nation are facing. Cancel Culture is real, and while it often backfires, it causes too many people to stay silent. 2) We are in a time of Spiritual Warfare – figuratively, the Spirit of our Nation is being battled over, and the literal meaning of Spiritual Battle is so thick we can feel it in the air around us. What words of encouragement or wisdom do you have for us about the ways in which Cultural wars are impacting our daily lives and relationships? - Christianity - education (Stacy is a former member of her local school board) - CRT - BLM 3) Republican leaders have so often been weak in holding to the values of the people whom they were voted in to represent. Why do you think that is and what can We the People do about it? 4) Politically speaking, the Left Wing wants Americans to vote based upon their feelings instead of facts, and it is apparently an appealing platform even for pastors and spiritual leaders who should know better. How can we encourage logic-based voting in these upcoming elections? 5) Ultimately, those of us who ascribe to Christianity, we believe that while we have free will, God has the final say in who sits in authority and how things play out. What does the Bible say about where we are in History?

Why did you become involved with The DC Project? 3) What are the top three most important things you do as the TX State Director to the DCP? 4) What has been your biggest frustration and your greatest triumph since bringing DCP to your State?

Our guest today is Lucretia Free. Lucretia is a mom, a small business owner, and publisher of The Vail Voice and The American Woman Shooter Magazine. Prior to moving to Tucson (in the early 90's) Lucretia was one of the first marketing directors for large corporate law firms in the country. In 2001 she moved to AZ with her family and founded The Vail Voice, the hometown newspaper for SE Tucson, Vail and Corona de Tucson. Using her understanding the needs of a rural and often over-looked area of a State, Lucretia has been serving the needs of southeast Pima County, AZ for over 20 years and is running for US Congress in the 2022 Election. 1) Many people can relate to feeling over-looked and either ignored or out-right “cancelled”, not just in AZ but all over the nation. Was that a driving force behind founding the hometown newspaper The Vail Voice? 2) You are also the Publisher of The American Woman Shooter Magazine. Talk to us about how that came about. 3) Running for Elected Office is like jumping into a snake pit. What caused you to decide to run for office? 4) The office you are running for is at the Federal level. What are the top issues you are running on? And how will you balance the needs of our State with the needs of the nation? 5) What makes you uniquely qualified to become our next Representative?

What is the hold up? 3) You are the author of three books in the “Good Gun, Bad Guy” series. Tell us about your inspiration to write these and are there any more in the works?

GunFreedomRadio EP373 Stand Your Ground with Lauren Snyder
Our guest today is Lauren Snyder. Lauren "Liberty" Snyder is a differently-abled model and political activist from Long Island, New York who now resides in Arizona with her husband and two dogs. Lauren is the 2nd Vice Chair and Communications Director of the AZ Libertarian Party. Lauren also is a Member of The DC Project: Women who are dedicated to safeguarding our Second Amendment. On March 3, 2022 Lauren offered testimony at an AZ State Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing. After Lauren's emotional testimony about having been sexually assaulted and also being a survivor of domestic violence, AZ District 19 Senator Lupe Contreras (D) made a statement saying that if citizens feel the need to be Responsibly Armed outside their homes then, quote..."Why even walk around at that point. Stay at home behind closed doors". 1) Can you give us brief synopsis how things went on the day you testified? 2) There’s a saying that “when someone tells you who they are you should believe them”. What should Senator Contreras’s constituents know about him. 3) If more people would speak up from their personal experience, as you did, our Government would surely better represent us. But, the word “testimony” sounds very intimidating. Can you help demystify it for our audience? 4) A letter was sent to Senator Contreras by you and the DC Project. Has the Senator responded to you? 5) The Senator blocked you on Twitter. Has he since removed that block?

GunFreedomRadio EP375 The Arizona FIND Act with Michael Findlay
Our guest today is Michael Findlay. Michael is the Director of Government Relations for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). As the trade association for America’s firearm, ammunition, hunting, and recreational shooting sports industry, the National Shooting Sports Foundation seeks to promote, protect, and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. NSSF has a membership of more than 9,000 manufacturers, distributors, firearm retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and endemic media outlets, including more than 300 members in Arizona alone. 1) The AZ FIND Act is good for business and good for the Second Amendment, yet is struggling to get the votes it deserves by some of Arizona's Senators, who profess to be Pro-2A. Can you help us understand what this Bill is? The FIND Act is the Firearm Industry Non-Disclosure Act HB 2473 Nothing in the measure actually would force banks to do business with the firearms industry. Instead, it is designed to financially penalize those who do not: No bank could get a contract with state or local government without first certifying that it does not have policies against doing business gun manufacturers, dealers and others. (Source: Tucson dot com) HB 2473 was introduced by State Representative Frank Carroll (R) Sun City West 2) Which AZ Senators are trying to avoid voting on this Bill? Senator David Livingston (R) Peoria, refused to allow a vote on the proposal Senator Vince Leach (R) Tucson Senator J.D. Mesnard (R) Chandler 3) How does this impact the average citizen? “FIND removes the roundabout way that a small minority of activists are using the banking industry to deny a constitutional industry from providing the tools for citizens to use their constitutional Second Amendment rights” FIND stops allowing big bankers to virtue signal for all the wrong things. Standing in the way of helping people access legal and Federally Regulated life-saving tools of self-defense is to empower predators and wrong-doers.

In the past few months you began working with Walk The Talk America. And that connection began from a very personal place for you. Tell us about how this came about? 2) You have a couple of new projects in the works. GunFreedomRadio EP371 America, More Armed Than Ever with Mark Walters
Our guest today is Mark Walters. Mark is the syndicated host of two national radio programs, Armed American Radio and Armed American Radio's Daily Defense with Mark Walters. Mark's voice can be heard on over 200 radio stations in hundreds of cities 6 days a week across America. He is the co-author of of three critically acclaimed books, Lessons from Armed America, Lessons from Unarmed America, and Grilling While Armed. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. 1) Where did this passion to discuss our Constitutional Protections come from for you? It seems more personal to you than it does the average person - where does that come from? 2) You have the unique position, after the years of talking to others who spend their lives working to protect the 2A, of seeing where we have been, and where we are...what outlook or forecast do you see for the trajectory of our Rights? 3) There is an important court case in process as we speak. The State of MD is working on a Rifle Ban but 25 other states are pushing back on it...Let’s unpack this. - The Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today expressed their sincere gratitude to the Attorneys General in 25 states for joining an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court, supporting their challenge to a Maryland gun ban law and urging the high court to hear the case. - the 37-page amicus brief is loaded with strong legal arguments supporting the Maryland case, known as Bianchi et.al. v. Frosh. The Attorneys General are led by Arizona AG Mark Brnovich and West Virginia AG Patrick Morrisey. They are joined by their colleagues in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wyoming. - All four of this Court's Second Amendment precedents on arms bans—Heller, McDonald, Caetano, and Miller—eschewed means-ends balancing. This Court's approach has always been categorial. - The rifles at issue here are "in common use," as lower courts have acknowledged. "Common use" is not determined by how often a gun is fired in self-defense. "Common use" encompasses all lawful uses, including hunting and self-defense. Arms bans do not become constitutional if they slice protected classes of arms into smaller subclasses. Dick Heller's 9-shot .22 caliber revolver was not particularly common, but handguns are very common. - Maryland Attorney General Frosh initially waived his right to file a response to the petition, but on January 14 the Supreme Court called for a response. The Court granted Frosh (and consequently his amici) an extension of time for the response, which is due March 14. Source Article: https://reason.com/volokh/2022/02/11/maryland-rifle-ban-in-the-supreme-court/ 4) You like to say that more gun owners does not automatically equal more people engaged in protecting our Constitution. What CAN we do to wake people up and welcome them into Advocacy? 5) You will be one of our speakers for the 9th Annual Celebrate & Protect the 2nd Amendment Rally Event at the AZ State Capitol Building on Saturday, February 19th from 10:am – 2:pm. Why is it important for you to fly all the way from GA to AZ to talk about the same thing you discuss from the comfort of your studio every day?

Our guest today is Stephen Willeford. Stephen is the Hero of the Sutherland Springs Massacre. On the morning of Sunday, November 5, 2017, Stephen Willeford performed a courageous act of faith and heroism. Alerted by his daughter that a mass shooting was occurring at the neighboring First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, Stephen wasted no time in response. Stephen confronted the murderer without hesitation. His many hours logged at the gun range and his years of experience in gun safety helped prepare him in this response. Though his expert training and practice were used in this decisive moment, Stephen credits his faith in God for keeping him calm and focused throughout this unimaginable situation. 1) We can only hope we would have the courage to act as you did that day Stephen. And we greatly honor that you give the credit to God. This is likely the most traumatic day of your life, and the fact that you will continue to revisit those horrific moments in order to alert the rest of us to the importance of being trained and ready is amazing. 2) You will be in AZ speaking at our 9th Annual Celebrate & Protect the 2nd Amendment Rally Event at the AZ State Capitol Building on Saturday, February 19th from 10:am – 2:pm. US LawShield is sponsoring your visit to AZ. What is the connection between USLS and the comments you plan to make at the Rally.

He's been a life-long, America First conservative who has committed much of his time and money supporting the state of Arizona. And now, Jim is running for United States Senate for the State of AZ. 1) The 2022 Election is going to be an exciting one, across the nation and here in AZ. We are seeing so many people step up for the first time to run for office. Like yourself. Was there a lightning rod moment that caused you to decide to run for US Senate, or was it a culmination of things? 2) We have heard plenty of politicians SAY that they support the Second Amendment, but much like our current Senator, Mark Kelly, their actions and their words do not align. Talk to us about how you would use the office you seek to protect, preserve and restore our Second Amendment Rights. 3) Should you win the office you seek you will spend a fair amount of your time in Washington DC. How will you stay connected to your constituents here in AZ and work on vital issues like the Border crisis? 4) In your business, you were part of a rare breed of American manufacturers. GunFreedomRadio EP365 Countering Anti-gun Propaganda with Erich Pratt
Our guest today is Erich Pratt. Erich is the Senior Vice President for Gun Owners of America (GOA). GOA is a national grassroots organization representing more than two million Americans dedicated to promoting their Second Amendment freedom to keep and bear arms. And Erich just authored an important new book titled Firing Back: How to counter anti-gun propaganda and become a better 2A activist. 1) Let’s start with some personal background on you and your family. You have personal experience with a Government that became corrupted and tyrannical, and how that was directly related to the disarming of the citizenry. How did this impact your family? 2) Those of us who pay attention to the messaging of Politicians and Media understand the tidal wave of misinformation poured on the average American Citizen every single day. But, for those perhaps not as tuned in, why was now the moment you chose to write “Firing Back”? 3) Taking a look at some of the chapters, the first gives the secret to the best way advocates of the Second Amendment can verbally fire back. 4) The next three seem to go hand in hand: Guns save lives, gun-control is dangerous and so-called gun-free-zones are some of the most dangerous places in our nation. Unpack some of that for us. 5) What do you say to people who insist that other countries that have already disarmed their citizens are safer than the United States? 6) Our mutual friend Maj Toure has been saying for years that all gun-control is racist and you discuss this in chapter seven. Can you walk us through the reasons why this is true? 7) The final chapter of your book challenges the reader to put into practice the Activism discussed in the book. Can you give us a teaser on that?

GunFreedomRadio EP358 Is News Still Newsworthy? with AWR Hawkins
Our guest today is AWR Hawkins. Dr. AWR Hawkins is an award winning journalist at Breitbart News who holds a PhD in Military History from Texas Tech University. AWR is a leading voice defending the Second Amendment, and in discussions on guns and self-defense with an examination of the political and cultural assault on the right to keep and bear arms. 1) We titled today’s show “Is News Still Newsworthy?”. It seems like major historic events get overlooked too often for the latest “shiny object”. You seem to find a happy medium in the stories you write on. When you are deciding on which news stories to report on, how much does cultural relevance weigh in? 2) One of the biggest stories in our nation right now SHOULD be the SCOTUS case on whether or not “keep and bear arms” means that citizens have the right to bear arms outside their homes. We have heard very little about it on many of the big legacy networks. What is your take on that near-silence? 3) Some stories are crossovers – news and culture. The Alec Baldwin story where he was involved in a fatal shooting on his movie set. What is the current status of that story? 4) What are some of your most important recent stories? And are the “important” ones also the ones that gain the most readership?

GunFreedomRadio EP356 The AZ Governor’s Race with Kimberly Yee
Our guest today is Kimberly Yee. Born and raised in Arizona, Treasurer Kimberly Yee is the first Chinese American Republican woman to win a major statewide office in the history of the United States. As Treasurer, Kimberly Yee is currently the highest ranking statewide elected Republican woman in Arizona. In the Arizona Legislature, Kimberly served as Senate Republican Majority Leader and became the second woman elected to this position in Arizona’s history, second only to U.S. Justice Sandra Day O’Connor who served the position in 1973. Kimberly has received an A rating from the NRA for her protection of the 2A and has also gained endorsements members of the AzCDL and the AZ Firearms Trade Association. 1) Why are you running for Governor of AZ? And what makes you uniquely qualified to be one of 50 US Governors? 2) You have a done a lot of great work at the Treasurers office. What are some of the successes that you are most proud of? 3) The IRS is trying to get into our bank accounts with this reconciliation bill, can you tell us more about it and what can be done to stop it? 4) Border Security is major issue right now around the county. There’s also reports that the Biden Administration is paying 450,000 dollars to those affected by separation. How do you react to that? What are some policies that you would implement if Governor? 5) What are going to be the top issues if you’re elected Governor?

GunFreedomRadio EP359 The Inaugural RECOIL NFT Auction with Chris Cheng
Our guest today is Chris Cheng. Chris is a self-taught competitive shooter and tech guy who beat out 17 competitors to become History Channel’s Top Shot Season 4 Champion. Chris is a techno-nerd, an Asian-American and openly gay – single-handedly breaking the stereotype of the “average” American gun owner and Second Amendment Advocate. And, combining guns and tech, Chris recently created a groundbreaking NFT digital art auction along with RECOIL Magazine. 1) First of all, congratulations on your successful auction! How much did you raise and what organizations will benefit from the proceeds? 2) Second...what the heck is an NFT and how do you auction one off? 3) What lessons did you learn from this very first ever effort? 4) Do you have plans for another auction in the future?

GunFreedomRadio EP355 The AZ Governor’s Race with Matt Salmon
Our guest today is Matt Salmon. Matt has previously served in both the Arizona State Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and now he is running for Governor of AZ. In his previous elected positions, he earned a reputation for standing on principle and challenging the status quo, ultimately becoming a co-founder of the conservative House Freedom Caucus alongside leaders like Jim Jordan, Ron DeSantis, Mark Meadows, and Mick Mulvaney. During his time in Congress, Matt earned awards for being a “Defender of Liberty,” for being the “Taxpayer Hero” from Citizens Against Government Waste. 1) In your previous offices you clearly distinguished yourself as a Representative of your constituents and you are skilled in the political arena. But, that arena is a lion’s den at best. What makes you want to jump back into it and run for Governor of AZ? 2) What makes you uniquely qualified to be one of the 50 United States Governors, and specifically the Governor of the great State of AZ? 3) You have served in AZ Government before both at the State and Federal levels. How did you use your previous roles to impact our 2A Rights? 4) Our current AZ Governor has been lukewarm at best about his support of our 2A Rights. What do our listeners need to know about your stance on our rights to keep and bear arms? 5) What are the key issues that you believe our next Arizona Governor will face?

GunFreedomRadio EP354 The Supreme Court and the 2A with Lars Dalseide
A twelve year veteran of the NRA, Lars has covered almost every aspect of both the NRA's political and program-side. 1) One of the biggest news stories in the 2A world is the first gun case to reach the Supreme Court in more than a decade - New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen. What are the basic facts behind case? 2) Why did it take so long for another 2nd Amendment case to reach the highest court in the land? 3) Experts are saying this case reaches beyond the 2nd Amendment, that the underlying issues are greater than the right to keep and bear arms. If that’s true, how could it reach beyond the 2nd Amendment. 4) What part has the NRA played in this case? 5) What is the best and worst case scenario?

GunFreedomRadio EP353 Update on Events of January 6th w Paloma A. Capanna
Our guest today is Paloma A. Capanna. And her latest work is a book titled “The Events of January 6, 2021: What Impact the Second Amendment Movement?”. 1) When we had you on back in August we broke down a lot of the details that seem to lead to a reasonable conclusion that people who have been arrested in the January 6th events were targeted simply because of specific clothing they were wearing that day and that there were FBI Agents among the crowd who were actually ramping up the people and egging people on to enter the building. Do I have that correct? 2) This many months later, the top three bullets are: 2a) Order of DC District Court Judge Royce Lamberth on 10/13/2021 in the case of Christopher Worrell, which found DC Warden and Director of Prisons in contempt for failing to turn over prisoner medical records to the court on time AND which directed the US AG to launch an investigation into the conditions of all defendants incarcerated pending trial relative to the events of January 6. The call to action here is to call the Assistant AG in charge of civil rights, Kristen Clarke [(202) 514-3847], to ask for a "thorough and unbiased investigation" into the prison conditions in accordance with Judge Lamberth's Order. 2b) Arrest of defendant Jeremy Michael Brown on 9/26. DOJ is calling him a "self-identified Oath Keeper" (no evidence he was a member, including his position that he was not). He says that the FBI tried to recruit him in December 2020 to be a "confidential informant." He got interested in the Oath Keepers after the November election and was at the December MAGA rally in WDC. He drove up from FL to the January 6 events with one of the four defendants who are alleged to be "Oath Keepers" who already took a plea, including a term to be "confidential informants" of the government. That person in his car reported Brown to the FBI. On January 6, while Brown was on the Capitol lawn, Brown's FBI handler called him wanting to know exactly where he was. It's another "Fast & Furious." Where are the assets? What's going on? Brown isn't the only one saying his FBI handler was calling him on January 6. Second-in-command of the Proud Boys has already been complaining of the same thing. 2c) Records of Ashli Babbitt starting to come through to Judicial Watch and to me basis Freedom of Information requests. I now have a time line of the shooting, and the procession of her body for that week. What DC Metro also released was their interview notes with US Capitol Police officers the night of January 6. If you read my blog "15:15," you learned what I learned: there were 15 armed USCP officers in that hallway + 3 unidentified uniformed officers in front of and then next to the group of 10 citizens + 3 riot USCP officers closing in immediately behind them up the stairwell, just steps away. It is fair to say we are lucky that the entire group wasn't gunned down where they stood, unarmed, and making absolutely zero retaliation against any LEO in their vicinity. Talk about chilling information for anyone who is an activist at the Capitol.

GunFreedomRadio EP352 Bleeding Blue with Kevin Jackson
Our guest today is Kevin Jackson. Kevin is a creator, director, movie producer, best selling author and nationally syndicated show host. He is the founder and CEO of The Kevin Jackson Network. In the wake of the anti-police narrative that exploded in the summer of 2020, Kevin funded and produced the film, “Bleeding Blue” to offer a voice to the men and women who Serve in law enforcement. 1) Tell us about your new film, “Bleeding Blue”. Was there one specific event or moment that put this project in motion or was it a culmination of things? 2) What do you see happening with police officers in our culture today? 3) How has the media impacted people’s perception of policing in America? 4) What do police officers go through that most people don’t know about or realize? 5) How do you see people in Arizona being able to help the police and what action can we take to keep them funded in Arizona?

2021 Second Amendment Foundation's Gun Rights Policy Convention: History of Women & Guns
Cheryl Todd of Gun Freedom Radio: The HISTORY of Women and Guns! Even when women could not legally vote, we did legally have guns. Our foremothers used guns to hunt, to protect their land and livestock, and to guard over the safety of their families. Firearms and ammunition in the home were basic household tools – as basic as having, say, a hammer and nails. Yet, here we are in the 21st Century now trying to reclaim that normalcy and those Rights to possess, carry and use these life-saving tools of protection. Somewhere along the way someone told us that women don’t use tools. And too many of us bought into it. And someone told us that Moms – you know good moms – don’t allow certain kinds of tools into their homes. And a group even commandeered the word – Moms. Moms Demand something...not really specified...but it equates to “guns are bad” and if you are a mom, or a woman, or a decent human being of any kind you will agree with them...or else face being ostracized and cancelled. Can you imagine – all the strong, smart, capable, competent women in our nation, and really the world, being convinced that hammers and nails are too dangerous for we women to handle? And yet, too many of us have bought into THAT idea when it comes to firearms and ammunition. It’s embarrassing, really. And it’s time to reclaim our equal rights to own whatever tools we need to pursue life, liberty and happiness – whether it’s hammers, nails, guns or ammo. We know names like Annie Oakley (who became a sharpshooter out of the necessity to put food on the table for her family), Ida B Wells (an African-American feminist, investigative journalist, educator, and early leader in the civil rights movement – helping to co-found the NAACP), Harriet Tubman (anti-slavery superhero of the Underground Railroad), AND the many (mostly forgotten) women who fought in the American Civil War. And, then there was Eleanor Roosevelt – the First Lady of four-term Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Ashley Hlebinsky is that woman. Ashley not only was the curator for the Cody Firearms Museum for several years, and is a walking talking history encyclopedia, but she also has made history by testifying to Congress setting the record straight about MIS-NAMED “Ghost Guns” and in doing so has worked to preserve our freedoms. Suzanna Gratia Huff might have stopped a murderer from killing and wounding nearly 50 people. Suzanna has continued to use her voice to advocate for more life-saving freedoms for all of us. A woman who is one of my personal heroes is Julianne Versnell – one of our hosts every year for this very event, GRPC. Julianne has spoken at the United Nations, to defend the right of women to protect themselves with firearms. Through instruments such as the wrong-headed Arms Trade Treaty, international gun control is a genuine threat and could ultimately strip individual firearms rights from people here in the United States and indeed all over the world. Julianne has positively impacted the international debate on behalf of all women. Finally, no conversation about the History of Women and Guns could be complete without mentioning one of my mentors, Dianna Muller, who founded The DC Project: Women for Gun Rights. Dianna saw the need to bring women together to counter the anti-rights groups with the truth that women DO own guns, carry guns, and we value our Rights to do so. Dianna has grown The DC Project into a powerful force that has a State Director in all 50 states and whose members have run for offices, won elections, and have testified in front of both state and federal Legislative bodies on behalf of protecting our Second Amendment Rights. We stand on the shoulders of giants and we cast their vision into the history of our nation’s future.

GunFreedomRadio EP351 Virginia Election Alert with Philip Van Cleave
Our guest today is Philip Van Cleave. Philip has been the president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League since 2001, and is an award-winning Grassroots Activist. Philip served as a reserve deputy sheriff in Texas for 7 years, and is an NRA instructor. Philip believes in the Right to Keep and Bear Arms as a fundamental human right and is an unabashed supporter who has fought for the right to keep and bear arms for many years in Virginia and across the US. 1) The State of Virginia has a very consequential election coming up where multiple seats are up for the vote. Talk to us about who is up for election this year? -Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, all 100 House Delegate Seats and multiple local positions. 2) Should gun owners in Virginia take advantage of new early voting laws? 3) What’s at stake in the elections? 4) What is the VCDL agenda for the next legislative session? 5) The VCDL organizes the biggest 2A Rally in the nation. Do you have another Rally scheduled for 2022?

GunFreedomRadio EP350 No Laughing Matter with Simmone Park
Our guest today is Simmone Park. Simmone Park is a multilingual management consultant and stand-up comedian who has lived and worked in ten countries so far. For six years after a violent assault at gunpoint, Simmone was fervently anti-gun and changed her location every 3-4 months, unaware that she had feared for her safety. After taking time to heal, process the experience, and work on overcoming her trauma, she now lives in Hawaii, where she feels at peace. Simmone also decided to educate herself on guns and the law and is now Pro-Second Amendment and ultimately chose to work for a pro-freedom law firm, Attorneys for Freedom, that fights for the rights of citizens in Hawaii and Arizona. 1) Thank you for being willing to go back to the worst moments of your life and talk to us about the day you were assaulted at gunpoint. 2) You have said that part of the trauma that resulted from that horrific assault is that it caused you to start thinking of people in terms of their race. 3) There are loud voices across the nation, many of them women who are actively pushing the idea that women, minorities, and especially victims of crime should want to throw our 2A Rights away. Yet, you, being a member of all of those demographics, have become pro-2nd amendment. Tell us about how you have come to this determination? 4) What was it like the first time you shot a pistol? 5) You were not born in the US which places you in a legal citizenship status that prevents you from owning a firearm, yet you still choose to take safety training/tactical gun courses. Why is that? And how do you feel not being able to own a firearm? 6) How did you come to work with Attorneys for Freedom? 7) Tell us about the Attorneys On Retainer program. 8) You have said that gun rights are women’s rights. Why do you believe this?

GunFreedomRadio EP349 The Universal Settlement Coin with Rob McNealy
Our guest today is Rob McNealy. Rob is a serial entrepreneur, podcaster, cryptocurrency advocate, self-defense activist, welder/artist, and indie filmmaker. He earned an MBA from Colorado State University. Rob is a Co-Founder of TUSC (The Universal Settlement Coin), a decentralized, non-ICO cryptocurrency project that is focused on supporting financially marginalized industries with their payments issues. 1) Explain this to us like we are 5 year olds. What is it? How do we use it? Why do we need it? 2) What are cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and TUSC? 3) What are blockchains? 4) Why should people care about them? 5) What problems are you trying to solve with TUSC? 6) Where does the value if TUSC come from? 7) How do people get it?

GunFreedomRadio EP347 Spooky Skillsets with Jason Swarr
Our guest today is Jason Swarr. Jason is a veteran Marine, the owner of Terror Trader, and the founder and owner of Skillset Magazine. 1) Your most recent magazine cover has a strong “Ghostbusters” vibe, which is perfect for Halloween month! Tell us about that cover story. 2) We are accustomed to seeing “Christmas Stores” that sell holly-jolly all year round, but you have a store that sells horror all year round...talk to us about that. 3) What was the impetus for you to start your own magazine, and what is the main mission of what you communicate through Skillset Magazine?

GunFreedomRadio EP346 Fate of the Future with Connor Boyack
Our guest today is Connor Boyack. Connor is founder and president of Libertas Institute, a free market think tank in Utah. Named one of Utah's most politically influential people by The Salt Lake Tribune, Connor's leadership has led to dozens of legislative victories spanning a wide range of areas such as privacy, government transparency, property rights, drug policy, education, personal freedom, and more. A public speaker and author of 21 books, Connor is best known for The Tuttle Twins books, a children’s series introducing young readers to economic, political, and civic principles. Connor lives near Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife and two homeschooled children. 1) Let’s start with the title of one of your Tuttle Twins books, because I think this is on everyone’s minds... the “Fate of the Future”. What is the fate of our future? 2) Our children are our future, and fortune favors those who know their history. Our educational system seems to be in disarray and decay. In that vein, you have a new educational magazine coming out. Tell us about that. - Tuttle Times—a new monthly magazine for children ages 5-12 with lessons, activities, and projects to learn all kinds of important information about how the world works. 3) Politicians at every level are overstepping anything that our Founding Documents allow them to do with their limited powers. Everyday it seems there are several insults to our Freedoms. Often we know it’s wrong, but sometimes in our busy lives we can’t put our finger on what is wrong. Your Podcast “The Way The World Works” offers people bite-sized wisdom to try to help us keep up. What have been some of your most popular episodes? 4) Our financial system is under attack in several ways. There is a push for a cashless society, inflation is already gobbling up the value of our US Dollar, and crypto is a murky, volatile and confusing topic. Your newsletter recently mentioned the 50-year anniversary of President Richard Nixon’s “New Economic Policy”. What is the significance of his action half a century ago? - On August 15th, 1971, the then-President announced a plan for a “New Economic Policy.” This included executive orders for 10% surcharges on imported goods and freezes on wages and prices. Worst of all, it ended the liquidity between U.S. gold and U.S. dollars. With the sweep of a pen, one man forced government control over free enterprise and brought us into the era of fiat money. 5) One last question. A Socialist magazine, titled “Current Affairs” took issue with your children’s books. Instead their article helped sell a ton of your books. Tell us about that and also about your book for teens, called “How to Not Suck at Life”...which takes us right back to the topic of being a Socialist. - https://tuttletwins.com/blog/current-affairs-magazines-attempted-tuttle-takedown/?mc_cid=f54b7064c4&mc_eid=d5ae7467ce

GunFreedomRadio EP345 By The Consent of the Governed with Dave Kopp
Our guest today is Dave Kopp. Dave is the co-founder and President of the Arizona Citizens Defense League and the AzCDL Foundation. Dave is an East Coast transplant, a former computer programmer and a family man. Dave spends his time restoring and protecting the right to keep and bear arms through legislative lobbying. He is a strong voice protecting Arizonans against anti-rights groups and legislation that seek to limit our freedoms. 1) In political philosophy, the phrase “consent of the governed” refers to the idea that a government's legitimacy and moral right to use state power is justified and lawful only when consented to by the people or society over which that political power is exercised. Is our “consent” merely the vote we used to “hire” our Representatives? So, after they are in office they get to do whatever they want? 2) In AZ you head up two important organizations. Both the AzCDL and the Foundation. How are these two organizations similar and how are they different? 3) Does the AzCDL also have a Political Action arm? 4) Every year the AzCDL holds a Membership Meeting. Last year I was honored to help with the “digital” portion of the meeting by moderating a panel on Zoom. What are the plans this year? And do you have to be a member to attend?

Your small private outdoor range is nestled in a hill, in the middle of 48 acres, and even it is facing a similar crisis. Talk to us about what is happening. 2) What does it boil down to? Is this a 2nd Amendment issue, a Special Land Usage Zoning, or a Noise Ordinance issue? 3) How helpful would it be to you and your neighbors if we had passed the Hearing Protection Act to make suppressors more practical to own? 4) If you could tell the neighbors ONE THING THAT MAY CHANGE THEIR MIND, what would it be? 5) What is your greatest NEED currently? GunFreedomRadio EP343 Stand Up And Lead with Geoffrey Botkin
Our guest today is Geoffrey Botkin. Geoffrey, along with his sons, is a director of TRex-arms, and are very serious about training and arming the modern day minute-man. He hosts the podcast “Stand Up And Lead”. Geoffrey understand the need for us to articulate misplaced truths and lessons about family dynamics, and the strength of the family institution. His works in progress include a documentary on the role families can play in the development of civil society. He also publishes materials through the Western Conservatory of the Arts and Sciences, primarily for leaders in the United States, Europe and Africa. 1) On your podcast you recently had an episode titled, “When Cops Run Out of Ammo” focused on the cautionary tale that South Africa has become. Talk to us about that. 2) We have borrowed our theme today from the name of your organization. Tell us about the purpose and mission of “Stand Up And Lead”. 3) Your TRex-arms website’s stated focus is on “training and arming the modern day minute-man”. What do you mean when you say “minute-man”? 4) Last week we learned that David Chipman’s nomination to the head of NRA has finally been withdrawn. The NRA is a regulatory body that is run by unelected officials and they have incredible power over our individual lives. What have you learned about the ATF and what is your opinion of what should be done about their powers? 5) We began this interview talking about unrest in South Africa. Most people are unaware of what is happening there, but we are watching in embarrassment and horror at what is going on in Afghanistan. From your experience, what do you think will happen in Afghanistan next?

GunFreedomRadio EP341 Political Statistical Trickery with John Lott
Our guest today is John Lott. John is a world-recognized expert on guns and crime and the author of a number of books including “The War On Guns: Arming Yourself Against Gun Control Lies”. He is an American economist, who served in the Trump Administration as Senior Advisor for Research and Statistics in the Office of Justice Programs for the US Department of Justice and then the Senior Advisor for Research and Statistics in the Office of Legal Policy for the US Department of Justice. John is the President of the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), which is a research and education organization dedicated to providing an objective and accurate scientific evaluation of both the costs and benefits of gun ownership as well as policing activities. John’s work gives those of us who are protecting our 2A Rights a solid foundation of precision-focused research. 1) You recently wrote an op-ed in Real Clear Investigations titled: “Despite What Biden Says, Guns Factor in Only a Small Percentage of Violent Crimes”, and that about 92% of violent crimes in America DO NOT even involve firearms. Could it be that the President is engaged in some political statistical trickery? - Although firearms were used in about 74% of homicides in 2019, they comprise less than 9% of violent crimes in America. - The vast majority of violent offenses – including robberies, rapes and other sex crimes – almost always involve other weapons or no weapons at all. - Over 50% of the murders take place in just 2% of the counties (60 of the 3,140 counties, the 60 making up 27.5% of the population), and even within those counties most murders occur within 10-block areas. These are overwhelmingly gang-related murders. They are surely important, but don’t touch the lives of most Americans. Fifty-four percent of counties have no murders and another 15% have one. 2) Even with all of the statistical trickery going on from Politicians and members of the Media feeding us story lines designed to malign guns and those who own them, according to a July 202 Gallup poll only 1% of Americans named guns/gun control the most important problem facing the country. - And only 4% of Americans viewed crime/violence as the most important problem. 3) In a Rasmussen poll it appears that gun control has become a class issue, with affluent people being more in favor of control, while poorer populations are the freedom-lovers. From your experience, is this a surprising finding? - strongest opposition to gun control is among the poor, and the strongest support is among the highest income earners, those earning more than $200,000. 4) On the CPRC website there are a number of mentions of censorship you are experiencing. What is the nature of this censorship? 5) Over your career you have had many impressive accomplishments. And it hasn’t been an easy road going up against all of the negative pushback from the Bloomberg financed gun control propaganda machine. What would you say is one of your most impactful and proud moments?

GunFreedomRadio EP339 2021 Gun Rights Policy Conference with Alan Gottlieb
Our guest today is Alan Gottlieb. Alan is the Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF). The SAF is dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Alan is also the author or co-author of numerous books including “Things You Can Do to Defend Your Gun Rights” and “Assault on Weapons: The Campaign to Eliminate Your Guns”. 1) It is almost time once again for the Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference! Tell us about this year’s GRPC. (Where? When? What are some key topics?) 2) The SAF is always busy fighting against Anti-Rights Legislation. What are some of the cases you are currently working on? 3) The SAF is the original sponsor of an important event called Amm-Con, which brings together bloggers, journalists, podcasters, and media personalities who are Pro-Constitution and Pro-Second Amendment. Why is this event important enough to have garnered the support of the SAF?

GunFreedomRadio EP340 The AZ Governor’s Race with Kari Lake
Our guest today is Kari Lake. Kari is the former anchor for Fox 10 News in Phoenix who became a symbol of truth in journalism when she walked away from the mainstream media despite being number one in the ratings for more than two decades. Now she's running for Governor of Arizona on a platform of common sense conservatism dedicated to individual liberties, low taxes, limited regulation, and protecting Arizona's great Western heritage. 1) The next election is going to be so important, not just for AZ, but all over the nation. There is still so much about the 2020 Election that feels unsettled with the ongoing forensic audit. Clearly, what happens in one state does impact other states, and the importance of hiring (with our votes) Constitutionally-anchored Public Servants has never been greater. What makes you uniquely qualified to be Arizona’s next Governor? 2) Our current AZ Governor has been lukewarm at best about his support of our 2A Rights. What do our listeners need to know about your stance on our rights to keep and bear arms? 3) In July President Trump was in AZ at a Turning Point Action Event and announced each of the candidates for AZ Governor who were in the audience. You were the second name mentioned and the crowd cheered and chanted your name for nearly 30 full seconds! I think Trump even said “Wow!” about the response you received. It is moments like that when Candidates’ campaigns can shift into a higher gear. 4) What are the key issues that you believe our next Arizona Governor will face?

GunFreedomRadio EP338 How I Carry with Tara Craft
Our guest today is Tara Craft. Tara is a firearms instructor, blogger, and Second Amendment advocate who shares her experiences as a female gun owner on various social media platforms. Tara began her Instagram account, “How I Carry”, as a way to document the challenges of learning to carry a concealed firearm, which led to her and her husband founding Gen2 Training, LLC to offer beginner classes to their rural community. She is a member of the DC Project and Virginia Citizens Defense League, and Tara believes that Second Amendment rights are for everyone and encourages everyone to advocate for the right to bear arms. 1) Walk us through your journey from passively supporting the Second Amendment to actively advocating for it. 2) Your videos are clever and effective. The Hard Knock Life video, regarding obstacles facing new gun owners, was particularly powerful. Was there a specific moment that caused you to make that one? 3) Everyone has a day-one at learning something. Why does it seem so difficult to promote acceptance and education without shaming our newcomers? 4) This might be a newsflash to some people, but with gun ownership on the rise, it is more obvious than ever that is no “typical” gun owner. Talk to us about that. 5) You have stated that you won’t “lose your guns in a boating accident” – what does this phrase mean?

GunFreedomRadio EP337 Anti-Red Flag Laws with OK State Rep. Jay Steagall
Our guest today is OK State Representative Jay Steagall. Representative Steagall serves House District 43 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Representative Steagall also owns & operates a gun store, and served our country as a senior KC-135 pilot in the US Air Force Reserves. With extensive experience defending this country through his military service, and now owning and operating a local gun shop, Jay considers himself a fearless defender of our Constitutional rights. His strong belief that without the Second Amendment, we would be ill-equipped to defend the rest of the Bill of Rights is one shared by our Founding Fathers. 1) What is the current status of Gun Rights in your home state of Oklahoma? 2) You had a big hand in passing of the SB1081 – Anti-Red Flag Gun Laws Bill signed into law in May 2020 by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt. How can you encourage other states to do the same? 2) You have clearly lived a life dedicated to Service. First the Military and now in public office. Talk so us about your time in the Military. 3) Talk so us about the Cuba resolution.

GunFreedomRadio EP335 The Next Stage with Connie Wray
Our guest today is Connie Wray. Connie is the host of the Docu-Series “The Next Stage” and recently partnered with Walk The Talk America for a deeply personal episode. Connie currently hosts a monthly series for Crisis Support Services of Nevada called Talk It Out Tuesdays. The company has been instrumental in helping those who have struggled with addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD & autism. 1) Can you give us a brief background on your life and upbringing? You're a military brat, a mother, former radio host & now a suicide prevention advocate. 2) When did you and our husband realize your daughter, Katie, was dealing with mental health issues? 3) Why was it important for you to connect with Walk The Talk America? What surprised you most from this experience? 4) What is your stance on gun ownership after this experience? 5) What are you doing currently in your advocacy work? 6) What do you hope to achieve by sharing this story?
