It's not all about taking monumental strides. Have you ever hesitated to take action because you felt overwhelmed by the idea of giving it your all, 24/7, and sacrificing your precious time? I totally get it. Here's the real deal: success isn't about giant leaps; it's about consistent, small steps. I'm talking about the "30 by 30" strategy – commit to just 30 minutes a day for 30 days, and you'll be amazed at the results. Whether it's improving relationships, fitness, positivity, or income, slow and steady progress is your ticket. Think you can't find those 30 minutes? Have you ever felt that overwhelming fear that keeps you from taking that leap of faith? I've been there, and it's time to change that! I'll be honest with you when things started going wrong in Hawaii, I let fear take control. I was overwhelmed by missed flights, unexpected challenges, and a feeling that it wasn't the right decision. I immediately believed that everything was falling apart and that I needed to go back home. But here's the truth: fear is often just poor management of our minds. We have the choice to approach situations with faith instead. Imagine going into every challenge and opportunity with an unwavering belief that things will work out. Yes, we'll experience worry and stress, but we don't have to let them define us. Instead of dwelling on negative emotions, let them pass through. Don't let fear become your identity. Starting something new won't be perfect. It's like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. Embrace the messy middle and trust the process. 045: The Power of Words

Have you ever found yourself wondering, "Why did that one comment from someone affect me so deeply?"Why did it make me so angry? Why did it make me so upset? Why is it that I just can't let it go? If you can relate to this, you know how it can ruin your day! And in today's episode, I'm going to talk about the power of words and how to work through those triggers and not let them take control over us. I'll get messages sometimes from people asking me how can I not let what my husband, mom, or friends say to me get to me. Like how can I avoid that? How can I not let these other people ruin my mindset? It's not the person who ruins your mindset. They have no effect on your mindset. They didn't ruin your day; you've ruined your mindset and your day. And so, here are three things we should do when someone says something that triggers us: Acknowledge the trigger: When you feel yourself getting heated by someone's words, take a moment to acknowledge that it is triggering you. Make a mental note of it. Journaling: After acknowledging the trigger, journal about the situation. Reflect on what happened and try to understand why it affected you. What did the person's words reveal about you? Seek freedom: Once you understand what the trigger illuminated about yourself, work towards becoming free from it. This involves actively addressing and processing these triggers and the words that trigger you from others. The way words from others affect us is connected to our self-beliefs. By exploring and questioning these beliefs, we can reduce the impact of others' words and regain control over how we react emotionally. 044: Five Ways To Be More Consistent

When I started my first business, I had no knowledge about entrepreneurship, but my mentor emphasized the power of consistency. In today's Do Life Big Podcast episode, we've discussed all about CONSISTENCY. And this is one of the most important things for you to achieve any goal that you're working towards, whether it's in business, your relationships, or your health; consistency is always king.  I remember I got two great books that transformed my mindset when I was still a beginner, "The Compound Effect" and "The Slight Edge." Consistency is challenging because results aren't immediate, but you can achieve incredible success by showing up every day, even when motivation wanes, and focusing on income-producing activities. And so, I want to share with you my top five ways to be more consistent and make your goals a reality! 1. Work off a list of the top three things you need to do every day to move closer to your goal and prioritize them consistently. 2. Be intentional with your time by having a clear list to work from, which helps you avoid distractions and unproductive activities. 3. Focus on acknowledging and appreciating how far you have come rather than fixating on how much further you need to go, cultivating gratitude for your progress. 4. Stay focused on your own journey and avoid comparing yourself to others, as everyone has different circumstances and timelines. 5. Keep it simple by staying consistent in small actions every day, as consistency is key to success in any area of life and helps build reliability and trustworthiness. Whatever that thing is that you need to start, you need to start it. And then when you do start it, don't stop! If you're trying to go from point A to point B, but you're sabotaging your success because of perfectionism, and if it's literally stopping you from starting and beginning to take action toward whatever it is that you want to go for, then this week's Do Life Big Podcast episode is for you. Perfectionism is a huge topic that many people struggle with, and it can destroy our personal lives and productivity. But we need to know that perfectionism is not attainable because perfection does not exist. Celebrate the completion of tasks rather than obsessing over minor imperfections. Remember that something is always better than nothing, and it's through action that you gain experience, confidence, and momentum. 041: Embracing Starting Over and Having a Beginner's Mindset

I think it's time we normalize starting over and being a beginner again. We all encounter this at some point in our lives, whether it is in our careers, businesses, relationships, or personal aspirations. Sometimes, we reach a point where we realize what we're doing no longer aligns with our true purpose and goals. BUT the fear of starting over often prevents us from taking that leap of faith and pursuing something new. In today's Do Life Big Podcast episode, we will talk about this fear and explore ways to overcome it. But here's the thing: starting over and embracing a beginner's mindset can bring a looooot of benefits. I personally experienced this when I spent two and a half years transitioning away from my online business to create my own program. 040: 5 Tips to Overcome Your Imposter Syndrome

Imagine you have recently been promoted. You were thrilled to receive this opportunity because you know that you worked hard to earn it. Or imagine you are an aspiring entrepreneur with amazing business ideas. You have spent countless hours researching and developing your startup. BUT... As you enter your new role, you question whether you truly deserve the position or begin doubting your ability to run a successful business. If you have thoughts like, "I don't have enough experience," "I'm not capable of these responsibilities," or "What if I fail?" then YOU'RE NOT ALONE. Here's the truth: I just went through it this past week. I experienced all of these kinds of things, too, just like you do! If you set high standards and high expectations, you're more likely to experience impostor syndrome. Today's Do Life Big Podcast is all about OVERCOMING Imposter Syndrome. It's that nagging feeling of self-doubt and fear despite our achievements and capabilities. And so, here are five tips to overcome it and embrace your true potential! Focus on some deep breathing in a quiet place when you're alone, just in through the nose and out through the mouth for just two minutes. It doesn't have to be anything crazy; you can do it when you're alone in the car or when you're in the shower.   Think about your successes. Focus on the things that have worked well for you, your business, or your life, and think about and remember how you felt when you were having those successes in your life.   Remember your achievements. Because here's the thing, impostor syndrome purposely makes you ignore or block out any of your past achievements. Don't downplay your successes. Embrace them, acknowledge your hard work, and let your confidence soar.  Share as much of your knowledge and experience with others as you can. Because the more that you're sharing about what you're doing, and sharing your knowledge and sharing your mission with what you're doing, and why you're doing what you're doing, why you want to be able to do what you're doing to impact others, you automatically are going to attract more like-minded people to you. Celebrate every single small win. This may seem like no big deal to you, but it should be a big deal to you. And it deserves to be celebrated. And you deserve to take a second to stop and pause and put the go-getting attitude and the hustler attitude and all of that aside to remember how far you've come and celebrate those small wins.  Believe in yourself. Trust your abilities. You are worthy of success and capable of achieving great things. Let go of doubt, and Do Life Big! 034: How Working More Creates Income Plateaus (and What to Do Instead!)

If you have flatlined or gone backward in your income for at least three months, even though you've been showing up and working on your business every day, then you might be the discouraged entrepreneur with big dreams, and I've got a powerful episode for you today! In today's episode, I talk about a concept called the "Groundhog Cycle." It's like the movie "Groundhog Day," which is about this guy who wakes up on (yep.. you guessed it.. Groundhog Day!) every morning. The same day keeps repeating itself over and over again, and the only way for him to break out of this loop is to learn the lesson he has to learn!  I was in the Groundhog Cycle for two-and-half-years! I wake up...I show up...I do the same thing every single day... Hoping that there will be a different outcome, yet it's always the same result, and my income is not growing! Stuck in a rut; but also feeling completely frustrated and flustered about it because I knew I had so much more to give and so much untapped potential still there! And the thing is, during that time, I thought I just wasn't working hard enough, or doing enough personal growth. I read more books, invested in more trainings, and worked later into the night and earlier into the morning, all while having nothing to show for it!  Eventually, what I realized was that the root of my problem keeping me in stuck as a discouraged entrepreneur with big dreams were actually my hidden INNER THOUGHTS and my SELF-LIMITING BELIEFS. Because they were so hidden, I never even knew they were there.  And since then, I've learned that working on our thoughts and beliefs is the only way to remove those blocks that are keeping us from having the success that we want in our business!  I've also got an exciting announcement this week! 031: 3 Traits The Most Successful Entrepreneurs I've Met Have In Common!

One of the most impactful quotes I ever heard when I started my entrepreneurial journey was "Success Leaves Clues".  It's why I LOVE seeing, learning, and reading about other people's success; because there are always things to learn from them that you can then apply in your own life!  When I started my first business nearly 9 years ago, I looked to others who were doing what I wanted to do, and I did the same things. I always took the lessons my mentors had for me and just applied them with the faith that it was going to work out. I  carried an attitude of "If they can do it, then so can I!" In today's Do Life Big Podcast, I share "behind the scenes" about some of the most successful entrepreneurs that I've personally met over the past few years, and the top 3 things that I've noticed that they have in common! These entrepreneurs span all kinds of businesses, from real estate, to attorneys, to manufacturing, to construction, to online businesses.  Most of these people are friends of mine now - and it's so interesting to see that they carry some of these common threads!  First - they carry super passion and excitement what they do. They love talking about it, they love thinking of ways to improve their businesses and make their customers happy. More importantly, they LOVE what they do! Now that doesn't mean they are ALWAYS excited to work (your business isn't here to entertain you!) but, they show up excited to do what they do.  Secondly, they want to solve problems or create real change in the world. They want to make things better! They found a hole in the marketplace and worked to figure out how to improve that thing. 030: How the "I'll Be Happy When" Mindset Sabotages Your Fulfillment!

One of the most common stories I hear from people I coach is that they have this BIG goal for their life, and they have then attached happiness and joy to the achievement.  They will say things to me like,  "I'll be happy when I reach six-figures in my business" "I'll be happy when I can quit my 9 to 5 job""When I have a large following on social media, then I'll be satisfied" And the thing is that to really achieve success you need to find happiness, joy, and fulfillment along the way to those goals. It's not an end result.  So, in today's Do Life Big Podcast, I talk first about why we keep chasing happiness. If you haven't heard of the Hedonic Treadmill, it's a basic idea that happiness after a change (negative or positive) ends up going back to your own baseline.  Did you know: both lottery winners AND paraplegics returned to their baseline level of happiness in just a year after those events? That was mind blowing to me!  I also give you some great tips and actionable strategies to avoid this hedonic treadmill, including how to stay present in the moment, align your goals with your values, and build a growth mindset.  Remember, the joy really is in the journey. I know in my own life, I've often had the most fun when I'm learning and growing on the way to the goals that we set. 029: 5 Quick Tips to Improve Your Mental 🧠 Health!

When life gets overwhelming, or you are feeling like all the weight of the world is on your shoulders, then you already know how important it is to manage those emotions and your mental health. If you don't manage your mental health during high-stress and high-pressure times, then it can quickly cascade and affect every aspect of your life - your health, your relationships, and even your inner peace. Today's Do Life Big Podcast is all about some QUICK and actionable tips you can implement to flip around and improve your mental health! If you implement these tips into your life when you start feeling that pressure, you will be much more able to take these situations in stride and not let it knock you down! First - know that sometimes things that bother you are long-term and some are short-term. For example, you may be stressed about something someone said at work, but then a few hours later you have totally forgotten it. A good benchmark is to give yourself 24  to 48 hours to see if that situation is STILL bothering you; and if it is, you should speak up about it instead of pushing it down. Second, practice expressing your emotions and sharing your feelings with those around you. Especially for you people pleasers (like me!), having a tendancy to not say anything because you don't want to ruffle feathers can lead to a build-up of emotions that end up bursting out at some unexpected time. Thirdly; ask for help! so many of us are afraid to ask for help when we really need it, but there are so many friends and family that want to help. Don't be afraid to get help when you really need it. You don't need to carry every single thing with you! Fourth - treat yourself like someone you are responsible for taking care of! One thing I talk about inside my programs often is how we tend to treat ourselves worse than we would ever treat someone else. That includes self-talk and the expectations we place on ourselves. For the mental health side of this, this is all about treating yourself kindly! Finally, get some silence in your life! It can just be a few minutes. 028: The 5 Emotional Stages You Need to Navigate to Create Real CHANGE In Your Life!

Imagine wanting to create a change in your life, and just making it happen with a snap of your fingers? 🤞Well..... sorry to break it to you but unfortunately, it doesn't work like that!This week's Do Life Big Podcast is all about understanding the emotional stages you HAVE to go through to create change! And if you understand those stages, you will be WAY more likely to actually go through them to completion (and as a result, actually creating the change you want!) Here's the thing - if you want a different RESULT in your life, then you have to do something different!If you keep doing what you have always been doing, you will keep getting the same results. Your life will not automatically change by just "waiting it out", and ... no one is coming to save you. Change in your life starts (and ends) with YOU! In today's episode, I cover in depth the 5 different emotional stages we ALL  go through when creating change, and give you tips for understanding and moving through them! Stage 1 is all about optimism! The change you want is new, and exciting, but you haven't yet uncovered any of the challenges you will need to go through! Most of us approach this stage with a high level of energy and excitement.  Stage 2 is where you become aware of the changes you will have to personally make. This is where you learn that you will have to give something up or let something go. This is the stage where anxiety and some frustration start to show up. This is where you start to confront your comfort zone! Stage 3 is the Valley of Despair, the lowest part of creating change. This is the point where you second guess yourself. You wonder if you are really cut out for this. This is also where most people quit, which only puts you back to Stage #1! And so many people live their lives on this loop of going from Stage 1 to Stage 3 and then back to stage 1 again.  Stage 4 is the Road to Probability - this is where the challenges you faced start to come together and you can actually see a path forward. All of the confusion, dissaray starts to fade away. You can actually SEE what is possible again, like the fog clearing!  Stage 5 is Excitement and Fulfillment - This is where you think "I am so glad I stuck this out!" and the change is actually implemented in your life! 027: How To Use Your Gut Instinct To Make Decisions!

When preparing for this week's Do Life Big Podcast, I spent time researching the gut and where "gut instinct" comes from, because I often operate from a gut instinct perspective. Actually, most of the decisions I make nowadays are from intuition. And I was curious if there was actually science around trusting your intuition!  Well, turns out, there is a LOT of science around your gut (or "second brain!"). 024: 8 Tips to Overcome Being a People Pleaser

Did you know: I used to be a MAJOR people pleaser for like, the first 30 years of my life? Yup, it's true! I would make so many decisions based on what others expected of me (or even what I assumed they expected!)And I remember one day, almost 10 years ago when I first started my health & fitness business, coming face to face with how people pleasing shows up:  I had family tell me that I was wasting my elementary education degree and throwing away my career.  I had friends tell me i was too overweight to run a health & fitness business I had others me that it was a pipe-dream thinking I would succeed with NO experience running any kind of business! I had decided to start that business for just one reason: to continue stay home with my little kids who were 3 years old and 18 months at the time. And when these comments happened, as painful as it was to hear people who supposedly care about me, downplay what I wanted to do; I knew I had to make a choice. Option A) was go back to work, put my kids in day-care, and give up on dreams of being a stay-at-home mom. And eventually live with REGRET. ❌ Option B)  was ignore the naysayers, and do what I knew I wanted to do.  For me, the choice was easy.And since then, I have gained so much personal power. I make decisions now based on what I want to do, and not what others expect of me. 023: How High Performers Reframe Situations To Create Success

Have you ever had that voice in your head that's thought, "Why does it seem so effortless for everyone else?" Especially when faced with a challenge, so many of us (without even knowing it!!) give those challenges or setbacks a meaning about what is possible for us. Whelp, I've got an AWESOME episode for you today! You will learn that when you create is a negative meaning about a situation, then it becomes impossible to grow or get past it.The meaning becomes a ❌ ROADBLOCK. You probably already know this though, right?For example, let's say you are trying to eat healthier and make better choices with your meals, but then you go to a friends birthday party and have a few Captain & Cokes 🍸, a slice of cake 🍰 , and some eggrolls 🥢. You've blown it for the night! 😱So what happens next? You can interpret that a few different ways. ✔ You can choose to make it mean you failed, and just let this totally derail you from your goals. You knew you didn't have the willpower to avoid the food, and this just reinforced it. I'm destined to fail! ✔ OR, you can choose to just isolate the story to that day. Hey, it was a birthday party, I ate and drank more than i planned, but today is a new day and I'm going to move forward from here. It's about progress, not perfection. Imagine if every time you had a fear that made you freeze like a deer in the headlights, you knew how to push through that fear and do what you know you SHOULD do? How much would your life change? Up to this point, I was happily sitting on my computer in my yoga pants with my earbuds in, taking notes, ya know, anonymously.But now I was going to be thrown into a virtual room, camera ON, with strangers, to talk about successes in our business, with no notice at all! I panicked. I quit zoom and shut the lid to the laptop. It happened so fast, I didn't even know I had done it! A complete fight or flight response 😏After a few seconds, I gathered my thoughts, and I knew what I had to do.I took a deep breath. 🧘‍♀️I opened the laptop. For me, it's not just Christmas and New Year's - but also the season of both of my parent's birthday and my daughter's birthday. 016: Is Your Attention In The Right Place?

Have you ever felt like you wanted to create something in your life so badly but it's just not happening?  A lot of times we THINK that we are focusing on that thing that we REALLY want, but without even realizing it we are focusing on what we DON'T want. And a lot of times, we don't even know we are doing this!  An example of this is if you want to go on a vacation with your family but you don't currently have the money in the bank. You know you really want to go on this vacation, but you are subconsciously focused on the fact that the money for this trip doesn't exist. You subconsciously have on repeat, "I can't afford this." or "I am broke."What happens here then is that you are focused on the lack of resources to make this vacation happen - and when this happens, you actually attract MORE lack into your life! Instead, shift your focus on what you CAN DO to earn more money, or how you can save more money. 014: An 80 Year Old with an Oxygen Tank Beat Me....

Way back in 2009, my husband and I ran the Boston Marathon. This was like a bucket list item for me. I always wanted to run a marathon to prove to myself I could do it! One of my most vivid memories, is around mile 13 / 14 when this older guy who was at least 80 years old, passed me. I was running (really, trudging!) and this guy slowly passes me, and behind him he has this cart with an oxygen tank attached to it and the tube running to his nose. I remember my husband saying, "Kathi, come on! We can't let this guy pass us!" and I just though to myself ... well pssscccchh.. he has oxygen! Of course he has an advantage! 🤣That day has a lot of memories, but the reason I bring this story up is actually about the power of visualization, which got me to that point to begin with!In this week's podcast, I talk about how I completed that race, which is way out of my comfort zone., including how visualization helped me get through the mental struggles of running a marathon!It doesn't matter if YOU want to run a marathon or not - the power of visualization is something you can use to help you with any goal that you have.  Wow, do I know what it feels like to SCREW IT UP! I remember when I started my first online business 8-1/2 years ago; I was the most SALESY person you could imagine!. I would make posts on my social media with pictures of products I was selling, or maybe me holding them and smiling.I remember how ICKY I felt. 012: Why it took me 3-1/2 YEARS to lose 35 pounds!

Have you ever been STUCK for so long, and you just can't figure out how to BREAKTHROUGH to the next level?  You are doing all the things... but just not making any progress?  In today's episode, I talk about my own experience with this, and use my example of trying to get back into SHAPE as I turned 40 years old!  I started building this negative story about my age and what that meant in terms of what was possible for me. People around me would say things like "you are 40 now", "You've had 3 kids", to justify why I wasn't making progress.  I was working out, but my mindset wasn't right. Because of that, my actions weren't right.  I'd sneak off the kids plates when I made them grilled cheese or chicken nuggets.  I'd have a couple extra Captain's mid-week.  At the same point in time, I would look at other people I knew who were the same age as me, or even older, who were making it happen. Feeling and looking GREAT. And I flipped the "switch" in my mind. I turned around those limiting beliefs around my age, and my metabolism, and around my post-baby body. And you can guess what happened next! Last weekend, I flew out to Phoenix (Yep, again, I was there actually two weekends in a row ..... can you say jetlagged?? ✈ 🤣)Believe it or not, for me, this trip was 100% out of my comfort zone. I've traveled a lot for my previous business, but at every event I went to, I knew someone there, and usually went with Nick.This event I went to last weekend, I literally knew NO ONE. So I had to go into rooms and just meet people out of the blue. Some people thrive in those situations, but for me it was a challenge! But I also know that if I want to grow and learn, then I have to be OK with being uncomfortable. I have to be OK with doing something that makes me scared or nervous! And I'm SO GLAD I went - the ⚡ energy at the event was mind-blowing 🤯 I learned SO much from the amazing speakers and met so many absolutely AMAZING entrepreneurs and podcasters. BUT - the ONE thing that I found fascinating was the common🧵 thread among all the speakers there who had massive 6-figure and 7-figure success, and even one speaker who sold her IT Cosmetics business for over a BILLION dollars 😵... Once they built a belief system that was aligned with their goals - there was no 🛑 stopping them! They, deep down inside, KNEW what they wanted to accomplish. 009: What To Do When You Begin To Lose Belief in Yourself!

If you don't first BELIEVE in YOURSELF, then all the ACTION in the world won't get you closer to your goal. That might be a hard pill to swallow for you. I've been thinking a lot about self-belief recently.In my past eight years as an entrepreneur, I've come across SO MANY peeps who struggle with just simply BELIEVING in themselves. .......Maybe you've been there as well? I think back to when we were little kids - the WORLD was FULL of possibility, optimism and HOPE! My kids Landon & Kiersten right now have a vision for their life of literally building a secret base with an arcade and movie theater in a floor of our house that doesn't even exist yet. It only exists in their MIND! 🧠Then, as we get older, basically - SH&T Happens. Maybe a relationship falls apart, or we start a business and fail. A person we respect or admire shoots down your dream or idea. A family member, friend, or even spouse doesn't believe in you. And THEN, what our brains do is STACK these little failures next to what we THOUGHT our life would look like, and it makes you feel like total garbage. Right? 006: 🌀 Hurricane Ian and CONTROLLING the Controllable!

Focusing on what you can control, even during a Hurricane 🌀! This has been an interesting week for me - If you weren't aware, my family and I live in Gulf Coast Florida, and this past week we had to evacuate our home which is in a flood zone to avoid Hurricane Ian.  This is, obviously, a very stressful situation - we had to prepare our house, move stuff up high on shelves in case it floods, and pack up the car and off we go. Myself + Husband, our 3 kids, our dog 🐕‍🦺 Kali, and my son's hedgehog Maple. 🦔 The thing is, we didn't know what we would come back to. In a worst-case scenario, our house could be completely destroyed along with all of our "stuff".  In this episode, I talk all about how we have to focus on what we can control.  I sure as heck can't control a freakin' hurricane, but I know what I can control - my mind, and my thoughts about the potential outcomes. I can control my actions - the decision to evacuate. What to pack. How to prepare our house.  Of course, we know bad things can happen - and this storm did a LOT of bad things further south from where we live - but that's nothing that I can do anything about. 005: The #1 Thing to CHANGE When You Plateau!

  The #1 Thing to CHANGE When You Plateau!  A lot of times, when we feel self-doubt creeping in and sabotaging us, or we hit a roadblock on the way towards our goals, we work on attacking the symptoms rather than the actual problem.  In my business that I started eight years ago, I had lots of success in my first year. But then I hit a roadblock. My business growth plateaued, and I started to get in my head about it.To solve the problem, I thought I had to just work HARDER, and do MORE of the things.  But the problem is, they weren’t inspired activities, because my mindset wasn’t right. I was approaching it with frustration and even irritation 😤 So what happened? I grew even MORE frustrated, because my activity level and effort increased, but my results didn’t change! Eventually (like, 2 YEARS later), I finally connected the dots that my own self-doubt was making my actions worthless. It’s like - if you want to build muscle, and you go to the gym, but you just pick the lightest weights and never push yourself. You just won’t progress. You are taking action, but it’s not inspired.
