Cindy always knew she wanted a profession where she could help people. As a young receptionist at a dental practice in Branson, Missouri, she found her dentist to be a willing mentor—and the job just clicked. She quickly learned about the many aspects of working in a practice, and her training in clinical and clerical skills provided all the tools she needed to embark on a lifelong career. Along the way, Cindy has served as a certified dental assistant and office administrator, in addition to earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration. She loved getting to know her patients and used her quick sense of humor to make their appointments—and her work—fun and rewarding. Just ask the Branson entertainer who sat down for X-rays one day and asked what the lead apron was for. Cindy said it was in case he blew up, then proceeded to go around the corner and flinch as she pressed the button. When she said they'd gotten lucky because he was still there, he laughed so hard the plastic X-ray device flew out of his mouth. Today, Cindy is passionate about training and consulting for dental practices. She is a former Field Training Manager for a Practice Management Software. With more than 17 years of training experience, and over 30 years in dentistry, she excels as a large-group presenter at workshops and seminars. Having obtained a Royal Australia Air Force (RAAF) Undergraduate Scholarship for his final 2 years of UQ Dental School, Dr Holmes (Daryl) commenced his career as a Dental Officer in the RAAF in Adelaide, Sth Australia, in 1988, then was fortunate enough to work, not only in Australia, but in the United Kingdom, until August, 1991. Rachel Hall graduated form Leeds University in 1992 and worked as a NHS dentist in the UK for 8 years where she honed her skills to be very time efficient and productive. Carl is a true 'serial entrepreneur', he started making money serving in his parents shop at the age of 8, he bought his first house at the age of 17. He was fundamental in the success of the very first combined Legal and Real Estate business in the UK, taking a 60% market share of all property listings in his home city of York. Vicki was co-recipient of the Most Inspirational Award as voted on by her classmates at Shoreline. Vicki was president of WDHA (Washington State Dental Hygienist's Assoc.) in 2000, served as a delegate to ADHA for many years and was elected to serve on both the Ethic and Finance Committees for ADHA. She has had 5 articles published in RDH, and Op-Ed in Access and digitally in DPR. Vicki has a passion for making a difference. She is the founder of Smiles for Veterans, which has provided nearly $75,000.00 in care over the last 5 years. She is the regional coordinator for the Oral Cancer Foundation. Vicki was one of the 2014 Sunstar/RDH Distinguished Hygienist Award winners. She also received the 2015 ADHA/Colgate Community Service Award and the Young Caring Clinician Award. She recently joined the team at Fidalab to provide education, marketing and sales from a dental hygiene point of view. Dr. Kyle Fagala is the owner and orthodontist at Saddle Creek Orthodontics, with two locations in Germantown and Collierville, Tennessee. Dr. Fagala graduated from The University of Tennessee in May of 2013 with a certificate in orthodontics and a master's degree in Dental Science for his thesis on three-dimensional imaging of the airway. Dr. Fagala is the course director and lecturer of Development of the Occlusion, a class for 1st year dental students at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He is also co-founder of the digital marketing agency Neon Canvas, host of the web series The Digital Orthodontist, and Key Opinion Leader for 3M Oral Care and Komet Burs. He loves music, specifically the drums, and spends more time than he should on social media.
