S1 Ep 74074: From Overthinking to Showing Up: Social Media Strategy That Works

In this episode, I’m sitting down with my personal coach, Elizabeth Marberry, an Instagram marketing strategist, business growth coach, and creative entrepreneur who is all about helping you stop overthinking your content and start showing up in a way that actually grows your business. From her background as a professional dancer to building a thriving brand online (and even running a brick-and-mortar as a wedding dance coach), Elizabeth brings such a fresh and real perspective to Instagram marketing for small business owners. We get into the good stuff right away, starting with your Instagram bio, because if it’s not clearly telling people who you are and how you can help them, it’s probably costing you clients. Elizabeth shares simple ways to optimize your bio so it actually converts, plus why pinned posts are one of the most underutilized tools on Instagram right now.We also chat about ManyChat and how automations can take your Instagram to the next level by turning engagement into actual leads (without you being glued to your phone 24/7). And if you’ve ever felt like social media is just something you “try to get to,” this is your reminder that it’s not an afterthought; it’s a key part of your marketing strategy. One of my favorite parts of this conversation is how we talk about content in a way that feels doable. Your content doesn’t have to be complicated. The work you’re already doing in your business is your content. It’s about capturing those moments, sharing behind the scenes, making people laugh, and letting your audience get to know you without feeling like you have to “sell” all the time.We also talk about consistency because let’s be honest, that’s where most people get stuck. If you’re struggling to show up, it’s usually not a motivation problem; it’s a time and priority problem. The more you make space for content and just start posting, the easier it gets. And the truth is, the more you show up, the more you grow.If you’ve been overthinking Instagram, feeling stuck with what to post, or not seeing results from your content, this episode is going to give you both the strategy and the mindset shift you need. Because at the end of the day, if you want different results in your business, you have to start taking different actions, and this is your sign to just start showing up.DM the word “HOT” for Hot ReelsDM the world “KIT” for a free Instagram Bio GuideWebsite - https://www.elizabethmarberry.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elizabethmarberry/Podcast: https://www.elizabethmarberry.com/podcast

S1 Ep 73073: Turning Passion Into Profit: Growing a Permanent Jewelry Business and Wholesale Brand with Luxe Gems and Chains

From nurse life to photography to building a thriving permanent jewelry business, Loretta’s journey is a perfect example of following what lights you up and being open to where it leads. What started with making and selling earrings quickly turned into a full-blown permanent jewelry business in the summer of 2023, all fueled by the connection and experience this industry brings. With Tony’s 20+ years of welding experience, they brought a powerful skillset into the space and didn’t stop there. They’ve already expanded into the wholesale side of permanent jewelry, launching their own chain line in early 2024. We get into all things chains, including the rise of tennis chains, sourcing, and how adding wholesale permanent jewelry supplies can create an entirely new revenue stream within your business. We also chat marketing, because let’s be real, it matters. Loretta talks about going all in, staying consistent, and doing the uncomfortable things that lead to real growth. And her perspective? Permanent jewelry isn’t going anywhere. Jewelry has always been around, but what makes this industry special is the connection and experience behind it. We will see Luxe Gems and Chains at PJX this year! Your chance to see the chains in person, ask questions & connect with Loretta and Tony!If you’re in the permanent jewelry world (or thinking about jumping in), this episode will leave you feeling inspired, motivated, and ready to take things to the next level.Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/luxegemsandchains/Website; https://www.luxegemsandchains.com/

In this episode, we sit down with Harvest from Desert Darlings Silver to talk about trusting your gut, going all in, and building a handmade jewelry brand with heart. In this episode, I sit down with Rie of Charmed by Rie, a Southern California permanent jewelry artist and educator who shares what it really looks like to trust yourself, pivot when it feels right, and build a business that actually converts. Rie started her journey as a lash artist before adding permanent jewelry in 2022, quickly realizing the income potential and scalability of the permanent jewelry business model. We’re back with Alyssa from Legal Doer, and in this episode, we’re deep diving into all things permanent jewelry and the law, especially when it comes to minors, trademarks, and copyright concerns in your business. Alyssa breaks down the legal grey areas surrounding welding on minors, including the lack of federal regulations. While there is no federal ban on performing permanent jewelry on minors when a legal guardian is present, it’s crucial to understand how laws around children’s products (especially for those 12 and under) may apply. Alyssa explains how additional testing requirements, often already handled by your wholesale manufacturers, might be necessary depending on the materials used, such as charms, stainless steel, or coatings. Alyssa also shares why waivers are so important! (You can snag Legal Doers waiver created just for permanent jewelers!)Beyond minors, we chat about trademarking, what it is, how it protects your brand, and why checking for similar or already-taken names early can save you major money and headaches down the road. We even touch on the difference between inspiration and imitation when it comes to copywriting and content creation.Alyssa reminds us that it’s not a matter of if legal issues will come up, it’s when. Choosing a word of the year can be a powerful guide, helping you align your actions with your goals. But remember, simply reading a life-changing book or listening to a great podcast won’t create change unless you put what you’ve learned into action.I want to share a little about my journey with this practice. Back in 2022, my word was Breakthrough. Every decision I made that year came with the question: “Could this lead to a breakthrough?” I tried so many new things, creating photo ledges, designing dried floral arrangements, and even launching my website. At one point, I thought I might dive into wholesale and sell my creations to other boutiques or on Etsy. But you know what? I realized I wasn’t passionate about any of it. That’s when I decided to zero in on my values, like connection, community, and creativity. What could I do that truly embodied those values? I reimagined my shed as a space that reflected connection, community, and creativity—and then, serendipitously, I discovered permanent jewelry. My first backyard boutique event was a success, and soon my focus shifted entirely to permanent jewelry. Looking back, 2022 really was my breakthrough year.Fast forward to 2024, and my word was Epic. To me, this meant stepping into things that scared me, embracing the idea of YOLO, and showing my daughters that they can do anything they feel called to do. Whether it was launching a business or pushing myself out of my comfort zone, it was about living life on my terms. Now, as we approach 2025, my word is Aligned. I want to feel aligned in everything I do, whether it’s designing, spending time with my kids, nurturing my health, or connecting with my spouse. It’s about asking myself, “Does this align with my goals?” For example, if my goal is to lose weight, skipping my workout and eating a donut might not be the move!Your word of the year is meant to guide you, not anyone else. It’s okay to get input from others, but ultimately, it has to feel right for you. Think about what your ideal day looks like in 2025. How do you want to feel? What values do you want to embody? Take some time to reflect, and let your word serve as your compass.Pro tip: Use a piece of jewelry to symbolize your word of the year. Whether it’s a hidden message bracelet, a permanent bracelet, or a subtle charm, let it remind you of your intentions every day.If you’re still stuck, don’t worry! The workbook includes three pages of inspiring words to help you find the one that resonates with you. Tune in to learn how to choose the perfect word of the year, and let’s make 2025 your best year yet!Don’t forget: This is part two, so if you missed the first episode, go back and check it out. And stay tuned for the final episode of this series, where we’ll bring it all together. See you next time!

S1 Ep 37037: Part 1: Reflect, Reset, and Get Ready to Crush 2025!

Welcome to Part One of our three-part series designed to help you step into the new year with intention and power! In this episode, we’re kicking things off with reflection, taking a deep dive into 2024 to uncover lessons learned, celebrate the wins, and set the stage for an incredible 2025!Grab your workbook (available in the Goldie Links Society Membership!) and join one of our upcoming Zoom calls. These calls are all about connection, sharing your journey, vocalizing your thoughts, and gaining the clarity you need to move forward with purpose. Take your time with the workbook. Seriously, don’t skip a single question! There’s so much magic in pausing to reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and how you can grow.A lot can happen in a year, and 2024 was no exception! Some highlights? Launching this very podcast, redesigning my website to support permanent jewelers in my permanent jewelry supplies, speaking at PJX (such a dream!), and growing a team of amazing mama makers who create a handmade chain, beaded stretchy bracelets & so much more! Oh, and let’s not forget the incredible relationships and loyalty I’ve built with my customers. Trusting my gut has been my guiding force, even when it meant making tough decisions, like letting go of a franchise after training three new Goldie Girls last year.Reflection isn’t just about patting yourself on the back (though, hey, you deserve it! 🙌). It’s also about spotting opportunities for growth. One of my biggest lessons? Start before you’re ready. It’s scary, but wow, does it pay off. And this year, I learned the importance of under-promising and over-delivering, it’s a game-changer for building trust and loyalty.Looking ahead, I’ve got my eyes on some key areas to level up. First, knowing my numbers. Back in 2020, I stopped using credit cards for my business, but I didn’t set clear financial goals. That’s changing! If you don’t know your profits or expenses, you’re flying blind. I’m also planning to show up more consistently on Instagram and in the Goldie Links Society Facebook group while diving deeper into email marketing to keep my community in the loop.Another focus? Saying “yes” only to opportunities that truly align with my goals. It’s time to vet events, ask the right questions, and get intentional about how I spend my time and energy. This episode is your nudge to pause, reflect, and reset. Let’s take a moment to honor where we’ve been, learn from it, and set our intentions for where we’re headed. As we move into 2025, let’s grow, trust our gut, and take intentional action.Stay tuned for Part Two, where we’ll dive into setting goals and choosing your Word of the Year. Don’t forget to join the Zoom calls and grab your workbook, it’s time to make 2025 your best year yet! ✨

S1 Ep 35035: Making the Most of Slow Times in Your Permanent Jewelry Biz

In this personal and practical episode, we’re diving into a reality all entrepreneurs face: slow times! Whether it’s a quiet market day, a seasonal lull, or just a random week, it’s important to shift your mindset and maximize the opportunities these moments offer.Instead of sitting behind your table and moping, it’s time to get up, connect, and maximize your opportunities. Chat with the people walking around and build those valuable connections, they’ll remember you when they’re ready to buy. If you're at a slow market, use the time to talk to fellow vendors! One customer can lead to a chain reaction of success, from a single bracelet purchase to parties and beyond!Slow periods are a chance to be productive and proactive. Take this time to research new products, chains, or connectors. Take to social media and post some polls. Batch social media content, and plan posts for upcoming events like Valentine’s Day. Another great idea is to think about your goals for the new year and start planning for tax season. (All things we tend to push off because who wants to do taxes?!) Is your website up to date? Are your photos and branding on point? Use this downtime to refresh your displays, deep clean your shop, and tidy your home, which can directly impact your business mindset.Sometimes, the best ideas come when you take a moment to slow down. Meditate, take a long shower, or go for a walk to find clarity and inspiration. Reconnect with past customers through newsletters, social media messages, or texts. Try something new, like blogging, or even pick up a hobby to recharge your creativity.Remember, slow times happen in every business. This is your opportunity to dive into your to-do list, gain clarity, and make the most of the moment. It’s not about waiting for the perfect time—it’s about making every moment count!Tune in to hear more tips and inspiration for turning slow days into opportunities!Links:Goldie links society - https://www.goldielinkssociety.com/
